Can get enough of Burst's Baked Oyster and their Sansrival cake is better than Goldilocks!
For sure this will not be our last dinner at Burst, the crews and owner are very accommodating, and the place classic ambiance is perfect!
Thanks for the super great accommodation! Great food and great place at affordable prices! We'll definitely come back! The following are must tries!!!
1. Burst oysters
2. Paella negra
3. Grilled blue marlin
4. Lengua
5. Sinaing na tulingan
6. Nutella cheesecake
Great job! :)
They serve great food! The owner are very accommodating! Burst Oysters and Sylvanas are the best!
The Rotary Club of Padre Faura Manila choose Burst as one of its venues for fellowship.
Superb service, great tasting food.
Sobrang sarap! Literal! Caldereta, Callos, Paella! Very accomodating ni Chef Alvin. More powers!
A must try! Loved everything we ordered from main course to dessert!

Ambience 3 - very dark and uninviting.
Service 3 - I rate everything that meets expectations a 3. They weren’t very welcoming and a lot of the servers were busy with their phones Altho service was fast and efficient.
Quality 5 - True to its name, the tastes explode in your mouth. The lumpiang shanghai is exceptional.
Zomato gold got us two extra servings of the paellas. I preferred the negra. Soooo tasty.
Price 3 - almost gave it a 4 had the servings been just a little bigger. Again, it just meets expectations.
Best lengua and kalderata I’ve tasted so far! The portions are great for sharing. Will definitely go back!
Burst is located inside the second floor of the alphaland bldg, the stall was not that evident but the servers/chef are great. They also have in house promotions like 30% off today or 20% off on the food.
For zomato gold 1+1, it will be priced at the regular price. Upo. The recommendation of our good server, we ordered beef kaldereta and blue marlin. The kaldereta was so tender and juicy, it was even served hot so when you combine it with rice, its heaven! The blue marlin was thin wnd very garlicy! Which just suits are taste! It must have been cooked with garlic and butter 💛💛💛 these meals comes with soup too! We were served corn soup and i think it has bits of either carrots or squash.
Overall, we will go back to this resto since most of our comfortfoods are readily available and served fast :)
All their food are best paired with rice... Excellent Food!! Excellent customer service! A thumbs up for burst! Well, I still have to try the other dishes they offer, after all.
Try ordering Paella Negra and combo it with their Lengua. 🧨🧨🧨 It's so good together! Their Bicol Express and Pork Sinigang are also good; the Lumpiang Shanghai, not so much
It's my sister who told me about this find at Alphaland Makati Place. So, when I saw they delivered via zomato, I grabbed the opportunity to have Lengua (P295) delivered with plain rice.
She told me that this eatery owned by the Aguila couple served very good home-cooked meals. In fact, her recommendations were to try the paellas especially the negra and all their saucy dishes meaning Kaldereta, Lengua and Callos.
Their Lengua was good, reminds me of my favorite lengua. The one my mom used to make. This was our bestseller in our restaurant in the States in the late '80s, early '90s. There was no aftertaste and was well executed. The fries provided a good counter, it was not greasy and had a good crisp.
I will try my sister's other recommendations soon.
If ure looking for a great tasting baked oyster at a very affordable price, then burst is the place to go! Their lady staff smiles often and is approachable also. Will definitely come back :) experience would have been perfect if they play Spanish music instead of OPM since they're a Spanish resto.
Food selection was great and tasted even better. Servers were friendly and respectful. Nice ambiance. Will definitely come back again and try other meals.
My first time to visit here. Thanks to Zomato Gold, I was able to get a good deal. Busog ako until dinner time siguro.
I like their paella. Good for 2-3 but 1 for someone who is starving like me.
The Blue Marlin was okay and the Burst Oysters are so affordable.
Ambiance was homey with little noise from other tables.
Thanks for the food and accommodation. 👌🏻😁🤙🏻😋
This is my third time here at Burst and I am always satisfied with the quality of food that they serve. Today, we ordered grilled prawns and Tofu and Chicharon. They taste fantastic. Succulent and Tender. The staff are very polite and friendly as well.
Paella Negra is to die for. It's the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Burst.
The Grilled Prawns are a generous serving of 4 buttered prawns with a mini scoop of crab fat. Grilled Blue Marlin is delicious with butter and garlic.

While on a business trip in Makati, I took a (very) late lunch at this quaint Spanish restaurant inside the Alphaland Mall. Burst’s dining space is dimly lit with darkwood furniture and paintings of Spain’s vistas adorning the walls. Mellow pop and OPM music are piped in, giving the place a relaxed vibe (but detracting from the Spanish feel).
Price friendly. Affordable food for super Friday hungry stomach. There’s a hispanic ambiance, you could feel it once you enter their place. I’m lucky to enjoy the place by myself.
We went here last month for our year-end lunch with my office friends. This was recommended to us by a fellow colleague also and since it so near our office, we decided to give it a try. The place is just simple and quiet but I like their wall paintings. We also like everything we ordered especially the Paellas (we ordered both all meat & Paella Negra). I would have rated this a 4 or even a 4.5 because they are so affordable given the tasteful food they serve but unfortunately we found a tiny hair strand at our Paella Negra. :( We told the waitress about it and showed her what we found. She apologized but did not offer to replace our order, thus the rating.
But other than that, I think I would still give this another try if and when I crave something Spanish.
I dined here yesterday with my friends and i swear i had a foodgasm at the first bite of baked oyster! It really is worth the price! The lengua is a must-try as well! I'll definitely come back soon ❤️
Quality food at an affordable price.
The Eatventurers tried this place back in 2014.
We love how the owner Mr. Aguila attended to us promptly and explained all the dishes.
We also love their rockefeller partnered with green tabasco. Paella and the tofu’s nice as well. Hope to try this again.

Dined here twice already and I'm certain there will be more opportunities for us to do so again.
If you have been to a couple of Spanish restaurants, I'm pretty sure you'll find their prices reasonable. Spanish cooking are in fact costly, hence Filipinos often have more affordable versions. From the dishes we've sampled from both visits, I'd say they are aiming for the authentic version while trying very hard to be affordable.
But with that goal comes a cost. I think what's missing here is the consistency of the dishes. Some dishes were worth a 5 but some were a mere 2. I would highly recommend that you review the menu, take out the dishes you feel are too costly to acquire an authentic taste to avoid compromising the flavor and keep the food you know you can cook with all the love in the world without compromising the price.
Kudos to the wait staff who's more than happy to serve.
Corn soup was awesome - brings back memories from my childhood 😄
This place is just so amazing. Everything is just so perfect...
The place:
It's a bit ashamed that this restau is hidden in the 2nd Floor of Alphaland Makati.
There's a hispanic touch on it's interior. It's very cozy and nice to relax and hangout (while eating).
The Food:
The food has a very reasonable price. But i think you this is "underprice" considering the quality and taste of the food. Well this is a good thing for us foodies.
The staff:
The staff are very nice and will treat you like a VIP.
The dine experience:
The overall is just so perfect. This is just not a must try but more of a place that you will definitely love to come back over and over and over....
Very nice restaurant that serves tasty meals. Will definitely look for this restaurant when in the area. The tapa is good and comparable to the best mainstream restaurants
HIDDEN IN THE "HIDDEN MALL" in Makati found this foooodie place 🎉
Oh, this resto is a real fun- artsy place to dine! Aesthetics wise, they killed it with their interior design. 🤗 Somewhat mesmerizing ✨
Now the food, we ordered their bestsellers. What stood out the most is their Oysters! Never thought oysters would look that appetizing andddd! It was super good! Heck, really good! BURSTing with goodness (craving for more as I type this) HAHA It was a great deal 👍🏻 Even the price point: Excellent!
Bonus points for the staff and servers. Good food and good service! 😊
Would definitely eat there again! 😋
It's a must try restaurant! applause for the cook for making such delicious and hearty meals 😛
I went there and tried their Oysters, Blue Marlin etc — everythaaang's delicious. I could actually give you guys a long list of reasons on why you should eat at this resto but then again, it would take forever! I mean, don't get me started on their Oysters 💣💣
The Oysters are sooo good! They are guaranteed fresh 💯 Who doesn't love fresh?? If you're craving for oysters, dine at Burst! Trust me, it's worth it! ❤️
i so love eating here. It may not be the best but it is very good for its price. the restaurant is running a sale now, up to 40% off. try them now

Burst labels itself as a Spanish restaurant. So I recently went here, craving for Spanish dessert.
It was a disappointment. Famous Spanish postres (desserts) like churros and hot chocolate are not in the menu! No leche flan either. So I settled with blueberry cheesecake and silvana. The cake was delicious but not the best I've tasted. Silvana had the right sweetness but not that chewy.
I haven't tried the main dishes though. The paella looks promising. Right now they're on 20-30% on selected dishes including paella. I'm thinking that the discount is their way to survive as I often see this poor restaurant quiet and empty. In fact when I dined in, I was the only customer.
Although the place seems dead in the absence of customers, the interior looks nice. It gives you the Spanish era feel. The paintings on the wall and the lights look elegant. However, the table sheets, place mats and coasters look like a carinderia. My wooden seat created that yanking sound that was a bit annoying.
Customer service was fine. The waitress was easy to talk with and all my needs were attended to right away.
It's our second time to dine in Burst. The first time, I ordered their prawns while my mom ordered the salmon. It was delicious! And for our second time, I ordered their Beef Caldereta while ny mom ordered the Sinigang de Tuliahan. It was as delicious as the food that we ordered the first time! The place too was cozy, and very classy. The owner of Burst was very accomodating and friendly, as well as their employees. Good job, Burst! 👌🏻
I usually dine here fortnightly. It's tasty and affordable. My favorite menu is Negra Paella and Burst Oysters. They also serve corn soup as a complimentary which is great.
Ask someone if he/she knows alphaland? Or does alphaland makati has shops or stores on its second floor? Or is there even a restaurant up there? Really?! Or do they even know that burst exists? Lol
I think that is the major disadvantage and dillema of burst in alphaland, makati. It lacks promotion and marketing. The place is a nook and someone might find it hard to notice. But it is not my problem anymore. It is nanay's problem (the owner used to be seated on one of the tables inside with her crane).
Anyway, I am very keen with interiors and i find their's 'un poco confuso' (a little confusing) as they are obviously flaunting a spanish theme from paintings like el matador to spanish dishes like paella negra and lengua; yet i have a weird feeling that some mediterranean contexts were mixed and intercrossed in the ambiance (greek or moroccan maybe).
Anyway. The food. The soup. Oh! I love the hearty corn soup with malunggay that i even asked for another cup. We ordered baked prawns and lengua. The shrimps were ok but i find the servings small. It has an alavar sauce- like sauce. Lengua is quite oily so i ordered for beef caldereta. It has olives and mushrooms and it tastes very unique than how my mom and dad used to cook it. It might be the "sauciest" caldereta ever. I can taste the olives every time i slurped on the sauce. Hehe. Beef is very tender bdway that it could melt on your mouth.
Not bad, really. They are always on 20-40% discount so we paid for a very 'maliit na bagay' (small thing) bill.
We tried this place located in the Alphaland mall back in October 30, 2014. The owners were very warm and introduced us to their food and how they were prepared.
Oysters = A big steal at a discounted price of 180 PHP
Blue Marlin = Big slice, definitely worth it as they served it with a sampler of their soup.
Paella Negra = My order every single time. I have been there for more than a dozen times already and I always order this.
All-Meat Paella = My officemate tried it and she loves it, I tried it once but I still love Paella Negra more. Hehe
Lengua = very tender, too bad the order is slightly small for me, I am the type of person who eats minimal rice and eats the dishes like rice.
Callos = very tender and juicy, but like I have said, slightly bitin for me.
Grilled Prawns= I like it except that I am not a rice person so it is also bitin for me. They allow you to order just the dishes though if you don't wanna have the rice, less 10 PHP
Beef Tapa = Tapa King will cry!
Regarding their staff, they are very courteous and EXTREMELY helpful. I once lost something because I wrapped it in tissue and left it behind when I stood up, I called and texted Burst's official numbers and even left a message on their FB, they replied that they will try to look it up for me. Geez, their staff went through the hassle of fishing it from the bin for me. I am eternally grateful.
Had a great meal here. Yes, it has a "lutong bahay" feel, Yes, it's not trendy like most restaurants but if you look past all that, You will realize the food is pretty good. And affordable. We ordered the blue marlin, the all-meat paella and the kaldereta. The blue marlin was heavenly and cooked perfectly. The all-meat paella was soft and tasty. The kaldereta had generous sauce and was yummy but this dish lacked a little "oomph." But that's okay, the other food shined. The service was terrific too. It was like chillin' out at home. I hope more people come here and check it out!
9/10
Beef caldereta which is cooked for 6 hours is very tender.
Grilled prawns w/ crab fat sauce is a good combo.
Sans Rival is not too sweet with lots of walnuts.
Overall food is yum at affordable prices!
Tip: Executive chef and owner Alvin Aguila is very hands on. Maybe you can get soup on the house if he approaches you.
The food was great. It is a family run business- dad, mom, son and daughter were there to assist. Very nice food. You must try the calderetta with olives, blue marlin, tulingan ala batangas, I'm not fond of oysters but the baked scallops is a superb alternative. Visit it and no ouch on the wallet. Nice job guys.
