My dad and I chanced upon Bugong back in 2016. It was a weekend and not a lot of restos in the Dela Rosa Car Park area were open. So we decided to try Bugong - and I’m glad we did! My dad is quite particular with food but he has nothing but praises for this small dining place. The servings are quite generous. Their chicken is delicious; not the fast food kind. He loved his Thai rice. And the pricing is very reasonable. Bugong is one of our rare finds in Makati.😃
We had Bugong Asian Combo and Bugong Salad Combo. I loved it. It's like Andok's chicken but not really. The salad was delicious too. But I wasn't a fan of the noodles that came with the Asian Combo. Cheap bites. Just liven up the interiors a bit.
Bugong is one of my lunch staples. Their salad + chicken is both refreshing and filling. It's definitely a healthier option than fastfood meals of the same price. Unfortunately, sometimes they run out of salad. Of course if you want to load on carbs, there are rice options and pasta which also taste great (thai rice and pasta victoria are my fave!)
Price is affordable and taste is great and not the usual chicken that you have eaten in popular fast foods. The chicken serving is also generous, not the 2 piece leg and thigh but a quarter of the chicken! There are also 3 kinds of rice that they serve: Thai rice, garlic and chive rice and kimchi rice. I like the simplicity of the place. It’s clean, vibrant and dynamic. The restaurant offers more than their best-selling roasted chicken.
My go-to place if I don't have baon. My favorites are the pasta victoria, poori pockets, and of course the chicken! 😛 can't wait to try their spring rolls too!
Food was good and affordable for the typical working dude or dudette. Loved the poori wrap! Loved the thai rice and chicken! Good thing they serve quality iced tea too.
Been here a week ago and the experience was okay.. The crews are very lively and cheerful.. The food i tried is i think the very basic, their roasted chicken and a mushroom soup on the side.. it was okay. It tastes nothing like an average roasted chicken, it is very flavorful and juicy, very asian... Yet I was a bit disappointed because i am looking forward to a more spicy flavor (because i love VERY spicy foods), but all in all it was satisfying and i think i'll go for another round of Bugong experience.. :) #bugongchicken
An underrated place in Legaspi Village. Some people may not even know that this restaurant actually exists but Bugong is really worth a try.
I'm surprised with how they were able to expand their menu and add more choices besides their staple roast chicken meals. The feel of the place also changed from your usual to-go counter to a home-inspired dining spot.
I tried their Asian Fresh Noodles and Pasta Victoria. I recommend the former for those who left their hearts in Vietnam. You'll love the mix of herbs and spices and how the chicken strips complements the whole dish. The latter is your ordinary penne pasta topped with tomato sauce and meatballs. Both are pocket-friendly and serving size is just enough.
Will definitely go back to this place! I'm eyeing on their Sunshine Pasta and breakfast meals! :)
My colleague and i were sick of The usual fast food fare for breakfast. So he suggested we try Bugong's breakfast. A-ha! This is nearer and it looked like a slow day to eat in the resto instead of taking it out.
The Omu rice is P99 and is one cup of fried rice that has sliced sausages inside, topped with a very thin omelette and dressed with barbecue sauce. The meal comes with brewed coffee.
My order was the big breakfast for P148 which was a cup of fried rice topped with fried egg and a sausage. There was diced tomato and green bell peppers on the side. If you mix the veggies with the rice, it tasted better. The meal also came with coffee. I must admit that the coffee made my day.
I would come back to try the omu rice next time.
Bugong has healthy plates. I like that not all are rice meals. They have chicken + salad combos. Aside from the best-seller chicken, you have to try their salads.
The 1/8 chicken is too small. It's better to get quarter chicken. The gravy tastes good. It's not too salty.
For dessert, once I tried the Berry Forest cupcake. It tasted usual.
Food here are affordable. You get your money's worth.
The place is located at Dela Rosa car park 1 beside pancake house (you can't miss it). It's quite small so the place is kinda packed during lunch time. I suggest you do take-out or just call for delivery. We usually order here when we have meetings at the office because of the fast delivery service. The chicken here is great. But They seem to increase their prices every year, but hey the food is still under my price range.
Just a small place in Dela Rosa Car park area where you can go for quick lunch or snack since its a Pay-as-you-order type of Restau and it won't take you long to wait for your food. Bugong is known for their chicken meals for a very reasonable price. But I was surprised that their pasta dishes are good too. You should also try their new Cucumber smoothie for only 65php!@
