Simply loved this place! Great ambiance, one of a kind combination of japanese, korean and pinoy flavors in one dish and super friendly and professional staff. If that's just the softopening, how will the proper opening be? Cant wait to come back :) keep up the good work!

If ever you're looking for an edgy or cool discovery, or a classic joint blowout, the best of the best is right here already! There is really ever only one answer- PERSEPHONE.
I enjoyed my Salmon with Veg Rice. It was so good that I wished it had some more on my plate. The price is reasonable though so two thumbs up! I also loved that there are so many healthy choices here. Would love to try some of them next time. Persephone has excellent service and ambience, oh and good music too! Perfect for dates with friends and loved ones ❤️
We had a really great time here. :) we were lucky to be the only ones here on a Sunday. The place is very dainty with beautiful floral-painted walls. :) my favorites here were the Bagnetsilog, the corn okoy and the fruit pavlova. :) the Bagnetsilog was very juicy. Pretty fatty but in a good way. Plus the kimchi surprisingly goes well with it. :) the corn okoy was so good and I loved coating it in Japanese mayo. The fruit pavlova is a must. It is so pretty but so good. It's the perfect way to end the meal. Service was amazing. :)
PERSEPHONE, A SEASONAL KITCHEN
Jupiter, Makati City
The first time I saw this restaurant, I said I cannot afford to buy anything served here, cause if you see it from the outside, you'll just say "bongga!". But luckily my boyfriend said that we will try the food here for our random date wahahha.
Ambiance: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Interior Design: 5/5
THE FOOD:
STUFFED MUSHROOM 4.5/5
Everything about this dish is unstoppable! I can't stop eating the mushroom hahah the beef was a little bit salty for me, but over all it was good. I HOPE they could serve something like the portabello mushroom only haha I was willing to pay even without the beef but they did not allow me, ugh sad face! hahaha
LAKSA PASTA 3.5/5
I am not a fan of this dish but my boyfriend like it. It has turmeric, shimeji mushrooms, chicken and lime.
PASTELON 4.5/5
Almost like a lasagna with a twist of caramelized banana. I love the fusion of the flavors and the combination of the ingredients. What I also loved about this dish is that it has different kinds of cheese in it. #cheeselover I hope they could add more cheese haha!
FISHBALL 4.5/5
I was thinking of the classic fishball, but having this inside my mouth, I said this is the social fishball ahahaha it taste great plus I so love theie hot sauce, yung nakakaubo at nakakapawis ahahah!
AVIATION
Tanqueray, peavh syrup, violet liquor & lemon... I don't care hahah I finished 2 rounds of this drink.
CHICKEN SKIN 3.5/5
Hope that it will be crispier next time we visit.
SEAFOOD PASTA 3.5/5
Yes it tastes seafood but I am not sure why it looks like a soup, maybe thats how it is really cooked, I don't know.
CLAM CHOWDER 4.5/5
Tasted so good and the consistency of thickness is just right, I just hope serving size would be bigger heheh.
FRUIT PAVLOVA 5/5
The combination of the fruits' flavors and sweetness are well balanced. Thumbs up!
CLASSIC MARGARITA
Cazadores, cointreau, lime & salt! Gave me a kick for 1 round!
I highly recommend this restaurant!
Persphone is a pleasant discovery. I love the industrial-cozy ambience of the place.
Tried their Clam chowder along with other dishes, it’s delicious, creamy and not overpowering.
Excellent food presentation and good service. :)
A good place to go for meeting friends , celebrating birthdays and other occasions.
Love the place . Very colorful and cozy. Love also the food. My favorite is sea food pasta. You will dream fot it.
Perfect date place for couples and perfect shoot place for instagram junkies! Plus the food is yummy! The only thing I would like to suggest is to add menu choices
This colorful and cozy restaurant will send you into a food coma with its diverse array of menu options. Being a seasonal kitchen, Persephone is constantly curating new and innovative dishes that will keep you on your toes.
The Tapsilog Rice Bowl is definitely something different to try. This dish is brimming with flavorful ingredients and tossed with sirloin steak, vegetables, tempura, and poached egg.
Their Red Burger is a unique dish in itself. A juicy fried chicken patty is drenched in barbecue sauce, topped with red cabbage slaw, and wedged in between two whole wheat slices of bread.
We ended our meal with the Fruit Pavlova. I have no doubt that you will immediately fall in love with this sweet and refreshing delicacy.
I loved their overall theme, which ran coherently from wall to plate.
The food was great, too! I loved eating the chicken skin on my friend’s rice bowl, specially after having such a healthy meal.
The colorful flower inspired mural wall and plants at the entrance is so inviting. There are also cute potted plants around. The ambiance is industrial minimalist and the concept of changing the menu every season is unique.
While waiting for our orders, I got curious and googled about "Persephone", she was the goddess queen of the underworld & spring. This explains why the interior of the restaurant is like this.
They offer organic, healthy, and beautifully plated IG-worthy food.😍 I love how they put their own twist on a lot of the usual dishes in restaurant. Food is arranged in a very unique way. The Miso Glazed Salmon captured my heart. It is made with edamame, pickled red radish, dill butter, fried salmon skin, & baby carrot and the whisky sour is so refershing. The leche flan tower is not included in the menu, but it was yummy and the presentation is nice. The serving of their seafood pasta is good for 2. I would also recommend their apple tempura, it is perfectly fried (must try👍👍👍)
The staffs are so attentive and would offer to take pictures.
Overall, I enjoyed my meals at Persephone. Highly recommended for catching up with friends or date with someone. We will definitely come back to try other dishes.
Excellent resto with good ambiance, Asian fusion cuisine and good service. Dishes are IG worthy and colorfully put together.
We started off with Lime Soda and a colorful Aviation gin based cocktail. Our appetizers - sweet potato chips and Okoy Corn fritters- were tasty.
Our main - Kare-Kareng Manok - was colorful, tasty and filling. Easily fills two with a bowl of rice. Imaginative dish with grilled chicken, edamame, grilled eggplant, pink radish in a curried peanut sauce.
Buko Pandan ice cream dessert was also well executed.
I walked in around 3pm, one weekday afternoon. The place didn't have guests, just me. I was ravenous as I had not had lunch at that time and both my eyes were turning white.
The staff approached me, and I asked what tastes great here. She suggested the pasta, and while perusing their menu, I couldn't take my eyes off at the Laksa Pasta. I thought, that would be interesting, and so I ordered.
The staff gave me a bottle of water and a glass. That was fine with me as I needed my thirst quenched every now and then. About 10 minutes after my meal arrived.
It's the first time I saw flower petals on my food, and sorry, even if it seems palpable, but I really had to ask whether it's edible and of course it was. My food was so pretty, the petals gave it color.
I twirled my pasta and sliced some chicken. It had a good balance of sweetness and saltiness. However, it was definitely hard to finish as it was way too much for one person. I didn't want to waste nor carry a doggy bag afterwards, so I finished it. The pasta was quite flavorful, finishing it was a task though as you will get tired eventually of its savory taste. It's better if you have someone to share this with.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The place had an interesting vibe. As they say, this seems to be a spot perfect for the titas of Manila. Yeowch. Sigh. But yes, the flowers painted on the wall looks nice and tita-ish.
It was a good experience. I'm intrigued with the champorado suman though but I have to make another visit for that.
What a beautiful restaurant? This is the first statement that pop up in my mind when I saw Persephone. Persephone is a posh restaurant serving healthy food. And we had the following:
🌺Corn Okoy Tapas
🌺Olive Tapenade Tapas
🌺Asparagus Mint Toast
🌺Strawberry French Toast
🌺Fruit Pancake
🌺Fishball
🌺Red Burger
🌺Tapsilog
🌺Bagnetsilog
🌺Salmon with Veggie Rice
🌺Chicken Pesto with Cauliflower Rice
🌺Spanish Toast
Surprisingly even their food were beautifully presented to us, very colorful.
My favorites were the Samon with Veggie Rice and the Fishball. Both dishes were tasty. Definitely I will be back again for those dishes. The only issue... I think they need to do something with their pancake. It’s not fluffy.

Review as of January 2018
One of the coziest nooks this side of Makati. Persephone took over the old space of Come Forth Kitchen--you might miss this restaurant because they still don't have their signage up yet.
They serve incredibly interesting yet bizarre dessert twists (Champorado Tuyo Suman anyone?) and their servings are quite generous--though, I'm not very sure how they deliver their seasonal kitchen angle
Must tries:
- Bangsilog
- Champorado Tuyo Suman (disclamer: tastes a bit odd but just try it!)
Tips:
- Split a dish in two! The dishes are a lot and can feed more than one person especially if you're looking to order an appetizer or dessert!
Dishes tried: Fishball, Sweet Potato Chips, Bangsilog, Kare-kareng Manok, Champorado Tuyo Suman, Kabog Suman
From the moment I saw Persephone being featured in TV, I became so interested to try what they offer to the market. 🤔
“As Persephone is the Greek Goddess of Spring and the Queen of the Underworld, myth says that she is the reason for the shifting seasons.” Based from this back story, the restaurant was therefore introduced as a “Seasonal Kitchen” wherein their menu changes based from the season.
As I searched today what to grab for lunch, I decided to go to Persephone. FINALLY! 😂 While entering the restaurant, the ambiance was cozy and music playlist soothed my vibes. I was greeted by Ms. Patty and introduced me the menu. I asked her their best sellers and suggested to have their Bagnetsilog. 😊
Their Bagnetsilog was presented like the Korean Bibimbap. The dish was served with pork belly, kimchi puree, pickled red radish, shredded red cabbage, drispy shimeji tempura, shredded leeks and poached egg on top of a bed of miso butter rice. The plating of the dish was a piece of art; so delicate to touch nor eat. 😂
But you can’t enjoy this sumptuous dish just by merely staring at it or taking IG worthy shots... You have to destroy this plating masterpiece by mixing all the components and indulge into this refreshing yet light flavored dish. The light flavor of their kimchi puree mixed the yolk of poached egg made the dish well-balanced with the crispy shimeji tempura and chunks of the bagnet.
I super enjoyed this meal! ❤️ This Filipino-Japanese-Korean fusion dish took my palate to a new level of flavor diversity. ❤️ Looking forward to try other best-sellers from Persephone. ❤️😍
Persephone: A Seasonal Kitchen, has got to be one of the few restaurants in the metro that serve the prettiest dishes ever! Their name was derived from the Greek goddess Persephone — goddess of the underworld, springtime, flowers and vegetation. Which mainly explains the homey and nature theme of the restaurant.
The place is spacious with ample seating, the walls are covered with flower murals and lots of cute potted plants around. It’s the perfect place for “ladies who brunch” and “titas of Manila”.
They’re still on soft opening but we got to sample some of the items on their menu —
🌸 Homemade Fishballs
It’s a far cry from the fishballs that we’re used to. Their version is made of creamy dory, squid, shrimp and mixed herbs. It was really tasty and was quite addicting.
🌸 Olive Tapenade
Olive, capers and breaded shrimp on top of a thinly sliced bread. This is part of their tapas menu which is only available 6PM onwards. I enjoyed this one immensely and it was a hit with my fellow foodies as well. The only suggestion I have is the bread should be toasted to prevent it from being soggy afterwards.
🌸 Fruit Pancake
This one is seriously IG-worthy. 2 pieces of pancakes topped with slices of strawberries, dragonfruit, grapes, edible flower petals and mint leaves. I almost didn’t wanna eat it. Almost! It was that pretty! ♥️ The pancake was a bit flat though, I prefer mine to be on the thick and fluffy side. But it was explained to us that it was indeed meant to be flat to perfectly go with the fruits.
🌸 Asparagus Mint Toast
I surprisingly enjoyed this despite not being a fan of asparagus. As per their usual, it was plated beautifully and tasted amazing as well. It’s just a small dish and would be perfect for someone who doesn’t want to eat heavy.
🌸 Bagnetsilog
Our favorite Filipino classic but served bibimbap style. Consists of thick slices of bagnet, kimchi puree, red cabbage, pickled red radish, shimeji tempura, leeks, poached egg and miso butter rice. Mix it altogether and dig in! The serving size for this one is huge! Good for sharing. The bagnet has the perfect proportion of fat and meat, I loved it!
🌸 Salmon with Veggie Rice
My personal favorite! I love salmon so this one is a no-brainer. But what really did it for me was the veggie rice made with chopped carrots, cauliflower and broccoli. Simple, healthy and delicious. This is for people who love rice minus the carbs. 🥦🥕
🌸 Chicken Pesto with Cauliflower Rice
Another healthy option for the health-nut! I appreciate how Persephone understands that Filipinos love rice and they’re offering a healthier alternative. Chicken meat was tender with a nice amount of skin. The pesto was on the lighter side.
🌸 Spanish Toast
Infused with orange brandy giving it that tangy and bittery taste. Quite a nice surprise. This dish can be your breakfast or dessert. It’s good but I agree with my fellow foodies that a little whipped cream would give it more boost.
Overall, Persephone has amazingly healthy and good food plus it’s beautifully plated, perfect for the ‘gram! 😂 I love the total vibe of the place too, I know where to bring my girlfriends for our next brunch date. Ciao!

Persephone is one of the newest restaurants in Makati located on the stretch of Jupiter Street. The restaurant’s facade is so inviting because of the colorful flower-inspired wall and green plants at the entrance. Persephone is not a typical name for a restaurant so I got curious on its meaning. I read in the www that Persephone is actually a goddess of a Greek Mythology. Her role was to work with nature ensuring good growth for flowers and plants. I therefore conclude that this is the reason behind the restaurant’s interiors.
I'm not a fan of mythology I'm more on history. As I've learned Persephone is the goddess of vegetation and wife of Hades.
Back to the restaurant, they are still in the soft opening state. So many adjustments and tweaking are being done to provide their guests a better experience.
The interiors in a artsy ,modern and have a mural of bright hued flowers.Very feminine indeed.
While waiting for the other guests to arrive we were given the Corn Okoy to have something to munch on.
I will just run down on my favorites, and also on the items that needed a bit of modification.
Favorites:
Bagnetsilog-serve ala Bibimbap, nice crispy skin ,tender meat the variety of veggies that comes with it makes the dish exciting and healthy a complete dish. And it can be shared by two individuals.
Corn okoy- Japanese corn kernels made into this classic pinoy street snack. The sweetness of the corn drenched into this deep fried crunchy batter will wake up any palate.
Fish balls- love the non fishcake like texture let's leave that into Oriental and asian dishes. The chunks of fish that disintegrates upon sinking your teeth in made it likable. And the aftertaste of the dory which I despise was non existent.
Red Burger- crispy breaded chicken in Korean gochujang paste, love the tanginess of the red slaw, very inviting love to eat more of this.
Poached egg over asparagus- simple yet very very good ,creative idea on adding the mint ,great spin because the asparagus and poached eggs are one of the best food pairing ever.
Needs improvement:
Tapsilog- same as the bagnet in presentation ,tho this one misses in the area of meat tenderness and flavor pairing, the flavor of the meat does not match the Korean condiment that comes with it.The flavor of the meat is a bit on the sweet size and I think it should have been sliced thinly so that it will be easier to chew.
Olive tapenade this dish should have been very good if only they made the bread into crostini and not served as it is.Nice breaded shrimp with bits of olives on top that when you bite into it flavors of olives explodes .Sayang.
Spanish toast- not really impressed with this one it was a bit ordinary ,bread drenched into orange brandy. The appearance on the outside maybe good but when dug upon the texture is like water soaked. The incorporation of the orange does not hit the mark.
Overall ,as it is in its soft opening ,its still understandable .Love the visual presentation of their dishes, the orchid petals of the garnish is very appealing, maybe because they want to live up to the name Persephone.A place for the sophisticated female crowd.
This is the perfect place for ladies who lunch. The ambiance is both industrial and frilly maybe because of the huge floral mural on one whole wall. I liked it a lot. The vibrant colors reminded me of spring and served to brighten up an otherwise drab-looking place.
The restauranr is currently in soft opening so there is still no sign of its existence from its facade. It is situated in Anytime Fitness building beside 7-11.
Why Persephone? Well Persephone is both the goddess of spring and the underworld. Hmm kind of split personality if you ask me but it apparently echoes the theme of the restaurant — dynamic and seasonal.
Menu can change from time to time thus the “seasonal kitchen” tag.
Here are the items served to us last Wednesday
Tapas for 6 pm onwards
CORN OKOY P120 Japanese sweet corn, sriracha
Easily a favorite! There is a bit of a crunch then the softness of the corn comes into play. Dipped in aioli it becomes addicting
OLIVE TAPENADE P235 black olives, capers, deep fried shrimp, aioli, tobiko, baguette
The combination of olives and capers with the crunch from the deep fried shrimp was beautiful! This was a memorable dish for me. I wish they would toast the baguette though. It became soggy soon after it was served
Brunch menu up to 5 pm only
ASPARAGUS MINT TOAST (price TBA -to be advised)
The toasted baguette provided the crunch while the poached egg brought in the creaminess. The asparagus’ nutty component brought all the flavors together. A simple dish with loads of flavor. Another favorite of pigoutsundays ❤️
STRAWBERRY FRENCH TOAST ( price TBA)
Seems like all dishes are my favorite including this one. What’s not to like? The French bread was chewy and all kinds of delightful. The whip cream elevated the dish to another level. nomnomnom
FRUIT PANCAKE (price tba)
Alas this was one major disappointment. Pancake was thin , dry and forlorn.... mediocre compared to the previous dishes served. The presentation was beautiful though - spring on your plate! But it failed to deliver. Sad 😩
FISHBALL P185 cream dory, squid, shrimp, mixed herb all mashed together and dipped in sweet sour sauce.
It was home made and it was scrumptious😋😋😋
RED BURGER P285 Gochujang ( Korean red paste) fried chicken, pickled onions, red cabbage slaw, mixed greens
Another winner. Loved the Koream take on this fried chicken burger. Patty was moist and crunchy at the same time. Brioche was fluffy and freshly baked. The sweet potato chips were a nice touch
TAPSILOG P325 sirloin steak, shimeji tempura, kimchi, red cabbage, pickled onion, poached egg, confit rice
Another Korean take on a pinoy classic breakfast. It would have been a winner in my book too had the sirloin strips been tender. Perhaps make the slices thinner? As it was the sirloin was so tough it marred my experience of the dish. Sayang.
BAGNETSILOG P310 porkbelly, kimchi puree, shimeji tempura, poached egg, miso butter rice
Winner! Bagnet was crunchy and flavorful. Its crisp skin and melt-in-your-mouth-fat will be the death of me. So goooood! A touch of Korean once more with what appeared to be korean red paste
SALMON WITH VEGGIE RICE ( price tba)
Yay guilt assuaged! You can eat all the rice you want because it is veggie rice ( broccoli-cauliflower-carrots minced to resemble rice). Do not forget to squeeze some lime on the whole dish to enhance its flavor. Loved it!
CHICKEN PESTO ( price tba)
Chicken was tender. I already feel healthy looking at this green dish
Dessert
SPANISH TOAST P205 sourdough, orange brandy syrup, walnuts
This dessert needs a little more tweaking. It became too wet and mushy for me. Perhaps a small decanter of brandy orange on the side so client can control her/his preferred amount of syrup.
Summary :
All in all a delightful foodgasmic experience! There were more hits than misses. Price vis a vis portion was fair..Looking forward to returning with the girlfriends when the dust has settled and Persephone is in regular operation
Thank you for having us Persephone and for the invite Zomato ❤️

The menu and the presentation of the food is quite unique. The resto is great with a very warm and pleasant place to dine. I will definitely recommend to try it out. Cheers!
Everything we tried was SO good and unique. Literally have nothing bad to say because there was nothing I didn’t like. My favourite was the inadobong atay and the chicken wrap. They’ve added new items to the menu since, and I can’t wait to try em!!
The restaurant does not have a signage outside. We were very curious as to what they offer so we went in on a Friday night. The place is relatively not that packed, but one group of diners was just too noisy and it honestly affected our dining experience. Nevertheless, we only have positive comments about the food and their service.
The food was a nice break from all the usual options in Makati. You can tell the kitchen knows how to experiment with food; even the ingredients they use make the food feel special. Worth every peso, 10/10 would visit again!
Great place! Awesome food, drinks and service. Really IG-worthy HAHA Went here with a couple of friends and the look of the restaurant really pleasantly surprised us. Would recommend!
