This hidden gem in makati has been a favorite of mine whenever I have friends over. The place has a cool vibe to it and their mapo wanton appetizer is the bomb. Was also pleasantly surprised by their misua. Sad to see some old menu items scratched off though.
The best thing about Sup Chow is the ambiance and the good service. The staff definitely attended to us well and the experience was such a breeze. Good food as always, putok batok!

Must order: Truffle Braised Beef and Masachi with White Chocolate. (#CertifiedYesPAPAdishes)
Wow. Beyond expectations. Each dish was really good. Huge servings. 1 rice toppings meal is good for 2. Wanton sisig is really good. Will be back! Really good deal
Rice Meals, around 300 each but really it's a lot. like wow! The food taste good, very tasty and really generous serving. Would be back to try other foods and milk teas
The food was really good! We’ve been here 2x already and it hasn’t disappointed us!
With the Zomato Gold, we ordered the Beef with Truffle Mushrooms and Korean bbq with kimchi rice bowl. It was really good!
It is a must try!!
Another Zomato Gold 1+1 Food discovery.
The place is a little tricky to find but worth the effort. Service was really good, too.
Bang! Bang! Noodles w Beef Rendang & Homemade Rice Noodles - the best dish from our order. It was very rich, it had a good heat, and very balanced. The spiciness and the richness of the sauce perfectly complemented the starchy noodles.
Kuchay w Pork Dumplings - so-so, the wrapper was a bit thick.
White Sangria - sweet, smelled good and because of the lychee, it had a light and refreshing taste.
Stir-Fried Cauliflower w Pork Belly - the perfect side dish. The chili managed to make this dish light and fresh. Mix well to coat the cauliflower with the rich and flavourful sautee sauce. The crunchiness of the cauliflower makes this a fun dish to eat. It only had a few pork there but for me it was the perfect amount.
Char Siu Grilled Chicken - the chicken was very tender, and the flavour on the skin was outstanding. It came w a serving of peanut sauce that took it to another level.
Masachi w White Chocolate - this dessert was hubby's heaven here on earth. It's creamy and milky, it has a powderly texture on the outside that lends a little crunch. It's a chewy goodness. Tasting this hubby declared "This dessert peered into my soul and said 'I know exactly what you want'".
Ordered mapo tofu, beef rendang, truffle braised beef and sup chow fried rice. Everything was sooooo yummy! Will definitely go back to try other dishes! Love the ambiance too. 😊❤️

Tantan Misua, Mapo Tofu, and dont forget the mochi! Mochi was made from scratch, it was warm and fresh :) I hope they can make a variety other than the white chocolate :)
Place was very well designed. Had good music. Staff was attentive and friendly. Food was really good and inexpensive. Really great value for money. I'm surprised the place wasnt crowded but I think it's also because the signage isn't very appealing on the outside and it's quite hard to find.
Loved what we ordered. We didnt finish the food only because the servings were bigger than expected. Got the mapo tofu wontons, been rendang curry (spicy), duck fried rice and siomai. Out of all four, maybe the siomai is the most regular tasting but great presentation and quality, still.
Will definitely go back! 👍
Good find in Salcedo village. Food was nice but not relatively cheap.
Serving time was fast even though its lunch time.
Good for meetings because the place is chill and spacious .
Place was good, service was even better and the food was the BEST. I loved the korean beef stew and mapo tofu. Will defintely go back. The price is ok. The place has also nice interior.
Awesome food, great pleace, a bit hard to reacg but I guess it’s worth the effort? Its good food amongst ordinary food in Makati. The kimchi fried rice was just normal, the tacos (sisig?) were awesome, the braised beef was amazing, the fried chicken was a bit too salty but still good.
Star of the table for me was their white wine sangria, absolutely addicting.
Definitely coming back to try more.
I rarely go for Chinese food when I eat out (because that's what I usually have at home) but I make an exception if there's something intruiging, like these dishes from Sup?Chow: scallion pancakes with miso butter fried chicken, mapo tofu wontons, tan tan misua, and truffle braised beef with stewed rice and shimeji mushrooms. And there's a lot more interesting dishes to try next time.
We'll definitely come back! Super laki ng place, their Cr is big also. Bagong bago pa at super ganda ng ambiance. The food is a bit pricey but nabigyan naman nila ng justice. Our favorite part is yung drinks nila, super sarap para sa price. The best!
Ate here with friends last Monday night. We ordered a variety of dumplings (xiao long bao, wontons, etc), Tan Tan misua, Vietnamese beef stew, wings, Kimchi rice and sesame rice, spareribs, and basically everything we could get our hands on. I was pleasantly surprised at all the flavors of each dish. And considering the price, it was definitely a win-win. I’ll definitely be back to try their cocktails, but their food is enough to warrant a second (and third!) visit from me.
The name is kitschy so I wasn’t expecting much but dining here was a pleasant surprise. The resto’s exactly where the old Ponti used to be so walking up the staircase gave me some nostalgic feels. LOL. Fell in love with their miso butter fried chicken and white chocolate masachi! Price points are very affordable so I can imagine office workers eating here for lunch. Loved the fact that they were playing songs from the 90s during our dinner too. Servers were friendly and attentive. I’ll be inviting my friends to hangout here for sure.
This place is certainly one of Makati's hidden gems as it is relatively new and hasn't been getting a lot of noise yet, which is why I'm glad that I happened upon it before it really started to pick up.
The first time I went to Sup? Chow was for a friend's despedida dinner. He chose the place because it was very close to our office and he said that it was "really nice". I didn't realize how much of an understatement that was until I saw it for myself. and I've kept coming back ever since. Let me explain why:
The first thing you really notice when you enter through the large double doors is the staff. They're very pleasant and accommodating, and for me, that's a huge part of the dining experience, so nothing to complain about in that department. The next thing that will demand your attention is the ambience. It has a very roomy feel, mostly attributed to the mirrors on the walls and the warm lights given off by the pretty-looking lamps on the walls and ceilings. Coupled with the great chill tracks playing in the background (whoever's in charge of that really knows what he's doing), the whole place gives off a laid-back, but very sophisticated vibe that's very relaxing and comfortable.
Now, let's talk about food. First off: appetizers. A this point, I've only had the Mapo Tofu Wontons, Dumplings, and Shrimp Wontons, and I've got to say, they haven't failed to please thus far. Light and tasty as all good appetizers should be, with interesting contrasts in temperature and texture that are sure to whet your appetite.
On to the entrées. I always make sure to order at least one rice bowl whenever I'm there. So far, I've had the Korean Beef Stew, Braised Pork Belly, and Truffle Braised Beef, and I've got to say, I've loved them all. They're mostly a combination of rich, savory meat that paired well with the acidity of their sauces, brought together nicely by the rice underneath them. The Braised Pork Belly is my personal favorite.
Next up, we have desserts. Sup? Chow doesn't have a very comprehensive selection of them, but it needs to be said that they little they have on the menu are to die for; the mochi balls, in particular. They're not too sweet, and they have this really nice, chewy texture that gives way to the rich, gooey filling that coats your mouth when it bursts in your mouth. They're served warm, so it's a nice contrast to the cold drinks that they have available. Unlike the desserts, Sup? Chow has an extensive selection of refreshments to choose from, the most notable of which are their cocktails. They look pretty and taste fantastic, and are a great way to cap off your meal and wash everything down.
Overall, Sup? Chow is a really good spot for anyone looking for good food in a good atmosphere. The price point is also really fair in my opinion, so it shouldn't really cost you that much to sit down and have a good time; you're really getting your money's worth here. It's not exactly groundbreaking or out-of-this-world, and I know a lot of restaurants that have a similar general theme, but it hits all the right notes. For me, it hits them well enough to deserve a 5-star review. I highly recommend this place to anyone working, studying, or living in the area.
Sup? Chow is an underrated, hidden gem. It serves different types of asian food accompanied by a great playlist.
To start with, we ordered the dumplings and shrimp wontons (which I weren’t able to taste). The dumplings were sour, plated in an ample serving of its soup. My main course was the Korean Beef Stew. Don’t order this if you don’t like mushrooms or kimchi rice. It wasn’t dry. Beef was tender. Props for good food and value for money.
What’s impeessive here are the mochi balls. Try the white chocolate ones. If you don’t like that, there are five other flavors to choose from!

I've been meaning to visit "Sup? Chow", the brainchild of Chef Francis Lim for quite some time now, but scheduling a visit was always a challenge. One fateful night, the stars aligned and I was able to visit the Modern Asian Cuisine Restaurant for an epic meal that I'll never forget!. Sup? Chow Modern Asian Cuisine
Came for the food, stayed for the ambience and service. I love Sup Chow!
I managed to try this when I was in the Spectrum Fair in Rockwell. This place did not disappoint at all. We ordered the Char Siu pork and the Truffled beef.
The char siu pork was superb! It had really great flavors and the sauce was great. I love how they put sesame seeds in their rice too. 😍😍
The truffled beef was also great. It had a nice truffle taste (and I love truffle) and the meat was pretty juicy. I really enjoyed what we ordered here. 🤗

Finally, decent laksa in my hood! It's not your conventional rich laksa but the sour component lessens the umay factor that I usually encounter with the traditional one.
Mango sago is not what I expected, quite different from the usual dessert in most Chinese restaurants. Theirs is in drink form and it's very refreshing.
Pricing is very friendly to the pocket. The drink is less than P100 if I'm not mistaken.
Service is also commendable though I have to admit that I was there during non peak hours.
The place isn't that visible from outside unless you're the type to look around while traversing Valero.
Sup? Chow is an Asian - American fusion restaurant. The name itself comes from the american phrase “What’s up?” And Chow is asian. Their food uses local ingredients and they present it in the different way. Chef Francis Lim menu is well thought out and has many different inspirations for his dishes.
Our favorites were the mapo tofu wontons and the vietnamese beef stew.
Both dishes are packed in with strong flavors with the vietnamese beef stew being a perfect pairing with rice.
I wasn’t expecting anything when I entered the restaurant. I was confused with what theme they are going at, but in a good way. Food was so-so I guess. Out of 4 orders, I enjoyed 2, beef rendang and pepper chicken, and did not like the other 2 that much.
Hi Watszup Buddy! Level up your taste as Sup? Chow brings unique Asian Comfort Food in the bustling street of Salcedo Village, Makati City.

We love this new Asian place near our office. The serving is generous and food is flavorful. Impeccable Instagrammable interiors. We hope more people would come and visit this place so they can try the sumptuous dishes.
I personally enjoy the Mapo Tofu wantons and Tan Tan Misua. It’s my 2nd time dining here and I still ordered the same thing.
Hope they expand their cocktails menu soon.
Sup? Chow is a trendy resto that has a lot of potential. It has very reasonably priced and well thought out dishes that are basic in taste but extraordinary in concept.
The dishes plays with Asian flavors, mostly Chinese, and then bends them to both surprise and amuse your taste buds.
Go for.....
Mapo Tofu Wontons - must-try appetizer!
Garlic Misua - addicting Misua noodle dish. Rich pork broth and garlic confit goes well with Misua.
Tan Tan Misua - flavors like Tan Tan ramen. Spicy and sesame flavors!
Truffle Braised Beef - this is my favorite!
Vietnamese Beef Stew - reminds me of kaldereta with more Southeast Asian flavors.
A Western take on Asian dishes. This is what Chef Francis Lim promises as he levels up our local ingredients and makes it not only sophisticated in taste but also in appearance. This new restaurant located in Antel Building in Makati might be a little hard to see but I tell you that you should find your way to it on its second floor. This will open up a door to Asian dishes with extraordinary twists. Ambiance itself is a mixture of Western and Asian vibe already, from wooden tables to steel chairs. Pendant lights that burst warmth to the entire place.
Sup? Chow is the newest restaurant in Salcedo Makati. The restaurant offers unique Asian comfort food infused with Western flavors. The man behind this concept is Mr. Francis Lim of Navs and Tipple and Slaw.
The restaurant focuses on Asian noodles and other Asian favorites. During our visit, we were able to try the following:
🍜Truffle Braised Beef
🍜Char Siu Grilled Chicken
🍜Mapo Tofu Wantons
🍜Vietnamese Beef Stew
🍜Tan Tan Misua
🍜Chow Suey
🍜Beef Rendang Bang Bang Noodles
🍜Coco Pandan
You should try their Tan Tan Misua, it has a rich flavor that will boost your appetite. The truffle braised is another thing, I like the essence of the truffle in the dish.
Overall, it was a good dinner. The service went well. For improvement, maybe a better signage to locate the restaurant.
#ilovetoeatph 😃❤️
Francis Lim, the chef behind Nav and Tipple & Slaw's excellent food creations, is now back with this modern Asian resto with Chinese and South East Asian influences.
Loved everything we had here. The refreshing drinks, iced milk tea and a hibiscus tea & pomelo combination, were really good!
Char Siu Wings is one of the tastiest chicken wings we've had. Beef Rendang Bang Bang Noodles, is an amazing fusion of beef rendang paired with thick, handmade Biang Biang noodles from Shaanxi. Vietnamese Beef Stew on rice is another good dish. Good taste combo of beef stew and veggies on white rice

Sup? Chow shares the idea of giving a Western take on Asian cuisines. Normally, when we hear or see an Asian restaurant/cuisine, we feel bored, we tend to lower our expectations; however, Sup? Chow changed this kind of thinking and gives a fresher and newer take on these kinds of cuisines. They started this last year (2017) and opened their very first branch in Unit 203, 2/F Antel Corporate Center, 121 Valero Street, Salcedo Village, Makati City last June 2018.
This restaurant-bar gives a calming mood once you enter. It is spacious. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing at the same time. It is dim inside. I'd like to hang out here again soon and let the time pass by. They play tropical house genre of music just like Kygo's works. The restroom is clean, pleasant, and spacious compared to the normal ones.
Among the dishes that we tried during this meetup, here are my favorites:
Mapo Tofu Wontons (P250.00) is a great start for this meetup. It has a strong meaty taste with a hint of spiciness which I like.
Garlic Misua (P250.00) - as a Pinoy who loves garlic in every dish, this one is a hit! I like how it is easy to chew, it makes you taste the flavors easily.
Tan Tan Misua (P250.00) - as I said before, I like it how they use the misua as a noodle because it's easy to chew it. It is not too spicy. This one uses a peanut sesame paste, mixed with minced pork, shrimps, and etc. I like it.
Their rice bowls do not disappoint either. Truffle Braised Beef (P280.00) - Appetizing to see, something that you'll surely want to taste at a first glance. The mushroom-braised brisket is savory, the sweet sauce is tasty making the rice more flavorful.
Braised Pork Belly (P250.00) - big in serving. It was tender and the taste is okay. I like it.
Frozen Thai Milk Tea (P120.00) - a milk tea that's not too strong/bitter. I like it as it's a bit sweet and milky. The ice can lessen the sweetness though in our case, it didn't melt fast and I was still able to enjoy it.
Actually, almost all of their drinks are refreshing just by looking at it, very tropical.
I must also note this rice bowl:
Chow Suey Rice Bowl (P250.00) - Sup? Chow's version of Chop Suey. It was overflowing with vegetables and flavors. It was appetizing to see as well.
and the Birthday Misua Spring Rolls - the plating is good and Instagram-worthy. Flower petals were used on the plate, giving a vibrant red color like a painting.
The quality is there. Price is affordable. The taste will not disappoint you there. It's almost perfect. The only room for improvement that I've observed so far is the place's location. At first, I thought they are located insides (or beside) the tea house store on the ground floor where one can see the name Sup? Chow on its signage.
Thank you for having us Sup? Chow and ZomatoPH.

Don't let the semantics fool you, despite it's very casual name, Sup? Chow serves some serious East meets West fusion cuisine. When you get your order here, you don't just get your fill of nourishment, you don't just achieve satiation, you get works of art served to you in intentionally crooked bowls (I indulge you to just look at the photos). Its sleek interior was deliberately designed to look like an upscale hipster bar for Millennials and Gen X'ers (Sup?Chow is actually located where Il Ponticello was, and I heard they will be serving cocktails and alcohol soon). What makes Sup?Chow unique is that its mantra is capitalizing and bringing out the very best from underappreciated elements of Asian dining with its distinct take on Asian Culinary Classics. A sports movie buff might coin it as the "Cinderella Man" of Asian dining in Manila (its a good movie if you avoid falling asleep watching it).
The best example of Sup?Chow's commitment to the under appreciated ingredient would be Chef Francis Lim (the man behind Nav Modern Thai) transformation of the underdog of Asian Noodles, Miswa and elevating it to the level of the ever so popular Ramen. His intuitively creative dishe the Tan Tan Miswa is a fine example, a lighter and yet surprisingly tastier and more flavorful version of Tan Tan Men. The light texture of the noodles actually makes the noodle broth less overwhelming and more enjoyable. Change the broth, add a little fermented garlic confit, shallots and leeks and you get to enjoy one of their best sellers the Garlic Miswa. The power, harmony and simplicity of the broth as it integrates with the garlic, leek oil, shallots and Miswa will make you sing lyrics of "How Did You Know, I needed someone (in this case something) in my Life" in your head with each spoonful of delight.
For folks looking for something heavier, they also serve rice bowls. Like their starch based cousins (the noodles), the rice bowls here are as sophisticated and are as exceptionally well prepared. My favorites are the Truffle Braised beef (if you thought braised beef isn't sinful enough), Vietnamese Beef Stew and the Char Siu BBQ chicken. The truffle braised beef and the Vietnamese Beef stews are both a no-brainers, there are a few things in life that are constant: Death, Taxes and that the best dishes are in the Do not eat list of your Cardiologist (the third is of course where both dishes fall under). The Char Siu is smoked soy sweet goodness trapped in your bowl for your personal pleasurw, comfort food doesn't get any better than this.
The surprises doesn't stop there, all of the fancy sounding meals I described only takes 10 minutes to prepare and it costs just around the neighborhood of Php 250.00. The combination of affordability, quality and accessibility would easily make Sup?Chow for me, one of the Pound for Pound best restaurants in Makati if not the Metro.
A hidden jewel of a restaurant right smack in the middle of bustling Makati, Sup? Chow elevates homemade dishes to greater heights.
Born from Chef Francis Lim's inspiration of eating out but still enjoying comfort food cooked by his family, Sup? Chow promises a Western take on Asian flavors.
Chef Francis isn't a stranger when it comes to Asian flavors. From Nav Modern Thai to Tipple & Slaw, he is famous for his ubiquitous dishes with layers upon layers of Asian heritage and culture embedded in them.
I appreciate the subtle use of condiments, spices and even flowers as edible garnish to his creations. Bell pepper threads, flowerettes, leeks, soybean paste and other microgreens adorn each dish and make them seem like artwork on your plate.
One of my favorites among the dishes they have presented was the Mapo Tofu Wontons (P250). They're like cute Chinese tacos! The crispy fried wanton skin serves as the perfect foil to the soft tofu and spicy Szechuan ground pork, with red bellpepper threads on top.
Sup? Chow also prides itself with their noodle dishes. Chef Francis gives the humble misua a modest upgrade. And frankly, why haven't anyone ever thought of that? Using misua and infusing it with depth and treating it like any other noodle type, and yes, giving it a ramen-like appeal. Lo and behold, the Tan Tan Misua for just P250! Yes! Misua and not ramen! What's up with that?
The noodles here have more heft, and are flavored with a special peanut sesame sauce, peppered with morsels of shrimp and minced pork. This noodle dish doesn't disappoint at all and would even make you come back for seconds!
There's also a simpler Garlic Misua (P250) made of rich pork broth and garlic confit or binurong bawang. The garlic lent a very tasty texture with the leeek oil and fried shallots as garnish.
They also have filling rice toppings that are perfect for the lunch crowd. The Truffle Braised Beef (P280) has tender chunks of slow-cooked beef brisket on top of hot stew rice topped with hearty enoki mushrooms and broccoli leaves laced with truffle essence... I wouldn't mind having this for lunch everyday!
Another rice topping offering is the Char Siu BBQ Chicken (P220). Thinly sliced Char siu grilled chicken, with sweet soy and bok choy on top of sesame rice.
Also try the Vietnamese Beef Stew (P280), which vaguely reminded me of caldereta. It has the same fork-tender brisket, made more appetizing with tomato and braised lemons. I can taste a bit of lemongrass which give the dish a nice balance of flavor.
For the healthy eaters out there, I highly suggest trying the Chow Suey Rice Bowl (P250), their own take on the simple chop suey. I hardly eat chop suey but this made me want to eat the whole bowl. Cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and other root vegetables make for a great combination!
As a treat, Chef Francis presented us with a very pretty plate of Birthday Misua spring rolls. I think this is an off-the-menu item, and each serving looks like it came straight from a Monet painting! Colorful sauces garnished the plate, together with flower petals and other herbs. The spring rolls brought out the freshness of the vegetables densely packed into those tiny tubes of goodness. Truly a most unique way to eat your birthday noodles!
They also have a veritable lineup of drinks and fruit shakes, all colorful and so tropical! My favorite would be the Mango Sago, with fresh mangoes and mango boba that bursts with full flavors in your mouth! The Coco Pandan and the Lychee Coconut were also very refreshing and delightful.
The restaurant looks modern and sleek but still has that inviting appeal to it. Woodgrain tables paired with metal chairs, plus brick inlays and even a whole panel of mirrors serve as feature walls. It has a modern industrial minimalist feel that makes for a great hang-out place. As of today, they serve lunch up to dinner, and are open from 11am to 10pm. A few more months of waiting as they are gearing up to serving until 2am, perfect for late night munchies and cocktails.
I highly recommend this place for laid-back lunches and after-office dinners, and soon for nightcaps! Remember Il Ponticello? Yep, same spot but with a more robust ambiance, very spot on for the new "yuppies", the millennial crowd, but still appeals a lot to the older hip congregation.
Visit Sup? Chow at Unit 203, 2F Antel Corporate Center, 121 Valero St. Salcedo Village, Makati City.
Here's a tip: Head to the lobby of Antel Corporate Center and go straight to the elevators and up to the 2F. This skips the short walk up the service stairs, and brings you right to the majestic double doors of Sup? Chow.
July 23, 2018 5pm FMU - The actual place is big but you need to go through a hole in the wall (side door) to get to it. There were no signages anywhere that will help you locate it but the effort can be worth it. The place is still on 'soft opening'. Some of the food we were served were not yet on their current menu.
Quantity : The serving size can be good for 1 to 2 persons with intent to share.
Quality & Taste : The mapo tofu & the very colorful wrapped noodles may have contained some ingredients that I don't like (wansuy?) so they were borderline ok for me. My initial piece of beef was a bit tough (can't be cut by a spoon or fork across the grain) but the second smaller piece was better. The garlic misua was very tasty & cooked just right. The two big flat noodles variants that I was able to try were both good too, specially the more spicy one. The flavors were really infused with the noodles and were a joy to eat. The pork belly was ok too. I love the lychee coconut drink specially the pearls, refreshing!
Price & Overall : Reasonably priced & mostly very tasty plus some dishes were also very nice to look at. Overall rating is above average and recommended (if you are aware of an ingredient you do not like, ask before ordering)
