Phenomenal ribs where the meat just falls off the bone. The pulled pork and beef brisket are both good in their own right. Corn bread was the best side dish. Plus points for the Carmen's Best ice cream selection for dessert!
Place looked unassuming from the outside but after trying the food, I'm convinced that this is one of the best restaurants in BF! I wasn't disappointed with anything I ordered. The Mac and Cheese was good and went surprisingly well with the meats. The soft ribs and flavorful brisket are arguably the best I've had in a long time. The service was quite fast too! Overall a great place to eat for meat lovers who want good South Barbeque.
The food was delicious. Showstoppers were the jalapeno poppers, corned beef sisig, brisket, and ribs. Must get the last two in half-sized portions for ultimate satisfaction. Definitely the best slow-cooked barbecue I've had in the Philippines. Will be back for more.
Loved the ribs. Great flavor! Would be better if just a little bit more tender, but as it is, it's already very good. Friendly staff! Biker friendly parking too.

Great food and affordable price in a modern industrial type interior. It's the perfect hangout place of my generation :)
Nice place, nice food and yes the Turntable Mondays seems a friday night vibe with Par Satellite. Music is pure niceness!
Great food! Beef brisket and sisig were great! Serving size was just right, though onion rings were a lot. Would definitely come back to try other items on the menu!
it's flippin' fantastic! don't miss the best night of your life. come to the smoking joint!
Ribs will definitely melt in your mouth! Classy ambiance and really good craft beers
sarap! was so happy to try this <3 mabilis ung servce ng food. The place was nice- the space was small though..over all ;) we enjoyed d food!
Epic food can't wait to get meat sweats again in a few weeks when I'm back in Manila. I might wear stretchy trousers this time 👍👌
masarap... and kapag nakasabay nyo may ari may libre kayong cake... thankz...
The brisket melts in your mouth, yum!!!
The caramel beer was awesome! Tasted it yesterday! The ambience was so cozy and relax. It feels like Im home. Will definitely visit this place again!
We had beers. The place was smokin. We were Mesmerized by the smoky menu items that we did not order. Hopefully next time we get to do so. More power to you
Someone asked me out and we went here for a chitchat and few drinks. Good ambiance the best place for hanging out with ya cool friends. Serving drinks at the best price! And friendly staffs! 😍
Absolutely love the meat platter! What I particularly loved were chicken and ribs. I loved their corn and pulled pork. Food was really tasty; just be ready to reek of grilled meat after eating in this restau. 🙊
Food is soo delicious 😍😋 Especially yung ribs (with their hot sauce na totoong hot) na favorite namin ng mga kaofficemate ko. 👍 Madalas kaming kumain dito and this resto never failed us 😍 Well mannered and mababait yung staffs. Kudos smoking joint! 👍👍
Great service, great food. Vegetable platter is excellent!! And pulled pork tacos were great. Mac and cheese needs something to cut the richness, and onion rings could be a little less fried, but more enjoyable than most. I'd come back!
Smoking Joint is certainly one of my all-time fave to go! ❤ Their menu is perfect for you if you are really craving for meat and meat and meat. Servings are also reasonable. Smoked rib is awesome and I also enjoyed their Mini cheese poppers! Not to mention, their staff are all friendly and accommodating.
Also lovin' their three types of sausages. Perfect for your cocktails. 😍
Food it’s simply delicious! The staff it’s very polite, accommodating and always smiling. They also seemed very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. My husband isn’t a big fan of the Mac and cheese but even he was impress by it. The prices are according with the portions without overcharging them. We’ll be back for sure!!
Great taste and service. The ribs and brisket have their own distinct smoky flavors and both literally melt in your mouth. The chicken was forgettable. Service was commendable.
The Smoking Joint is far most the most underrated resto I have ever been to. Their ribs are cooked just right, their chicken was extravagant and their best platter for me is their Beef Brisket. Their Beef Brisket is cooked and marinated to perfection served with you choice of fries or dinner rolls with sweet and spicy barbecue sauce.

Decor is simple and comfortable, a bit masculine with the brick walls and metal chairs. We immediately felt welcome with our surroundings. We stayed in the ground floor and we were happy to be the only ones there. Everyone else dined in the second floor.
We got ourselves the following:
Half Brisket 635.00
Seasoned Rice 80.00
Shot of Makers Mark 150.00
Small bottle of Barik Lambanog 350.00
Brisket was very tender and had good flavour. Didn’t have that smokey taste I expected. I find it a bit pricy for just 3 pcs. Good thing we weren’t really hungry as that half order would only be good for one person if we were. Seasoned rice had a bit of chicharon, it was good but they can do better, hoping they can come out with their own version of the Cajun dirty rice.
We found the drinks reasonably priced, especially since we enjoyed passing the time here.
Service was great.
Awesome. We took the kids (9yo & 7yo) and they both devoured the smoked burger. We've been here before with friends - have tried the brisket, ribs and smoked pork - and basically, they have a focused menu and they know what they're doing. Soooo happy that we can walk here too!
Don't let the name fool you. It is not a place where you can smoke but a place where all smoked is delicious. The smoking joint is a nice cozy place along Magallanes. We went here on their soft opening and the food tastes great. We ordered their delicious pulled pork sandwich (good for two) and the jalapeno popper (not too spicy). This is a place to go if you are craving for barbecue.
I was craving for barbecue last week when my friend invited me to try the Smoking Joint. At first I was hesitant to go, since I never heard about Smoking Joint before. I tried to research about it and I was amazed that they were full of positive feedback. As I browsed the pictures taken at their restaurant, I am more convinced that I should give them a try so I did.
The restaurant is small but the ambiance is cool and cozy. The place is full so we waited for like ten minutes to have a seat. Looking at the brighter side, maybe it’s full because they serve really good barbecues. Good thing, they will accommodate you while you wait.
So I ordered Hibiscus and Dalandan for my drinks, both at 45php each. Dalandan is good but Hibiscus is for the win! I ordered the Mac N’ Cheese. Stuffed with lavish macaroni, intact and occupying the entire can. It is loaded with overflowing cheese on top of the macaroni that makes the Mc n Cheese cheesier as ever. Next is their savory Wagyu Beef Brisket. Meat is soft and tender, you can easily chew everything. Smoked into perfection, sauce is splendid in complementing the meat. It is somehow spicy and hot. Don’t worry for those who are not fan of spicy foods like me. It is still tolerable. I will never forget their scrumptious BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich. I guess they are using pita bread (it taste and looks like pita and it is great). Smoked and shredded, this pulled pork is a winner. It is combined with crisp and appetizing coleslaw, together with luscious sauce. All in all, a full-flavored Pulled Pork is served. And the highlight of my dinner, their sinful Smoked Single Ribs. Drizzled with their supreme sauce, smoked until it reach its finest stage. Tender down to its bone, take a bite into its juicy and ozzy meat. One perfect word to describe this meal – heaven!

Excellent food but BEWARE re credit card issue. After ordering , eating and enjoying our food here comes the bill and out comes my credit card. To our surprise "Sorry po, pansenya na po, our credit card terminal is not working" . why weren't we told this before ordering ? Why does the credit card logo appear on the door?
Luckily there are ATMs across the street. Best to ask before ordering.
Ordered:
Jalapeno poppers - these were good! Had a hint of spice if I recall correctly.
Beef brisket - this was alright. I wish it could stand alone without the sauce, but I kept spreading it over the meat to add more flavor.
Pulled pork - this was my favorite main. The smoked taste and the barbecue sauce were just right!
Ribs - Compared to the beef brisket and pulled pork, this was okay. I think the serving size could be improved. You only get 2 ribs for the single order.
Macaroni and cheese - I couldn't stop eating this! The serving size was decent for a side too.
Love the ambience. It's modern and has a relaxed vibe. The playlist is good too. Will definitely return whenever I need a BBQ fix.
Visiting from US and really enjoyed smoked ribs and brisket - like back home! Friendly staff and owners said they recently opened and are ramping up their night life entertainment - after 420...PM...Highly recommended!
Finally a smoked bbq joint in the PH.
This place serves brisket like em rednecks in texas.
Also the ribs here is quite delicious.
the portion is good.
The side dishes are also tasty and I was very impressed with their take on cornbread.
Oh god knows I love cornbread.
You can’t eff up cornbread.
This place is a must try for meat lovers.
Smoked Ribs by The Smoking Joint: YEY
Wonderwall was playing, but this cover was less grungy than the original. It was by Ryan Adams, a cool, mellow version of the Oasis 1995 hit, the kind of tune that you'd prefer playing on your car on a breezy, sunday afternoon drive down the expressway. It's my second visit and my impression hasn't changed (I have made it a personal rule to dine twice in an establishment before putting out a review).
The Smoking Joint is laidback and unpretentious, probably even rough on the edges, but this place carries so much soul that it feels like home. A reiteration of the BF hit, it finds a new home along Chino Roces Extension, a bustling street on weekdays but a relaxed destination on the weekends. Much like how a dweller on the southern borderlands (alabang, et al.) would quietly sketch himself or herself (without openly admitting it) the restaurant's overall demeanor is upscale but hides it under a genteel easygoing charm. Time, which one needs for slow cooking, is a resource not everyone has an abundance of, afterall. A cursory glance at the menu also reveals a well curated selection of wine and craft beer, both local and imported. The interior exudes a modern industrial appeal: dark browns and blacks, distressed floor, unconcealed piping, glass, metal and wooden fixtures and accents. Prices are steeper than your usual fare but there are also more modest lunch sets on offer, albeit in smaller servings, of their bestsellers. It's subdued yabang, for the lack of a better term.
First thing that hits you when your ribs arrive is this deep meaty smell with a sweet hint of sugar and spices. The ribs land on your table as a beautifully assembled work: 3 pieces of rib neatly stacked in a crisscross pattern, the glaze and fat glistening, something that is a joy to look at. The single order has slender pieces while the halfrack, which would have 4 pieces, have bigger and longer portions. Having the ribs served precut is deceptive. There is so much more meat in each piece than you would expect.
Knives have no use here since soft pressure is all it takes for the handsone meat to break off from the bone. It's amazingly tender and moist. The sauce is not oppressively sweet nor agressively spicy (but i think the sauce is more sweet and less spicy on my second visit). While it is unclear what wood they use, the thick smoky taste in the meat is what separates this from the other places I've tried. It's heavy and long, and carries a sharp salty finish. It's a far cry from other ribshacks that depend so much on their sauce and rub alone. Easily, this would rank one or two on my list.
There are some small issues, though. The menu is quite unimpressive being photocopy printouts that they are, the tables wobble because of uneven footing which a cheap stopper would have solved, the hibiscus (gumamela) iced tea tasted like strawberry juice, and why do orders for the halfrack and fullrack lack the standard sides which you get with the single set. But consider that nitpicking.
I've been here for 2 hours and it's nearly 5pm. An officemate has walked in. Jasmine Thompson's cover of Rather Be is playing and the sun now casts amber light. Sunday is almost done. I'd drive down south but there is nowhere else to go.
The line up of food is undeniably superb. Meats are perfectly smoked and falls off on its own. What gives me the best experience here is the chill ambiance. It might be situated right across the main road but it definitely gives you this intimacy with how it is laid out. Might be cliche but this place is totally recommendable and would really come back again and again!
Finally, a meat place that tastes as good as it looks! Their beef brisket is cooked to perfection: charred on the side and perfectly pink on the inside. Their corned beef sisig is a revelation and the meat of their tasty ribs fall off the bone. They also have an extensive alcohol menu that can be paired perfectly with their meats. This is one joint I won't mind going to over and over again
