This is by far one of my favorite Spanish restaurants in Manila! Their tapas and pintxos ang very delicious and service was great. Make sure to try their bottles of wine, too!
The restaurant is a little small and can accommodate around 20-30 people only. It would be best to reserve a table before hand.
I was expecting smaller servings given it is a tapas place but it is just right for the price. I’m surprised this restaurant is not included in Zomato’s Best in Manila collection.
I heard a lot of good things about this restau and I’m so happy to finally try their food. I also found out they just opened a new store in Greenbelt (so happy)
Pintxo' is a 'Basque-ified' take on the Spanish word 'pincho', which itself comes from the verb 'pinchar', which is 'to pierce'. Pinchos are traditionally pierced with a cocktail stick to attach it to the piece of bread that they invariably came attached to.
It’s my first time to try a pintxo and i fell in love with it. At first, it felt its too small (wasn’t enough) but it was suprisingly filling.
The place was quite small but service was great. It was not that busy— we were assisted well and they gave really good recommendations.
Its quite expensive but it’s something you can spoil yourself once in a while.
We tried their burrata, chorizo, foie, jamon allioli and salmon. Price ranges from 100-500 pesos each
We ordered different tapas and pintxos and everything we ordered tasted good. Im not an expert when it comes to spanish cuisine but I know what good food is. The Rabo de toro is one of my favorites here. The beef is so tender and juicy and the sauce itself is so flavorful. The paella is also delish I just wished they put more chicken and shrimps. Among the pintxos we ordered the Foie and Bacalao were my top picks. The foie is buttery, sweet and creamy and i love the added crunch of the bread. Bacalao is tasty as well. Althoug prices are expensive I guess you will pay for what you will eat. The quality and flavor of their food is reasonable for the price
Food was good and the tapas, how i love them. Price is a bit pricey but considering the location of the resto as well as our experience, worth money paid though servings a bit small. Still, a place worth dining to.
Had a good Friday evening here with excellent G&Ts, good tapas! We loved the Pintxo G&T with Crow's Gin and Botanist G&T both with Three Cents Tonic. Our other beverages - Lavender Gimlet and Red Sangria - were just ok.
Food: best was Regatta Pintxo with yummy cheese and apple jam + jamon serrano. Burrata salad was good too. Pan con Tomate, Patatas Bravas and Pollo Ajillo were ok.
I was here around a month ago for the 6th anniversary of Crows Craft Brewery, an artisanal craft beer company that currently five varieties in tow. Notable pieces are the classic double IPA in De Puta Madre and De Puta Madre Reposado, with elementals of their gin.
Bar Pinxtos was great company as Crows served their drinks. First to arrive in our table was a delightful spread of pinxtos, small bread with an array of combinations of jamón, cheese, mushrooms, chorizo, etc.
We also received a fitting platter of cold cuts and cheese. It had jamon serrano, chorizo Iberico, salchichon Iberico, queso de cabra and manchego.
To keep a busy the entire night, small plates of Spanish Tapas arrived. Some of these were Orejas de Cerdo, tensile pigs ears; interesting Calamares in baby squid, Albondigas in carrot & tomato sauce, creamy on the inside, Chorizo Croquetas.
Classic Spanish dishes of tender Salpicao and savory Paella with chicken, shrimp and chorizo.
When’s the next chill night? This branch of Bar Pinxtos delivers quality Spanish favorites with a bar armed with a line up of Crows craft beers and gin.
bar pintxos- always a good recommendation for a dinner with friends. Sangrias are huuuuuge
Everything was so yummy! I also highly recommend their sangria - it really packs a punch!
Ambiance and service were great also. The only thing to keep in mind is that it's quite hidden so can be a bit tricky to find it
First time to eat here, gladly we got the place all by ourselves. The tapas are heaven! My favorite would especially be the Lengua. I love how perfectly balanced the oil and salt is. Best dine here with good company!
Bar Pintxos has always been one of my favorite spots for great food and drinks. The food is delicious and uncomplicated. The staff are terrific and have always taken great care of us. It's our favorite place to unwind after work. Highly recommended.
Food is really good! (See quail egg and ham pintxos.) I wish they had a more expansive wine collection and that the staff were a little friendlier and more attentive though. It took three of us to get a waitress' attention (not a crowded night) and they never came back with our change or receipt (it was less than a hundred, but still), so a few times throughout our night we felt pretty unwelcome.
A place for amazing tapas and Spanish cuisine. I looooove their foie gras! Every single dish is worth trying and coming back to. Great food!
I have never been a fan of Tapas and Pintxos before. Bite-sized snacks and small plates. I always thought that I won’t be satisfied by food in the smallest of servings and that changed in this EATSperience. Thanks to my Bar Pintxos EATSperience, I am now a huge fan of Tapas, Pintxos, and a whole lot more Spanish food! Because of this EATSperience, I have come to realize that Tapas and Pintxos are pretty tasty and absolutely filling, too. Yes, I have a lot of good words to say and I am really happy to share about my EATSperience of Tapas and More at Bar Pintxos in Salcedo, Makati! Keep on reading to find out the dishes that truly made me and my tummy happy in this edition of EATSplorations, enjoy!
Loved everything we ordered. Salpicao was cooked to perfection. Gambas 👌, not the usual small sized shrimp. Paella was great too! We were disappointed with the chicken. Too oily.
Chill place to talk to your friends plus perfect food
Wonderful dining experience as expected! Great food, ambiance, and service. Second time dining in Pintxos, the first was in BGC branch. Both did not disappoint :)
Food is good, authentic spanish cuisine. Place is cozy & welcoming staff. Serving size though is snall. But overall still a good restaurant worth visiting again. 😊
Great food as usual! First time to visit this branch as I usually visit the one in BGC.
Staple orders are the Jamon Allioli, Berenjenas and Huevos Estrellados.
Ordered the Salpicao earlier and it did not disappoint! Will definitely order it again the next time we visit.
Great food as always! My first time to try the fried calamari that night and it was my instant favorite!
We ordered the salpicao and paella mixta but the paella had hardly any meat on it so theres no photo.
You cant go wrong with the jamon allioli and sangria pairing tho.
Tried the Bar Pintxos in salcedo, need to find this place using maps. Ambience is ok. Petite size resto. Tried the following tapas:
Chirozo frito - tastes good
Salpicao - little spicy but tastes good
Gambas al ajillo -
Calamares ala plancha- seared squid. Looks unique and tastes ok
Chopito frito- looks like the typical calamares and this is very salty
Paella mixta - good for 2-3 people and tastes good
The foie tapas is a must try. The regatta, paella mixta, berenjenas, and pulpo made for a great meal paired with Soleca Cabernet Sauvignon. Attentive and frie fly staff, quick service. Highly recommend this resto!
Great place for tapas and cocktails with friends! Especially loved their paella as well. Cozy ambience, light mood, and cutesy bar on the side.
I’ve been to this branch of Bar Pintxos five times over the last four or five months and every experience I’ve had here has been great.
I rate this place a 4 to 4.5 out of 5. I think the overall experience in this place is comparable to what you can get at places like Terry’s, which has long been one of the best Spanish restos in the Metro.
I recommend getting the tortilla, the tortilla here is hands down the best I have tried—perfectly set on the outside yet oozy and runny on the inside. This is a must order.
I’ve tried most of the tapas here but the standouts are the butifarra, chorizo frito, chorizo burger, lengua, and pan com tomate with jamon.
For paella you have two choices, the mixta or the lamb. While both are worth trying, I would order the mixta if you could only order one of them.
For the pintxos. Like the tapas, most of them are quite tasty and reasonable but my faves are the regatta, foie, chorizo and egg, and one the last one I can’t remember the name but it has chorizo, mushrooms and eggplant.
To cap of your meal I recommend the french toast (once again I can’t remember the name on the menu).
Finally, for the drinks, I like beer and they have a good selection of beer. This is also one of the few places in Makati that serves Pilsner Urquell. They also have loads of other drinks and carry excellent spirits like Botanist Gin (at a decent price). This is a great place just relax while having tasty food and reasonably priced drinks.
To conclude, I think this is one of the best Spanish restos at the moment. If you are like me and love tapas then I suggest you give this place a try.
Bar Pintxos is perfect for dinner with family or drinks and pintxos with friends. The combination of ingredients used for the pintxos always go well. The hot dishes are also always tasty. My recommendations are: chorizo Frito, Pan con tomate con jamon Serrano, gulas pintxos, butifarra pintxos, regatta pintxos, tortilla, lengua, salpicao, paella mixta (better than the Cordero), and cheesecake.
Solid pintxos and tapas bar, how can you go wrong. I know they are known for pintxos but I was honestly more impressed with their other dishes. Their lengua was out of this world good! I always order the chorizo frito and douse the chorizo oil on everything I eat. I also recommend the paella mixta (better than paella Cordero), salpicao, tortilla patatas, and beef cheeks. Don’t skip dessert, my favorite is the cheesecake but everything else is pretty good too.
