It was an amazing experience. This really is a place I would recommend to people. Though I wish they'd have a shoyu based ramen since I think all their ramen is miso based.

A Look Into Hakata Tonichi
Hakata Tonichi. A fast-food ramen shop with more than just ramen in their menu to satisfy all your possible wants. Located at the “Top of the Glo” in Glorietta 2, this restaurant makes it easily accessible to students, families, and workers alike, even dedicating themselves to serving quality ramen to those even on a light budget. The restaurant opened sometime in June 2019, and ever since it has been a nice restaurant to go to for those who wish to indulge in something expected to be pricey at a cheap cost.

When my friends and I went to the store, we were greeted by the loud welcome of all the staff members, and greeted with a colorful and cheery store interior. On one end of the restaurant are the couch seats, and near to said couch seats is a wall with a mural on it. This would be a great photo, if it weren’t for the even more impressive mural on the other end of the restaurant, and having your picture taken here is sure to be an eye-catcher if you were to post it on your social media account. Dining here really gives off the vibe as if you were in a ramen shop in Japan as they played a few J-pop songs over the speakers, however not loud enough to be able to disrupt your meals or conversation.

Once me and my companions were seated, on their menus, their famous “essential ramen” or in other words, very affordable ramen, you could basically get one every day, was displayed along with 3 other variants of it. One being the “black” variant, including squid ink in the broth, one being the “red” variant, featuring a little extra spice for those out there looking for a bit of extra heat, and the “miso” variant, which gives the ramen broth a much deeper flavor. The one thing is, with this kind of ramen, you would expect a relatively high price somewhere around the P350 to P400 price range, however the price range of the ramen here? P180 or P220 per bowl! Really affordable, and add to the fact that it’s taste is on par with that of the more costly ramen, it’s a real great deal, giving some real nice bang for your buck.

However, if you’re itching for something other than ramen, Hakata Tonichi has got you. They have more than just ramen on their menu. Curry rice meals, rice bowls, a few sushi and entrees, they even have set meals which could be separated into 3 variants, each giving you a bowl of ramen to go with it! One which gives you a bowl of ramen with a rice bowl, another with a rice of your choice, and the “King” set which lets you pick a rice side of your choice, an entree, and a sushi roll of your choice. Now, I may be a fan of ramen, but I have to say, their curry is pretty great as well, even having different toppings to go with it such as shrimp, pork cutlet, chicken, and hamburger. While this does seem like a tempting offer, the price range for the curry plates are just slightly higher than the ramen bowls at P260 to P290. Or maybe you don’t like the taste of curry or just want some rice with sides? They got your back! Hakata Tonichi has rice bowl meals as well if you don’t feel like having ramen or curry.

Hakata Tonichi seems to be one of those places which I thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere, the food, and the service as well. It’s in a mall with a lot of different activities available to do, so if you’re eating out with friends or family, once you finish, there is just a huge variety of activities to do, which makes it perfect for a get-together.

The food for the working class

The ambiance of the restaurant was really inviting and a good place to rest as well as a comforting feel after a day of work where a person could just talk with their friends a just bond there. The food in the restaurant was really good and the serving is big enough to make a person very full having a whole ramen bowl along with a curry rice and iced tea only for 320 pesos. the cheese gyoza was 160 pesos for 5 pieces which tasted really good. There is also a combo where you would get a ramen and a donburi only for 420 pesos where surely the person who would eat this meal will be full and delighted. A price of 100+ to 200+ for a meal and 320 to 500+ for a combo meal. The overall meal was cheap at 480 pesos where the person who would order all this would surely be too full to even have a desert after the meal.

First thing, the interiors are absolutely lovely, would want to know the artist na gumawa ng walls nyo. Their ramen was very good for the price, and my bf loved the miso ramen. Salmon roll and the gyoza are relatively cheaper but they taste good. Minor comment lang sa gyoza, finely grate your ginger instead of mincing, kasi may nakagat akong cube. Everything went well with a glass of beer. Will definitely come back.

HAKATA TON-ICHI (Your go-to ramen resto kapag namimiss mo magRamen Nagi pero wala kang budget 😂)

*Ton-ichi Ramen (P180)
Extras: Tamago (P60) / Bean Sprouts (P30)

- Broth: 4/5 (Bland, at first pero unang higop mo palang it ALMOST tastes like Original Butao, lagyan mo lang maraming bawang sizt pero you can't deny the similarity😂)

- Noodles: 5/5 (Hindi sobrang o lambot, sakto lang sa trip ko)

- Chasu: 4/5 (Actually, mas bet ko sya kesa sa Nagi. Onti nga lang)

- Tamago: 5/5 (Sizt, kalasa ng tamago ng Nagi, this place is gold 😭)

- Bean Sprouts: 3/5 (Mas bet ko sa Nagi, pero pweds na)

All in all, this place is great! Ang ganda ng ambiance, okay rin service. Plus, ang mura ng ramen kumpara sa Nagi. Usually, one bowl of Butao costs around 395 to 450 if I'm not mistaken. Huhu, I'll be back here for more.

For me, Hakata offers the best-tasting low-priced ramen in the Metro! I recommend that you pair it with their cheesy gyoza. Totally worth your money :)

We arrived 10 minutes before closing and they still accommodated us. Kudos to ate who assisted us that night. Even if it's late she still served us with a smile. In fact, everyone still greeted us warmly until we left. Food was good especially for the price. Overall, it was the greatest experience we had. Will definitely come back!

Go here if you're craving for ramen but on a tight budget. We were worried that at P220 the miso ramen might be bland. But the broth was actually flavorful. There's only a thin slice of chashu and half tamago but you could buy add-ons. The karaage, slightly salty for me, was more expensive (P250)! We also tried the cheezy gyoza which was ok. We'll be back!

Note to foodies: don't compare this place to more expensive Japanese restaurants

Went here on a weekday lunch and the place was packed! Our group tried the Hakata King's set because we were really hungry and the deal seemed like a good one given the inclusions.

I got the Black Ramen and I liked it. I was surprised to find out that its ala carte is only Php 200 -- cheaper vs the usual ramen joints here in Manila. The gyoza side dish was also yummy. Fried rice was okay but a bit of carbo overload already for me. The only thing I did not like was the teriyaki pork roll. I couldn't sense the pork at all and the taste that filled my mouth was just pickled radish.

Adding this place as another Makati lunch option when in Glorietta!

The noodles are firm and the broth is rich. It would be great if the pork slices are thicker but over-all, nicely done. I will definitely go back and get another bowl

Hakata tonichi is located in Japan town on top of glorietta. We tried several dish in this resto.

Hakata salad - a little salty and expensive for its small size.
Teriyaki pork don - ok but too much mayo. Initially all meat are little burned but good thing the waiter replaced it.
Ton-ichi ramen - very good and balanced taste and cheap
Miso-ichi ramen - stronger taste, not a fan
Ebi katsu don -okay, good for 1 person

Overall, price is okay but food is so-so. Very good ambience (japanese look and feel). Waiters are friendly and very fast service.

My sister prefer Jap food today so we tried this newly opened resto at Top of the Glo.

We loved the ambiance and friendly/ accommodating staff. And don’t get me started with how amazing the food is!!! ITS THE BOMB! For its very affordable price– the quality, quantity, and taste wasn’t compromised.

Totally recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for something new at Glorietta! ❤️

My friend and I decided to try this newly-opened Japanese store at the top of the Glo since it was featured in spot.ph's must-try affordable ramen.

When I got there, there was a queu outside but we were seated for less than 10mins since people leave immediately after eating (yay very Japanese-mannered!).

We ordered their cheese gyoza for sharing, I had the red ramen while my friend chose the ton-ichi ramen. Surprisingly, their ramen was very good! My friend who has a small appetite and rarely finishes a bowl of ramen finished her order. I loved my order too despite expecting it to be spicy (i.e., red ramen) but it was not so I put a lot of spiced seasonings available in the table. The cheese gyoza was heavenly 😍 and I'll be back for sure to try their other dishes like curry-rice.

Highly recommended!

Had:
Ton-ichi Ramen
Cheese Gyoza

I was excited to try this place out because the ramen here was cheaper compared to other restaurants. Was a little disappointed - but not really surprised - to find out that their ramen was nothing special. Does the basic job of filling you up. Not much else.
The cheese gyoza is probably something I'm never having again. I love cheese and I love gyoza, but... not like this. 😟

A new ramen restaurant chain, Hakata Ton-Ichi, recently opened its doors with their first branch in SM North, and their second branch in Glorietta’s Japan Town (Top of the Glo).

Hakata Ton-Ichi’s signature ramen is only P180 per order! They currently have 4 ramen flavors:

Ton-Ichi Ramen (P180) – classic and good

Red Ramen (P220) – this wasn’t as spicy as I had expected

Miso-Ichi Ramen (P220) – strong miso flavor, my sister liked her order

Black Ramen (P220) – with squid ink

We ordered the Tonichi Ramen (Php180) and the Chicken Katsu Curry (around Php 260)

Serving size was good and service was pretty fast. The food was really good, would definitely go here again. I ordered the ramen and I wouldn't say its the best. It was just okay. I wish the noodles were softer and soup had a little more flavor, but overall not bad for the price. I think its worth it. For the curry that my boyfriend ordered, he said it was really good, its a bit spicy and had an after taste he wasn't used to, but he will order it again.

We will definitely come back and try other menu items as well 😊

The place is nice, the food is good and the staff are kind too. We ordered their Gyu Don and Ebi Don. I liked the scrambled egg on their Ebi Don, there is something in it that makes it taste better than the regular scrambled egg. Their Gyoza is also good.

Delicious and affordable - these are the two words that first come to mind when I think about Hakata Ton-Ichi. Other ramen joints need to watch their backs with this one! The quality/flavor of their broth may not be exactly the same, but it's definitely close!. Earlier this month, Hakata Ton-Ichi opened its first two branches - one at Top of the Glo and the other in SM North Towers. Other brands would think twice about starting off that strong, but not Hakata Ton-Ichi. Nope. They know what they're offering is good and they seem to have a grasp of the market too.

Rainy Season is also for Ramen weather. Since I’m in Glorietta looking for Ramen Place, I was curious about what is Top of the Glo. The top floor of Glorietta has been renovated to a Little Japan where they made it look like Shibuya Crossing. All of the restaurants are serving only Japanese food.

If you're going to ask me one dish I can eat for the rest of my life, that would be NOODLES, ramen or anything with soup! It's one of my go-to comfort food anytime, anywhere. That's why I was so excited when I heard about an authentic Japanese restaurant which sells ramen for 180 pesos only! I can't believe I'll get to enjoy my favorite dish and not break the bank!

This heavenly dish is from Hakata Ton-Ichi located at Glorietta 2 at Top of the Glo at Japan Town. At first I got confused where to find it but it's just at the very most top level from the activity center. Not only you'll get to enjoy a lot of Japanese food in the area but there's also a mini Shibuya Crossing where you can take the perfect ig photo.

Don't fret my north peeps because we can get to enjoy their offers too! They have a branch at SM North Edsa at North Towers. Hooray!

Now I know you really want to hear about their Ramen so let me break down their menu for you. They have 4 types or ramen, you can either eat it solo or create your own meal set starting from 180 pesos!

HAKATA RAMEN

- Ton-Ichi Ramen (180 pesos)

- Red Ramen (220 pesos)

- Black Ramen (220 pesos)

- Miso-Ichi Ramen (220 pesos)

ESSENTIAL RAMEN SET (this set includes ramen, fried rice, fruits and iced tea) 320 pesos only!!!

- Choose your ramen

- Choose your rice (hakata fried rice, black fried rice, red fried rice, and curry rice)

*eto palang nakakabusog na!

RAMEN DON SET (this set includes ramen, donburi, fruits and iced tea) 420 pesos!

- Choose your ramen

- Choose your donburi (teriyaki chicken don, teriyaki pork don, gyu don, oyako don, ebi katsu don)

HAKATA KING'S SET (set includes ramen, hakata fried rice, salad or sushi, side dish, mixed fruits and iced tea) 500 pesos!!!

- Choose your ramen

- Choose your salad or sushi (potato salad, hakata salad) (sunny california roll, teriyako pork roll)

- Choose your side dish (gyoza, chicken karaage)

*eto na PINAKA sulit sa lahat

Of course I opted for the Hakata King's Set so I get to try out everything as much as I can. I ordered their Ton-Ichi Ramen. I was surprised with the taste, how well balanced everything was and it is the kind of soup I was looking for. The right amount of broth na hindi nakakaumay, I liked how firm the noodle was (I'm not sure if they have the option to choose the firmness of the noodles). The For 180 pesos this is the best ramen I've tasted so far within that budget range. #realtalk This bowl alone I already felt full, in a good way :)

Overall

Food - Their ramen are really good hear, it doesn't taste cheap! Good quality.

Price - VERY AFFORDABLE

Serving - Nakakabusog!

Ambiance - Really nice place, it's bright and very artsy.

Parking - Mall parking :)

Hakata Ton-ichi is located at Japan Town, newly opened side on Top of the Glo, Glorietta Makati.

Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- We tried their Cheeseburg curry rice. Hamburger pork patty with creamy cheese sauce over rice with their special Japanese curry sauce. I was shocked because it was quite a huge serving but I still prefer coco ichibanya’s version
- Tried their Black ramen (other options: Ton-ichi ramen, Red ramen or Miso-ichi ramen) and black fried rice (other options: hakata fried rice, red fried rice or curry rice). It also comes with iced tea and watermelon (fruits). The ramen was good but i’m not a fan of the black rice.

Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Their ramen are just 180 pesos! Affordable quality ramen for all ramen addicts out there.
- Curry rice ranges from 260-290 pesos
- They also offer set items
🍜 Essential Ramen Set P320
🍜 Ramen Don Set P420
🍜 Hakata King’s Set P500

Very affordable, huge servings and quality food.

Service/Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Perfect place! Love the design, the colors, the ambience and service was really good (kahit madaming tao)

Finally! We have an iexpensive ramen targeted for the working class! We ordered the Ton-Ichi ramen and Red ramen. The former only costs P180 while the latter costs P220 because of the "red oil". This is much cheaper compared to the other ramen places, yet taste is comparable.

Hi guys! I'm so excited to share with you all an authentic ramen place that won't break the bank!. Located at Glorietta 2 Japan Town (Top of the Glo) in Makati, Hakata Ton-Inchi offers ramen bowls for as low as 180pesos!. It can be a little bit confusing to get there so make sure to ask for directions. What I usually do is I go to the top floor where the cinemas are and go through the hallway where Cinema 1 is and there'll be a door leading to the al fresco area. Just keep walking straight until you find the sign that says Japan Town.

Even though there is an overwhelming rise of Milk Tea and Korean Barbecue establishments, Ramen remains to have a steady increase in stores. Recently, Makati welcomed Hakata Ton-Ichi, a local ramen concept.

Hakata Ton-Ichi can be your answer for your repeated Japanese cravings given their pocket-friendly pricing. The signature ramen with its namesake is only at Php 180, half of the usual amounts you’ll pay elsewhere.

If you are extra hungry, I highly recommend Hakata King’s Set at Php 500. You get your ramen of choice, salad or sushi, side dish, fried rice, dessert, and iced tea. On a date with different picks, it’s like having a mini buffet seating down.

This is what I had for my set- delicious, squid ink based, Black Ramen; classic Sunny California Roll; crisp and tasty, Chicken Karaage; Hakata Fried Rice and cubes of watermelon.

My companion got an entirely different option. His was a rich and bit too salty, Miso-Ichi Ramen, Teriyaki Pork Roll, Gyoza, Hakata Fried Rice, and fruits also.

Hakata also takes pride in their curry. I loved that it was thick, creamy, and spicy with a hint of sweetness. The Hamburg with Cheese was actually my favorite dish they served.

Visit Top of the Glo’s Japan Town soon. This roof deck of Glorietta now has four Japanese restaurants, offering distinct specialties.

BANG FOR THE BUCK!

Hakata's selling point is their prices. They got the cheapest legit ramen in town! But that doesn't automatically translates to low quality food. Taste is superb! They can easily put out those expensive ramen restos around.

Wifey and I are ramen lovers. We've had our personal ramen experience from Tokyo and those became our ramen standard. Hakata's ramen experience is never far from that. Their Tonkotsu-based broth has a rich but soft flavor that would make you want more. A thin slice of pork and a half serving of tamago adds touch to it.

All that in a bowl of 180 pesos. Yep. Cheap right?

They also have a wide variety to choose from. They have set meals too. Wifey had a Ton-ichi ramen served with 5pcs generous sized gyoza and a mashed potato with grated cabbage underneath and half tamago as a side dish. I had a solo Ton-ichi ramen and a Pork Curry Katsu.

The curry katsu serving is generous, and tastes great too! The meat is well fried and you don't get an oily taste. One serving will fill you up good. Bad move for me as I also had a bowl of ramen to go after. Lol.

Gyoza serving is a bit large and has a lot of meat in it. Goes well with the ramen. Never had the chance to taste the mashed po but wifey said it's good too.

All that for a little over 1000 pesos. If it wasn't for the service charge our bill wouldn't even reach 1000. It was all worth it!

After this experience, I can say I have found our new favorite ramen place. 🤩🤩🤩

Clean and cool place and service was quick too and they are always attentive. There's a little bar in the middle if you want the "ramenba" experience, you can seat there.

It is located in Top of the Glo area. We had to roam around a bit inside Glorietta trying to find their place because it wasn't mentioned on their FB page where exactly they are haha.

An affordable good quality ramen place in a nice roomy area.

My partner and I wanted for some ramen and saw that there is this new area in Glorietta called Japan town. Hakata Ton-Ichi is one of the new restaurants already open in this area and they specialize in ramen. My lady had Miso-Ichi Ramen and I had Red-Ichi Ramen, shared between us as a side dish is a Salmon Maki and Cheese Gyoza.

First, the ramen. The bowls start at 180 and top off at 220, not counting set meals. They share the same tonkotsu broth that leans more on the thicker side with a good punch of pork flavor. The chasu is nice and soft, with a mild flavor to it, while the egg is cooked medium and has a gentle seasoning touch to it. The spring onions used were fresh and the bamboo adds a nice neutralizing taste rather than an earthy one. Initially the weak point would be the noodles. The noodles are thin and lean towards the softer end with no bite or chew. This doesn't seem to pair well with the thicker broth as the noodles almost just pass through the mouth without allowing you to savor it with the broth. However as we ate our meal, I noticed my broth being reduced while I'm hardly touching it, realizing then that the noodles were actually absorbing the broth and carrying its flavor in part. It may be interesting to try thier fried rice set for this. The serving portion is also relatively large, possibly holding a candle to Ramen Nagi and Santouka. The spice level of the Red-Ichi is really weak though and I almost cannot discern the heat.

Next are the side dishes. The Gyoza is good, not to my taste, but good. Its mix is towards more pork and doesn't have much cabbage and there is but a hint of ginger. The cheese sauce is also drowned out by the power of the meat. It is better off to enjoy thier Gyoza as is, without the Cheese part. The Salmon Maki is rather standard fare. The salmon is thin and has a very light taste and if eaten whole, the rice just sort of overwrites everything, even the rather sad wasabi you can put on it.

All in all, price point is what really carries this joint. In a time where ramen is averaging 300 a bowl, being able to get a large size ramen with a good punch for less than 250 is something worthy of mention.

Yung gusto mo ng LEGIT na RAMEN pero 180.00 LANG pera mo. No problem!

Pinili ko yung basic ramen ton-ichi nila, no expectations.

Next time masubukan
