The signature Ujikintoki matcha ice shavings was terrific!!! I would definitely go there again. Recommend to anyone who loves dessert!
Left my phone in your resto and one of your servers-- who was already very helpful and pleasant to begin with-- ran and followed me down one floor just to return my phone to me.
Her name is Pearl. Please thank her again for me.
Definitely a MUST TRY!!! <3 I love all of the desserts!!!
I am one of the people who’s into Milk Tea right now. Whenever I go to the mall, you can see me holding a cup of Milk Tea and/or coffee. I can say that I am still a coffee drinker but right now, I am addicted to the pearl and boba in a cup of tea and I just wanted a taste at least twice a week.
Just looked at my watch and I can imagine Friday traffic is still bad out there. So I decided to head into The Dessert Kitchen to kill more time before hitting the road. The Dessert Kitchen menu has a fairly vast selection of menu items but I ordered the recommended “PURPLE IN LOVE.” The Dessert Kitchen's bestselling dessert. It’s also their award-winning 'Purple in Love,' made with Kyoho grape seaweed balls, grape shaved ice, mini rice balls, grapes, and taro mochi ice cream that’s packed with everything except the kitchen sink. I actually really liked it but it was too sweet when I hit the bottom of the bowl and so I had to stop. It was a bit decadent but at least I didn’t feel guilty at the end of my dessert. Try it The Dessert Kitchen if you get the chance. I know that I'll be going back for the strawberry ice cream.
After a savory lunch we definitely need something to satisfy our sweet tooth!
Charcoal whatsoever dessert always entice me, so the moment I saw that charcoal thing cream cheese on milk tea, I knew. This is it! Lol. I had mine on 50% sugar level and I like it, not too sweet. The cheese milk cap complement it well. Definitely made the right choice.
Oolong Charcoal Sea Salt Cheese Milk Cap Milk Tea(reg) - Php128
*add on: Nata Jelly - Php15
Boba Milk Tea Smoothie Shake(reg) - Php108
Peach Fruit Tea(reg) - Php88
📍 Location: 3rd floor, Powerplant Mall, Rockwell, Makati City
rockwell lovies! if you’re wanting a diff take on your milk tea, as in sipping on a smoothie shake milk tea, look no further kasi we got the dessert kitchen at the 3rd floor of the powerplant mall.
what i adored was their boba milk tea smoothie shake. im a dessert person and i dont mind eating em for whatever meal
course. now, incorporate my fad fave w/c is the boba and im sold. it’s as if i was chugging down on a sweet milky vanila smoothie and oit of nowhere, im sippin’ on some sweet boba. though the boba was a bit on the soft chew side w/c im not so inclined to, the milkshake weighted more on the holistic aspect.
as for the rest, their hong kong imported teas really comes out of the flavor of their drinks. me not so much likin’ that bit, but for ‘em tea loving people, this place is best for you.
My favorite dessert place! I always go here for about 3 to 4 times a week. I ordered Dancing queen all the time. The best matcha - quality wise!
My favorite dessert place in Rockwell 💙
It isn't my first time here and I'm always excited everytime I visit this place.
The Dessert Kitchen is a franchise from Hong Kong and serves light Asian desserts – their menu promises low-fat sweets with ingredients like matcha, fresh fruits, seaweed balls, and kanten.

If you are looking for a place to satisy your sweet tooth headover to The Dessert Kitchen
Unique and flavorful desserts. They offer many varieties of dessert and have unconventional but great presentation. Looks aside, the desserts themselves taste great.
May 20, 2018 Of all the desserts we ordered here the Taiwanese Chocolate Shaved ice is the best! It's good for 2 but honestly I could finish one all by myself. It has the consistency of ice cream and a dark chocolate taste. Perfect with those bananas, nata de coco and rice balls. This is like eating a less fattening chunky monkey. We also got the Coffee Time with yoghurt, taste of uji with yoghurt again and the mango pudding. All of them are OK, but after that Shaved ice they all pale in comparison. Next time, we're sticking with Shaved Ice. We're planning to try the other flavors. A word of caution though, maybe because of the summer heat, they've got a long wait list. We were just lucky that some people were about to bill out when we arrived. Coupled with the long wait for a table is that each dessert isn't immediately served. But that's understandable because the desserts are so pretty! They succeed in making them look exactly what is shown in their menu.
i enjoy the desserts here and have to go back to try the others. coffee is good too. however the waiter didn't know whether the dessert we wanted to order uses cow's milk or coconut milk. this shows lack of training. some people might be allergic to cow's milk. staff should be able to list the ingredients. not answer, ' it came like that.'
The dessert kitchen offers a variety of Asian desserts and it was difficult to choose - we played safe and got the Cocoa Kiss Sundae (Php 168) and Mango Pudding (Php 128). The mangoes were very fresh and the pudding was creamy and delicious! The cocoa kiss sundae had both vanilla and chocolate ice cream, coffee jelly, cocoa crisps and banana. It tasted yum too. The quantity was good for sharing and quite difficult to finish it all alone (though that’s what I did! 😉) Service was prompt and loved the pretty decor!
The Dessert Kitchen‘s wide, blue backdrop and the grassy displays exude an easygoing ambiance that makes you feel as if you are seated in your own kitchen (with a fridge stocked exclusively with desserts).
Their dishes are patterned after traditional Asian desserts but with their own little twists. When ordering, you’re given a choice between low-fat yogurt or ice cream, which is truly a God-send to all you calorie-counters and health-conscious sweet tooths out there.
Their desserts definitely stand out against other contenders because of their innovative appeal. Desserts such as the Eggettes, Mango Fever Parfait, and Nippon Warabi are namely a few that you wouldn’t find anywhere else in Manila.
Place is a bit small but clean and comfortable maybe because we were there early.
True to its name they are all about desserts.
Ordered the following:
Dancing Queen 5/5: if you like matcha this is for you. The match a ice cream and jelly are really good bittersweet matcha flavors. It is balanced by the sweet red beans and vanilla pudding. Great balance. Good size for 1,
Mango shave ice- 4/5. Good flavor; natural ingredients; good serving size can be shared.
This place is so adorable! 😍 It's quaint and just so cozy. I went here with my barkada. Everything is pretty good but my favorite would have to be the serradura. It's just so soft and so heavenly on the palate. 💕
I decided to try out this dessert place with my sister since I was curious about their raindrop cake. Initially I wanted to try the Sakura Warabi but unfortunately they were out of stock so I ordered the Nippon Warabi instead.
To be honest I didn't have high expectations since I had heard that it was bland. To my surprise I actually really loved the Nippon Warabi. Yes it's simply gelatin and yes if you eat the raindrop alone without any of the flavorings its pretty tasteless.
However, if you eat it together with the red beans, the syrup and the soy powder it's really good. Everything works beautifully together and it's a very light refreshing dessert. I was not a huge fan of the matcha balls but otherwise I loved it.
My sister ordered the Shaved Ice Mango and she absolutely loved it. It was tasty, smooth, and had a very strong mango flavor. Expect it to be tart and very strong. We both loved the texture and flavor of it.
Overall we enjoyed the experience imensely and plan to return there to try the other desserts. And for those interested, yes the interior decor and design is very instagram friendly.
One small thing I was unhappy about... I really really didn't like their lemon flavored water. It was the base water they serve but I'm going to make sure to ask for plain water next time.
Ohhh probably one of my favorite dessert places! I really LOVE Asian desserts. I don't think I could live in a country that does not have a good selection of Asian desserts!
This place is always clean, and the service is always great for me. On top of that, the desserts are amazing. Check out my photos! Warm or cold desserts, take your pic. I recommend them all!!!

Update:
They now serve milk and fruit teas and we have been coming back for 2 main reasons: 1) it’s never crowded here with ample seating and even sockets for charging so it’s a good option when Starbucks and CBTL are full esp on weekends and 2) they currently have a loyalty stamp card and I’m a sucker for freebies (i.e. 1 free after 10 orders).
My companion’s favorite is always the Boba Smoothie Shake. I, on the other hand, try a different drink every time. Their brown sugar boba is good but I like it at 100% sugar. Sometimes they say the sugar level for their drinks is fixed but I insist because I have a sweet tooth. Same thing just happened recently and I’m glad I insisted because the last time I ordered the Peach Fruit Tea it was still too bitter for me but now with the added syrup, it was perfect and I might have just found my new favorite here.

They serve the best shaved ice dessert called Purple in Love made with Kyoho grape seaweed balls, grape shaved ice, mini rice balls, grapes, and taro mochi ice cream. It’s perfect for the summer or actually any season! A refreshing dessert after a full meal or simply for a snack. In my opinion, it’s way better than the current craze Korean Bingsu. Plus points too for the place being pretty & cozy. And so far, during my several visits, servers have always been pleasant too.
The place for 'healthy dessrts'!
We took out Tofu with Mixed Fruits. Lovely silken tofu and nicely round-scooped fruit pieces. Makes for a good guilt-free dessert.

The staff was very accommodating as we enter the shop. The menu looked nice and interesting. I was craving for something fruity so i ordered mango pudding. It was very tasty and magooey. I loved itz
Super cool restaurant. We just tried their tea and we're all satisfied. We liked how the teapot was designed. It's really cool and you'll love the taste of their tea.
The unique nature of their desserts made this place an interesting experience. Brownies wrapped up in mochi and a faux “noodle” dish kept me guessing.
The flavors and textures were surprising. I overall enjoyed the experience and look forward to my next adventure at this place.

i loved my experience there. definitely going back. the people were very friendly and they even took the time to show and explain us their favorites. also affordable.
First off, service is top notch. There is a cute diagram in front of the restaurant that guides you to a dessert suggestion based on your tastes and some other guidelines. A waiter saw me looking at it and immediately asked if we needed further suggestions. He was attentive throughout and even left us a feedback form for us, showing that The Dessert Kitchen really does care about improving themselves.
The ambience is bright, quaint and cute. It looks like something out of a Pinterest board and made you feel like you were in a cartoon dining room.
Onto the main thing, I got two desserts, the strawberry shaved ice and the Purple in Love. The strawberry shaved ice was perfect. Not icy, very delicate, soft but somehow also substantial on the tongue. The strawberry flavor wasn't overpowering or artificial which I appreciated it alot. It comes with some lychee jelly, fresh strawberries, and tapioca pearls on the side.
I was more excited for the Purple in Love because it was supposedly an award winning dessert. It certainly was visually stunning. A mound of bingsu with grape syrup, topped with some special grape flavored seaweed pearls, surrounded by grape mochi ice cream, fresh grapes, and tapioca pearls. Sadly, I just wasn't into the taste. The bingsu was very icy, like a dollar store snow cone. The grape flavor was a little sickly sweet and artificial tasting. The toppings were all nice and provided great taste and textural balance, but I feel like it was let down by what should be the main star of the dish, the bingsu in the middle.
Overall, I was let down by one of the two desserts I had but I plan on coming back and trying out more in the future. The menu is very large and varied so I'm sure there's something for everybody here.
The Dessert Kitchen has beautiful interiors. It’s quaint and cozy. Having desserts/snacks there like their sundaes is really pleasant and perfect when you just want to chill after a big meal or going around the mall.
The Dessert Kitchen may shock you at first, but as you stay it grows on you. I’m glad I gave it a second chance. I’ll be back here the next time I’m in Rockwell.
Tip: Mix all the ingredients in your order to experience the full taste.
I've been reading about their bestseller so to prolong that craving, I decided to completely avoid it and get Green Tea Milk instead. It was strong, powdery, & tasty to my liking. Serving size makes me want to scratch my head though having alkaline service water (lemon) on the side was fine.
My bandwidth test gave me these results, my coordinates being right at the middle of the restaurant facing the wall with several small, round mirrors:
Ping 115ms
Download 7.16 Mbps
Upload 0.6 Mbps
There's service charge, boo! 😄
I love the ambience. It was aesthetically very pleasing and a definite 5 star for their service. The staff were friendly and the pricing was very reasonable too.
We ordered the Winter of Love, opted for low fat yogurt and shaved chocolate ice. Winter of Love has slices of mango, cereals, some sort of gelatin topped with cookies and cream ice cream. I really enjoyed it. It matches well with the yogurt. Then, the shaved ice cream has some sides like the circle gelatin and banana slices. I like the design of the place; it's bright and not so noisy. I prefer to study here rather than in the cafe because of its good ambience.
Whenever I’m out, I always look for something sweet. I was extremely happy when a friend took me to this place called “The Dessert Kitchen”. I felt so excited knowing that I’ll be able to taste something new again. The place is new by the time we went there and the ambiance is cool. They have variety of desserts like Ice cream, Sundae, Eggettes, Parfaits, Jelly, Shaved Ice, Drinks and many more. We ordered “The Winter of Love” and “The Dancing Queen” sundaes and they were both awesome. This place is instagram-worthy and perfect for sweet-tooth lovers like me. I’m looking forward to try the eggettes on my next visit because it looks yummy too.
After a quick visit for a Blogger shoot in nearby Sunrise Buckets, I was drawn to visit this vibrant and well lit establishment, a Hong Kong born, dessert place that serves a long list of popular Asian sweets.
It took me awhile to browse their multiple paged menu, which featured parfaits, sundaes, kantens (jelly noodles), ice creams, eggettes, puddings, seraduras (tea biscuit puddings), panna cottas and many more. It was a haven of anything really. Some items, however were sadly, unavailable.
Since I was alone I only had two kinds. I ended up having their filling Chocolate Eggette with Dark Chocolate Ice Cream with fresh fruits and classic Chinese Mango with Pomelo Sago. Both did impress vis a vis pricing and taste. And they served these quite fast as well.
If you are one of those that got the sweet tooth, this establishment might just cure your craving. 😊
Really cool concept for desserts. It is something unique. The Dessert Kitchen hails from Hong Kong so expect some eggettes on their menu.
During my visit, of course I had to try their award winning shaved iced dessert, Purple in Love. It was definitely pure love! It had fresh grapes, mochi stuff and a lot more.
Every dessert were Instagram worthy and delish! The place was cute too.

👉Super fresh blueberries, blueberry jelly , blueberry seaweed balls , blueberry shaved ice + taro mochi ice cream only at dessert kitchen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Dessert Kitchen takes your sweet tooth to a whole new level. As an avid dessert eater specializing in really sweet cakes, pastries, chocolates, lots and lots of chocolates, it gave me a different but really satisfying experience. Here you get to enjoy all natural, low fat sweets without compromising its flavors. Interior is both dainty and industrial, definitely worth a share in one's social media. We've dined here several times and every time we try something new. Yesterday, we tried for the first time the Nippon Warabi, Serradura in strawberry and our staple Taiwan style shaved ice in mango. All are good for sharing. The Nippon Warabi aka Raindrop cake was a surprising delight! It was pleasing to the eye as well as the palate. It is light and the various flavor and texture compliment each other. I am a newbie to this type of dessert, so I have nothing to compare it to. It's something I'd probably want to eat to literally cleanse my palate after a meal, it's really really light. The strawberry Serradura was also a new favorite with kiwi, strawbery, grapes and mango bits. Soybean powder added texture and depth to the dish. And of course the the shaved ice did not fail our expectations with its big chunks of sweet mangoes. There's a bit of waiting time though, despite having few diners at that time. But I guess picture perfect treats like these take time to create. It's not for everyone's palate but definitely worth the try.

Chocolate Lovers Eggettes and Valrhona Chocolate Ice Cream : Eggettes are crispy outside, soft inside, and super chocolatey. Valrhona Ice Cream is sooo divine. If you're a choco addict, then you must definitely try this one!
Choco Kiss : It has coffee jelly (if I'm not mistaken), chocolate Krispies, and many more chocolate thingy topped with chocolate ice cream and banana then drizzled with chocolate syrup. This is so good that even non-choco lovers would enjoy it. My friend who's not a fan of anything chocolatey enjoyed this one too.
Dancing Queen : I actually don't know what's on it since I wasn't able to try it. Why? I'm so occupied with my Choco Kiss! But as per my friend, dancing queen is okay. Great for green tea / matcha fans.
SERVICE:
Staff seems to be friendly
PRICE:
A bit pricey but worth it.
VERDICT:
Did I enjoy it? - Yes
Will I recommend it? - Yes
Will I come back? - Yes
We ordered the Purple in Love, their bestseller, because it got me really curious. But I have a thing for chocolates so I enjoyed the Chocolate Lovers Eggette more. Their menu is quite different from what I'm used to so I'm planning to come back to try a different kind of dessert.

After me and my friend shopped around Rockwell. Since it was so hot outside, we decided to go to have something cold. He recommended me this place, so we went here. I ordered matcha yoghurt thingy but you have the option to make it ice cream. And he ordered the one with the jelly thingy. I can't remember the name of it. The desserts were okay. Mine got huge servings, I just wished that I opted for an ice cream because the yoghurt is too sour for me and it doesn't compliment with the taste of the matcha. The service we're okay and ambiance was pretty cozy
The Eggette is like a waffle made of chocolate capsules with chocolate ice cream on top. They said it's good for one. But two or three people can share. It's good! The Black Temptation can come in soft serve vanilla ice cream or yoghurt. It has chocolate crispies and oreos. Delicious. The coffee press is good too.
Desserts time with my son & daughter.
Been planning to visit the place & yes, Sunday it was.
"Purple in Love"
Best seller for it is their signature item
No regrets!
Super sarap! So refreshing! It's a new concoction, but my, it is worth a try, though it is pricey. And they need to increase their crew to complement their number of clients.
Kyoho grape seaweed balls
Rice cake
Grape shaved ice
Mochi ice cream
Sweet grapes... sarap talaga!
Happy tummy!
Okay so i was going around powerplant mall last tuesday and i came across this unique place called , The desert kitchen. And being a fan of sweet desert stuff i decided to try it. The staff was friendly and in fact very knowledgable about their menu. I wanted to try their eggettes but unfortunately they don't have that yet so i asked what is their next best thing and it was this Grape surprise. True enough it was fantastic. What actually striked me the most is the spherification of the grape juice that looked like fish roe! A for AWESOME! Accompanied with good coffee resulting in me having a Good time despite being alone. Kuddos to this shop ❤️❤️
What a way to escape the Philippine heat! The dessert kitchen is my current favorite dessert place anywhere in the world I have been to, so far, hands down! Love everything about it! The decor, the ambience, most importantly, the dessert! This place doesnt serve the usual conventional sweets such as cakes, mind u, but it is definitely worth trying if u haven't stepped out of ur dessert comfort zone. If u r into grapes and anything grape-flavored, purple in love would be it! Grape flovored taiwanese shaved ice topped with little grape flavored "caviar" which pop in ur mouth with each bite, purple yam mochi ice cream, glutinous rice balls, and fresh grapes. When served, it looks so pretty u wouldnt dare touch it but looks so scrumptious u wouldnt care when u eat it like a caveman (not that i am as old as one... i just imagined how cavemen and cavewomen ate!) My personal favorite is coffee time. Generous portion of glorious coffee jellies topped with pillowy tiny marshmallows, ur choice of frozen nonfat plain yoghurt or lowfat vanilla soft served ice cream. (I opted for the latter bec unless you hate vanilla, u couldnt go wrong with it!) Would i come back to this place if given another chance? Definitely! No doubt about it! Would i recommend? What do u think?!
After our lunch, we had desserts at The Dessert Kitchen. This resto serves the most beautifully plated desserts and the taste isn't so bad too.
The Taiwanese style shaved iced in strawberry flavor was yummy and wasn't too sweet. Eggettes used both warm and cold textures. Plus they use fresh fruits which was a plus.
Nippon Warabi aka raindrop dessert was ok nothing special in terms of taste.
My relatives ordered various desserts and I wasn't able to take note of all of it. 😅
[Late post]
It is undeniable that The Dessert Kitchen has really photogenic desserts. I have been eying to visit this Hong Kong dessert shop for the longest time but I never manage to do so because 1) I don’t have any other business in Rockwell and 2) Manila traffic is crazy. But I managed to pay this place a visit on Father’s Day weekend and it sure was packed!
Honestly this wasn't our first choice when we were looking for a dessert place in Rockwell recently. But since the place we wanted closed down already, we ended up here. I was expecting a lot more given their popularity, especially their raindrop cake and sweet ramen. These two are what we ordered to know what the fuss is all about. True, it was very instagrammable especially the raindrop cake, but the taste was so bland. The stuff they put around it helps with adding flavor but you'd feel like you're robbed while eating it given the amount you pay per order of it. The ramen was also so so. I ordered mine with green tea milk sauce. I think I would've been more satisfied if I just had a green tea latte drink. I would've given a lower score, but I'm giving plus points for the nice ambiance of the place and the presentation of their desserts. Maybe next time I'll try their sundaes, shaved ice, or the more traditional options. They might be more worth it.
Had a quick bite here before watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 with my Tita and cousins.
We each tried a different item from their menu, and I had this coconut shaved ice. I was a bit hesitant at first for fear it would be simple and bland.
My god, was I wrong! From the very first bite I knew I hit the jackpot with this one. The coconut is a sweet concoction that would satisfy any sweet tooth's taste buds. And how about that Nata and tiny Bilo bilo on the side? It was heavenly! Two of my favorites, actually!
Ohh, and not to mention the Mangoes! Who doesn't love Mangoes? Hihi!
Plus, if you really want to indulge on yummy dessert, The Dessert Kitchen will definitely give you your money's worth.
Giving it a 4.5 since there were quite a few items on their menu that weren't available. It made ordering kinda hard for my cousins, especially since we were in a bit of a rush.
My daughter ordered the Nippon Warabi (P168), also popularly known online as Warabi Mochi or Raindrop Cake. I warned her that the intiguing glass-like jelly tastes just like cold water. It’s supposed to be eaten with the syrup, soybean powder, and red beans. Our order lacked soybean powder because they had run out and they don’t know when they’ll have it in stock again. Anyway, my daughter found it insanely refreshing and amusing at first and she was happy with it. Halfway through she said it tastes like nothing and she wishes she had ordered something else. I don’t mind though, for me it’s a perfect refresher after a hearty meal.
My hubby, who loves green tea, ordered The Dancing Queen (P168). It’s green tea ice cream, red beans, green tea kanten (jelly), mini rice balls (mochi), milk pudding, and vanilla ice cream. Wow, I loved the silky smooth milk pudding combined with everything else! Good choice because it’s satisfying and not expensive.
I decided to go for something hot and ordered Sesame Rice Ball in Coconut (P188). It looked so impressive on the menu, served inside a coconut shell and all. I was underwhelmed when this all white bowl arrived on our table. It was nothing special too, it tastes just like ginataan. It had two (2) sesame rice balls (mochi filled with black sesame paste) and numerous little rice balls plus coconut strings. Not bad but ho hum… boring!
My son had The Dessert Kitchen’s award-winning (Hong Kong Grand Cuisine Awards 2009) dessert called Purple In Love (P258). It’s made up of Kyoho grape seaweed balls, grape shaved ice, mini rice balls, fresh grapes, and taro mochi ice cream. It’s an explosion of sweet, tart, juicy, creamy, and cold sensations. It’s sooooo good! It’s refreshingly unique and certainly deserving of the award it had won. It’s the biggest among the desserts we ordered in terms of serving size so it can be shared by two people.
Looking through The Dessert Kitchen menu and deciding what to order can be challenging. There are so many kinds of desserts! One visit is definitely not enough. I like the happy yet relaxed vibe the place exudes. The prices are pretty reasonable to boot. We’ll probably be back for more.
Coming back from Taiwan I’m still hung up on their shaved ice. Fortunately there’s The Dessert Kitchen to satisfy those cravings. A great dessert to beat the heat this summer 🍧😋. I ordered the Strawberry Taiwan Style Shaved Ice. It’s shaved ice with strawberries, nata, and mini rice balls. The shaved ice has a light strawberry flavor that is well complimented by the rice balls, nat and strawberry.
Eye candy!! Almost every dessert here is ig-worthy, especially the seradura! 🤤 Flavor-wise, it was alright for us. Take note: Plating and quality over quantity. Didn't get to order Purple in love this time, but we'll come back for it for sure.
Tip: Try to seat near the blue wall, for better pictures!
From our orders, I very well liked Durian Serradura. They didn't scrimp on the durian but the serving size is just for 1 or even 0.5 person. Purple in Love was OK. Pinacolada in coconut crystal ball was regrettable - bland - probably I didn't understand the concept of this dessert. There are still aplenty of desserts to choose from so I'll probably be back to check the others.
Came here to try some of their delicious desserts and I ordered the matcha green tea milk and the Japanese style brownies.
The brownies were sooooo yummy. It was wrapped in Mochi and love that it was too sweet. I'm not a big fan when it's way too sweet.
Gotta go back and try the other desserts.
I think I have yet to try other desserts. I expected a bit too much. I think the taste is just okay and nothing too special. Quite pricey for my expectations on the taste. It's not bad though, but I think taste of the soft-served ice cream can still be improved.
Honestly I did not enjoy my first visit at The Dessert Kitchen, few months ago. I got Taste of Uji Yogurt Parfait back then. It is so sweet that I was not able to finish the whole thing, and I can barely taste the Matcha flavor.
Recently my BF and I decided to have our desserts here. We ordered Tofu with Black Glutinous Rice, and Original Eggettes. Since we are still full from our lunch, we just shared our sweets. We both loooove the Tofu with Glutinous Rice, it was not too sweet, just the way we like it. We were so happy that we made the right dessert choice. The Eggettes was good too, even if we only got the original.
We are excited to try more of what they have. Looking forward for the opening of their S Maison Conrad branch.
Another foreign franchise, this one specializing in HK / Singaporean style desserts. First and foremost, I really love the interior design of this place, It's cozy and kitschy and whimsical all at the same time. It's like sophisticated and child like at the same time. The staff is always helpful in making your choices. One of the places that first served the HK style egg waffles in Manila.
The menu is a balanced mix of asian and ice cream desserts with asian flavors. So we ordered the "raindrop cake" or the warabi. We tried both the sakura and the nippon variety. The warabi itself actually looked like a big drop of water on your plate. And it tastes like water too since it is tasteless. The syrup and the mochi that came with it was the one that gives the warabi its delicious flavor. On the day we went there, they ran out of the powder that came with the dish so we were compensated by extra syrup and extra adzuki red beans instead. Can't complain with that, it was still delicious. Then we tried the japadog which I guess is the ONLY savory dish in the whole menu. It's a hotdog sandwich served on an egg waffle with nori strips and japanese mayo and mustard. Also very good. The waffle is slightly sweet and the hotdog was savory. The flavors went well together. Lastly, we had the Taste of Uji with frozen yogurt. The yogurt wasn't tart at all, which somewhat disappointed me a bit. But it was a tall serving and it was still satisfying. This too had adzuki beans and small mochi bits served parfait style.
Prices are reasonable considering the high quality of the ingredients. Great place for desserts.
Took my friends here on my birthday and they took FOREVER figuring out what to order because of the extensive menu. We ordered several varieties of dessert, each one good for sharing among 2-3 people.
Although there was nothing super special about the taste of the desserts, I loved how they weren't too sweet. Everything tasted familiar. Instagram-friendly, too! I especially loved the Purple In Love, however, I took a bit of time taking so many pictures that it slowly began to melt into a syrupy puddle. Still good though! :)
A bit expensive but I recommend trying It out at least once, with a group of friends or your entire family, so you get to sample everything :)
Wow the line for The Dessert Kitchen was just sooooo long! But so happy I got try their desserts!! Tried Cocoa Kiss which was topped with their Valrhona Chocolate Ice Cream and it as so good! Purple in Love is also their best seller and it was delicious too! If you want more of a salty dessert, I suggest getting their Eggettes with bacon and melted cheese! It was the best I tried so far!
Hello, The Dessert Kitchen!
The small and quaint dessert place was very busy on a Saturday afternoon. There were only four bar stools and a table vacant when we arrived. Luckily, the table that was vacated could accommodate four.
It took us a while to order as the menu was quite extensive. Shaved ice, pudding, soft serve ice cream, eggette… name it, The Dessert Kitchen would most likely have it.
Dessert Kitchen is located at the third floor of Power Plant Mall (beside Fully Booked). The place is small and homey. The interiors scream French Villa. Earth tones, wood and fancy lighting.
I was greeted by the store manager (I assumed that she is). She was all smiles and assisted me in getting a table (two tables adjacent to each other). The server, Chit is attentive and friendly. The table i got is for four people (yes, i asked her to move one of the tables to accommodate other customers).
I ordered one of their best sellers.
Purple In Love (php 258). Kyoho Grape Seaweed Balls, grape shaved ice, mini rice balls, grapes, taro mochi ice cream.
This is one of the prettiest desserts ive seen in a while. Instagram worthy. The purple teeny tiny balls that resemble fish roe is the Kyoho Seaweed Balls. This is us tasty, each bite is an explosion in your mouth. I guess they infused them with grape flavoring or something. The rice balls reminds me of Grams' ginatan, chewy and flavorful. One thing i didn't like is the texture of the shaved ice, a lil rough, similar to the local halo-halo available across the street. They made up for the grape flavor though. Even when it's half melted it doesn't taste watered down.
I also got a glass of Green Tea Milk. This one i weally weally like. Creamy with the right amount of green tea flavor.
I am definitely coming back to try their sundaes and parfaits. Yes, the menu is crazy extensive.
The place was full when we went here so we just took our orders out. We were so curious about how the eggettes tasted so we ordered it. It was really good and the packaging is well designed that "messy" is a jargon. Haha We also ordered their mango pudding but i didn't like it's consistency coz its too liquid-y...
The place is elegantly designed. The place is neat and orderly. We chose to seat at the bar and the chairs with no back rest is comfy.
They have a huge selection of desserts and what I want I wanted to have is not available. What a disaster. Actually the entire shaved ice is not available. Then I thought of just ordering scoops of ice cream and wow the flavors I want are not offered that day. Ok fine. 😈
And so I ended up ordering Black temptation (188.00) which is OK nothing so special. It's a parfait with cocoa puffs and soft serve. The vanilla soft serve is not rich and creamy. I kinda expected it to taste like honey creme.
Cocoa kiss is better. The chocolate ice cream tasted good. The coffee jelly is ok too.
The coffee pudding is ok (as reviewed by my brother)
I got to taste the Valrhona Chocolate Soft serve, that one is rich and tasted yummy. The greentea is on the strong side and if you love GT, you will like their soft serve. Me, i liked it.
The place is worth a visit. The food presentation are all instagram worthy. They also have a plastic parfait tall cup for to go orders!
This dessert place has so many options! I don't remember if it was Korean or Japanese or Chinese but whatever it is, it tastes really good.
Ice cream has that gelato consistency and doesn't melt as fast as usual filipino ice cream selections. Eggettes (sp?) are crispy on the outside and has a surprise center.
Lovely store decor. Service is good. Product availability not so great as we were told that most of the products we wanted to order was not available. What we had instead were great though. Big servings, great for sharing.
Finally! Able to try this store. I have been waiting for a long time to be able to try this desert store.
Upon arrival, we queued for about 30min as there were a lot of people waiting in line to get their hands on their deserts. There is also a take out lane so you can eat it on the go without waiting for a table.
Upon sitting on the table, I was able to notice that they have that clean and relaxing ambiance for one to eat their deserts happily.
I ordered Jade Durian Pudding (P268) as I had just eaten my dinner. The pudding was breathtaking, so my expectations were very high. The green bowl is made of gelatin which I would say is not that good since it taste bland and does not fit with the durian when eating it together. The durian however was exactly how it taste coming from the durian fruit but a lot colder. 😄
While the name itself called out to me, the throngs of people lined up outside The Dessert Kitchen is a testament to how interesting, if not how good the place is. Well, people can't be lining up for something at least that interesting. Inside the restaurant, it felt so cozy and quaint that you quickly forget the long line right outside. They don't even try to rush you when you're finished eating. Superb customer service!
The first time we visited I prepared myself by not eating a meal before, with the belief that dessert is a complete meal in itself. We came straight from another mall (Shangrila) but we were seduced by the promise of desserts (it was just really me). Even if we had to wait in line for a couple of minutes, the server was attentive enough to address our needs. Before we were even seated, we already knew that we were going to order more than 2 things. So much to try, so little time (and tummy space). Kudos to the team for making us feel like we were royalty. We were amazed at how soon our orders arrived after we ordered (it was a jampacked Saturday evening).
The Japadog (P258) convinced my husband that it wasn't a lousy idea to not have some dinner first so it gets full marks for me.
The original Eggette with strawberry ice cream (P228) did it for me. It was a good mix of the various elements and textures and ingredients. Even if it was my first time to try it, it instantly felt like comfort food.
The Nippon Warabi (P168) was almost too pretty to eat that the husband didn't want to dig into that perfect mound. While others have said that it was a waste of money, I felt like it was a light dessert balanced by the intense matcha green tea balls. 👍🏼👍🏼
We capped that night with the Apple Cider drink and chocolate sundae goodness. Definitely coming back, for seconds, and thirds, and fourths, to infinity and beyond. So many more items to choose more.
the ambiance was cool and hip and cute too. i love the presentation of their desserts, specially the parfait.. and the price is definitely worth... but the dessert that i love most is the sakura warabe..the jelly is perfectly good, not too sweet, but it's light..same as pink rice cakes, the beans and the brown sugar,,, it's all perfect as well as the taste...it's totally delicious...i would definitely recommend this to my friends, and food buddies... and will always come back there till i complete to taste their sweet desserts..
We usually eat here after eating in Tuan Tuan or for cheat day. The Dessert Kitchen offers a variety of unique desserts and I am tempted to go back and try everything on their menu. Definitely a must try!
Food: 4.5/5
Ambiance: 4.5/5
Will Recommend: Yes
The dessert kitchen is from the same company as Tuan Tuan so I wasn't surprised when the menu consisted of chinese/taiwanese desserts. Though the name suggests freshly baked/ freshly made stuff, they offer dessert closer to ice creams and pudding than cakes.
Food: In the pictures are 2 flavors of sundaes, The Dancing Queen: Green tea ice cream, rice balls and red beans. And the Cocoa Kiss: Dark Chocolate Ice cream, cocoa crisps, Coffee Jelly.
The Dancing Queen: Im not a huge fan on green tea but my partner loved this flavor. We both agreed the ice cream was on the bitter side of the tea but the vanilla ice cream balanced out the bitter taste. The red beans gave a little crunch and texture to the sundae while the mini rice balls gave an interesting mouth feel to the entire thing.
Cocoa Kiss: this I enjoyed more because of the dark chocolate ice cream was good. I found out that the reason behind this was because they use Valrhona cocoa which is a good quality cocoa i always use for baking. I love how the cocoa crispies and the coffee jelly upped the texture of the sundae. I would appreciate this dessert more if the vanilla underneath didnt over power the bitter taste of the dark chocolate. For me the vanilla over balanced this one.
Ambience: the place reminded me of my trip in Hongkong which is a plus because its a chinese inspired dessert place. The murals and the chairs were exactly how a dessert place in Hongkong would be.
All in all, the desserts were a good option to have while passing time for the movie we were going to watch. Convenient also since its located on the same flr as the cinemas.
Ordered purple in love, matcha yogurt, the sakura jelly and waffleish hk dessert with friends. I think the purple in love is a must try among others but it's a bit sweet and syrupy. This dessert place is definitely in the expensive range. Otherwise, it is a good experience to try their desserts.
I had yet another sweet craving satisfied without the guilt with their fat free yogurt. I ordered the black & white parfait and le boyfie ordered the coffee time parfait. Black & white parfait is a combination of silken tofu, crushed marie biscuit, black sesame seeds, black mung beans and topped with a whole marie biscuit, it was a perfect representation of yin yang, crunchy-soft, bitter-sweet goodness ☯. The coffee time however gave a different taste, composed with chocolate and crushed marie, topped with a whole marie biscuit and sprinkled with coffee powder, the strong coffee flavor against that sweet marie biscuit gives you that coffee break feel to it. Both tasted great, looking forward to try more of their dessert selections 👍🏻

Was forced to have dessert first while waiting for our table at Tuantuan next door. Love the interiors. And you can see desserts being made as you enter. After a lot of deliberating we ordered the Chocolate Shaved Ice. The chocolate dark and bittersweet just as I wanted to be with generous nata, bananas and sago on the side. An order is good to be shared by two and I'm planning to go back for more.
satisfying and good as promised and the dessert as IG friendly as the ones in the menu.
Experiencing a new way of having the last course of a meal, try it at The Dessert Kitchen.
Their best-seller was served to us first that gave our taste buds a whole lot of different experience. As the rest of our orders came, we then appreciate each one and is quite good though. The ambiance and food presentation is definitely an Instagram-worthy yet it is not something special... The price range is quite high for such sweet treats... But I will definitely come back here to try and experience other specialties. ❤️
Interesting desserts but nothing special. I tried one of their best-sellers, the Chocolate Lovers waffle(?), but the flavor of chocolate and the dryness of the waffle didn't go well for me. It just tasted like dry chocolate, which was weird.
Long queues of dessert lovers always linger right outside Dessert Kitchen especially on weekends. But thou shall not fret, for the wait is worth it.
Initially I got disappointed because their bestseller Purple In Love was not available that day. Instead, I ordered a similar dessert but with a different flavor, Blueberry Kiss, and a sundae called Cocoa Kiss. It seems like they have a penchant for the word 'kiss' in naming their desserts. Anyway, I found Blueberry Kiss refreshing due to the shaved ice and blueberry juice. But apart from that, I didn't find anything special with it. Cocoa Kiss, on the other hand, is sheer goodness. It tastes as good as it looks. Chocolate ice cream, coffee jelly, banana and rice crispies. I couldn't ask for more.
Their price range may not be very likable. A bit pricey, at least in a student's perspective. But to compensate for the price, another thing I like about Dessert Kitchen is their interior. The design on the walls is a very pleasing sight. It makes the place perfect for hanging out and catching up with friends. So, will I go back? Hmm, yes, maybe.
The question on people's mind: The Dessert Kitchen is hip but is it worth it?
The award winning Purple in Love (💜) is incontestably delicious but some of its other offerings like the parfait is nothing different than what is offered in other dessert shoppes.
Interesting concept on desserts. Kinda pricey but their desserts offer a unique dining experience. Taste wise however, nothing special to whatever they serve.
This place is a pot of gold for all desserts lovers out there. From the popular egg waffles (eggettes) in Hong Kong to Korea's bing su to Japan's raindrop cake, the dessert kitchen will sure bring you to a dessert fantasy which all sweet tooths dreamed of. With the wide variety of asian desserts they serve, you'd be surprise on how they still manage to serve every dessert like an art. My personal fave is their Kyoho Grape hard Ice cream, though very basic, was verrryy creamy and flavorful. Their staff (I think we accidentally talked to one of the owners when making our choices on what to pick) were very accommodating too because they carefully explained every dessert we asked (with their wide choices of desserts, you won't imagine how much we have asked lol). The queue was just quite long because if a lot of other foodies wanting to try their desserts, but it's all worth it!
