Their eggs benny is pure heaven!! Tried both their smoked salmon and apple-wood smoked bacon and both are bursting with flavor! To end our meal, ordered their fluffy pancake which rivals even the supposedly best pancake establishments in the area. Will definitely be back again and again ....
Love the place. Love the design.
The food looks amazing.
Would recommend this place in makati
Defo one of the best resto bars in the metro. I love the owners and staffs as they are so friendly and accommodating. The food is very good. Worth the price. :) The ambiance is very chill and cozy. Recommending this place to the highest level to everyone who is into chill and cozy vibes.
Highly recommended!
Perfect hangout place after a stressful day. The cozy ambiance perfectly compliments their delectable food. I love their Fish and Shrimp Nasi Goreng, and Chashu Alfredo— a must try.
Kudos to the staffs including the owners for personally delivering an impeccable service.
Very nice cozy place definitely worth the stay! Check this place out! Good food and music!
Amazing food, Friendly staff, Awesome music. Great place to hangout...
The place was awesome! Love everything there!! Definitely my new fave spot.
I love this hotel I always go this place everytime , but I hate that waitress ask for a tips even you didn’t billout yet why they should do that 😐
We came to Hops & Brews for a holiday gathering of friends and family of about 20, and I'm so glad we did! The food was delicious, and the service was amazing! I'm a little late in writing the review, but I wanted to make sure I did since the folks there were so nice and accommodating for our larger group. They were also very helpful with choosing a variety of tasty dishes for our picky group. Everyone was full and happy!! Thank you so much Hops & Brews!! I'm definitely recommending this place to friends!!
Great Sunday night hangout spot. Awesome music with the best people..
Amazing food, quality beers available and friendly staff. Love this place!
Pretty much every thing you’d need in the city. Perfect location, Great drinks, food, and even Accomodating waiters and even the owners.
Will comeback for sure!
Amazing vibes, awesome music, good food, prime location.. 👌
Great place to have lunch on a busy day in makati!
Perfect place to hang out and have drinks!
Located next to the Lobby of I'm Hotel this easy going Restaurant still gives you a Kind of luxury Feeling, but the Prices are not too high. There Steak was About 1600 Pesos and was really delicious for the fact that it is not a dedicated steakhouse, but more a pub. At the evening it is also fun to go there just for a beer, even it is more expensive than other places in the area. But the good thins is, that it is never too crowded so I will come back for sure :D
HOPS & BREWS
I'M HOTEL, Poblacion, 7862 Makati Ave, Makati City
Hops & Brews is a gastropub known for its uniquely rich foods served with great drinks too, plus they have different events or themes each night which you can choose from.
The place looks cool and classy with the combination of cool and warm lighting and the fusion of colors thru decors and dark wooden tables and chairs. The Couch is certainly the best place to relax with their matching warm colored pillows.
Servers are also attentive as they immediately accommodated us, served us water and gave the menu once we have been seated.
Their “The Super-Bowl 280 Lunch” is a must try, budget meals where you get to have real food. It includes a choice of 1 Main Dish + Soup + Salad + Iced Tea (all that for only P280 )
THE FOOD:
Main Dishes:
SQUID INK SEAFOOD RICE 5/5
Squid Ink Rice Sautéed with white fish and squid

Also pureed to perfection, this soup has the real thing in it. Also a must try for soup lovers

Makati is one of the busiest business centers of Manila and we can’t deny that it is one of the foodie havens for quite a time, especially Poblacion. It has been a fave hangout place for those seeking great food, great beer and drinks and of course, great company! We know that Poblacion is bustling with many nooks and go-to spaces for eating but not a lot opens before 5pm since most establishments cater the night crowd.
What is your favorite meal of the day? Me, I love breakfast anytime of the day. But being a midshift worker for almost 7 years now, I don't have a proper breakfast everyday. Breakfast and lunch ('brunch') is what I usually eat. What is a perfect lunch? Well, anything with rice on it will suffice (atleast for me) and of course it should be affordable too.
They serve interesting dishes hinting at a fusion of Western and Asian cuisine. A good place for dinner and drinks if you like live entertainment but might be a bit too dark and too lively if you prefer some quiet. The tables by Makati Avenue are nice for people-watching!
While waiting for a conference to start I saw this cozy looking cafe at the lobby of IM hotel. Thought of just ordering a cup of Joe and I realized they served the ever indulgent "Yema Cake" so I said what the heck I might as well get a slice and I did.
The yema cake was interesting because it was a "pastry of paradoxes" if there was one. Now let me explain this (at this point youre probably aching to exit the app) as I drove my fork through the yema cake there were 3 layers of coarseness and sweetness. The taste graduation was that the deeper you drove your fork through the cake the less sweet the cake got, this is then contrary to the texture progression in which the further you sliced through the cake the less coarse the texture becomes. All of this contained in a single spoonful becomes an explosion of escalating taste and textures inside your mouth ( I hope that didnt come out as inappropriate). The cake is rich and dense so unless youre a really big sweet tooth Its doubtful if youll get through one slice.
The only thing that is stopping me from upgrading my rating was the fact that I was reminded of how expensive Yema Cake was upon receiving my bill.
On the Ground Floor of I’M Hotel in Poblacion, Makati City is Hops and Brews. It’s the kind of place where they offers great drinks in a chill atmosphere. Besides all your favorite beer on tap, they offer specialty coffees based on single origin beans and classic cocktails.
First up, their Longga Nachos (PHP 250) are chock-full of everything great about nachos–and more!
The 5 Cheese Flatbread (PHP 320) is every cheese lover’s favorite snack. It’s made with Mozzarella, cheddar, feta, kefalotyri and parmigiano cheeses with a touch of garlic baked on top of house-leavened dough. Simply addictive!
The Shrimp and Fish Tempura (PHP 425) is probably the crunchiest dish I’ve ever had. Literally everything on this dish is crunchy, even the deep fried fan of noodles! Aside from the massive crunch level, the shrimp and fish are both big and meaty.
The Hainanese Fried Chicken (PHP 485) is deliciously crunchy Singaporean style fried chicken served with ginger fried rice with a thoughtful selection of sweet, spicy, and ginger sauce.
Reminiscent of comfort food during my college days, this Mac & Cheese (PHP 365) turns everything up to eleven with huge rigatoni smothered with a mix of cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan and kefalotyri (Greek cheese made of goat/sheep milk) cream sauce, and applewood smoked bacon.
The Sardinas Aglio Olio (PHP 355) is simple, yet surprisingly delivers complex texture and taste. It’s easily one of the go-to dishes you should try at Hops and Brews.
For drinks, we were served Virgin Madras, a sour cloudy blend that makes for a great pick-me-up the morning after.
Dessert was a real treat for us that day for we were blessed with Pilmico‘s signature cakes. Our favorite of the three is the Pastillas De Leche Cheesecake. The pastillas balls on top of the cake complemented the shimmering, moist, mild caramel layers.
Their Blackout Cake is extremely moist and stays that way for a long while after serving.
The Strawberry Creme looks sweet and inviting. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try it.
Let me tell you about this Gastropub in Poblacion. YES! In Poblacion. NO, I am not going to rave about another “artsy”, “cute”, and “IG worthy”. Let the other platforms do that for you. I want to share a worthwhile gastronomic experience I had with Hops & Brews. Located at the Ground Floor in the chic and new I’M Hotel along Makati Avenue, Hops & Brewsbrings its own inimitable and inventive take of global familiar flavors. Their food is modern and progressive, but the element that we fell in love with is that they’re able to keep the taste of comfort with each dish that we had.
Hops & Brews is one of those restaurants that can give you that “Aha!” moment. Finally, meal selections with proper flavors, serving size, and thoughtful execution of the owners and their roster of brilliant young chefs.
They carefully look into what the global street food is doing, pop-ups, and what fine dining to classical is doing and they’ve used bits and pieces that are relevant.
WHY GO?
Sprouted from Makati’s hidden gem and sexy neighborhood Poblacion. Traditionally, it was known for years as a red-light district, Poblacion is trading its spunky reputation for seediness and skewing itself to be a place where cool is redefined. Heavily wheeled by white-collar Filipinos and expats, they infiltrate the mushrooming dining and drinking scene. Hops & Brew’s beautiful space and excellent menu roster is a great addition to the Poblacion scene where you can actually sit down and enjoy your meal or perhaps a glass or two of your drink of choice.
You have the very traditional elements on their menu which are then totally modernized, which is the way a lot of gastropubs operate – But Hops & Brews takes traditional and build on it, creating what we have which is a mixture of fine dining, pub food, and ultimately still retaining the emotional connection that we have with food which is; COMFORT.

Hainanese Fried Chicken? Why, yes it exists. And it could just be a couple of blocks away from you! . Hello, Hops & Brews. . Located at the ground floor of the posh I'M Hotel, Hops & Brews has become a favorite hang out place of the hotel's guests and patrons as well as locals who frequent the area.

One of the underrated restos in Poblacion area. Honestly, we were not expecting much from this place because only two tables were occupied when we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised that everything we ordered were tasty and in good portions.
Chashu Alfredo (P420) -- The runny egg surprisingly added flavor to the dish. Go ahead and mix it in!
The Full Brekkie (P380) -- Good amount of protein on a plate.
Fish and Shrimp Nasi Goreng (P400) -- Not a standout but neither a bad choice too.
Staff are attentive and warm. They even gave us free desserts when we answered a survey for their resto. :)
Amazing experience from great ambiance to delectable food.Best night to go is their acoustic night when you can enjoy the food, drinks as well as the music.
Asian flavors with a twist from their fried hainanese chicken, nasi goreng to chicken karaage to my ultimate favorite the keso fundido...
i wish i had this food everyday...try everything on the menu u will like everything
Not a bad option for drinks and barchow while in Poblacion.
Good selection of beers and cocktails.
Chimichuri Hummus with Pita was good. Kinda like Lebanese meets Mexican!
Philly Cheese Samosas were ok.
Chicken Tikka Masala was disappointing with the chicken being unmarinated and bland. Would've been better if we didn't substitute chicken in place of chickpeas.
Hops and Brews, located inside the 5 star I'M hotel in Poblacion, doubles as both a cafe during the day and a bar at night stocked with an extensive coffee and cocktail options. The restaurant is fairly new but you can already enjoy dishes from an all day, full restaurant menu as well - more on those later. The restaurant opens from dawn (8am) till dusk (2am) so guests can opt to spend the entire day at Hops and Brews, enjoying a warm cup of Cortado in the morning with a Longganisa Burger and then capping off the night with the finely crafted Copper 47.
It's difficult to categorize the type of cuisine they serve because the only common theme between dishes is flavor - expect quality food but at slightly steep prices. They serve a range of international favorites from Japanese-style Chicken Karaage, Spanish Callos, and even the Filipino-inspired 'Shalang Pares.
Here's a bit more on our Hops and Brews experience....
Perfect place to enjoy life if Makati's stress is getting into you. Speakeasy bar that gives a full satisfaction in terms of food, drinks and ambience. Be with friends, or be alone ( yep! I was a lone ranger) this oasis in the mid of a bustling city can shake off your worries.
Torched Salmon is perfect if you wanna cheat a lil bit in your diet. It will give you the right amount of protein and carbo that you need.
Being a sweet tooth, I can't let the night pass without having dessert. The Matcha Ice cream dessert made me remember Japan all of the sudden. Perfect to conclude your gastronomic desire.

Hops & Brews is a cafe that turns to a speakeasy bar at night, situated along Makati Ave, in I'm Hotel. With a long list of beers and cocktails with great food match is a consideration for this place.
The whole kitchen team was brilliant to create their 'best of the worlds' menu that offers a mix of everything.
We started of with the Lamb Keso Fundido, Chicken Karaage, and Gambas Al Ajillo. The Lamb Keso Fundido was my favorite for the appetizer. Lamb ragout cooked to just perfectly soft then topped with bechamel and cheese. We finished cleaning the whole plate with its bread. The Gambas and Karaage was the usual, but the karaage was fried to crisp, served with a soy mayo dip that made it a nice bar chow.
Pork Belly Croissants was their French inspired Pork Cuapao bun, but in a croissant. The pork was braised to the point that the fat was gelatinous topped with pickled veggies. It lacks a bit of the pickled veggies that would make it a Banh Mi x Cuapao x Croissant sandwich.
Sardines Aglio Olio is as simple as it is. No frills, perfectly seasoned pasta tossed in olive oil, garlic, and Spanish sardines.
Galbi Jjim is another highlight. Super soft Beef Short Ribs over Kimchi Rice. The beef was slightly on the sweeter side, but braised tender and perfectly balanced with the kimchi rice.
'Shalang Pares is another upscaled Pares. Perfectly cooked pares accompanied with roasted garlic and roasted bone marrow. It's their way of presenting a late night snack of pares in bulalo, served with rice on the side.
They also served world class desserts both their own concoctions and from the hotel. Try the cheesecake, its the BEST!
With the culinary scene in Makati has been going up and continue to brew up some new concept, Hops and Brews is here to give you a taste of the world.

On the Ground Floor of I’M Hotel in Poblacion, Makati City is Hops and Brews–the kind of spot where you just want to grab a seat next to a stranger and hear him tell tales of his life or anything under the sun. We can spend hours here drinking beer and cocktails such as the Swizzle (made with Tanqueray Gin and Absinthe), Hanky Panky (mix of Ketel One Vodka, Pineapple Juice, Lime Juice, and Vanilla extract), Mojito, Martini (stirred not shaken), and Margarita. The cocktails are progressive but the whisky list is equally worthy of consideration. The top-notch food is an added bonus, and includes local and international favourites.

It is never too early in the work week to enjoy dinner and cocktails with friends.😊 If you're looking for a new place to just chill while waiting for Makati traffic to wind down, then may I recommend @hopsandbrews located at the ground floor of the @imhotelph?
I'M Hotel is located at the corner of Makati Avenue and Kalayaan Avenue. I and my foodie friends from @thefoodcrawlers got to sample the menu recently. I loved the Galbi Jim, and the Mac and Cheese with applewood-smoked bacon. And the flourless chocolate cake is the best I've had in a very VERY long while.
