Their pub is humongous! I can imagine how lively this place could look at night but during our visit, mid-afternoon, it was very laidback, relaxing, and spacious. TVs were everywhere and it was my first time to watch a triathlon. Western-Asian cuisine here.
Adobo Dirty Rice
The last time I heard of dirty rice was at a buffalo wings restaurant. Their version has chicken liver that is super good but I couldn't have too much of it. I generally love chicken liver so this was an interesting approach.
Bangers & Mash
Mashed Potatoes were out-of-this-world amazing, having a very, very fine texture and delicious flavor. Seriously, two of us saved it for last! The sausage was good too! It had cheese inside so I advise cutting the thing gently; cheese flew in the air like Angry Birds and landed on my cellphone, the pig!
Lechon Ala Tomas
Skin crunched at every bite! For the sauce, think Mang Tomas with a little extra. Meat was perfectly soft with minimal fat. No-frills.
Tinola for the Soul
I just loved seeing all those vegetables! The view somehow justified having lechon in the first place. Broth was amazing and we kept on slurpin'!
Wonton Nachos
This was my favorite even though the chips looked so fried. If you're a fan of those chips usually placed on top of congee, hold that thought and SLAM some amazing cheese and pork on top. There, and it was wonderful! These are best consumed as early as possible if you want most of them to stay crispy.
Suggestions
If you want to explore their food, I strongly suggest going as a group so you can all share and taste more stuff. Servings are pretty big for only two customers. If I'll watch a Manny Pacquiao fight outside, this will be my top choice in Metro Manila.

Good job mga kuya waiter and Chef Ghie! That is what you call Stellar Customer Service! Kudos!
#IncredibleMediaChristmasParty
Awesome food especially their beef, medium rare to perfection! The crew is very attentive, ambiance is great and most of all, they care for you even at 3AM! Highly recommended to celebrate, dine especially if you're at the heart of Makati.
This place is great! Awesome crowd, nice place, goid assortment of draft beers. Definitely my new bar of choice.
Great place to be , I love the vibe, the service is great , music is always good and the drinks Amazing.
Sinigang Pork Belly is heavenly!
B&D burger is superb! Add fried egg and bacon.
Fish N Chips is bloody brilliant!
The ribeye beef, omigish, melts in your mouth and flavourful!
You got to walk through the wardrobe and enjoy the bar
had a great night with my friends and family. i love this place. it never disappoints!!!!
My favorite place in the world.
Good food and service is superb. I could say this is one of the best place i have been to.
Superb!!! Excellent service! Nice ambience
This is my 3rd time dining here, have tried different dishes - everything is great!
Ps - the kare kare was so good that we had to order another one! Will be back soon again!
Went for Skill Bill trivia on Tuesday night at 7:30/8pm. Had so much fun! 2 Drunk Girls were great hosts and Rocky was a wonderful server.
FYI for other foreigners, trivia is in English and very broad in topics (so don't worry about not being Filipino). Highly recommend the veggie mini tacos! Also be sure to ask about the speakeasy ;)
Located in a busy street of Carlos Palanca, Makati. The Belle and Dragon not only is a great place to have some drinks after office hours, they also serve really great food. Here’s what we had:. Wanton Nachos – The very tender ground pork taste so good with crispy Wanton topped with Mozarella and Cheddar Cheese. The Hoisin Sour Cream Slaw and Sriracha Aioli Sauce are perfect combo.
This place is more alive in the evening. Since it's lunch time - I can tell you that in our visit it's quiet. We were seated outside - fresh air. The foods were served after 15-20 minutes.
We ate a lot but I only have a chance to take the picture of " The Wurst Threesome" - it's composed of Cervelet sausage, Veal Bratwurse, Beef Banger, Red cabbage, Sauerkraut and Potato Mash.
I went there just for a small snack with my friends. I had the Wanton Nachos and they were great. Cooked to perfection and also the portion was big. Service was professional, but maybe a lil bit slow. Luckily we had enough time at this evening.
What we had:
- Salt & pepper calamari
- Grilled chicken salad
- Lechon sinigang
- Uh-huh Honey Chicken
Loved everything. The calamari was flavorful, the salad had more meat than I expected, the sinigang was as sour as I wanted.
Although what really stood out for me was the Uh-huh Honey Chicken. The biscuit that came with the dish went so well with the meat. Love it!
Perfect place to meet friends. The airconditioned room is a good place for fine-dining or celebrating an occasion with friends. The outside area is a good place to watch games and cheer loudly with colleagues and friends. Service is okay. Ambience in both areas are also good; chill yet inviting. Prices of food are also okay. Food choices are wide and they’re all delicioso.
Was only supposed to give a 3.0, but service was spot on as the fish & chips I ordered were bland, oily and a little bit overcooked to my preference,
And they housed Comedy Manila on a Monday night, so overall, nice experience and can always give them a chance on food, hoping they improve.
Went here to watch Comedy Manila and we really had fun! Ordered B&D burger, curry calamari and kung pow chicken, all were okay, satisfied our tummies. The acoustic singer was really good tho. Nice ambience, perfect for date night or just hanging out with friends.
They have Fast Service and really good food. BartendER was very Friendly and accommodating. I definitely would want to Go back and try dishes. There were some dish on the Menu That wasnt able though.
Had a reunion with my med school friends last tuesday and tuesday is the best night to be here coz its game night, you get to meet and play with other people. Food, drink and service deserves more than 5 stars
This used to be my go-to for afternoon/evening drinks because they have a good selection of beer, awesome nachos, and great staff! Waiters are attentive and knowledgeable with their menu and offer alternatives that match your taste.
I also tried other items on their menu and they did NOT disappoint. I would definitely recommend this place for an indulgent hangout with friends.

Repeating my review to make it 140 words. Okay so, I really love their sausage platter and also their drinks. It is one of the best pubs in legazpi village area also, their nachos are really good. They have consistent quality and service that is why I always comeback here.
Classy interior, fine menu, and wide selection of drinks. Plus an A+ service! It was indeed a perfect hub for sport fanatic foodies!
Sisig and sinigang are must-try!

The Belle and Dragon, located at the hidden streets of Legaspi Village in Makati city, is a British-style pub offering great food, draft beers, and an extensive wine selection. They are known for their “East Meets Pub” concept where they take classic bar dishes and transform them by adding their very own twist to it. The originality of their dishes as well as it’s top-to-bottom appealing interiors is what makes this place stand out and definitely worth its visit.
It was the week of Valentine’s day and I had dinner at the The Belle and Dragon by surprise. I have been reading reviews about this place for months and was always tempted to try the food that they had to offer and at last, I’m glad to say that I finally managed to visit the place thanks to the most amazing person in my life.
As we entered the pub, we were brought to our reserved table and were given both the food and drink menu. We browsed through their food menu first and I decided to go for a sandwich called, “The Colonel” which is a crispy fried chicken sandwich, while my partner went for the Asian style “Grilled Chicken Salad”. Afterwords, we browsed through their drink menu and just ended up with a glass of red wine from their list of extensive wine selections.
〰️ The Colonel 〰️ (380 php)
[ Crispy fried chicken + house made pickles + shredded lettuce + onion leeks + house made ranch all in a lightly toasted sesame bun]
- “The sandwich came with your choice of chips or fries, however, I ended up substituting regular potato fries with sweet potato fries since I’m a big fan of sweet potatoes in general. First of all, serving size is enough for what it costs. Presentation-wise, it was okay too. Maybe if it was served on a wooden board it’d looked better since it would have fit better with the overall theme of the place, however, that isn’t the main priority so that’s okay. I came for the taste and I’m happy to say that the food was tasty. The sweetness of the bread together with the saltiness of the juicy fried chicken patty and the acidity from the house made pickles were a match made in heaven. The melody of flavors worked so well that you wouldn’t get tired of its taste every time you take a new bite. The shredded lettuce and onion leeks on the other hand, didn’t really play much of a role on flavor, however it did on texture. I suggest maybe adding a lot more vegetable fix-ins next time to balance the carb-protein-vegetable ratio. Next would be the thick cut sweet potato fries. It wasn’t crispy on the outside as I expected, but I did enjoy the softness of each fry as I sinked my teeth into it. The balance of salty and sweet was just too good that the crispness did not matter to me anymore, and to have it with their house made ranch at the same time just makes me the happiest person alive.”
〰️ Grilled Chicken Salad 〰️ (350 php)
[Mixed greens + ginger teriyaki chicken + crisp wonton strips + peanuts + sesame vinaigrette]
- “I wasn’t able to taste this dish but for 350 php, serving size was quite little for a salad.”
Overall, the food was very good. My only concern would be the serving time since our food took quite a while to arrive. Despite the slow service however, I was still happy because of the friendly and accommodating staff that assisted us well on that special night. We ended our meal with their “on the house” cocktail which made the night even better for me.
Overall, The Belle and Dragon is definitely a place I would want to come back to not only because of its wide range of interesting food choices, but also because of their extensive selection of wines and beers being taken care of by their wonderful staff.
Service is superb. Me and my friend went here to enjoy ourselves and we’re not disappointed :) The masala mac n cheese is consistently good. Their draft beer selection has a lot of variety. I will come back to try other items on their menu.
Very nice ambiance! Perfect for date or even quick meeting. Food taste was extremely delicious! :)
Price is okay!!! Very affordable. But thanks to Eatigo, we were able to dine in with a 50% off on our bill. :)
We will probably go back to this place soon!
Good ambiance and not too loud music. The beer selection was great however it takes a while for a refill. Overall will go back here to enjoy a weekend drink
Nachos were the bomb. My favorite drink was "No regrets" which turned out to be a backstabber. Their food menu is also filled with amazing comfort food. Chicken with Biscuits and their Sinigang are my go-to faves. Perfect place for after office gatherings. There's a secret speakeasy too!
I’ve always loved Belle but I love it more now for the Skill Bill game night! Had so much fun with my friends. Food and drinks are on point as always, personal drink of choice is Lucy Liu 😉
Super loved the ambience and food at The Belle & Dragon! If you want to maximize your 2+2 drinks at Zomato, this is definitely one of the places you should claim it. Their 2+2 promo can be used for pint of beers! It’s going to be enough to keep you all night. My boyfriend got super tempted to purchase a membership because it was sulit
It’s my first time here, but I’m recommending their Wanton Nachos (unique and great pulutan food!) and the B&D sisig. Servings are big so two orders already going to be enough for two people. :)
If you have more cash with you and you’re willing to spend it, there’s a secret whisky bar inside the resto. One drink is going to cost you a ton though!
I love the Belle and Dragon. The staff is very attentive and the food might be a bit expensive but servings are good and the overall flavor of all of their dishes is great.
Come over for lots of fun on Tuesdays for games night and Thursday for the Music Trivia which is always so fun.
Cocktails range from reasonable priced to exclusive drinks, all very well prepared and detailed by the friendly bartenders.
They also have a wide selection of the best beers.
Love all the times I've hung out here. Great service. Good music. Nice interiors. Food's alright -- you may opt to eat in the nearby restaurants. Come here for a few drinks with friends.
Cool place to hang out after office. Good range of food and beverage. Slightly pricey but the food tastes good! They have al fresco area and they are pet friendly.
Came here to celebrate a birthday dinner. We instantly loved the chill and friendly vibe. It was around 9pm so a lot of people were around. Had to wait for a table so reservations are very helpful.
If you aren't seated, prepare to be "pushed around" due to the lack of space and people trying to squeeze around. It's understandable, though!
Once we got inside, we took a while to appreciate the interior. Ooh, old looking books. Ooh, random stuff. Ooh - wait - a katana!? There were also a lot of TVs with different sports channels on. My friends and I settled over watching the rodeo (that's a sport?) while rooting for the bull.
Now, the food was pretty good. We had Wanton Nachos, Bangers and Mash, Lamb Sisig... The Lamb sisig for me is alright. It's more on the wet side of sisig. The Bangers and Mash were really good (wanton nachos too). The mashed potato was very smooth and creamy. The caramelized onions were a plus too. Oh and the garlic rice side dish is divine.
Of course, we had a few drinks. My friend ordered a pint of beer and seemed to really enjoy it. I had the Lucy Liu which is pretty good. (And I didn't order it just coz I'm Asian!) Great if you want something to drink but on the lighter side.
By around 10pm, it starts to get pretty loud and there's a DJ. It got all dark and TUGSH TUGSH TUSGH. A lot of people love that I'm sure but I'm a peace and quiet kinda guy so we had to head out soon. (The rest of the day should be quiet. Not sure if the DJ is a weekend thing)
But on an interesting sidenote, my friend thinks the DJ's cute. :P
Overall, we really liked our experience there and we'll be sure to come back at a quieter time. Thanks for having us over!
A very nice place to watch any sports game! Usually very packed if there is an event! Very friendly staff and good service! Their food is also good too.
Belle and dragon is a great chill place. Usually they would have dj playing cool songs but it tends to be loud when you're sitting inside. So my tip is that you sit outside if your have important discussions with friends...
We ordered several items but i forgot to take pictures of other food. Attached is the grilled pork chop (sorry looks messy) but tastes good with a little spiciness. Luckily we got the 2+2 drinks from zomato so we ordered "no regrets" cocktail which is sugary with calamansi flavor and "bombay" which is a chill gin drink.
I remember they also have some game night, so check it out.
Delicious food and big servings! One of my favorite places in Legaspi Village. Very fun to visit on Thursdays because of the Quiz Night. I also recommend going to Mandalay afterwards.
The place is great! The food is delicious. I'm not really a nachos type of person but the Wanton Nachos are just too good. Add in a couple of drinks and enjoy! 👍
Review as of February 2019
Part bar, part restaurant, part speakeasy.
The Belle & Dragon is a bit of everything and happily manages to pull it off quite well. The feel of the restaurant is something straight out of a different place and a different time. The food is quite delicious--I have heard that one of the owners studied at Enderun--and this place shouldn't be passed off as "just another bar with terrible food"
Dishes I've tried here, recommendations are marked with a star (🌟):
- Mozza Bites 🌟
- Chili-Cheese Chips
- B&D Sisig 🌟
- Smoked Chicken Adobo
Belle & Dragon is a good place for drinks, quiz nights, and even lunch! Their Wanton Nachos are the best (sorry no photo)! For drinks I always have the Lucy Liu or Hoegaarden Rosee. For more highend drinks, you can drop by their speakeasy, Mandalay. B&D food can also be served there.
Visited The Belle & Dragon for the first time to participate in their Thursday Throwdown weekly trivia night.
It was disappointing at first - our reservation wasn't received since the contact numbers indicated on their event page was wrong. Their staff was accommodating and waitlisted us. Fortunately, one group cancelled their reservation so we got a table.
The pub had a very chill and laidback vibe. Our group of eight only ordered varieties of beer (+ Zomato Gold privilege) and a serving of their Wonton Nachos (which was really good!) since we already had dinner elsewhere prior, but what I really appreciated and would like to commend is their prompt and excellent service. Looking forward to going back and trying their other food offers.
I've been here many times because of the wonderful quiz show that happens every Tuesday. All of the staff are polite. The dark green and wooden interiors accentuates its sportsbar-like personality.
The lamb sisig with garlic rice is heavenly. I ordered a Cardi B cocktail because I love Cardi B and the drink had a late-game effect, which is akin to the songs by Cardi B herself. I forgot the other drink I had but it has "Asian" on its description.
Definitely going here again and I hope my friends and I win the quiz!
The food was great. Ambiance and music is good. Drinks are expensive. But overall great place to chill. I will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to my friends.
This Zomato Gold promo was perfect for a great Tuesday trivia night. My friends and I had several amazing cocktails. Kudos to the bartenders! 🤙
One of the well-known bars in Makati. It was my first time here and wasn't dissapointed. I recommend trying out their sisig. Their cocktails are also delicious my personal favorite is the Asian Blush. 💓 If you don't wanna sit outdoors I suggest reserving a table before going as the place gets book but their outdoor vibe was also alright but it gets hot or humid.
One of my favorite restaurants in Makati - great food, friendly servers, and chill atmosphere. This time around, we ordered the scotch eggs (amazing appetizer), pork schnitzel, and crispy skin salmon. Can definitely recommend the scotch eggs. Well done eggs, coated with creamy batter, deep-fried to golden brown, and then served on a bed of tomato purée? Yes please. Pork schnitzel was so-so. Too much breading for my liking. Crispy skin salmon will always be my classic order. Love the contrast of uber crispy skin with the soft salmon meat.
Ordered the B&D Sisig, which I would say is unique in its own class of sisig because of the added flavors of ginger and vinegar. The richness of the fatty pork was well-complemented by the different herbs, and the unlimited rice that came with it helped mitigate the "oily" feeling. Still delicious and would recommend! The place is perfect for evening drinks, but lunch with friends and officemates don't feel out of place despite the "bar" ambiance.
I love this place! The food and the drink are definitely a must-try! Especially their nachos and sisig! Also, loved the cheesecake!! The servers were all so accommodating. The wine price is definitely worth it.
NEVER EVER leave this place without trying their Wanton Nachos— it’ll change your life. We’re also always here for their music quiz nights every Thursday and it’s the most fun you can have with your friends on a Thursday night.
Great selection of local and imported craft beers. We ordered the sausage platter which had 3 kinds of sausages and potatoes and sauerkraut on the side. Really good! Service was excellent. 👍
Was also able to use my Zomato Gold membership for the beers. Love it! Sulit!

📍 The Belle & Dragon is definitely one of the best GastroPub in Makati ❤ The foods are delicious and the service is superb!
FOODS : 💯❤
Scotch Egg - Amazing! 💯 recomended as starter. It is a boiled egg wrapped with delicious ground meat
The B&D burger - 💯 My boyfriend love this burger! The angus beef is superb
Pork Schnitzel - 💯I ate this with rice. Tasty meat!
Opps I dropped the berry pie - We are so full, since the servings are also huge so when its time for the dessert, the dessert taste good but me and my boyfriend find it ordinary or maybe we are just full
AMBIANCE : CLEAN, SPACIOUS, Classy Vibe 💯
SERVICE : 💯 They are so attentive and really knows how to get a long with customers. There is another foreign customer and staffs have a little chit chat with the guest. They look cool and friends!
VALUE FOR MONEY - I use EATIGO to have 50% disc. Some foods on the menu is pricey but the servings is huge and taste delicious. So with or without EATIGO this place is worth it and still sulit

Love the salmon mains! Food is on the pricey side but the taste, texture, presentation and ambience of the place make up for it. Good date place if you come late in the afternoon.
Bell And Dragon’s Quiz Nights are Amazing! Party with them on Thursdays for the Thursday Throwdown or if you’re up for a mind bending Skill Bill challenge, then visit them on Tuesdays!
I don't know what's not to love about this place. The food is delicious, the service is amazing, everything is just perfect. My boyfriend and I always order Sinigang and Palanca Pares for the unli rice hahaha. It's fancy but it doesn't break the bank! Perfect for date nights.
Good food. Great ambience.
My friends & I visited on a Friday night without booking a table. There were no available seats inside so we were temporarily accommodated outside. (Halfway through our meal, we were accommodated inside.)
We ordered three meals: Honey Hot Sauce Wings, Curry Calamari and Bangers & Mash. The servings were huge and we loved our food. I personally liked the Wings because the sauce is on the side and it comes with a bleu cheese dip. Also, the taste of the curry in calamari is just right.
Great service! One of the orders arrived late and afterwards, the bartender gave us free shots.
On the other hand, their cocktails were okay. I wanted to try Date Night but sadly it wasn’t available. Thus, we ordered Asian Blush instead.
Wanton Nachos are a must try. Kung Pao Chicken and Go Chang wings as well.
Cocktails are good. The usual San Mig beers are not served here but they have draft beers and other imported beers instead.
Very friendly staff. They remember you and your preferences.
I always had a good dining experience here because first the staff are nice and the food that I always get I enjoyed it everytime. I also like the ambiance esp when they have the live gig. Def a place to go with friends after work to just chill and have a good time.
I really love the atmosphere and feel of this place. The food and drinks are also great, and the crew is very accommodating. Wish there were more pubs like this in the area.
First time we tried here coz there was a promo. We ordered the Lechon Sinigang, Country Omurice , Wake me Up and Palanca Pares (not in the photo). I didn't get to taste the omurice so can't critic on that. Wake me Up was food...there's definitely a kick to it and the herbs on the side definitely put a freshness to your palette. The Lechon Sinangang by taste you would know that it was made fresh not from those grocery packets. The vegeatables on the dish was cooked right. Since I don't eat Pares so not sure how it would taste like but for me I like how it taste...maybe putting mash potato to soak up the broth was a bad idea but with rice, I like it.
This is my first time to try this restaurant, thanks to the invitation from Zomato. For starters, I enjoyed the tomato soup; it is better than most tomato soups I have tried in other restaurants. The Double D burger is worth every centavo. It is quite a stack and the ingredients in it go well together. I highly recommend that you order the Bangers and Mash; the bratwurst is so delicious. I also highly recommend the very flavorful Lamb Sisig, but it is best to eat it when it is newly cooked. This was also my first time to try deviled eggs, the ingredients highly complemented each other. The B & D Crispy Pata is also a good choice for sharing; you can choose to dip it in 4 kinds of sauces. When you dine here, do ask the baristas to share the story behind some of the drinks. :) This is a good place to unwind after office hours.
@maniladiningdiary
We discovered this place last Christmas 2017. The drinks are good. They have a different take on Kung Pao Chicken everything is fried. The crisps are to die for. The service is good. Nowadays, we like to hangout there on Sunday evenings.
I have been to belle and dragon a couple of times, and it is always full. I have never tried thier food but it looks delicious!been there with my friends drinking, it has a cool vibe for hanging out and drinking liquor while chilling

I believe the ambiance would be a little more appreciated if there was more lighting. But the bar is Very chill so, it’s really good. We also loved the ‘No Regrets’ cocktail. It was a cocktail to last you for about 4 hours of subtle tipsiness that you won’t need liquor until the alcohol simmers down. So, worth it!
Our youngest son invited us over for his birthday to Belle and Dragon. I've heard a lot of good things about this pub and was invited early on by one of our neighbors in the South who was an investor. I never got to go then because I don't like traffic. Cannot miss it today being a Sunday and it's nearer since we're now Makati based.
Our first order was the wonton nachos. At first, I did not expect anything from this Asian style Mexican dish. It had wonton crisps, hoisin cream slaw, sriracha, mozzarella, cheddar, thai pork and cilantro. But, once I started on it I couldn't stop dipping my hands into the bowl. It was that good, sort of a mimic trying to better its master and almost succeeding because a real good bowl of traditional nachos would still have me craving for more.
Then, our beer orders arrived. Sapporo, Engkanto and Heineken -2°. The pairing could not be more perfect as the beer went well with our other orders of lamb sisig, B&D Crispy Pata and Bangers 'n Mash. The Lamb Sisig was a meatier version of the most sought after Philippine dish after being "introduced and raved" about by the late Anthony Bourdain. Its Crispy Pata could take on the best without being put to shame. It even had a quattro sauce selection of horseradish cream, dijon mustard, seasoned vinegar and soy mignonette. The Bangers and Mash was carried by the good quality Cheese Bratwurst sausage with its creamy, to-die-for mashed potato.
We had two great desserts namely: Oops, I Dropped the Berry pie which was tart and fantastic, you could really savor the three berries plus the strawberry ice cream topping and the Campfire Fondue.
Good times, great food and best company (family).
Starting off the weekend at our fav Gastropub in Makati, Belle & Dragon. Their drinks especially the food are really good and creative. They have an array of interesting cocktails that are delightful and unique. The Wonton Nachos was super delish! One of the best bar chow I’ve tried. It goes well with any drink. The atmosphere is solid and the crowd is chill. What’s cool is that they have a hidden bar at the back called Mandalay if you’re into Whiskey and Cigars. Make sure to reserve a table as it gets crowded really quick.
Up for lunch or dinner? Both can be enjoyed equally good in here. Don't forget to try their pork chop and pork schnitzel, just melts in the mouth.
Also there are lots of TVs so, something for everyone. Remember to check their special closet, that leads somewhere secret 😂
This Gastropub is must-go place for food and drinks.
The menu is revised every quarter so there's always a good reason to check it out all year round.
My favorites are...
Cream of Tomato Soup - one of the best I've ever had.
Lamb Sisig - a perfect twist for sisig and lamb lovers out there.
Scotch Egg - a hands-down crowd favorite when we went there for the meet-up. Soft-boiled eggs are coated with sausage meat then deep-fried. Perfect pub food.
Gastropub is the term used for restaurants and bars that pair food with beer. This trend began in Ireland and the UK in the early 1900s. Public houses or “pubs” for short, used to only care about serving up the perfect pint of beer, but now a good number of them are creating gourmet menus that go above and beyond your basic fish and chips. Gastropubs are fairly new to the Manila food and nightlife scene and there are only a few of the around.
We often associate bars and pubs with just drinks and maybe a handful of bar chows. But I've noticed lately that several drinking spots have been paying close attention to their food offerings and making it not just good pairings with their drinks but superb too for dinner! And one of the places worth visiting for dinner (or even lunch) is The Belle and Dragon.
MAKATI is such a haven of diverse bar and restaurant. Belle and Dragon is a hidden high-end restaurant located in Legazpi Village. You can never go wrong with their food and drinks.
Last July 2018, they launched a new set of menu, which are really enticing and tempting. What I like about Belle and Dragon is their servings. A single menu can actually good for sharing. Now, let’s get started with their latest offer:
My favorite, LAMB SISIG – the reason why I like it because of its spiciness. The juiciness and the fresh taste of the lamb are major thumbs up! It was really tempting because they used yogurt instead of mayonnaise. What a healthy Sisig. Just over the top.
If you are looking for good gains, you should try the DOUBLE D BURGER - this burger was composed of 2 pure beef patties with lettuce and mayonnaise. The buns was just okay but the patties were good enough because it was not salty and no extenders.
Another must try is the BIG D HOTDOG – not the usual sausage sandwich because it was wrapped of crispy bacon filled with onions, crispy garlic, diced pickles and sliced cucumber. It was good because of the hint of spiciness.
Next on the menu is the CAMOTE FRIES – I was surprised that it was actually baked camote fries. It was not oily and salty. It was matched with spicy dip. Better grab some beer ☺
Belle and Dragon huge CRISPY PATA served with four different dips. A PUTOK-BATOK and perfect as pulutan.
BANGERS AND MASH – who can’t resist with mashed potatoes combined with sausages. The texture of the mashed potatoes was so good. It was perfectly cooked, not to salty and sweet. It compliments the cheesy taste of the sausage. You should try it with beer too.
Another great deal is the SCOTCH EGGS - would you believe that a simple egg can be an extra-ordinary dish? Belle and Dragon just elevated the standard of this menu. A breaded soft-boiled egg paired with Tomato Jam.
We were lucky enough to visit the hidden room of Belle and Dragon. It was like a warp zone from the usual Belle and Dragon dining area. The room was so classy and sophisticated.
Will definitely go back over and over again.
One of the restaurants that was always on my list is The Belle & Dragon. So just imagine my excitement when I received an email saying that I was invited for a Zomato Foodie Meet Up at The Belle & Dragon. I was absolutely excited!. At the heart of Makati is where The Belle & Dragon is located. Specifically, it is located at 100 OPL Building, C Palanca Street, Legazpi Village, Makati.
The Belle & Dragon is one of the good restaurants my partner and I, together with our Japanese friends, really wanted to try but our schedules didn't agree. So when I got an email last Monday, inviting me for a Foodie Meet-Up, I couldn't help but smile the whole day due to excitement that I will be able to finally try this restaurant.
Together with other foodies, we were invited by The Belle & Dragon to try their new dishes for the 2nd quarter of 2018. We had Bangers & Mash, Scotch Eggs, B & D Crispy Pata, Lamb Sisig, Double D Burger, The Big D, Sweet Potato Fries and Cream of Tomato.
🔥 I really love hotdogs and sausages. I want them long, tasty, cheesy and satisfying and their Bangers & Mash didn't disappoint. The smell of charred onions got me hooked before tasting the dish. The sausage was of high quality. It was bursting with flavor and so tender. The natural casing was just perfect in keeping the sausage in tact and firmly looking. Paired it with a perfectly crushed creamy mashed potato and I'm ready to go.
🔥Scotch Eggs is a proof that a simple egg could be this extra delicious. This is one of my faves too! The coating was delicious. The underdone yolk is what I always wanted with boiled eggs. You will surely ask for more.
🔥I always drool when I heard of Crispy Pata and got excited imagining every part of it will shatter inside my mouth upon mastication. So when I found out that Crispy Pata is one of the dishes that we have to taste, I was excited. Sadly, I find B & D Crispy Pata as "nakakaumay" because it's more on fats than crisps. Good thing, they served it with 4 different dips to make this dish more exciting.
🔥If you're looking for a dish with a kick, you should try their Lamb Sisig! It was moderately spicy which makes it an ideal "pulutan". It has abundant chicharon on top too! So grab this together with your favorite beer. Cheers!
🔥When it comes to burger, I'm always looking for a flavorful and juicy one and The Double D Burger failed me on this. The patty was a bit dry and tasteless. Maybe for some, they may like this low level of flavor but it's really a No for me. Not suitable for a Filipino taste, I guess.
🔥The Big D or the Bacon Wrapped Hotdog in a bun was good but it was not that really outstanding. The hotdog was of high quality though.
🔥The Sweet Potato Fries tasted good. Whether you eat it hot or cold, the taste remains the same. Though, I prefer it hot. I love the spicy mayo that goes along with it. Yummm!
🔥Cream of Tomato soup tasted good when hot. I love it! It was creamy and tasty. Perfect soup to start your meal. 😋
Aside from extensive menu and good tasting dishes, the ambiance here is great! Amazing how this place was silent during our visit and got crowded and lively at night! Don't miss the hidden bar!
Overall, it was a good experience. The restaurant co-owner and the chef were so nice and very open to listen to our feedback, may it be positive or negative and they're very much willing to improve the negative ones.
Thanks for having us The Belle & Dragon!

This is my first time to try The Belle & Dragon, and it was a foodie meetup for us to test their new menu.
In the photos:
Double D Burger - 🌟🌟🌟
Similar to a big mac, with 3 layers of bread, double patties and vegetables. I would love for the place to lessen their mayonnaise, but the chips are good, and the portion of the burger is huge.
Bangers & Mash - 🌟🌟🌟🌟
The sausages are flavorful and huge, complemented with the mashed potatoes, this becomes the ultimate pub food. I can imagine how good this tastes with beer.
Crispy Pata - 🌟🌟🌟
I love their 4 dips for the crispy pata so you can have a choice. The sauerkraut is a nice touch also because it breaks the "umay" while eating. Would love for this to be softer though, so it melts in your mouth.
The Big D Hotdog - 🌟🌟🌟
I have similar sentiments on this with the burger. Lessen the mayonnaise taste, but love the sausage. They used the same sausage as the bangers.
Lamb Sisig - 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is really spicy! But good. I can't explain it, but it's the kind of spice you want to keep eating. They used yogurt instead of mayonnaise to complement the taste of the heavy lamb, and probably to lessen the lamb smell.
Camote Fries - 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Not a fan of camote, but the sauce with this is really addicting! It's like spicy thousand island dip.
Scotch Eggs - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This one is my favorite from the menu! The eggs are soft boiled, with ground beef and breading. It's crispy on the outside, while soft and luscious on the inside. They also have tomato jam on the side that really complements the scotch eggs. Definite must try!
They also have a wide array of drinks you could try, as well as a hidden speakeasy in the back. I tried one of their cocktails which is called "The Middle Finger" - since this is the only cocktail that has vodka. The mix tastes citrusy, which I really like. Kind of like a lemonade-orange juice-vodka mix.
The Belle & Dragon is definitely a good place to bond with your friends for drinks and food. All of their dishes complement their drink selection so it wouldn't be the full experience if you don't get their beer and drinks.
Great ambiance and their sinigang is a must try! Their chicken is very tender & juicy. Generous servings veryy reasonable for its price.

This place is close to my workplace so I've been wanting to eat here for a while.
Food = 4: The food here tastes great. I ordered a Palanca Pares and my friend ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad. Both were really good. The pares broth was so rich and although the potato mash balanced out the saltiness of the broth, it was a bit too salty for my taste. The salad was also a great mix of flavor because it tasted fresh and it's vinaigrette wasnt overpowering the individual components of the salad.
Staff = 5: Very attentive and kind, even during a lunch period on a work day. No complaints.
Cleanliness = 3: There are so many flies.
Price = 4: It's an acceptable price for a restaurant in Makati. It's not super cheap, but it's not very expensive either. I mean the servings are HUGE so it's worth it.
All in all, this place is worth going back to.
Another place not so many people knows about but worth to try. The ambiance is good, the food it's okay. Portions are big but pricey. A good place to have drinks and celebrate with friends.

We ordered 3 dishes:
B&D’s nachos are made with wonton crisps, hoisin cream slaw, sriracha aioli, mozzarella, cheddar and ground pork. Warning, more on the sweet side but I likey the Asian twist. 😉 And it’s huge, definitely for sharing by 3 or more people. (You have been warned, if you’re craving for the usual nacho cheesy type, this isn’t for you.)
Their Lechon Sinigang aptly comes with unlimited rice because you’re gonna need it! The pork was tender and although the lechon was drowned in the soup, it surprisingly wasn’t soggy (don’t expect it to be still magically crisp of course).
The sizzling sisig is okay too. Comes with unli-rice as well.

This was my first and only visit (so far) at The Belle & Dragon. It was a Zomato Foodie Meet-Up so I just showed up without any idea about the place nor the kind of food they serve. Though not obvious from the facade, the interior of this restaurant is grand and spacious. I love the mindful distances between tables, the high ceiling, the semi-private sections, the cozy dim light, and even those little details hanging on the walls. So varied pieces and accents but worked as a whole. Went there late afternoon/early dinner time when the venue was still peaceful and has less diners. Little did I know at that time that it gets funkier at night as, well..., it is a bar thus the "East Meets Pub" tagline.
I forgot to take a picture of the other two orders but we had the fish & chips and the chicken & biscuits.
Nachos ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Chicken & biscuits ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fish & chips ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (not that good since the coating is too much)
It’s a bit pricey but the food tastes good 👍🏻
Will definitely go back here for the nachos and drinks!
We gave them 5 stars! Our 3rd time here and we will keep coming back. Customer service, ambiance and the food were all perfect. We loved all the foods we ordered. Highly recommended for family and friends.
been here last week, our first time.. we enjoy the food and the drinks.
sayang lang hinde available yung lechon sinigang nila, yun pa naman gusto ko i try. wanton nachos super like, the wurst threesome. fried chicken basket perfect with adobo dirty rice :-)
Great food; ordered the fish and chips, callos pasta and pork shnitzel (I highly recommend this dish). They even reserved a nice spot for me and my date.
Didn’t expect loud music though. Overall, it was a great experience. Would definitely come back.
mom's day dinner celebration.
liquor ban 😉 so the place was obviously quiet but lots of family celebrating the special day then.
very good food.
very accommodating & superb service from the crew.
i can say the prices are just right.
special thanks to my loving hubby & very caring unico hijo.
happy tummy!
go see the place!
May 20, 2018 We booked a table through Zomato a few days back for Sunday lunch. It was fast and easy, moving forward I think I'll just use this app for making reservations. We ordered the following:
Wonton Chips - yes it's as good as what everyone here says.
Calamari - perfectly fried with a tasty coating. They serve this with a sweet vinegar.
Salad with grilled chicken - I'm so sorry I'm so bad with remembering the exact names of the dishes but this one had a Chinese sesame dressing. They also had wonton chips.
Palanca Pares - the beef was sooooo soft and the mashed potatoes smooth and creamy.
Sinigang with the lechon kawali - pork heaven! This is soooo goooood! Even if the pork was doused and submerged in soup it was still very crispy. The soup was tangy and savory and the vegetables were not overcooked. This dish also comes with white rice.
Cod Chino - Deckard had this, he said it was good. This also has white rice with it.
Angus Burger - Puppycat and her grandmother says it was good.
I would have loved to give them a 5 but unfortunately they have a problem with flies. Even if there were 2 candles on our table it wasn't enough to be rid of them. We're not talking here of 1 or 2 but as in there were several that were zooming in and out as we were having lunch. Just to be clear, we were even seated inside the air conditioned area. Also, we are missing our Calamari. We took home several leftovers and that wasn't in any of our brown paper bags. I'm a little miffed about that because that's Puppycat's favorite dish.
But as for the quality of the food, taste and service I'd rate them excellent. Special mention goes to Vher, he was very friendly and he tried his best to swat the flies hahahaha I saw him with those electric swatters that look like a tennis racket. He is also very knowledgeable of the dishes that the restaurant has to offer.
Love the place and the food! Have been here twice, once to eat lunch (really big servings!) and once to drink.
The grilled chicken salad was absolutely awesome — plentiful chicken with a glaze that I’m craving for right now.
The burger was ok too, although I still prefer 8Cuts. The patty was pure beef, and you could really taste it— maybe I just prefer more flavor.

They have a variety of drink options. Check out the beers (the Sapporo beer was really balanced and crisp) and cocktails!
