If you're looking for good Filipino food then this place doesn't disappoint. We love their Kare Kare (comes with good bagoong) and their crispy squid. The restaurant ambiance also tries to give you a nostalgic feel which is quite unique. đŸ€—

This the best place to eat Filipino comfort food in Makati. Out of the crowd. Vintage interior. Price is friendly. Classic menu doesn’t get out of date. đŸ‘ŒđŸŒ

Went here for a lunch meeting and was surprised it gets packed during lunch. It’s a fairly small quaint place in Legaspi who serves really good Sinigang. The laing was ordinary, the chicken was tasty though it was a bit dry. The okoy was really good too.

A great experience in a restaurant begins with exemplary service. And this place ranks on top of my list.

Josh, the food attendant was very courteous and he even made sure we have parking outside (I made reservations).

The Plus Side:
1. Food portions were for sharing.
2. Good value for money.
3. Old favorites such as Kare-Kare, Bagnet and Laing were delicious.
4. Seafood Medley was affordable. It even has salmon fillet wrapped in lumpia wrapper.
5. The Lumpiang Ubod was huge and for sharing.
6. Service was excellent. Food was served hot and swiftly.
7. Washroom was clean and fresh-smelling.
8. Interior was nostalgic. There were so many conversational pieces like the old-fashioned iron. Old photos lined up the wall creating warm, family-vibe feelings. ♄ As if my ancestors are smiling fondly from above while we munch those Filipino comfort food.

Cons:
1. The place is small.
2. Parking can be tough. If your office is around the area, just walk. We had dinner at 7pm so parking was not that difficult.

Food - What we've ordered:
1. 3 Way Adobo - it includes Chicken, Pork and the very crunchy adobo flakes. I love how it is presented and the adobo flakes is ❀
2. Pork Sisig with Aligue - this is overrated, we've read that this is the best sisig that they've tasted but nothing so special in it. We've got leftovers meaning its not a hit in our group.
3. Bistek Salmon Belly - served in a thick bistek sauce and onion rings which we loved
4. Pinakbet con Lechon - your typical pinakbet with only lechon as additional toppings
5. Pancit Lucban and Pancit Canton con Lechon - basically they have same taste. the difference is only the toppings, Lucban Longganisa and the lechon
6. Sinigang Salmon Belly - one of the best sinigang soup we've ever tasted and we all agreed with that. 5 mins and the soup is gone 😊

Ambience - the place is homey and instagram worthy but its so small that iy only accomodate less than 50 people. we are 14 in a group and we almost filled in half of their place.

Service - crews are very attentive

Price - very reasonable since their servings is good for sharing (2-4 persons)

We' ll come back since we still want to try the other foods on the menu

Lucky that my office is close to this restaurant. Adobo flakes is a must. Tried Tinuktok sa Gata for the first time and loved it! Grilled Bangus was cooked to perfection as well as the liempo. The spicy tuyo rice is worth mentioning as well. Our office tried their catering and our Singaporean and Australian guests thoroughly enjoyed their food! Food was so good forgot to take pictures.

I don't know if this is the same Pamana in Tagaytay.
But this place has really good interiors. I just don't like that it's small coz the people eating beside us are too noisy and you can hear their echoes and you can hear everyonr talking on every table coz it's a small place.

We ordered the Salmon watermelon sinigang and bagnet or crispy pata binagoongan, I forgot.
It's the best version of a filipino food. A good twist!

For a sumptuous Filipino meal head to any Pamana restaurants.

Their food is tasty that it melts in your mouth especially their Kare Kare and Corned beef and Sisig!

For dessert we tried their hot chocolate and it's was so good to end our meal!

You won't go wrong with them as the owner is behind the Barrio Fiesta Group. The Original Crispy Pata maker!

Place - 3
Food - 4.5
money - 4
environment - 1

The place is small and always crowded so the environment is noisy and busy.
The food, I had some salad with kesong puti (yum!) as starter, cebu lechon roll (superb!) and tinupig for the main and for dessert ginumis (one of the best minatamis i've tasted.

Food is great with adequate servings... I liked everything we ordered except for the drink (lemongrass based) which I thought tasted weird. The lumpia is a great appetizer with 3 different fillings- vigan longganisa, tinapa and kesong puti. A must try! The place is small so you have to have a reservation for big groups.

OHHMMMYYYYGGGGAAAAHHHDDDDD!!!

No, I didn't accidentally press my keyboard. This was my actual reaction when I had my first bite of Crispy Baby Pusit in Black Ink from Bistro Pamana. It was sooo goo-ood! Before I dove into it, my foodie partner said it was the best squid dish she has ever had. To be honest I thought she was exaggerating, but when I tasted it, I felt like I was Anton Ego having a freeze moment when he first tasted the Ratatouille (I was barely done with this appetizer, but I was already mapping out in my head when my next visit will be). It was the first dish served but again, I saved a small piece on my plate until end of dinner so it'll be the last one to touch my palate.

Then the other dishes came flying in. We ordered so much (good for a baranggay fiesta), but they served so quickly that we got overwhelmed and panicked as to which one to eat first:

â–ȘMinais-Sang Nilagang Bulalo - Meat and broth is just pure PERFECTION! No need to drive 2hours to Tagaytay for this. It's just in our backyard. If I could only give one small comment, the corn was a tad overdone. But Hey! After that beefy punch, who am I to complain?

â–Ș3 Kinds Adobo - Good, good and good! Special shout out to the Adobo Flakes as I've probably eaten it all and forgot that I have company. Lol

And the list goes on.

Okoy Bites, Lechon Manok, Bistek Salmon Belly and Lumpia Trio...

I don't want to make this review novel-long so just to summarize, this is what I've learned: You can't go wrong with this restaurant! You can probably even close your eyes and point randomly in their menu and still end up with an amazing dish. Not only that, servings are generous and prices won't break the bank. That's how good they are that I want to kick myself for not knowing they existed only 3 blocks away from my office all this time. I missed half of my life so don't do the same mistake as I did.

Ambiance and service? Golden. My only suggestion is that they can try to time the serving of dishes, from appetizers to mains and not serve them all at the same time so as to create a more elevated dining experience. But other than that, props to the whole Pamana staff!

Think of Bistro Pamana for your next dinner plans. You seriously won't regret it.

Upon entering Pamana, it immediately reminded me of an event because of the walls, the interior, the table setting and most especially the chairs. The servers were also wearing a uniform similar to that of a caterer’s waiter.

My friends and I ordered Lechon Kawali, Baked Tahong & Scallop Sampler and Kare-Kareng Gulay. The Lechon Kawali tasted good but it had a lot of fat so I left a lot of untouched slices. We’re not fond of eating scallops but my friend (who was a frequent customer) still ordered the seafood sampler. She said that the restaurant is usually out of scallops so they replace it with more tahong instead. The taste was okay but I wish it had more cheese on top. The Kare-Kareng Gulay was okay. I think it was cooked just right since the vegetables and were not that soft and soggy.

Excellent Filipino 'heirloom' restaurant with recipes passed down the generations.

Started off with the light Pinoy Caprese Salad consisting of quezong puti with tomatoes and basil on a bed of greens with a zesty salad dressing

Chicken Binakol was a sweetish tasting chicken cooked in young coconut milk served inside a coconut shell with additional soup served alongside.

Smoked Tinapa Pasta at Kalabasa tasted very good. This was the best dish of the evening.

Bulalong Corned Beef was sweet tasting but still very good - loved the addition of potatoes and tomatoes.

Ginumis with Panucha (raw sugar cane) ice cream was very good. The combination of gulaman, sago, coconut milk and crushed ice topped with toasted pinipig was really a treat!

Good variety of Filipino cuisine.

I know this resto is not solely a dessert place, but I would definitely would go here often just for desserts alone. :)

Ambiance is cozy and elegant with walls full of nice portraits on it. Customer service can be improved though because in our experience, our order took quite a while just to be served. We spontaneously just dropped by here for some merienda and we opted for the following:

Bibingka - Soft and fluffy Bibingkas with a cheesy and buttery topping. This is a definite must-try not only during Christmas seasons.

Pinoy Fondue - As the name implies, this is not your typical fondue. A combination of Suman, Kutsinta, Puto and Espasol slices paired with super rich and definitely chocolatey hot choco sauce. Dear fellow choco lovers, this is all we have been dying to try out. The richness and consistency of the choco sauce is finger-lickin' oh so good. I just wished there were more choco serving..

As a vocal fan of Anthony Bourdain's show No Reservations pointed out, Filipino cuisine seems to often be overlooked and under-appreciated on the international dining scene. There are not many good Filipino restaurants really, but they do exist and are worth visiting, especially if the idea of a pork hock deep-fried to a crackling crisp gives you the same goosebumps as it does for me. Luckily, Pamana belongs to the elite few.

Pamana is a homegrown and classic Filipino restaurant which opened in Tagaytay in 2009. Aside from its dishes, the place became popular for its homey interiors and photo-filled walls.

Crispy Pata is a must for anyone with a taste for crackling. Pork hocks are boiled, air dried and then deep fried until the surrounding skin blisters into crackling. Traditionally served whole, here the hock is chopped into chunky pieces. Use your fingers and take your time to savour the crisp, shattering skin before dunking the meat into the bowl of dressing (a mix of vinegar, soy and shallots) that will refresh any dry bits of meat and counter the richness. The bones are the best part, especially if you manage to tease out bits of tendon that are deliciously sticky.

From Kare-Kare to Ginumis, every dining experience at Pamana is surely a big hit. One can never go wrong here.

One of the things that I rarely do is to spend my money to eat Filipino food at a Filipino restaurant. I believe that Pinoy food is best eaten when it is home cooked. To tell you the truth, I only eat a handful of Filipino dishes. Adobo and Kare Kare being my favorite dishes.

Given my story, one would think why I tried Bistro Pamana in the first place, not once, but twice. My first visit at Bistro Pamana was due to the Birthday Celebration of My Boss. I was so happy that I don't need to pay anything and be able to try Filipino dishes with a twist. I do not have any expectations to begin with, but I was shocked I was able to enjoy the dishes served to us.

Due to my good experience of dining here in Bistro Pamana, I did not think twice when my College friends told me that we will be having our annual dinner at Bistro Pamana.

So what we ordered are the following: Lumpia Trio, Sinigang Tuna Belly, Crispy pata, Cebu Lechon Roll, Inasal, Tsokolate de Baterol and ensaymada, pansit etc.

I highly recommend everything that we ordered except for the dessert. The dessert is okay for me but I cannot give my judgement on this since I am not really fond of desserts in general. I would leave the dessert review to the sweet tooth experts.

If you want to boast good tasting Filipino food to the Balikbayans or to your Foreigner visitors and friends, I suggest that you head over to Bistro Pamana.

Lo and behold! My favorite resto in Tagaytay has a branch in Perea St., Legaspi Village, Makati. About 5 minutes walk from my office. It's been there a while I've been told and I just recently learned about it. When some work mates invited me to have dinner there, I agreed without hesitation.

This time around I got to try the following:

Bulalong Corned Beef- I enjoyed this very much. Bulalo cut into shreds and cooked corned beef style. The type of corned beef with that nice 'canned good-like' taste that I know and love but freshly made. I thought at first it's a soup dish but it's not. But the beef is really tender with appetizing potato cubes. Goes perfectly well with lots of rice.

3-Way Adobo - a mix of several versions of adobo in one dish. Flaked, sauced, twice cooked.

Laing at Chicharon - This version is potent. Rightfully cooked yam leaves in creamy coconut milk. Made even tasty with mussels, pork chunks and crunchy bits of chicharon.

Crispy Baby Squid - this one's a must try. Perfectly fried bite sized squids coated in crispy batter that's tinted with squid ink. Very tasty with bits of green pepper adding in tinges of spiciness. It's black apprearance make it quite interesting for the eyes as it is for the taste.

Ensaladang Bagnet - irresistibly deep fried and crunchy bagnet disguised as a healthy dish presented along with fresh greens, onions and tomatoes. Quite good and sinful.

This branch may have similarities with the Tagaytay branch when it comes to the look and feel. Bistro Pamana of course is targeted to the business executive niche. But still the cuisine that I have come to enjoy is quite the same. This fortunately gives me more opportunity to explore their menu more.

I'm honestly not a big fan of eating in Filipino restaurants... only cause I believe I end up paying for food I can get at home... that might even be better. 😂

Anyway... my friends decided to eat in Bistro Pamana! One of them said this place was good. It didn't disappoint! 👍

I was also surprised to see how reasonably priced their food was... given that they ARE in Makati! There were 5 of us. We had 2 appetizers, 3 main dishes, rice, and a pitcher of juice. Our bill was a little less than Php1,400!

Ambiance-wise, nothing great. They could definitely do something about the acoustics. They were pretty full when we were there... and my friends and I could barely hear each other because there was a big group that was pretty noisy. 😂

I really enjoyed their Lumpia Trio, Bulalo, and 3-way Adobo! We were all surprised at how much meat their Bulalo had! 😁

A place hidden in the busy streets of Makati, looks posh with old rustic ambiance. This place offers homey atmosphere once you step inside with staff that are very friendly.
Their food offers a variety of Filipino dishes with a twist like the Smoked Tinapa pasta with Kalabasa. We ordered Spicy tuyo pesto pasta and gourmet tinapa with fried rice meal. Their servings are good for sharing and their prices are quite affordable.
I will definitely go back here and try their other dishes. Its worth a try.

Bistro Pamana was indeed promising with great service, adorable interior and innovative dishes! With the three dishes we had during our visit, I would say that I was impressed allowing me to see a lot of potential in other dishes. This made me excited to check out the place again soon.

On top of all, the prices are considerably wallet-friendly without any compromise in the quality of both the dishes and the service. Awesome!

Kudos to Zomato app because I found this place, where in I spent & treat my officemate for my 24th birthday.

Bistro Pamana is really a nice place, you will transported back to the old times as you enter the place. I really love how they use Old photos of the family with very classy frame and also different mirrors to help the place looks big.

The restaurant staff's are very accommodating. Filipino food are really delicious, we try Sisig Aligue, Chicken Binakol, The best 3 way adobo and Bagnet Kare Kare. Furthermore what I really like is the price of the food it's really affordable ^__^.

I would recommend this place to those people who are in a budget but needs to treat he's/her office mate in a place that has a good ambiance, great food and affordable price.

My daughter and I had some morning snacks here. I thought that the concept of the place is cool...I love vintage. They serve Filipino cuisine with a twist which I find it quite unique. I would like to try their pasta esp. the Aligue Carbonara on my next visit. What we had for the morning snacks were the Adobo Flakes Pandesal Bar which was very tasteful and juicy. It goes with a cup of Bulalo Soup and Fried Sweet Potatoes on the side which will really stuff your tummy. My little girl
tried the Ginumis with Panucha Ice Cream and she enjoyed it a lot. When I billed out, they handed us a small vintage typewriter in which the receipt was inserted, we thought it was cute and very rare. We will definitely come back.

Parking is hard. We just parked in Greenbelt and walked.

Ambience was cozy and a nice place to hang out with friends, though it's only a small place. Maybe can only serve up to 25 people?

We ordered kare-kare which we found delicious (learned that it is essentially similar with the barrio fiesta version). We also ordered the bangus with garlic flakes, which was also good.

It was actually because of our positive experience here that we tried the Tagaytay branch but we think the Makati branch is better.

Bistro Pamana is very good place indeed for a quiet chat and good food. My tita is asking if we can have dinner together since we haven't seen each other for 13years.

The place is located in a less crowded place. The ambiance is good + you can see a lot of old photos hanging on the wall.

Food is superb. We tried the Crispy Baby Squid in black ink, Lechon Boneless Bangus, Ensaladang Bagnet and I think Salmon Belly kare-kare and a bottle of wine. The food is really good and definitely we'll be coming back soon.

I've heard about the Tagaytay branch of Pamana, which i why I was surprised to find a small version in busy Makati. From what I saw, Pamana boasts of heirloom recipes in a quaint restaurant filled with family owned antique decorations.

I love how the restaurant instantly feels like home, you get transported to your own ancestral home, back in the days when you would listen to stories told by your grandparents and stare in wonder.

What we tried:

Chicken Binakol - This was my favorite among everything that we ordered. It's a version of the traditional chicken tinola, cooked with buko juice and served in buko. I loved how the chicken was tender and cooked well. seasoning was  perfect.

Pork Sisig with Aligue - I like how each bite was crispy, and full of tiny pork chunks instead of just fat. Flavor wise, it was good, but the aligue didn't really add much to the flavor, the sisig was already good on it's own.

These first two dishes are good for sharing, so I suggest ordering a bowl of rice for sharing to go with them, sooooo good!

Aligue carbonara - good for sharing as well, but you can eat it on it's own. honestly, I didn't like this dish. I was prepared for the crab fat, but I didn't expect it to be overly greasy. It tasted less of carbonara and more of just plain aligue topped pasta.

Puto bumbong at coconut sauce- They cook puto bumbong well, chewy and moist, with a generous helping of butter, sugar and toasted coconut shavings, it just reminds you of misa de gallo. The coconut sauce tasted more of the sauce you put on suman latik.

lemon grass iced tea (pitcher)- I recommend this lemon grass tea to go with your meal. I'm a big fan of  the refreshing fragrance of tanglad, and it's perfect to wash away the greasiness. I love how it comes in a pitcher to share with a group.

Overall, I liked my experience, food was good and service was superb. The staff was highly attentive.

We recently visited Bistro Pamana restaurant in Legaspi area - Makati.
Well, you really needed to have your map dig in the place and finders keeper - good thing my friend really knows well Legaspi area.

AMBIANCE - very classic, nostalgic and intimate. With all the antique decors, mirrors, and pictures - the ambiance is really homey. What the place stands out from the rest is that they have the vibrance of a place best for your relatives, family, friends and love ones.

The mirrors is a plus point since a love mirrors so much!

For the nameboard outside the restau-I suggest to have  "spot light" in them so they can easily spot the area from afar (note: we dine in at night time)

FOOD - very excellent Filipino style!

Palitaw - my all time favorite. I liked their version, not too sweet, they have it chewy and soft. Size is as large as my palm (so very large)

Bagoong Rice - WOW. The best ever! For those on a diet like me - you can't resist this one. Every bite is just so tasty and amazing. Every bite is memorable one.

Ensaymada Baterol - get ready your phonecam on this - foodporn alert!
What I like this one is that they served the baterol in a flask like lamp shape and also the meal comes with a tea cup - the antique one. The cheese in Ensaymada crusted with cheese and sugar -  tasted like Keso de Bola!

Pinoy Caprese - we ordered the salad without the bacon. The Pinoy Caprese comes with Basil, Tomatoes, and Kesong Puti!! I liked it so much with fresh greens!

Overall experience - very memorable best shared with family and friends. Bistro Pamana moments is truly the moment you must share with your love ones. Everything is just so unique and nostalgic.

Now, it's your turn to share your Bistro Pamana Moments!!

Note: For the food price  - very reasonable!! Our receipt came with a little cash register. How cool  is that??
