This hidden gem in Makati serves great food at reasonable prices. Service is pretty good too because the staff have been there for a long time. The restaurant itself uhas been around for a while now. I highly encourage you to try it out. You won't regret it.
Wonderful service, staff are friendly and attended to us very well. Food is delicious and authentic. Loved their gulaman drink too.
Five star service and menu! all Authentic!! They give free appetizers and desserts too. A must try on Jupiter street. I loved their eggplant and minced pork, their beef noodles and shrimp salad
The foods is 4/5 , this Chinese restaurant is presented a really good taste of chinese foods, reall tasty.
the ambiance is really good also 4/5
The service is 3.5/5.
In the lunch time the place is quite full, so better come early.
I’m writing this as I eat dessert... the food here is great! They didnt cheap out on the ingredients. I didnt get to take pictures because we were too busy eating. The highlights for me were the “Chinese Takoyaki” and the fried shrimpballs in a bed of friend spinach! The place itself is small though so it feels a bit tight.
Wen't there with office-mates for lunch break. We booked via EATIGO app and got a 50% off (just have to be there at 11am).
The food was satisfying, your typical authentic Chinese restaurant. The advantage though is they have a wide range of food on their menu to choose from. What caught my attention though is their sweet and sour pork with peaches and it was good! I personally like sweet and sour and it's something I can remember. We also tried their beef steak, mixed vegies and crispy noodles. Again, just your typical Chinese taste. The price range is good for the service size which for me can pass for 2-3 persons. Their staff though told us initially that it can fit up to 6 (I agree if you have several dishes).
The service was good, they are attentive and friendly. But some of them are too shy to talk to us and seem hesitant to answer on our inquiries.
Their space though looks crowded and all of the place. (I tried to look for parallelism).
Oh! They serve free (refillable) dessert! And it's good.
I have always been a fan of chinese food and man, this place delivers!
I stumbled upon this restaurant as I was looking for a place to go to for dinner and, chinese restaurants has always saved my nights. Along the busy street of Jupiter is this restaurant which hides prolly the some of the best chinese food I had in the metro.
We arrived a few minutes before the place was open but, we were gladly asked to come inside and get our orders taken. In the past 2 months, I came back here twice and one was for my birthday dinner. And they did not disappoint!!
We were able to try a lot of things from their menu. Here's my take on all of them:
▪️Siomai with Crab Roe: Believe me when I tell you that this is the BEST siomai you can get in the Metro. BECAUSE IT IS. My bf says it's better than the ones he tried in Ongpin. And he tried almost every freakin' food place in that area.
▪️Hakaw: Pretty solid but not the best.
▪️Meat Buns: Mini siopaos of happiness. No need for siopao sauce!
▪️Yang Chow Fried Rice: Pretty good. Just needs a bit more salt to it.
▪️Hot and Sour Soup: Very rich and, they don't take it easy on the "sahog". Very filling for soup.
▪️Soup No. 5: Didn't try. This was my dad's. He was disappointed tho because he said he saw chicken parts in his soup.
▪️Lemon Chicken: This was good! Tho it had pineapple so, I was confused.
▪️Cheesy Baked Oysters: These are probably my favorite!! Oysters with bokchoy and some crab meat, topped with cheese and baked. Yes, they're amazing.
▪️Mapo Tofu: I was expecting a bit more heat but, it was okay.
▪️Malaysian Cupcakes: Think pancakes turned to mini puto looking cupcakes. Yeap.
Great food plus their staff was very accomodating. food may take time to come out bc I guess most (if not all) are made to order. Manager (or I think she's the manager) was just a bit snooty though. I totally recommend this place if you wanna have chinese. Will not disappoint.
We had dinner at IMC Kavino with high hopes. I'm glad to say, they delivered dishes bursting with fusion flavours. Serving size is for sharing.
The Sizzling Beef Ribs was great (php588), while the Fried Prawns (php125/piece) was tasty and seasoned well.
For dessert, the Mango Sago (php128) was without the pomelo as it's unavailable that time. But it came with a complimentary mini cup of Black Rice ginataan of sort. Also a good dessert.
Best of all, they have unlimited house tea, and a complimentary salad. Served before your orders come.
Staff were very nice. 👌🏻
I've been going to Kavino since it opened. The food is great and that's already no surprise. The team who cooked this place up (literally and figuratively) came from a well-known Chinese restaurant in an upscale hotel. The staff is the best part. This small lady takes the orders and entertains people. You couldn't mistake her for anyone because she is one of the reasons besides the food that makes this restaurant awesome. She is very knowledgeable about the food and she is the right mix of persuasive and sensitive. She knows when to offer things and when to leave you to enjoy your food. Being someone who likes to dine alone, she sometimes offer 1 person servings and charge only per piece for the food she can do that for. I really appreciate that she knew what was my concern without me asking. I keep coming back to this place!
Try their breaded pork wraps with hoisin sauce (pork beijing) , almond tofu cups and basically all those stuff you're not familiar with. Ask her if you can try it per piece (or two)
If you are looking for a good restaurant in Jupiter Belair with affordable pricing, this is the right place for you. A fusion restaurant that offers Chinese cuisine flavored and cooked by Master Chef Lau . I love their minced beef bamboo soup , golden garlic yangchow fried rice , pork spareribs, shrimp dumplings and crunchy veggies, among others. Service turnaround time is acceptable but my only issue is the parking every lunch time, since the place is always full of employees working within the area. Overall, my experience is satisfactory.
IMC KAVINO is such a good place if you wanted to experience an authentic Chinese dishes .. Well IMC stands for international master chef .. So there you have it guys No Questions ask why their dish are so good ..
Well they have this affordable set meals..
Always done here since it's just across our office
IMC (International Master Chef) Kavino is an excellent Chinese restaurant in Bel Air. From the complimentary unlimited tea to the complimentary mini- dessert, the food is quintessentially Chinese.
We started off with Szechuan Hot & Sour Soup. Loved this soup - just the right combination of spiciness and sourness with crunchy veggies and tender tofu and meat.
Next came the Sizzling Tenderloin in Black Pepper Sauce. Tender beef stir fried with a lip smacking black pepper and soy sauce with tomatoes, broccoli and baby potatoes. Exceeded my expectations.
Next dish was 3-cup Chicken in Pot. This too was excellent. The recipe calls for cooking the chicken in a pot with a cup each of soy sauce, sesame oil and rice wine and cook it until the sauce is 80-90% reduced. The chicken tasted great having soaked up the sauce.
One of the best Chinese restaurants in the Metro, in my opinion.
When we were looking for a place to dine on Chinese New Year's eve, my sister recommended this place. I found the name interesting and which I later found out to be named after International Master Chef Kavino. Food here was great. We ordered the IMCK Superior hotpot which was pricey but really good, pumpkin puree soup, sizzling imported beef tenderloin with black pepper sauce, three cup chicken in pot, special fried spare ribs with garlic. We ordered a lot of food but we were able to finish everything because everything was delicious.

IMC Kavino is one of our go-to restaurants in Makati during our vegetarian days. What I like about this resto is that you can alter the dishes to your liking in terms of taste and ingredients. They can also adjust to the number of diners eating, even if you have a small or big party, they can adjust the portion to give each diner enough portion.
IMC Kavino is an internationally-awarded chef that cooks and served Singaporean/Malaysian/Chinese cuisine.
Other than their yummy vegetarian dishes, we love their normal menu as well. The presentation of the food is always appetizing. The staffs are very friendly, too.
Hot prawn salad and the spareribs yummy! Have a promo 888 good for 4 people great tasting and healthy dishes, the taste is not at all.commercialized if u get my drift. Must try! Worth the buck
IMV Kavino is a Chinese restaurant located in Jupiter Street, the same building where Center Stage is. I didn't know about this place before. It was my in-laws who invited us to have lunch here. We've been here twice already. During our first visit, we ordered Pumpkin Puree Seafood Soup, Sizzling Imported Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper Sauce, Cheesy Baked Oyster, Aomori Hot Prawn Salad and Ferrrero Rocher filled Buchi for dessert. Then for our 2nd time here, we ordered Sze Chuan Hot and Sour Soup, Sizzling Imported Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper Sauce, Three Cup Chicken in Pot, Crispy Shrimp Temaki, Flaky Almond Japanese Bean Curd and Ferrrero Rocher filled Buchi for dessert. Both soups were delicious. The beef tenderloin was tender and lean. I was amazed on how nice the bean curd wrapped in almond flakes were cooked. I definitely enjoyed eating here. All the dishes and dessert were great. They also served free dessert of black glutinous rice and corn in sweet coconut milk. I highly recommend this to Chinese cuisine lovers.
Located along Jupiter St. and below the Centerstage videoke lounge, IMC Kavino serves delicious Chinese cuisine for the Makati lunch crowd in a casual and clean environment. Comparable to better known Chinese restaurants, this place serves delicious Hot & Sour soup, beef steaks, three cups chicken and almond tofu. Furthermore they also provide free desert.
IMC Kavino is always full in the evenings, especially on weekends. Instead of investing on the ambiance, the owners decided to invest on high-quality kitchen equipment, which is essential in providing really good Chinese food.
Chef Kavino Lau and Wilson Tan - Their partnership is the secret to the budding success of IMC Kavino. HK Chinese Chef Lau has 8 years of experience here in Manila at the Heritage Hotel. He guarantees the quality of food is as good as the Chinese hotel restaurants. He should know; after all, he manages the kitchen operation. :) He adds that he doesn't have any vices (like playing in casinos), but he is passionate about windsurfing, kitesurfing, and scuba diving, which has kept him here in Manila for a long time.
Wilson Tan has 10+ years of experience managing a 10,000+ seat-banquet every weekend in Century Seafood. He is a passionate foodie with whom you can have an endless chat about food not only in Manila but also in Hongkong.
The menu here is different. Its core foundation is Cantonese cuisine, which is the specialty of Chef Lau. Recognizing that foodies like to try something new every time and that they easily get bored with the same Chinese menu, the owners decided to modernize some dishes by giving them a different twist. They introduce something special every week to keep foodies coming back for more.
The pricing is reasonable, considering the quality of food. You can customize your meal by just ordering a cup instead of a bowl for the soup, or you can order 2 pieces instead of the 6 pieces if you just want to try a particular dish
Hot Tea (Complimentary and Unlimited) and Kimchi Salad - I always love it when a Chinese restaurant serves complimentary and really good hot tea with unlimited refills. A kimchi salad appetizer will be offered to you immediately, and if you choose to accept it, you'll be charged.
Also, the wet towels provided are charged as well. You can request to remove it from the bill if you don't use it.
Sze Chuan Hot & Sour Soup - My wife loves Hot & Sour Soup. It is one of our gauges to determine if a Chinese restaurant is good or not. It passed the test with flying colors! It is one of the best Hot & Sour soups we've ever tasted. It has just the right spiciness and smooth consistency we're after.
Rainbow Seafood Soup - This is a simple soup with egg and seafood bits. I like how the clear taste of the soup lets the flavor of the seafood shine.
Takoyaki - The Takoyaki, one of the bestsellers of the house, came highly recommended. We were expecting the usual takoyaki balls, but instead we got this open-faced lumpia in a cabbage wrapper. Breaded cuttlefish topped with Katsuobushi (bonito flakes), mayonnaise and chopped onion leeks make up this dish. It's really good -- and it had better be, because of its price.
Pork ala Beijing - We tried this pork wrapped in lumpia wrapper with hoisin sauce. It was a good try, but it failed on the overall taste. I'd recommend that you order other dishes instead.
King Dao Spareribs with Chinese White Wine and Mayo - This one provides interesting flavors. The soft and tasty spareribs meat is served in mayonnaise and Chinese white wine, separately. Both are a bit sweet though. We liked dipping the mayonnaise-coverd spareribs in the wine sauce and vice versa. The serving size is good to share with 2-3 people.
Savor Ginger Onion & Chicken in Casserole - This is the signature dish of Chef Kavino Lau. I love the sauce, which is a combination of ginger, onion, and a special ingredient. It's a bit oily but still great to mix the sauce with the rice. The secret of this dish? They use Hongkong chicken, which is yellowish in color and has a fatty layer in between the skin and the meat.
Highly recommended! Don't forget to order it.
Mango Sago with Sea Coconut and Pomelo - To end the meal, they serve complimentary dessert (similar to Tao Yuan) in a small cup. Instead of spending on advertising for the restaurant, the owners decided to put the money in good service and surprises like free desserts and discounts throughout the week.
The complimentary serving was a bit bitin, so we decided to order one more. This is one of the best mango sago dishes I've ever tasted with its yummy addition of pomelo. Their version is creamier, with more liquid than the bits and pieces of fruits. I wish it had generous servings of sago, though.
I agree with something that the owner said, that the medals don't mean anything -- what matters most is consistently delivering really good Chinese food, only then can one earn the title "International Master Chef" in every first-moment encounter with the customer. :)
Overall, we loved IMC Kavino's unique-and-never-boring dishes! We will be back during lunchtime for their freshly made dimsum everyday. (Note: They don't serve dimsum left overnight).
