I Love Sarsa!! The best yung Isaw nila 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 You must also try their Kalabasa Chocolate balls for dessert. Super sarap 👍🏻
My favorite filipino food restaurant. Perfect for family gathering. I love the kare kare, isaw, sisig etc. never had an issue with their staff in Rada branch
Serving time took more than 20mins but their dishes are worth the wait!
Sarsa is always a favorite in our list of Filipino food options. Our visit in this branch was excellent because of very attentive staff and prompt serving of orders.
We had kansi, isaw, special batchoy, batchoy ramen, and crispy pancit (I forgot if this is batchoy or bulalo). I loved the kansi as it was close to the best kansi I have tried in Bacolod. Isaw was also the best as there was no bad aftertaste. I also liked the crispy pancit but did not taste the flavor it was supposed to be. Special batchoy was also good but batchoy ramen was too salty for me.
Overall, Sarsa did not fail in providing us good food so we will definitely be back on this branch.
Eating at Sarsa is always a good idea. Great food, awesome service and an overall great experience everytime. I love their isaw, sizzling kansi, coconut grilled liempo, twice-cooked pork belly and laing! I'm salivating just thinking about these dishes!
We ordered Sizzling Kansi, Sarsa Kare-kare, Criapy Tilapia, Coconut Grilled Liempo, Bugtaw-Bugtaw and Isaw. I would recommend their Sizzling Kansi and Coconut Grilled Liempo and will definitely go back for those two.
Not eating Isaw at all but Sarsa is an exception. Its chicken isaw was so good! This branch is spacious and good for any group lunch/dinner. Love their Lechon Manok Pancit Canton, too. This one's a different take on canton - it has egg, veggies and cornicks.
My all time fave. The best for me is their Crispy Hito sa Gata and Pansit (sa sobrang sarap walang picture) 😅 The serving size is good for sharing up 3-4 people and the price is reasonable. I love their wall decoration too and like Wildflour and Nikkei, it’s located along a quite street in Legaspi Village.
Sarsa Kitchen, provides old fashioned Filiipino Food in a new perspective. Providing new tastes for your tastebuds. Their take on Filipino cuisine is actually good and I would definitely go back here for round 2. I must suggest that you get the isaw and the gising gising. The fried chicken is quite amazing as well! Two thumbs up for sarsa kitchen!
Aah their twice cooked porked belly goes really well with the creamy gising gising! If you wanna have a hearty Filipino lunch, come to Sarsá!
This place represents everything Filipino. This is where we usually eat when we do have some expats visiting in the Manila office. Sisig, tilapia, bulalo were some of our orders. Funny thing here is that their isaw looks very thin as everything has been scraped from the inside. Overall great food.
Used to love their food, but their service is getting a bit lazy. For some reason, you also always leave smelling like food even if they don’t have an open kitchen.
Come for the batchoy, stay for the sizzling kansi. Definitely a 5-stars for me. You can't just have 1 rice with the sizzling kansi. Most items are also good for sharing. :)
Good solid Filipino comfort food and chill ambience. Be ready to have second helpings of rice because it just goes great with all the sauces of the food. Great for office lunch outs, just try and get a table early. The place fills up quite fast.
Sarsa is one my favorite restaurant because i love their cruchy isaw, sisig and my ultimate fave lapaz batchoy . My mom is ilongga and she cooks soooooo good. And yes kuha nyo ang lasa ng lapaz batchoy ng nanay ko 😉
Another great experience at Sarsa! This resto never disappoints, no matter where the outlet is. Here’s my list of forever favorites:
• karekare
• sinigang bangus belly
• gising gising
• adobong pusit
• sizzling kansi
• and of course, their famous isaw!
It was a good lunch experience with the team (yep, won’t eat more than 5 dishes alone, but note that I can. Lol).
PS. Sorry I don’t have pictures of everything, bec I was already starving. 😝🤣
I find this branch better than the one in Mall of Asia. I love the slight menu upgrade as well. The fish fillet with peanut sauce, torta talong, and batchoy ramen was really good. The tuna sisig was okay. Love the pumpkin dessert too and the warm condensed milk as its sauce. The ambiance of the place is really cozy and artsy. The price of the food isn't that steep and they have almost big servings so that's cool.

I like the ambience as it gives you the view of the Manila bay.
I love their iced tea i do hope that they can add a bottomless option on their menu.
Menu is composed of filipino food with a twist.
My favorite is the cruncy isaw!!!
Price is reasonable for the serving size!!
Since i work just nearby, almost every lunch out is spent here. I think i have tried almost everything on the menu, it’s crazy 🤣 anyway, if you want filipino food, this will do, although for most dishes the price is expensive for the serving size. I can say that everything is so tasty, especially the Batchoy.
The place is clean, though they don’t have wifi lol. Food is presented really nicely.

The real filipino comfort food!
I've tried sarsa in moa and rockwell, but this branch really stands out!
It was actually my first time trying this branch last week and I was amazed! It is the best sarsa branch for me in terms of ambiance, service and food!
The interior of this branch is really sophisticated. It is very homey and comfortable. It is clean and spotless from the inside and outside which really makes the restaurant very enticing to try.
The service is superb! The waiters and staff were all smile! They are very attentive to your every need. There is even this guy who was in civilian ( i guess the manager or owner? Hehe) who'd check up on us if we need anything. Their smiling face just makes our meal extra special.
The food was really good! They offer great filipino food with a twist! They often compare sarsa with manam. I tried both several times, and I can really say Sarsa is the winner for me.
Recommended food:
1. Sizzling kansi - their sizzling kansi is to die for! Their kansi is way better (in my opinion) than manam's. It served in a sizzling plate with a gravy like sauce with a hint of calamansi. It is really a game changer.
2. Brainy pork sisig - this sisig is one of the best sisig ive tried. Different texture plays in your mouth when you try this dish. Its crispy, tender and just delicious. You can't go to sarsa without ordering this.
3. Crispy tilapia - Its not your ordinary tilapia. I was hesitant of ordering this cause im not a fan of tilapia. But boy, sarsa knows how to cook tilapia! This is the only tilapia dish I can eat.
Overall, sarsa is one of the best Filipino restaurant for me! Its affordable and delicious! Great value for money!
My team took me out here for despedida (leaving for a new work at the Fort). It was my first time to dine here. The food was good. I think i would love to come back to try other stuff on their menu. I loved the dinuguan with chicharon bulaklak and their pork sisig.
The place was big and can accommodate reservations for team lunch/ dinner.
Fantastic service (let them know if you have food allergies)
Great place to bring foreign guests to try Pinoy flavors
Ambiance is brightly lit and relaxed
Their garlic rice goes the extra mile with garlic flakes
The place was nice but the ceiling could use a bit of work. Try the crispy dilis, but do so with rice on the side! The sisig and bihon guisado were also good. I’d definitely come back here.
Sarsa is one of the restaurants that understand the value of innovation. They know that customers are always looking for something new and refreshing. This is one of the restaurants where Chef JP Anglo reinvents Filipino and Negros dishes. Chef JP is one of the judges in PH Masterchef!
My last visit to Sarsa was around 10PM when most of the restaurants around Legazpi Village were already closed. The branch was softly lit. Its walls were decorated with tile patterns and chalkboards. The ambiance fits perfectly with Chef JP’s vision of giving modern twists to the cuisine.
You have to try their Isaw and Twice Cooked Pork Belly although I must say all the items we've tried have been impressive.
Solid gourmet filipino food. Presentation is nice for guests. Excellent place to bring foreign guests. Servings look a bit small but are actuallyy quite meaty. Nice not too salty taste for all their food.

Very busy during lunch time. Probably a good sign. However was not so impressed with their batchoy special. Very salty
Grilled sticks were good although not really substantial. Atmosphere/decor and service ok but nothing special. Polite as usual rather slow at lunch time. All in all not so bad to eat filipino food but not enormously attractive.
Settled on this place for a lunch meeting because this was the only place with available seating and I was surprised at how good the food was. Fare is simple& delicious. Like lola's homecooked meals. We had sizzling Kansi , which is like Locavore's Sizzling Sinigang but much cheaper. Oooh, the bone marrow!! Deadly!!! Chicken Inasal, which was my fave. Perfectly marinated and grilled and when paired with a dip of soy sauce, calamansi, and sili and eaten with chicken oil mixed in with the rice...you won't stop eating!! We also had grilled squid, which was average. Service is good, at par with that of high-end restaurants. Next time I'm in the area, you'd find me here again😊
Went here to have lunch with our team. The place is big and good for celebrations or get togethers.
Ordered the Batchoy, Laing, Isaw and Inasal. The food was fantastic! The staff were kinda busy since it was a peak hour which was kinda understandable.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The vibe is relaxed and on the dark side (which makes it okay for lunch dates). Price is okay too. Plus, the innovation on your staple Filipino food is amazing. Definitely, worth coming back for.
Loved the combo of oven roasted lechon kawali and laing (plus grilled coconut meat and pork rinds) 😍😍😍
Will definitely go back here. Friendly staff too.
Love the food, love the company! Sarsa had pretty good service and there wasn't a long wait either....
Over-ordered and got the following:
🔹 Pritchon pancakes
🔹 Sizzling kansi-- love!👍
🔹 Tortang talong
🔹 Inasal na pecho
🔹 Liempo-- with coffee and suka sauce!
🔹 Tuna sisig
🔹 Sarsa's kare-kare-- deconstructed!
Liked everything, save for the tortang talong, which I didn't touch... According to my brother it tasted like fish balls... #whut
Remember their serving sizes aren't too big, so you may have to get two orders of the same dish for big groups... Even so, it's still pretty affordable!👍
Went here for lunch today. It was my first time to eat at here. I found the place very inviting. Spacious and homey. Service was relatively quick despite the lunch hour rush. The food was ok. I found the Batchoy a bit too flavorful to my taste to the point that it almost tasted like someone placed sugar in it. The Liempo Pork Adobo I liked, though it didn't wow me. Would I eat there again. Yes I will. Maybe try something else. Afterall, they have five other branches that I could still visit. 😊
We ordered Poached Boneless Chicken Binakol, Brainy Pork Sisig, Crispy Tilapia, Bugtaw-Bugtaw, and Talongganisa. For dessert we had Kalabasa Choco Balls and Piaya Ice Cream Sandwich (Queso Ice Cream).
The two dishes that stood out for me are the Talongganisa and the Kalabasa Choco Balls. We initially ordered the Tolangganisa because we were intrigued by the name, but surprisingly the combination worked very well. The Kalabasa Choco Balls tasted like buchi that has chocolate filling in them.
One word: Talongganisa. Go get it, really delicious!!! I also liked the kalabasa choco balls and piaya cheese ice cream sandwich. Yummy!!! ☺
Quite expensive Filipino dish for the serving size. But I love there creativeness in serving their food. I love how they give twist in Filipino dishes and serve it with a style. I fell in love with their batchoy and piaya icecream sandwich. Such a flavorful soup to brighten your day.
Modern Filipino. Dishes were delicious and creative. We had the Liempo Pork Adobo, Pancit Canton and Sisig. 👍🏼 The Adobo and Sisig are highly recommended.
My companions were really happy with the food. Sarsa has always been consistent with the quality of food and the impeccable service. I always go back for the chicken isaw, ginamos rice and roasted kalabasa. I find the isaw a bit dry during this visit but it was still good. We also ordered liempo (didn't try it), crispy hito, batchoy (didn't try it). The ginamos rice and roasted kalabasa goes well with everything. I am not much of a rice eater but sarsa's ginamos rice is so good, you could eat it on its own, but why stop there when they have a ton of dishes to pair it with. Always a good meal in this restaurant.
Food here is a hit-or-miss. The sizzling kansi is a winner, but the rest? Meh. The pork belly was okay. Sisig seemed too oily, and so did the rice. Inasal lumpia was good, but it was hard to eat properly since the chicken chunks were so big, they kept falling.
It's a bit on the pricey side, considering the not-so-hefty servings but if you're hungry and looking for a decent place to eat, Sarsa will do.
The food is delish. It's just the service which is lacking. The waitstaff is attentive but undermanned due to the volume. The table next to us waited for 30 minutes for their order. Ours came in 20-30 minutes. We especially loved their laing, the crispy para and the isaw.
First time to try this Filipino inspired resto. We ordered Chicharon Bulaklak Dinuguan which was really good except that the chicharon were so few! They should have just called it Dinuguan because of that! The isaw was crunchy goodness but not the best I've tasted. For dessert, we ordered Mango Jubilee which is basically vanilla ice cream with mango sauce/purée on the side. All in all, it was an okay lunch.
Sarsa is one of our go-to Pinoy food places. Food is extremely gooooood!!! I really cannot think of anything on their menu that I do not like. Well, I haven't tried everything but a lot of the ones we have tried are perfect. Chicken inasal is of course a must. And get the isaw as well!!
Had dinner here. We ordered a best seller dish called sizzling kansi (sizzling bulalo). Not your ordinary bulalo with soup, this one is sauced with what they call batwan gravy. Perfectly tendered beef matched with a tasteful gravy. This dish is a must try.
Then we also had spicy fried dilis. A perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness. I can say thay I enjoyed this one the most. :D
We also ordered pork isaw which was also good but i think a little pricy for its servings.

Serves home made filipino dishes. I was surprised to see cornicks on their lechon manok pansit canton which was a weird twist for the dish for me because it didnt went well to eat the pansit and cornick at the same time. Their chicken inasal tasted delicious but nothing extraordinary, reminds me a lot of Mang Inasal's barbeque chicken but more expensive.
This place is such a great spot for a Sunday Family lunch, very cozy and relaxing.
Service - kid friendly. My son spilled his glass of water, servers were very quick to respond and had a smile on their faces helping clean up the spill.
Food - Very very pleased. It's one of those times when you say Oh, no I think i ordered too much. Nope, I was wrong. We ordered:
Crispy Squid in Milk - Surprised that it taste so good.
Sizzling Kansi - I would order this again definitely. All i can is pass the rice.
Chicken Paa Inasal - It was good, had better
Coco jam Marinated Grilled Liempo - This dish was terrific. must try.
Laing - So so, parang kulang, but i finished it so i must of like it.
Piaya Ice Cream - Terrific. Couldnt choose between Ube Ice Cream or Cheese Ice Cream so we got both. Could Choice.
Overall - Happy Busog experience.
Filipino dishes cooked at home are the best. Sinigang, Adobo, Kinilaw, Nilaga, Lechon Kawali, Dinuguan, etc. Each household has a different version, sometimes very different from what we grew up with but more often than not, just minor tweaks here and there. Restaurants who have ventured into serving Filipino dishes must have a lot of pressure in their cups. Imagine the challenge of having your fellow kababayans fancy the food you serve when they've been exposed to such dishes since birth. Creativity and play of flavors are important. Abe sure has made a name for itself. Then came Sarsa.
I was along Rada street in the Legaspi village and I saw this Filipino restaurant and I got curious about it. It may in the likes of Abe/Mesa/Manam, but I was a bit surprised with the price. The Crispy Garlic Porkchop was really good although I was scratching my head why it costs around 325 pesos for this? I can suggest that this place is better for big groups that maybe it has a more reasonable bill to play when you pay for so many entrees that you can taste and appreciate Filipino cuisine.
We ordered mostly their best sellers. One of their best sellers was the sizzling bulalo, the beef was tender and tasty, but one thing that I did not like that much was the molo soup. It was a little bit bland for me. Overall most of the dishes were cooked to my liking.
A really wide array of Filipino food with a distinct twist not quite like the usual. Sarsa is a great place for someone who has no idea what Filipino cuisine has to offer.
Offers contemporary Filipino-Ilonggo cuisine in an ultra chic-interiored restaurant.
Food:
Isaw - It tastes clean and nice. It has a surprisingly crispy exterior but really tender on the inside. it matches well with their perfectly chilled beer.
Tortang Talong with Crispy Sardines and Kesong Puti - I think the Kesong puti was irrelevant and was so quiet in taste. The sardines was sleeping. it just made a very slight impact towards the tail end. The condiments that come with it, seemed mandatory to create a story. I think it was mixed with too much egg that it overwhelmed the taste of the eggplant. I dont recommend this dish. The talongganisa might be a better choice.
Chicken Inasal sisig - awesome stuff 👍🏼. For me, its even better than the original pork sisig. The inasal flavor brings a new vibe to sisig. Dont forget the ice cold beer.
Ginamos Rice- almost at the toasted or "tutong" level plus mixed with ilonggo sweet bagoong. Suggest to have some green mango with it as it can be too sweet
Sizzling Kansi - It's pretty much sizzling bulalo. The sour (batwan gravy) aftertaste made it a bit unique from all other sizzling bulalo in town. The gravy is buttery, garlicky, and tastes very filipino (if you know what i mean). Not much to dig up in the marrow.
Service:
Good service. Attentive waiters. Product knowledge.
Price- a bit expensive for Pinoy food if your.. Pinoy. But ambiance and service plus a little bit of a twist on the food made it pricey.
Ambiance - contemporary filipino.
Sounds were chill and modern.
Would love to hear what my ilongga lola would say about the food.
Erwan was right!
I was in Sydney watching TV when I saw a short clip of "The Best Thing I Ever Ate: Philippines" showcasing Sarsa's Sizzling Kansi. Erwan made it sound so good that I made it a point to visit this hidden gem as soon as I got home. Lo and behold, the bone marrow dish did not let me down! Had it with white rice-- so good! But make sure to consume it swiftly or else you'd just have a plate of sebo. Really tasty sebo, but sebo nonetheless.
Also tried the monggo-nisa. I expected a sausage like dish, but it was literally monggo with longanisa. Not complaining, still good. It was a nice side dish to the kansi!
Highly recommended is the sizzling kansi which is what I always order when I’m in Sarsa. The sampaloc-based batwan gravy is delicious! This dish is a cross between bulalo and sinigang – beef shank (including bone marrow!) in sampaloc sauce. Truly the best of both worlds!
The first time I’ve eaten isaw (chicken intestine) was in Sarsa and I never forgot how incredibly good it was! I highly recommend this to everyone.
I have also tried the kinilaw, pritchon pancake with hoisin chili sauce, chicharon bulaklak dinuguan, chicken inasal sisig, and sizzling adobong pusit but nothing beats the sizzling kansi and isaw.
To fully enjoy Sarsa’s dishes, I suggest ordering just plain rice. The ginamos (bagoong) fried rice is good but it’s too overwhelming and somehow competes with the other flavors. For the drinks, the strawberry banana shake and the buko guyabano shake are quite nice.
Tried a Saturday lunch after shoot, we arrived before the lunch rush. You can see pen writings of what they're offering on the restaurant window which are colorful and inviting. The ambiance was nice but it was pretty familiar like an ordinary resto ambiance but the wallpapers were a nice touch. I think it lacks decoration, like maybe modern pinoy cultural designs? We got seated in the middle part of the resto. We ordered Pritchon Pancakes with Holsin chili sauce f(P270) as appetizer and Twiced cooked Pork belly (280) with inamos gata and chili garlic sauce for the main course. The pritchon pancakes which was basically pork meat with lechon skin wrapped looking like a humble fresh lumpia. It was good even without the sauce. The twice cooked pork belly was way better than the appetizer. The "gata" was the winning taste paired with the pork belly, it gives a whole new level of modern Filipino taste. It was a well made guilty pleasure.
The tables are neatly set for the customers. One thing i like about this resto is the twist they are giving to Filipino all time favorite dishes. We had chicharon bulalak dinuguan, but was disappointed that there is only 1 piece of chicharon bulaklak in that meal. The sarsa special la paz batchoy was to die for! I am not a fan of batchoys but this one got me. The drinks are not that special tasting. It was a very normal shake that we had.
Amidst the busy streets, right in the heart of Makati, lies a simple yet pretty restaurant named Sarsa Kitchen. The venue itself is really not that hard to find (Just near Legaspi Village). When you want Filipino cuisine with a twist, you came to the right place. The overall ambiance feels like a great place to hangout and be with friends. I personally loved their BLUE walls :) their details and placement complements the whole place. It is best if you reserve seats because of the small space and it tends to become crowded as the night progresses. As for the food, one of my recommended dish, so far, would be their Sizzling Bulalo :) not your typical Bulalo swimming in broth with veggies but just a piece of meat served in a hot plate. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food but the serving not so much. I can say that my experience was enjoyable and I would love to go back and try the other dishes.
At last, had the chance to try this resto for it was always jampacked. We ordered the sizzling bulalo and kare kare. Unique taste and interesting versions of classic Filipino favorites. I will definitely return and try the other food listed.
Sarsa Kitchen + Bar is a restaurant located in Rada Street, Legazpi Village, makati City. It offers Filipino dishes with a twist from Chef Jayps. I had the chance to visit the place for a lunch out with some officemates. They personally recommended the place since it is a bit new within the area.
I've learned about this restaurant thru CNN Phils, as they featured Chef JP Anglo. What captured my curiosity was the "crispy isaw" because I'm a fan of the street version. Then the following week I went to their Makati branch .i love the theme of the restaurant with the old folder as their menu. The food were unique and ingenious,Negrense dishes and treats given different touches. What I can recommend are the sizzling kansi, the liempo with pinakurat and coffee sauce, the piaya ice cream as dessert and my favorite crispy isaw.I've tried both Makati and BGC branches,I reviewed this Makati branch because it was the first branch I went to.If you want Filipino dishes with a twist this place is for you.
Loved their isaw, inasal sisig and the awesomest sizzling kansi! Can't wait to try more on their menu. The restaurant's packed when we were there because it was a work day and it was lunch time but the place was well-ventilated. It was actually pretty cold.
Amazing food! Their chicken inasal is very flavorful. Isaw was very unique, unlike other isaw that has stuff inside the intestine, this one is flattened out and brushed with chicken oil.
I love the Kansi and Kare Kare. The kansi had very soft beef and it melts when put in the mouth. Kare kare was deconstructed but that meant you can really taste each element in the dish.
Sarsa is one of the greatest Filipino restaurants I've been to. They created flavors that were unique and yet familiar to Pinoy's taste buds. Their dishes are the result of creative innovation of the usual comfort foods that we grew up to. Will definitely visit Sarsa again soooon! 👍🏽

First time to dine in their Makati branch and the ambiance, although quite similar to the one in BGC, just had a different vibe to it.
It was my first time to treat my marketing team for a dinner and I'm glad that they all enjoyed the food in Sarsa.
The food in Sarsa is quite similar to the flavors of the food back home - maybe because Negros and Cebu are just within the Visayas region.
I ordered my usuals - Sizzling Kansi and Gising-Gising and added new dishes that I have yet to try - Pritchon Pancake, Chicken Inasal (Pak pak and Pa-a), Crispy Pork and Adobo Flakes, Twice cooked pork belly and Sarsa Kare-Kare.
I fell in love with the Pritchon pancake - the slices of fresh cucumber was a refreshing surprise to the great combination of pritong lechon, hoisin dip and pancake wrapper. Great appetizer.
I didn't get to try the meat in the kare-kare but everyone in the team gave the meal high praises. Their Kare-Kare isn't served like the usual kare-kare - it was deconstructed which made the veggies still crisp and not soggy. I don't eat my kare-kare with bagoong so i couldn't tell if their bagoong was delicious.
I know chicken Inasal is probably one of the restaurant's star since the Chef/owner is from Negros but sad to say, I had better ones. Plus the price is waayyyy expensive for inihaw.
The Crispy pork and adobo flakes with Kesong puti was too good as described on the menu but it came out mediocre. Same with the twice cooked pork belly. The pork belly had a good marinade but they still served two kinds of sauces that for me was an overkill. Do not expect too much from these dishes.
But over all, Sarsa is a must try restaurant and I still think its one of the best in the Metro.
It's my first time to try Sarsa Kitchen + Bar with my family. To be honest the food does taste good but I don't find anything special with it or maybe just the food that we ordered i don't know though I am satisfied. I like that they put twists on their dishes to make it different. All the food that we ordered were good but the Sizzling Kansi was soooo good even my picky little brother likes it. I was kinda sad that they don't have wifi but it says here on Zomato that they have so i don't know what happened haha but overall it was a nice feast!
Authentic Filipino dishes with bursting flavors. Not your typical Filipino restaurant. Food is excellent, staff is nice, ambiance is homey. They serve wine upon request. I just wish they'd open until midnight.

The Bacolod Express is delightfully sinful with all that crispy pork cutlets mixed with creamy tasteful 'gata' sauce. Their chicken tail or 'isul' perfectly grilled and I've tasted its scrumptious 'inasal' marinade. Good comfort food served. 😋
If you're looking for bold and intimate Filipino flavors, this restaurant is the answer. The ginamos fried rice alone is worthy of a 5 -star review. So good. Also worth mentioning: the minute we walked in, the beguiling smell of the place helped build up our appetites and anticipate the food they're about to serve us. And they did not disappoint. We had the sizzling kansi, inasal sisig, and lechon pansit canton – all of which oozed with so much flavor and quality.

Back at one of my favorite restaurants for the best isaw ever! Hands down. I always find comfort in their tasty and delicious home-cooked dishes. Sooo good!
Since I've had my solo trip in Bacolod, I have always been a fan of Negrense dishes. That's why Sarsa Kitchen is a must try if you also fancy inasal, piaya, batchoy, and sorts! What makes Sarsa unique is that they go contemporary with their dishes as they reinvent Negrense dishes into a unique kind. I've first tried Sarsa on their first branch at BGC and luckily they opened in Makati in Rada St which is more accessible for me.
The Ambiance (4/5)
I love their wallpaper which makes the place look sleek and inviting! Better than the BGC branch for me. The long tables is good enough to accommodate a big group for the whole family and barkada. They also have tables for a small group which is on the innermost of the resto near the cashier area.
The Food (4/5)
For a streetfood lover like me, you can try their "isaw" or chicken intestine (P165) for 3 sticks, though small for it's size which will make you crave for more. For appetizers, we also tried their "Pritchon Pancake", it's a combination of meat, cucumber & chili rolled in pita bread with hoisin sauce. This is like a version of Vietnam spring rolls. For our main course, we had "Inasal Sisig" which is a crowd favorite here. Quite spicy but tolerable and you bet you'll want to pair it with a beer. We tried Sarsa's version of bulalo soup or known as "Kansi" in Negros. It's tasty and comforting but the broth is a little bit spicy. Their "Pancit Palabok" is mixed Sarsa XO sauce (garlic, chili & dried fish).
The Experience (4/5)
One of my favorite Pinoy restaurants and I would recommend it for balik-bayans who miss our home-cooked food. Well, I just brought my sister and hubby here. One of my comfort foods especially when I miss Bacolod.
Sarsa Kitchen + Bar wanted to introduce elevated Ilonggo cuisine to Manila palate, and it did just that with amazing success. Sarsa, to this day, continues to be one of the most popular restaurants in Metro Manila. It's always packed with people and the waiting line doesn't seem to disappear. It does help when your chef is none other than Junior MasterChef Philippines judge JP Anglo.
Here's what you can expect from dining at the popular Sarsa Kitchen + Bar.
Order the Kansi soup (not the sizzling one) when dining here!!! -- That is if you don't mind tender beef bulalo that has sinigang soup. Share it with someone or 2 friends.
Sarsa is a modern Filipino cuisine restobar sitting in one of the highly visited food spot in Makati, the Legazpi Village.
The menu offers a wide-range of Pinoy best-eats from different provinces such as kansi, pasayan, pinakbet, bacolod chicken inasal and the like.
We got ourselves loving their pritchon pancakes with its meaty and veggy combination perfect to awaken your appetite. The inasal sisig and isaw were also a must order with its delicious twist.
Must visit again and try other Pinoy modern dishes!
