I was here Sunday last week and I enjoyed the soy flat white although their soy milk didn't taste anything like Bonsoy unless it was off but I did not have digestive issues afterwards so all good. I also ordered the scrambled egg on toast and asked to replace the usual brioche with sourdough toast. Although the toast was lovely and crunchy, their scrambled eggs and the oil they used to cook it was of cheap quality. I guess I just expected that they would use good quality eggs and olive oil considering they claim the Tobys Estate brand. Hence, the 4 star rating. The place was relaxing and cozy so I got to do a but of reading.
What I had:
Long Black
Creme Brulee Cheesecake
What I Liked:
The relatively light ambience and atmosphere situated in the middle of one of the busiest streets in Makati makes it a haven for those who want to grab a quick snack; note also that there are comic books in the stands! The long black goes well with the sweet, sweet (but not-too-sweet) Creme Brulee cheesecake.
The finest coffee I had in the world. The machinery, the beans, the milk, every thing was selected thoroughly and when all ingredients mixed perfectly by a well guided barista the results are perfect
Been craving their tuna sandwich which first tried during the latter part of last year. And I was not disappointed when I came back! It tasted oooh sooo yummy just as how I remembered it! 😍 The tuna filling is overflowing (in a good way) haha! And actually, the best part are the tiny little potato chips!! With which I dip in ketchup 😂
We also ordered their hot mocha. Nice latte art. But the coffee wasn’t served that hot though.
Everything else was fine. Their staff are really friendly. 👍🏻
As someone who loves Specialty Coffee, I can say that Toby's Estate is one of those who was booming when the Specialty Coffee became a trend here in the Philippines especially in Metro Manila.
And the Toby's Estate here in Legaspi Village is one of my favorites 'coz of the cozy space and I can somewhat have a workplace 'coz there's a spot for people who goes solo like me.
My favorites are their Long Black and Banana Bread slice. Their beans goes well with my favorite pastry of theirs.
The Long Black is strong but at the same time you can have a taste of nutty and an after taste of a Rooibos Tea. Not to mention, I like the Banana Bread Slice because you can really taste the Banana and its soft but not crumby at all. And it comes with Walnuts too.
I also appreciate the staff who are so helpful and never fails to put on a smile on their faces.
Went to toby's estate and falt white is great. The bruce bogtrotter cake is too sweet and quite big portion (good for 4 people dessert!) Icing is tempting and definitely chocolate overload! We love it.
Very peaceful neighborhood cafe vibe. The coffee is great and they tend to serve specials depending on the season. Love this place and always find myself dropping by to chill.
What a nice chill place to have lunch esp the Wagyu Burger. It's super tasty and just the right size. Also, I go to this branch at least 3x a week for their dark chocolate cookie - it's become my after lunch snack. It's chewy and dark and nothing compares.
I own a dog and it's great to have a place like this.
However, I wish the waiters and food preparers were as efficient as the folks in Starbucks. They don't move fast even for takeout espresso and takeout cookies. What gives?
I love love love Toby’s Traviata. Perfect breakfast combo with macchiato and a slice of banana bread! I’ll be back and order these again. Toby’s Legazpi Branch has a cozy atmosphere
I like hanging out here because it's quiet and clean. I also like its interiors, save for the open kitchen. Toby's serves verrry strong coffee (I'm an occasional coffee drinker); there's also a variety of pastries and full meals (tho somewhat pricey). Note: there's a service charge.
I consistently go back here because their coffee is so damn good! I usually order the Gibraltar (off the menu - double shot espresso with milk, perfect if you need a quick pick me up), flat white, and mocha (I don’t usually like chocolate in my coffee but this is an exception). They serve quality food too that they make fresh unlike other coffee shops where they usually just microwave it. Lastly, the staff here are really friendly and attentive which makes the place feel all the more cozy and inviting.
Review as of July 2018
Toby's Legazpi is a gem when it opened a few years back. I'm not a coffee drinker but my sister is so we love how their coffee and non-coffee drinks are both quite nice. The ambiance is just perfect to wind down after a busy workday and has become our Friday habit (so long as we aren't busy)
Items on the menu I've tried, recommendations are marked with a star (🌟):
- Flat White 🌟
- Chai Chocolate 🌟
- Mango, Strawberry & Toasted Almond Belgian Waffle 🌟
- Bagel
- Cookies & Cream Buckies
- Mushroom and Steak Pie
My own musings: I always find that it's a bit tricky to do reviews for cafés, I never get to try their meals so my photos can be quite monotonous just taking photos of the drinks
Toby’s is the café for long conversations and a good place to catch up with friends. Besides their strong coffees, their pastas too are worth a try. Ordered Mushroom and Chorizo which were both good plus flat white on the side.
it's my first time have my breakfast here, actually it's quite good place, ambience is nice n cozy also, not too many people here. food that they serve is fresh from the oven n taste well. also the coffee, but the choice of coffee are not too many..

One of the best coffee shops in Legazpi.
Very relaxing ambiance witht the view of the legazpi active park. Best place to have morning coffee while reading the newspaper or afternoon catch up with friends. Gives you that "good life" feel.
Their coffees are undeniably great! I love their cappuccino! Their bagels are also to die for! (I just hope they toast my bagel a little bit more next time)
good to have after dinner esp when you like strong coffee (just the one we ordered, depends n your taste of course). good place for study as well.
💕Date for Two: Iced Mocha
💌Total: P340
Overall: Last week while we’re walking at Legaspi Park towards a specific coffee shop in mind, we passed by Toby’s Estate tucked under a building, exteriors are very inviting and we can still see a lot of vacant tables so we ditched our original plan and just stayed here. We were right about our decision. This must be the most peaceful branch we’ve tried. Chairs are the comfiest and service is quite good. We ordered Iced Mocha as usual. And as expected, it’s always consistent, always the perfect blend. 😌
Value for money: Worth it!
#DateForTwo at Toby’s Estate
My siblings and I passed by Washington Sycip Park in Legaspi Village, Makati when we spotted a Toby’s Estate. I heard that their flat white coffee was noteworthy, so I decided to give it a try. We were lucky to have made it right before closing time. It was only too bad that I was unable to try their French Onion Soup because I like sampling that dish in different restaurants. Still, my order was tasty and filling enough that I am content. Here’s what I had:
White latte is a best recomended coffee in toby estate. It was a perfect combination between coffee and milk. Less foamy. Excelent latte art and combine with very good service experience from the staff. Its perfect night

Exhausted after Photowalk with a friend, we decided to try something new and grab some Chai Chocolate 🍫 at @tobysestateph near Legazpi Park.
The place is cozy with great interiors. Added to this, great choice of songs, especially when they randomly played Lany Musics, that adds to the place to be more relaxing. I do really love the wall designs very classy.
Will definitly go back here! #MustTry! ☕️✨
I am not really into coffee but I have to say that this has been the best coffee I have tasted so far. Not bitter, so well blended and smooth. Wish there were more space for tables though. Coffee wise, I recommend trying this coffee shop.
It was a small branch. The coffee is good and I really like the dark choco brownie because its not sweet. They also serve pasta dishes, though we didn't order since its too pricey. The place is clean and the interior design is quite nice.
Dine-in:
+ cold, cozy, lit nicely, ample space for dates/group dates (max 4 chairs per table), high chairs near the wall, MANY food options, good service, mood-setting music
- none
Beverages:
Chai Chocolate
+ good chocolate and the chai's mild, perfect to let the chocolate stand out more
Hot Chocolate
+ just as good as Chai Chocolate
Bucky's Original:
+ big, sweet, shareable, slightly crunchy outside, soft inside
- good but nothing extraordinary, took awhile to be heated yet it was only slightly warm, too expensive despite the big size
A comforting cafe experience...
Brunch with a friend at TE's on a Monday is nothing short of relaxing. The store was quiet and inviting, none of the coffeehouse din you will usually encounter.
We both decided to try items from their seasonal menu. I had the salami and cheese croissant, which I thought was okay. It had a lot of alfalfa sprouts (reminiscent of Almon Marina!), which kinda blunted the taste of the pepper salami. The cheese was a nice complement though. I tried some of my friend's linguine and I have to say I preferred it to my order. I like the rich tomato sauce with lots of olives! A little salty, but I liked it. Whichever you may prefer, one thing is for sure-- they definitely do not scrimp on the ingredients!
I stuck to my love-- the iced mocha and encouraged my friend to follow suit. I also recommended the pistachio cheesecake (knowing she isn't too fond of sour/tangy desserts)... Happy that she enjoyed both of them...
Honestly, I wish TE's baristas would be a little more cheery-- I always notice that they are not too accomodating (even in other stores). But I'm still loving Toby's vibe and their coffee...
Nice ambiance, yummy pastries and great coffee!
• Calamansi Pie (P190) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
• Iced/Hot Mocha (P160) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Haven't had the chance to try their food (will do it soon!).
Tried their mocha and their pistachio cheesecake, both were pretty good. The mocha was nice, I can't say it's my favorite mocha but it's still well worth having. Not the greatest idea to have it at night though, I was up until 4AM that night because of it. The cheesecake was nice, and a very generous slice, if you like pistachio then it's definitely for you.
Coffee adventure is are hobby when early for meeting in Makati. On this day we went for one of our fave Toby's Estate! They open early so its a perfect place for coffee and breakfast before meeting. I got my quick fix of their Salcedo Blend Flat White. Perfect white foamy with the delicious strong kick of the salcedo blend. For my breakfast got my Bagel with Bacon cream cheese. Love the bits of bacon and delicious cream cheese. Perfect way to start the day.
For this branch I love the quiet atmosphere since its quite hidden in one of the building. Subtle relaxing light and spacious. Love this branch.

Been there a few times for sandwich or pasta. Elegant, aimed at young professionals working in the neighbourhood. Good service pay, number attribution and served style. Atmospheric music. Mediterranean sandwich is good. Classic chicken salad sandwich less so. I like the chorizo pasta. I am told that lentil stew is good but did not try. Coffee is good and BROWNIES ARE MEANT TO BE THE BEST IN THE AREA. They are good but can't be entirely sure about that. Limonade is ok but little quantity. Delivery not very fast to say the least. Obviously this is not Jollybee! Price is more like 500 is you take juice or something and 800 is you include coffee and dessert!
If you're looking for a great coffee place, try Toby's estate. Their carefully crafted mocha's are the best in the market. The temperature and the flavor is just right. They also serve breakfast food and some pasta's.
Toby's Calamansi Pie is still the best citrus infused dessert in the metro. No one else come close.
Semi-sweet, tangy, smooth and creamy. The citrus flavor of the Calamansi stands out. This makes the pastry extremely addicting. It goes well with the nutty crust.
One of best coffee roast I tried along with Tenant Manila and Ristr8to in Thailand. Love it. Food is a bit disappointing and the lack of wifi kills the nice atmosphere to work with even plugs around. That's why I give them 4.5 - Aside those it's one of the best chains in Manila without a doubt.
We ordered coffee and desserts. For coffee, I'll give it a 5 because they're the only legit coffee in town. For food, I'd say 4. The place was really good. Location is amazing because I only need to walk 5-10 minutes from home. After coffee, you'll only need another 5 minutes to get to Greenbelt area 😊.
7 in the morning. I like how this place is well lit. Ordered a flat white, iced. For breakfast I got the salmon and cream cheese bagel. Delicious. Moderately heavy for me at least. Plating could've been better but i guess they were going for a minimalist presentation. Ordered some brownies as well, to go: the original and bugs bucky. Both were delicious but I prefer the latter. Carrot, cream cheese, moist goodness. So good. All in all, good cafe.
Guests will receive a profile card for every order of the following Single Origin brew: EthiopianKonga, Mt. Kalatungan and Costa Rica El Jaguar. Single Origin info cards are available at the following Toby’s Estate locations:. V. Corporate Center. Whitespace Manila. Shangri-la at the Fort. Senta Condominium
The specialty of the place is their coffee but since I'm not a coffee drinker, I truly can't properly judge this shop. I ordered a simple latte and to my non-coffee-drinker taste buds, it was too strong so I had to add two teaspoonfuls of sugar. Eeeep! Aside from coffee, they serve pastries as well (Bucky's fudge brownies, cakes, etc) and pasta, too. A bit expensive for coffee shop standards, though.
I just found my favorite Toby's Estate branch! I was told by the staff of Purple Oven who was right next door that I could bring my Banoffee Pie inside Toby's to have it with my Flat White. We were skeptical but true enough, Toby's staff didn't say a word about it. Favorite cake with one of the best coffees in town to start the weekend. Hooray!
For desserts, we headed to one of our favorite coffee place in salcedo. They have very roomy place -high ceiling, comfy seats, and modern interiors -perfect for group post meal chats or just simply studying or doing paperworks alone.
This isnt my first time here, so i know what to order.
Trust me their calamansi pie is to die for -its tangy sweet melts in your mouth custard is ❤❤❤. We also tried their pecan pie -its too sweet for me, but it is loaded with pecan nuts.
We also ordered their capuccino and hot chocolate. I love their coffees -its strong, clean, and smooth.
Had brunch here with a few friends last Sunday and while we decided to confuse ourselves first between this branch and the one in Salcedo, we certainly found ourselves a great discovery. Parking along the street is free during the weekends so that's a big ✔. I only had the Hot Mocha drink P160 and a plate of beef nachos P295. The batista could've done better by putting the coffee art on the right side of the cup. Nachos? Excellent 👌 Must try the other dishes!
WHY IS EVERYTHING IN TOBY'S ESTATE SO DELICIOUS?!?
Seriously, each visit, no matter which branch, never disappoints. From the coffee selection, to non-coffee drinks, snacks and sandwiches - everything I've tried so far is OMG sarap! Toby's Estate is officially my FAVORITE coffee place. Period.
This branch is huge and soooo nice! White tiles textured with wood installations, round tables, low drop lamps, cushioned chairs, big terrariums as table centerpiece, very cozy!
Since I'm so in love with Toby's Chai Chocolate, I got a hot cup for me and hubby, being the not so coffee fanatic, just got a Babycinno. My Chai Chocolate was perfect! Very chocolaty, sweet with a good kick of chai. It was soothing and calming!
We shared two sandwiches -
| Grilled Cheese for 295Php - my pick. This was seriously good! A nice blend of cheeses - cheddar, gruyere and parmesan, in a soft and a little crisp ciabatta. This was served with homemade potato chips, that covered the entire sandwich, and a tomato compote on the side. Loved the gooey cheese! My sweet tooth though craved for some spiced honey, but that's just my preference.
| Salmon and Cream Cheese Bagel for 295Php - hubby's choice. This one was insanely good! Melt in your mouth smoked salmon slices on top of a good heaping of cream cheese, topped with pickled onions and capers in a soft black sesame bagel. Everything went well together.
Delicious and filling breakfast! Service was great too. They were always ready to refill our glasses with water.
Perfect place to study though it close at 10PM earlier than your usual coffee shop-library. Also a nice and cozy place to have small talk with your long lost friend. Very courteous and accommodating staff. Pets are allowed inside.
Solid spot for coffee. The thing I don't love is that it has a Starbucks-like atmosphere. Very sterile. Not a place to hang out, but definitely a place to stop for a good cup of joe.
Last time I had a flat white this satisfying was when I was in London, in one of those hole-in-the-wall cafes in Southbank. It certainly lived up to my expectations.
Bucky's classic brownie was a winner. I don't think I need to elaborate more on that; one will just have to see for him/herself to know why. I also ordered the grilled cheese and I was surprised to see that the serving was more than I could handle in one sitting. It was a pleasant surprise, as it came with quite the /lovely/ price tag. Three grilled cheese sandwiches stacked upon each other came with a flood of crisps and a cup of marinara sauce. I'd have to say it was worth the price. Plus, several cheese pulls whilst eating was a lovely thing to experience!
The ambience was perfect for a Sunday brunch, as the minimalist feel of the interiors appealed to me very much. Commendable customer service. Recommended for any time of day, and would definitely visit again.
Would usually dine here for coffee, but earlier was quite a delight to try their pasta and salad dishes.
House Arugula Salad - It was served with the freshest arugula and veggies. Everything was crunchy and tasty. The dressing was perfect blend; not too sweet and tangy.
Chorizo Pasta - My new favorite dish. Meaty and saucy. You could smell the aromatic chorizo bits which added delight to our overall dining experience.
Flat White - The best out there. Enough said.
One of the finer third wave coffee joints in the Metro Manila Area, I'm glad they have a Legaspi village branch in the Senta Alveo development. Yes I always order their iced flat white and I'm always satisfied regardless of the size. Their bucky brownies are equally good as well to compliment your coffee. I think Toby's doesn't have an wifi to allow you to have conversations over their good coffee and bucky brownies.
Ehhh pinunta ko dito Bucky's Brownies kasi malayo yung Paranaque for me. Eh nabalitan ko sikat yung Flat White nila. Masarap naman. Lasang kape naman na madaming gatas. So di ko alam pano ko i-rate to.
When you want artisinal coffee, visit Toby's Estate. They recently opened their newest branch in Makati, here in Legaspi Village. I first tried their Salcedo branch which was beside some restos so this Legaspi branch was less more crowded.
Ambiance (4/5)
I love their minimalist concept - sleek and clean. Also the time clocks in different timezones add up to the fresh interior.
Coffee (4/5)
As always my all time favorite is their Flat White wirh double shots of ristretto espresso and has a very little foam. They also have a varitiey of food and drinks to capture your taste.
Verdict
Might as well try the other coffees in their menu tomorrow.
This chicken curry pie is to die for.
OMG sooooo good! ♡♡♡
Love that they have ample sockets for those with lappies and absolutely love that place isn't too noisy. Finally found a place where I can do my Friday reports :)
Will be back. Defo.
I have to admit: the main reason I went here was that they serve Bucky's brownies. No need for me to wait for food fairs/events anymore. But the coffee (I had the Flat White) tastes great too.
Toby Estate is finally in Legaspi Village! I'm personally happy because it's closer to where I live, so it's another specialty cafe to choose from just a stone's throw away.
I had a Cappuccino (Php 130) and a Gibraltar, which were both quite tasty. It's the same quality you'd find in other Toby's Estate stores.
Ambiance was nice, but it's smaller and a but more enclosed compared to the Salcedo store. Service wasn't as good, as there was only one staff was present servicing a full cafe while I was there.
For more details, check my blog post on Toby's Estate.
Food Quality: 4.5
Service Quality: 3.5
Ambiance: 4.0
Overall Quality: 4.0

i used to pass by every night, until one fine day that i decided to try their coffee. i have to admit, of all coffees I've taste in Makati...i would rank them on my TOP 3 at the moment.
The best place to chill and catch up with friends in an intimate setting! Also, if you're feeling like you need some "alone time", this particular brand IMHO is the place to be!
Recommendations: calamansi pie and Gibraltar coffee (off menu drink).
Still the best coffee in Manila. Proper technique resulting in a great cup of coffee supported by a great ambience. Warm, cozy and inviting.
New branch of Toby's Estate. It is near Legaspi Sunday Market. It might be a bit difficult to find because there is no signboard.
Cappuccino was good but too small with that price (Php130). Very spacious and good ambience to be relaxed. But if I compare the coffee only, Motorino pizza's unlimited coffee is much better and value for money.
Another meeting and another awesome coffee place!! This time I was feeling a little hungry and ended up having a cake with the coffee. Had to get my #AwesomelyYummy Flat White with my first try of the Buck's N Cream piece of cake!
