Adorned with an abundance of ornamental plants, and flowers, and dressed in orhard, garden-like interiors, it's not that hard to miss Le Petit Soufflé as one passes by. It's pretty, and all dainty, as every corner was pretty much cohesively decorated with thematic outdoor elements. Fusing French, and Japanese influences in their cuisine, their menu boasts a curious amalgamate of techniques, and dishes from both distinct styles of cooking. I ordered their Croque Madame first, and it was good. I just found it weird that adding up an egg was optional. The ham was savory, while the runny egg lent that creamy feel for every bite. The cheese they used however, tasted common, and too simple for the dish. It would've been better if it had a more flavorful cheese, say, something more aged, or outlandish. Anyhow, that's just my opinion. As a follow through, I ordered a their Carbonara Soufflé. I have to say, I ordered this out of curiosity for how it looked. 🤔 It came to my table all twirled up with a huge froth of soufflé carefully cooked, and a raw, runny yolk in the middle. 😛 It was a beautifully crafted dish, and it felt more authentic than what most offer elsewhere, as the true, and authentic Italian carbonara recipe really calls for raw egg yolks as the main component of their sauce. The incorporation of dairy, or in this dish, cream, is of course heavily suggests the French flair they stand for. I poked through the tolk, and ate away. 😛 It was really good! 👌🏻 It was very flavorful too, something unexpected as most commercial carbonaras served in restaurants get drowned in dairy, that the savory aspect of the dish gets diffused too much. It had toasted bacon all over, no skimping on the cheese, and crushed cashew nuts for added texture. 👌🏻 A lot of thought came into making this dish, I could tell. Lastly, I tried out their Pancake Soufflés. I was iffy about getting their soufflés as personally, I never liked eating one. It could bore me out, as I feel like a soufflé is a mere egg white omelette, sweetened, and dressed-up as a dessert. 😅 But I thought to myself; "What's the point of visiting a place that specializes on something, and not try them out?" "I love pancakes too"; I added. So, I decided to order a Strawberries, and Cream Pancake Soufflé, and my, it was so pretty, I didn't want to touch it! 😆 It's pancake, but has the jiggle, and shake of a soufflé! The berries, and dollops of what I think was chantilly cream, topped with mint leaves made it look so damn pretty. 😍 It came with frothed cream, and maple syrup. Over-all, this visit was pleasurable. Did I enjoy? Definitely. 👌🏻 Their staff was welcoming, and accommodating from start to finish, and made the experience memorable. As for their price point, it might be a bit expensive if you are on a budget, but reasonable enough say, if you have something to splurge with. 👌🏻
