Kanin Club.

The line in this restaurant as always is long. This speaks highly of the quality of their food. People are willing to wait for at least 20mins just to get seated and be able to eat. Their crispy dinuguan is a must-try, a d believe it or not, their sigarilyas express. We also had crispy tadyang and liver steak which are also homeruns. I've been to multiple branches of KC and I must say that their quality of food is consistently good.

Nice restaurant for interestingly delicious Filipino food.

The restaurant is extra busy during lunch time as a lot of people who work in the are dine here. Well, most of the area are busy during lunch time so avoid at all cost.

Off peak though, it's a nice place to eat. The restaurant is designed to look like an old Filipino home which they've successfully done. Though I find it slightly darker than my previous preference.

The food is great like other restaurants of the chain. You really can't go wrong regardless of what you order. The only thing I hope they improve is the service. Sometimes they can be a bit slow.

Actually, I've been here twice, and in Westgate Muntinlupa once. Ordered my all time favorite Crispy Dinuguan with Sigarilyas Express and their Sinangag na Sinigang. Never a disappointment. See how I wasn't able to take at least a picture 'coz of excitement to eat everything. ❤👍

Kanin club was quite a surprise i never really tried eating here until my friend invited me to try their dunuguan with crispy chicharon mix . It was amazingly detectable because im not really fond of dinuguan. The ambiance also gives u the old spanish era interior that reminds me of my lolo’s house in the province. I do recommend you check this place out.

This is not just another Filipino restaurant. Not an exxageration, the crispy Dinuguan will make you forget your name! I would describe it more as cripsy liempo, chicharon, maybe even chicharon bulaklak mixed with pig’s blood. Their Thai Mango Salad is perfect accompaniment. Another dish you should try is their Sinangag na Sinigang. #musstry @kanin club

Me and my co-workers decided to take a lunch out for this resto. We ordered Laing, Rice, Liempo & Beef Steak and a whole lot more (I forgot the name of other foods we ordered).
The food and service are great and the prices are reasonable. The only reason why I didn’t gave it a 5 star is because of the waiting time. I didn’t anticipate that this resto actually is in full house mode in lunch but waiting for 30 mins is too much.
I would definitely be back here If I could, but maybe before lunch so that I don’t have to wait that long.

We always eat here when my colleagues need to celebrate something. Serving is best for large groups. Each food is good for 3-4 people.

I am not always a fan of Filipino food when I eat out (since my mom is the best home cook of Pinoy food) but I can say that they serve really good food. Not a fan of their fried fish though, it's a bit dry for me.

Place is usually packed esp on weekdays so make sure to get a reservation ahead. Average wait time for food is around 20 mins. So hopefully you are not super hungry when you dine here.

Ours Kanin Club favorites:
* bagoong rice
* seafood kare-kare
* pinakbet
* crispy dinuguan
* pork sinigang (not in photo)

TIPS:
1. Come early to avoiding the long waiting line especially on a weekday
2. Order plain rice as well as the flavored rice could be overwhelming and so that you could appreciate the great dishes they make

GREAT FOR:
Family celebrations and even dates

BUDGET: 350 and up for a group meal of at least three dishesh with flavored rice

It's always an effort to eat out at Kanin Club especially during lunch and dinner time. People would fall in line as early as 11AM, waiting to dine at 12NN or queue in at 5PM to be able to make it at the dining table by 6PM - that's for a normal day. I haven't tried during special occasion days as I don't want to trouble myself.

Why is it always like that? Because the food is great. Service is good too. Place is homey, it feels like you're just eating on one of your grandma's or auntie's place. It reminds you of home and of old times. Then food comes in and you just forget that you fell in line for a long time - all is forgiven. Kare-kare, Alige rice, Kangkong, Sinigang na bangus, Crispy Dinuguan - these are the dishes I always order and then some.

They offer different kinds of rice and Filipino dishes. We also get their Crispy Dinuguan which is a best seller. I do not eat Dinuguan but I did this time (and ate a lot) when we were here. Their meals are for sharing maybe for 2-4 persons depending on how big the appetite of the customers are. For us, 3 people can finish 1 dish given that there will be no other dishes to be ordered.

Great location too! After eating, you can walk around Ayala Triangle or drink coffee in the nearby coffee shop.

Our orders were served quite fast too. Not sure if it's because we had our brunch at 10:30 AM so there are no customers yet. When we're about to leave, the staff were already busy. So busy that we just had to leave our payment because we have to go already.

Overall, it's good. Good food, good location. Even their ambiance/interior is Filipino inspired too. This is a Filipino restaurant serving Filipino dishes with a twist.

We had the crispy dinuguan and pork sisig. I haven't had dinuguan in a long while and their menu said this was a must-try. It was basically crispy pork in dinuguan sauce. It was okay, the pork was almost like chicharon and cooked well. They were generous with the sauce too, sabaw kung sabaw. 😊 As for the pork sisig, medyo kulang sa timpla pero naubos naman namin. For me, both servings were good for two. We were there on a weekend and were originally seated near the door. Medyo masikip yung table for 2, lalo na pag dumating na yung orders. Kudos to their staff who asked if we wanted to transfer to a more comfortable table. 👍👍

Superb dining. Sinigang na Hipon knows what "Asim-kilig" meant. The Crispy Beef Ribs; tender and crisp. Great meal!

The place can accommodate a typical extended family and the ambience is okay.

The staff is not that attentive but at least polite.

Overall, a great experience. Would dine again.

It was only recently that I got to try Kanin Club. It's usually packed with people, and the waiting line would be so long so I'd eventually just decide to eat elsewhere.

But I finally got to try it and I must say, I understand the hype. A notable thing about Kanin Club is that they're the only Filipino restaurant I know that serves a wide variety of fried rice. It's one of the reasons I keep coming back to their restaurant!

The "ulams" are well-prepared too and they have a wide selection, so whatever Filipino food you're craving for, they're bound to have it.

Kanin Club makes you think of your mom’s home-cooked dishes with twists and surprises. Imagine, your usual dinuguan made crispy or who would’ve thought that leaves could be fried (crispy kangkong). It was indeed a treat!

Their spicy tahong with coconut milk was a winner; Nimm had almost finished everything by himself. We also had crispy dinuguan since it’s one of my favorites. The crispy pork binagoongan, however, was too salty for our taste. It was the first time I ordered it, so I’m not sure if that’s how they really prepare it or if there was just some miscalculation that time. We also had a platter of aligue rice which was good for at least 2 to 3 persons.

It’s been my third time dining there and this will always be one of the places I’d come back to.

Forgot to take a photo but we ordered chop seuy, lemon chicken, gambas and 2 cups of brown rice. The food was more than enough for 2 starving ladies so I'd say it's sulit.
The lighting was a tad dark for me but I like how they play OPM songs in the background, makes you feel nostalgic.
A good place for family gatherings and to take balikbayans and foreigners friends.

My friends and I tried Kanin Club for dinner and we ordered Tokwa't Baboy, Crispy Kangkong, Spicy Tahong, Camaron Rebosado, Sizzling Squid, Crispy Dinuguan, and Chopsuey. We were 6 in the group and we ordered more than we could stuff our bellies. The food was good and very flavorful. I liked all that we ordered especially the crispy dinuguan. I'd say that the dinuguan is a must try when eating at Kanin Club.

For the drinks, we ordered regular Lemon iced-tea and Green iced-tea and we were happily surprised when the drinks came in tall big glasses. The size is equivalent to large orders on other restos.

The service is good. Very friendly and accommodating staff. They immediately respond to our call and provide what we ask despite the resto being jam packed.

The ambiance is nice, too. I like the spanish-filipino style interior, and it's well ventilated.

Aligue Rice is good too.. but I suggest not to try it with the crispy dinuguan hahaha It’s HB combo. (health advisory) kidding.. 😁

The Pinakbet is just usual. And I don’t recommend it.

Whenever we have foreigner friends coming over in Manila and wants to have Filipino food, I make sure I bring them to Kanin club. Why? I specifically love their crispy dinuguan which is not a typical dinuguan, it's crunchy, not malansa and heavenly. I'd like them to try this very filipino dish of dinuguan. Personally I was not a fan of dinuguan bot until that one day that i was introduced to this place and this dish. From then on, whenever I happen to be near the area, I'd make sure to order a takeaway of this dish.

We also had hototai soup which surprisingly is so good as well. And other mains like kare kare and caldereta which are good too.

The service was great. Food was fantastic and very affordable. There were only 2 of us but we ordered crispy Kang kong, seafood karekare, ampalaya salad, chicken pork adobo and tinapa rice. Our bill was 1100. The servings were quite substantial. With the amount of food we got it would've been enough to feed 4. Their crispy kangkong came with no sauce or dip. We asked for vinegar but there was really no need, biting into them made us understand why. The crispy coating already had a tart savory taste. If you're on a minimal budget but want maximum mileage on taste, Kanin Club is the way to go. This branch at Ayala Triangle Gardens also gets plus points on ambiance. I'll surely be returning here again.

I am SO glad I got to dine at Kanin Club during my vacation. Everything was amazing! The sagot gulaman was deliciously refreshing. The crispy dinuguan was out of this world. All I can think of was 'This is happiness' with each mouthful. A must order! But the crispy liempo became a little underwhelming after tasting the dinuguan.

The service was also very polite and attentive. A bit soft spoken but maybe it's because the restaurant guests were loud and chatty.

If you're around Ayala, you gotta visit Kanin Club! I'll be back during my next vacation!

The place wasn't hard to find since it was in Ayala Triangle. This is always packed with people around peak hours, so if you want to come here, you better be here around 11am.

From my experience, I can say that you need a lot of patience for the waiting game on the food. You need 20 minutes or so, to wait for your order to come out unless it's Dinuguan, a specialty that's readymade.

A favorite Filipino restaurant!

We were thrilled with the following dishes: Crispy Beef Salad - a zesty meat-lover's salad! (Seems a contradiction but this is the Philippines!). Sinigang na Tadyang - beef ribs in sour soup. Kare Kare - rich and livened up by the bagoong! Itsi-bitsi- 3 types of beans sautéed with beef; yummy!

Only disappointment was the Lemon Chicken.

Halo Halo was the perfect happy ending

Visited Kanin Club during the ASEAN summit with my colleagues from Indonesia for a truly Filipino meal experience. We ordered a lot of items but would only highlight the items which everyone liked - Pad Thai (Php 320), Tinapa rice (Php 180), Binukadkad na Tilapia (Php 290) and of course Turon (Php 145) and Halo-Halo (Php 170)! Service was pretty prompt though the place was crowded however would admit that we had ordered in advance. We chose this place so that we could show the Ayala Lights but maybe it wasn’t such a good idea since we waited close to an hour for a table. But once we were in, it was great and everyone enjoyed the food!

💕Date for Two: Aligue Rice, Crispy Dinuguan, Crispy Kangkong
💌Total: P580

Overall: For our monthsary, we went for a quick lunch at Kanin Club at ATG. Been here many times and we keep coming back for the Aligue Rice. As their menu says, worth the 2-3 hours you have to spend at the gym. It’s our guilty pleasure! 🐷🐖The aligue is just all over, mixed and topped generously. Ughhhh even drooling while writing this post. Haha! Distraction aside 😂, for the meat, we chose their best-seller Crispy Dinuguan. At first, we thought of it as a dry meal but nope, it was a regular dinuguan but they used crispy pork (maybe it was chicharon, actually). Taste is fine but we don’t think this is worth 300+. We also had Crispy Kangkong. It’s good but should have been better if they spread the seasoning powder evenly, as some parts are too salty and the others are too bland. Nonetheless, we still had a good lunch, thanks to the Aligue Rice. Lol. And the Filipino instrumental songs played are a big plus. ❤️ it! Btw, be sure to come here around 11am for lunch so you can still get good seats.

Value for money: Worth it!

Did I like it?

Yessss. We had their Nilagang Baka, Crispy Dinuguan, Garlic rice, Sago't Gulaman, and Mango Shake. Their Crispy Dinuguan was superb! I never had Dinuguan taste that great but it was a bit salty. The broth of their Nilaga was hearty and I liked it. Serving was fair and staff were nice. It's a nice restaurant for family dinners and simple date nights.

Is it affordable?
We spent 1200 for all the food that we ordered. It's a bit pricey because that's only for 2 persons.

Will I come back?

Dined here at around 11 am after attending church service at Victory the Fort with my Family. The place is kinda small. For big groups make an early reservation so that you don't have to wait for 15-30 mins to be serve. Personally, i love their interiors. Para lang akong nasa province namin sa Mindoro! Hihihi. We ordered: Crispy Dinuguan, Kare-Kare, Fried Chicken, Ripe Mango Juice and Turon KC a la mode. Crispy dinuguan and kare-kare lacks of flavours. I didn't taste the peanut sauce in kare-kare. While in dinuguan, i only tasted it's saltiness. (Because of the pork's skin.) For me, dinuguan should have a sour-y taste and medyo may pagka-maanghang. The chicken is good. It smells like pandan! Turon KC a la mode is a must try!!! It's like you're eating halo-halo. Not too sweet, just right in taste. More power, Kanin Club. ❤️

Mushroom ala pobre - decent but will be trying something else next time.

Lemon chicken - very tangy. Don't order this if you like sweet lemon sauce. But otherwise, very decent!

Aligue rice - good! Can easily feed 3 people.

Note: Late Review

What i like about this restaurant is their consistency. The taste hasn't changed from the first day i tasted their dishes. They are well-known for their deconstructed dunuguan. Crispy pork cutlets stewed in pig's blood.

The star of the show is the laing. Taro leaves cooked in coconut milk. This is the best laing I've ever tasted, hence i keep coming back for more. The chef knows how to cook authentic laing, judging from the thickness of the sauce. Some say when you cook with coconut milk, you dont need to stir it - mahihilaw yung gata. I don't know how to explain this, but one would know if the gata is not cooked well, it leaves an iffy feeling on your mouth - an aftertaste of sorts. Truth be told, the laing needs a lil kick, a couple of siling labuyo to seal the deal.

The Abodo Mix is not the typical adobo. This one is cooked with atsuete (the red things found in small plastic packs, usually found beside laurel leaves). This is authentic adobo, don't be fooled, it is flavorful despite the lack of soy sauce. The chicken and pork is tender, cooked perfectly. It makes you crave for more rice, the richness of the sauce is a testament that soy sauce is optional when making delicious adobo.

Kanin Klub never disappoints, 4 stars for consistency.

Kanin Club in Ayala triangle is small. It took us one and a half hour before we got our sits (we are 14). We are in the waiting list at 11:30am and been able to go inside at 1pm. 😣 They have also limited tables inside, if they could only add additional long tables outside so they can accommodate more customers, because they still have big space.

Notably one of the best restaurants that serve classic Filipino dishes. I would usually dine here whenever we have balikbayans. So there we went with no hesitation.

We ordered the following:

Sinangag na Sinigang Rice - a full meal rice dish cooked in tangy sinigang broth topped with pork and fried kangkong. Highly recommended.

Paksiw na Bangus - a boneless milk fish treat that never fails to amaze my taste buds. I love sour broth and this dish fit the bill. Make sure it is served warm. The bangus was tender and fresh. Large e@nough to feed 3 pax.

Pancit Canton - typically cooked noodle dish; very straight to the point; it had generous sahog like chicken, liver, veggies, etc.

Food was given to us after 15 minutes or so, then we went back to the office without even checking the bag...

Oh my Lord, sobrang laki ng servings hindi namin kinaya. Literal yung Hototay asa isang parang malaking tub ng ice cream. Then the yung Sinigang rice... Surprise! Hindi din namin inexpect. And of course Crispy Dinuguan, forever bae 💯💕

I celebrated my birthday here last July 2016, and it was my first time to eat in this restaurant. I am a rice fanatic that's why Kanin Club easily caught my attention and curiosity. We ordered Seafood kare-kare, Tokwa't Baboy, and All-you-kanin hihi
The serving was okay, good for two to three persons. I like the taste of their kanin and the ambiance of the resto is good (lunch time). Over all, we were so satisfied.
That's why, out of the blue, while I was in Ayala Triangle last night, we thought of eating here again for the second time. We waited for almost an hour before we were finally seated.
This time, we ordered Aligue Rice, Crispy Dinuguan, Spicy Tahong, and Tuon KC for dessert. YES, Kanin Club never fails. All dishes were awesome, description of each in the menu were exact. The rice is good for 2-3 persons but we finished it and ordered 2 plain rice (rice addict!). Tahong was great too. For the Dinuguan, I can eat all day. But we weren't able to eat all coz their serving is huge. Turon KC, MUST TRY :)
Please, do try these dishes. No regrets at all :)

..before the movie at greenbelt, we decided to grab a bite here rather than the usual popcorn and soda pre-movie. i love its 'filipino-feels' and that rocking chair outside makes me want to just take my dinner plate and eat it there, hehe. we got the tinapa fried rice, chopsuey (wherein i nit picked the meat off so i can get the veggies) and the crab omelet was amazing. even if it was just eggs and crabs, it was a delight. they had the crispy dinuguan (w/c was no longer crispy) but the sauce was as they say fantastic. the portions are good to share (for four was okay) and the service was accommodating and friendly, probably because it was just us and 2other tables at that time.

A night before my birthday, me and my co officemates decided to go here to eat and since that it's a pay day... We ordered Aligue Rice, Chorizo Rice, Crispy Dinuguan, Lemon Chicken and Seafood Kare-Kare (and it's all good for 3-4 person). I really enjoyed the aligue rice and kare-kare they are perfect but then all are good. I also like the place, it's simple and yet can be elegant. Will be back here to try the other menu.

Two words: Aligue Rice.

True to its name, Kanin Club offers the most delightful version of mixed fried rice I've tasted in any Filipino restaurant. I super loved the flavor of Aligue Rice. And the seafood Kare-Kare as well. While I am not fond of quite a number of Filipino dishes, there was nothing disappointing in flavor and taste of the other dishes we ordered.

The place is great for group meals as it's right in the middle of Ayala Triangle and can really accomodate a good number of customers.

What we ordered: Crispy Dinuguan, Kare-Kare, Sinigang na Liempo, Lemon Chicken and Pancit Canton

We waited patiently for us to be seated inside Kanin Club. There were so many people and we were also a lot (14 pax) so we had to wait. Okay, first is the Sinigang na Liempo. It was just your typical sinigang, nothing special. It really just went well with our meal because we wanted some soup for our lunch. Lemon Chicken was just okay with just the right amount of lemon sauce. Bet we will not order that next time. The Pancit Canton had a big serving of veggies but we found it a little bit too salty. Their Kare-Kare was worth it though! It had a hearty serving of meat and "twalya" which went perfectly with the Bagoong. Also, it was not "nakakaumay". Last but definitely the BEST, the Crispy Dinuguan!!! We doubted its appearance at first because it didn't look that crunchy. But once you bite into it, you will find out that it's like crispy bagnet swimming in the dinuguan. This is a must try if you're going to Kanin club. And a little reminder, their unlimited rice was too much. Although its price was a bit too tempting, if you are not that confident, do not go for it. Trust us.

We'll definitely comeback! Don't forget to bring your friends because the food's perfect for sharing with big groups.

I saw a post of a friend eating something called "Sinangag na Sinigang" and I just had to search on it more because it piqued my curiosity, and luckily, there's a branch near our place for me try.

As a Filipino, I don't like eating Filipino cuisines outside because I know I can and my Mama can cook it the same or better without holding out on the ingredients, but the menu in this restaurant is unique because they took on the same cuisines we do at home and made it their own.

The Sinangag na Sinigang (Fried Rice Tamarind Soup), it's sounds like a Sinigang mixed in steam riced and served it like that but it isn't. The rice isn't soggy, the meat is cooked well done, and the vegetables that are coated in tempura mix matches everything on the plate, and this for me can be considered a meal on itself but this is actually under the rice category of their menu.

So we decided to order a viand, I would've gone with the Crispy Dinuguan (Crispy Pork Blood Stew) but my wife that was with me at the time of dining doesn't eat blood so went with their pork barbecue. The pork was a little too done for me since it's not juicy and but I love the marinate they used though it's a matter of preference since the wife didn't because it's a bit on the sweet side.

So only 2 of their menu and I'm giving this a perfect score because it's that just good, and just makes me wonder how good are the rest of their dishes. Definitely a must come back for me when I get home in the Philippines on my next vacation.

Had dinner with a friend craving for rice meal and this food place is the nearest. So got to try the place after several recommendations from my officemates.

We tried their Sinangag na sinigang and Sinanlay na Tilapia. First, the Sinangag na sinigang is intriguing as we saw it on the menu. It's fried sinigang rice (how can you fry soup?!). When I tasted it, it does not disappoint. It really is sinigang. The flavor and ingredients of sinigang is there. The serving is generous. The menu says it can serve two people but we wasn't able to empty the plate. I can say it can be shared by 4-5 light eaters. Next, the Sinanlay na Tilapia was tasty and creamy. The fish feels like Last Supper except that were only 2. It's huge. Maybe their serving is really generous. I think can be shared by 3 persons. The down side tho is that the fish used wasn't fresh enough.

I'll definitely be back to try their other offering and bring eating battalion to share it with.

Their best seller is the crispy dinuguan. Aside from that my faves are the mango salad, seafood kare kare, beef steak, sinigang, and the pinaputok na tilapia. Actually almost everything in their menu is a must-try. Long lines esp during lunch time, even if you go 11am. Value for money if you want to satisfy Filipino food cravings.

One of the best pinoy restaurant! I can never forget my 1st taste of their crispy dinuguan. It was amazing! I have been dreaming before of a dinuguan with that kind of cripy pork with it & Kanin Club made it possible. They also offer a large kare kare that I think is good or 3-4 persons. I also like their maruya with ice cream. One of my pinoy home grown restaurant.

'Twas my birthday last time and I looked for a Filipino food dining which led me to Kanin Club. There are lots of people during that night but praise God we're second from the queue, we just waited for a few minutes. The place was really a typical Filipino restaurant set-up looking at its interiors and the like. So here we are, we've ordered our food because we're pretty much hungry. And guess what? They never failed my tummy. Food was perfectly cooked specially the crispy dinuguan and salmon belly sinigang. It didn't make me doubt why this place is swarmed by people. A well recommended place to those who love authentic Filipino cuisines.

**PS. There's no birthday surprise/treat from Kanin Club😢😢😢

My friend recommended the Crispy Dinuguan paired with Sinigang Rice, and I must say, it's a unique taste - in a good way! Bursting with flavors - the sourness of the rice against the delectable dinuguan - something that i would definitely try again!

Kanin Club serves Filipino food with a slight twist. They try to be creative with their dishes to help capture the imagination and appetite of their diners. The crispy diniguan and seafood kare kare are my favorites. The crispy dinuguan provides a good contrast of tastes while the seafood kare kare just flat out gives you your sinful gustatory desires.

Had dinner here two weeks ago. We had Kare-kare - good thing we ordered just one dish because the serving is big. Plenty of meat and vegetables but we noticed there's no puso ng saging. Service is fast -we didn't wait long before our food was served. Food price is reasonable. Recommended for big groups.

I always pass by this restaurant along the restaurant lane of ayala triangle but it was my first time trying Kanin Club. I was not actually expecting too much because there were very few people who talked about this place but the food was actually good. There was no much distinct flavor on its dishes But it preserved the real taste of authentic traditional filipino dishes. My favorite was their laing because of its super creamy coconut sauce while managing to maintain the consistency of the vegetable. The crispy belly was quite hard and the kare kare lacked a bit of its peanut-ey flavor. The place is perfect for barkada dinner outs but be sure to book early because it gets jam-packed especially on friday nights!

Our team choose to have dinner here after work. The place really looks simple and classic with its interiors. Very Filipino. Their lightings were too dim and you could really feel the classic vibes.
The service was fast which is a big plus in promoting a restaurant. But the servings were quite small that will make you feel bitin. Their lemon chicken is very tasty as well as their crispy dinuguan. It's like a crispy isaw with dinuguan sauce. I love their crispy dinuguan more than the ones in Mang Rudy's. Those two dishes were the only ones I remember that night because those two were the ones that stood out for its taste.

Filipino comfort food at its finest!
The place will make you feel at home. It has
Filipino interior.
Crew immediately get our orders upon setting.
After almost 15 mins of waiting all of the food were served.
- Stuffed squid: one of my favorite! the vegetable inside the squid is a perfect combination, though the squid a bit rubberised to eat, but tolerable.
- Seafood kare kare: no need for the bagoong! The sauce of the kare kare is very flavourful!
- Aligue rice: aligue on the top of the rice is overwhelming. You can never go wrong with this.
- Tinapa rice: this is the top 2 when it comes to their rice selections!
- Crispy tenga: blood pressure killer! Hahaha. The crispyness is really addicting!
- Tapa ni Ana: it taste good but it taste like the normal tapa on a karenderya, nothing spacial.
- Turon ala mode: a perfect way to end the eating session. The turon has banana & other halo halo ingredients on the inside (ube, macapuno, red beans) top with not so sweet ube ice cream!
We finish eating around 7pm and a lot of customers are waiting outside.
Ove all, every money spent is worth it! Diet on this place is not recommended!

I love their sinigang na sinangag! When it comes to filipino food, Kanin Club can be one of the restaurants you can surely go to. I'm not a fan though of their bestseller which is the crispy dinuguan. In terms of service and order taking, a lot can still be improved. But overall, this restaurant for me is innovative yet offers good filipino dishes.

We had dinner here a few days ago to meet up with a friend who visited the Philippines from the US (she’s married to an American). It is almost essential that we eat at a Filipino-themed restaurant. I love eating at Kanin Club, and my visits in its other branches have been good so far.

We had Green Mango and Bagoong, and Hototai Soup to start our meal. The bagoong used in the mango was good. The soup was clean and not overpowering, and was bursting with vegetables. Our first batch of viands came in—Crispy Liempo, Stuffed Squid, Paksiw na Bangus, and Crispy Dinuguan (oh, we ordered Bagoong and plain rice to go with this meal). I enjoyed all the dishes that we had during this round. The liempo was bacon-cut and very crispy, and came with 3 different dips (I liked vinegar the best). The squid was cooked perfectly (not rubbery); the stuffing (I think it was chives) and the sauce gave it more flavor. The paksiw na bangus was just right, although it tasted a bit like simmered-down sinigang na bangus (but that’s just me). The dinuguan, well…this is one of the dishes Kanin Club is known for (same with Sinangag na Sinigang; more on that later).

A few more of our friends arrived, and a different set of dishes were ordered—Daing Rice, another order of Crispy Dinuguan, Bistek Pinoy, Gambas con Kabute, Pancit Canton, Sinangag na Sinigang, Lemon Chicken, and Crispy Pork Binagoongan. I have always loved the Sinangag na Sinigang of Kanin Club! It had pieces of pork and crispy spinach in it. My friend’s American husband and their two-year-old son loved it as well! The lemon chicken felt out-of-place for a restaurant that showcases Filipino food (well, we have a huge Chinoy community, so maybe that can be overlooked). In this next batch of dishes we all had a unanimous comment: most of them were very salty. The binagoongan can be forgiven, as it is expected to be quite a salty dish. Except for the sinangag and the chicken, the rest were all too salty for our palates (even the dinuguan, compared to the one initially ordered)! We noticed that we had to drink plenty of water after eating the dishes above.

This branch always gets packed during meal hours, as it provides good-tasting yet affordable Filipino dishes. I just wish that their chef will be aware of how the dishes he cooks taste like, so as not to compromise the overall image of the restaurant.

Will I eat again at Kanin Club? Most probably, but perhaps at a different branch.

I usually recommend this place to my balik-bayan and foreigner friends. Their selection of Pinoy food with a twist is best for those who are into hearty meals. If you haven't been here, make sure to try their Crispy Dinuguuan, Aligue Rice, Seafood Kare-Kare and Sinangag na Sinigang! Best if you come here early because the place is almost always packed with big groups. Last night, we had to wait 30mins to be seated.

Love their crispy diniguan. The rest of the food we ordered were just okay. I like the taste and crispiness of their fried chicken. I do not recommend the pork liver though. The Sweetness of the laing is too much for me. Generally, taste was above average for usual filipino menu but not remarkable enough to deserve a very good rating.

I cannot remeber how many times I've been here. If you love sinigang, you better try their Sinigang rice. It is super sour, just like a normal sinigang but it's just rice. The only dinuguan I ever ate was at Kanin Club's. I never really tried it but due to a number of positive comments, I finally ate dinuguan! No regrets! Also try their spicy tahong. It is so delicious, we had to order another serving. I don't know what Kanin Club did to me, but I keep coming back, ordering the same thing. Definitely one of my favorite restos.

The name itself is already catchy, and expectedly, gives one an idea that this restaurant serves Filipino dishes. A browse of the menu reveals a very interesting selection of classic Pinoy food, most of which having twists. My favorite is their signature dish, crispy dinuguan, which combines the crispiness of lechon kawali/chicharon and the delicious, acetic taste of dinuguan. I've also tried the patola in olive oil -- that's bringing the ordinary vegetable commonly encountered only in "misua with patola" to a higher level. The lomi, with lots of "sahog", is a must-try, too. The scenic view of the Ayala Triangle park adds more fun and an al fresco ambiance to the dining experience.
