Authentic Indian food! I really loved the ambience of the place, the food and its friendly staff :)
A Class resto for finest of Indian Food !
10 on 10 for the taste n Service.
A must visit resto on ur Manila trip !!
Authentic Indian dishes. Excellent food, service and ambiance. One of my favorites Paneer matar - tastes so fresh and yum!
Never had a month past without coming back to dine in from the moment my fiancé and I learned about the restaurant. We beat the traffic either to Makati or by the Bay - It's worth the effort and money :-).
Great food, Prices on point, A must visit when in Manila. Chicken Frankie's are the best!

Amazing food!!! I loved all the dishes we ordered. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!
Best Indian Restaurant in the Philippines! Quality food, great ambiance, excellent service.. The owners were very approachable and friendly too! Highly recommended restaurant!
Found this place today just right across our hotel. And their food ( Samosa, Chicken Masala, Biryani, Garlic and the regular Roti was very much authentic!! Will definitely come back.
Excellent Service, friendly Environment, warm staff. They make sure that they deliver the highest quality of spices And ingredients. Different level of standard of food. Its a must Try!
Been here twice in last 10 days. Couldn't resist it's awesome delicious food. The moment u enter u feel the warmth of the place, the decor, the polite n smiling staff, ambience of sports bar and jeepney bar everything pulls you in. Menu is great. We ordered samosa chaat, papri chaat n it tastes same as in india. From tandoori chicken to hyderabadi biryani, keema naan to kadai chicken, pherni everything was very authentic and yumlicious especially when it is served without any layer of oil..just as we like. All the best guys. Kudos to the team. Please open one at BGC too.. :)
Fantastic menu...i bet you wont find authentic indian food elsewhere in Manila. I have been here almost 20 times. Multiple choice of food and fun based on your requirement. A must visit if you are in Manila.
Best in the Philippines 5 star for RICH
We've ordered here several times in bulk. They never failed us since. Fresh, clean, flavorful, and most of all AUTHENTIC Indian food at a reasonable price. I recommend their chicken biryani, plain naan, plus chicken masala.
The vibe at rich is very different compared to other indian restaurants around. They have good food and good service, price is a bit on the upper side tho but it makes it up with premium quality food

Love the curry, its rich taste and very flavorful
Yes, this one is nearest to the Indian taste... But still not completely Indian... Indians will still miss Indian food taste even after having food here... This is not a negative feedback to the restaurant. Restaurant is doing at its best with all available ingredients locally....

This is a good sports bar in Makati.
The murgh makhani is divine!
Our go-to Indian restaurant!
When it comes to food/cuisine I could say I am the adventurous one, I can try almost every cuisine to know every culture and flavours, I was able to try other Indian cuisine in different resto, I also love how Indian R.I.C.H. Has to offer.
Actually I don't like Indian food so much, but this restaurant changed it. The falvours were really good and also the portions were big. The cleanliness could be a little bit better (had to give back one dirty cutlery) but everything else was really great. Now that I like Indian food too we will come back again.
I've been to this place 4x and still have this in mind when I crave Indian cuisine. The food is great and the staff is amazing. Only thing I don't like about the place is that the ads say it's open until 5am but when we got there on a weekday they said they are only open until 1am.
Will say it right off the bat - this place is delicious. You can tell that they didn’t take any short cuts with the dishes.
That being said, I’m still not sure if this is worth its price point. To have this quality at maybe 10% cheaper would move the needle from 4 to 5.
This place is pricey but well worth it for the authentic Indian food. If you haven't tried Daal this is the place to give it a whirl. Nothing like dipping some naan into black lentils and then taking a bite of creamy butter chicken. Yum yum yum
I was craving for some Indian and Swagat was too far, and that is the reason why we ended up here.
In terms of the visuals, it was really true to their acronym, R.I.C.H., the place had a 'grand' vibe. Which also applies to the prices of their food.
Well to be fair to them, their food really taste good, buttery and creamy. Although still a bit far from the real authentic Indian dishes., It was tasty and good nevertheless. Their Paratha was good but the naan was just ok.
I had issues on how they handled the discount for PWD/senior because they had to do the math manually and I really felt it was so wrong but I was too tired to explain it to them.
Will I go back to RICH, yes but I'll be keeping an eye on how they handle the breakdown of their bill.
Authentic Indian food. The Briyani was delicious. It had the right level of spices and was not too dry. I'm really glad they opened another branch in Eastwood. Would go back for more and maybe try other dishes like butter chicken or saag paneer 😀
Superb restaurant with amazing food
Food quality is best for Indian
A bit costlier but worthy
Seating area is good
A must go place for Indian food
I love this place. I would recommend it to people who wants to try Indian food. My favorites are cheese and garlic naan, sweet lassi & butter chicken.
The garlic naan is such a heavenly delight, especially when dipped in the rich, thick, Murg Tikka Masala sauce! The tandoori chicken is so juicy!
Everything tasted great. It was like eating in a fine dining restaurant because all food we ordered tasted 'fine'. It felt like I was taken to India. The restroom has Indian music too, bidet, soap, and tissue. The venue had good amount of lighting, and beautiful interiors. The Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani was so good, the Mutton in it were soft and it felt like it melted in my mouth as the spices surged. Chicken Korma reminded me of Kaldereta in the Philippines because of its spiciness. Only difference is that, my mother cooks Kaldereta with beef or pork, but never chicken. This Korma is authentic, didn't have too much milkiness but I could taste the milk and all other spices. Chapati was good. Good pair for Korma. Chicken Korma and Biryani is good for two people, good enough to get two people to be full. Gulab Jamun is the best, my favorite, served hot. It is sprinkled with almonds I think? And it was so sweet it took away the spiciness I had in my mouth after eating korma. Waiters were attentive. There weren't any free service water though, you have to buy their distilled water. There were other charges too. I asked the waiter what the other charges are, and he was not able to tell me. No one told me how much was it so I calculated it. Before going there, be mindful that their VAT is 12% and service charge is 10%. Our bill costed around 1.4k without the other charges and the final bill was around 1.7k. I have no issues with their other charges, I just wanted other people to be mindful maybe because that is like what, 22% of their total bill and who knows, other people may become short of money because they weren't aware RICH had this other charges, so yeah. Even though the prices were a bit steep, it was worth it for the food. I am definitely going back! And next time when I go back, I will go after 6pm so I will be able to play billiards and order drinks in their bar haha ❤️❤️❤️
Wow. I wasn’t a fan of Indian food until I tried RICH. Makes me think that all the other Indian restaurants I’d been to all these years- in Manila, Sydney, Hong Kong & New York- just didn’t make Indian food the way it’s supposed to be made. We loved the Murgh Butter Chicken Masala, Vegetable Kofta, Potatoes with honey chili, and Paneer Pakoda.
Afghani Chicken, a creamy kind of tandoori was a pleasant surprise. Dined with an Indian friend and he suggested this instead of the usual red chicken tandoori. Didn’t look appetizing but it actually was. Also the onion kulcha was good with the palak paneer and murg makhani 👍🏼 Enjoyed the 2+2 drinks on Zomato Gold. Good for any drink except softdrinks and bottled water.
Royal Indian Curry House nail the Indian food staples. For our starter, RICH's Samosas (PhP 209) were rich in taste and in aroma. They're light, fluffy and a good way to kick off your feast. It’s delicious on its own, but even better when dipped in the paired sriracha sauce, tamarind, and mint chutney.
The Murg Makhani (PhP 449) was incredibly tasty. The buttery chicken was perfectly cooked, and the sauce had a silky smooth rich texture which provided an overarching, luscious creaminess and richness to the whole dish. Perfectly balanced and superb.
RICH’s Palak Paneer (PhP 409) was a brazenly simple, yet profound dish with a vegetal smack providing a key counterweight to the gravity of the dish. It’s all the pureed goodness you need, a satisfying and an easy, pretty healthy, quick option for lunch. We ate it with Plain Basmati (PhP 189) and got some thick and chewy Cheese Naan (PhP 209) to dip it with for that little something extra.
Their Afghani Chicken (PhP 449) was a delectable version of the chicken curry. It’s also creamy thus pairing it with basmati rice will emphasize its lip-smacking flavors. Nice.
To wash it all down, Rose Lassi (PhP 219) gave a fragrant, refreshing and cooling taste. It could easily win the race for my next favorite drink. It’s a delicious twist on the traditional lassi; the sweet yogurt was flavored with rose syrup.
Overall, our experience was quite positive, and I can definitely see why the place is so popular. Prices aren’t too steep for the value, and their signatures are really worth trying. Royal Indian Curry House in Makati is a nice place to get tasty, dependable preparations of classic North Indian fare; I would have no qualms about coming back. There’s no modesty in the name, but perhaps there doesn’t need to be. Royal and rich flavors and aroma of dishes are to be expected, and with their elaborate spices and good ingredients coming into play, this restaurant is great at what it does.
The acronoym of the restaurant RICH is so fitting because of the RICH flavors and RICH Aroma and most importantly RICH diners of this awesome restaurant. 😁 The dishes are quite pricey but we don’t mind paying extra because of the oozing flavors of their dishes. You will definitely feel like a royalty when you dine here. Everything is bursting with flavors. We dined here on a friday lunch, there are already quite a few people, restaurant is beside A.Venue so you can easily catch it. All I can say is it is very worth it and it is legit.
No photos because we wiped out our order immediately. I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about their cheese naan but the garlic version became our instant favorite. We paired it with palak paneer and the chicken butter masala. It was diviiineee!!!!!! The biryani rice deserves a praise as well. Two weeks after our dine in experience here, we had to get our Indian food fix via delivery. We liked it so much because it reminded us of Singapore Indian food.
Easily located in the super busy street of Poblacion, Makati. The place is beside A-venue so you do not have an excuse not to see it. The staff were accommodating but they kind of had a bit of commotion during our stay. Probably because of a banquet reservation which made them busy. The ambiance is very cozy. Our are was well lit as we’re near the window. Perfect for food photography.
I tried a couple of Indian restaurants but nothing compares to RICH. The butter chicken has a thick, rich and flavorful gravy. Eat with warm naan, a must try if you're planning to dine here. Staff are friendly too. Plus points
Butter chicken is to die for! Naan breads are great too. Chicken tandori is okay. Chicken madras are 3/5.
However, the prices in their menu are exclusive of vat and service charge; prices should be inclusive of vat per the consumer act. This against the law. On their defence, there’s a very clear note on every page of the menu about the exclusion of bot vat and sc. I still suggest they update their menu in compliance with the law.
Royalty is the perfect word to describe this restaurant. The interior exudes class, sophistication and eminence and at the same time, radiates a homey laid back vibe due to the earth tones and purple hues of the decor. The place was filled with Indian expats so we knew we were in the right place! The menu is really extensive but we stuck to our gameplan. We got the cucumber raita, the saffron rice, the murg makhani and the mutton rogan josh. We opted to have our dishes in medium spiciness level. Good thing the cucumber raita helped to balance the spiciness. The butter chicken was perfect. Tender tandoori pieces cooked in tomato gravy. It was creamy, savory and had an intense kick of butter flavor. My colleague really loved it! Next is the mutton. It is spicy and rich. Spices were really emphasized in the gravy with the mutton being the main star. The meat was super tender. Next is the saffron basmati rice. It had a few strands of the prized spice. It definitely had a subtle aroma and taste of saffron. Overall, we deeply enjoyed our meal. Price point was okay but I think serving size can be improved. No service water available by the way.
I went to "Royal Indian Curry House" in Makati.
Curry, as well as shrimp and vegetable dishes, were all delicious.
During my stay in Manila, I went out for a meal twice, and took it home with a second lunch.
If I go to Manila, I will always go there.
I took my friends to eat here because i always eat with my family in the moa branch. I wanted my friends to try this amazing restaurant and they loved it too. The food was amazing as always and great yogurt drinks to accompany the heavily spiced dishes!
Authentic and very good Indian cuisine. They offer a wide range or north and south Indian cuisine and the place feels authentic as well. Frequented by Indians as well which is a testament to the quality of the food. Highly recommended. May be a bit tough to get to given the frequent traffic in the area but manageable. Limited parking available onsite but you can park at the adjacent Avenue mall
I love the food and the authentic ambiance of this place. Had the Tandoori Chicken, some Paratha, Martabak, and Biryani. All were to my liking. The Tandoori Chicken was especially good! If you're looking for some Indian, this might be one of the best places in the Metro.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Manila according to my Indian colleagues. i agree with them. A bit pricey but worth it. Parking is a bit of a hassle but you can park at the nearby mall and just walk.
The best indian restaurant in the metro, situated in a 5story building that is theirs. Bar, restaurant, and billiards. The food serving was actually small for the price, they do however put a lot of sauce into the dish, very good but expensive, maybe will comeback after 1 year or so, after my wallet has regenerated
I’d been wanting to try RICH for the longest time and I was finally able to. It certainly didn’t disappoint! I can say it’s the best I’ve tried in Manila! I would definitely recommend ordering their butter chicken and cheese naan. Such a great combination!
It’s on the expensive side, but so worth it! You can sense that they didn’t scrimp on the ingredients.
The dining staff were all pros, and very friendly.
The only setback is the Makati traffic, so if the management of RICH is reading, please please, put up a branch in BGC.
The name if the restaurant says it all. Royal interiors....amazing Indian Curry on the House.
The food here brings somewhat closer to India
Hungry foodie Indians smell there way to amazing food.
We ordered creamy Mango lassi, dry Manchurian very much like Indi Chinese dish, mix vegetable, garlic naan and chole Bhatura.
Wow was the taste. Chole bhature made me feel nostalgic.
If you are looking for an authentic Indian cuisine, do pay a visit to the place and I am sure you will not be disappointed.
I am definitely going here again to try new things on their elaborative menu.
Thank you for making us feel home away from home ❤️
Great experience, to say the least.
We had a couple of dishes and I'd justify my rating one-by-one. The veggie samosas were served hot and crunchy, filled generously with potatoes and green peas, with the crust achieving a thin yet crisp texture. The flavor of Indian spices is also evident in the filling, which in my opinion, is best paired with the tamarind sauce which has a sweet taste with a kick of sourness. Altogether, the blend of flavors is amazing. You won't feel umay. Also, it's not oily compared to the other samosas.
The tandoori chicken was cooked to perfection, achieving a juicy and creamy (yes, creamy) texture within the meat. It has this smokey taste that compliments the spices well.
We had the garlic naan and cheese naan. Well, the naan were both served hot and evenly crispy and soft (as in some parts are soft and some are crispy), which is great. The cheese naan was the winner as it gives this creamy kick of cheesiness without being salty or overbearing. The garlic naan in my opinion was a bit too garlicky, but if that's what you want then why not?
The biryani rice was quite unique as it had this citrusy refreshing kick that compliments the curry dishes well. This is a well-thought of "rice flavor." Haha!
We had the butter chicken and the curry kambing (I forgot the name). I'd talk more about the butter chicken. It was amazing. Chicken was cooked tender and juicy throughout. The curry wasn't too "curry-y," but rather it had this explosive flavors of butter, curry, spices, and what have you. The sauce was just amazing. It makes you want to keep digging. It's especially best paired with the cheese naan or the biryani rice. Truly, this dish brought me to heaven for a second or two.
The curry kambing dish was okay. The kambing meat was cooked to perfection, however I prefer the sauce of the butter chicken in many countless ways possible.
The yogurt was also yummy, a bit of sourness with a zeal of sweetness to end the experience.
Great experience, I would come back, definitely. Ambiance is also ideal for dates.
This is as authentic as you can get for Indian food in Manila. I have been around asia and they do their curry right. My favorite dish, Palak Paneer is served here thick and flavorful. They even got it as mild spiced as I liked. The ambiance takes me back to Indian restaurants in Singapore and Malaysia and I don't even have to go out of town. On the pricey side but hey you get what you pay for.
Okay... So one of the best... Perfect for the late night indian food cravings... Afghani chicken is the forever Favourite... Hydrabadi biryani is great... Harabhara kebab for the vegans... Rarra Chicken is next level 💝
Rating: 4/5
My bf had to treat me because it's 14th of Feb at para makabawi sa libre ko sa Taste of LA. Charot. He asked me what I was craving for today and voila, he brought me to Poblacion and tried this resto recommended by his Indian friend. So we ordered the following;
Tandoori Chicken
Naan on the Run
Mutton (Goat) Rogan Josh
Tandoori Roti
Authentic indian experience, plus the serenade. Food's perfectIy cooked. The lamb and chicken kinda melts in your mouth. Their naan on the run (not in the menu) was awesome! It's just that they had us waiting for an hour because they missed to place our order. Rating could have been 5.
Went here to celebrate a work milestone. The place had several floors with posh interiors.
We had the Mutton Rajwari Kofta which was delightfully spicy. It builds up and makes you want to chug down your Lassi. I sort of regretted ordering the Saffron Rice, because the spices from the kofta killed whatever subtle saffron flavor that the rice had.
We discovered that the Cheese Naan was the perfect dish to eat with the kofta. The whole experience was unforgettable. The food was so good that we were shocked when we realized that we have naan left (get it?).
My expat Indian friends seemed to like this place too because they always thanked me whenever I run into them. They say it made them feel somewhat closer to home and I think that already says a lot!
It was a random decision to eat at Royal Indian Curry House. My friend suggested that we eat here because it has good reviews in Zomato.
I really liked the Cheese Naan. The Hydearabadi Biryani was good on its own, even without other dishes since it is already tasteful. It is good for 2-3 persons, depending on carbs capacity. The Mango Lassi balanced the spiciness of the biryani.
We had a staycation near the restaurant so we decided to try out the restaurant. The staff were very accommodating and they moved so fast - probably because it was Sunday night and the place was packed. The food was really good. We loved the Butter Chicken and the Palak Paneer. We also ordered Chicken Tikka and it was also good. :) For dessert, we ordered Gulab Jamun. The serving size was okay, relatively good for 2-3 people. As for the price of the food and drinks, it was quite expensive. We recommend reserving a table during the weekend.
Staff was super helpful and the food was GREAT! The crunchy chickpea appetizer and the cheese naan and the rice with lamb in a pot thing (don’t recall the name of the dish) were 🤤🤤🤤
Went here and had probably the best Indian food I have ever eaten. Got the butter chicken and chicken tandoori plus a few naan and I couldn’t stop eating. Well worth your money!
I've never been to India, but RICH has one of the best Indian food in Metro Manila imo. Extensive menu, plenty of vegetarian options, and while it's a little pricy, they more than make up for it with their rather swanky interiors. Would definitely go back here in a heartbeat!
Me and my friends are craving for Indian Food experience and RICH doesn't disappoint! You'll definitely feel its authenticity as there are lots of local Indians who eats here.
Food - 5. Food experience is the best. We ordered another Cheese Naan as we love the dipping sauces.
Ambiance - 5. Indian vibes and very spacious. The restaurant has an elevator, imagine that?
Service - 4. Falldown is the lengthy time we spent asking for our bill.
Order: Hydearabadi Biryani, Murg Makhani, Paneer Lababdar, Cheese Naan and Tandoori Roti
Favorite: Cheese Naan all the way 😍😍
Curry is always a great idea! Who can resist the @royalindiancurryhouse yummy butter chicken, mutton korma, mutton rogan josh, biryani, and butter naan - plus sweet and salted lassi! Super food pleasure!! #foodtodaywithdorainmakati #taraletseat #makatieats #wheninmakati #poblacionfoodcrawl #foodlover #foodblogger #royalindiancurryhouse #curry #biryani #zomatoph
It really Is nice and legit Indian cuisine. I cant get enough of it TBH! But its too damn expensive! They need to adjust that pricing coz it may be a cause for them losing business. As much as I would love to dine there on a regular basis. I just cant.
Best Indian food on this side of the world - and I mean it. The closest I could think of the authenticity are the restaurants in Delhi India.
It is fabulous and you can’t go wrong with the regular Indian dishes like the naans, the chicken, and the veggies. Their kebab melts in mouth and the sweet dishes are all delicious.
My recommendation would be to go to Jeepeny bar for sitting - start with their non veg kebab platters and kingfisher beer keg.
For mains - naan and kulcha assorted with ma ki daal, chicken kali mirch, paneer palak, mutton Rogan josh and yes if you can, try the lassi.
Finish the food with their gulab jamuns.
Now why not five stars - due to the lack of fine dine experience which prevents me from taking all my business associates there and yes wine as well. Trust me, nothing goes well with Indian food and curries better than a nice Shiraz.
But Vijay and team has extra ordinary feast on table, whose authenticity every Indian would swear by.
Hugely recommended
Oh wow...excellent food! Super worth the price, bigger servings than usual indian restos. Cheese Naan bread is unforgettable!😁 best murg makhani ever.
Must visit in Manila. Anything that you crave in spicy Indian cuisine. Been her 5 times already.
Recommended to all Indians and non Indians who want to try their hand into something different. Very authentic and not plagiarised
Authentic indian food. Im not a big fan of it but looks legit. I liked the cheese naan the most. The lamb curry is also good and the white fish i forgot the name but its here in the pictures. Ill come back for that naan and fish. Other dishes are spicy but you can ask them to make them mild. Service is good too.
Easily the best Indian restaurant I've had here in the Philippines. Would've given it a 4/5 since I found it a bit pricey (even if the food was of high quality) but my Zomato Gold membership easily turned that around.
Food (5/5): I'd recommend the Murg Makhani (no picture since we immediately ate it once it arrived) and Chicken Biryani. It can easily feed 3 people, add naan bread and it should be enough for 4.
Venue and Ambiance (4.5/5): The place is divided into different floors and even has a VIP / fine dining area. It wasn't noisy and could accommodate large groups. It doesn't feel like you're in India but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Service (5/5): Prompt and friendly. The staff also have good knowledge of the food they're serving. If you get lost in their menu (which is overwhelming at first) they're nice and patient enough to guide you through it.
I've been here for 3 times and I'm excited for their Eastwood branch to open so I won't have to travel far just to get good Indian food!
The best Indian restaurant I have tried so far. The food is so good! Their Butter Chicken is bursting with so much flavor and buttery-ness. It's so creamy and perfect to devour with their naan. Their Rogan Josh is also to die for. The meat is so tender and so flavorful. Just watch out for the spice level. Their mild is already really spicy for me. A must try is also their Chicken Biryani and their Samosa.
Most amazing Indian food you can get with home like atmosphere.. That’s here!!!.. undoubtedly the best!!.. the best place to hangout after long day or weekend parties!!!..
Legit Indian dishes! My favorite here is the Butter Chicken paired with hyberdadi biryani with prawn rice! Love also the garlic naan. Chicken tikka is 3*
This place claims to serve the best Indian Food in Manila. And I do not dispute that at all.
Did you know? The chef at RICH was the personal Chef for our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi during his visit to Manila in 2017. That's quite an achievement I must say.
Food quality is good. Service is great. Go for it. You won't get disappointed.
Word of caution for Paneer lovers though. The cottage cheese is chewy. Do not have high expectations. But the taste is good.
One of the best places in Manila where you can get Indian food. Great food, nice ambience, good service can work up more with the interiors.
This was my first time visiting RICH being a zomato gold member and the benefit of it is really heartwarming. It was a great time hanging out here and having extremely rich and flavourful Indian food.. looking forward for more of it.🖖
Review as of November 2018
Royal Indian Curry House, popularly called RICH, has become my go to for Indian food--especially with the close of Swagat 😢
Warm lighting, Indian interiors, and a dizzying menu of Indian dishes are just a few things you can expect here. The food is great but the service can be a bit slow, it takes the full 20 minutes, if not a bit longer, for the dishes to come out of the kitchen.
Here's a list of the dishes I've tried here, recommendations are marked with a star (🌟):
- Murg Makhani (Butter Chicken) 🌟
- Malai Kofta
- Hyderabadi Biryani 🌟
- Cheese Naan
“The best” Indian food in Manila, undoubtedly. A zeepney bar at the top, Sports bar, formal, and family setting. One stop for all. Staff is very warm.
Cant find anything wrong with the place except maybe for constructive criticism purpose would suggest make the space between tables more! Otherwise the food is amazing. Even better than some restaurants in India! I also like their roof top jeepney bar. Service is good and quick.
This one is also one of the best indian restaurants in Manila Philippines. To be very honest their food is much tastier than other places.
My opinion:
1. RICH (Paisa Vasool and Dhamaka)
2. Mantra Bistro (Classy)
3. Queens at Bollywood (Tasty food and nice place)
4. None
Hahaha because there are others i dont want to mention those names hence its None at the last.
5 star particularly for food and the staffs. Akash the manager is the best kind of person we have seen who had assisted us in the restaurant giving the best variety of dishes. I am almost there everyday in this entire 3 months of my stay here. Akash has assisted us all the times. I will recommend this hotel to everyone
The only place in Philippines with authentic Indian food; beats the best Indian restaurants standards as well. Consistent in all dishes irrespective of the time of the day or day of the week. Full house menu with variety of dishes. Amazing ambience for every type of taste, from fine dining to sports bar to Indian Filipino fusion jeepney bar. Free parking and accommodating host as well as every member of restaurant is cordial and welcoming. High priced which I find is ok because of everything else mentioned above. Must place to checkout in Philippine.
When I’m craving for Indian Curry, I go to this place. I believe they serve the best Indian food in Pinas. The flavors are authentic and they have a plethora of dishes to choose from. Just ask the waitstaff for their recommendations if you’re feeling overwhelmed. We opted to eat vegetarian and ordered Veggie Curry, Cauliflower Tandoori, Aloo Gobi and of course, Basmati Rice. and Naan. You can’t go without rice here. And they have a variety of Naan as well. You’ll love vegetarian/vegan dishes If you come here.
Undisputedly the best Indian restaurant in Metro Manila at the moment. Every ingredient they use is as good as tasting authentic Indian flavor and the price is acceptable for the quality of their food. Must try!!
Last night's heavy traffic didn't stop me from trying this Indian restaurant situated in the liveliest place in Makati City, Poblacion. I've been hearing some good feedback from friends and other people about this restaurant so I checked it myself to confirm.
By checking the menu, I was overwhelmed by huge selection of traditional Indian food. It's thick but good thing it's user friendly. Their products are Halal Certified so whether you're a Muslim or a Christian, a vegan or a meat eater, you'll definitely get your preference here. Asking the staff of their best sellers might be of great help.
We started with drinks. I had Strawberry Lassi (Php 239). I have tried Lassis from different restaurants and this is the best Lassi I had so far. They put less sugar syrup, which is a good thing because aside from my sugar level is high, it retains the tanginess of the yogurt, which is the main ingredient of this popular Indian drink. Strawberry balanced out the flavor of this Lassi. A must try!
Here are some of the best sellers we had last night. List in ascending order of my preferred dishes.
1. R.I.C.H Grand Tandoori Grilled Platter (Php 1,409)
- Mix Kebabs (Chicken, Fish, Sausages, etc. ). This is good for 5 people or more, depends on your appetite. Everything here is really good. The meat are well marinated, juicy, tender and grilled to perfection. It comes with 3 sauces - Mint, Tamarind Chutney and Hot Sauce. Tamarind Chutney is my fave!
2. Hyderabadi Biryani (Php 579)
- If I were to dine here alone, this would be my top choice. You can have basmati rice and chops of tender lamb's meat in one dish. I really love this one.
3. Murg Makhani (Butter Chicken) (Php 449)
- Crowd's favorite. I love the tenderness of the well marinated chicken here. Heaven!
4. Mutton Rogan Josh (Php 509)
- One of the most delicious mutton dish. Well marinated and cooked to perfection. Succulent! A must order!
5. Keema Mutton (Php 709)
- Rice please! This dish is best enjoy with rice. With the spiciness level that is tolerable, you'll definitely love this one.
6. Palak Paneer (Php 409)
- Indian cottage cheese in smooth, thick and creamy spinach paste. Perfect dish for vegetarian!
You can never go wrong with Naan. They have huge selection of Naan on the menu. More than 10 Naans to choose from !!! We tried 2 of their best sellers in Naan. Soft and creamy. Best eaten when warm!
7. Garlic Naan (Php 199)
8. Butter Naan (Php 159)
9. Hara Bhara Kebab (Php 399)
10. Samosa (Veg) (Php 209)
11. Masala Papad (Php 159)
Our dinner ended with a semi-sweet, goody and milky
Gulab Jamun (Php 149). Yum!
The restaurant has 5 floors. The 1st & the 2nd floor are for dining. The 3rd floor is where the sports bar is located. It operates from 6 pm to 2 am. This is my favorite place of all because you can chill here with friends and you can also play billiards. If you want to have a venue for an event, they have the 4th floor available for you. You can request for a customized meal plan for the event. Lastly, they have the top bar on the 5th floor wherein you'll find the amazing aflatoon jeepney bar. You can chill here while watching live games on TV.
The staff were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about their food.
Overall, we had a great dining experience at R.I.C.H. Highly recommended!
I have never tried Indian food and when my Nepali friends decided to treat me, they brought me to this restaurant. I enjoyed the meal. I tried so many dishes that the meal sustained me until the following day- no need for dinner. I tried masala tea (with one sachet of brown sugar) and we had the following:
Cholay chaat - I looooove this chickpeas salad. I always wondered about chickpea dishes because I am only familiar with felafel. This was a really good appetizer.
Masala papad - Good to try, but I prefer to put cholay chaat as spread on top rather than just take the dish as it is. Would probably not reorder to try different appetizer dish.
Chicken momos - I told my nepali friends that I like the ones they make a lot better. The momos from RICH are less juicy.
Hydearabadi biryani - A unique fried rice twist, good to try.
Murg maghani - Looooved it, paired with naan. Also ordered coke because it is refreshing to have with the spiced foods.
Naan - Had two orders for Murg and Palak.
Palak paneer - Ok with naan.
Gulab jamun - Just ordered one for sharing of four. A tad bit sweet but I will try any Indian dessert and they have just 1 or 2.
Will I come back? Definitely.
Awesome naan n curries... although bit costly but love it ..feels like India in Manila..it's an awesome restaurant far better than Bombay palace n taj Manila
This is my 2nd time to visit this outlet.
The thing to know about this place is that Our PM Modi Ji has visited his place too during his Visit to Manila Philippines.
I had the Hyderabadi Briyani will give it a 3 start. Could have been more flavorful and a bit spicy.
Had masala tea which was good not not piping hot.
5 Start for Ambiance & 5 star for the staff.. will i visit again hell yeah 😄
You can dine and plus hangout in their top level sports bar.
Amazing Indian food , tried almost all dishes from their menu. That is accompanied by great service and very goodbranding. Makes RICH no1 destination for food.
If you really have to write a neagtive it will be cost. Bit costly and a meal would easily go from 2000-2500 pesos for a couple. But I guess all good things come at a price. Another ask is to improve their very good Butter chicken to excellent Delhi pandara road taste as that is the benchmark.
Again its the best For Indian cuisine!!!!! You guys never make us feel we are not at home
Because of good reviews and recommendations from indian working colleagues we gave the RICH a try.
And the quality of the food absolutely exceeded our expectations. Amongst the variety of dishes we had, there was none mediocre, they were all excellent.
The RICH is definitely one of the best indian restaurants i have ever tried.
A bit on the pricey side - 5k pesos for six people - but definitely worth it.
We are looking forward to our next visit.
People were nice and food was good. We ordered biryani, plain and garlic naan, chicken tikka masala and palak paneer and all tasted equally good.
