We didn't originally plan to dine here but we don't have any regrets. We particularly liked the ambiance. The food tasted ok although most of what we ordered bordered on being bland. But their customer service was superb.
Was early for dinner and walking to a Starbucks. Then I saw Sala has a 250 peso (inclusive service charge and VAT) afternoon tea set. So I walked in and ordered it. The iced Latte is great, definitely better than Starbucks. The bread and pudding is also delightful. Ordered a second set because I really enjoyed it.
Next week, I will bring my staff here for lunch meeting, haha.
Cozy - relaxing ambiance. The staff were very accommodating and service was excellent. I ordered Crispy Salmon, flavourful and juicy. A great dining experience.
Came across this place during lunch while shopping at Greenbelt, it was pretty busy and looked lovely from the outside, so we decided to give it a go!
Definitely glad we did, our food was delicious - I don’t have any complaints with my experience.
The chicken cordon blue was amazing...I was left wanting more. The burger, dessert and drinks were great too.
The ambience and service - great.
Will definitely come back next time I’m in the Philippines.
My family lives here so it was also good to have a change from all the Filipino food I have been eating!
So we went here last march to eat lunch, and to be honest it was kinda my first time eating in a restaurant wherein the prices are this high, we mostly eat in japanese restaurants like chibo, yayoi etc... And although its also kinda expensive in those restaurants... The ambience of this place is kinda what sets it apart from those japanese restaurants that we've eaten at, so on to the food, we ordered beef bourguinon and salmon both of which are priced at 700 above, the beef bourguinon was delicious the beef itself was tender although the beef pieces are kinda few like really few but I really did like the flavor, the salmon although I didn't get the chance to taste it because that's what my mother ordered but nontheless I was able to taste the rice which is a risotto, the risotto had this fresh and sharp taste to it and according to my mother the risotto and the salmon complimented each other well... And we also ordered a pasta although I forgot the name and to be honest I didn't kinda like the flavor I am not saying it was not delicious but rather I guess it wasn't up to my taste or palate as you might call it,And lastly we ordered a slice of valrhona tart and even though its chocolate its not overly sweet but there's actually a hint of bitterness to it that for me actually complimented the ice cream on top... So overall it was a pleasant experience to eat here the ambience is what I would say a 5/5 and the food although expensive it was nonetheless delicious.
One of the more romantic restaurants in Makati. The food is excellent - a bit pricey but worth it. Service is top notch. Servers pace the meal properly . It’s the kind of place you go for a special occasion or evening important business meeting . Dark and subdued atmosphere.
Was there Evening weekday

We were in the mood for steak and dropped into Sala Bistro at Greenbelt.
We got glasses of French syrah and a Rosé wine. Besides the complimentary bread basket, we got an appetizer of marinated olives, roasted nuts and parmesan cubes which really complemented our wine.
Our steak was the Australian Stockyard Angus Ribeye 400g which we shared. Done medium in a creamy peppercorn sauce, this was really juicy and good. Our sides were fries and rosemary roast baby potatoes.
Ended our meal with a good Tiramisu
Posh and classy. Food is good. Service is commendable. Excellent and highly efficient staff. Definitely would recommend this amazing place. There is no reason not to come back. Make sure to book a table ahead of time as it is usually packed especially over the weekends.
We had ordered fish and chips, chicken cordon bleu and the plates to share! The chicken cordon is a must try I must say, it was absolutely amazing! We also ordered a couple of desserts, banoffee pie was decent :)
All in all a great dining experience, slightly on the higher end on the pocket I should make a point to mention!
A common factor I observed in Sala's dishes is that they're insipid. Other than the tasty free bread and clean dish presentation, there's nothing in their flavor that stands out.
We started with the red lentil and bacon soup and the quiche of the day. The soup had a good amount of lentil and bacon, while the quiche had a crisp crust but bland cheese filling.
For our main course, we ordered braised lamb shank and fish fillet, however, we were mistakenly served pork pluma instead of the fish. By the time we realized it was the wrong dish, we'd already taken a few slices (the waiters should really list down orders instead of relying on memory alone to prevent mistakes like this). The sweet green beans taste great mixed with the parmesan mash, with the well cooked but under-seasoned lamb. Finally, the pork pluma had a good salt-pepper taste, but I'd prefer if the pork were tenderized more.
All foods you serve are delicious, however you need to wait a lot of time before it serve. The ambiance is good but it's really dark around the restaurant when you eat during dinner. Especially if your eyes are not so clear. It's hard to eat with only one or two small candle light on the table. And we need to wait for our bill that's give some time again.

We treated ourselves to a romantic meal for Valentine's. What I liked was that they had a la carte menu as well as specials which were great. We were happy with the beef carpacio, warm squid salad and our main course. The Pavlova was mouth watering. It was a bit pricey but worth the treat!
Perfect European Cuisine.. relaxing place, staff are nice, always have perfect food. Awesome place to catch up with friends. Nice location! Great restaurant
Sala Bistro is a perfect place to have a quick but enjoyable lunch in Greenbelt. It's relaxing and has a pleasant ambiance to it. It's a great go-to spot!
I ordered the express meal..servers were attentive and polite..food was fresh and gastronomically delightful..but the second course is so so..dish lacks the appeal of what bistro represents in terms of quality..the shredded beef on the pasta was disgusting .i like this bistro..athmosphere is relax and and decent
The service here is superb, very knowlegeable staff. I ordered salmon cake on top of spinach puree and this dish didn't disappoint me. Presentation is excellent and taste is really really good. I ended up feeling heavy which is good expecting my order was just light.
Sunday brunch at Sala is genius!!! Delicious food and overflowing bubblies make for beautiful overly happy conversations with friends and good company #happyday! 😊👍😉
I was invited to this place for a client mtg and was deligthed with the service and the food. i I tried their seafood pasta and tomato soup and was utterly satisfied. The pasta was al dente and the flavor of the seafood was still distinct from the pasta which was something quite enjoyable. The soup was done well, you can still taste the tomatoes and it doesnt get drowned with the stock you are partaking it with. Service was great.
They have a very nice and an elegant ambiance. Right in the middle of the mall and with some green foreground, this is an excellent find :).
They even have a separate vegetarian menu and the chef was willing to modify the items in the menu, taking in to account my food preferences. The wine list is good and I had a very nice Finca wine.
Staff are very cordial and welcoming.
Price wise it is a tad bit expensive, but given the good feel of the restaurant, it is worth the price.
Love the elegant atmosphere.. The diverse menu... But loved the valhrona chocolate tart the most! The steak tartare is a close second. The salmon cakes a far third. The acoustics of the place is good too, even if there are a lot of people, you can still enjoy good conversation.
Sala Bistro is one of those restaurants I used to gawk at whenever I passed by that part of Greenbelt. Translation: it's not something I could afford to visit whenever I like. They serve wine, the place glowed under faint lighting, the patrons are of the wealthy side, and the price of the food is heart-attack inducing. The staff are dressed well, prompt, and spoke in English. Good thing I was dressed well to conceal my real identity, lol.
It takes some time for the food to be served, but they give you complementary bread so you won't die in your seat waiting for your order. We also ordered a glass of white wine called, Pebble Lane Gisborne Chardonnay (PHP420, gulp!). It is sweet at first sip, a little citrusy but leaves a bitter aftertaste. It took me a while to appreciate the taste because I've developed an aversion for wine after a night of intoxication and a terrible hangover that lasted for days. But one of my resolutions is to learn how to drink wine again so I pushed through it. Further into the night, I've grown to like it.The names on the menu made me feel like they were written in Sanksrit, so I asked the waiter for their bestseller. He said that one of their most popular dishes is the Casarecce Pasta (PHP560). I took his word for it.
It wasn't aesthetically pleasing, but it tasted good. It's one of those pasta dishes that is on the salty side.Spaghettini (PHP590), a seafood pasta is sour and salty, a bit spicy, and the taste of herbs was intense. I liked it better than the Casarecce. The Chocolate Tart (PHP290) is basically a brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The presentation was good, but there was nothing special about it.I had cappuccino (PHP120), which was nice and frothy.
In conclusion, Sala Bistro is a nice place, perfect ambiance, patrons dress well to impress, it's quiet, and the staff look and speak well. Indeed, it is a perfect place for a quiet dinner with friends, family, or most especially, with a special someone. The place imbibes a romantic atmosphere and the food is okay, what's not to love?
I will tell you what's not to love, the price. Though it is beautiful I believe that the food is ridiculously overpriced. For one, a 400 ml bottle of Viva is already 90 bucks. So for drinks I suggest you take the flavored ones, because really, if you are going to pay that much, at least make it something worthy. If you want water and you're not picky, just ask for tap water. The food is not at all bad, but I'm not going to jump up and down about it either. I've had great-tasting pasta before for half the price of what we had here. I think Sala Bistro is one of those places where what you are really paying for is the ambiance, rather than the food. I give them A for food presentation, but for the taste, it's a B.Still I liked the experience, if only for the fact that I shared it with a good friend and we had an opportunity to be served like we were royals. The damage? It's PHP2, 919.29, inclusive of the tax and service charge. Yes, I think I just had a little heart attack.
Awesome place! Great food and friendly staff. Great venue for happy hour, dinner, lunch. Weekend brunch is to die for. Recommends fish and chips, the burger, and iced roselle tea.
We are at Sala Bistro at least a couple of times a month and it's never disappointed. If you love your steak, this is definitely worth a visit - the chef here knows how to treat a good Aussie Mulwarra tenderloin. For something a little bit different try their Feta Watemelon Orange Mint salad.
Awesome 4 star restro for a reasonable price, great food and wine options, love the atmosphere for a good client dinner. Sophisticated but relaxed, will always come back... Enjoy
We had the Sala Mezze and it was excellent (though pricey). We also had one of their pizzas but it turned out just OK. I would go back for their other Mediterranean offerings.
Ordered their chicken, leek and bacon pie for brunch. As stated in their menu and website, their dishes are indeed served with only fresh ingredients. I could tell from the way the puff pastry had a nice rise and consistency, straight out of the oven. The meat and stock could've used a little more seasoning and I would've preferred it a little creamier, but taste-wise it was fair enough. Service and ambiance is good, and my overall dining experience was worth the 700 php I paid for.
Mid grade meal nothing to write home about but fair price vs value
Nice place in greenbelt, very attentive service. The place is kind of upmarket. Felt a little out of place in my casual clothes, but the waiters made us feel very welcome. Lamb salad was nice, but a little over spiced for my taste. Fresh bread on the table was a lovely touch. Try the smoothies, delicious.
