Dad took us here on a whim and we were very pleasantly surprised. Pork quality is good for the price. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Place was filled with Korean-speaking people, so to me, that’s an indicator that the food is good and authentic.
The owner’s dog was running around as well, so that made me pretty happy. Overall would realistically be a 3.5 but the friendly Golden Retriever made it a solid 4.
Me and my friends (3 of us) are not into meat that day so we decided to order seafood casserole. At first we wanted to order Large but then since the waiter told us they have unli side dish we ended up ordering the small. To our surprise it's good for 5. The rice is the best rice I have ever tasted. It is a bit sticky but really taste good! The side dishes are all thumbs up for me. The sayote had bits of shrimps that made it more flavorfull. The sweet banana was newly cooked and we loved it.
Yes they are understaffed but they will attend to you...bring a bit of patience with you but tolerabke for me. Parking is not a parking, they have 8 slots if I am not mistaken.
It's not pricey, not fancy but worth to give it a try😊

The food is good. We availed package B for the unli samgyupsal and it was satisfying. We got to enjoy four of the available meat but we didn't get to taste the other because we were so full! The side dishes are good, too, but there's one particular side dish I didn't understand - the one with noodles but was served in sort of like a gelatinous consistency? Not my fave. The kimchi soup was okay, too, but it got a bit of overpowering for me in the end because there's already a kimchi side dish. Wish I got to eat one of the others.
The staff are nice and accommodating. The ambience was okay. My companion and I thought that the place was closed because it didn't look like a lot of people are going there, so we were relieved when when we found that the place was actually open, and the staff welcomed us.
The experience was generally pleasant and I'd definitely go back. :)
This is a korean restaurant which had a lot of dishes i never even heard of.
I ordered buckwheat noodles with egg and spicy sauce and dumplings.
They were good in taste. Noodles contained a lot of veggies.
great experiencing it.
The ambiance is like a korean resto from seoul, the food is average. And they had a mini store of different korean ingredients that you might need to cook some korean dish 😊
The policy isbthat you have to get pork first before beef.
Service crew very attentive. Good price for the amount of food.
Place situated on a good location.
I enjoyed their tteokbokki!!!! However The pork werent unlimited. They will have to cook it in front of you as well. I just wish they serve more meat.
Tried their 499 unlimited plain pork and beef and marinated pork. It was okay. Side dishes were also okay. Normal korean bbq. 24 hours. Every table can get either kimchi jiggae, seafood jiggae, or steamed egg. Servers were nice and very attentive. We Got the unlimited pork, beef and marinated pork for 3 people. The pork’s cut was thick however the meat to fat ratio waa not even. The slices were mostly fan and just a little meat. We got the kimchi jiggae. The soup of the jiggae can be refilled. We also ordered an additional steamed egg. No time limit for the unlimited sets they also have ala carte menus. They also sell sea weed sheets ssamjang in a tub ice cream and you can also get raw meat I’m just not sure if you cna have it cut as well. Would definitely be back. Perfect for late night samgyupsal cravings.
Dong Won is back in the game! Why did I say that? Huge improvement in customer service! They are nailing Korean BBQ with their excellent meat cuts.
Their unli KBBQ has three options -
399 - samgyupsal + different kinds of pork
499 - samgyupsal + woosamgyup + marinated pork bbq
599 - woosamgyup + different kinds of beef
Unlike their neighbor, they do not have a buffet. However, the meat quality (more meat than fat) is definitely superior. I would also say that they have better side dishes. Other package inclusions are: one serving of soup, the usual unli rice and lettuce, and their servers will cook for you!
I really had a great experience and will definitely go back here for my KBBQ craving. And oh, they have parking slots!
I ate there last night and i enjoy their food and the kimchi so much thats why i rated 5. Hence, I called just now sa landline nila to ask if i can order and you know what, Nagulat ako and akala ko bahay ung tinatawag ko kasi wala man lang maayos na greeting sa phone. Please improve that kasi nakaka confused. Thank you. Food is really good tho.
It's not just a restaurant but also a store. It's 24 hours which is really a plus for someone like me who always gets hungry in the middle of the night. I love their food and service. Staffs are friendly and serves fast.
Korean comfort food (aka samgyupsal and bulgogi, for me) that i so legit they even sell frozen meat, vegs and condiments and everything you need for cooking Korean food. It's just a very convenient place to go if you're so addicted to Korean food that you cook it at home. Price was a bit high though for single person meals but wow everything we ordered was really good! Unlimited side dishes as the other restaurants offer as well. They also have rooms if you want a reservation for your family/group. Worth a visit!
The meats and veggies were fresh and tasteful, we just had to finish the food. How I wish the staff smiled more or a knowledge what we ordered.
The food was good and authentic but the servers were not attentive and accommodating. We went there around 1AM and we were informed that they dont offer unlimited side dishes anymore because it was already 1AM. Bummer.

We were in the mood for Korean barbecue and ended up here since there was a huge queue outside Matgalne. We ordered Samgyupsal, Dwajji Kalbi, Dak Gui and Gun Mando - all for Php 330 each along with rice (Php 50 each) and soft drinks. Kudos to the waitress for being so prompt in replenishing the complimentary sides (8 varieties!). The lettuce was fresh, sauces were delish and meat was well marinated. Since we were a group of 4, the entire meal cost us approx Php 500 each which I felt was a good deal. They also sell a lot of Korean items and frozen meat, seafood at incredibly low prices.
It's my second time to visit dong won makati.
We ordered samgyupsal, bibim naengmyun and sondubu chigae. Really delicious dishes.
I've been to korea before and when i miss authentic korean dishes, dong won is one of the places that comes to mind. (Although Sariwon is still #1 in my list). They also have a mini grocery inside where you can buy authentic korean food/products.
(On my first visit, we ordered Nakji bokeum and dakkae jang. Definitely worth it.)
I love this korean BBQ restaurant. We would often order their kalbi and samgyupsal with unlimited lettuce. Kalbi (beef ribs) is a must try but samgyupsal (pork) is cheaper so we usually order both. All meat orders were served with refillable sides. I love almost all of their side dishes. My favorite were sweet crispy dilis, potato strings, scrambled egg, sweetened nut and saging na saba. Their side dishes changes depending on the availabilty of the food. I'm not a fan of kimchi that's why I can't recommend it. BTW, side dish is refillable upon request. You can also ask for additional side dish on asking to wrap your leftovers. They also have korean icecream for dessert. Sometimes I would just drop by to buy some icecream.
If you want korean bbq at 2am this is the place to go. They serve delicious kimchi and fresh meat for bbq. They also have a mini grocery inside the restaurant.
When we entered the restau, there are no other customer except us. The interior is okay. It is designed like the typical korean restaurant. But it was so awkward because we can't hear anything aside from our laughs and voices and the staff working. We could appreciate some background music you know. What I really love is the size of the sampgyupsal that we ordered. It was about one forth of an inch thick and 5 inch long. We also ordered the spicy octopus but a little disappointed because its more of spicy vegetables than octopus. The side dishes are unlimited too. Although, when the restau became full it takes time before our side dishes gets back to us when we asked it to be refilled. We also received a free soup that comes with the samgyupsal I think.
So far so good. I love the idea that you guys open 24 hours. Anytime I am cravings for korean dishes I can easily go to Dong won. I just hope you serve Kimbop.
Definitely one of the better KBBQ places that I've been to. I went with a group of 4 and we got the samgyupsal and woosamgyup gui platters. All of us are relatively big eaters and we had trouble finishing the meat, so this might even be okay to feed six. All of the meats were really good, but the samgyupsal was everyone's favorite.
The banchan were plentiful and delicious, especially the kimchi. We probably asked for five refills. Service here was really good - our server was friendly and came by often to flip the meat or refill water/banchan. I would definitely come here again. It is better to come in a group of 4 so you can get the bigger combo specials with more variety of meat.
We ate here at Dong Won Garden for an office lunch out. In total, the experience was great. We saw lots of Korean items such as cup noodles, Ice cream and THE FAMOUS FIRE NOODLES!! We were shookt since everything is so cheap!!! 💕
Samgyupsal
- I love it how they cooked the meat for us. The meat is really juicy and thick. For 8 people, 3 orders of samyeopsal was enough. It comes with 5-8 side dishes which added flavor to everything.
Dak Gui
- Yummy! Downside is that, when it was being grilled, the spices stinged our eyes.
Side Dishes and Sauce
- We likes almost all of the side dishes. For my personal taste, I loved everything except the pickeled brown veggie. 😳😳😳
🔥 Favorites 🔥
Samgyupsal, Banana Side Dish, Kimchi,
A 24/7 restaurant, it's a witness to our late night food cravings. I've been going to this restaurant with my family, now with my husband, for years. What's great about Dong Won is their Banchan (side dishes) you get 10 sides of various kinds which are all refillable.
Their food are usually on point and better than other Korean restaurants I've eaten in. Their bulgogis are always a hit. Their soups are also great tasting.
The restaurant itself looks like an ild house. They also have private rooms and you can also dine on those small tables wherein you sit on tatami mats for a more authentic feel. Their restrooms are clean. And they have a separate room for those who'd like to smoke.
Good choice for family gatherings
We went here exactly a year ago. Spacious place. I was able to buy saba in this restaurant which I had no problem cooking. This and the ice cream is the memories I particularly remember.
Food was good. We ordered the bibimbap, samgyupsal, and korean beef stew. Korean beef stew was perfect. Full of flavor, meat was tender. Bibimbap lacked a bit of flavor. And the samgyupsal was alright.
My favorite part about eating in Japanese or Korean restaurants are the short tables where you have to indian sit. I don't know why but it just feels more authentic! :P
The side dishes they offered were pretty good. Kimchi was just the right kind of spicy, but the broccoli was a bit undercooked (it wasn't as soft as it should be). The korean pancake (I forgot what that's called!!) was really good--not too thin, soft and still warm when it arrived.
I'm not sure if the side dishes and lettuce are unlimited but we did get three refills of some of them.
Celebrated a friend's bday here and I must say that i am quite feeling a bit skeptic about it since I am not a fan of Korean food but somehow Dong Won made me think otherwise. Been here last month and I'm looking forward to coming back again. Maybe this time, i'll try to have a rundown on their menu and probably add a few pictures too. Over all, it was good. Food is great.
My favorite Korean restaurant!!!
A bit pricey than other eat all you can but they serve the best beef stew on stone pot!!! Just come here for fresh prime meat --- eat some galbi, sangupsyal pair with a colorful ( healthy!) bibimbap and cold noodles! Its like your in Korea :)
In the busy street of Makati City hids a restaurant that serves authentic and delectable Korean Food. Nominated as one of the Manila’s Best Korean Restaurant and also received a certificate for Zomato User’s Choice for 24 Hrs. Restaurant, Dong Won Korean Restaurant located at Jupiter St. , Makati City is a food hub perfect for those who want to grill and look for a nice place for some chilling on a Friday night. In its wide space, the restaurant is really perfect for group or even couples for some intimate dates. They’ve maintain the ambiance of being simple and serene. If you would noticed in front of the cashier has a medium cage where inside it was a Talking Myna Bird greeting people in korean language like “gaaahhhkkk ….. Annyeonghaseyooo….gaaaahhhkkk”
My younger brother got hungry and asked me where do I want to eat so since he love Korean so much even the food, I suggested to try Dong Won so with no hesitations we went their for a lunch. **BWAHAHAHAHA**
What I love the most at Dong Won are their banchan or their assorted side appetizers that make you full and satisfied. Like Kimchi, Sweet Bananas, Sprouts, Okra, Dilis, Egg and more. Good thing of it is its all for FREE!
They served a Ssam, dish in a Korean Cuisine where in the leafy vegetables commonly lettuce are used to wrap a piece of meat such as pork or other filling. We use the banchan that they serve earlier as a filling for our Ssam. It is usually a bite size to avoid spilling it over.
We want to try grilling our own meat so the Dak Gui or Spicy Chicken that we ordered is not yet cooked. The waiters and waitresses are kind enough to assist us in grilling.
lso ordered pre-cooked dishes to taste like the Nakji Bokeum or Spicy Octopus. Yeah, my younger brother loves Spicy Food a lot. They also serve other dishes and meals that I’m surely you will love. With its wide range of Korean food selection definitely you will be bloated after this one.
If you want to try their own fresh meat you can buy inside the restaurant there is part where all you see is fridges.
They also serve some frozen desserts from their ice cream station were you can buy some popular Korean Ice Creams. I tried the Strawberry Ice Cream on a Cone
After 2 weeks I also invited my friends in the office to try Korean Cuisines at Dong Won and they love it.

Sinfully delicious. Not a big fan of Korean dish but this resto is on top of my list. Beef stew is amazing, samgyupsal was enjoyable, rice wine just puts everything great for a night in this resto.
Manila has become an exciting place for Korean food right now. It boasts a vast array of Korean eateries, each with its own personality and niche. We’ve had fun trying as many as possible, and although it’s been difficult to choose my top favorites, Dong Won is one of those gems that serve authentic yet affordable dishes. Twas my friend's post birthday celeb and they've been wanting to try something new for a change. Being a foodie myself, I volunteered to eat at a Korean place coz it has been two long years since my last visit.
Dong Won wins the prize for originality, it combines the best of both worlds: a Korean restaurant and Filipino Hospitality. It’s impossible to ignore the nicely sized portions and copious quantities of free banchan, however the quality of dishes is not compromised, and you can tell they were made with love. Probably the most authentic of all Korean eateries in the metro. The ambiance is fun if surreal, and the BBQ menu has a good reputation. The menu is brimming with the classics as well as more adventurous dishes like raw sirloins & tenderloins, beef tongue, fresh fish and spicy pork soup, all of which will delight foodies. Ambiance wise, we felt so relaxed that we ended up staying all evening, rather than moving on to a nearby bar as we’d planned. It’s rare to feel this welcome in busy soho.
What we adore most at Dong Won is that, it has attitude. It’s a genuine and subtly ingenious place that continues to make us feel sentimental and excited. I recommend DW especially to first timers.

We've been coming to this place even before the start of the Korean craze in the country. Maybe 2008?.. We've always enjoyed eating in the area where you have to sit on the floor, although we've also eaten in one of the private rooms, as well as in the main dining area.
Difference: if you're in the main dining area, service is faster, compared to when you're in the enclosed area sitting down, and in the private areas. Generally, though, service is quick.
Their side dishes are unlimited. So if you're in a budget, and there are only two of you, just order one meal, and have them refill endlessly. Hehe. (That was one of the tips of one of their Korean patrons during one of our first visits hehe).
The samgyeopsal can be cooked in the kitchen, but you can also cook it on your own. Their yukgaejang (i can't find it in the menu posted here though) also has nice spicy-ness and beefy-ness.
Bottomline: yummy, fun, authentic Korean :)
Legit Korean food in the heart of Barangay Bel-Air!
It’s best to eat here in groups (they are accommodating reservations). All food items are good for sharing and they served refillable side dishes. Just make sure that you can take the tang of kimchi since it’s their main ingredient with most of their food.
My family and I really love Korea and well, Korean Food; we like the fact that almost everything is grilled and has lots of veggies. I've always been seeing Dong Won whenever I drive home from school, so one time I've brought my friends here to try the food, and we did not get disappointed. I've then brought more friends here, then my sister, and recently my entire family. Honestly, what I like most about Dong Won is that they refill the side dishes without any additional charge and without any limit. We really love side dishes, (or banchan as they call it in Korea) and disappointingly, in some Korean restos that we've been to, they always had a certain 'limit'. Anyway, the food here is great! There is also some Korean authenticity when you dine in here; close enough as to how it would be like when you dine in Korea.
I loved everything we ordered here. Bulgogi, bibimbap, samyeopsal and some squid dish. Nabusog na ako sa side dishes (banchan) palang. Super dami and para nang ulam and dessert at the same time. Will definitely come back!
Been here quite a few times. Nothing Fancy but the food is good. Only Korean Restaurant that has unlimited appetizers and lettuce served. Yes, they will not change you for reordering.
I love their Bangja Gui. The barbecue marinade is sweet with a little spiciness, and the best thing about Korean cuisine is their side dishes. The staffs are very accommodating.
My husband brought me to this restaurant because he wanted me to share his good experience with the place. After our visit, I definitely agreed with his review. Dong Won serves unlimited appetizers, fresh vegetables and really tasty Korean dishes that you can opt to cook in front of you or have the kitchen pre-cook for you.
This place at first makes you a little nervous with the location and the interior decoration, but I saw the good rating so I rolled with it. We ordered some BBQ, Steamed Dumplings, and the Steamed Beef Short Ribs Stew. The stew was the star of the show. The taste was superb and we wanted more. The amount of appetizers they bring you out is overwhelming. Service was good and the prices were normal. Definitely recommend for the food taste.
This is my go-to Korean restaurant: it's just a few steps from our office, it's open 24 hours and it's even open during Holidays! :)
They serve a wide variety of banchans which you may request to be refilled. Staples for me are their dumplings, beef ribs stew (fall-of-the-bones meat) & barbecue. You can have your meats grilled on your table, provided you get 2 orders. The barbecues are served with lettuce leaves which you may opt to wrap your grilled meat with.
Service is okay. We usually eat there past 12 midnight so there are fewer customers inside (and so we have the staff's attention almost all to ourselves).
For me this is one of the best korean restaurant in the country... Masarap ang timpla nila and fresh yung mga meat. And they are open 24/7 :)
Dong won proves that delicious food doesn't have to be necessarily found in fancy restos. The ambiance is good. Generous in appetizers. And very friendly staff.
Like any Korean restaurant, they are very generous with their appetizers in wide variety. We ordered samgyeopsal, which costs php300. It's good for at most 2 persons. We also got free soup for placing 2 orders of samgyeopsal. Not sure what that soup was, but it's not something that I would recommend. Well, it's free anyway. What I would recommend is their beef stew; very tasty!
Don't dine in here if you have an important meeting, because you'll smell like smoked meat afterwards. This is because some people prefer to grill their food on their tables, and there's limited exhaust in the area. But if this would be your last stop, then go ahead and enjoy!

A pretty decent korean place. The food was not a disappointment. We were a party of 4, with me going with Bibimbap. We also had kimchi stew and dumplings! Didn't expect the dumplings to be a huge plate of 12. It went well with all the appetizers. My bibimbap did not disappoint as it was good. I did not even need to use all the chili paste and the clay pot was hot throughout the meal. The staff was so-so but not horrible as the other reviews may lead one to believe. A good place to get hot spicy food and with the servings, good for heavy eaters as well
I'm usually after the Banchan whenever I'm in Korean Restaurants so when I ordered bibimbap for takeout at from this place, I was delightfully surprised that they included Banchan in my order! So nice of them!
"Fair priced Yummy Korean BBQ"
This place might seem one of those pretend places since all around the area are bars that sell women and whatnot but when we went to the place, they served a hefty amount of appetizers and no-nonsense 180g of meat worth php300. Since my companions and I were really craving for Korean food, we went around the area to scout for a fair priced place that offers good Korean food with bibimbap in their menu.
Korean places around the area usually don't have everything in their menu. As I learned from an inside information, these owners talk and respect the menus made by their other Korean competitors so usually the menus are themed.
Anyway, we ordered samgyupsal 2 orders so we can experience our own table grilling and enjoy the experience. We also ordered kimchi chigae that went with free rice, bibimbap, spicy chicken liver and heart, 2 cokes, and 2 beers.
I was skeptical at first because I already have a favorite Korean BBQ place and I was expecting this place to be categorized under one of my "tried there but will never go back...thank God for the experience". I'm glad to be wrong. They first served our appetizers which consisted of 3 kinds of kimchi, potato with carrots, sweet potato in sugar syrup, bean sprouts, pechay kimchi, okra kimchi, broccoli and cauliflower kimchi, scrambled egg with veggies and mixed vegetables. With these appetizers, I was already in kimchi heaven. They really make good kimchi variations! And the best part here is that...all of it...bottomless!
Our next order arrived bibimbap which consisted of yummy ingredients other Korean places don't have. My only complain here is that it lacked chili paste but you can request for more if you want.
Whenever I'm in the mood for some good Korean food my go to place is always Dong Won Garden in Jupiter. This gem of a place is a little Korean treasure throve of flavors, with some additional perks.
As it is in many korean restaurants, free appetizers come with your korean bbq meal, but unlike other restaurants they are NOT stingy on the servings. I've visited theplace so much that they know I can down three servings of kimchi even before the meat is on the grill but they don't mind. Enjoy the flavorful variety of appetizers, and don't be shy to ask for more!
The Korean barbecue is decently priced at 300 - 700 per plate serving 2-3. Korean bbq newbie? Pick the kalbi and ask them to prepare it on your table. You also get lettuce and garlic with sauces to wrap the meat with, otherwise order their rice which tastes amazeballs.
Tip: if you are a smoker they have a separate smoking dining area that is air conditioned and very comfortable. I personally love this, and make the most out of it as a casual lunch meeting venue for my staff cause it is rarely crowded.
Dong Won is open 24 hours and as I've just found out is also open on holidays because their boss only observes Korean holidays.
Have a korean ice cream sandwich before you head out!
