Makati is a pretty bustlin’ place during weekdays but come the weekend, many of its happenin’ venues turn into relatively quiet spots where you and the fam can go for a meal.
Take 121 Restaurant at Allegro Center for example. After hours during weekdays, it may be a watering hole for Makati’s young urban professionals. During one Saturday, however, it was the setting for a nice family-style lunch where my fellow foodies and I enjoyed 121’s take on down-home Pinoy dishes.

They got a larger branch here in Allegro Makati. It doesn't have a Canta room but overall, the branch js really spacious. I love dining on the terrace area (al fresco). 121 Restaurant is known as a place to chill and to spend time with friends. Did you know that they are also offering a good family-style lunch here? We dined here late 12 noon and it was not crowded.
We got to try some of their bestselling Filipino dishes.
- I like their version of Lumpiang Shanghai. Each piece has the same size as siomai, and it was chunky. The sweet chili dip is a good complement of this dish.
- The Grilled Liempo was tender and I like its smokey flavor.
- I like the sourness of the Sinigang soup, but that time, it was a bit salty.
- The Sisig has the taste and spicy kick (tolerable) but I wish the sisig will have more meat other than the fat (unless their version is really presented that way).
- I tasted a unique dessert here called Champorado Cheesecake. It was sweet and has a mild sweetness and bitterness at the same time.
Price range is on the affordable side (if you'll compare to the other restobars out there).
Friday it is! Bring your family and friends and enjoy your favorite drinks and Filipino dishes at 121 Restaurant.
My favorite picks are the tender GRILLED LIEMPO and the oh so meaty LUMPIA!

Lechon kawali was crispy, tastey but not too salty. (generous serving too!) and the pork sinigang was just the right amount of sour. High repeat valuen for food.
121 is a great place to bring your barkada and get some few drinks. We ordered the monggo soup which is good. Their siomai tastes okay. They are famous for the 121 grilled liempo and make sure you use the 121 special sauce... their calamares is okay. Their pork binagoongan is average. Overall, this is a great place and with zomato gold it makes a perfect place to eat and drink.
One of our faves, heck we even hold our company events here! Good place, good food, good service, good people, what more can you ask for?! Have tried Beef Salpicao, Beef Tapa, Grilled Liempo, Adobo Flakes, Liempo, Sisig, Lumpiang Shanghai and liking everything so far 👍👍👍
Quick lunch? No problem... their service is so fast and and staff are very attentive. Ambiance is not that crowded though its lunch time, a little improvement on the food, Fried lumpiang shanghai tasted like Siomai, literally. Even the shape :) thats all!

I work around the area and good to know na may restaurant na pwede mag avail ng Zomato Gold 1+1 perks kahit almost midnight.
Binigay namin ung code before ordering. Pero pagdating ng bill di nakafree ung isang meal kaya pinaulit pa namin. Buti na lang nahabol pa.
Good food. Nothing special. Pero masarap yung siomai nila dito.

Their food was excellent! We had the sizzling bulalo and sizzling salpicao. Both dishes were really satisfying. Prices are also reasonable. We’ll be going back here soon. 👍🏼
ONE of the best liempo in the Metro. Sulit pa pag lalo na pag naka ZOMATO GOLD. Legit food and great Ambience. Value for money talaga at dame parking.
A chill place to unwind and have a break away from life's stress. This place is also my go to place for their challenging quiz night. It is a place for the geeks to showcase their kept genius brain. The food is not that special but you will have fun here. My top pick here is their sisig.

We plotted our Chino Roces ext visit to end at 121 resto and bar. The initial plan was to spend dinner here but we ended up ordering drinks with some bar chow. My gf ordered the Frozen Margarita since their 121 Pink Panty was out of order. Too bad since we were not able to experience the secret ingredient in that drink. I was a bit of a rum guy so I picked the 121 Sandal was available. We also ordered their Lumpiang shanghai best with their special sauce.
While waiting I my explore the interior surroundings. It's what one would expect from a bar but I get a vibe that this place feels dated. I kinda liked the fact the place had a magic sing type gadget for those who like to bond with a bit of sing along. This machine would come in handy if there won't be a band.
It did not take long for liquor to be prepared and served to us. The 121 Scandal concoction was to my liking. It did not have the strong hard drink taste and I can still enjoy the mixed soda in the drink. The Lumpiang shanghai was a blessing for me since the contents were dense and not the crust dominant kind. My faith in rolls was restored and to add, it was even more tasty with the house special sauce.
We enjoyed our time in 121. the place might look dated but it gives off that chill vibe. this combined with their food selection is good for customers who are seeking a night cap after a long day.

Great food . The best talaga ang sizzling salficao yeapyyy and grilled pork liempo tara na eat na sa 121 . I love lumpiang shanghai papasheet ka sa sarap tara na at kumaen sa 121 grilled retaurant .
121's second branch is low key and comfy in a part of the city where you wouldn't expect one of their branches to be in. This branch has entertainment on Tuesdays (Quiz Night) and band nights from time to time. The food is awesome - especially the pork chop and liempo when combined with their special 121 sauce! Friendly and fun!
Food is good. Ambience is good. We ordered sisig, salpicao (so tender and yummy!) cheese fries, shanghai and crispy pata. Their cocktails are a bit expensive though, at ₱200 per glass.
The food was surprisingly good, not the low quality customary to similar bars. The nachos serving was huge and overloaded with grated cheese and cheese sauce. The jalapeno poppers still packed a punch. The sisig was really fatty but they used mostly pig ears which gave a unique texture. Their vodka sprite tasted like watered down Shirley Temple and the rum coke was mostly coke, so these are some things they need to work on.
My mom and I had Grilled Pork Chop and Lumpiang Shanghai. THEIR FOOD IS FRESH TASTING. We absolutely loved the Garlic Rice too. Good portions and price.
After attending the Outkast Paradigm Fashion Show at Green Sun, our manager brought us here at 121 Restaurant for our late dinner. The ambiance was great and the staff is accommodating. I liked what I saw on their cork board "We entertain dumb questions" HAHA! But what I liked best about their restau is their Grilled Blue Marlin as my main dish. I was disappointed with their Chicken Kebab since it tasted like it was overcooked. All in all, I still love this restau :)
All I can say about 121 is… that it's EPICLY THE BEST.
Can't get enough of their buy one take one cocktails! My favorite one's the 121 smurf. For such a low price, your taste buds will be tickled by their very chillax-ing drinks. 121 is such a cool escape bro. Wouldn't hurt to try, right?
This is a typical grille/bar resto but with far better food than Dencios, Gerry's, Gilligan's and the like. I like this branch because of its non-smoking area/airconditioned.
Try their Sinuglaw, Salpicao, Lumpia shanghai, Crispy pata.. It's all generously portioned and tastes like what your Lola serves you.
I have been here a few times with friends, service is good and the atmosphere is relaxing. Only drawback are their tiny restrooms.

121 in Allegro Centre, if I'm not mistaken, is the second branch of this little chain that I hear does very well in the Eastwood area. They started out in Salcedo Village many years ago with a small place also very popular for lunch to this day. Their barbecues are good, and even on balmy nights, the resto turns into a jampacked watering hole - the beer is sold at a good price, and the bar chow is good.
I often hang out with friends at this branch on weeknights, where we like pairing our beer with classic "pulutan" like tofu with kinchay, their admittedly fatty sisig, the chicharon bulaklak (this item being rather rare on any menu). I'd recommend first-timers to sample their classic Grilled Liempo barbecue, which they do consistently well, or their tomato pasta. 121 Allegro is like a pub without the plush upholstery. The music is good, the staff super friendly, they've got TVs playing shows, and free wi-fi.
This is a great after work stop. They do quiz nights on Tuesdays and live music on Thursdays. I always have a good time when I'm here.
