If I am not mistaken David's Tea house was set in Greenbelt 1 if not 2014, earliest 2013 but whenever we are craving for Chinese cuisine and looking for a bit affordable we usually dine in this branch. And food are good also.

Their dishes come in big servings. We usually order their rice meals, and on my last visit I tried their mango sago which was really refreshing. It’s the perfect dessert after a heavy meal. Never had a bad experience with their service.

When youre craving for chinese food, go here. It is all-in-one resto from congee, rice meals, veggies, and even dumplings. Their dumplings are wonderful (not the cheap type) and really meaty. This branch is quite busy but overall i like it.

This is my mom's favorite restaurant and my least favorite restaurant to go to but to be honest the food is really great and really comforting as yiu enjoy each dish. Whenever we ran out of restaurants to choose from this is where we mostly land. I am satisfied with the food here, but one thing they have to improve I guess is the presentation of the food.

I've tried their Yang Chow fried rice, Fried Spring Roll and Fried Dumplings and I must say that their Yang Chow Fried Rice is the bomb!! Relatively cheap price compared to other chinese restos but comparable to the best of the best for sure.

Will definitely recommend the Yang Chow fried rice and the Fried spring roll for first timers. Rating it only at 4 stars right now because I still have yet to try some of their other best sellers.

One of my favorite Chinese Restaurants!

I've been here many times and tasted all their congees and dim sum.
For congee, I preferred David's Congee and Fish Fillet Congee.
For dim sum, I love Hakaw, Chicken Feet and Machang!

Other dishes like David's Special Noodles, Lemon Chicken, Spareribs with special sauce in pot and their chopsuey were also good!
Lemon Chicken was my favorite from this list. 😊

Great customer service as usual!

We went here for merienda but ended up having an early dinner instead with the amount of food we ordered. It’s my first time to eat there and overall, we enjoyed the food. We had the usual dimsum - siomai and hakaw. But what really stood out for me was the Hot Prawn Salad. It was my first time to try it and I was hesitant at first but I instantly liked it. Love the combination of the sweet & sour taste. And there were so many shrimps in one serving. Though the salad’s pricey, you’re really paying for the big serving and the taste.

Five stars for the quality of the food, servings and fast service. This restaurant is usually full during lunch hours, though we were seated outside -the food server is very attentive. Good value for money too.

THE PLACE (3.5/5)

It is located near the entrance of Greenbelt 1 in Ayala, Makati. The place was packed when we got there and it smelled weird inside. Though the sight of the food in the other tables plus our grumbling tummies compensated with the smell.

THE FOOD (3.5/5)

We ordered shark's fin dumplings, since I was craving it, and I was disappointed. It tasted so weird and... fake. You get what I mean? I saw some misua strands inside so it looked like leftovers blended by flour- I don't know! I couldn't even finish one bite. Good thing the rest of our orders were good.
Their beef brisket noodles is okay. A little bland for my taste but at least the beef is tender. Their pancit canton is my favorite. I'm not a fan of those instant pancit cantons but maybe I just needed to try the freshly cooked one. It had veggies and pork liver and meat that I love. It was flavorful too.
I also love the fact that they serve tea for free (I love free stuff, most especially free food). Maybe that's why it's called David's tea house. Oh, I'm so smart! Just kidding.

THE PRICE (4/5)

Shark's fin dumplings- Php 95

Beef brisket noodles- Php 195

Pancit Canton- Php 130

The price is okay for a Chinese restaurant. Although that 4-piece shark's fin dumpling should've cost less. I have so much hate for that dumpling. I have been craving for weeks and that was what I got?! *flips table*

THE SERVICE (4.5/5)

Their staff were accommodating even with the number of guests.

OVERALL (3.5/5)

I would go back, try other food like congee, and recommend this to others but not the shark's fin dumpling.

This afternoon, I ordered a beef congee and siopao asado.

Best time to visit is after lunch around 2pm until 4pm. 👌

The service was excellent.
Price was affordable.
Food, great as always, particularly love the siopao asado. 😉

Davids tea house one of the iconic reataurants in Greenbelt. It serves Tsinoy food at reasonable prices.

Went here for some noodles, ordered the David's Special Hofan noodles, noodles with beef brisket ,fish cakes, mushroom ball, beef ball, fish ball and wontons ,the noodles were the flat ones called hofan. The taste of the wonton were on the mark you can really taste the shrimp in it,brisket was tender, fish cake was not that fishy.

Also have some siopao asado buns.Delicious nicely done and chunky pork asado filling in a perfectly steamed bun.

Place a bit old school Tsinoy restaurant style, service is also good.A value for money if you're in Greenbelt area.

For fast (and I mean, really fast) service, must visit David's Tea House here in Greenbelt 1. They have a big dining space that gets filled up quickly during peak hours. We got a table before the crowd and after 5 minutes of taking our orders, it was promptly delivered. We had the Classic Half Chicken, Yang Chow Rice and Broccolli Flowers in Garlic. Everything was served hot. The rice looked small in its serving bowl but was surprised that it was able to feed our big group. The chicken was crisp and had a nice faint clove or anise taste, not too overpowering. The meat was soft and juicy. The vegetables had a nice crisp crunch but was cooked through. The garlic was a nice touch to the dish. We enjoyed eating here, but expect the place to be noisy. With everyone in a rush. Ask for tea because it will not be served unless requested. Recommended.

I have low expectations from this restaurant because I've tried it before in their San Pablo City branch and was completely disappointed. But the food in this branch is surprisingly good. We ordered hakaw shrimp (fresh and juicy), shrimp siomai, Japanese siomai, lemon chicken (also good), honey glazed chicken (this is my favorite), sauteed squid with broccoli, crispy fried noodles, yang chow fried rice, and pineapple fried rice (I like this better that yang chow). Service was also faster than expected considering that the place was full when we went. Overall, a good dining experience.

Tip: It's best to reserve a table prior to your visit to avoid waiting. It tends to be pretty crowded especially during dinner time.

Food is consistently good and the service rarely slows down even when the branch is full, which happens pretty often. All the soups I've tried are good so far and I have trouble letting go of the Lemon Chicken and Sweet & Sour Pork. Hakaw Shrimp is a dimsum favorite though the congee is so-so; rice with viands have more value for me.

After years of having passed or seen a David's Tea House branch, it was only last week that I actually tried one of their dishes due to being sick. I got their Hot & Sour Soup to help nurse a persistent cold and actually ended up liking it to the point that my family and I sat down for dinner in their Greenbelt branch.

Appearance-wise, there is nothing much to comment on as it is a standard Chinese restaurant. The ventilation was good with some sections being colder than others. It was also quite clean.

Service-wise, the staff were efficient and with the layout of the restaurant it was very easy for them to spot a raised hand from a customer.

Food-wise, we ordered the following:

Hot & Sour Soup (P265)
I find the price quite fair for a large serving of soup that is good for 3-5 people with room for a second serving even. I like the acidity of the soup as well as it's thick but not too heavy texture. The ingredients are also quite generous, with something being in every slurp. I would keep coming back for this comfort soup.

David's Cold Cuts (P330)
A platter of pork, garlic chicken, sweet beef, century egg and jellyfish. A classic platter with a good serving size for each type of food.

Hakaw Shrimp (P115)
Another standard dish, the plump dumplings go well dipped in chili and soy sauce. They were served nice and hot.

Kuchay Dumplings (P95)
I am a big fan of this kind of dumpling but found this to be okay. They lacked the juicy garlic flavor that should burst out from the first bite. They were very round and filling though.

Salted Fish Fried Rice (P220)
Good serving size, but that is about it. Lacks flavor and the salted fish is actually breaded and deep-fried in small chunks mixed in with the rice. Not something I would get again.

Polonchay w/Garlic (P225)
It was bland, lacking seasoning and flavor in general. Just blanched vegetables with garlic mixed in, could have been much better.

Over-all, I am giving this establishment a 3.5 rating because everything about it is average. The serving sizes give you your money's worth in a sense that they would leave you full, but not very satisfied. I still do like their soup though and would grab more of it for take out in the future.

There's a lack of choices in Greenbelt 1 compared to its other sections. So since we were rushing to watch a play, we ended up having quick and classic Hong Kong/ Chinese cuisine. It's one of the go to types of food that's familiar, affordable and fills you up.

Am a fan of vegetables especially sautéed style and their Lo Hon Chai was prepared well. It has crisp textures yet saucy features. I also loved the crunchy touch of its Chinese mushrooms.

Also picked the usuals and they didn't disappoint. The Lemon Chicken was sweet and lemony as expected. Its meat quite plump and was very immersed with the sauce. The Beef with Broccoli, a nice balance of soft beef and fresh vegetable.

The one I liked most was their Sizzling King Dao Spareribs. It wasn't as fatty and was lean. The sauce was nice combination of sweet, spice and salty features, quite addictive. Best paired with rice.

The Mango Sago though was a bad pick. It was too artificial and way too sweet. You have to skip this one.

Another must-go to Chinese restau when I'm in the Philippines, congee is a favorite, simple yet full of flavor, ginger and garlic taste combined which is very relaxing, strips of mushroom and drizzled by fried wanton skin. Ahhh! Yuuummmm! The patatim was good, tender meat and seasoned with sweet and salty sauce, melt in your mouth experience. For the healthier choices, ampalaya (bitter gourd) with beef was an O.K, we thought it was very bitterly done -- I wish they could cook in a way that the intensity of bitterness is decreased. Fish fillet with tofu and yang chow are my fave too. The rice in itself is a viand, so if your on a budget, put this on the choices as well. Wanting for more congee!!

Cheap and tasty Chinese comfort food (dimsum and rice toppings) in the heart of expensive Greenbelt. The flavors are there (MSG!) and I'm not complaining. Ordered sweet and sour pork rice topping (yang chow upgrade), siomai and hagaw. I felt like I was in Binondo! Reminds me of my childhood eating at the now extinct Maxim's Tea House. Sarap!

Casual Chinese restaurant but the taste is good considering the price. Dishes are not so "Filipinized". You can order various kinds of dim sum and all are good. Noodle soup is a little sweeter but good enough. I visit here often when I want to eat Chinese.

I love this David's Tea House branch for the service I get. The staff is accommodating and they readily assist their customers in choosing the right dishes. We tried out their sweet and sour pork (which my picky eater brother liked) and their salt and pepper shrimps which i liked. A bit too spicy by the end though, but still good and flavorful.

David's Tea House is almost the same level/theme with Causeway except Causeway has more dimsum /dumplings in their menu. Their dumplings are very goo. Along with their rice menus, viands and noodle dishes. Price is affordable. Their Greenbelt branch is always packed during lunchtime. Servings are sufficient, price is affordable. I would suggest this restaurant.

I like david's tea house's sweet and sour pork and their salt and pepper spareribs the most.  The former has that crunchiness to it that I love and the latter is just so flavorful that I end up eating a lot of rice.

We just ate here once and its payday that time so we order separately, I ordered for Pugon Roast Chicken and I was surprise because it is served with lots of ginger dressing with it. I really don’t like ginger so I just removed it and ate the chicken separately. I suggest they should lessen the ginger so the customers should appreciate more the taste of the chicken. #justsaying

They serve one of the better Yang Chow fried rice in the metro. Hot, aromatic, and irresistible. I don't really eat rice for dinner, but this one is an exception to my diet. Masarap talaga!

I paired it with their dimsum platter and spare ribs with pork sauce in pot. All didn't disappoint. Came home fully satisfied.

Very affordable noodles and dimsum place which for me, is above those similar big restaurants out there. For some reason, my favorite branch would be the one in Poblacion since I never recalled getting disappointed dining there.

This Greenbelt branch is one of their earliest (if not the earliest) branches and has consistently served good "yam cha" fare at a decent cost. This place is highly recommended.

The place was full during lunch on a weekday, but there were still a few tables available here and there. The place was brightly lit, just the way I liked it. We ordered the dimsum platter and the pork century beef congee. The dimsum platter consisted of various dimsum (hakaw, siomai, sharkskin, etc.) about 2-3 pcs each. The dimsum were just okay -- not very good, not bad either. One of the dimsum (I don't know what it's called, sorry) was mostly composed of fats, instead of lean meat, and was very oily. The congee was also alright. The pork was shredded into thin pieces so you won't have a hard cutting it. Overall, the food were okay. I would visit it again if I'm craving for Chinese food.
