I'm a big fan of buffets. Yakimix is one the recommended buffets in Manila. I've been here for a couple of times because my family suggest this place whenever there's a birthday/celebration. We always had a great time dining here.
Sometimes, you need to wait in the line to dine here, but it's okay.
Ambiance is spacious, staffs were just okay. They always run out of shrimp, slow refill.
It's still worth your penny.

Enjoyed the buffet choices from the appetizers, main meals,rice/noodles,desserts and of course the “hibachi”. I love the tempura. I just wish they replenish it fast.

For those who love to grill, this is the place to be. We spent some of our dinner outs here before together with my officemates. They have a very wide variety of choices for your grilling experience, while other stations do not have so much choices to offer. Well as their name "Yaki"-mix suggests, grilling is really their main attraction. The price is quite cheaper compared to other buffets and this is really a good place to bond.
Super friendly and talented staffs (who sings and dances for birthday celebrants). Hot viands. Buffet includes various sushis and makis, cooked chinese viands, several meat and veggies for your cook-your-own experience, unlimited drinks and desserts such as ice cream, halo-halo and cakes.

Yakimix is really affordable.
They have fewer choices compared to other buffet restaurants. But considering the price, it's acceptable.
This is our go-to buffet place since it's cheaper compared to other restaurants.

Place? Clean and accessible.
Ambiance? Relaxing. Sometimes it could get crowded and noisy which is normal to these kinds of restaurants since it is a buffet, and it's really cheap so you really need to expect the crowd.
But don't worry, every buffet place is the same.
Coming back? Of course!
Super long line when we dined here. we were 5th on the line waited for about 30 plus minutes. Super loved this branch because they refill the tempura basket almost every 10 minutes. they are quite generous with it. 🙂
My family and I have been going here since 2009. Nothing has changed. The foods that are served are still the same. Only serves 3 different cuisines— Japanese, Chinese and Korean. But I have to admit it that I'm having fun when it comes to the grilling part. Not all buffets have a smokeless grill type. The greenbelt branch has so many people which results to long lines. Be patient!

One fine day in the office, I saw Audrey, a friend of mine from the office, researching on "Yakimix". What started her interest, I have no clue, but when I heard her talking about going to visit the recently opened Greenbelt Branch, I knew I wanted in. I'm usually not a fan of those places where you have to grill your own food, because the smell gets all over your clothes, and when I pay to eat in a restaurant, I expect THEM to do all the work. Otherwise I should've just eaten at home.
It's great to be back. This a well-loved buffet restaurant of my family. So many memories here. Our seat was by the window, couch area.. You can see the setting of the sun. Loved the shrimps, raw and cooked.. With salt, garlic and pepper. Yummy drinks too -iced tea, mango juice, coffee, tea. Service was pleasant too. Happy to see you again Yakimix. :)

The Yakimix dining experience is fairly consistent across branches but that doesn't make it the best one out there. It's hard to manage dedicated buffet places like this one, I understand, but then there are always ways to improve.
As a Korean grill buffet, you'll cook most of your own food. Options are decent but stock levels aren't consistently maintained during peak hours. There are some ready to eat options also served in the buffet but they don't particularly stand out flavor wise.
They also have a sushi bar, which mainly has sashimi and a lot for variations on California Maki style creations. Skip the Maki and just enjoy the tuna and salmon sashimi, provided they've restocked the table.
Dessert is where the buffet is weakest as most of their confections never seem to taste right. Sometimes they're not sweet enough while other times the cakes are just dry. The ice cream is your safer option.
If you eat a lot then you should get decent value for money, provided you don't mind the noise level, the wait for a table, and the chaos of navigating the buffet stations.

We went here on a Sunday and as expected, there were plenty of people. 😋
The place was big. Everyone was busy. We were seated on a couch that can fit maybe 6 to 7 pax (I was with my SO, there were just the 2 of us.) Ambience was for me just okay. A lot of people walking around. Kinda noisy since the place was busy. There was music playing. A band singing for birthday celebrants. Your typical eat-all-you-can place in Manila.
There's a wide variety of Japanese-Korean food here. Top picks were:
1. Shrimp tempura
2. Sashimi (Tuna and Salmon)
3. Pork bacon strips (for barbeque)
There were a lot of areas to improve on tho (for me).
1. It takes time before they can refill a certain dish. Given that there were a lot of guests on a Sunday, they should have that ready or perhaps double the amount of serving on their buffet table.
2. The signage for the raw meat for barbeque were unruly. I don't eat spicy food. Unfortunately, I picked a spicy beef for barbeque without me knowing because the signs were placed wherever and not on top of the meat it's for. Please, those signs can save a life. Have it on top or beside the meat it represents! Haha.
You get your money's worth here. A good place to eat. It's really fun and exciting. A must try, I should say. ^_^

They're not really that welcoming. They're just ok. They seem very busy and preoccupied with the food preparation.
More relaxing ambiance compared to Dads. Maybe it's because of their high ceiling and the lighting. The staff always picks our empty plates but when it comes to refilling supplies for prawn and crabs, well, no matter how quick they are, madali pa ring nauubos kasi agawan talaga. Pizza is cheesy din sarap though I don't suggest na yun ang unahin nyo kasi nakakabusog talaga. Few options for drinks and dessert (pero delicious pa din). And of course, the excitement of grilling, priceless!

I enjoyed about 90% of the food I've tasted. Meats are good and the seafood choices are more interesting if they're spiced up. I enjoyed the maki and tempura but the tuna and salmon sashimi didn't look or taste as fresh as they usually are elsewhere. The pink beverage was good because of the lychee and the blue one for the lemonade.
The dine-in space is fine. Expect waiting in line during lunch and dinner. Refill time for tempura and salmon sashimi are the most challenged.
Good service. Yummy food, esp the seafood. Place could have been bigger to accommodate more customers. Staff are friendly and accomodating. This was the first restaurant where I tried smokeless grilling. I ws hesitant to eat here before because I was worried I'd smell after.
One thing that I loved here is that, the food, almost everything were good! Not saying that it's ridiculously good, but it's a good tasting food for a buffet. But am I the only one who observed that the food offered in buffet around has almost the same taste? ...Just presented in different ways.
Make sure you have reservation or arrive early, since it can get so packed easily. They have spacious space inside the restaurant, though you can't barely notice that when eating. HAHA! What I like at Yakimix is the different grilling food they offer. I wished they can have huge varieties of desserts as well. But never the less, I enjoyed their food without putting a whole on my wallet.
Been here several times already, but as the time goes by, they didn't refill the shrimp for grilling as fast as they could , as well as their tempura. The staff are not that attentive to their guests needs.
For big group like 10, its best to reserve 1 day in advance. Its also better to be there on time to enjoy the ambiance and take photos before the place gets crowded. I like their smokeless grill, coz my toddler has asthma and cant stand too much smoke from grillers. Btw, my son is more that 3 ft but considered free because he still do not eat much and he just sit there and play.
Bbq choices was great, maki lovin people will like this place. There are a lot of choices, even salads!

Ambiance was beautiful..however for the 668 price for dinner I was a bit disappointed for the food choices and the taste. Not so many options for what they are claiming Chinese/Korean/Japanese 😑
We always pass by this branch but it was only recently when we get to eat here. They also have a promo for birthday celebrants but unfortunately, my husband forgot to bring any proof of identification.
We got a table immediately and we went to check out the food. I went to the Japanese station first to get salmon sashimi and some makis. For a buffet, they have ample choices of food to choose from and meat & seafood for grilling. They also have sodas for drinks unlike in the Trinoma branch where the only available drink is iced tea.
Had a weekday lunch here with my office mates and I was pleased because the place wasn't so crowded although the staff didn't seem to be jolly enough. Nevertheless, the food tastes good but I was disappointed because they didn't have my favorite red iced tea. I feel like the choices weren't too much but whatever was available still tasted good.
I recommend the pizza, shrimps, white pasta, lechon kawali, Singaporean fishballs (if you're a fan of Indian taste), butter caramel cake, chocolate ball and red iced tea if it's available. Coffee or hot chocolate could be the finisher to you buffet session since there was no hot tea.
tempura overload! we went here for my friend's birthday lunch treat. i liked the tempura and sushi selection. their filipino dishes are good too (loved the lechon kawali). they just didn't have my fave beef/asparagus- and, not much beef in the menu if i remember it right. perhaps it was just on that day, i hope.
Yakimix is always on my list when it comes to buffet. I was just a bit disappointed the last time we visited them because they didn't have much choices to grill except for hotdogs and meat. But good thing there's sushi! 🤗
I always recommend yakimix for those people who wants to cheat and add some layers of pooch without spending too much.

I don't fancy buffets but Yakimix is always worth a try. Their Greenbelt branch has a few food choices which I don't mind since you get to try everything. And what I love most with Yakimix is that they have this smokeless grill on your own table. It's like having your own indoor barbeque! And I love their grill choices especially the salmon and bacon & asparagus. Their desserts are nothing special which is fine since they take pride on the Japanese cuisine.
Verdict
They don't accept phone reservations so better come early to reserve a table. If you fancy Japanese food, it's worth a try.
Had lunch with my family & comadre last two Sundays ago. Feasted on my fave - pink salmon, so happy bec they're generous in refilling the salmon. Tried a lot of different dishes, too, while chatting & catching up with my comadre. Good food will never ruin a true, great friendship, even with our political differences. 😊

A perfect place for family gatherings like birthdays and reunions. We went here to celebrate both my brother and his wife's birthdays and we had tremendous fun, mostly due to the popping off of our pants buttons. FUN!
I've had some momentous celebrations here countless times and it's one of those buffet places that is ok in terms of selections. They have a wide variety of choices and a volume of it, but it's something that I would do on an occasional event. Be prepared to the grill as the scent sometimes sticks to your clothes.
Ate at Yakimix on my my birthday and it was a truly a happy birthday! I give 2 👍 up for their food, especially the desserts and some of the sushis.
Besides from the great buffet experience, one of the waiters who danced and sing "Happy Birthday" was really active and very funny!
It was my first time so there's the novelty factor. Wide selection of dishes. Freshness of food seemed okay. Service was passable although it was annoying at times since it bordered on the slow side most times. We paid full price when we ate lunch (New Year's Day 2016). Now I see that through Metrodeal, one can buy lunch here for 430 pesos. I spent almost 900 when we ate there. Would I go back? Sure.

Generally, I like Yakimix, but it's not my favorite buffet restaurant. I enjoyed grilling and eating their sliced salmon before, but now it seems that they also include a lot of the fish bones. HASSLE. :( A lot of their food has also become saltier than before. Good thing that they have a good selection of sweets & drinks to battle the saltiness.
I enjoyed cooking. :) though it will give you extra time. Haha. And its good that they are the most affordable biffet I've been so far. I enjoyed their Japanese cuisines, dessert and the cooking of course.
Personally, I feel like Yakimix has seen better days. Or maybe I'm no longer fond of restaurants that make you grill / cook your food. Thought I did appreciate that on this visit they acknowledged my boyf's family's helper's birthday even if her I.D was a mere sedula. I loved the candy corner with all its gummy bears, candy worms, coca cola bottles. I also really liked their tamago! How random.
Love the classy ambiance of the place—but then it's in Greenbelt, Makati so it needs to blend in. I was a bit disappointed with the limited (much much limited) food choice. I enjoyed the spicy bulgogi octupi and the seafood soup. We savored the sushi selection but disappointed that the kikoman soy sauce is not as strong as regular soy sauce. My girlfriend enjoyed the desserts selection and overall, it was a nice experience.
Affordable super buffet with TEMPURA. Enough said. I lost count on the times I have been to Yakimix either for lunch or dinner. They have so many choices from salad to desserts you surely get your money's worth :)
Been celebrating birthdays here as I like the service this Yakimix branch provides. Although they are usually the same as other branches, the staff here is more pleasing to interact with at any given time. The food here is really good as well and I love the choices available. Really good place to spend money on good food.
For meat and dessert and buffet lovers like me, this is the place for you! Aside from the raw meat that you will have to grill, you also have other cooked food that you can choose from like japanese food (maki, tempura) and filipino food, etc.
I love buffet, but i think Yakimix in greenbelt is like the usual buffet you can find anywhere this days. Their food is more tasty than Dad's Saisaki. I also love their japanese menu. There's a lot to choose from, from sashimi to sushi, yakitori and grilled items.

Yakimix Greenbelt was one of the first buffet restaurants that I have tried. Their selections of cooked food (fried rice, sweet and sour pork, etc.) combined with their raw, to-be-cooked-by-you food is amazing. I like their selections and most especially their dessert. I like their coffee jelly. I am a sucker for coffee jelly and like the consistency of theirs the best.
I went there last weekend to farewell one of my friend. It is nice buffet for the price they are charging.We had lunch buffet which got nice stretch of meat, chinese dimsims, desserts, drinks, icecream etc.. The stretch was not a lot but same time was enough for a buffet so that you dont get confused in choosing the dish. Try not to go to sushi section first as it will make you full. Over all nice buffet for party, ice ambience and location... Smokeless grill is their unique thing other than food.
Compare to all buffet's that are now eveywhere in the Metro, I love yakimix, its not that expensive and its not that cheap, just right for the budget, and above all maki and sushi they're everywhere in the table.
This place is located at level 3, greenbelt 3. I went here to treat my family! It was really funny because when we started eating my mommy and my brother started to get rice hotdog, like more of like normal dishes. Hahaha! good thing my sister and her husband is the one making sulit. they eat a lot. hahaha Everything here is good, I love their Japanese food, their desserts are simply amazing, they have very well accommodating staff plus the ambiance is really nice! I will come back here again with my boyfie next time.
We celebrated my sister in law's birthday here with the entire family. The place was overwhelming for the japanese food served here. I had my first all japanese buffet here. They serve a wide variety of japanese dishes which you could grill and cook on your table. When you enter their place, you woukd be amazed on how far they go all the way to the back. The grill is really not that smokeless though as they say on their signage. You just be ready with and expect that you would smell grilled food after dining here. It still a good experience.
I have loved Yakimix ever since I was in College. However, it’s a place that I would go to once a year, at the most. Not because the food isn’t any good or it’s not worth the price but because I’m really not a fan of buffets.
Best part is that you’re allowed to grill on your own table. I am usually the one who’s doing the cooking for all the raw food items of our table. This saves me a lot of calories. ;)
As for the food choices, mostly are viands; not much pasta and pastries. Try Yakimix if you want to have buffet but on a limited budget!
