We frequent this branch since it’s more delicious than other Via Mare branches. Love their Pork Adobo, Sinigang sa Hipon, Rellenong Talong, Crispy Binagoongang Lechon Kawali and esp their Puto Bumbong!!! Although the service is slow, the food is really good in my opinion - very classic Filipino dishes. 😊
Hey.. i really have a good time to eat here. I barely eat in fillipino restaurant, but this one is really suit my taste buds, I've to admitted i really enjoy eat here, also fresh oyster here is good..😁
Go to place for bibingka and puto bonbon available all year round. Must be ordered in advance because sometimes the wait is at least 25 mins for it to get served.
No visit to Manila is complete without a visit to Via Mare for afternoon tea. Bibingka + Puto Bongbong are Christmas food but available year around in Via Mare. Always a pleasant visit.
Had dinner here we ordered tuyo rice, binagoongan liempo, adobo pusit, molo soup and cornbeef for my kid. The food was good. But the price for cornbeef is so pricey for 290pesos. Overall is ok.
Best Palitaw and puto bumbong in Metro! 👍🏼👍🏼
Palitaw costs 55php
Puto bumbong-85php
I also tried their pork dinuguan with puto-steady taste nothing special. Worth the price👍🏼
Food was good, but the watermelon juice was very very bland, and the soup we ordered was also largely tasteless. But everything else was good, oysters, the pork etc. A good experience had it not been for the two things mentioned above. Pricing was also fairly alright.
This is one of my favorite place for dinner. They serve seafood and other simple snacks. The taste is good. I was there because I'm interested to taste the oyster. But, unfortunately the oyster was sold out. Then, i ordered baked mussels and Bisque de mediteranee soup. Taste was good. I like it.
The other day, I could order Oysters without any sauces. It was fresh and good serve.
Prices are reasonable and place is good for hang-out. Next time, i wish i can visit this place again.
This is our first time here. Very attractive menu choices with picture to help you decide. Oysters are fresh and cocktail sauce make perfect combination. We tried 2 other dishes fish and salad, both are quite good actually. Service is good and waiting time is reasonable. If you like oysters with cold beer then this is the ideal place.
A couple of Saturdays ago I had the good fortune of receiving an invite from my Aunt / Doctor talk about health and wellness through aromatherapy, since she is conducting it in a casual talk over merienda at Via Mare's Oyster Bar in Greenbelt, i said yes! She had the entire 2nd floor reserved. While conducting the talk, all attendees were served Via Mare's staples. The palabok, bibingka and Pandesal with butter and quesong puti. The palabok is packed with tinapa, pork and a couple of shrimps. It paired well with the pandesal. The butter absored by the pandesal added sweetness to the firm quesong puti. The bibingka was served warm, galapong batter cooked just right, the salted egg was enough to add that homey warmth to the dessert. No wonder the Titas of Manila gives their seal of approval! Recommended.
Satisfy your hunger! This place, an all-time fave, will never ever fail you. Ordered their signature cagcag rice that is so delectable & filling, tortang alimasag, bibingka & their maiz con hielo & sago't gulaman. Big serving. Affordably priced. Happy tummy.

Craving for fresh oysters, so where else to go?
Also, tried their Coco Avocado & our all-time fave, calcag rice.

Really great restaurant with no pretensions. Their oysters are really succulent and generously served with cheese... The wasabi ones are really good too. This particular branch's bibingka is really soft with lots of cheese and egg. They call it very special bibingka -it is indeed very special. Other favourites of mine include the fresh lumpia and pancit luglug.
I've been frequenting this place for years just so I can have their Pancit Luglog. It's my favorite here! Craving for it right now while I'm typing this!
My go to place for reasonably priced oysters and Filipino "kakanin"... would love it if they open a branch in Dubai... Dubai needs decent Filipino restaurants...
While I wait for my team to assemble for a movie screening event with kids, I found this classic location and stayed for merienda (snack).
Via Mare appeals to me most on their Filipino desserts and appetizers. Both are also way affordable.
On this visit, I had a nice serving of Fresh Lumpiang Ubod. It's simple yet delights with its sweet, garlicky taste. I enjoyed more their. generous serving of Ube based Ginataan. I love the combinations in one bowl especially the Bilo-Bilo which is both chewy and bland to blend perfectly with the rest.
Not meant to be exclusive - just a casual dinner with a friend in an easy part of Manilla to get to/from and have a feed and a few drinks. Price is good, staff friendly but all seemed a bit rushed for me. Excellent food though - worth a try.
YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY Food!!
I grew up eating at the flagship store of Via Mare. Eating in their Oyster Bar in Greenbelt.. instant trip to memory lane. Everything we ate tasted like my childhood.
The Crispy Pata, which they said was suppose to be for 2, IS HUGE! CRUNCHY SKIN, EXTRA TENDER MEAT, WELL SEASONED YUMMINESS!! The OYSTERS were FRESH FRESH FRESH, the cocktail sauce that came with it boosts the FRESH TASTE OF THE OYSTER because huhuhuhu napakasarap, bakit ganun?
What stood out for me the most was their Calamares Fritos, uhmmmm nakakaadik. I, basically, finished the whole plate in 5 minutes. NO SHAME IN THE GAME. It was really that GOOD.
Quick, efficient service.
The place needs more lighting, though. Please eat here. Please eat here!!
The Palitaw hands down is reason enough to eat at this restaurant. Midway into the order, you look at your plate almost praying "wag maubos" agad. It doesn't only taste good, it feels so good eating the chewy white kakanin richly swimming in niyog and asukal.
Greenbelt one will not be complete without Via Mare. This classic restaurant never fail to impress me with ordinary food made very extra ordinary.
Via Mare is an institution; the oldies like it for breakfast or meryenda, and it is unfailingly reliable. For comfort dishes like lugaw (Filipino-style rice porridge with sprinkled garlic), dinuguan at puto (pork blood stew, served with small steamed rice cakes), and lumpia ubod (egg rolls with tender banana heart, cut into julienne), this is the place to go.
My personal favorite on the altanghap/all day menu is the "crisp adobo flakes", served with garlic rice; stewed pork adobo is flaked, then refried (or deep fried, I suppose) till ultra crisp. Afternoon meryenda sweets you must go for, since they're hard to find elsewhere except Aristocrat, are the bibingka with salted egg and purple puto bumbong served with grated coconut.
There was a time when Via Mare tried to expand and go more high-end, and were unsuccessful; that's the reason they carry oysters in the menu, which are a vestige of that attempt. Fortunately, in the last year or so, they've re-added items to the menu to complement their tasty oysters.
We order their raw oysters, which are fresh and meaty; you won't need much more than a dab of Tabasco and a spritz of lemon. Their Oysters Rockefeller, with melted cheese, spinach, and bacon are the overall favorite, and for good reason. The sampler platter of baked oysters is great for sharing.
Last week we ordered their chicken inasal skewers and pancit luglog. They don't feel as good as before, but will pass.
Their palitaw and tsokolate remain among the best in town.
For Via Mare Oyster Bar and Cafe, I can say that Taste is okay, price is affordable but can improve on serving sizes. Whats popular on their menu are their "kakanin" and of course the oysters. The Greenbelt branch needs a major uplift in terms of ventilation, lighting and even in the furnitures.
If you come here for the oyster, you'll not get disappointed. If you come here for other dishes, suffice to say that there are better places. Fortunately, their pricing is fair, and their Filipino themed desserts are worth coming back!
The pinalutong na tilapia and crispy pata were my faves. I think some dishes and desserts could be improved, though. Super approachable and courteous staff. 👍

Keep coming back to their hearty luncheon treats that's also available for dinner - luv their bagnet ensalada, pinalutong na tilapia which is deep fried to a golden crisp served with soy-calamansi dip & sisig sauce; while my hubby can't resist to savor their rellenong talong & shooters for dessert (refreshing combination of halo-halo, mais con hielo & guinomis)! An added variety is your choice of ensaladang pako or suha at labanos☺ So for you guys who wants to binge out & beat a stressed day..dine here for meals cooked ala home style?? Kain na po tayo!?
