Ordered food delivery via an online app... down to earth restaurant serves healthy choices of meat and rice. Infact they also give you a choice if it is a free range or organic meat. We got the grassfed beef adobo flakes and grassfed beef tapa with organic red rice... it tastes ok but i feel that the serving size is small. Overall it tastes ok.

The place is great and I like how the call it a Farm Store. The tables are limited so I wouldn’t recommend it to big groups. Ambiance is so chill and made me feel healthy already.

Their burgers are good but I wish I could afford the bigger ones ones were too expensive for me. I appreciate the sides and even the unique water bottles.

The proliferation of organic/healthy food in Metro Manila is a godsend. As is the addition of delivery options that makes it possible to order from the comfort of your home!

I got an excellent Mediterranean Salad from here. Seasonal mesclun, toasted tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, black olives with gooey feta cheese in a zesty dressing of pepper, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Also got a jar of Minestrone Soup, tasty with biodynamic vegetables in native chicken broth.

Down to Earth is a farm store cafe hidden in Yakal Makati.

I tried @downtoearthph ’s The Original Burger! It’s Grass fed house blend patty + seasonal lettuce + heirloom tomatoes + wild rocket aragula + slow sauce potato brioche bun + side mixed veggie chips. Oh i forgot to mention it’s only 195 pesos 🤤🤤🤤 #nonitrate #noMSG

You won’t feel guilty after eating it! It’s not bad to try something healthy and organic once in awhile.

They also have desserts! They have ice cream! A healthy dessert for a guilt-free SWEET fix. I tried their french vanilla (with stevia) ice cream. It’s made of grassfed milk cream, free range egg yolks, vanilla bean paste, sea salt and stevia. It’s not too sweet.

For those days when you feel guilty indulging in unhealthy food and drinks, there's a place in San Antonio, Makati that you can go and have healthy, organic stuff for a change. Down to Earth, a farm to table restaurant and shop is a place where everything is organic or natural food. Most of their offerings hail from the owner's farm in Bukidnon.

Everything they serve here are made from scratch, from their humble kitchen. These include burger patties, salads, hot dogs, chips and ice cream just to name a few. They also claim that their crops are from heirloom seeds and not hybrid ones. They may grow slower but they are all made by the earth.

Inside this mini restaurant besides tables and chairs, you will see their own little garden; a display of products you can serve at home; and some gardening books and seeds just in case you want to grow plants of your own.

Down to Earth is all about commitment to supporting sustainable agriculture. They also practice environmental stewardship and humane treatment of animals.

It was such a delight for me to indulge in their one-of-a-kind Garden Salad (Php230). It displayed a medley of colors, having edible flowers in it, as well as crunchy greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumbers. This salad gave off a refreshing, odd feeling, one that you would have when you don't get to eat anything like this on a regular basis. And these sprouted right by their own care.

Then we had some gourmet goodness burgers produced from their pasture-raised, grass fed cattles. Even their pork, lamb, and chicken meats were from free-range pigs, chickens, and lambs. They do not give them commercial feeds or antibiotics, nor use hormones in them. The beef are ground in-house by their own butcher, and they are chilled instead of frozen so as to preserve their natural flavor.

I actually got to try two of Down to Earth's specialties, which are their Bleu Slowburger and Lamb Slowburger.

Blue Slowburger is made of their house-blend beef patty with caramelized onions, blue cheese, and chive butter, in potato brioche buns. All their burgers are served alongside some mixed veggie chips. The blue cheese was actually embedded right into the beef patty. It was juicy in spite of it being fat free, and it brought my tastebuds to a whole new definition of pleasure. The burger was packed with a mouthful of flavors.

Then there's the Lamb Slowburger made of lamb patty, amaranth leaves, feta cheese, curry mayonnaise, and red onions, also in potato brioche buns. This doesn't give off any funky aftertaste to it, and its taste didn't overpower the presence of other ingredients. The patty was tender and well seasoned on its own, having a bit of that grassy, and sweet and salty vibe to it.

Cleansing my palate was their signature Hibiscus Tea (Php 120). Who would have thought that you can drink a tea made from the dried petals of a gumamela flower? It had this rich crimson color to it, and tasted a bit like tangy cranberry.

There isn't any need for cheat days when you can always have something nutrient-rich, organic, and healthy from Down to Earth Farm Shop + Cafe. I guess its time for us to really support local farm products and small enterprises that advocate healthy lifestyle and green living.

Give me a heads up when you go for a visit and I'll be happy to hear about your Down to Earth experience.

Eat healthy and enjoy it!

Products: DowntoEarth is well known for their self-made and organic products which made them famous, causing Erwan Heusaff to feature their farm on his show. And believe me when I say, they deserve that recognition and more! Their burgers made from grass-fed cows are freshly butchered by themselves everyday! The results are burgers from out of this world!

Each burger has their own distinct flavor and this is one of those food that is actually worth their price. They even breed their plants, which is such an interesting topic as told by Mr. Nico himself. We got the chance to taste raw greens which are so full of flavor that it feels like they're bursting in your mouth! Burgers come in different varieties which will test your decision making powers to the maximum level.

The Original Slowburger comes with egg which made me immediately think of breakfast food but the best thing about this (and the other burgers) is that the taste of the patty overpowers all the other ingredients, which for me is the best thing because you order the burger for the patty! But also at the same time, the flavor that each ingredient brings sums up the total experience of the burger.

My favorite was the Whole Hog Slowburger, with the barbeque pulled pork and the smoked pigs cheeks, if you watch How I Met Your Mother there was that episode where they were looking for the best burger in New York because Marshall couldn't forget how good it was- this is my version of that. It's just too good that it explains why it was the most expensive out of all the burgers in this place.

Their burgers are paired with sweet potato and ube chips which go surprisingly well with the burger. If they sold these in packs, I would buy some!

The purple corn kombucha is another surprise for me because it strongly smelled like wine but when I had a taste, it was just like a freshly squeezed juice.

For dessert, we had their sugar-free ice cream, which they also make themselves. Absolutely superb! The texture is different from your normal ice cream, it shouts homemade (which they are) and those are the best types of ice cream for me. The price is also reasonable and cheaper than more expensive ice cream brands in your local groceries.

Venue: The place is both a mini-restaurant and a local shop for those who want to buy their organic ingredients, they are also suppliers for restaurants. They have their own mini garden inside, and some seeds for you to buy and grow, and books for your gardening needs. It is a small place but there's so much to see!

Down to Earth is originally a store that sells heirloom organics that when the products that they sell is traced its roots, it shows that it originated from the time where crops were resillient and farming, along with livestock, was self sufficient. Nowadays, due to technological advancements on every aspect of life, food has lept bounds into sourcing but mostly lost its authenticity. They are one of the few that keeps it organic for the masses.

Recently, they have opened a small table in the shop for dining. They currently have slow-cooked burgers available. The meat came from grass-fed cattle, freshly grinded, never been frozen, cooked 8 to 12 hours at a optimum heat. This gives out an awesome burger to dig in. Here are some of my recommendations:

The Original Slowburger (275 php)
6oz grass-fed house blend patty with seasonal lettuce, heirloom tomatoes, wild rocket arugula, slow sauce, grass-fed soft cheese, pastured raised pig bacon, free range brown egg, in a potato brioche bun.

Wild West Slowburger (360 php)
6oz grass-fed house blend patty with amaranth leaves, grass-fed cheddar cheese, home made pickled cucumber and radish, slow sauce, ground mustard, in a potato brioche bun.

Whole Hog Slowburger (485 php)
Black heritage pork patty, smoked pig cheeks, barbecue pulled pork, grass fed white cheddar cheese, kale slaw, in a potato brioche bun.

I'd like to pair this up with a glass of Purple Corn Kombucha, a fermented drink that is best served cold. They also sell here grass-fed dairy ice cream that would give other ice cream brands a definite challenge. Another thing that you should try out would be their beef jerky because it is sooooo good.

It was a one-of-a-kind experience that would go down to the record books. Eating healthy has never been this fun and flavorful.

I was delighted when I first arrived at this restaurant because even their decors were organic. the place is small but if you're not in a hurry, sit and have a taste of what they're proud of, grass-fed beef burgers and i bet you'll open their fridge and take home some of the patties, own ketchup recipe, they even have pesto, virgin oil, coffee, and live micro greens, something you can plant yourself. Don't be guilty indulging in their selection because it's something you won't regret. You can also find them in the weekend markets. Being a burger lover, i can say that there is a different taste from local grass-fed beef and imported beef.

Here are the foods served:

Focaccia with heirloom cherry tomatoes snd rosemary served with grass-fed feta cheese - a healthy starter indeed, the bread was perfectly paired with the feta cheese

grass-fed beef jerky - ooh, something i can't stop nibbling.

garden salad - twas like literally from the garden, edible flowers, greens, cherry tomatoes, little cucumbers

burgers: (all burgers come with mixed veggie chips on the side)
the original slowburger - P275 (single)
6oz grass-fed house blend patty, lettuce, heirloom tomatoes, wild rocket arugula, slow sauce, potato brioche bun,
add ons: pastured raised black pig bacon (P50) and free range brown egg (P25)
- every pieced blended well together

lamb slowburger - P445
6oz grass-fed lamb patty, amaranth leaves, grass-fed feta cheese, curry mayonnaise, red onions, potato brioche buns,
- my favorite, it doesn't have that silly after taste of lambs, it's a wow for me, no ingredient over power the other

bleu slowburger - P405
6oz grass-fed house blend patty, caramelized onions, danablu cheese, chive butter, potato brioche bun
- a little sweet but less the caramelized onion this would be my favorite. hehe

other burgers worth trying:
whole hog burger - P485
impossible burger - P285 (vegetarian)
wild west slowburger- P360

dessert:
grass-fed dairy ice cream (french vanilla, chocolate, coffee)
- coffee was my favorite, it's like the coffee beans were actually in the ice cream, that strong coffee taste and it's not sweet, yes!

drinks:
purple corn kombucha - tastes like wine, aged wine. 😋

Arrived at Down to Earth with Nico the owner, explaining how down to earth was established and what's it's mission and vision is. Down to earth prides itself with serving Organic, natural food from their Farm in Bukidnon to your table. They noted how their beef came from grass fed cows and black pigs without commercial feeds , hormones or antibiotics. They emphasized how their crops aren't hybrid and came from heirloom seeds.

Down to Earth is a farm to table restaurant and organic market offering ingredients, seeds, natural condiments, Nico emphasize how traditional and pinoy tasting their burgers were in the old times. It's a good way to support local and be health conscious at the same time. Their produce comes from their farm in bukidnon and is literally being flown here to Manila to sell.  Their meat is chilled not frozen preserving the flavor of the meat, and the meat is being professionally butchered, taking an hour, to guarantee freshness and choice cuts. They even sell during the weekends in Salcedo Market.

They served us Raw Leafy Kale Chips,Grass-Fed Beef Jerky(P200), Focacia with Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes and Rosemary, Garden salad(P230), their varying slowburgers which were Original Slowburger(P275), Wild West SlowBurger(P360), Impossible Slowburger(P285), Bleu SlowBurger(P405), Lamb SlowBurger(P445), Whole Hog Slowburger(P485). For drinks we had the Purple Corn Kombutcha(P235), Dalwangan Catimor Arabica Coffee (P90)

The Original Slow burger comes with egg, lettuce, tomato, arugula in a potato brioche bun. It was your typical construction of a burger having their grass fed beef patty slowly cooked. It was juicy(despite the lack of fat), flavorful,  Similar experience was the Wild West Slowburger, typically your cheeseburger but having grass fed cheddar cheese involved takes it to a whole new level, it was a flavor of both familiarity and uniqueness at the same time. Familiar in a sense, it's a cheeseburger but never a cheeseburger this good.

The Impossible Slowburger was their take on a somewhat falafel burger but having the texture, taste and consistency of a real beefy patty. The patty is mixed with arugula, chikpeas together with pickled cucumber,  heirloom tomatoes, onions and baba ghanoush tzatziki(added the meat flavor).

The Bleu Slowburger is one of my favorites, the bleu cheese embedded inside their patty for an even distribution of flavor. It reminds me of a chocolate chip cookie with white chocolates but it's their delicious slow cooked patty together with bleu cheese. A recommended order to impress your friends.

The Lamb slow burger was another favorite for me. The tenderness and unique flavor of the lamb was evident in the burger mixed with grass fed feta cheese, curry mayonnaise and red onions, its truly a delicious savory burger. The flavor was clean and delicious and non greasy. Another recommended order

The Whole Hog Slowburger their own rendition of a bbq pulled pork patty burger with smoked pig cheeks. The pork came from a black heritage hog, making it more delicious than regular hogs cos their meat are more leaner and flavorful.

The Kombutcha drink was another good experience. I always wanted to taste kombutcha. It's like a softdrink that smells like wine but the taste is calm and soothing on the throat with a hint of purple corn.

Their  Grass-fed dairy Ice cream was another favorite, it would give carmen's best a run for their money. Creamy, flavorful and organic flavors of french vanilla, coffee and chocolate. It was so good, you wont get tired of the flavors

Recommended orders: Beef Jerky, Ice cream, Bleu Slowburger, Lamb Slowburger, Impossible Burger, and the Whole Hog Slowburger

Food 5/5 - Organic, healthy and delicious
Price 4.5/5- When you think about the quality of food you're getting
Service 4.5/5- Service was great
Ambiance 4/5- it's a litte bit dark and small cos it's packed with the grocery.

Organic food is the in thing these days. I do not blame anybody for wanting to change their dining preferences to something healthier. But, I want my burger and eat it too. And I am glad that Down to Earth is one of those places that can boasts organic that tastes great as well.

Down to Earth primarily caters to supplying supermarkets and/or restaurants with their organic products. Nowadays, they also hold workshops for apartment and condominium owners to grow their own plants.

In terms of food, Down to Earth currently focuses on different types of burgers. They use grass-fed native cows, lending a richer, gamier flavor to the burger. They also have a butcher shop at the back of their restaurant, so the meat is freshly cut, processed, ground, and chilled each day. It is never frozen, since native beef is leaner and its lack of fat would ruin the taste when frozen.

Some of my recommendations when eating there are the Raw Leafy Kale Chips and the Foccaccia with Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes and Rosemary with a Grass-Fed Feta Cheese Dip for starters. Among their burgers, I enjoyed their Bleu Slowburger with its caramelized onions and Danablu cheese. Another favorite is the Lamb Slowburger topped with feta cheese and curry mayonnaise for that extra bite. Lastly, I recommend the Whole Hog Slowburger, which lives up to its name with a black heritage pork patty, smoked pork cheeks, barbecue pulled pork, white cheddar cheese, and kale slaw in a potato brioche bun.

I recommend washing everything down with a glass of Purple Corn Kombucha, which is a reddish purple fermented liquid that tastes almost like wine and is best served chilled with ice for those hot days. For those who want coffee, Down to Earth also has its own supply of Dalwangan Catimor-Arabica Coffee that is strong and rich in flavor. Guests are also given a cup of milk fresh from Down to Earth's own dairy farm, which soothes the intense flavors of the coffee.

A place that aims to bring the freshest, top-quality, natural, and candid ingredients down to your table, Down to Earth has successfully catered to a large market of our health-conscious generation. Aside from being known for selling organic micro greens, they also sell free-range meat that's overflowing with flavor. Luckily, it has stepped up and decided to serve ready-to-eat burgers which you can consume right in the store!

What I liked about this place is that they butcher their cows every day which guarantees that it's as fresh as you can get. And they have control over the parts of the cow (has a unique flavor for each part) to include in their burgers compared to other burger bars who buy their meat from a third-party seller. Their burgers are juicy (despite being 100% grass-fed--lesser fat than normal cows) and are well-seasoned. My personal favorites were the whole hog burger, and lamb slow-burger.

Oh, and please don't miss their homemade free-range dairy ice cream!!!!! It's one of the best Ice cream for me!!! The flavors were all on-point (unlike other that tasted fake or underflavored). It was also not too sweet and handmade (they don't use ice cream makers). A must-try for me!!! I loved all their flavors! ❤️

Place is a bit small, dark, and crowded for me because of their mini-grocery but worth the visit! 🤤

Down To Earth is a small shop along Yakal Street that offers 100% grass fed beef, free range pork and native chicken. They also have live micro greens and seeds available for those who want to make a backyard garden. It's more known to be a local produce store but they have ventured out to showcasing their products in the best way possible - through food!

In the shop, they've set up limited seating space for diners. Their specialty are their grass fed slowburgers.

RAW LEAFY KALE CHIPS
Good and crispy!

GRASS-FED BEEF JERKY
Well seasoned but I'm not a huge fan of jerky. It does leave a little bit of a lard-ish taste in your mouth.

FOCACCIA WITH HEIRLOOM CHERRY TOMATOES AND ROSEMARY
Focaccia was very soft! The heirloom cherry tomatoes were sweet. The bread is provided by a third party bakeshop - Down to Earth provides them the vegetables and herbs for this.

GARDEN SALAD
The garden salad is composed of seasonal greens and edible flowers. The dressing was superb! Everything was just so fresh.

SLOWBURGERS - Background
Down To Earth is a supplier of grass fed beef. They supply the whole cattle to whoever orders the beef. That was the original business. But due to the demand of having cut meat, they eventually ventured into that. For their slowburgers, they butcher the cattle on the day. They get the meat off the carcass in their small kitchen at the back of the store and chill it. No freezing. When an order comes in, then they grind the meat to make the burger. That's how fresh the burgers are! Since there's no freezing in the process, the meat you get is still fresh and juicy. All the flavors are still there!

THE ORIGINAL SLOWBURGER
My favorite among all that I tried. Classic burger topped with a sunny side up egg. Patty was well seasoned and juicy! Loved it! The potato brioche bun is light and airy.

WILD WEST SLOWBURGER
Their take on the classic cheeseburger. Patty was consistent. Great flavor!

IMPOSSIBLE SLOWBURGER
Their vegetarian burger made with chickpeas, wild arugula and parsley as the patty. It was a pretty crispy patty. I'm not exactly a vegetable patty fan so I can't say much about it.

BLEU SLOWBURGER
Well cooked patty! The caramelized onions went well with the patty. It has a sweeter flavor than the others.

LAMB SLOWBURGER
The lamb burger was so good!!! I enjoyed this. The flavor was there. You can really taste that it's lamb but it's not overwhelming. Well seasoned too!

WHOLE HOG SLOWBURGER
The barbeque pulled pork was awesome! It went well with the whole burger.

GRASS-FED DAIRY ICE CREAM
Available in 3 flavors: french vanilla, chocolate and coffee. Loved all 3 flavors but the best would have to be the coffee.

PURPLE CORN KOMBUCHA
Kombucha is basically fermented tea. This kombucha is homemade with black tea fermented for a month using SCOBY. They also infused it with purple corn - which gives it that purple color. It's not really alcoholic but since it is fermented, there might be small alcohol content in it. It tastes a bit like an alcoholic cocktail but it is pretty good. But it is an acquired taste.

DALAWANGAN CATIMOR-ARABICA COFFEE
Single origin Arabica freshly ground coffee. They serve it through the drip method and make the cup one by one. I loved it! Try mixing it with the ice cream.
