With the recent Covid-19 updates, it's really encouraged just to stay at home, if you don't have anything urgent to do outside. With this, food deliveries comes in handy.
Kudos to @caramia.ph for their very efficient delivery system. I dialed their delivery hotline 8555-1000 and ordering was a breeze. Agent was so accommodating and pleasant. My orders came on the dot. Food was still warm, which was a huge PLUS. I was so happy with my food and service.

Always a foolproof choice!🌟 Amici will always be our go-to place when we’re craving for that familiar and authentic Italian taste. Our usual combo would have the Linguine Al Prosciutto E Tartufo pasta and Tutta Carne pizza. For dessert, you could never go wrong with Cara Mia’s Choco Mint Gelato. However, if you’re into cakes they have A LOT of offerings too from Gelato cakes to Refrigerated ones.
PS
If there’s a branch ranking amongst all of Amici.. the original branch in Don Bosco Makati would definitely top my list 🌟
Food 5/5
Really loved the creaminess of their carbonara and had one of the best pizza margherita i tasted so far.
Place/Ambiance 5/5
Very clean and spacious.
Price 4/5
Not so expensive but not that cheap too. Mid range prices for a great food experience with a large amount of servings
Customer service 5/5
Great customer service.
Overall rating: 4.75/5
Amazing food! I actually didn’t like some of their branches because sometimes the food tasted like it was microwaved. The food here though is AMAZING!!! The taste is just so rich and freshly cooked! I feel like I’m eating food cooked in Italy!
My mom and I have been frequenting Amici since the late '90s when Fr. Luigi Colombo was in charge of the kitchen of Amici di Don Bosco. They offered reasonably priced Italian meals, cafeteria-style in Don Bosco grounds.
My mother-in-law's favorite bakeshop was Red Ribbon in Timog, their main branch then. This was before it grew bigger and became attractive for food giant Jollibee to make a purchase offer the Mercado-Moran family cannot refuse.
Awash with cash from the sale of Red Ribbon, Danny Moran got the itch to get back in the game and was introduced to the Salesian priests who might have wanted to divest of their interest in Amici. So, Amici under new ownership expanded their presence and came up with their gelato and cake specialty shop, Cara Mia. This was put under the able hands of Tess Mercado-Moran who used to be the founder and head baker of Red Ribbon.
I got to go back to this restaurant when I heard mass at the Don Bosco chapel. I ordered their Caesar's Salad (P240), Chicken Parmigiana (P360) and a slice of Brazo de Mercedes (P110) for dessert.
I was given 2 freshly heated bread sticks which went quite well with the delicious, crisp and fresh salad. The Parmigiana had good Italian seasoning, a salute to the legacy of Italian priest, Fr. Luigi. The brazo on the other hand was vintage, original Red Ribbon. All is well in Amici.
While exploring vegetarian options in the new City...came across an Italian bistro @amiciphilippines having good vegetarian options as well 🍕😉😉....
On my plate:
1. Parmesan coated pizza crust wedges with artichoke dip in veg. It was really tasty. And never ever I had tasted artichokes...so to my surprise it tasted well too 😋.... and
2. "ROME" as written in their menu, which is basically a combination of margherita pizza, pasta and rosemary 🐔...for my non vegetarian counterpart .
Overall a good experience.
This Garlicky 👉 Shrimp n’ Pesto flatbread Pizza by @amiciph is super legit | My tastymonial i love it a must try 😘❤😋

On today’s bonding with my mom and sister, we chose Italian. And Amici delivered once again, giving us a dose of modern Italy. All our dishes were of quality, obvious on its superb tastes and textures.
I personally had the house favorite and now my top pick here too, Pollo Arrostito. It’s a super tender rosemary roast chicken served with side vegetables and garlic rice. Its side tomato-based sauce is really delicious!
I shared with my family a bowl of Spaghetti White Vongole e Gamberetti. This brought me to the sea, everything from the ingredients, seasoning and grainy feel were there. I like that there were ample shrimps, clams and scallops!
On pizza, we adored the simplicity yet flavorful combination of prosciutto and mushrooms. Go ahead and order Proscuitto e Funghi as well. Don’t forget to put some dried chili oil for some welcome heat.
Happy, my sister had her bowl of Squash Bisque, she swears its so good, she always has to have it. Must be! I didn’t get to try, it was gone too fast!
Oh and we had Ube Cake! We had it first before anything else. It was heavenly, must be the best Ube dessert out there. Agree?
Quality of food has remained the same throughout the years. My family and I have been regulars from the start. Eternal favorites are the White Vongole pasta and the Four Cheese pizza. We've tried so many of their other dishes but these are what we always come back to. Waitstaff are always quick and courteous. Cakes, gelato, and coffee offerings are still good, although, TBH, there are better gelato restos out there. Still, they're good, I wouldn't take that away from them.
It's been a while since my family and I have been here, but my memories of dining here were always happy.
Went here at lunchtime, nice ambiance, not crowded. Ordered the Seafood Diablo. Didn't like that it has no shrimps and squids (because thar is usually what's on seafood pastas lol), but the taste is good. Creamy and spicy! I am just not amenable to the price of P405. But even though I had this kind of experience, I will definitely come back to try other pastas and hopefully pizza. 🤗
Recommended foods are spinach cannelloni and margherita pizza or al quattro formaggi. They also have refreshing lemon water. Place is very casual. No parking lots.
Established some 16 years ago, Amici (formerly, Amici di Don Bosco) was one of the first authentic Italian restaurants to open in Makati. Since, it has consistently churned out a solid mix of classic and contemporary eats every bit as delicious as they are simple. When the Moran family bought Amici in early 2007, new life was breathed into this well-loved, Italian restaurant. It underwent a massive redesign complete with a lighter, airy aesthetic, and a revamped menu created by Executive Chef Paolo Moran.
The original Amici branch. My family has been going here since it opened, they have kept improving the quality of their pizza and has even added more flavors as tastes change. Today we were here for merienda, and we originally were just going to get a couple of gelatos. The moment we sniffed the scent of pizza coming from their brick oven, we couldn't help but order. I recommend having the 4 cheese pizza with honey on the side, adding a bit of the honey elevates the taste of the cheese on the fluffy airy dough of their pizza. Then have a scoop of gelato for dessert, I love the strawberry and chocolate flavor.
At first you would think they only serve refreshments because it is right outside a big school but once inside you will find that they provide large servings of Italian cuisine specially on pizza & pasta with lots of choices!😁 Not only that, they provide full meals & meats that are best paired with soups & salads. But before you leave, make sure to top it off with their gelato or sundaes... yum!😋
Amici might have been left out by other great Italian restaurants, but personally, it is still unique, making its own name in this generation. My friend is a big fan their pizzas and we enjoyed it too. It was a bit pricey, though.
It used to be one of the best restaurants in the metro, until lots of better and more authentic ones turned up. Now it just seems to be a place for office lunch crowds, and even at peak hours it isn't full. Wouldn't note on anything worth ordering here, maybe the carbonara which wasn't so bad.
Consistently very good food. Their pizzas, pastas and almost every other dish I've had always tastes like authentic Italian food. You can usually determine the quality of a restaurant's food by how the basic dishes taste. As far as basics go, Amici's Spaghetti Bolognese has always been one of my all-time favorites.
The foods are great but the ambiance of this branch is not that good. But I could say that their service is really nice :)
One Sunday night, my girlfriend and I had dinner here but we forgot to bring our discount card. To our surprise, the waiter who previously sold to us the card (like two months ago) recognized us and still gave us discount :)
Food at Amici is always reliable and of good quality, in my experience. This time we ordered out our Sunday dinner from Foodpanda. It arrived before time and Foodpanda continuously gave us txt updates.
Pollo Arrostito - this is my all time favorite dish from Amici. Baked rosemary chicken served with a side of veggies. Always perfectly baked - moist and tasty.
Ravioli de Spinachi - good ravioli stuffed with spinach topped with a good creamy sauce.
Spaghetti Aglio Olio - great tasting simple dish! I had it with Hail Ceaser Salad from Salad Stop the next day.
Classic Italian cuisines still get me! Pizza and pasta are two formidable combination perfect for a foodie. Amici elevates your typical Italian dining experience with authenticity and good service.
Food and ambiance is still paramount to whoever is dining in, and Amici Don Bosco needs an upgrade. Restaurant needs to liven up and food served should be fresh. During our dining experience, we were served cold food, and place was a bit slackish. All these were saved by an accommodating and warm staff! Hoping to see more improvements here! 👍🏼
The charm about dining in this place is understanding the history of how amici came to be. Its not anymore the hole in the wall restaurant (in this case a cafeteria) that we all loved through the years but the quality of the dishes is still consistent up to a certain degree. This branch still has the best versions of the Italian dishes we grew fond of perhaps because its the very first one. The mushroom and prosciutto pasta on truffle oil is still my staple dish here. Light and at the same time indulgent this is the dish that started my infatuation with truffle oil. The Egg pizza is an exciting take on your traditional pizza though it needs a little work in making sure the pizza is not soggy in the middle. The Gelato is divine the best of its class. I was hoping theyd rennovate place but on second thought perhaps the ambiance is the same thing that completes the amici dining experience.

Been to this resto probably just for the 2nd time. Tried out their seafood risotto and it was hmm just okay. Their fried zucchini and their cake was great though! Dining here feels a bit nostalgic as this place has been operating for a long time now. Their pizzas are a must try!
I regularly go to amici when I'm nearby. To bad chocolate ice cream cake was sold out. I had san srival instead.
Loved the risotto.
Spinach ravioli was not delectable as i expected it to be.
Ice cream cake was ok but not a top seller so meh.
I LOVE THE FOOD SPECIALY THE PESTO BECAUSE THAT'S MY FAVORITE. WE ATE THEIR WITH MY OFFICEMATES AFTER WE WATCHED A SECOND CHANCE. THEY GAVE US A FREE GARLIC BREAD TOO HEHE.
A friend who's been living for years in Makati told me that this is the first Amici that started as a small canteen / cafeteria ran by priests and nuns of Don Bosco. So I checked it out and the story was true indeed. I noticed that they kept the canteen look. It looks less classy than the two Amici's I've gone to (Mckinley and Tomas Morato) but the place is spacious. Service was applaudable.
The taste of the food is the same with other branches. Their pasta dishes are the best. The rosemary chicken is average. Pizza is thin but flavorful and baked to perfection.
Don't miss Caramía, Amici's dessert shop!
I am not here for pasta or cakes. I am here for ensemada their ensemada is the best second to none. Ensemada was introduced to me by my friend since then I make it sure that if I want one this the only place . the right place where I can buy perfect ensemada. Cheese is showering top of the bread and even taste better.
Was at an event at Don Bosco
We decided to eat at amici and have lunch.
We ate rice meals
For Dessert we ordered a puffed pastry berry dessert.
Service was good, spacious, easy to find. Right next to Don Bosco school in makati.
I have ordered food from here on a few occasions, and like the food - It's packed well, the portion sizes are good, and the food is flavourful. Sometimes, I find it to be a little bit bland, but then, you can always ask for condiments with the food.
If you are craving for real authentic Italian pasta, then you can never go wrong with this place. This particular branch is a bit obscure since it is located within the Don Bosco compound and the interiors of this particular branch is a bit dated and looks a bit like a refurbished school cafeteria. But the food, it's really good. The menu is a bit extensive, serving even wine and cocktails and gelato and cakes. They boast that they make their own pasta, and that to me is already a plus.
Their menu has changed thru the years but the taste is really rich so anything you order is really good. Inside the restaurant, there is a faint smell of olive oil and garlic in the air, giving the place the feel of an Italian kitchen. This particular branch is not too crowded even on Sundays since it's not inside a mall.
Ok, so I ordered the Linguine ala Amatriciana, this is a tomato based sauce with bacon and prosciutto with chili flakes. I thought at first this will be a bit spicy because of the chili flakes, but it's not. The pasta is perfectly al dente, served warm with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese on top. The sauce is a bit salty due to the bacon and prosciutto, but very good and the serving size is just enough for a hearty meal. The bacon is actually cut into chunks so you can actually see the bacon in the sauce. What I like about Amici is that they don't skimp on the ingredients. The bread that came with the pasta is good for sopping up that leftover sauce off the plate. Yum!
For my drinks, I had the iced cafe mocha, a bit disappointing, with the coffee itself a bit bland and the chocolate sauce all at the bottom of the very tall glass, very hard to stir to mix the two components. Should have ordered wine instead of this.
They also serve gelato (Italian ice cream) and their gelato cakes (Cara Mia) and other pastries.
Incidentally, I noted the security guard helping in giving out menus and clearing up of tables. This is despite the fact that there is ample enough wait staff there standing around, trying to look good in their uniforms. Maybe that's why the bill don't have a service charge. Oh well....
The place intrigued me. It's like it has some mystery on it. It has that effect on me for no reason and that made me eat there and I never regret it. Their Italian Meatball pizza is wonderful as well as their simple Aglio Olio. It is also affordable.

I miss the old Amici where it was just their only branch and the food was not so commercialized and it wasn't as pricey. They updated their menu and added new selections. I love the gelato / ice cream selections next time I will try the ice cream cake.
There icecream cake is very delicious and you will come back for more... the staff in there is friendly and accomodating, i do recomend this resto.
My friends decided to try Amici Don Bosco on a Monday night. The place was not full so we got the full attention of the service crew. We ordered Pasta Aglio Olio, Pizza Margherita and Iced Tea. The pasta was really good as in its al dente, delicious and the aroma itself makes you crave for more. For the pizza, its also delicious but there's nothing special to it. Price is reasonable. I just don't like the interior of the restaurant, for me it looks gloomy but i would definitely come back for the pasta.
Originally known as Amici di Don Bosco, this is a casual dining place serving delicious salads, pizza and pasta, as well as meats at prices affordable to Makati's junior employees. Must try are Blue cheese and walnut salad, mushroom truffle soup, al quattro formaggi pizza and my personal favorite the Vongole.
I used to eat at Amici's canteen in Don Bosco before it became a full-fledged commercial operation, going for their Italian-style roast chicken and rosemary potatoes, their sausages, the thin crust pizza, and the ice cream. Since then some of the authencity is gone, but I still enjoy visiting. Whatever they've removed, carried over, and added since has made up for that.
Amici's thin crust pizza base is made well, so what variation or flavorings you choose with it are relative; overall it'll be good. Prosciutto e Funghi (ham and mushrooms) is savory and satisfying; for something that crosses over into French flavors, try Bacon and Cream Cheese - it's an adaptation of French flammenkueche, down to the caramelized onions.
The Risotto di Mare tastes of the sea, with clams and shrimp and a dash of cream; interestingly, the version I tasted presents the risotto in a slightly toasted way - cooked all the way, to be sure, but then toasted after. I did find the portion a little small for the price.
The pastas are all around enjoyable - from the salmon penne and creamy salmon linguine, to the vongole and mixed seafood in olive oil. A special treat is their linguine with prosciutto and truffle oil.
Amici's ice cream and cakes are the best treat of the house. If you are ready to blow about P180-200 for their ice cream drinks/sundaes, try the pistachio flavored one on their long menu.
I recommend that you try their Risotto Di Mare. It's delicious and it meets anyone's desire to have a hearty meal. Eat, eat, eat!
If you haven't eaten in Amici yet, then I suggest that you hear mass in Don Bosco Makati and right after mass, walk towards Amici which is located under the pasay road/ arnaiz st. It is authentic Italian cuisine brought to us by one of the entreprenurial Italian Salesian Priest, Fr. Gianlugi Colombo, SDB. Now, having said that it is authentic, it means that its not the Italian food that we grew up in Manila -- Spaghetti that is sweet with red meat sauce. Here are my assessment of the Amici food so that you can calibrate your expectations when eating here:
1. Canteen ambiance. The entire resto has a canteen feel to it, and it is self service. This would mean you have to order pizza, pasta, and gelato from their respective counters and they will give you a number. There's a long line sometimes and the food delivery is slow so I would suggest to avoid the main dining hours.
2. Italian food for a price. The food is expensive and I think just rightfully so since it's kinda authentic and I'm hoping that some of the profits goes to a good cause by the salesian priest.
3. I love the home-cooked Italian taste! Now this is debatable because Filipino does not like the Italian taste which is bland, and sometimes sour in taste. You can certainly distinguish the taste from the commercial italian restos and the jollibee spaghetti taste. The pizza by the way is wood fire pizza so it tastes great except that sometimes there are some burned portions. Try Pizza #10 Four Seasons, #23 Al 4 Formaggi, and #24 Tutta Carne. On the pasta, try out #15 Spaghetti Vongole e Gamberetti (seafood pasta) and the Lobster Linguine. The gelato is addicting --- try out the vanilla with nuts.
