Went on a weekday. The place is very relaxed and the food was really good. We ordered a lot of things, and not one disappointed. Good selection of beer on tap, and the cocktails were also well done. Good whisky sour too.
The whole experience here was top notch!
Great beer choices.. tasty bar chows... staff are friendly... cool music.... parking is difficult.
Beer is the way to go here when using Zomato Gold. Their cocktails and wine by the glass are not are not worth the price. Mostly ice for the cocktail and less than 1/4 for the wine.
Finally, craft beer on Zomato! Good food, great beer, fine service, nice ambience and a bonus cool band (we went on a Wednesday). Also, they offer beer from guest brewers (we chanced upon one of my favorites, Andromeda NEIPA by Marc's and Tony).
Nice ambiance and good beer with lots of options. Mango Hard Cider is light and tasty! The Procrastination Ale is very smooth with a slow burn.
Nice quiet and cozy place, a hidden gem in Poblacion. Good drinks and food. We tried the old fashioned cocktail and a a couple of their IPAs. We also had the cheese balls and chili fries.
Pedro Tap House is a pretty good bar with nice ambiance, good service and good draft beers. We tried a number of draft beers priced at about Php 185 for a 10oz glass. Good choices are Endless Summer Wheat Ale (for those who like less bitter beers), Elementary English Pale Ale and Another Hazy IPA.
Raina aka Konyo Queen extended her invitation to me to attend the launch of Little Creatures beer at Pedro Tap House in Poblacion. Little Creatures is from Australia and known to produce the highest quality hand crafted beers using the freshest and finest ingredients available. We were able to try out three of their brews: Dog Day’s, Pale Ale and Bright Ale.
We loved the ambiance and the drinks here. The cider and their Iced tea are some of the must tries drinks. If you want a quiet time here, you can go during weekdays.
Been here two times already and I must say, this pub has great food!
For the bites, we tried their Fried Cheese Balls, Bar Junk, Korean Mini Corndogs, and Garlic Herb Fries. Their cheese balls was so gooooood, very addicting (since I love cheese)! The bar junk really surprised me, since I didn't expect their popcorn to be spicy and has candied bacon plus almonds! The mini corndogs are also good, and the fries makes you want to think twice if you're watching your calories!
For the mains, we had the Buffalo Wings, Candied Bacon, Vegan Burger, Beer Sausages, Pedro Hangover Bowl and Southern Fried Chicken. I loveeeeee their Candied Bacon so much! Very mouthwatering. Meanwhile, the beer sausages are kind of a mixed for me (since those 3 types of sausages). Their Pedro Hangover Bowl needs some improvement, although the chicken, egg and spam is thoroughly cooked. The buffalo wings has the right amount of spice, and best paired with their bleu cheese dip.
Hoping to drop by here soon!
Pedro Tap House is the best beer place in the Poblacion area.
The restaurant is cozy and has a nice lounge area at the second floor.
If you want to try out several types of beer, get the Beer Flight!
Their menu could be nicely paired with the different beers they have on tap!
Try their...
Bar Junk - awesome mix of popcorn, almonds, cashew, chili, orange zest with candied bacon!
Korean Mini Corndogs - so cute but really addicting!
Fried Cheese Balls - gooey four cheese balls served with truffle honey and parmesan.
Pedro's Hangover Bowl - Indonesian fried rice, Onsen egg, Spam and fried chicken. So good!
I can't wait 'til I get another invite to visit Poblacion. There's just something remarkable and exciting about this community in Makati that makes me want to go back. Just the other day, got an invite from Chester to attend an event they organized together with Little Creatures Australia. Entering Pedro Tap House made me feel at ease and reminded me of what an ideal pub should be like. You just find your spot, chill and be ready because place gets busy and crowded!
Served with:
Bar Junk P300 Ideal for sharing and has the right combination of salty and sweet. This is a must try for those who likes munching on some nuts and popcorn.
Korean Mini Con Dogs P180 2-inch sausages deep-fried in batter and served with spicy mayo dip. Not exactly my favorite, but goes well with beer.
Buffalo Wings P180 (MUST TRY) Crowd-favorite, crispy chicken wings smothered with buffalo sauce, served with carrots, celery and dip.
Candied Bacon P370 (MUST TRY) A slab of pork with just the right amount of fat and honey marinade. I find this really tasty and sinfully good.
And finally, night will not be complete without tasting Little Creatures' beers. We got to try Dog Days, Pale Ale and Bright Ale. While each drink has its' distinct flavor, I got to say my personal favorite is Dog Days because it has a peachy, fruity flavor with a hint of barley and wheat. Safe for first timers too since it only has 4.4% alcohol content.
It has been a pleasant evening for all of us and looking forward with my next visit.
During my month-long business trip to Perth, my colleague and I went to Fremantle and watched the sunset at the Little Creatures Brewery. That was when I discovered my favorite beer: White Rabbit Pale Ale. I was giddy to learn that Little Creatures has come to Manila! Right now they’ve got the following variants available: Little Creatures Bright Ale, Little Creatures Pale Ale and Dog Days. [Read More]
Pedro Craft Brewery has steadily carved a place for itself in the Manila bar scene over the past couple of years. It used to only be available in obscure hipster places until it worked its way into the mainstream. Now, these locally crafted beers have found a home at the PEDRO TAP HOUSE in the reinvented Poblacion district of Makati.
The community of Poblacion continues to grow with the addition of Pedro's Tap House, a chill bar with a comfortable and spacious set-up. I was here last night with media friends as they held the pre-launch of Australia's Little Creatures Craft Beer.
As Pedro Tap House pound us with 90s hip music, we indulged in their mostly American bar chow menu. The spiced up Buffalo Wings with staple blue cheese dressing was the runaway favorite, followed by their platter of sausages paired with delicious and light, sauerkraut. Both of these were ideal with our beer of choice.
I also recommend having their Bar Junk appetizer while you wait for your mains to arrive. This interesting ensemble includes popcorn, candied bacon, almonds, cashews, chili and orange zest.
We were also served Korean Mini Corn Dogs, a west meets east starter. It's your American corn dog with Korean Sausage and gochujang mayo dip. Have that with a bowl of crisp Garlic Herb Fries to fill you up good.
So when was the last time you were in Poblacion? Every week, it seems that a new establishment is being opened in this side of town.
Service is excellent! Servers are attentive.
I love their beers! My go-to is their Pilsner but they have other good ones too.
Finally got try some of their food too last week and it hit the spot!
