I actually like Barcino that I have recommended this to my friends, and guess what? THEY TOO HAVE ENJOYED IT. This is not my first time though, but we are sure to come back.
The Paella Negra, is ordered once again, and it never failed! Haha! I super enjoy its taste! We also had the mixed paella, and it was good! Again, no wine! I can't wait to try their drinks next time! :)

It was crowded when we got here so we were pretty close to the entrance. It was not really that chaotic despite being near the hallways but I really enjoyed the moscato we had. I very much loved it. It is now my favorite wine. Their Paella Negra despite us not being able to finish was still super great. It just lacks more Squid in it but way too yummy! The coca De sardinas is really good and the cheapest among the tapas Fritas. We chose it and was really satisfied. We put the smashed tomatoes in on top of the breading of the coca De sardinas which added more savor. I would totally come back here again!
Love the ambiance of this place for a chill wine night. They have a good selection of wine but that does not mean that they are available at all times. Unfortunately, the wine I initially wanted was out of stock. Good thing was they their staff was kind enough to give other wine suggestions and helped me pick out what suites my preference.
What we had:
Patatas Bravas, Pork Belly, Vegetable Paella, Forest Sangria, Sangria Blanco
What I liked:
The service was really good, relatively fast. Our server takes notes, accommodates requests, suggests when necessary.
The food is consistently good as with other branches. First time to try their Sangrias though and I super loved the Forest Sangria! Wil surely be back to try the others.
Didn’t know they had a room inside for small groups until my last visit. It’s nice to have that option for when you want more privacy. Aside from their sangria, we enjoyed the Paella Negra, Croquetas Pollo y Jamon and Callos.
The gambas and paella mixta were fantastic. We had other orders since we used 3 zomato golds. When we got the bill, they only discounted the 3 cheapest items and not the 2nd, 4th and 6th as the rules say. I complained and they fixed it. So just check your bill :)
Love that the place offers good food and drinks. Prices are affordable and they have ample seats to accomodate groups. The ambiance is great for small gatherings with friends.
This is Zomato Gold realness!! Barcino paella buy 1 take 1 is God's gift to thrifty men. Sobrang sulit, ROI agad Zomato Gold annual fee mo. Partner that with their extensive wine list or yummy sangria.👌🏼
Good a famous old time place for some sangria and jamon! We were so happy to have paid for 50 grams using zomato gold, and received 100 grams! Woohoo ♥️ we will be back! Tip: ordering by the glass seems more Sulit than by the carafe for sangria!
This is one of my favorite places to meet up for dinner with friends. The food is yum and the prices are reasonable. Standard go-tos are the patatas bravas and the chicken and chrorizo paella. I also recently discovered that the Tropical Sangria is the perfect social drink!
Serving time is longer than average and the service becomes inconsistent when there are a lot of diners, but that doesn't significantly affect the experience.
I expect to come back more frequently now that they are on Z Gold.

I booked through an app with 50% discount. We ordered Pimientos Del Piquiilio Rellenos Del Carne && Paelle De Gallina Y Cerdo. Delicious food 💯 Service is 💯 all of them is accomodating 💯 for the restaurant setting. Will definitely comeback
Great service. Love the croquetas de espinicas. I was not that happy with the paella chorizo y pollo and still prefer to get the paella negra but it was something new to try ☺️
Servings were too small for the price. The food was good, though! Wine selections were okay, I guess. Food came out late and service was a little slow but it was full house that night so I get it.
Their Sangria is the best. One to two orders is sure to make you happy already ❤ I have yet to taste their food, but I'll be sure to try on my next visit. Always bring friends to have a good time! 😊
Amazing food and very attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit if you are craving for some Spanish tapas, paellas, and wine. I recommend visiting as a group since most of the dishes served are made for sharing. :)
Your inner tita might just be squealing for these splendid variety. Enjoy your glass and/or, better yet, pitcher of Sangria wine at Barcino - Greenbelt 2🍷
Zomato Gold has been the talk of town ever since it was launched last year. And when it was finally available, it limited its subscription to a small number making it feel exclusive and in high demand. As the weeks pass by, Zomato opens up its subscription on certain days with a perk of hanging out with select local celebrities. And with its enticing give back program to users, each Zomato Gold user serves as the app's ambassador. But even without it, the app's 1+1 deal on food and 2+2 on drinks is enough to encourage anyone to spread the word. And if you're still thinking if it is worth your PHP700, one visit at Barcino will have you subscribing in a second.
Our OFW friend was in town so we went for a chill wine night. We got sauvignon blanc. Turns out Barcino is a Gold Partner so we also got 1+1 paella and lengua 👅

The food was of top quality. You can tell that it was not pre-cooked but was made only upon ordering :). Staff were accommodating and was able to provide good service
Perfect Paella Negra!!! The server immediately got my gold code when I mentioned that I am a zomato gold member. They promptly served the food but they forgot to serve us water. Not a big deal though. The place is packed on a Friday and surroundings can be very noisy, table has small partition.
Been here twice a few years back. Though I wasn't able to order any ala carte on the menu, I made sure to feast on their Lunch Buffets (Not sure if meron pa nito).
Those good-for-two paellas, I was able to finish them by my lonesome together with some tapas.
Hopefully I can convince my Wife and Daughter to try Spanish Cuisine in the weeks to come.
TGIF wine night here at @barcinowine Greenbelt ❤️🍷

We had our first Zomato gold experience last night. Sobrang napagod kami sa layo ng nilakad and we were doubting if going all that way was worth it. Medyo hassle pa kasi di kami familiar sa Greenbelt. When we arrived at Barcino, we got seated immediately. We showed the server the app and went on with ordering. The paella was perfect! We always opt for mexican cuisine because of the paella, but even this version got Limuel approved. The bolognese was bland? Maybe that’s how the spanish do it, but I didn’t like it that much. Though it tasted good, I prefer my bolognese a little more sour. As for the ambiance, I love the look of the place. Natuwa ako pakiramdam ko natransport ako sa ibang lugar. Sarap magtingin ng decorations while waiting for the food to arrive. Nagustuhan ko din yung complimentary bread, I was expecting it to be hard pero soft bread siya haha! Also, the server was so nice, hindi pa siya masyadong familiar with how zomato gold works but okay pa rin naman smiling and attentive siya. Great experience! 👍🏻
Actually, this was my first time to go to a Spanish restaurant. We started with the appetizers and they were all good (Potato bombs, Montaditos Salmon, Patatas Bravas)! They're so good, we had to be careful because we are getting full even without our main dish. They offer different kinds of paellas. All of them are nice too.
Ambiance is great, service is great also. Really good for hanging out with family and friends.
Food/Drink: 9/10 (Paella Negra is my fave. SANGRIA TINTO is the best)
Price: 9/10 (Worth it!)
Place: 9/10 (Cozy! Good for drinking)
Service: 9/10 (Its good)
Going Spanish.
We have been meaning to try this casual-Spanish dining restaurant for a long time now. When we tried it, we were truly satisfied.
We ordered the best-selling paella negra topped with squid rings, croquetas pollo y jamon - potato croquettes with ham, coca de sardinas - baked dough with Spanish sardines (or really just Spanish sardines pizza). All of these were flavorful and taste: good. We were also surprised that they are not expensive as we thought.
The food serving’s definitely good for sharing too.
The service was also excellent as servers always attend to our requests on time.
Since it is located along the strip of Greenbelt 2’s dining places, excpect that it can be crowded during peak hours or happy hour but the ambience is good and truly perfect for get-togethers or celebration. We’d definitely return.

Great food and great wine. What more could you ask for? Ambience is very welcoming and I feel as though i’m transported into another place. I recommend their Paella Negra with Sangria. You won’t be disappointed.
There are days that I would crave for some alcohol and to quench my thirst my friend and I headed off to Barcino and ordered a pitcher of Sangria.
We opted for al fresco seats since the temperature was comfortable. It wasn't too hot, and it was drizzling. It was just enough to cool the place down. There was also live music playing in the other neighboring restaurants which we truly appreciated. The other diners though were focused on the flat screen TV installed outside, it was showing the world cup, and I guess until one of the teams would hit a goal, everyone was just intently watching and enjoying the evening.
We sat on wooden seats outside. No cushioning, but it didn't seem to matter. We were enjoying our drinks. We ordered some Gambas al Ajillo and the Tortillitas de Camarones. The Gambas was really delicious. It was generously topped with garlic. The Tortillitas for me wasn't too impressive. I asked the wait staff if it's just a fancy "okoy" (this is a baby shrimp fritter that's very common in the Philippines), and he claimed that it was way better but to my dismay, it really was just fancy okoy. I would have opted for the croquettas.
Prior to serving our meal they served us complimentary bread with salt and olive oil. The bread was actually pretty good and the olive oil has a really good taste that complimented well with the bread. It also had one of those mashed tomatoes on the side that we can add to our bread.
Service was not bad. The wait staff were actually attentive. They seemed to be very friendly too. So overall, it was a pretty good experience. The food was great and the Sangria had a good enough kick that may have affected my conversation with my friend. In a good way of course.

Updated as of July 2018
Barcino serves pretty amazing Spanish food--they serve my favorite Paella Negra in Metro Manila (and they still do)
To think I've never considered Barcino as a place to eat simply on the assumption that it's more a wine place rather than a food place (case in point: signage says Barcino: Wine. Resto. Bar), thank goodness that assumption has been turned.
List of dishes I've tried, recommended ones in asterisks (*) :
- Pan con Tomate
- Almejas a la Marinara*
- Paella Negra*
- Pimientos del Piquillo Rellenos de Carne*
- Parrillada de Carnes
- Zarzuela de Gambas*
- Croquetas Pollo Y Jamon*
Drinks I've tried, recommendations also marked with an asterisk:
- Barcino Sangria Tinto*
- Maeloc con Mora 33cl*
We ordered the paella negra (not in photo), meat and cheese board, and some seafood appetizer, together with a bottle of Merlot.
Food was good as well as the service. But the ambiance wasn’t so good. I guess it’s because Greenbelt is really a crowded mall in the first place.
You can always expect great food and service whenever you visit Barcino. The quality of their ingredients and the way they are prepared are top notch. If i ever crave for excellent spanish food and a place to have a bottle or two I head to Barcino.
The ambiance is dim with accents of wooden furnitures and fixtures. It's relaxing and welcoming.
Must try dishes:
Chorizo Iberico
Calamares Rebosado
Croquettes pollo y jamon
What to drink:
Sangria pitcher - super strong 1/2 glasses will get you tipsy
Whenever I visit with my mom or with my friends. They maintain the same level of service, and quality of food everytime. Watch out for their night cap promos.
A bit pricey but food is good so I can't really complain that much. I only have 2 concerns:
(1) the air conditioning system is not working properly in this branch. although they provided an iwata cooler, would've been more elegant-looking and appropriate if they just get the AC system fixed.
(2) expected the fabada to be a little bit less watery and a a little bit more stewy
Everything else is pretty much ok.

The place is almost always full in the evenings, especially during Fridays and Saturdays. Call ahead to reserved to avoid disappointment.
The place was pretty hot, probably because the aircon units could not cool the place, especially since it was overflowing with merry-making customers. But since the food and service were both excellent, we did not mind that the place was not cold, though supervisor did everything in his power to make us feel comfortable—he pointed portable cooling machines towards our group.
Barcino by far has one of the best selection of diverse wines in the Metro. Not only are the wines diverse in terms of source (New or Old world), but even in terms of prices. You can actually get a decent bottle of Chilean red at P850++. The food is also good; pretty much all the paellas are good, though the Negra can use a few more pieces of squid because it just looks so sad. The arroz montanes and callos are really good together, and worth the try. Service is generally okay, but inconsistent. Sometimes they serve chips or bread when you order just a bottle of wine, sometimes they don't. The staff can be cold even to customers who go there practically every week for a year, but they're generally efficient. The place has become far less crowded after smoking was banned in Greenbelt.
Wide selection of alcoholic drinks. I always get a pitcher of Sangria or a bottle of white wine together with a platter of cheese and/or cold cuts.
A very nice chill vibe place to catch up with friends.
Will try to taste their food one of these days.
Feeling healthy . Tried the salad here (as starter) ganon ata dapat lagi pag nasa pang mayaman ka na kainan. Lol! It was good naman. Hehehehe I forgot the name of the Chef here. I think it was Chef Orge
Barcino always signifies enjoyable evenings!
We had a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Enjoyed the complimentary Pan Con Tomate and ordeed the scrumptious Pollo Al Ajillo. I never tire if eating this dish at Barcino!
I tried tapas and white wine from Galicia. It was quite similar to what you could find in Spain but with a greater choice of wines. Indeed the range of wine was impressive and price wad quite reasonable for the Philippines. Good service. Recommended
Went straight here after a client meeting to chill and have a light dinner over wine. Food is so-so, far from tasty or something deliciously unforgettable.
We were seated outside, so it was hot and humid. Honestly hope there's a big fan for those sitting outside.
Will I return here? Well, yes maybe.
I'm a big fan of wine! 😍 and this is the place I go to when I want to experince different wine options. Good music. There are tables outside for those who smoke but can get quite damp and humid.
Known for their wide selection of wine, this wine resto bar offers more than just that. Yes, they have lots of wine pairings but something must be said of their amazing food. There, I said it. The food here is amazing. And at a lunch hour, my friend and I truly had happy tummies. The interiors of their place had this cozy feel. Though one is surrounded by probably expensive and fine wine, I somehow felt at ease and comfortable. It’s apt for some bonding moments or even for quick lunches.
I went here for some cheese and Spanish red wine, and I must say that the customer service is good. The ambiance is great and it's nice to meet up here for conversations especially during mid- to late-afternoon, when it's not too noisy.
Though this is a wine bar, I come here for the exceptional Spanish menu.
I have been dining here occasionally for the past 5 years, and its Paella Valenciana / Marisco never ceases to excite my tastebud. This is a must for every dinner / lunch at barcino.
Everything else on the menu is very good as well, I have never experienced any form of disappointment from this restaurant.
Ambience is relaxing and pleasant, not too loud, not too boring either.
almost 10/10 - keep up the good food!
Food quality - 10/10
Ambience - 9/10
Service - 9/10
Value for money - 9/10
We reserved a table at Barcino two weeks before our planned get together and got a VIP room (Yey!). There's a consumable reservation fee of Php 1000/head but they don't require advance payment of any sort. The only disadvantage of getting a VIP room is that we had a little bit of trouble getting the attention of the staff because the place is so busy and we're secluded from the rest of the customers.
Here's what we ordered: croquetas de chorizo (So good! This is our favorite), calamares, patatas bravas, chorizo & cheese platter, seafood & meat paella (another must-try, so flavorful!), sandwich (I forgot the name, sorry), delicia de chocolate (love the chocolate filling), red sangria, and a bottle of red wine. Considering the amount of food and drinks that we ordered, the Php 1000/head rate wasn't so bad. Sulit for a group of 11 people.
Tip: Getting a reservation at Barcino requires patience as they do not answer messages promptly. But once they do reply, they try to answer all of your questions to the best of their ability. If you're a large group, it's best to pre-order some of the food items that you want to avoid long waiting time.
It was a very delightful experience dining and drinking wine here ☺️
They started to give us some complementary bread with olive oil and its one thing they have to improve.
On the bright side, steak, chicken fingers with fries and Calamari was good. Its almost perfect paired with some Liria wine. (My new fave wine) Me and my friends liked it so much that we plan to drink it again next time! 🍷🍷🍷
It is a Wine and Deli Store only but you can bring or order food from their nearby branch which is in Greenbelt 2. This is not your typical restaurant as it is only intended for take outs as per the store crew. To experience the ambiance of Barcino, it has a big branch outside of Greenbelt 2 near Italianis. The place is near McDonald's Paseo de Roxas Steel Parking.
Date place. Or me time after a long work week. Not too noisy. Friendly staff. It's hard to catch the attention of the servers if you're seated in the mezzanine level.
A perfect spot for a chill night out with friends. This spot offers a wide variety of red and white wine, selling it per bottle. I have tried their sangria, and it has a perfect blend of fruit and wine(just with the right kick of alcohol); not too sweet either. Pair it perfectly with their Chorizo platter featuring Chorizo Bilbao, Ibérico and Picante Frito.
Barcino provides us with a usual hangout place with my colleagues. During my first visit here, a night manager (not sure if Mark) accommodated us (group of 10) in Barcino's second floor. I really appreciated the way the manager served us and he was always present every time we needed wine, new orders, among others.
There was also one visit when Barcino was offering a promo last October 2015 regarding Cerveza Negra bottles and other exotic beer promos. It was unique and I didn't hear about the other restaurants offering that kind of promo.
I hope that Barcino would maintain the same level of customer service in the next years.
I like their ambiance very relaxed and well put together they really combine the best of spanish cuisine and the drinks are super good. Need to i prove a lil bit more with the service but overall kudos to barcino team. 😄

Well, it was Holy Week so we want to look for a resto bar that serves dishes other than pork or beef and still unwind. And we ended up here. Good choice, as the dishes did not disappoint, espcially that Octopus thingie! The wine tastes great too, not too sour and not too sweet. the sardines, potato and fish dishes are quite delectable! Good place for some chillax time, and the staff were so attentive. So instead of fasting for Lent, we went into 'fatting'. 😋
Great for dinner date or some wine night with friends. Staffs are attentive. Red sangria is the best. We've also tried their sexy and cool and la vina white wine. Both have a fruity light taste.
Tip: Ask for the conplimentary bread before you ordered wine or foods as they only served it as requested.
I would appreciate if they had more tables because it's basically the only wine place that's mainstream so they have a lot of patrons. It would also be nice if their cellar is always complete. Nonetheless, its the perfect place to chill, unwind and hangout with friends
One of the best restaurant we've been to. Great tapas, lovely wine selection. Delicious spanish cuisine... their small wine bar in greenbelt 1, close to healthy option is great for a small cosy party. If you want to avoid the noise of the Barcino in greenbelt 2. Noise or no noise i keep going back.. thzir food szection and wine choices are great. I would recommend this place without hesitation.
Good wines and relaxing ambience just like in the wine cellar. Tapas are all good and even Filipino dishes are also good such as Bulalo. Staff are friendly and attentive.
Nice restaurant with delicious food, especially their dessert and spaghetti ~~~~ love them so much~~~~~ and not that so expensive,, but has nice cooking! And wine~~~ it's a nice restaurant, if you want to have a date dinner or lunch
Always great to have a good conversation with wine and cheese. Their selections are great and on the house bread makes me full every time. Love the food too, paella is not bad at all. Ambiance is nice and i like the brick walls always.
The place would have been perfect if not for the 4 other customers who were so loud and drunk while we were there. A wide selection of drinks at good prices. Barcino's interiors fit well the food and drinks that they offer. I have yet to try their food which I've heard good reviews about.
This is one of my fave.. any branch I go to just satisfies my (any Barcino food/drink) craving... even if I go alone or with friends, Barcino will always put a smile on my face -- good food, good service and ambience 👍👍👍
Celebrating our anniversary at Barcino's was a good choice. It was our first time to dine but definitely not our last. We ordered the following: Chorizo platter, US Rib eye, Canelones and Sangria. We loved loved loved their Rib eye, Canelones and sangria. The chorizo platter was just okay. Their staff was also friendly and attentive.
Our bill was not too bad as well. We shall return! Thank you to all the staff who assisted us and kitchen staff who prepared our scrumptious meal!
I'm admittedly a Barcino regular.
Imagine my surprise when I visited recently, my favorite outlet of theirs - Greenbelt. They had a new menu! I suppose they meant for it to be cleaner and easier to read. It's just a couple huge pages, not a thick book - and it's red text on white, no photos of the food. I was just thinking it might be difficult for those unfamiliar with Spanish cuisine to sift through this menu, since they would really have to read each and every dish's description.
Tried some of their new stuff, along with trusty wine.
Croquetas Setas. I love a good, cheesy croqueta. This was a fantastic change - it was PACKED with fantastic mushroom flavor.
(New) Patatas Bravas. I missed the one that they used to serve in a cast iron dish. This was okay - I feel like the cheese sauce was weirdly muddled with some sort of filler. Dear all restaurants, please DO NOT fill your sauces with disgusting goopy fake mayonnaise.
Arroz Montanes. A change from the usual de Marisco and Paella Negra we get. We opted for something lighter (it was such a carby meal) - this new rice dish they have has vegetables, chicken, pork and Spanish sausage. It was a bit too runny so it didn't have that luxurious mouth feel that you expect from Paellas or Risottos. Flavor was mellow. I wish the sausage chunks were grilled though, they tasted like boiled/steamed sausages. It needed that charred flavor, definitely!
Barcino is my no-brainer wine bar in the Greenbelt area. This branch tends to get some interesting crowd of expats and "island souvenirs" but not as "P. Burgos" ambience of the other bars in the Greenbelt 2 area. Service staff is hit-and-miss. It's sometimes hard to get their attention with all the noise and the heat & humidity in the outside seating. You are better off getting a table inside but you'll miss watching the crowd walking past the wine bar.
They always have different wine categorizes that would easily match your budget and mood. I usually settle with their Tempranillo, Rioja or Cava. Their selection of Chilean and Argentinian wines are also commendable.
I haven't had the chance to try out their dishes aside from the usual chorizo and cheese or tapas platter.
Tapas & Wine!
At any given day of the week, you'll probably run into expats here. So if you are planning of visiting this place with a group, call ahead and make a reservation.
I like this place. Though it's a bar with a sophisticated flair, it doesn't make you want to throw on a cocktail dress (although you could if you were so inclined. ;-) ).
Not a budget place, however great for a date night with your significant other or girls night / boys night out.
Do try their tapas, Jamon Serrano, Ciders and wine selection.
Don't go if you are on a very tight budget or in a hurry. ;-) Their staff is overworked and will need a bit of patience to deal with.
Tip: make reservations!
Nice place to dine and wine! The waiters are cool too! Loved their sangria too!
Must try:
Spicy Shrimp Spaghetti
Paella Negra
Chorizo & Cheese Platter w/ your choice of wine
Perfect for:
Girls Night Out or Friday night out with officemates. Many of their servings are big and are meant for groups.
Barcino's a great place for dinner (although a bit pricey) and/or after dinner drinks.
Request for honey when ordering the cheese. They go perfectly together!
Service, however, can be improved. It may be a little difficult to get servers' attention since Friday/Sat nights get busier than usual.
