Nice japanese food. Authentic taste. Affordable. Cravings can be resolved.
That broth is legit! It’s better than Tenya. It has more slices of meat than I expected. 😊The egg is cooked the way it’s supposed to be cooked. The noodles aren’t the fancy kind but they do the job. The staff are real polite.
I looooove Japanese cuisine, though I haven’t been to Japan yet (omg, I just realized I have to go there soon). But I know I’m having an authentic Japanese dish when Japanese friends invite me to a Japanese restaurant. I’m not sure about you, but I noticed Japanese people are a bit picky on what they eat and are very sensitive on different spices we commonly use for our Pinoy meals. So I am really a fan of those who can pull off a full-menu fusion of not just dishes but flavors from different cuisines and cultural taste.
Sulit to sa mga gusto ng Japanese food kaya lang gipit yung budget. 😉 Very affordable yung mga meals nila. When it comes to the taste, may difference talaga compared sa authentic Japanese cuisine. Don't expect lang din po masyado sa area na kung saan sila, by the name itself "Kaito Japanese Carinderia".
Overall, masasatisfy yung cravings mo sa sobrang murang halaga 😊
This is a good find! Definitely worth the try. You'd think that because this is a small eatery by the side of the road in Bangkal, it's nothing -- you're completely mistaken.
They offer cheap Japanese food without compromising the quality and taste. The first time I ate here, I loved their maki so bad, I Grab Express-ed more for my sister.
Try their Spicy Salmon Maki and ramens!
The best ❤❤❤
Miss this place bibe
Affordable japanese food 👌🏼 (don’t expect big servings though). They have a variety of choices for ramen, donburi, maki, sushi, bento, etc. some are good (like the chashu miso ramen, spicy salmon, etc). Havent tried a lot of their food yet, so you just have to try yourself!

Me & my friends’ budget friendly Japanese food store. Will definitely dine again here the soonest. Authentic Japanese taste. Oishi! 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵
The food is great and you wouldn't realized that it's cheap. I loved their ramen and maki! It's only down is the service, it's a little bit slow maybe because it has a very small kitchen.
Though we went there at 6:30 PM and the crowd was beginning to show up, we were able to get a table. Their bulgogi bento box which yours truly enjoyed with Mountain Dew was a standout, well-proportioned with beef strips tenderly cooked along with clear bulgogi noodles, rice and mini egg sashimi bits :-) There was also the presence of red pepper for those who want the bulgogi bento extra spicy. Another very good choice was their kani salad, fresh and generously served. It's quite amusing for the place to be called a Japanese carinderia; it looks more like those homely, neighbourhood eateries one finds in the back streets of Japan's cities. My applause for Kaito equally goes to the very friendly, helpful staff and very, very clean surroundings. Domo arigato gozaimasu, Kaito, and keep up the job well done!
Taste is on point especially the sushi rolls with respent to their price. Been here a couple of times with my sisters & we always see ourselves saying that we would go again. I think the ppace is okay but I wish they could have a bigger place & more tables.
Ito ang pinakapaborito naming kainan ng partner ko sa Bangkal. Authentic at affordable Japanese food.

We live in this area and we are pleasantly surprise to find such a place. Very affordable and it taste good. Ordered Tonkatsu Bento, Karai Ramen and California Maki. Not bad at all! We will definitely come back.
The food is good maki, noodles, bentos
Even it is a carinderia. The place is only small it is worth naman to wait for your turn to be served.
I love their Tuna Maki. The food is really delicious. I just hope that you will operate not only in after noon but try to start around 3pm to 3 am please. Hope you'll expand your branches.
At first I thought my friends were joking when they said there was a place like this. True to their words it was simply awesome! Turning Japanese in an affordable way.
✔️ authentic Japanese food
✔️ Japanese-feels with the lanterns and all
✔️ affordable and delicious meals
Recommendations: The place can get pretty packed especially on Friday nights so come early to get a table. So far, everything I've tried is delish. The gyosa is a must-try!
You can get a reasonable meal at P100-150. For 1st visits, I'd suggest trying at least 1 bento & ramen. You don't have to spend much, though, because it's a carinderia. Sushi bar's space is tight/sakto.

Ate here with fa(r)t girl merl. So far masarap naman yung maki rolls nila. Masarap din yung hikiniku ramen. Yum yum. Sa sobrang sarap nakaka several plates si fat girl. As in parang walang kabusugan. Parang ngayon, habang nirereview ko to, gutom na naman siya. Buti na lang relatibong malapit lang ang kaito sa bahay.
A friend of mine introduce me the so-called "Japanese Carinderia" in Makati City.
The place is a typical carinderia with Japanese lantern and ornaments.
The server wears Japanese attire that compliments well with the Japanese concept of the carinderia.
I ordered their Spicy Tuna Maki and Gyudon.
Spicy Tuna Maki is flavorful. The flavors of tuna can be tasted with a tinge of sweet flavor coming from the mayonnaise and a spicy aftertaste from the chili. The cucumber inside the Maki added texture and crunchiness on the former.
Their Gydon has the perfect sweet flavor. The glass noodles is tender and every ingredients in the latter blends perfectly with each other.
Over all Kaito Japanese Carinderia can provide flavorful Japanese Dishes to Filipino at an affordable price.
Since I just live near the place, it's convenient for me and I don't have to travel and all. Been here twice already and I'ce tasted their ramen, california maki and their bento meals. I've got to say, the taste is close to Tokyo Tokyo's (except for the ramen of course). The place is really small, and is an open place. The prices are reasonable, and worth coming back for.
Pictures were taken during the 2nd visit, where we only ate califronia maki and their ramen. Hihi
Street food at its best!
Kaito Japanese Carinderia is unpretentious with a simple menu of makos, bento boxes and ramen. Pick the seat close to the "kitchen" to watch the orders go by and see what is popular.
It's my first time and I got to try the seafood ramen for Php100 (with an order of Mountain Dew for Php15).
The broth is light with fresh seafood taste. It had two pieces of small shrimps (they ran out of clans) some tender pieces of squid and fish cakes. Good ramen noodles finishes off this dish.
The bento boxes seem to be popular so that's he next thing I have to try.
Parking is just a bit tricky. I parked all the way in Evangelista Street. The streets are well lit so I didn't mind walking a block or two.
Sara at super sulit! Punta ulit ako mamaya! Yung california maki na yata nila ang pinakamasarap na maki na natikman ko, shucks! Im so in love!!
Very cheap affordable authentic japanese food! We ordered the miso ramen, tuna maki, and the bibimbap. Downside though, there are always too many people! You have to wait a solid 15 mins or more to get served.

THE FOOD IS GREAT, AWESOME, AMAZING! My god, I can't stop raving about it. For the price, this place is a winner. Their Ramen starts at P50, and they also have really cheap Sushi dishes! We ordered Ebi Tempura (P145), Spicy Tuna Maki (P135), Salmon Maki (P175), Shuoyo Ramen (P55), Omu Rice Bulgogi (P110) and Salmon Sashimi (P185).
My favorite was the Salmon Sashimi. Of course the price isn't as cheap as the other dishes, but it is relatively cheap compared to other Japanese restaurants I've tried. It was also the creamiest Salmon I've had by far. Once I bit into it, it sort of melted into my mouth giving me a pleasurable orgasmic mouth party. Second would be the Salmon Maki; it was a montage of flavors I can't even begin to describe. Next would be the Ebi Tempura; I haven't had Ebi Tempura that included Shrimp heads! And boy were they tasty! I wasn't very fond of the Shoyu Ramen and Omu Rice, but I think that's because of my seafood preference in general. But the dishes were great too and well worth your money. Plus the egg on that Ramen, perfect bite on the outside, runny on the inside!
My new favorite place for some very affordable Japanese dishes. Their sushi was fresh and the katsu was breaded and fried perfectly. Both were were delish and can be mistakenly prepared by the more posh and popular Japanese restaurants. The Kani Salad was typical. Lettuce shreds were crunchy, moist, and fresh. Not sure if they used Kewpie mayonnaise; close enough though. Would certainly go back and experience the "kalye" dining.
Good things about this carinderia is they offer a variety of Japanese food, there are also some Korean dishes in the menu, they serve fast and lastly they're open until midnight.
The only con is they have small servings of meat compared to other diner that also serves Japanese meal with the same price.
Tip! Order Bento Meals and Ramen, I think they have more servings
Definitely a must try for those who loves jap food. Although patience is a must have coz of the bulk of people in line. I think we waited for almost 2hrs before we were able to have our meal. Food's great! Tastes like the expensive ones you see in the malls but cheaper. Bento boxes, omu rice meals, ramen are below P100. Don't expect top service because they are shortstaffed, but the staff are corteous and accommodating enough. I just wished they have enough room for customers since they are now featured at social media sites. Not for big groups, but the food is great so it's worth all the wait ❤️
Street parking
Affordable food
5:30 open nila not 5pm until mid night
Food is very masarap
Don't expect fine dining, coz it's a carenderia
Nice presentation too for a carenderia
They should get a new and spacious place to accommodate more customers
Swak sa budget. Place is clean and serves fresh food. Like little tokyo at a kanto setting. Open till midnight beside the old Intel building. Tried omurice gyudon and tonkatsu.
I've been yearning to try their foods last October but they're closed that time. When they're back my sister and I went there right away and I never regret that we ate there. Every time I had a chance, I brought my friends there👍🏽👍🏽
I never thought that I will look forward to eating in a carinderia. They have amazing food at low cost. Usually when we dine here our bill just costs around 300PHP (4 different dishes) and we're so full after. Our all time favorite is their Gyudon.
