Another chill spot in Makati. You can bring your friends here to eat, drink, or both! I recommend their sisig.
I have dinner here while waiting for wife's appointment to finish. Food is good, ambiance is cozy, especially when it gets dark. Spacing between tables is good, even with a crowd, the place feels quiet with the occasional background chatter. Great place to just sit and enjoy your meal quietly.

Experience: We stayed here at around 12 mn. We were looking for a pub or a place to chill that serves beer 24 hrs. We had couple of beers and their beers are really cheap. I like the vibe here. Its chill :)
I love many things in Whistlestop—the ambiance, the location, the prices, and the food. However I believe they are a bit understaffed; sometimes there are only two people running around the entire place. Despite that, I still come here frequently for lunch or for after-work drinks. My favorite is their Pad Thai, which costs less than P200 but good for two people. I also love their Sisig (just remind the server not to put too much onions) and I can’t believe I don’t have a photo of it. Other good dishes are Tokwa’t Baboy (for only less than P100) Sizzling Mushroom, Buffalo/Boneless Wings, Pork Barbeque, and Nachos. I’ve also tried their Morning Lightweight (not so good), Adobo sa Gata (not such a fan of Gata), Monggo Soup (ordinary) and Crispy Pata (not so crispy).
I used to work near Whistlestop, so I was there all the time! Their drinks are cheap compared to others and the food is not bad at all! Very cozy vibe; perfect place to drink at with office mates and friends. And it’s open 24/7!
Ambience:
It was my first time going to any of their branches and parking seemed limited at first. Good thing we managed to park in front of their neighboring establishment (probably because it was very late already). Restaurant was really crowded and full of life. It's been awhile since I've been around crowds that lively.
Chicken Arroz Caldo:
Comfort food! It's not my favorite pricing for arroz caldo but it was acceptable for the venue. It was very hot and relaxing for a slightly itchy throat.
Whistlestopper:
It's basically a bacon cheeseburger with egg and fries. Life of this burger lies within the really tasty bacon, bacon, Bacon! Batter was fine too. Overall shape was a bit big and all over the place, resulting to me cutting them up with fork and knife, burger rules shattered. Fries were actually nice as well so good thing we also had a solo order for it.
Service:
Surprisingly, the arroz caldo arrived last. This can be challenging if your friends are the type that wait til everyone has their order on the table. We did otherwise since we were hungry already.
Whistlestop has been around for generations, I remember when my dad would take us there in the 90s as the evening’s final stop before driving back home. Two nights ago counts as my first for this decade. (this location is new, they moved from their old spot along Pasay Road).
The place isn’t air conditioned, but the December air was just right. The crowd’s lively and people were doing their own thing. The place is best for those who want to feel the life of the buzz of other peeps enjoying the evening.
The food and service were extremely surprisingly good. The food was good and the servings were generous. The staff members were attentive, super aware, and super responsive. I don’t think that there was any request they overlooked. And while most people would experience feeling abandoned or ignored when they raised their hands for a server to come over in other restos, the Whistlestop staff never skipped a beat. They even got us mashed potatoes when we thought there was likely none to accompany our salisbury steak. Great service and great value.
place looks neat and cozy. perfect spot for chill out and pig out session. lighting and chairs are perfect. nachos is very delicious and also their pork sisig plus their tokwa't baboy. if they could open a branch near our office (macapagal area) i would be a frequent visitor. the only not so good feedback is their waiters should be more attentive to.their customers. nonetheless, everything was spot on :)
Food was great. Everything is perfect💙. They offer cheap prices of foods and drinks, the ambience is very cozy good for chill nights with your loved ones and friends.
The place was packed when we went there around 1am until the time we left around 2:30 am there were still lots of customers, crowd wasn’t even dwindling down much.
There were lots of choices on the menu ranging from beer matches to full on meals with rice.
Crispy Pata was reasonably priced at P495 for a large size but not as crispy as we would like. Not the best Crispy Pata we’ve tasted but relatively ok just for beer match.
Tokwa’t Baboy (they used pig’s ears) was good. More on the tokwa rather than the pork.
Nachos was colorful and nice, big enough serving which is good for sharing.
Sizzling Garlic Buttered Chicken was a pleasant surprise. My friend and I loved it too much we finished it all by ourselves. It has some corn and carrots mixed with the gravy and chicken was tender and nice.
With so much items on the menu, you’ll surely find something good to eat at a place open even way into the morning.
We had late dinner and few drinks at Whistletop a few days back and it was overall a new experience. First time I went there was months ago with my guy pals and all Ive had was beer and their superb Nachos. Second time was last week with my officemates and boss who was so kind to let us order what we want and paid for it. We've had Crispy Dinuguan, Garlic Broccolli, Bulalo, Kilawin Tanigue and we tried their cocktails too. Mint Mojito did not deliver while Lychee Martini was good and gave me what I wanted: sweet fix for dessert. Will come back for sure.
Great buffalo wings and choco cake! Will definitely comeback for more. The sfaff are amazing and very approachable. Overall nice ambiance and experience. Will try the main dishes next time. 🙂
Our go-to place for late night drinks and meals or when we’re feeling strong and extend our drinking spree to coincide with breakfast. Haha! Cheap beers (though only offered by the bottle) and huge servings of food! Love their nachos, wings, and mozzarella sticks!

Usually after parties or after we hang out, our comfort food rests here. Beef Salpicao. You can never go wrong with Beef Salpicao at 3am, getting sobered up from a lit and drunken evening with friends! Cheers! 🍻
I was looking for a nice place to celebrate Father's Day in Makati and I ended up choosing Whistlestop because of the variety its menu has to offer and of course, it is conveniently situated at the foodie haven known as Jupiter St.
As it turns out, I made the right decision because as I said, the menu is a mix of Filipino, American, and Spanish dishes just to name a few. The variety can cater to everyone in the family.
I'm also surprised and impressed that our orders arrived about less than 10-15 minutes after they were placed. For approximately 200-400php, you will get your money's worth because of the taste and the huge serving per order.
My order was the Whistlestopper, and holy mackarel, that was a mouthful! Pretty nice taste and value for 210php. I cannot emphasize how that bacon is crunchy with all those crumbs, but it is so soft at the same time! (see the attached photo)
The service was superb. Their crew were attentive, accommodating, and friendly. They make sure to cater to your needs immediately with smiles on their faces.
Now I know why Whistlestop is a preffered destination of those in need of their midnight/early morning food, or maybe, drinking needs.
If you want to have a night cap head over to Whistle Stop, they have cheap beers, great selection of food, and its open 24/7. Whenever we visit we always get a bucket then proceed to devour their hungarian platter that comes with a mound of fried rice, hungarian sausage and bacon. Insider tip: Ask for honey mustard sauce it's great with both the sausage and bacon. Service could be better but with the price and quality of food. It's a real steal, no wonder after all these years their still open and thriving.
It's been a long time since I last visited a Whistlestop restaurant. I have to think twice though as it did not have airconditioning. Nevertheless, I visited some time in the evening, it was humid but there was a slight breeze every now and then.
I sat down and was handed a menu. I never took notice but it had a story at the back part. It was about the origins of Whistlestop and how an insomniac started it all. I was fascinated as I could relate on the insomniac part. Indeed, you can conjure great ideas in the evening such as conceptualizing a restaurant joint.
Now, what to order? Eating breakfast food in the evening sounds appealing, the rebel gastronome told me to order the Adobo flakes, and that I did.
It arrived around 10 minutes after. The restaurant only had 2 tables occupied, perhaps the reason why the food was served quickly. There was a bunch of men at the other side of the restaurant drinking beer probably in their 40s. This time, I thought this a perfect hang out joint for the titos of Manila.
The Adobo Flakes was accompanied with garlic fried rice topped with a sunny side up and vinegar on the side. The flakes were nice and crunchy, just the way I like it. I poured some vinegar and it gave it a hint of sweetness. I liked how it contrasted my garlicky rice. It was a good dinner.
There were staff going around the place but I only saw 2 on the floor. But I guess that's fine since the night is still young and there weren't a lot of guests at 730pm on a Saturday.
The place is very dim, it really must be meant to be a drinking place but it doesn't have that noisy and untidy feel like the other restaurants. It was definitely a good experience, I'd give this place a 4 out 5.
Worst 😣😑😐🙂☺😁 Best
😁Food - Food was great! And the menu has a wide range of selection - they have Pad Thai, Nasi Goreng, and Pasta (talk about the United Nations). They also have a wide selection of beers and hard drinks. Their Crispy pata is crispy good (well not the best but still worth it). Unfortunately, the flavor of their Boneless Chicken Wings were too overwhelming for my taste. I should have just ordered Goreng or Pad Thai instead.
🙂Ambience - Loud from the upbeat music and chatters from the other diners, but hey it's a late-night restopub.
😁Price - For a 24hr service restopub, the prices are very reasonable.
☺Service - Service was extremely fast! Need to have it checked though for service consistency.
Their Sinigang na Bangus Belly is so addicting... With regards to their Pork Sisig it needs consistency when it comes to taste and portion... Bacon Chicken Liver, Beef Tapa, Adobo Flakes, Crispy Pancit and Pork Bbq are also good...

My go-to place for both eating or drinking. Crowd is not as loud. Food is yummy, serving size is fair and flavor is just right. However, for a night of drinking, make aure to count your bottles. Have experienced multiple times where they overcharge. Recommendations: Tokwa’t baboy, crispy pata, Spanakopitas, lychee martini!
Still one of the best places for after-hours and comfort food after a night of drinking. A go-to place even for lunch and a REALLY early breakfast.

Ive been here 3 times, Wednesdays around 1am. Big serving, good tasting, fair price. 5 points for that. Based on other reviews, seems like they lack consistency during peak hours. Thats why im taking 1 point off.
The food here are worth the price. I love the corned beef hash so much. The chicken - very big serving. You can share it with others. 24hrs :)
Prior to visiting, I thought Whistlestop was just a watering hole for expats and call center yuppies in the area. I didn't know they served lunch fare and that they are literally a 24-hour establishment!
They serve decent versions of Filipino classics: tokwa't baboy, adobo flakes, lumpia rolls, beef salpicao, calamares prittos, and the usual silog varieties. They are priced fairly too and are right on the budget for a Makati yuppie.
Too bad it was still to early for beer when we visited. But then again, I think that was just us, considering there were already expats drinking at the other table near us. ;)
The place is warm and relaxing. The dishes are bit expensive. The service is good. However, the beef salpicao I ordered was salty unlike the salpicao dish from other branch.
food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It was delicious and they have creative presentation of food
The food that stands out the most was their beef salpicao. Soft and flavorful meat and sauce.
Place ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nice place to hang out
Menu ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Too many food listed in the menu that we got confused on what to order
Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Friendly staff but the service was not that fast
Price ⭐⭐⭐⭐
A bit expensive for food serving size.
MAIN BOMB:
Pork barbecue
Whistle stopper burger with crispy bacon and egg on top
Boneless buffalo wings
Whistle stop iced tea ( like slush)
Mozzarella cheese sticks
Downside:
Parking is always full esp on a wed and sat
We love this place. The price is worth the taste and serving. Not to mention that, the taste has always been consistent since day 1.
If you read their menu, their history is in there and i should say; they are able to live by their founder's legacy.
I love this place😀😀😀
The place is conveniently located near the business center. Good for stressed-out office workers looking for a place to hangout without all the hassle.
Food- 4.5/5
Price- 5/5
Service- 3/5
Ambiance- 2/5
Nearly 2 Saturdays ago, me and my friends decided to have our breaky at Whistlestop after work, since it's open for 24hrs. Errm, the place was full of party-people. On the way to the closed area (yeah, away from all the smoke and the smell of beer and and PDAs) I had to hold my breath bcoz of the smoke . Gladly, the closed area was only occupied by us.
On the bright side, food was delicious with an impressive food presentation and are really affordable.. and were served on time.
We just had to remind the servers to refill our drinks every once in a while (bcoz they concentrated more on the people at the smoking area.
Our go-to place for drinking sesh. Cheap, wide selection of food, all day breakfast, staff is nice. Mangga at bagoong paired with beer and Arroz Caldo to end the night.
i love it here because it's accessible, open 24-hours, has great variety and one of the few remaining food outlets in the metro that has a decent smoking area. the service is ok. but too bad if you get served by this woman who doesn't even wear a badge. this woman must really really hate her job or she doesn't think she's paid enough. she's a sourpuss who makes the whole whistlestop vibe gloomy and sad. i hope the owners/proprietors will be able to do something about this. anyway, everything is really amazing here especially the chocolate truffle cake. just don't get served by her. beware!!!
This is a staple hang-out place for our office since it's near and accessible any time of the day (or night). Late night drinks, hang-out, or simple dinner and lunch it never fails.
The service however is a different story, sometimes they are highly attentive and extra courteous. Sometimes they seem to be lagging behind.
As for the food the Tuna Sisig is my persona favorite. I can also recommend the Chicken adobo sa gata and Crispy Pata.
Yass!
- open 24/7
- food.booze.ambiance. Check!
- CRISPY PANCIT!!!
This is a very chill place. If you need this and that at the very wee and woo hours of the day (I mean food and booze) this place is for you.

Quite a good place for a post-midnight "snack". Visited for the first time earlier this morning, the staff were attentive, thus the service was excellent.
The atmosphere was very chill. I can see how it's managed to stand the test of time, and why a lot of people continue to visit.
The food was also great! I had chorizo burger with fries, some buffalo wings, and iced tea. Man that iced tea was something else. Too bad the breakfast menu isn't an all day thing.
T'was a good choice to finally visit, and I'll definitely be back for more!
Ever reliable, Go-To place for late night grub and reasonably priced beer. Whistlestop at 9pm because you want to hang out with friends and have really good beef salpicao, nachos, sisig, and dynamite. Whistlestop at 12am because you want to eat mangga and bagoong out of the blue. Whistlestop at 3 am because it's still open, they do have brewed coffee, and you don't want to go home yet.
Best place to wanna chill, drink and eat. Food is very delicious and they serve it in big portions. They are open 24 hours, better be early during late nights as there are a lot of people hanging out in there.
Just doing a quick break. Service can be improved though. But my favorite is still their tokwa't baboy with a partner of a cold beer. This one will made my day.

Whistle stop is a good option for those who are looking for a place to grab some beer/drinks without having to deal with a rowdy crowd and loud, eardrum crushing music. it's a place to chill and converse with friends. We went there to have dinner after church service, the place was full but good thing there was a private room available (it was reserved for 12midnight and since we went there just for dinner they allowed us to use the room). Whistle stop has an open area for those who smokes and prefer al fresco, one private room which can sit about 15 people comfortably and a closed area with a few tables for diners who do not smoke or are there to dine.
We ordered their nachos, salpicao, Monggos with adobo flakes, Buffalo chicken wings.
The Monggo soup was delicious, it was how it was cooked back home. It had a creamy after taste and the adobo flakes added texture of the soup which was a good play of flavors in my mouth.
Beef salpicao was super yummy. Meat was tender and perfectly seasoned. The garlic adobo sauce smothered on top of hot white rice was so sinful yet addicting.
Nachos- good for sharing but felt short in flavor.
Iced tea- house blend, blended iced tea. I like that it wasn't too sweet and had a good lemon taste.
Buffalo chicken wings- nothing special but I like the buffalo sauce. Not spicy just the way I prefer my buffalo wings.
Service was good might be hard to call for one if you're inside the private room (they should consider a bell to let them know that their needed in the closed area.
Definitely worth another visit to try their cocktails and other food choices.
Parking can be difficult but there are park boys available to assist you.
My friend thinks the price is not worth the food we are, as for me the food was a hit or miss, usually the hits didn't have generous servings. Generally the price points are higher but considering the ambiance it was alright.
I used to be a Whistlestop goer when I was younger. Those days, I still go on full night drinking and Whistlestop will be our final destination. We would order a few more bottles of beer then order full meals. Adobo flakes was my staple. So I was really delighted that my meeting was near a Whistlestop. The Adobo flakes still easily hits the spot and tastes the same, but with better presentation. The place looks and feels nicer, too!
Nice place to chill for its awesome ambiance, they have friendly crews as well (most), nice cuisines, open 24 hours, if someone willl ask for a cool place to chill, i'll surely recommend this place.
It's like finding a treasure at the comforts of your home.
After reading through all the comments about this place, I decided to give it a shot despite my initial reluctance (not a fan of open areas where everyone smokes). I didn't know there's a non-smoking area inside with really comfy chairs and huge flatscreen tv so yay.
Downside is the lack of available waiters and their inability to attend to the needs of the customers.
We had to ask for water twice before they served us. Even the nearby tables got a bit frustrated at first. There was a mixup in our order but they were able to fix it without much fuss.
For the food, the mixed nachos (P275) was like a mountain of nacho chips flooded with cheese and smothered with a generous amount of red beans. Not a fan of red beans but I really liked the nachos so I don't know what magic occurred there. Sure hope they add more spiciness to it though.
The plate of buffalo wings (P175) with bleu cheese dip (P50) and butter rice (P45) is to die for. I can claim that Whistlestop has the most underrated buffalo wings--it's just so cheap yet still super flavorful. A serving has 8 pieces and I only ate two because I was already full with all the nachos I ate.
I will definitely go back here for their wings alone but of course, I want to their a lot of other things on their menu too. Really satisfied customer over here but I hope they do something about the lackluster customer service.
The beautiful thing about Whistlestop is that they are open 24 hours a day; From breakfast, until you're ready to sober up from a night of partying, until the wee hours of the morning.
It's quite evident on their menu that you can run to them to either perk up your day or recover from the night before. The menu ranges from the all-time breakfast favorites, Tapsilog, Adobo, Bangsilog (eggs done your way), to their signature Beef Salpicao, Country Fried Chicken Steak, and Baby back Ribs.
Also, if you must only eat one dessert at this place, get the Banoffee Pie. IT'S SO, SO, GOOD! And I think that's saying something when a place that doesn't at all specialize in desserts, has a delicious Banoffee Pie.
The only downside to it is that Whistlestop is always packed and the restaurant itself isn't that big. They have outdoor seating but can only seat a few people as well. Other than that, I love this place because the food is good, affordable, and their service is fast - like the servers are always alert and orders come in after a short wait. Always a fan.
It's the 25th of December and we are in the city away from our families. That means, we are to look for a dine out experience for this occasion since we don't have the luxury of cooking meals for this day. So we headed out to a place where it's open at this time. And we weren't disappointed. We had their yummy #arozcaldo. Something we always have if we are celebrating in the province. And partnered this hot steamy food with their #vintagefriedchicken and it was equally delicious. All good dinner on Christmas eve away from our families.
Ordered chicken tenders and beef nachos style and mojito and cosmopolitan 😊 cosmopolitan and mojito is good for ladies drink and for chicken tenders is good taste but a bit salty..
Buffalo wings with Bleu Cheese
For my second time here, I still ordered their buffalo wings. Its really good, not too spicy but you have that certain hot kick. And it definitely goes well with the bleu cheese so make sure you add that up when you order.
Awesome 24/7 one-stop chill out bar you can always chill at.
Good food at a reasonable price.
Their interior is very manly though with touch of comfy chairs which your bum can totally enjoy. 😂 (cmon! who doesn't love comfy chairs!)
No bucket beer to offer but their beer bottle is actually still cheap. So that's a plus
Still one of my personal faves. A 24 hr reinventive hangout place when you're craving for that homey chillax. It's been our go to spot after a frazzled work day to be consoled by their heartwarming servings be it bacon, tapa flakes, hashed corned beef, white chicken, or even the humble nachos screaming piquancy. Highly recommended, perfect laid back place for loved ones and friends. 😁👍💜
For all seasons. For all times.
This is my on-the-go staple type of restaurant that you dont get that "umay" feeling.
Its just right across my office and we nest in here always. (Yes we dont miss a week)
Best sellers are their (am holding my breath for my ever favorite) monggo soup! Their tokwat baboy smirking on its sweet salty soy soury sauce. Their buffalo chicken wings is at its best blue cheese dip. We already tried their crunchy crispy pata! Crazy! 😄
Please dont forget the whistlelittas and the tuna sisig on a sizzling buttery and spicy zest!
Its a 4.5 rating for their viands do not change in amount, texture, taste and presentation!
Parking along makati is hard but they got a few. Plus they are open 24/7!
Catch me and my friends here weekly! Worth recommending.
One of the first few 24 hours restaurant in town. Whistlestop has been in town for more than two decades. I would remember my dad and mom and some of their friends would hang out here after their gimmicks in the late 80s. How do I know? Because they always have some "take away" for me and my sister. Up to now, Whistlestop still gets jam packed esp. during after work hook ups. Food are good and affordable. I love their Nachos served with beef and overflowing cheese.
My first trip to Whistlestop in Bel-Air, Makati was when my colleagues and I decided to take our ambassadors for breakfast, at around 7am. First, it was one of the good establishments that offer drinks at such an early hour – and they have a good place.
From what I heard, this establishment has been serving Filipinos 24/7 since 1977! From experience, we ordered the Monggo Soup with Chicharon and the Hainanese Chicken Rice and we loved it. Of course we ordered a few others along with our drinks, and to our surprise, the bill wasn’t too bad for a group of 15 people. During this time, they were also playing some good basketball game on their television which our foreign companions loved.
we used to have a drink here after a tiring shift in the office.. just few bottles of beer, chicken sisig and tokwa't baboy perfect match for the pulutan :) also i have tried their honey bourbon chicken's big serving :) for the price: reasonable. what i liked about the place is that there is a place there that has AC where you can eat and drink if you and your friends do not smoke,, staff were accommodating. perfect restaurant if you want to unwind with friends :)

Ate here today with my love and we absolutely loved their food! We ordered their Vintage Tapa, Beef Salpicao and Daing na Bangus. Large servings and definitely worth your money. There's no issue with the service at all maybe because we went there at 4 am and people are starting to depart lol 😂 but anyways, it's a good place to eat when you're really hungry at anytime of the day ✌️😁
Love going to this place because of the good food. One of my go-to places every time I feel hungry especially during late hours. The downside for me is the service. Their manpower during peak hours is not enough. Today was very disappointing. Since I usually stay in the non-smoking area, I had to go outside several times just to get the attention of their waiters.
The reliable Whistlestop. Reliable for their comfort food and they are open 24 hours. I brought my foreign client here for a late dinner. He loved the rub eye steak medium rare perfectly cooked. They have been known for the bpo peeps after shift to hangout. This branch is notable for the cool antique memorabilas on display. Very nostalgic indeed. The menu is quite pricey. A good olace to hangout once in a while. Oh yeah, they have good crispy pata.
Everything that I ordered here was just fantastic. Meals may be a little pricey for the serving size, but it's the taste that you're paying for here. My favorite is their beef tapa! It's just unbeatable!
I ate here multiple times with my co-workers at StarTek, which is nearby. I would've given them a 5.00 rating if not for some of the customers there. They serve beer, and other diners can be loud and rowdy when they get drunk. You can't even enjoy your meal.
Nice place to hang after work. You have a choice if you want to dine outdoors or enjoy the comfort of their ACs. Of course, we settled for the latter.
Food items are a bit pricey but I recommend their tacos if you want a pulutan that's yummy but still sulit :) Try their mojito too! But please be advised that they don't have happy hour for their drinks.

Ordered Shrimp sate and their house iced tea. The shrimp sate was good but the size and texture of the shrimp were really disappointing. We also ordered buffalo wings with blue cheese dip and their classic barbecue. The barbecue was amazing and affordable. The buffalo wing on the other hand was just okay.
This is very near where I work so we usually come here for a night cap, or when we need a place to watch the games. :)
My staples are their mini tacos & beef salpicao. But on our last visit, we also ordered their crispy pansit & pork barbecue (3 sticks an order), w/c are both very delicious and are now my new favorites as well. :)
The 3rd in my '24 hour restos' tour after Recovery and Ziggurat.
Clean, well lit and large place. Good beer selection too.
We went for chicken arroz caldo along with the All Tokwa. The Arroz Caldo was much larger than the one at Recovery for 140p (vs. Recovery 's 99p). Filling and satisfying but not as tasty as Recovery 's. The tokwa cane nicely toasted in vinegar with onions and green chillies. Enjoyed this dish
Caldereta with patis na may calamansi at sili.. Ayos na.. Beer...
We just finished watching a movie and since we're starving we decided to find a 24hrs place to eat. So we checked this one out. I have read many good reviews about this resto bar so my expectations are high for this one. And it didnt failed me:)
I ordered beef salpicao with pasta and my boyfriend ordered hainanese chicken and whistlestop iced tea.
Mine was really good tho I find it too oily. And the hainanese chicken is tender and really flavorful. The whistlestop icedtea for me is too sweet but my boyfriend says its just right. I find the place really good, the ambiance is just perfect and the interior is exquisite. All in all our experience here is great. Perfect for a barkada night out or just late night foodtrip.
We'll definitely come back :)
Just dined here tonight. And I must say, their buffalo wings are good!! It's only 175 pesos, worth it because it has 8 pieces. Much cheaper compared to others, yet tastes better. I rate it 4.0, though, I ordered their mojito too but their serving is a little small and quite pricey for that kind of serving. So all in all I rate 3.5 :)
Was my first time to try ot out here last Dec. 5, 2013, and I'd say it was quite an experience :) the amount of food served for the price was more from what I have expected, aaand it all tasted awesome! (Pasta ala Pobre, Garlic Noodles, Bolognese, Five star whole chicken) Price, quantity, and taste are ❤
Pretty nice place to chill out and unwind. Boneless Buffalo Wings with Bleu Cheese Dip, Chilli Cheese Sticks, Hungarian Meal, and Spl Nachos are definitely amongst the best bar chows that you can relish. While one can stay away from the cocktails, the common single shots ranging between 160 to 180 is about the same as most bars.
Whistlestop reminds me of my college days. It used to be iconic to "hang" at Whistlestop. For one reason or another, you got beauty or pogi points, or seen as part of the IT crowd. But after the peaking hormones settled down, Whistlestop became the place to go to for reminiscing, or a quick drink. With this comes pulutan like their grilled squid, their bangus or tuna belly, hilaw na manga with bagoong (fermented shrimp paste) and beefsteak. The one thing I continue to wish for at Whistlestop is for them to invest in a decent staff. They are slooooow.....
The new place is nice with non smoking booths perfect for more private get togethers. The new theme cozied up the place. As usual, the food they serve is enough to satisfy the hungry with selections such as beef salpicao, Hainanese chicken and Nasi goreng to name a few of my favorites. Their spicy gambas and boneless chicken are both favorites as well.
Variety of cuisines, hefty serving and conducive ambiance. Lurv it.

We just ate here an hour ago, and I must say we enjoyed the place, the food and the people who served us.. we ordered the chicken satey, waffle and adobo sa gata, and all we can say is yummy!!! And plus the place is really cozy and their service is excellent..
Food: We tried the Beef Salpicao and Hainanese Chicken as they say they're their bestsellers and they were really good. The flavors of the Beef Salpicao and Hainanese Chicken will bring your taste buds to a whole new world. I would go back and order these two again.
Ambiance: We went there during lunch and a part of the place was currently under construction so we had to make do with their big air coolers and electric fan. The staff were also having a heated meeting at that time so they were a bit loud. I guess you wouldnt have to experience these things next time.
From early breakfast when I'm coding to lunches when I'm craving and after office winding down with colleagues, this place probably has it all.
The other day, I was feeling under the weather and was craving for some Tom Yum soup, I was looking for Thai restaurants nearby. I found a couple of places but parking was a B! (Hey, it's is Makati. And parking is a very big consideration for me.) Besides, my friends wanted to eat other things. So, I suggested Whistlestop. I was pretty sure there would be something there that everyone would like.
True enough.
We ordered a feast!
Tom Yum soup. Chicken curry. Salpicado. Hungarian bites.
Everybody happy! However, I personally do not recommend their desserts.
Here are some of my recommendations:
Breakfast: Beef tapa or daing na bangus
Lunch / Dinner: Hainanese chicken, salpicado, crispy pata, kang kong
Bar chow: tokwa't baboy, hungarian bites, whistle-izzas, boneless buffalo chicken wings
Having midnight cravings? Just drop on by down to Whistlestop and have your fill of their scrumptious selection of fusion style cooking. The location is prime if you prefer some peace and quiet. The ambiance is relaxing, well suited for a group hangout or a moonlight tryst. The service has room for improvements but all in all friendly. The facilities are well-kept and the design gives it a very vintage, old-timey feel. Try their famous Whistle-izzas to whet your appetite, and have my personal favorite, Whistlestop Beef Salpicao, as a starter. If you're missing the shores of Boracay, you could also sample their version of a Chori Burger. A stark contrast from the hustle and bustle of the Makati CBD, choose Whistlestop if you want a relaxing escape after a tiring work day.
