Luk-Yuen Provides your go to Chinese Dishes that get the job done and make you full to the brim! I honestly loved their salt and paper spare ribs paired with good yang chow fried rice and a cold Luk-Yuen Blend Ice Tea to bring it all down! They have big portions which makes it great for a family of 6 to enjoy and get themselves full! Recommended retaurant to eat and enjoy with the fambam!
Instant Chinese Food. Unique chinese cuisine flavors that suits the taste of filipinos. Service is quick and atmosphere is great and fancy feeling. Food are really “bang for the buck”
I'm a fan of Chinese food and Luk Yuen didn't disappoint. Food was great! Especially the raddish cake, which instantly became a favorite. I also loved their corn soup
Luk yuen is located inside cash and carry... this is not our first time in Luk Yuen and we like the dimsum. We got the halo-halo and it tastes ok. and the congee tastes just right. Nothing special, the food is ok and expected.
I am basing my review on my experience. 😉 I ordered the peppercorn spareribs. Taste is usual with the other spareribs I’ve tried from other Chinese restaurants, but what makes it special is their vinegar. It makes the ribs yummy and different from others. We also tried their fried noodles with seafood. Tastes a bit salty. Hakaw and siomai were kind of dry. I could have requested to have the dimsums steamed again.
For the place, not that spacious and it really gets crowded during lunch hours.
Customer service based on my experience is great.
Overall, I will have this restaurant a must try. Much fresher food than the other Chinese restaurants I tried.
A childhood favorite luk yuen! Few branches though and mostly linked with unimart. I hope they have more branches. Conggee with porkballs is my personal favorite.
The best sweet and sour fish fillet I have ever tasted. The fish fillet was crispy even towards the end of our meal. The sweet and sour sauce is the typical chinese SS sauce but went well with the crispy fish.
The braised mixed vegetables with shrimp and roast pork was more like Shrimp/Roast Pork/Chicken Liver with vegetables because there was so much meat than vegetables. This is so worth for the price. The veggies was perfectly cooked.
Dimsums are also worth trying. Yum!
When it comes to freshness of foods Luk Yuen is better than North Park, even a simple dish can make a lot difference. Foods are great yet their service must be improved.
Everything that we ordered was delicious and fresh! That includes the steamed fish with veggies dish which isn't shown in my photos. If you happen to drop by Cash & Carry and would like to have a sumptuous lunch or dinner, this is definitely recommended.
The space is too little and the tables are too close to each other. I love their hakaw shrimp and fried noodles with seafood 🍜🍤 The service was good.
We always love to eat here since they have an area allowed for pets. Servers are attentive but you have to call their attention at times. We requested for newly cooked foods especially the fried taro and dumpling, appreciated that they did as requested. Utensils are ok, could be cleaner, comfort room available upstairs.
One of the restaurants lining Cash & Carry's ground floor. They offer a good assortment of Chinese delicacies quite unique around the area. I loved their fried radish cakes and their dry noodles. The place is well-lit and looks clean, provided it's within a highly-populated area, and has good service from their waiters. The price isn't steep and offers servings good for two, leaving the voracious eaters with more than they're looking for. The yang chow is so-so and could use an upgrade, like adding more seafood into the mix. The fish in sweet and sour sauce was really good and didn't seem oily at all. Having said that, you get your bang for the buck here when craving for Chinese food amidst this area.
Food is a bit pricey but of course delicious. Vibrant place with very accommodating staff that are always ready to assist your needs. Full stomach = empty wallet 🤣🤣🤣
I've been going here for only one thing: Century Egg with Shredded Pork Congee. (Shredded Pork used to be Lean Meat.) I couldn't get enough of this delicious rice porridge. Upon serving, mix the egg right away so it'll get cooked by the soup. Add drops of toyo (soy sauce) for added flavor.
Halo Halo Congee is also recommended if you like a variety of meat. I usually get a lot of tasty liver and a few meatballs among other things. Even the regular size fetches you a fair quantity of meat.
Luk Yuen branch in Cash n Carry is our place to go when my 4-year old son demands wanton. Their wanton noodles are nice, firm and thin; with just about the right temperature of warm soup which I can feed my him shortly after it is served. My daughter loves their hakaw (shrimp dumpling), which we also feel is one of the best hakaw out there. Recently we tried their fish steak and shrimp with vegetable and cashew..they didn't disappoint! We usually order their sweet chili dumplings there too which is a hit a for us. Our family love this restaurant because we can always find something for our taste.

Cash and Carry, Makati City
Been in this restaurant for several times and I can say they quite satisfy my cravings for "lugaw" ahahah.
We also dine here for their dimsums and noodles, great for snacks. Foods served here quite taste good, spices are blended well, though sometimes it lacks saltiness or maybe my tongue is just sick when it does not taste any salt in the food at all especially for my "lugaw" / congee hahah...

Great ambience--brightly-lit, well-maintained restaurant.
Great-tasting food for a reasonable price. I took my mom and dad to dinner here, and after we ate our fill, we found out that our bill was only Php 700+. What I appreciate most about its menu was that it had ample options for non-meat eaters like me (usually marked as a "healthy option"). Their dishes were also not the run-of-the-mill offerings found in most Chinese restaurants. I appreciate how they strove for originality. You have to try their vegetable and shrimp dumpling and their radish cake. Plus, their braised e-fu noodles with seafood was really good! The noodles were a bit on the sweet side, which I rather liked, with a generous assortment of fish and seafood toppings.
Great service--the manager who assisted us was very accommodating and looked genuinely eager to serve. (You know how when people are obviously tired, they paste a smile that looks fake? She was not at all like that, and I have so much respect for her because she smiled at us every time we called out a request--and all this despite her being pregnant [kudos to her!] and taking down successive orders while somehow managing to seat customers one after another.) Moreover, our dimsum was served about 15 minutes (as promised) after she called out our order, and the rest of our dinner followed in 5-10 minutes (despite the rest of the tables being full). The servers were also polite, cheerful, and prompt to respond to our requests (e.g., for water refill, or for additional orders).
Highly recommended. Will definitely go back!
I love the Taro puffs and the Beef Brisket Noodles. Paired with Asado Siopao, Beef Brisket is the ultimate recovery food. Other recommendations are: Pepper Spareribs, Taosi Spareribs with Chicken Feet, Lemon Chicken, and Kutsay Spring Rolls. Try their ricebowls if you feel like treating yourself to single portion Chinese fare.

My sister-in-law who's working overseas came home a couple of weeks ago and we ate at Luk Yuen. I remember my husband and I with my mother-in-law already ate here years ago but I wasn't able to record it as I didn't know much about food reviews back then. Haha! Anyway, now let me share with you my thoughts about this restaurant.
I like that they revamped the place. It's more appealing to the eyes. With the food, they're okay for me I just got disappointed with the Chicken in Lemon Sauce since the chicken has too much flour, and the Beef with Ampalaya. The ampalaya empowered the whole dish, made everything bitter. I love their peppercorn spareribs though! It was cooked nicely and the meat was really tender!

Was craving for some Chinese food when I chanced upon Luk Yuen. it's always full when I pass by from doing the groceries so I decided to try it out one time.
They offered a lot of choices in their menu, a bit too pricey especially that I was dining alone. Good thing is that they offered bento dishes that included The dish that I wanted to order.
I asked for the Lemon Chicken bento that came with Miso Soup, Pancit Canton, Rice and a sticky dessert. The lemon chicken was delicious, the Miso soup was good also and the dessert. The pancit canton was a bit bland and dry so I didn't get to finish it.
I also ordered Hakaw, which was one of the best I've ever tasted. Almost at Php 200 a pop (could pass up as a meal somewhere) but was definitely worth it.
Service was slow considering that I was seated in front of the cashier slash bar. It took about 3-5 mins of raising my hands before someone would notice.
I think it's best if you dine as a group in Luk Yuen so you can split the hefty price tag. If you like comfort Chinese food, you'll like Luk Yuen.
This is the to-go place for a cheap and good good with my guy. We usually order their taro puff because it's the bomb! Their braised beef bowl rice is not good enough the price. Really disappointed with that.
Comfort food for me and my hubby. The fried noodles are a staple and always eaten with hakaw dumplings. It was the first time i tried their fried taro and i must say it was a pleasantly different experience - not your usual dimsum. They could take it easy on the MSG but then again, its something you expect with chinese food.
I will need to come back here as I was not able to hold myself from eating as soon as the food got served so I have no food shots. It took a fair amount of waiting but I got to enjoy sipping on their iced tea which had a good hint of mango nectar and calamansi juice to it. I am now wondering whether I prefer NP or Luk Yuen for their beef and tendon. NP has more flavor but Luk Yuen's has bigger portions. It would really be unfair to compair. I first got a taste of Luk Yuen back in their old Greenbelt store but they had more Chinese customers back then than now, wonder why. Still, good food.
This is one restaurant that upholds the perfect chinese feels of chinese food. My taste buds got intimate with the hakaw served hot and moist, the beef brisket and wanton noodles was comfort food for my soul and the beef was so tender i saved it for my last bite, service was kinda slow (i think because we were there 10:15am and they have just opened.)
I love this restaurant. Good beef wanton soup and congee. I love their seafood rolls which is shirmps rolled in seaweeds and deep fried, reall y good. Ha kaw is really good too. Fried wantons with yangchow rice is good too.
I am not really into Chinese food but this restaurant made me love such. Their dumplings are so good. Their soups and even the viands. The noodles. Everything! The staff are accommodating too. I can't comment about the price because it was free when I ate here. My college bff's parents treated me. Haha! I am indeed lucky. But I will really love to come back here! And have a better Chinese food experience :)
First time to try Luk Then and it didn't dissapoint. My tastebuds. I like Kind Dao Pork with Egg Noodles and Vegetable Dumplings with Shrimp. What I like most about what we ordered was the Chicken Bento because of its Lemon Sauce. I really live infusions specially the fruity flavor in sauces. :) Snowball for dessert was a surprise. Will not spoil why so you should try it.
For me, Luk Yuen is definitely one of the best places to have congee. I really like the pork bola-bola congee here. Aside from the congee, their rice toppings are also good. I love the Sweet and Sour Prawn Dumpling Rice and Spareribs wiith Chicken Feet Rice Toppings.
This is the place to eat after an hour or so in the supermarket since this Chinese restaurant is located inside the Cash and Carry supermarket. It offers simple and tried/tested Chinese dishes, dimsum, congee and noodle soups to quickly turn your hunger into joy.
Very tasty chinese food, nice service, delectable desserts, no wifi awww :( but still the deliciousness of the food will amaze you and you'll keep coming back for more! You should visit if you have time and money to spare. I'm half Chinese and half Filipino and I totally recommend too go there. Snowballs anyone!
Luk yuen has a nice service i like the food there,it's delicious i like the desserts much more that is my 3rd favorite resturant in the world you should go there if you have some time eat there for lunch or for dinner
Bring your children too eat there. I recommend that you eat there
An old favorite of mine. When I was younger my father would always buy me and my sister Luk Yuen's Lapu-Lapu Fillet Congee w/ Fresh egg and Fried Wonton when we're sick. It's our family's version of chicken soup. To this day I crave that congee when I'm feeling a bit under the weather, "Fish Congee for the Soul" if you may.
It isn't a fancy place but you always know what you're getting, and there's comfort in the familiar. Must try dim sum are their hakao, radish cake, taro puff, chicken veggie bun, chicken feet w/ chili, and dumplings in hot chili.
Their main course dishes are good too and it's affordable to boo. Luk Yuen, apparently pronounced without the "U", is one of my go to comfort dim sum restaurants in Manila.
