There are a lot of Korean restaurants in Manila but very few of them retain the quality control you will find here. From the appetizers to the meat, all are better here than in your typical 'authentic' restaurant.

Not familiar with the names of the meat that we ordered, but definitely, It is worth a try, though still expensive. Their meats are definitely way better than those being served at typical unlimited korean restaurant. It is a plus for me that they did the cooking. When it comes to side dishes, I can say that I still prefer those being served on unlimited korean restaurants. They were more delicious.

Ye-San Teokgalbi, Haemul Pa Jeon were delicious as well!

After eating, they served us a drink. Not sure if this is tea, but I don't like it because it tasted like cinnamon.

Overall, I think this is a great experience and the staff are approachable. The place is spacious as well.

It's better than any common samgyupsal places. If you really want to taste the authentic samgyup, this is one of the places i would recommend.

Eat in Bornga if you're after more fresh and quality meats because their dishes are legit. The place is spacious and well-ventilated, good for bigger gatherings. No all-you-can-eat option here because they're after the quality. I got to sample a lot of the dishes and although I wish they had more banchan, I'm pretty happy with what they have to offer overall!

One of our favorite Korean restaurants.

This isn't your typical samgyupsal place. This is a legit Korean restaurant. The food is high quality and the service is top notch. I go here so often that they already know me. 😅

Unlike other samgyupsal places, the meat here are fresh, not frozen, so the flavors are still intact and it gives the meat a better texture. They also have a wide variety of leaves to wrap your meat in, not just green lettuce. If you combine your leaves, it would give the wrap a different flavor and texture which enhances the flavor even more.

The experience is really reminiscent of my lunch in Korea with my cousins, specially the cinnamon tea at the end. ❤️

There's so much I could say about Bornga but it's better for you to just go there and experience it.

You might think, not another Korean restaurant!  Yes, I tried another Korean restaurant but this one is different.  Because this has been established by Chef Baek Jong Won.  And who is he you might ask?  He is one of the famous chefs in South Korea!  I can't believe he established a restaurant here in the Philippines!

The food was good! Seasoning on the meat was great, and it sure is not your cheap Korean beef that you get at those overrated Korean BBQ Buffets. Choice of appetisers not that impressive and seems that the servers didn’t want to serve it to us as much. Selection of greens in this restaurant is great! Lettuce is fresh! Something that other K-BBQs overlook. Servers could definitely be more welcoming. Bibimbap portion was smaller than usual, the amount of rice was... eh.

Bornga is managed by a korean and so you can expect that the quality is maintained. I have a lot of korean friends who visit this place regularly. Splurge a little on quality beef and the rest of the side dishes would compensate it. But seriously get the samgyupsal and beef strips and doenjang or kimchi soup! Plus add some soju.

If you’re looking for an authentic Korean restaurant that has the same flavor as what they offer in other countries, this is the place you’re looking for. They aim to stay true to their natural flavors. Bornga has been offering authentic Korean food for 5 years already here in Alphaland, Makati.

Another places to go to for Korean Food Trip. Bornga is located at 2nd Flr of Alphaland, Makati near The Columns and Makati Fire Station. Its location is very accessible either you are from Makati Ave or Gil Puyat. This is also their first store in the Philippines while other branches located in China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and Japan.

Bornga is famous with their authentic samgyupsal. First on the list is Woo Samgyeopsal (P490.00) (my favorite). One of their original creations. It was flavorful because it was marinated with special Bom-Ga’s sauce, and tasted well. I love how they served the lettuce and the sides (from fresh lettuce, Soybean Paste, Salad, Kimchi, Radish Dish and many more).

You may also try Mansinchang Samgyeopsal (mild flavor), Mansinchang Samgyeopsal Soy Sauce Flavor and Mansinchang Samgyeopsal (Spicy Flavor) for just P390 each.

Next on the list, Dwaeji Gochujang Barbecue Jaeong-sik. Sautéed pork in a korean spicy sauce placed on a hot plate. A special lunch set meal is composed with 8 different side dishes.

Another outstanding menu is their staple Korean dish “Jap Chae”. The serving was good for 2 to 3 pax. I liked how they cooked it. Bornga’s Jap Chae is not oily, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. A must-try menu!

Same with Soban, Bornga’s Haemul Pa Jeon (a plate of Korean pancake stuffed with squid, shrimp, mussels and green onion) was not oily, the servings was huge and perfect as appetizer.

For those people who love eating spicy, you must try their Haemul Tteok-jjim. A large spicy bowl of seafood such as fresh prawn, crab, mussel, squid, octopus, fish cake and vegetable such as bamboo sprout, mushroom and cabbage.

If you are a big fan of Cold Noodles, you may try their Bornga Naengmyeon – a bowl of noodles with cold broth, topped boiled egg, sliced of beef. This is my least favorite dish of Bornga same thing with the Spicy Bibim Naengmyeon.

Overall, I had an enjoyable experience with Bornga.

Bornga maybe a place alienated to the mall crowd but this Korean joint is what I'm seeking more these days.Owned by Koreans a franchise of Bornga Korea with sister branches all over Asia,I've noticed an influx of Korean patrons are a plenty which an indication of something good.Though this BBQ restaurant does not serve buffet type meals however took pride in having real and authentic taste from the Korean peninsula.

Classic repertoire of Korean dishes were served.

Jap Chae stir fried Korean staple noodle dish.Well cooked nice flavor.

Bibim Naengmyeon buckwheat noodles in cold broth with gochujang paste top with poached egg.I like the texture and quality of the noodles, the indecorous refreshing broth and the heat supplied by the red paste elevated this dish to a new magnitude, flavors of complexity made it likeable.

Bornga Naengmyeon mild rejuvanating cold tangy broth with nice chewy buckwheat noodles,a dish usually served during the summer months in Korea just like its spicy counterpart.Great palate calmer if you've eaten a lot of rich and flavorful items.

Dwaeji Gochujang Barbecue (Lunch Special)- fire grilled pork then incorporated in a beautiful spicy pork. Not overwhelmingly spicy, meat was tender , a crowd favorite .

Haemul Pajeon traditional Korean seafood pancake with lots of scallions, the batter is very good.I love the authenticity of this dish.

Haemul Tteo Jjim an ensemble of tteok(rice cake sticks), small octopus, mussels ,julienned sweet potatoes and clams in a rich spicy delightful sauce. The tteok's firmness made it my favorite ingredient of the dish, the red sauce flavor and level of heat was spot on.

Meat cuts of:

Woo Samgyup- Chef Paik Jong Won's patented recipe of beef slivers in their own marinade.Well cooked and seasoned meat ,very good eaten as it is or wrapped inside lettuce with some banchan .

Mansinchang Samgyeopsal ,Mansinchang Samyeopsal in Soy Sauce and Spicy Samyeopsal ,pork belly cuts in a variety of marinades done on a table top BBQ grill. All were good it depends on what type of palate you're leaning into.

The impressive quality of ingredients especially the different variety of greens, authentic , uncompromising quality of ingredients and generous cuts of the meat, dazzled me.Service is very good ,staff are friendly, there is a function room is available for parties and private events.

It reached my happy zone,I rarely give 5 but this time I think it deserved to have that rating.

It was a rainy morning that time 11:00 AM but our love for food is stronger. It is located on the second floor of Alphaland Makati (Bel-air). The place is spacious and clean. The location is a bit off since it is located on the corner of the second floor though it can be ideal for some since it is not crowded, you can enjoy privacy. I like how they keep an informative note on every table by giving customers instructions on how to eat their patented Woo Samgyup.

Bornga is not your usual Korean restaurant. They don't have a buffet. Bornga promises to serve the same food and the same taste as they are served in Korea.

Service is okay. Every guest is welcomed in unison by their staff. They were very assisting and were able to answer our queries. They even grilled the meat for us. As they prepare the dishes, they first served the leafy vegetables and side dishes. There are different types of greens that were served. Note: you can see along the hallway that the green vegetables they are using were chilled to keep its freshness.

We have tried some of the dishes:
Jap Chae - Stir-fried pork and vegetables with glass noodles. It was savory. I like it.

Dwaeji Gochujang Barbecue (Lunch Special) - Spicy pork fire-grilled to create a flavorful, fiery stir-fry dish. It was tender and it's rich in flavor. It is not that spicy. It's delicious and it is one of my favorites. It's one of the must-try dishes in Bornga.

Haemul Pajeon - a bit toasted outside but it is soft inside. The taste is herby. In my opinion, It should be eaten with the dip. It is good for those who like veggies.

Bornga Naengmyeon - it was served cold as it should be. Not that I didn't like it, maybe it's just new to me eating cold noodles. I guess it is good to eat it to beat the summer heat but the temperature is cool that time (it was raining).

Bibim Naengmyeon - Not that I didn't like it, maybe it's just new to me eating cold noodles. Among the two Naengmyeon that they served, the spicier one was okay for me.

Haemul Tteok-jjim - a dish of rice cake rods, seafood, veggies with a spicy thick sauce. I tried to eat a rice cake rod, spiciness was tolerable. It will be too spicy for me if I eat more. I wish the rice cake rod is softer.

Woo Samgyup - One of my favorites. Chef Paik Jong Won's patented recipe of thinly-sliced beef seasoned in BORNGA's secret marinade. High quality. It was flavorful. It's one of the must-try dishes in Bornga.

We also had samgyeopsal in 3 different marinades namely Mansinchang Samgyeopsal, Samgyeopsal in Soy Sauce, Samgyeopsal in Spicy Sauce (original, soy sauce, and spicy sauce) and I prefer the ones with soy sauce and spicy marinade because I find the original one plain tasting.

Price ranges are on the high end as it doesn't justify the quantity, but they're all good in quality and the taste is there. Thank you Bornga Makati and ZomatoPH for having us.

Bornga Alphaland Makati Place 11am July 17, 2018 FMU

Bornga is one of those Korean BBQ restaurants that is not an eat all you can buffet.

Quantity : Each order can be good for 1 to 2 people.

Quality & Taste : The veggies were fresh, clean & crispy. For the ready to eat foods that were spicy, all were mild to medium level of spiciness for me. The raw beef & pork were both fresh and were also tender & delicious when cooked and had no unpleasant aftertaste. The flavors were just right and not overpowering. The cold noodles had a pleasant taste and the noodles were cooked just right but I am one of those that prefers hot noodles. The hot noodles served was spicy but not too much. The veggie pancake had a mild flavor, lots of veggies and is quite filling. The spicy seafood had camote, rod shaped rice cake & some veggies plus crab and some shellfish and other seafoods. The taste was ok but the mussel I ate had an unpleasant taste. It probably needed more soaking time or it was a bad batch. The other ready to eat foods were ok too.

Price & Overall : The raw pork & beef were the stars among the food I was able to try (as it should be). For the cooked food, all were ok except for the mussel I ate. The prices can be expensive if you are going for quantity. Overall rating is above average.

The best authentic Korean dishes are offered by Bornga (본가 ). Thanks to Chef Paik for the original Korean taste. Its main restaurant is located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea and has recently opened its sole branch in the Philippines - which is located in Alphaland Makati Place. Vegetable lovers (like me) will surely love their unlimited side dish. Ambiance is good. It is not smokey unlike other Korean BBQ restaurants. Service is fine but needs improvement. Must try!

It was an all around dining experience! It's expensive, but you get what you pay for.The patented sauce is everything! There's unlimited refills on side dishes, leafy greens and tea. Staff are very attentive and won't mind giving first timers a walk through of their menu. It would've been 5 stars if there were more vegetarian-friendly options aside from Japchae.

Try the Bulgogi and for the samgyeopsal, there's a minimum order of 2. With that, best to eat here with a group.

A little pricey but meat and veggies are fresh. Service is ok and the attendants need to be called a few times before they attend to you, maybe because there are a lot of tables being served. By far the best korean restaurant or korean bbq place i’ve been to. Offers traditional food complete with my favorites unlike others which only offers the basic foods like samgyupsal. Although it is a bit pricey but for that authentic taste and the range of food in the menu plus the service and cleanliness of the place. I’d say it is worth it. A must try

They say they offer Original Korean taste, and you get JUST THAT! The resto is packed with Koreans and locals and there's a waiting list so make sure you book a table online. The exhaust doesn't really take all the smoke away so be warned.

For the food, it was superb! A little bit pricey compared to other Korean restaurants but its worth my money. They give a generous platter of vegetables and side dishes which you can refill. We ordered kimchi jjigae which was great, 2 platters of samgyeupsal, woo samgyup and japchae which was more than enough for 2. Everything was delightful! The side dishes were on point as well, i can live with the kimchi and fishcake with rice.

Service was prompt, less waiting time and servers were fast and attentive to your needs but expect a little bit of chaos when the resto is packed.

Will definitely comeback and highly recommended.

Booked this place twice via Zomato. Very convenient and responds immediately. Upon arriving, everything was ready for us. Hassle-free indeed.

The first time I was here, I was immediatly won by by their fresh veggies and tender meats. Everything is flavorful and tasty. The price is a bit high, but for authentic Korean food, it's worth it. That's why I came back for a second time, and will definitely come back for more. Their Woo Sam Gyup is the best. Make this your must-order!

The only thing I would be able to criticize is even with the fume extraction chute, the place is still filled with smoke. Otherwise everything is A-ok.

I enjoyed eating in this Korean restaurant. They offer variety of side dishes and meats for barbecue. Both in reasonable price and flavorful taste. Just be prepared about the smoke of barbecue because even there are exhaust in every table, it will still spread to the surroundings. This place is i must say an authentic one. Many Koreans come to eat. As it gets to the dinner time, around 7PM, many people come to eat and it gets very crowded. Staff are so nice and accommodating. Bornga is an excellent Korean barbecue resto with comfortable interiors.

For our grilling, we got 3 types of beef. Best was the Yangnyeom Galbi - marinated ribs - this was ooohh sooo yummy! Woo samgyup - sliced beef brisket- was tasty especially with the food special Bornga dipping sauce. Kkot Sal - tender unmarinated boneless beef was rather bland and needed to be dipped in the sauce.

Loved the salad and cold soup that came with the grilled meat. The banchan though was not as extensive or tasty as in some other Korean barbecue restos.

Loved the Dak Geajang- tender chicken in a spicy broth with vegetables.

Finished the meal with a bottle of Bokbunja- raspberry wine!

One of the underrated Korean Resto! If you want Samgyupsal, this is your place! A very well-thought-of Korean Bbq style of grilling! Very unique! I like the coconut charcoal they use, the exhaust pipe they bring down so to avoid smoke! Just order beef or thinly sliced pork for your samgyupsal, all veggies and side dishes are unlimited! 1,000 pesos can be shared by 4 people already! the service & their staff are really nice! Sayang, the Manager named Jun left na! He knows his regular customers well! And he even attends to you to personally serve you! Unlike other Managers in some restos, they make "pasa" & utos sa crew! This is one of the best Korean restaurants in Manila.
BBQ is awesome, Stew is perfect, Appetizer and Cold Noodles good enough.
This place is pretty authentic, the marination, sauce, and dip for BBQ is just like back home in Korea.
Only thing bad is that this place is expensive, but its worth every peso.
You won't go wrong with the Woo Sam Gyup, it is so good you will cry.
They also give generous amount of vegetable and the mixed vegetables that you eat with the BBQ is perfect.

One of the best Korean places to serve good meat quality and flavorful marinates! Enjoyed every bit of the experience here.. Ordered the Woo Samgyup and Yangyum galbi.. They're both so juicy and tender. As is!! The meat itself is the prize winner here! Soooo soft 🐽 At the same time they give you loadddsss of veggies, always refilling when needed or before you need any more! 5/5!! Look for Ella, she was our server and she cooked pretty well and service was awesome!

The only thing I'd discourage you from ordering is the Pa Jeon. Not so good and recommendable.. So I'm giving them a 2/5 for it.

Went here for lunch with my family. We didn't reserve a table but fortunately we were gladly accommodated.

It was our second time at the resto so we decided to have some Samgyupsal since we ordered Dolsot Bibimbap and Kimchi Jjigae during our first time.

We ordered:
Woo Samgyup (marinated beef strips)
Mansinchang Samgyeopsal in Spicy Sauce(Pork)
Haemul Dduk Jjim(Spicy seafood with rice cakes)

The grilled meats are awesome! It comes with sides of kimchi, salad greens, and other pickled vegetables. The lettuce are refillable and the banchans too. And they really use coals and they clean their grills.

For the seafood, it really is spicy! I love spicy food but this one kind of numbs your lips specially when its piping hot! My sister loved the crabs and shrimp, I liked the rice cake. Lol! The baby octopus is one piece only so we shared. It costs P550 which is for me, its kind of pricey because there are lots of thinly sliced potatoes and cabbage and stuff than the seafood. :( but it's okay, it was still good. ;)

The service is fantastic considering there's no service charge!

After the sumptuous lunch, we had Melona! Yay!

For sure we will be back for their Woo Samgyup and try their Japchae and Pork Jjigae.

So happy to find a go-to Korean resto near my place!

I had lunch here with my officemates, on a rather lean weekday. We arrived quite early, so there weren't a lot of customers yet. Around lunchtime the place was almost full with people---Koreans as well as Filipinos who want to have Korean food.

The place has a spacious dining area, and the interiors kept to a minimalist, almost-homey feel. We had a few orders of Samgyupsal (Masinchang, mostly), Jap Chae/Chapchae, Dwaeji Gochujang Barbecue Jeong-sik (with its different side dishes!), and Haemul PaJeon (akin to an omelette or crab cake).

I enjoyed my meal. The marinated meat (Masinchang) was flavorful after being grilled (on the table, by a server). The various greens and side dishes (kimchi, spring onions, peanut sauce, etc) made each bite an entirely different experience. The omelette was rather good. Although, as a whole, I didn't quite enjoy my meal compared to my experience in other Korean restaurants.

Service was quite good, except for that one instance that we asked for the greens platter to be refilled and had to follow up twice or thrice for it to be returned to our table.

Went there last Saturday. I ordered Woo Samgyup, Kkot Sal and Modum Yachae Gui as a side dish.

The Woo Samgyup set was overwhelming. It came with various vegetables, sauces, kimchi, raddish kimchi, and a bowl of salad. The vegetables were fresh and flawless. But I was sure they have rinse them in water properly. The beef slices were also fresh and very juicy. The portion was good for two to three persons.

The Kkot Sal was also fresh. The portion was good for two to three persons. It was tender and juicy. I like their special sauce very much. To be frank, I never like Korean or Japanese sauce before. Either they are too sweet or too sour.

The Modum Yachae Gui made it complete.
They also served a lot of complimentaries such as seaweed soup as an appetizer, a cup of hot tea and a cup of cold ginger tea. The ginger tea was fantastic. I also ordered their fresh mango juice.

What made all things special was because the restaurant assigned a staff to grill it for us. They also have exhaust fan with hose in every table so the restaurant will not be overwhelmed with smoke from the grill pot. The staffs were also very attentive.

Been a terrific time there. Enjoy every moment there.

Price can be a little steep but the food delivers. They offer a number of free good appetizers and their meat are tasty. Ambiance is that of a typical Korean resto and service time is tolerable.

Bornga: Original Korean Taste is one of the few restaurants currently housed in the new Alphaland Makati Place. People who know me understand that Korean food is not my favorite cuisine. It's probably because I don't like the taste of the popular Korean Kimchi that people are always raving about. I wouldn't eat it even if I won a lottery that would give me a lifetime supply of this dreadful dish (I'm sorry Kimchi lovers).

Popular Korean restaurants such as Bulgogi Brothers and K-pub, in my opinion, were also very disappointing. In light of this, I do try to steer clear of anything Korean unless I have no choice.

I was dragged into dining at Bornga and, surprisingly, I really loved the food. It's the first Korean restaurant I'd ever want to go back to. Here's why I think Bornga has some pretty noteworthy Korean dishes.

4 guys and 3500PHP later. Food was awesome, it kept coming in quick succession, one after the next. Staff are attentive, decor is ok, great place to go with friends and chill out around tasty food. Clean, fresh, no BS - they deliver what they sell.

Worth checking out.

This place is pretty popular as this is always filled with both foreign and local employees whenever we’d come here for lunch. Once you've tasted their food, you'd know why! I love everything this Korean resto has to offer but if I have to choose, I’d recommend their Dolsot Bibimbap, Jap Chae, seafood pancake and their Samgyeopsal. If you do not feel like grilling your own meat, their friendly staff can do it for you. :)

It has been a while since I was last able to eat at a Korean restaurant known for its samgyupsal. So I was excited to dine at Bornga after some colleagues of mine recommended it quite adamantly. Reservations for dinner are apparently a necessity because it is already quite popular despite being in what I consider to be a rather unassuming location on the second floor of the relatively new Alphaland building.

Design-wise, the restaurant it quite spacious and is definitely equipped to accommodate both small and large groups. Each table has its own grill and respective air vent for when cooking. Tables are separated by wooden dividers. It is bright and bustling. I noticed that despite the high ceilings though, it was actually quite noisy - but then again, I contribute that more to the extremely boisterous group that was sitting next to us.

Service-wise, there were several waiters running around but it got a bit confusing as to which one was our tables' specific server. We were able to place our orders right away but getting refills of side-dishes, tea, etc. during our meal was pretty hectic. It was a little bit more stressful than it should have been - especially when you are trying to take full advantage of the fact that the side-dishes are unlimited.

Food-wise, the presentation was quite impressive. We were given all our individual sauces, of course. Next were all of our little bowls of side dishes that were probably about 7 types all of good quality. The vegetables were lined up on long trays for convenience - making it look like we had lovely gardens on our table. A complimentary cold seaweed soup was given to us as well, it had a very interesting vinegar taste but I found it too sour.

For our main dishes, we got two orders of Chapchae and one Pa Jeon (Korean pancake) as heavier starters then got about two orders of Pork Samgyeopsal and three of the Beef. The meat we ordered was cooked for us by the server at our table. We also got a few bottles of Soju and Rice Wine.

Chapchae
One order was probably good for four people. It was very tasty and had just the right amount of sweetness and flavor. A recommended classic.

Pa Jeon
Also a very big serving size that was good for about six people or so. It was nice and hot when arriving at our table. It had a spicy and sweet sauce for dipping and the flavors perfectly complimented what it was - a vegetable pancake.

Pork and Beef Samgyeopsal
I do not know which specific ones on the menu were ordered but the serving sizes per order seemed fair enough. One order was probably good for three to four people. They were both very tasty but I loved the beef more because it was so tender and easy to eat when wrapped in lettuce and mixed with other side-dishes. (Did not get any photos of them because they were devoured quickly. Haha.)

It was a very filling meal because I could not help but get myself a bowl of rice At the end of dinner, we ended up paying about P780 per head for about nine people. For the quantity and quality of the meat we ordered that was indeed expected - still, it was delicious food. Also the ventilation was great because we didn't end up smelling like food when we left.

UPDATE: October 2015

I came back here for Sunday lunch with my family and found that when it is not so crowded, Bornga is indeed a fanstastic Korean restaurant. When dining here in a smaller group, the experience is much better. So I have upped their score to a 4.5 for the quality of their food and service plus that their ventilation really is good.

I work in Ortigas but I was sent to a training at RCBC Plaza last Thursday. The fiancé was in the area so we decided to have lunch.

Food - we literally had no idea what Bornga is and what it serves but we went ahead and try it. As we were seated, Aki our server gave the menu. We were looking for meals that have rice in it but we only found bibimbap (HA-HA) so we skipped that and looked for something spicy instead. We ordered the Jigae Spicy stew. Since we didn't have any idea on what to order, Aki recommended that we order 2 barbecue meats for grilling so we can avail of the refillable appetizers. The appetizers were excellent in taste! I got full just by eating all of it. Also, with the 2 meats for grilling you can have the samgyeopsal experience where you wrap the meat around all those appetizers in front of you. The 1 hr lunch became 2 hours cause it felt like we were in a buffet setting. We keep wanting more!

Ambience and staff - it was really clean and organized. It was big and spacious enough so even when it was packed you can still eat in peace. The servers were accommodating and were quick to respond. Aki our server was very friendly and gave a quick background about the restaurant and how to eat what was served on our table.

All in all I loved the experience. The fiance and I will go back this week!

Bornga is a Korean restaurant located just behind our school! Isn't that amazing? During our first visit, it was actually an unexpected lunch since we were just supposed to check out the place.

But the manager talked to us and she managed to sales talk us, saying that they'll help us chose what to order so it wouldn't be heavy for a student's wallet.

The crew are also kind and alert whenever we needed something.

It was also a fun experience to eat samgyupsal ala-kdrama style and not to mention the unlimited side dishes!

Well I just wish they have unli-meat too but oh well.

About the ambiance....well it looks modern and they play Korean music (sadly not kpop) but overall staying here was a fun experience

This place is great! We ordered their bestseller beef (i forgot the name but it had one whole page on the menu), samgyeopsal, chapchae, seafood pancake.

I prefer the beef over the pork dish but still good. The chapchae was also yummy; it wasn't overly sweet.

The best part eating here is that the servers cook the meat for you so everyone can east at the same time :) All the side dishes are refillable, I liked their salad most :)

There were also a lot of Korean nationals eating here so that's a good sign for any local cuisine restaurant.

Dining at BORNGA was a pretty faultless experience. I highly recommend this place for the good food, and exceptional service. Also, the interior is lustrous, with clean lines and simple furniture - it gives you a comfortable-homey feel. It was indeed a lovely evening with my Mom.

Really good woo samgyup which is also their specialty. Kimchi is not so spicy and also a bit watery which makes it delicious. You should also try their Jap Chae and Bibimbap. Service is excellent. Easily one of my favorite Korean Restaurants!

We had the bestseller galbi beef & prime samgyopsal pork BBQs, chapchae, and another pre-cooked pork dish. I only enjoyed the beef which was very tender and goes very well with their bbq sauce. Their prime pork bbq tasted ok but was a bit thick so was kinda tough and chewy. I should order the thinner, cheaper version next time. The other pre-cooked bbq with a special red sauce was uninteresting. The chapchae could be better but the serving was huge (maybe serves up to 5 pax). We were given a simple pajeon which was on the house. Nice. I also like that they use imported coal which adds to the great BBQ flavor. The complimentary cold ginger tea served after the meal was great.

The quality of their free kimchi, lettuce (and other veggie wrappings), scallions and other add-ons for the meat wrappings were excellent. There is a house rule though that one must order a minimum of 2 bbq dishes per table regardless of how many persons are dining. This is probably due to the expense of the imported coal they use. I will go back for their beef and maybe their spicy soups.

Prices are very reasonable at about P500/head.

Bornga's food is good. Very attentive waiter (Hi Mr. Ernie). We spent 1400 for 4. I prefer the beef over the pork since the pork tends to be chewy. And i like the salad. Ill definitely go back here for korean food. The place is nice too.

I have always been fascinated by Korean cuisine. I find their food healthy since most of the dishes are either wrapped or mixed with vegetables. Bornga is one of the newest restaurant in town that serves authentic Korean cuisine. It is located at the 2nd floor of Alphaland Building just behind Columns Condominium. Must try here are the grilled beef or pork which comes with a long tray of veggies. There's even a guide on the paper mat how to wrap the meat with the leaf. Each table has an assigned waiter who will assist in grilling the meat. After the meal, complimentary cold ginger tea will be served. Overall, it was a nice dining experience. Food and service were great.

My love for korean food grew really big especially this year. Lucky to have found a really good place, and it's just across the street of our office (or across the street across the street! Haha).
Just like Ye Dang, you order the meat, they give you free side dishes and lettuce. But really, you'll be surprised on how it taste differently to all other korean restaurants... and it's really, really good! They have a special sauce where you dip your meat, they serve cold soup, they also serve salad with a very yummy dressing, and lots and lots and lots of different leaves that you can use to wrap your meat.
The place is big and clean, and they have very polite staff.

Korean cuisine is my comfort food ever since my friend introduced it to me back in college. I have since been exploring the Metro for new Korean restaurants and the latest discovery I made was in Makati. Alphaland mall in Malugay to be exact.
Bornga just recently opened this year in Philippines, as they have a lot of outlets on different countries, and is only one of the few restaurants that are open in Alphaland. The mall still has a lot of stores and restaurants that aren’t open so there aren’t a lot of people there yet. From the outside, Bornga looks like a really fine dining Korean restaurant but the prices are actually really affordable. The staff were also very friendly and as one might expect, they would greet you in Korean as soon as you walk into the restaurant.
The staff are friendly and even have smart-looking uniforms. We ordered the samgyeopsal and the masinchang samgyeopsal. It was a very standard Korean menu but they give a lot more vegetables compared to the others. Aside from the grilled meat that we ordered, whay I really love about Korean restaurants are their complimemtary side dishes. I really like their pickled radish and the red bean paste that I requested for a refill twice for the both. The staff also take it upon themselves to grill the meat for you on your table without you asking them which is very convenient. They also gave free scrambled egg which a few other Korean restaurants also give. Overall, it was a good experience since the place is really clean and the staff are very friendly and prompt in getting your requests. Perfect for a Korean dining experience!
