Staff was accommodating and entertained all of our queries. Ordered quite a lot, I guess that's why food took quite a while but once it was served, we understood why. All plates were beautifully curated and food tasted equally delicious. Although, honestly, prices were a bit expensive relative to the size of the dishes.
Extra thankful for the complementary Arroz con Leche for a friend who was celebrating her birthday at the time.
Their sea urchin risotto was truly something else. Quite
pricey but the dish was duper flavorful and
Comforting. The richness of the risotto was balanced out by the seared raw tuna. Salmon aburi was also good but the serving size is quite small for its price.
Never disappoints when it comes to food. We ordered the Salmon Maki, Grilled Ebi, Truffle oil Edamame, Chahan(japanese fried rice) and the Japan Sencha Tea. The Salmon maki was my favorite and one of the best I've had in the metro. We had a good Sunday brunch with a nice view. But the service could be better to make it a 5/5.
This fusion restaurant is a must-try. Their dishes are so flavorful, I’m confident none of them would disappoint. I can tell that they’ve put great thought on all that comes from their kitchen. I enjoyed their Miso Kurobota and Seared Tuna with Sea Urchin Risotto immensely. We also ordered the Nikkei Buta Buns and Parmesan Scallops. The items are a bit pricey and the serving portions are enough for one person, maybe two. But their worth it. Service was slow though when we dined and we waited almost 35-40min for our food to be served. Maybe it was just a bad day? I hope not though. I’d sure go back to try their other items
We love salmon so we ordered salmon maki and salmon tempura. The salmon was fresh and came in generous servings. We also tried their caramel dessert perfect with their coffee. We'd love to come back and try other dishes.
Had a good dinner with family 🙂
Always love keep coming back in this restaurant because of its taste and ambiance, I would always recommend everything in the menu because it is a must! 🥰
We went for happy hours and maki, delightful food and fresh raw fish, nice decor with good service, good place for hang out with friends after work, will go back soon.
Friendly service but expect expensive food in very small portions.

Food is always good! With great ambiance and good chill music to boot! Thanks Paolo our server for the superb service!
Kudos to Paolo for the great service!
Everything tasted good! Great service also 😊
My second time to eat at Nikkei and I still loved every dish we ordered 💯 The risotto (tuna and uni) is a must try! The iced teas are good too. 😊
I recommend Nikkei if you prefer having a great quality japanese maki, ceviche or rolls. I have tried their different rolls and all tastes great. Their risotto is also very tasty and filling. They also have sake cocktails and other drinks that are mild and with great taste. Might not be a good place for large groups, but definitely great for intimate group bondinds. Staff are also friendly.
My friends and I had lunch here on a Saturday. Place wasn’t full so we were easily accommodated without reservations. A friend had the seared tuna with sea urchin risotto, another had the black cod with honey miso and 2 of us had the miso kurobuta. We also had the panko roll and aburi roll. All 4 of us tasted everything and we all liked everything! It doesn’t always happen that everyone enjoys all the dishes, so we were completely satisfied. We also asked for 2 orders of Chahan rice to be split into 3, and they accommodated our request. Service was good, too! Will be back!
P.S. We were in the ground floor, and an empty Coke can fell on my arm from the 2nd floor loft. The customers who dropped it didn’t even bother to apologize, but at least Nikkei apologized and gave our table a free dessert!
(Sorry, I didn’t take and save a lot of photos and only screengrabbed from my IG stories.)
We ate here for our Saturday dinner date and we’re impressed with the quality of the food. It’s really good. They gave us free dessert for posting photos on social media :)
Will go back here. Love both the service and their food offerings!
Love the Peruvian-Japanese fusion, you don't see that often here in Manila. Though a bit pricey, it is place I would definetely go to again.
Nikkei will always be love.. food still as great. No complaints. One of my favorite resto. Rockwell branch not as crowded as the podium branch. Ordered the duck all over again. A staple of mine :)
Food was superb! we ordered the salmon belly tempura, carilleras and panko. would definitely come back again and try the seared tuna with risotto. definitely value for food.
I've been wanting to try Nikkei since I work nearby. I had the chance last night and it did not disappoint.
The Green Ceviche is just light and refreshing. Those Grilled Ebi and Panko Rolls are treats in the mouth. And the Lomo Saltado is not just your ordinary tenderloin with vegetables; the taste is savory in every bite.
I also loved the interiors and the service was good. Thanks, Nikkei, for making last night nothing short of amazing. 💕
Order the Miso Salmon Roll. Ate 20 pcs in one seating. Definitely coming back here regularly. in addition to this, service is really good. They also provide free chips as appetizer. Lastly, request for Lucas as your server
The service was kinda slow and didn’t really have all our food at once, but the good food made up for it. Their sushi and risotto was to die for! Our server was very nice to top it all off :)
Been hearing a lot of good things about Nikkei, so when we finally got around to trying it.. it definitely did not disappoint! I liked the ambience, the service, and the food. A modern play on Japanese food without totally taking away its core. Enjoyed most of the dishes we ordered, but not really enough to say that I’d come back for them. Would probably come back to try their other dishes tho. :) Out of everything I’ve tried, I would say the ceviche would be a pass for me since I’ve had better kinilaw from local Filipino restaurants, but that’s just personal preference.
The server Lucas is the best in accommodating our needs. And the food especially the dessert is beyond my expectation. We will definitely come back to this rockwell branch. Worth the cost!
Good food. Price is pricy! But over all good!
Place nice decor :)
Our waitress was really helpful! She was actively giving suggestions about the food! Everything we had was great. The salmon sashimi was fresh. The rolls were also amazing! We got the Panko roll (not in the picture) and the Aburi roll. My favorite though was the seared tuna with uni risotto. 🤤🤤 10/10 would come back
Good service and good food! Lomo Saltado was excellent! Parking is not a problem. Will definitely recommend to friends!
thanks Lucas for The very friendly and efficient service.
We enjoyed very good Japanese Peruvian food! Their Lomo Saltado is tender—highly recommended. And service was quick. Will definitely be back.
So good! ❤️ we ordered their Aburi Roll, Sea Urchin Risotto, Black Cod, Chahan, and Miso Kurobuta. Easily one of the legit Japanese restos in Makati.
Kobe beef was really good, so was the risotto. The staff were also very accommodating. Overall a hreat experience. Will definitely come back to visit
Quality food and good for get together with friends and family. I’d highly recommend the seared tuna risotto and thw sashimi platter when you’re a group eating together.
The food was really good!!!!!!! Service was also great!!!!!!!!! We ordered the tuna risotto, chicken teriyaki, aburi sushi, and tres leches!
Ordered the Seared Tuna with Huancaína Risotto. Tuna was fresh and risotto portions were ample. Staff was very accommodating to present options and offers. Enjoyed using my Zomato Gold here! Will come back to try more dishes!
Food was superb! I always go for the seared tuna with sea urchin risotto whenever I’m here. Their sushi is super fresh too and the quality is great!
Service at Nikkei Rockwell is excellent. We were well attended and the ambience is a great place to catch up with friends. Their wagyu gyoza and aburi roll are the best! 💛 Must try!
Always a great time at Nikkei! One of my favorite Japanese-Peruvian restaurants in Manila. Food quality is consistent no matter how many times I go back.
Been here a couple of times. This has been a go-to place after school. From the ambience to the food, everything’s 5-star. Definitely your money’s worth!
Must-try:
Tuna Risotto
Salmon Teriyaki (You may even ask for extra teriyaki sauce)
Aburi Rolls 💯
One for the books! Have to go back again for their miso kurobota. Not to mention the 1+1 on food that they have. It was worth it all throughout
Good food and great service. Used our Zomato Gold. It applies to all items on the menu. We ordered the Salmon Aburi, Tuna Tartare, Risotto with Uni, and Ebi roll. Will definitely come back 👍🏻
Flavors explode together with the freshness of seafood. Feel of the place is up and up yet cozy. A good place for dinner, and a few drinks after. The waiters are attentive, with serving time just right. I Will go back.to the place.
We ordered Salmon and Tuna Sashimi and they did not disappoint. I also loved the Black Cod we ordered as well as the Pork Belly from the mains. 💙
Good food. Chicken teriyaki was delicious. THE TEMPURA was nice and crispy. I highly recommend this place. I would definitely come back. Would highly recommend!
I ordered the miso salmon roll, and the salmon portions were generous and fresh. The servers were friendly and efficient. The food was good and presented in an aesthetically pleasing fashion. I would come back. Thank you, Nikkei!
Really good food and service was friendly :))) the miso kurobuta was delicious and and was well garnished. The chairs were a bit hard but overall I loved the ambience. Definitely would recommend!
Awesome food as always. The fish and prawns used in the Chirashi I ordered were fresh and perfect. The Matcha Affogato was also a nice interpretation of an Italian Classic and was excellently presented, overall another great experience.
The food is fantastic! Our visit was a play of balanced flavor. Come here and be amazed, not only with good food, but with excellent service. Cheers to Nikkei!
We enjoyed the place. With great food, accommodating staff, awesome drinks, we will definitely come back here! I especially enjoyed the reverse free flow for drinks. Made me sooooo happy 🥰
The service was great and the food was amazing. Everything is very well thought of. Ambience is really nice as well, perfect for a date night.
Had an amazing and tummy-filling dinner in Nikkei. They serve fresh tuna alongside delicious risotto. The staff are very tentative as well. Would definitely come back!
Nice ambiance, lovely music, great interior design, and excellent food. Love the sashimi and aburi roll. My suggestion is to increase the available red wine (glass).
It's quite small place, not as packed as nikkei in rada street. Food quality n service was really good, always enjoying the japanese food, but this kind mixed japanese with peruvian is really something else, must try it !! 😁
Been eyeing this restaurant ever since and finally tried it for Father’s day lunch.
We ordered rolls, a few appetizers, and 2 main dish. Love the buta no kakuni and seared tuna risotto!
Nice cozy place. Outside seats are cool and windy. Food is excellent. Tuna mango roll and butano kakuni are good. Food are served quickly and presentation is superb.
Please look for girlie she will take care of you. Food and service is outstanding. Which is ofcourse what we look for in a restaurant. Thank you Nikkei!
Food is amazing as always. The risotto makes up for everything. I think your resto with the help of zomato gold filled up my tummy tonight. Good job guys!!!
Delicious seared tuna and uni mushroom risotto. The lomo saltado is very tender complimented by crispy golden french fries. Will definitely be back here to try the other food!
The staff are polite and friendly. The aburi roll and the miso kurobuta are a must! We also enjoyed the lomo saltado and the uni risotto. Will definitely be back!
The food is good. The service is great. The ambience is amazing! I will be back again for sure! When you visit here, you Must try the aburi roll.
The food was amazing! We especially loved the uni risotto and the aburi roll! The ambience of the restaurant was amazing and the staff were friendly, polite, and very accommodating! Will definitely be back and recommend to friends!
Always liked Nikkei Legaspi Village which is why I’ve eaten at the Rockwell Branch 2x. Still love their mains but a little iffy about some appetizers. Cocktails are great.
I ate here for the first time today and I am very impressed. Nikkei has really good food and great service as well. I will definitely come back!
Ordered the seared tuna with sea urchin risotto, panko aburi, tuna mango, salmon aburi, and miso salmon.

Food and service is great, especially the Seared Tuna with Sea Urchin Risotto. Ambiance is very romantic but also conducive to get-togethers with friends.
Food was really good, and with beautiful presentation too. Gyoza and seared tuna with sea urchin risotto were real winners. Would definitely keep coming back!
BEST UNI RISOTTO AND PANKO ROLL!!!!!!Recommended to reserve before visiting as they get full especially on weekends. Also really good service and worth your money.
Great place if you're taking someone out for dinner! Definitely a place to look for when you're in the mood for Japanese food.

Would definitely refer this to a friend. Will come back soon for their rolls!
Good food and good Service! Loved anything with wagyu! Definitely a must try dining place when around Rockwell! Great fusion of Japan and peruvian Cuisine
The risottos were great and tasty(special mention to the cheese risotto) since the kind of fusion it has isn't too bizarre. We also ordered one aburri roll which was okay.
Ambience is also nice.
Great food and service at Nikkei Rockwell. The Uni Risotto is a must order. Cocktails are delicious too. Great place to hang our with friends.
Nikkei should be a go-to. I feel foolish as I say this because, much as it has had a near-mythical hold on our imagination since we first visited it years ago, we never even bothered to come back. That will change in the future, for sure. The basics, first. The miso soup, light and clear, yet with a depth so complex it astounds you--then you see a Hokusai Great Wave reproduction hanging on the wall right by you and you realize that you are being engulfed by waves of pleasure and happiness. And that's just the miso. The Coco is a revelation--though it's a fusion supposedly of Japanese and Peruvian it feels decidedly Filipino, maybe because of the coconut cream. This dish could point us to where our own kinilaw could go, I think, or maybe even to our own treatment of gata, so ubiquitous in our cuisine. These two alone are enough reasons to go visit. The Saba Shioyaki, though, hefty and perfectly seasoned, also deserves mention. The Nigiri set, too, the Tuna Mango Roll, and the Buta No Kakuni. Arroz con leche for dessert? One would think after all the rice from the sushi, roll, and 2.5 bowls of rice one would have had enough of it. But it's a proper end, I guess, to our dinner's unintended theme. What do three countries -Japan, Peru, the Philippines- have in common? The fish would be a good answer. But as Nikkei shows, also the rice.
Good chill ambiance and the quality of food was amazing. Ordered seared tuna with sea urchin risotto and Buta no Kakuni (pork belly) and we really enjoyed it. Great service too!
Food is very good quality. Salmon sashimi is the best I had. Tuna with sea urchin risotto is very tasty. The rolls were in very good quantity and size. Place was quiet and ambience was great. Would definitely come back again.
The food was really good! Ambience is quiet and really chill :) 10/10 would come again!
We had the ff:
• Salmon Sashimi
• Aburi Roll
• Sea Urchin Risotto
It’s just my second time here, but I really wouldn’t mind going back more often. Food is spot on. Service and ambience are exquisite. Good value for money!👌🏻
Went on a Sunday to have lunch with my family — dad, mom, grandma, brother, sister-in-law, and two nieces. Serving time was fast and food tasted good.
We went to Nikkei for lunch with my family and the food was good, the servers were polite and courteous. The facilities are also neat and yhe ambiance was great
I love how the tissues were in black! Amazing!
One must try the Duck Breast. Every bite explodes with juicy flavours. Soft yet firm to the bite.

The uni risotto’s the best! I always order it when I visit. The salmon burger, chirashi, and kurobota are also very good. Looking forward to my next visit ❤️
We had the seared tuna risotto, black cod, lomo saltado and ebi rolls. They were all so good. As for the staff/service, it was quick and accommodating. Will definitely come back.
My go to Japanese resto! Everything was delicious, but seared tuna w/ sea urchin risotto was the best! Really good ambience. Quality and fast service.
The food quality is impeccable as always. The aburi roll, black cod and lomo salato was great. Ambience is chill and cozy. Would definitely return again when I’m in the area.
