I made a reservation here in Esteban branch last May 19 with my family and friends. Special mention to kuya Marlon & Lawrence for assisting us lalo na nung nag request ako ng projector to play an AVP to surprise one of my friend since its her birthday. Ang cozy and nice ng place, instagram worth it lalo na yung food.�

Back at Trufa again! I love the friendliness of the staff and how attentive they are. I got my favorite Albondigas de Angeline's and the Trufa pasta with chorizo. This combination I don't highly recommend to people who watch what they eat but if you don't mind... It's good and heavy on the stomach

I'm not really a pasta fan... but wow! The Carbonara Filipina was surprisingly delicious! I never thought that dilis would go so well with carbonara! Food was a bit late, which is expected given it's just on soft opening. Overall, really good job!

My lil sister always bring me home different kinds of pasta whenever our scheds meet, and trufa pasta definitely hit the spot... together with fusili pasta and mushrooms... and since their closed on sundays, were craving for one right now... hope to be able to visit real soon ❤❤❤

I enjoyed this place! My favorite truffle flavor and was able to do it in ravioli! 😍

I also enjoyed their bread. It's not too soft and it's crunchy. My friend ordered a different pasta and it's good too!

As per safety they have the alcohol and foot bath. Then health declartion can be done via qrcode and their menu can be downloaded too

Service was great! Very fast and efficient. 😊

While browsing the internet, I saw a list of top truffle pasta in the metro and Trufa is one of them! Me and my friend order Truffle pasta with gambas in fusili, Tapastalog in rigatoni. It’s their best seller. Both pasta have different taste and I love them both!! The staff were accomodating, the ambiance is comfy and homey. I love my experience here, worth the money!

You have ultimate control over your meal – choose your sauce, pasta and toppings. You are limited only by your own imagination (and courage!). Everything is perfectly cooked according to your desired doneness. I had pesto on spaghetti noodles with chorizo sausage and it was a smashing combination!

Expect to pay around 500 per head, though servings are adequate and filling. Service for a table of six took more than 30 minutes on a slow day, so expect a bit of a wait. Best while away the time with a glass of wine (or two!).

Was walking down the road when I stumbled upon trufa, great interior design, love the minimalistic feel. What's nice with this hole in the wall restaurant is that it got great food and drinks. Definitely going back again, on the side note. The parking might be a bit of a problem

Wasnt able to take photos, but had pasta pizza and drinks. Memorable was the bolognese, the mango quinoa drink. I was wondering how quinoa can be in a drink - surprisingly it worked well with the mango!

Deliscious!! The pasta is al dente and the sauce is not sweet nor over powering. Big fan of their red sauce and penne pasta. My friends and I really look forward yo coming here whenever we visit Makati

I loved the pasta! It was delivered fast, fresh and hot. Pesto was just right with the grilled chicken! Pasta noodles was well cooked! Though I was expecting that their serving would be enough for two for the price but was not. I would love to try the rest of their dishes.

Good ambience! Its such a relaxing place to go on a date or even have drinks with your friends.

Must try for me is their ravioli with truffle sauce. Also we tried their red and white sangria. Preferred the white sangria but both are good!

Price for the pasta is worth it since their quantity is good for sharing (around 2-3).

Overall I give it a 4.5!

Perfect place for a get-together with friends due to cozy ambience. For the mains, go for their truffle pasta with mushrooms and bacon as well as their flat pizzas. Their croquettas as good and their sangria negra is the best. Staff could be more attentive and more friendly.

My previous boss treated us over lunch here since our office is nearby. A fancy and quiet place which offers a wide variety of pasta which you can customize according to your liking. Presentation-wise, don’t the pictures look lovely?

I love how you can customize your pasta from the sauce up to the alegria. You can even opt for the whole wheat pasta with no additional charge! Service and ambiance are both great too.

I love their pasta and how you can customize your own. 
Every time I went for dine-in or take-away, the staff was accommodating, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu - which is a rare find. I'm surprised to see others (reviews) had a bad experience.

I love that the place is uncrowded; it can be an intimate place to dine in.

Their pastas are very generous on truffle oil (and parmesan cheese) I must say! The aftertaste was with me until days later. Yummy! And the meat in your pasta are chunky and savory, too. Definitely not bland.

You will surely be filled with one serving, since the pasta is quite thick too.

I just hope they change their playlist to a more appropriate one! When we were there, they were playing EDM music which kind of not suited the mood. :(

This is definitely the place to go if you're craving for some really good pasta at very reasonable prices. The place is really nice and has a good vibe. They offer different types of pasta and noodles and even have a whole wheat option for no extra charge! Great place and great quality.

I and my officemates were intrigued by this restaurant, and since we’re all craving pasta, we decided to try this out. And I’m glad to say that it did not disappoint.

Interiors are rustic. I like that they stick to one genre of music and not a mix of the songs in the billboard chart (Music for me really helps set the ambiance of a place.). We had our lunch late in the afternoon and there’s not a lot of people. I bet more people come here for dinner.

Now on to the food... their pastas are to die for! Presentation is spot-on. First bite and you can really tell that the pasta was made fresh. I also recommend getting their chocolate with salted caramel cake. We’ll come back for sure for the creme brulee cake! Price is reasonable especially for the quality.

Trufa is a good place to catch up with your friends or take your SO for a date. I’m happy that this restaurant is so close to our office ❤️

When I visit this place, the rating is 4.1. When i tried their gambas ajillo and their other pastas, I am convinced that the score should be higher. This is the best place to get pasta in Makati area, if you are into pasta.

I love Trufa!!! I was shocked how they have like weird combinations of toppings and pasta that actually work. We ordered like three different pastas and the bill wasn’t bad. A bowl of pasta can be good for one hungry person or two females with a small appetite 🤣🤣

They have fast wifi and the waiters are very friendly. Not so much people were around when we were there. The location is near lots of offices also... which means it’s not a hassle to go there although you might have problems with parking.

I really love the place, it's very quiet and a good place to study and chill. I tried their trufa pasta, tapa pasta and pesto. All were delicious and their pasta is cooked perfectly. Their staff are friendly and accommodating. I also noticed that they had alcoholic beverages so it is also a good place to drink with friends in Makati.

My date and I ordered Bolonesa de Casa-Parpadelle-Pollo and Trufa-Spaghetti-Panceta. The Parpadelle was a delight - it was my first time to try that type of noodle. The pollo serving was plentiful, though I wish they couldve traded a piece of pollo for a piece of garlic bread - it only had one piece. The Trufa thankfully was a success (considering the resto's name) - better than the Trufa of another restaurant in the vicinity. We topped off our meals with a fruity glass of Sangria Negra and a bottle of Fish Rider Pale Ale. The waiters were very courteous and fast. The place had a relaxing and happy vibe.

When you order pasta here, you get to choose which sauce you want, which pasta you want, and which toppings you want. That’s what i love about this place because I get to create my own pasta dish!

What’s my favorite? Trufa sauce in Tagliatelle pasta with Spinach (2 orders because I LOVE spinach) and Mushrooms! I love the liberty of being able to customize my own pasta dish!

Highly recommended. Try my creation! PS, i do recognize that I don’t add meat/seafood to my personal creation, but that’s how much i love spinach. But if you really don’t want a purely vegetarian pasta dish, then I suggest you add salmon as an additional topping. It’s gonna go great with spinach. ;)

Was a first for me to create my own pasta dish. Today I got the Menu del Dia which was Chorizo picante on pappardelle noodles with a bit of sautéed spinach. Ordered the Caesar salad and for my drink got the sugar cane calamansi juice. The dish itself was good but I really enjoyed that the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente.  I did enjoy the use of local ingredients  but the taste was  lacking for me. Its a bit pricey and portions a bit on the smaller side, but I believe the benefit is that you can build your own pasta dish.

Trufa Pasta Bar for our Year-end date last Saturday.The place looks neat with its wooden furnishings with black color as accent. Its simple and modern.

I was quite overwhelmed, as this is not the usual stuff I do when ordering pasta, but it was fun. You get to experiment what you feel like having. Its a DIY thing 😊 you get to choose : 12 different pasta shapes, 14 toppings, and 13 sauces!

For appetizer, we had 4 pcs Croquettas de Quezo. (P195) Crispy on the outside and yummy cheese to surprise you as you bite. Good one!

For my sauce: Ajilo (it has olive oil, parsley, garlic and red pepper flakes), for my pasta, I had Fettuccini. And Gambas (spanish style prawns) for toppings/ alegria. Its my choice, i think I had too much oil and a bit bland. The gambas is oily plus ajilo is olive based sauce. But enjoyed it still by adding chili flakes.

My companion has good choices. He had Penne for pasta, truffle sauce, which is their signature sauce and gambas for toppings/ alegria. This one is a must try. So delicious and flavorful.


Verdict: might be a pricey place for pasta, but experience is superb, you get to try what you’re craving. Servers are attentive and helpful in providing info.

We had the crispy chips, cheese croquettes, trufa with pasta and setas, and trufa with pasta and pancetta.

Overall, it was a good experience. The chips were kinda oily, but they were yummy, best paired with their aioli dip. For the cheese croquettes though, it was kinda weird since the breading was too thin, it also lacked crisp. Probably that’s also the reason why it felt like it was a sponge that absorbed oil while being fried.

The pasta was good, but nothing extraordinary. I’d go with the truffle pasta of Relish or Frazzled Cook more. However, the opportunity to customize your pasta here might be a plus to choose what suits you best!

I was around Legaspi looking for a place for early dinner coz i was really hungry. I was suppose to eat in Your Local but I crave for something Italian so good thing Trufa is literally In front of Your Local. So I went in there's no much people since it's still early, the ambiance is okay, the service is alright. I ordered their Signature dish which is Trufa with extra Pancetta. The dish is amazing, the flavors are really rich and their pasta was nice, but the servings is kinda small but it's fine. It's not a place for you if you're really hungry but it satisfied me tho.

I wasn't a fan of truffle pasta until I tried it at Trufa's (which was reeking of the smell of truffles, btw!). The pasta was al dente and the sauce was not overpowering. I also enjoyed the smoky flavor of the gambas spaghetti with salmon. The chorizo picante, however, tasted a bit burnt and the rigatoni was on the tough side for my companions, though I'd say it was just a bit chewy. I liked the huevos estrellados the most, which I believe had tapa in it. The tapa was tasty with a sweet hint, complementing the potatoes well. I had to start and end my meal with the huevos estrellados - it was that good!

The menu could be a bit overwhelming with all the choices, but the waiters were ready to recommend the pasta or allegria that could work well with your choice of salsa. It might be better for them to have a quick list of recommended salsa/ pasta/ allegria combinations, or a best seller tag on the items on the menu.

The place was quite nice. The inside was a bit dark with the black walls and tiny light bulbs but the minimalist furniture and decorations, plus the high ceiling made the place feel roomy. Though not cozy, this is a nice place to hang out with friends. Will definitely go back.

I chose Truffle 340.00, pappardelle and pancetta +40. I wanted fresh mushrooms however it wasn't available for the day. 380 pesos for a truffle pasta is not bad at all. Seemed like a steal when I paid.

They served my order within 8-10 mins and the aroma of truffle was intoxicating. The cream had a good flavor, but I found the whole dish to be just a tad under seasoned. I wanted to ask for salt and pepper but everyone was busy entertaining a small group of 10 that was lined up at the counter. No biggie. The pancetta bits were fried to a crisp (yum!) and it made up for the lack of salt for the bites that had it. 3.5 for me.

We ordered a chocolate cake for my daughter. The frosting was sweeter than I prefer, but the cake was super light and fluffy which I enjoyed. Overall a nice chocolate cake, 4.0. I was told that they have someone bringing in the desserts for them. They have a catalan cake which I wanted to try, but my toddler kept pointing to the chocolate. Cookies looked scrumptious too.

Came in on their soft opening. It's been awhile.

The truffle pasta and the tapas were good. What makes it a 3.5 though is their white sangria. It's my first time to see white sangria that looks like orange juice. To my dismay, it even tastes like orange juice! It does the job though, we felt buzzed after a few sips. I feel though that there are better tapas + sangria places out there that are cheaper. We were four already and we split 2 tapas, 1 pasta, and a sangria carafe yet each of us had to pay 390.

This is a great place to get your pasta fix. They have great ambience and you can customize your pasta. I ordered their chorizo picante plus additional crispy chorizo. The sauce was ok and it had the right of spice and kick. The crispy chorizo gave the dish the right texture. We also ordered their house specialty which was trufa. I liked the way they mixed the sauce. You can really taste and smell the truffle sauce. Looking forward to going back here when we get our craving for pasta.

My cravings for truffle and pasta brought me here.
Love how they kept the space laid-back and well lit.

It was our first time to dine and their staff patiently attended to us and gave us their recommendations.

I tried their Trufa with Trufa Sauce and Panceta. It was good! Something worth going back for!
The boyfriend tried the Ajillo with Pollo. For an oil based sauce, it was quite dry but it was really flavorful (loved it anyway).

I did enjoy the concept of mixing and matching the sauce, pasta and toppings. Will come back next to try other combinations and of course their desserts.

The pasta is good for the price point. I like how you were able to choose the sauce, pasta and toppings. My only comment though is i ordered the trufa with grilled chicken and ended up removing the chicken because i think it was too salty. I may have not ordered the best topping for the sauce but nobody likes super salty chicken even on its own.

The best pasta I have ever eaten. Coming from Europe I did not expect to find this is Manila! I would highly recommend to anyone. The staff are very accommodating and play great music too. The build your own pasta concept is something that I have done before however it has never quiet hit the spot, this however is a step above the rest.

I'm generally not a pasta lover but I love truffle. We ordered truffle pasta and the croquetas de chorizo and it was sooooo good! I love the fact that we can choose which kind of pasta on a certain salsa we would like to have - i think that's cool! I'd comeback here and order their trufa pasta - again. Ambiance is good, service is good, overall - I liked it here. A good place to catch up with a friend.

The interior of the place is warm, cozy, and definitely instagrammable. I really like the choose-your-own pasta concept; it's fresh, new, and perfect for a pasta lover like me.

A great way to start your meal is by taking a bite out of the Huevos Estrellados. I swear: beef and egg combine to give you an unforgettably delicious potato dish that’ll leave you craving for more.

And fortunately, there IS more! Next up is Trufa’s specialty, which is the pasta! I was lucky enough to try a lot of pasta dishes, of which each of them were, without fail, cooked al dente. You can actually taste how fresh all of the ingredients were, because the dishes were wholesomely flavorful.

My favorite pasta dish is the Farfalle pasta in Tapastalog sauce, which really stood out for me because of its local twist and its dash of sweetness. I also liked their version of the classic dish, Carbonara Filipina (with Spaghetti).

I also tried Bolonesa de Casa with Tagliatelle, Gambas with Penne + Olivas, Pesto with Whole Wheat Spaghetti + Tomate Secos + Chicken, Ajillo with Chorizo Ravioli, and Bolonesa de Casa with Whole Wheat Fusilli. They were all delicious, so you really can’t go wrong with any of them.

For drinks I highly recommend El Sol. It's a smoothie made of lemon, mint, and lychee, which is an absolutely perfect combination for a refreshing summer drink.

Needless to say, I left this place with a full stomach and a compelling desire to return soon.

It's the place across Yardstick! This is the first place i got to try the truffle sauce. Hahaha It was not supposed to be a good experience since this is the place i got dumped by my girlfriend (thanks to the pasta we gave the relationship another try) but the trufa sauce was to die for.
Since you choose your pasta, sauce and toppings, and the name of the place is Trufa, go for the trufa sauce!
The Asiatica salad tastes delicious!
The Pastel de chocolate is not something you would remember.

Masarap. I really liked the pasta here and enjoyed it. The pasta is cooked al dente and the flavors are delicious. We started with the Tapas and my favorite is the huevos estrellados. It is the fries covered with meat and topped with an egg. The meat has a certain sweetness similar to tapa. I also like that they used anchovies (dilis) for the salad and Carbonara Filipina instead of bacon. They do have good food and I will definitely go back. I had an el sol drink. Its a Lemonade and Lychee drink which fits the summer. My favorite pasta is tapastalog. At first I thought it is some kind of a Spanish term for the dish but it turns out it is just an acronym for tapa, pasta, and itlog. Just like tapsilog but replacing sinangag with pasta.

From DIY pizzas to burgers, Trufa Pasta Bar gives us DIY pasta! At their restaurant, you can pick your own sauce (La Salsa), pasta (La Pasta) and add-ons (La Alegria).

For their pasta, I enjoyed the classic Boloñesa de Casa in tagliatelle. The al dente pasta and sauce were enough for me to fall in love with this dish. For the Tapas (appetizer), I would recommend the Montadito de Mediterraneo which is perfect for vegetarians, Croquetas de Quezo for the cheese lovers, and Huevos Estrellados for that potato + beef + egg goodness.

We also had Ensalada Asiatica. I instantly noticed how vibrant the vegetables were. As I bit into it, they were so crunchy! The vegetables were really fresh! However, the salad mixed with the dressing was a little salty for me. Maybe we just overpoured the dressing, or maybe the quezo de bola and crispy fish (anchovies, I guess) added some saltiness to it. Anyhow, I still enjoyed the salad because of its freshness.

I had Sangria Blanca for my beverage. I was happy with my drink because it served as my palette cleanser from all the dishes I've tasted. The alcohol was not too strong because the fruits really balanced out the taste of this cocktail.

Trufa Pasta Bar is a great place to hang out (and carbo loading) with your family and friends. The place is cozy and comfortable, and the food is affordable! They also have plenty of beverages to choose from - juices, coffee, soft drinks, cocktails, beers, and WINE!!! The price of their wine ranges from Php 140 to Php 200 for each glass. I'll definitely come back for a pasta + wine dining experience.

Trufa Pasta Bar's concept is genius-- it offers creativity for bold millennials giddy to try something new. It gives you an alternative to cooking your own food; you can mix and match over a hundred of combinations of pastas, sauces, and add-ons.

From the ones we tried, I highly recommend trying Trufa (for La Salsa), Farfalle (for La Pasta), and Panceta and Gambas (for La Alegria) together. The flavor and creaminess of the truffle sauce was in perfect harmony with the taste of their spanish gambas and panceta. You'll be surprised to see yourself finishing the whole serving in just minutes! Other dishes that I liked were their huevos estrellados and las fritas. Their huevos estrellados (pommes frites with shredded beef and egg on top) tasted so good together. For me, the strong seasoning of the beef balanced out the neutral taste of the starch. The las fritas was simple yet very addictive.

What I really liked about this place was that their pastas were all al dente (note: I'm not talking about al dente by chance, it's al dente by profession). According to the owner, they use high quality ingredients that they source directly from their own suppliers to make sure that it's the freshest that it can get. It's getting the quality you deserve for the price that you're paying. Also, they have this summer special, Menu Del Dia--for only Php 350+, you get a salad, pasta, and smoothie. Something to watch out for lunch on a stressful day at work.

I find the place really cozy and chill. Best way to enjoy the scorching hot weather in Manila is to eat their pasta with their cold drinks (like their el sol and la playa which a both equally delicious) or pair it with their affordable glasses of wines. The staff and owner are very friendly and accommodating. I'll make sure to come back to this place whenever I crave for good pasta! ❤️

Trufa Pasta Bar is now under my list on where to get a good and quick pasta fix. Although the restaurant may seem hidden to most people in Makati, they still manage to gain a lot customers everyday because of its great accessibility for those who work around the area.

The owner's temporary stay in Barcelona, Spain had such a huge impact in her life that she decided to share her love for the city by bringing the experience of Barcelona for everyone here in her restaurant.

Another great thing to know about Trufa Pasta Bar, is that they use the freshest high quality ingredients available making you feel good every time eating their food.

Trufa Pasta Bar lets you build your own pasta, where you choose your Salsa, Pasta and Alegria. It's exciting how you get to create different combinations for your pasta especially if you're an adventurous person who likes to combine strange pairings and discover different flavors and textures. However, if you don't really trust yourself with what will go well together, the friendly and accommodating staff are always there to educate you on what will go well together.

Trufa's Spanish inspired menu offered interesting dishes all the way from tapas, to desserts.

We had several of their tapas and they were all satisfyingly delicious however, the dish that really stood out for me, was the Croquetas de Chorizo. The dish may look small and simple, but once you take a bite of it, it's like an explosion of different flavors and textures. The crisp balls filled with the creamy ,sweet and salty chorizo filling was really enjoyable especially when paired with the garlic mayo dip. It's definitely a dish worth coming back for.

Aside from tapas, we had ensalada as well. We had the Ensalada Asiatica which consists only of, red cabbage, romaine, Mango, Quezo de Bola, and crispy fish. The salad was simple but flavorful and it had a nice vibrant color from the fresh greens that were used.

Since it's a pasta bar, of course we had to try their pasta. We had several combinations, 7 to be exact. I was so happy that the pastas that were offered to us, all had "Al Dente" noodles, nobody likes soggy noodles. Another nice thing to know about Trufa is that they offer a healthier option of "whole wheat" pasta without extra charge. Among the 7 combinations of pasta that we had, the one that I enjoyed the most was the Farfalle "Tapastalog". The pasta was coated evenly with the creamy white sauce and the tapa gave it a nice smoky and sweet flavor. The egg on top was also a nice touch, giving the whole dish extra texture and flavor. I just wish I had bread to wipe the leftover sauce on the plate :(

Trufa Pasta Bar isn't known only for their great Spanish inspired food, but also their Spanish inspired drinks. The drink that I would recommend is the "La Playa" which is a drink under their "Summer Smoothies" menu. The drink consisted of mango, coconut and quinoa. The drink itself was very sweet and had a great aftertaste. The blend of mango and coconut go really well together and the quinoa gave the drink an interesting texture. It was really refreshing and definitely the perfect choice to beat the summer heat. Other drinks that I would like to recommend would be their drinks under the "Zumos Con Tubo". These are drinks made from freshly pressed sugarcane nectar mixed with your favorite fruits. It comes in, Original, Mango, Calamansi, And Green Apple. However, if you're an alcohol fan (haha) you don't have to worry because Trufa also offers alcoholic drinks like beer, cocktails and wine where you can enjoy on anytime of the day or during their happy hour.

Ended the day with their signature "Trufa Cookie" for dessert. The cookie itself was very buttery and the filling was super sweet. The Trufa cookie surprisingly gave a light truffle flavor that I didn't expect.

Trufa Pasta Bar is definitely worth coming back to. It is one of the best places to enjoy good food with the greatest people and also the best places to carb load without the guilt! Hope to visit again soon with my family and some friends.

Started out as a relationship with pasta and wine, Trufa Pasta Bar was brought to life with one purpose, to share the love and passion of the owner to the local scene, with the create-your-own pasta dish as their main highlight.

So here you got to choose from what sauce goes in your dish, then the noodles to use, and finally the garnish. You have lots of combinations to choose from so its an adventure to dig in. You may safely go for the standards like the Pomodoro or the Pesto or you could try the specials like the Carbonara Filipina or the Trufa, their signature dish. They also have different kinds of pasta but you have to add extra for the Ravioli. Another good thing with their pasta is that all were cooked al dente and it remained firm even after it remained untouched for a long time.

Once you have chosen your pasta dish, you could choose the wine to pair with it for the complete experience. They have lots of wine for their selection. You can also ask the crew in case you are not sure on what to order with it. In case you're not a wine person, they also offer different drinks to come with your pasta. From freshly pressed sugar cane, to Coca-cola products, and coffee as well. Other alcoholic drinks and mixes are available as well. Sagrada Familia is something that you should try out.

Aside from pasta, they also have other snacks, salads, and desserts offered as well. The Trufa Cookie is something to try out as it was sooooo good! Another thing to take note of is that they have Vegan options as well so it's something to check out in case you're in a strict diet or similar.

So if you are in search for a different experience in dining, then better try out this one. The cozy interiors, great staff, good music at the background, in addition to great food makes the whole experience worthwhile.

I was eyeing Trufa for quite sometime now because of their interiors and we figured to give it a try since it's just a few steps away from my school. I was curious about the unfamiliar pasta so that's what i ordered - Gnocchi and Carbonara Filipina for the sauce with Panceta. It's definitely a unique dining experience since you get to make your own pasta. Their server was very kind and approachable!

Jason went ahead and ordered our food and what I especially find commendable about Trufa were the staff who were very attentive and friendly. They were also open and asking feedback about their food and I find their service exceptional. They were warm and friendly despite the rush and busy-ness of this city.

 
For appetizer, we got Huevos Estrellados (P195). It was fried potatoes with ground and very tasty meat drizzled with cheese and a fried egg tenderly draped over the savory mix. This really whet our appetites as it played with different flavors and different elements of comfort food goodness. I was in potato heaven.

For pasta Jason had his pick. It was pretty easy to follow given that there are 3 steps.

Step 1: Choose your Salsa / sauce.

We picked Gambas which was olive oil, prawns, spanish smoked paprika and garlic.

Step 2: Choose Your Pasta

We picked Papardelle! To be honest even if I am a pasta lover, I still have a lot to learn about the different types of pasta. But don't be intimidated by all the choices! Just in case you get overwhelmed by all the names and the variety, you can always ask the friendly staff of Trufa to give their recommendation. (Because Jason did. :D) And it's perfectly okay.

Step 3: Choose your Alegria

 In English, Alegria means happiness or joy. We added olives and salmon bites to our choice since both of us would agree to this as our joy. :p

The pasta was really al dente and as they say this is the key to any good pasta dishes. It all boils down to how the pasta is cooked. The salmon had quality to it too. I found the salsa a bit unique and strong to my liking. The smoky taste kind of grows on you. We would like to have some bread on the side though. The server was very welcoming of any suggestions or recommendations. I raised the issued of THE BREAD. They said that a lot of their customers have been asking to add this to the pasta but there isn't any action yet? I wonder why? What's pasta without bread on the side? Hehe. The salsa was strong and the bread would have neutralized or diluted the flavor a bit. It would have been perfect.

My first experience here was at their soft opening 2 months ago. Our mistake was that never go to a resto's soft opening since it'll be crowded with people, so with that we got our orders complete after 2 hours.

They gave us 1 complimentary appetizer and 3 complimentary desserts for the inconvenience. Anyway, I like their pastas so far, only that I see it so expensive. Price doesn't fit my budget well. Food portions are so small. Staffs are very nice, and the place has a very cozy feel.

Trufa is situated in Esteban Street, just across Your Local. I love the look of the place. Very trendy and 'instagrammable'. Had good lighting as well. Well-ventilated too.

Service:
The waiters were super accommodating, and really friendly. We felt very welcome into the place. Our waitress was very honest about menu opinions, and she guided us throughout our pasta choices. Waiters were always smiling to, which of course, is a plus. In addition, someone who we perceive was the owner (judging by how she spoke with the waiters and just looked the part), kept smiling at us as well.

Food:
My Mom ordered Fusilli with Carbonara Filipina. First, it was the wrong choice of pasta for the sauce. Second, the sauce tasted really weird: it was a bit sweet! The dilis probably altered the savory flavor of the sauce, but this didn't work for us at all. I ordered Gnocchi with Trufa and Chicken. To me, this was a winner. The gnocchi was perfectly cookes, the chicken was super tender, but that trufa really took the cake.. it was delicious. My plate was licked clean, because it was that good. We also ordered Croquetas de Queso, which I really liked. Unlike most croquetas, this one was super rich, and you'd know that the potatoes were finely mashed. It had a good cheesy flavor, and had the right crisp. I just wish it could've been bigger. But for the price, it was okay.
The desserts, however, were the biggest fails for me. I honestly wish I ended my lunch with just the pasta, because the taste of the desserts really didn't live up to its gorgeous looks. We ordered Pastel de Crema Catalana (creme brulee cake). While the brulee on top tasted good and the cream in the middle was okay, it was the actual chiffon cake that ruined the dessert. It was very dry, almost like a cheap store-bought cake. We also ordered Pastel Imposible (which looked really pretty). It was okay. It doesn't have a wow factor, however. The aftertaste of the slightly burnt flan tasted really weird.

Overall, I would definitely come back for the place, the service, and that trufa pasta. It's only the dessert holding me back to be honest, but if they promise to improve it, then I promise I'll visit again!

I love Trufa Pasta Bar. I like being able to create my own pasta dish. Choosing what goes into my pasta is great. I also love the starters particularly the huevos and croquetas. Always a good meal when I am there.

One of many hole in the walls in Legaspi Village. This one specializes in pasta and truffle oil, hence the name. You make your own pasta, i.e. pick a noodle, sauce, topping then you're good to go. Picking the truffle oil will cost you Php350 and extra Php50-70 for the toppings but do not be disheartened with the price! It is so good you will want to come back right away.

Whenever I see truffle on the menu, I always get that indulgent feel. That ingredient somehow exudes that feeling that makes one really go ahead and dive in!. This pasta bar in town focuses on bringing quality pasta dishes. With their multiple pasta concoctions, there’s really a choice for everyone dining here. The place has this rustic feel with all the wooden interiors that makes one feel comfy. It was quite spacious too.

Still on soft opening, Trufa left a very good impression. Interior was inviting and airy. Loved the squid ink painted high ceiling and the giant wooden clocks showing Barcelona and Manila time zones.

I ordered Tapastalog rigatoni. It was love at first pasta! The sauce was creamy and had a strong beef tapa flavor to it. The tender beef shreds were cooked perfectly. Plus, it had an egg on top of the dish. It was a perfect dish.

As to the service, they were all very attentive. The only issue I had was the order system. We had to queue as if we were in a fast food or a coffee shop. Perhaps they were testing how customers would respond. But we were accommodated to place our orders while seated. I would prefer that way. More convenient and systematic.

A new restaurant in Makati. The ambiance is perfect for millenials. Minimal look, not for business meetings and not for staying longer than 2 hours in because it can be noisy or leave you smelling like food.

Staff are friendly and clean-looking.

The menu can be quite misleading. You'd think you're getting pasta for 200+ pesos but that's just the base. You add the pasta itself plus "toppings", it comes out almost 400 pesos. Pretty good though if you get the right mix. I just hope they had bigger servings.

Also tried their dessert (Pastel Imposible) and coffee (Cafe con Leche). They were so-so for me. Go for the pasta.

What my girls and I had with Trufa was a very pleasant experience.

Ambiance and the place itself is neat and organized.

Staff were very accommodating and truly welcoming. Nakakahawa ang good vibes!

All the food that we ordered was spot on. Everything is tasty which really added to having good vibes.

However, I think Trufa should add another cashier or at least a Priority Lane for Senior Citizens, PWDs and Pregnant Women (like me). Lunchtime is such a peak hour and it slows down the ordering part.

Anyhow, we really had a great time eating earlier. Special mention to the lady who catered to us-- she mentioned that she was a friend of the owner and is visiting from Canada; thank you for your warm welcome!

We will def' dine again.👌

One of the not-so-hidden gems in Makati 😆 serving time could have been slightly improved, but it's well-compensated by the food itself. Highly recommended.

The place was great I really like the wood and black concept. I ordered trufa fussili and my friends had gambas, pesto and the cake can't remember the name but it has mango on it. The pasta that we had are really appetizing and delicious. We just find the serving a little bit small for the price of the pasta.

Different pasta types, sauces, and toppings to choose from! Great concept!

I love the ambiance of the place. My colleagues and I went here last week and they were still on soft opening. I loved their Trufa fussili with setas (mushroom). Although most of my colleagues felt that their servings were a bit on the smaller side, I personally found it just right. They also have desserts aside from the pasta bar.

Definitely worth visiting.
