Came here for the afternoon tea jewelry box set. Checked online and was too excited to try everything they have. I invited my friends for an afternoon tea only to find out they don’t offer most entrees they have online. Disappointing. Thank goodness there was live music.

A very nice lounge place to have a quick grab of coffee and some delightful snacks. Great ambience and a place where I can concentrate doing my workloads. Compared to typical cafes which is full of students. Also, my favourite is Shangrila The Fort. It is like my second office. Great ambience great view great service.

This lobby lounge is one of the chilliest places in a hotel I’ve been in. Carpeted floors and comfy couches are what to expect. Of course food and drinks offered are a little pricey but you go for the ambiance and not really the food or beverage. Though, of course it is given that something they serve should be actually worth what you’re paying for and so far we’ve ordered drinks that are really worth the price, even their basic tea is in a teapot that can stand a long time heat. My second stop 🛑 last December 13,2018 for my Hotel Hopping was here at Makati Shangrila Hotel .
The last time I went here was few years ago with my hubby for a Valentines Afternoon Tea date . I'm really a fan of Shangri-La Hotels and was a Golden Circle ⭕️ Member too were I was able to enjoyed all the perks of being a member.
So happy to be back here again for the holiday season . I met a new friend Elf and the little drummer boy 🥁. He needs our help . Overall , I had a great time revisiting one of my favourite hotels in Manila 👍😊. When it's Shangrila , expect you'll get the highest quality service 👍.

Makati Shangri-La has been my favorite hotel for some time now and their excellent service never fails.
Our room package includes a Filipino High Tea set so hubby and I really didn’t know what to expect. Honestly speaking, I was expecting a choice of tea then a choice of some pastries or scones. What we didn’t expect is that the Filipino High Tea set (P1,500 from the menu), was already good for sharing and had us so full, hubby was not able to eat the burger he ordered. The set includes a choice of 2 cups of coffee or a pot of tea (tea options have a separate menu and variety was very good, not TWG level in quantity but enough for you to be satisfied with the range of selections). We went with pure peppermint tea. They serve the set in a wooden box with layers separating the savory appetizers from the sweet desserts. Since the set is Filipino- themed, they have kinilaw na Tanigue, sisig in a fried wanton style, grilled liempo skewer, and a tart with something like a cheesy meat as filling. I may not have caught the exact names of the dishes included but we loved everything on the set, had to leave some of the sweets though but I particularly found the calamansi chocolate interesting and refreshing. Also, the set includes Bibingka which hubby and I agreed to be the best tasting Bibingka we’ve ever encountered. It was moist inside and seems to have a hint of cheese and it was perfectly cooked.
Going back to the burger my hubby ordered, it was super thick, might be around 3/4” thick. Comes with thick fries and coleslaw. For P820, I could say, it was worth it, it would definitely make your tummy happy.
Ambience in the Lobby Lounge is chill since there’s some musicians playing at the background. We started with some violins playing at their mezzanine then piano and strings near the lounge’s dining area.
We usually go to the lobby lounge for drinks so we were pleasantly surprised that they also serve meals. From appetizers, light meals to full on heavy meals like Kare Kare and such.
Aside from their faster wifi, their coffee is almost the price of Starbucks Coffee. So instead of waiting outside, I drop by here with free music, water and friendly staff awaits you.
Their caramel macchiato is a bomb! Sweet and aroma is there! You can also request for milk, sugar and creamer for better taste.
I always drop by here now since the place is near my work. Happy sipping!
Still a very lovely place to spend an afternoon. One has to love the high ceilings and gold columns here. Chairs are very comfy. Expect hotel prices for the food. Service is still great.
The prince of all hotel lobby lounges in the metro (the Pen is the king). The high ceiling and natural light makes it an awesome place to be a tito or tita and just relax and unwind. The music is usually quite pleasant as well. The seats are comfortable and the food is alright.
Obviously, expect the food and especially the beverages to be overpriced, but youre paying for the ambience and service after all.
Perhaps the only times that Ive been to the lobby Lounge of the shang is when I get intereviewed by expat executives. Though my incidental visits are the ones that I thoroughly enjoy. Nothing beats the ambiance of the lobby. You sip a cup of perfectly brewed coffee in the low key lounge as you bask in the sunlight reflected off the floor to high ceiling glass exposing the lush vegetation across it. Coupled with an exquisite slice of pastry, its hard to find a more elegant way of getting screened for a job.
Great food that comes at a price. Well, what do you expect from such high-end class and services? This is the place if you're looking for a classic and yet sophisticated ambiance paired with live performances and palatable dishes. A downside though is that they have limited waitresses to assist you, since I've only spotted two at most. Other tables had to wait and call them several times to be attended to. Needless to say, their food is just great! I loved their lobster pasta, that seems like risotto at first, and how flavorful it was. Their burgers are massive in size and would really stuff you to the brim. The kare-kare was good, but doesn't seem to project much of flavor. Although speaking of high-end, their cheesecake laced with edible gold was an experience I would never forget. Try to drop by around the afternoon till night to catch live performances to augment the savory dishes before you, if and when you decide to splurge.

Very relaxing ambiance accompanied by beautifully performed music on strings. If your coming for high tea you can have a choice of Filipino or western menu for finger food to pair with your choice of tea. Price range from 600 to 900php++
One of the classic hotels in the metro still resplendent in its' charm and beauty. We had a meeting at Makati Shangri-la last month and it left us hungry. We were about to make our way to Glorietta when the magical and haunting sound of a cacophony of violins made us stop and listen. We really enjoyed the music that we decided to splurge and have a light meal at the Lobby Lounge.
My fiance and I shared a Ceasar salad and their club sandwich. We also bought a mooncake from the stand selling these in many flavors; we decided to start the meal with the supposed sweet ending. I liked the Ceasar salad and I found the serving generous. The club sandwich came right after and it was pretty big. It was filling and packed with crunchy bacon and chicken. To be honest, the are not the best tasting specimens I have tried. Plus, the meal was pretty expensive, but in the end, you are really paying for the ambience.
Good food and high level of service for function room and ballroom guests. I joined a short talk from a bank recently and found the food and coffee delightful. The quiches were particularly nice.
I had several events here and whenever I had my meal experience whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner, I am always satisfied... Their food is perfectly amazing... Great Chef!! i super love everything... I had it in their Ballroom, during the Global Welness Day, The Honda Event , the amazon summit... it was all great dining experience!!!
While waiting for my turn to talk on a function at their Rizal Ballroom, I got invited by their beautiful lobby lounge. Maybe it was the nice smell too which is a signature on all their hotels.
I had a healthy serving of Berry with Yogurt. I love the combination of all types of berries paired with light yogurt and sweet syrup. It had a raspberry on it which is a rare treat.
To top the great wait experience is a well chilled Buko right on its shell. I will definitely come back to try their afternoon tea of any bread with beverage of choice for Php 350++
The interiors were grand and you can really feel you are in a luxurious place because they make you feel important.The food was awesome and rich, you can bring yor family, friends and special someone here and spend the entire afternoon listening to their live music while having tea

My wife and I have been here twice and, on both occassions, we were treated out by my sister-in-law. We have had Club Sandwiches in both instances. It's a huge sandwich filled with layers of veggies, cheese, ham, bacon and egg. It's not dry, unlike other similar sandwiches I've tried. The bacon that they use for it tastes really good -- smoky and honeycured. During the last time we went here, we've had Pancit Bihon. It's filled with shrimps, vegetables, squid balls and topped with big chunks of chicharon. This is one tasty and rich pancit bihon.
Roasted Lemon chicken!!! 😍 one of the best. W potatoes on the side! Their cookies are yummy too. (No picture tho 😁) 👌🏻😋.
Afternoon tea was the best thing, ever! Fancy meeting with lovely friends. Loved all the snacks that came along with the tea. It was just lovely. Keep it up, Makati Shangri-la! ;)

Best place for business discussion. Great live music with string ensemble, pianist or band. Afternoon tea at its nest. Helpful and unobstrusive staff
Best place to unwind with someone you love:-). Saka yun classical music nila na nakakarelax, yun ambience din ng lugar... Great food and there afternoon tea also:-)

The place itself boasts of grandeur and luxury, hence the price. The last time we were here, we were seated near the lounge singer so we got to enjoy great music. The ambiance is very relaxing with the soft lights. Service is good and fast.
When dining here, save around P1,500 to P2,000 for two people. It's a perfect place for celebrating special occassions and milestones.
