I love the food here! I always order the beef tenderloin in black pepper sauce and the sauteed assorted mushrooms. The taste always hits the spot! We’ve also tried other dishes and have never been disappointed. It’s pricey, but worth it. Service is also quite good. :)

Good chinese restaurant. There are so many chinese restaurants here in Manila but this one is one of my go to place and favorite. Good food, great service and good quality!
We used to go here before, and when we visited last month, the food’s good and service is quite fast. A bit pricey compared to other Chinese restaurants, but its still a worth visiting.
Okay so this review ay medyo past due. I don't usually post reviews kasi kapag trineat lang (nakakahiya kaya pumili)! Lol. Pero since nakapunta nako dito, reviewhin na din natin, sayang ng opportunity bes.
Unang una, may paPeanuts si Mayor! Yung matamis na version. Di ko sure kung dessert o appetizer ba yun, pero at least panlaban gutom na din.
Medyo pricey yung food! Eto yung pag iipunan mo din na type ng resto dahil medyo may kamahalan sya. Wala ako masyado alam sa chinese food maliban sa kanton, kaya medyo nahirapan din ako pumili.
We had the Hao Fan ata yun, basta yung malalaking noodles! Tapos yung lemon chicken, tapos may isa pa. Nakalimutan ko na. Wag kayo malito mga bes, dalawa menu nila, isang pula at isang brown.
Overall, masarap naman yung food. I would say, you can find another resto na way cheaper yung price...ehem...Binondo. Remember, Glorietta to, so expect mo na talaga!
Slightly aprub lang, pero kung gusto nyo talaga itry, go ahead. Siguraduhin lang na may budget.
When I first entered the restaurant, I already smell the typical Chinese restaurant but the colors of the walls to the tables are all brightly colored which makes me feel that it is not an old-fashioned restaurant!😊 But when I checked the menu, it is the same old traditional food which I looked forward to. I liked their cold cuts, sour soup, fish fillet in soy sauce & their crispy intestines (tasty like sha-e)! Hehe!😁 Be sure you have a fat wallet because you will really eat more.. heheheh!😅
Food was excellent! Serving sizes were appropriate. Quite expensive, though. Place is clean, airconditioning just right, but needs bigger space because a lot of big groups dine there. Worth re-visiting, if you have the budget :)
Good chinese restaurant, sits right below glorietta 4. More than enough servings for 3-4 pax. Must try their Fried Chicken and yang chow rice.
My friend and i had the spinach shrimp dumplings and half pecking duck both were amzing. Iv had the dumplings 3 times. And the pecking duck was succulent and juicey. The remaining meat was mxied with diced vegies to put in lettuce up taste delicious and was light. I have also ordered take from the restaurant the mango shrimp and chicken satue is tasty stirfry dishes
Simply Delicious! Provided a very authentic Chinese cuisine experience. All dishes were cooked to perfection. One of the best Chinese restaurants that I have been so far. All dishes very different yet with addicting tastes. Their green pepper Lapu Lapu and spicy beancurd are my top favorites. Definitely going back to this place in the near future.
I..love..this..restaurant. *bow*
I had the chance to try this beforw but was really disappointed when it closed down. Well, their place was pretty worn out before.
Not sure when they opened to the public but, what a comeback! The place was brighter and all stuff are new (I think).
The food is still good as ever. This time, we ordered Vegetarian Fried Rice, Stir-fry Kangkong, HK White Chicken, and Taro Duck Puff.
HK White Chicken was delish! It's not your typical bland steamed chicken and very tasty. The ginger sauce is amazing. Best ginger sauce I have tasted.
Kangkong and fried rice were also on point. Taro Duck Puff was pretty unique. Mom didn't like it as much since she's not into fried food. But, this dish perfectly married the creaminess of the taro and the juiciness of the duck. We topped off our dinner with the usual Mango Sago. Their Mango Sago is also yummy. Not too watery and you can really taste the mango goodness.
In addition, our server was very attentive. He would always check on us and ask if we needed anything else.
Definitely well-recommended. If you are looking for a more-than-decent chinese restaurant, this is the place to be!

I started dining at this restaurant with my family when I was younger. My dad fell in love with their congee and it's the only thing we came back for every weekend. Years have passed. My family doesn't visit here anymore (well because there are a lot of new and better restaurants now), but I still occasionally do. I would often come with friends. As you compare then and now, you can see that the service is somewhat getting poorer, although it still has a royalty fine dining concept, but staffs are slower in service. Nevertheless, food is still good.
Their chicken wanton soup is a staple in my every visit. The chicken soup is very rich and you will know that it has been simmered for hours with the whole chicken. The meat is very tender from all the simmering and the wonton is flavorful and adds the needed texture to the soup. It is actually a meal in itself if you don't eat carbohydrates.
Servings are rather small for a banquet, and a little pricey, but there is always some dish to come back for. I love the crispy fried intestine, they fry it perfectly and only a few restaurants can do so. The assorted dimsum is a delight to the eye and to the tastebuds. The prawn sotanghon in pot is also nicely done. The glass noodles are flavored with shrimp taste. A favorite now would be their steamed chicken with soy and leeks and for my father-in-law, beef tendon hot pot.
The experience of dining feels like eating with the king. The tea is paid but they came from a vacuum-packed seal, and whatever is left will be given to you.
Modern China Restaurant is quite easy to find, located right beside the Glorietta 4 mall entrance, good for family eat outs on weekends. They have one section for about 20 people, with dividers in case you are planning on a private family event, separate from the rest of the restaurant.
We got assorted cold cuts, birthday noodles, crab and corn soup, chicken served with sticky "kutsinta"-like side, fried chicken, tempura, fish in tomato sauce and deep fried salt and pepper crab. Their food is typical Chinese food with nothing standing out in particular. Much like what you would expect from other restos. Their waiters were quite slow with our requests of drink refills, etc, although I'm not quite sure if it was because we were in the isolated part of the restaurant.
Great Service! Awesome food choices. The food quality is at par with the price! 😆 you guys should eat here. Already added to my Favorite chinese restaurants!
Friendly staffs
Delicious chinese cuisine! 😄

All I can say is: They do not disappoint. They have GOOD FOOD.
Was satisfied with everything we ordered- from the appetizers (hakaw, shrimp & pork siomai, chicken feet), to the main dishes (peking duck, braised sea cucumber, chicken & beef), and even the yang chow rice.
Superb customer service.
Best-tasting hakaw I've tasted so far!
Great food alhough there are some misses like the steamed fish in chili sauce was too salty the last time we ate there. it's Always nice to have some soy chicken or polanchay soup. Some foods are reasonably priced, but some are kinda pricey because of the rare ingredients they use. Truly authentic.
This is one of my family's go-to Chinese restaurants in Makati. We find their dishes very good tasting and always presented nicely. Personally, I think Modern China (together with its sister company Modern Sichuan) offers the best Peking Duck in Metro Manila (2nd place would be Choi Garden's).
I wouldn't list down all the great dishes that we've tried here because there's just too many. If you want great tasting Chinese food, look no further. Modern China won't disappoint. If you're in BGC though, go to Modern Sichuan instead, it's owned by the same people.
Good food. I love their cram and corn soup. One of the best I've tried... Lapu-lapu is indeed very delicious. I always order tempura whenever a restaurant offers it, i can say this is not one of the best I've had come across though. But overall experience wil be remembered. Staff is very nice and attentive. Place is superb. Spacy and cozy
Modern China is one of the best Chinese restaurants (Cantonese cuisine) in Metro Manila. The design of their menu reminds me of Beijing's famous Da Dong. Steamed suahe, lapu-lapu, and crabs are delicious. We love its Peking Duck. Today, we tried the Duck Ham. It tasted like Christmas ham. We also tried steamed lapu lapu with green pepper for a change from the usual steamed with soy sauce. If you love spicy dish, then try it. We also had fried large intestines, which you don't always find in Chinese restos here. The stir fry celery with cuttlefish was cooked well---celery was crunchy and cuttlefish wasnt overcooked. We also had siomai for starters. Dip it with black vinegar (not toyomansi please). A bit pricey but cheaper than Jade Garden.
