Huge servings, affordable, loved the vegetable chopsuey, chicken tastes fulfilling, only the drinks didn't satisfy but the rest including the house tea satisfies you, staff should avoid removing plates while customers are still eating, Luk Yuen is a well loved Chinese restaurant for me, good food-
Food: 4/5
We got Peppercorn Spareribs, Beef Brisket, Halo-Halo Congee, Boneless Chicken in Lemon Sauce, Taiwanese-Style Chicken Noodle Soup and last but def not the least, Hakaw!👌 Not much of a Chinese cuisine eater, but I must say their Hakaw was a bomb that I ordered 3 sets.😅
Price: 4/5
Reasonably priced.
Service: 3/5
It wasn't that crowded when we got there but took us several attempts to order our drinks.
The price is just right for the quality and quantity of food. Staff are accommodating but they look tired, to be fair we arrived an hour before their closing time. Nothing special on the restaurant.
See vlog here https://youtu.be/DcnSfa8qWNk
I'm happy they be expanded before you could only get this in gh. Food wasn't what is like 15 years ago but for quick Chinese in glorietta it hits the spot. We got the fried rice and the beef mami and spareribs. Service was fast but it's kinda hard to get their attention.
Service is really good and fast. We didn’t wait long for our food.
Taste - great!
Serving size- good for two. Rice toppings are good for one, you’ll be full to the brim though 😄
Price- fair. We ordered 1 fried bean curd, 1 beef ampalaya, 1 pork spare ribs, 1 fried dimsum rice toppings with iced tea and our total bill is 1,140.
Ambience - clean but quite warm
My favorite Chinese restaurant in Glorietta/Greenbelt.
It is the best value for money Chinese restaurant for me. We love their Yong Chow fried rice, chicken and corn soup, flat noodles with beef.
Love their house tea. Always help with soothing the taste bud after the food.
The crews are always attentive and friendly.
Ambiance: ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Their food here is really delicious!! I love it! But the servers were slow. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this place.
Their service crew team is like a well-oiled machine. I almost didn’t fall in line because there were a lot of people, but I was seated almost immediately. Food doesn’t take ages to reach your table.
Yangchow tapos ung rolled seaweed heaven ❤️❤️❤️ The best chinese restaurant na natikman medj malayo nga lang sa amin pero sarap sulit kaso medj mahirap tawagin servers yung iba kunwari hindi tinatawag :/
Food: reasonably priced
Good for families
Ambience: clean interiors and big area
AFI: we ate here on a relaxed (not full house) day but had to follow up with a couple of orders. But it could have been because they were cooking the food well. Which is good.
My favorite chinese restaurant so far! The food is great! Very affordable, and generous serving. Walang hindi masarap. To its price, mapapakain mo na buong baranggay. Mabilis ang pag'serve ng food. However, need to improve their CR and service. Yung mga staff kahit ilang ka ng mang'hinge ng water and tissue, ang tagal bago ka mabigyan.
Luk Yuen is one of my favorite chinese restaurants! Everything we ordered was delicious! I really love their pancit-style. Serving was good for 2-3 persons.
Overall, I only gave 4 because the service was slow.
Of all the Chinese restaurants I've eaten at, I can't believe I'm saying this, because I usually base my rating on Siomai, Dumplings or Sweet and Sour Pork, but I like their Halo-Halo Congee, the consistency of the soup was quite smooth and doesn't feel like it'll get stuck in your throat unlike the other places I have eaten at. Also, their servings are quite big and their prices are reasonable.
I'm giving 4 stars as I have yet to try their other dishes.
Inspite of the holiday rush, we were accommodated and seated immediately. Water and utensils were provided promptly as well. The waiters were busy but they responded and provided our needs everytime we made request. Ordering, serving of food and settling the bill were processed smoothly.
Ambiance is ok and the place is neat and tidy.
We liked the food, nothing spectacular... the taste is decent.
A classic favorite for their congee and dimsum. Pork and quail egg siomai are my favorites alongsode beef brisket or wanton noodles. 4-stars for quality and taste
Had no photos because my phone was dead that time. We were in line because there were alot of people dining in but wala pang 10 mins nakapwesto na rin kami. The restaurant is spacious, may second floor pa siya.
Para sa akin sulit siya and mura compared sa ibang Chinese restaurants. We were 10 that time and our bill reached only 4k. Tapos sobrang busog pa kami. Masarap lahat ng pagkain, we had chopseuy, chicken and the squid fillet, their fried tofu is one of my favorite, ang premium ng lasa ng tofu. Ang sarap nung spices na nakabudbod. Ang yung yang chow, ang generous ng hipon.
This place is always packed! Love their iced tea also! It just sucks they don’t have my favorite combo like other Chinese restaurants (Century Egg with seaweeds). Try also their sweet and sour fish and pork. Oh and their yangchow has a decent sized shrimps 👌🏽
Place has good ambiance. Food is really worth it for the price. Recommended for people who likes chinese food. Staff are accomodating and friendly.
A cheap and quick Chinese fix when in Makati. I like how the selection of food fits my interests and my family's. Just a straight-forward Chinese menu, probably less of MSG, because as opposed to other Chinese restaurants, we didn't feel dizzy despite the amount of food we ate. I like their quick service and attentiveness to our needs. Good job to Glorietta team!
Luk Yuen is our go-to restaurant if we want to eat comfort food. Their beef brisket and wanton noodles and peppercorn spareribs are superb! I think their yang chow fried rice is a bit overpriced for its serving size.
Food:
Chinese cuisine are the best and luk yuen is one of the restaurants with best chinese cuisine.
Rating: 8/10
Service:
Their service is not bad, unfortunately some of their waiters and waitresses have negative aura well it's given since luk yuen have hundreds of customers per day.
Rating: 7/10
Place:
The ambience in luk yuen is nice, clean, and cozy. However, if it's meal hours or there's an occassions the place became so crowded. Well I can understand it since their food is good.
Big place that can accomodate hundreds of customers
8/10
Along the way to Dad's Glorietta, we passed by Luk Yuen, our family's favorite Chinese restaurant. Being too hungry to wait for the buffet, we decided to dine in Luk Yuen instead. That was not my first time dining in that branch. I tried eating alone and I was fulfilled and it didn't cost much.
Negative first before positive. I didn't like the
When on a budget and craving for chinese food, Luk Yuen is always our choice when in Glorietta. Food taste good, big serving, affordable price! Don't forget to ask for the wanton chips. It's free!
One of the top 3 Chinese Food Chains you should go to! The consistency of the food in all branches is quite amazing notwithstanding the fact that they use fresh ingredients and that they cook our food upon order.
This branch was spacious, cold, and the servers are fast and attentive. Don’t be shy to ask for anything- they’ll be willing to help. We were not sure what to eat that day so we just ask for some suggestions and we didn’t go wrong in trusting them.
The quality of the food, cleanliness of the place, and good service was exceptional considering how affordable the food were! Good job, Luk Yuen!
Since childhood, I remember my grandfather treats us at Luk Yuen every single week when he was still alive but at the Cash and Carry branch since that's near his place. Default orders for me were their Radish Cake and Taro Puff.
The Glorietta branch is relatively newer than the one in Cash and Carry. I always go back for their Halo-Halo Congee and my usual dimsums. Aside from my usual Taro Puff and Radish Cake, I love their Pork Siomai. I ordered their seafood roll wrapped in nori, quite expensive since 3 pcs costs P198 but really yum!
They offer bentos and rice toppings. I love their Spareribs with Satay sauce and Chicken Feet toppings. A bit pricey for a bowl of toppings worth more than P250 but they do not disappoint. By the way, the toppings already includes their house iced tea.
The place has higher prices now but during times when I'm craving and in a nostalgic mood, I still go back to Luk Yuen.
Service is good, dishes are reasonably priced and serving size is competitive.
Had the 'Taiwanese Style' chicken noodle soup in regular size that came with generous portions of noodles and soup and about a quarter of chicken cut in bite-size pieces topped with 3 basil leaves.
The stock came from a base of standard noodle soup Luk Yuen usually uses topped with a special kind of chili sauce and fried garlic.
I was half offended to have been told by the cook/s inside that the topping sauce they used is the same as the chili sauce on the table when I asked for more "Taiwanese sauce." Which, later, after confirming so many times, that, in fact, it was not.
Proper service, portions, and quality of food. Definitely a go-to quick Chinese fix.
Childhood favorite and comfort food. They have the best wanton noodle soup and dumplings in chili sauce! Their iced tea is refreshing and is the perfect drink to the dishes. Their fried tofu is light but delicious. Try their siomai & hakao, one of the top places to eat dimsum. The price is also not that bad, considering the quality of the food.
Ordering for just 2 persons in a Chinese restaurant is tricky. You end up either with too much food or with unhappy tummies.
But this bento set (ordered extra rice!) only Php490 and came with Snowball for dessert!
The shredded pork and century egg congee is hands down the best porridge. The spicy dumplings are a succulent option.
Trust me on the congee.

Ordered:
1. Stir-fried flat noodles with beef (must try)
2. Beef brisket and wanton
3. Pork siomai
4. Fries prawn dumplings
5. Spicy beef noodle
Overall I enjoyed our feast here with my family. Budget friendly and it reallly tasted good. There are 4 of us and we only paid 1,005php. Customer service is excellent. Continue the good taste and excellent customer service 😊
I have passed by Luk Yuen countless of times already but I had never really thought of eating here until recently.
We ordered a Wanton Noodle Soup, Boneless Chicken in Lemon Sauce, Fish Fillet in Sweet & Sour Sauce, and Seafood Fried Rice.
The noodle soup in itself had a very mild flavor that it was almost tasteless. The wanton in it, however, was good. The chicken and the fish were both equally delicious but I'm more inclined to the Fish Fillet in Sweet & Sour Sauce. We took home some leftovers and one thing I observed about the Chicken in Lemon Sauce is that, once left to cool, the lemon sauce becomes too sticky and sweet. The Seafood Fried Rice was normal, in my opinion. It was difficult to distinguish its taste when eating it together with our other food orders.
For the place, Luk Yuen has a high ceiling so it really looks spacious. I've seen it during busy hours so the place really gets full during the peak hours.
For the service, I was a bit confused who to call because everyone seemed so busy. I think we called the attention of about 4 waitstaff only within the short duration of our stay.
We were looking for a place in Glorietta that would provide value for money and it was a decision of the majority that we proceed to Luk Yuen.
The interiors of this restaurant is quite welcoming as it looks spacious with its high ceiling. From outside, it seemed peaceful as compared to where I was standing... I was at some spot near the entrance between Landmark and Glorietta.
We ordered the the large congee, small halo halo congee, satay, and spare ribs rice bowl. The congee was pretty good and the satay was really tender and flavorful. We only paid around 660 for a good meal for 3. The only negative thing I could say about the restaurant was that some of the seats need re upholstering as it looks ripped off. Service is ok.
I wanted to have some dim sum when I was in the Philippines with my husband earlier in the year but due to our short trip and our long list of "must eat" places we were not able to eat here. So, on another trip I decided I needed to try this place. I ordered the seafood roll, radish cake, hakaw shrimp dumplings and one other thing which I can't remember what it is right now. I liked everything except the hakaw shrimp. The wrap was too chewy and thick. I'd like to come back and try some other things on the menu.
Our family continued celebrating Chinese New Year today in Luk Yuen. It's one of the most affordable and authentic Chinese restaurants. I have loved this resto since I first stepped in their branch in Greenhills more than two decades ago. I used to always order their bola-bola congee back then because I love their bola-bola (pork balls) and the yummy crispy chips on top. 😁
Today, I ordered this equally delicious wanton noodles. It's been a while since I ordered noodle soup here so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that used vegetable noodles.😊 I forgot to order the small one so I just shared this regular bowl with my Mom and hubby.
Luk Yuen is one of the few restos that was able to maintain the taste and quality of their food over the years. Di s'ya tinipid but at the same time, their food is still affordable. Their staff are also very courteous and attentive. Their rice toppings and bento meals are the most sulit for P200-300! You should keep coming back to try all the items in their menu. 😁 💜💜💜💜💜
I really thought that Luk Yuen is an expensive Chinese restaurant. My friend introduced me here since we were really hungry and was craving for Chinese noodles.
Luk Yuen's Beef Brisket and Wanton Noodles Soup is the best. Too bad that their small serving for it is not enough for my big appetite. Hehe.
I have to say that their store is actually nice.; clean and elegant looking. Choose your tables wisely though, some of the tables are direct to the aircon's breeze, and it can be reaaaaally cold.
FOOD: 4.5/5.0 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
PLACE/LOCATION: 4.0/5.0 🌟🌟🌟🌟
SERVICE: 3.5/5.0 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Just a quick comment. They have a lot of waiters in the location, but we had a hard time getting their attention(for the order, water, bill).
My hubby & I passed by this resto and saw their tarp. We looked at each other & read each other's mind. Comfort food of the day: CONGEE!
We ordered for a regular size of the Halo Halo Congee & had it split. It was really filling & oh so delicious.
We also ordered coffee jelly with mango ice cream. A different version of coffee jelly but really worth a try.
Value for money.
Happy tummy.
The only downside is the service, we find it slow.
March 1, 2019 visit
Still ordered our fave Halo Congee, taro bun & hakaw & house blend iced tea. Yummy!
Also, their service improved. Overall, it's still a...
#HappyTummy dining experience
At first I was intimidated by Luk Yuen. Thought it to be an expensive Chinese resto. Loved the steamed bun, and the spicy noodles. Good value for money.
Decent and affordable quick fix on days with chinese food cravings. I like the ambiance inside. Gets a little noisy when you sit outside. Serving size is ok if eating alone. Oh I like the chips that they serve before you get your order.
Luk Yuen!
This place is my staple go-to place when I can't think of new restaurants to try in Glorietta. Food is great. Service is decent.
I wish they had bigger servings though, cuz if they did, they'd get the 4.5+++ from me.
But for a good relaxing experience (they have great chips while you wait for your order), I'll give them a 4.
For me it's one of the institution restos in the Makati Supermart group owned by Peter Ng. I remember having good wanton mamis as a child here in the old greenbelt branch and it had the same flavor still!. I'm still satisfied with all the options they have and even their asado siopao looks temptingly good. The more meat rather than some of the siopaos that rely so much on more bun for this. Of course I won't pass up having some yummy wanton mami. Their small serving is perfect on the spot at the right price for 120 pesos. I would definitely return here for some quick dimsum fix if I do visit their glorietta branch once more.
One of my favorite budget chinese restaurants. The beef brisket with tendon noodle soup and deep fried cuttlefish is a must try. The honey lemon chicken is a favorite of my son, and the serving of yang chow is generous for the price.
Luk Yuen is a semi-fastfood Chinese restaurant in Glorietta 2, right before you cross the bridge to Landmark. The place is huge having two floors and a good number of tables. The place is also clean and there were adequate servers to answer to the needs of each customer.
What we got are the (1) fish fillet in sweet & sour sauce, (2) chicken strips noodles, (3) sizzling mixed vegetables with mushrooms, (4) yang chow fried rice, and (5) beef with bagoong fried rice. We're generally okay with everything except for #3. Looks like the veggies were not fresh and there was not a lot in the mix.
Overall, Luk Yuen is your go-to place if you want your Chinese food fix. The prices is very pocket-friendly and their serving size has an option if you want to go solo or for sharing.
Tea is served first. Yang Chao rice is enough for two persons. Cuttlefish platter tastes good. Soup in small size is i think also good for two. Serving time is not quite long. The next time we ate Seafood fried rice, seafood spring rolls and buttered boneless chicken (photos on top). Dishes are worth the price.
Noodles here are as good as always.
You can request to separate hot chili in their 8-pc dumplings.
My favorite place to go for iced tea! I don't have the right words to describe to you how absolutely amazing their iced tea is. Overall, food is great and hasn't been a disappointment in any way. As a lover of congee, I would give a biased rating and say you must go for their congee. Although waiting for your food to be served may take really long, you would be amazed at how efficiently the waiters and staff pack your food for takeout. Not only do they work like an assembly line, but they also package your meals in creative, innovative ways no restaurant has ever done thus far.
Luk Yuen is still my go to place if i want an instant fix for my dimsum/ chinese food cravings. Specially their rice toppings and dimsum choices which is a combination of the usual old favorites ( hakao and siopao) and a few signature ones (like the quail egg siomai).
For tonight's dinner, i tried a new menu item which was the beef bagoong rice. It is not a common combination, but I really love this dish, not too salty, and very flavorful. I can eat this rice alone all day! That's how good it was. For the main dish we tried the sizzling beef served on a sizzling plate. This dish was so-so for me. The beef was thinly sliced but a bit chewy for me. Maybe because it was slightly overcooked. I can't believe when they said it was sirloin strips because it was not tender at all. Then the other main dish we had was shrimp with cashew nuts. This one I liked, though the dish itself could use a bit of sauce, but the shrimps were big and sweet and there was a lot of cashew nuts that gives this dish a crunch. Dessert was almond jelly whose taste reminded me of all those dinners we had in Binondo when I was a child. Drinks was house blended Iced Tea.
Price was reasonable. Seating was ample enough, we came a few minutes before the dinner rush so we got seats right away. This restaurant had always been my favorite even from way back and I am glad that thru the years their food hasn't lost it's good quality and value for money.

Luk Yuen remains to be one of my personal favorites when it comes to Chinese cuisine. First is because I find Chinese food comforting, second is because of their Beef Wanton Noodles. I'm not a huge noodle fan in general but theirs has captured
my heart! Sometimes I'd visit a branch and have their noodles alone.
This is best for large groups because of their spacious and well-lit locations. Their food is reasonably priced, always perfectly seasoned (it's a Chinese joint, for heaven's sake!!!) and well presented. My biggest concern is that their staff are mostly busy and tired that they are neither friendly nor accommodating - a common situation in most Chinese restaurants 😑
Went here with my friends so we could meet the new "boyfriend". Loved the sweet and sour fish, crunchy on the outside just like eating a chip. Mixed rice is great, lots of shrimp and meat. The servers though were impersonal so you'd really get the "fastfood" treatment. Overall, I am satisfied. Would recommend this for daily meals but not for special ocassions.
I love everything about their taro puffs! Its crunchiness, the way it melts in your mouth and the flavor is perfect. The chili dumplings are also great & very filling even on its own. This is the place to go if you want good dimsum. :)
哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈中国餐厅,赞一个 。。。。。。。。。。。。。。但是为什么要写满140字??!!!!我也是醉了
why I have to write down 140 words?! As Chinese saying, I already feel drunk.😂
I have been eating here since I was a kid. Their version of Chinese delicacies never fail to satisfy my cravings. Priced just right, even for a restaurant situated in a mall.
We used to eat at Luk Yuen at their old branch across Landmark. Their new branch is very well designed and spacious. My favorite is the bola-bola congee. I also enjoy eating the taro puff, raddish cake, and cantonese ma-chang. I've also tried their rice meals such as sweet and sour pork, prawn dumplings with fried rice, taosi spareribs. All are good and recommended. Their iced tea shake is also refreshing. Price is not cheap but food quality is good.

This branch used to be located on Glorietta 5 but I think their new place in-between Landmark and Glorietta is a lot better. The whole ambience of the restaurant is truly inviting with a genuine oriental appeal. And I have yet to begin with their dishes.
Me and my family love what they do to their spareribs and beef brisket. The pieces of meat in the dishes are well-cooked and they blend well with any sauce. The other items that we ordered, the chicken bento and prawns are also delectable. We will never get tired of dining here! :)))
I love to eat here. This is my favorite chinese restaurant. My uncle always treat us here for lunch. My particular favorite is their chicken with lemon or orange, i dont remember but it is always delicious.. The place is nice and the ambiance is perfect..
A chinese restaurant at the middle of glorietta and landmark area.
Food 4.0/5.0 - look yuen offers chinese cuisine. We ordered some halo halo congee, radish cake, prawn fried dumpling , beef brocoli, crispy noodles with pork floss, beancurd with mushroom and lemon chicken. Based on our orders, must try is their lemon chicken, this dish is so flavorful. For the congee, it's typical congee nothing spectacular. Next is beancurd with mushroom, i didnt like this dish maybe the tofu is not so good. For the beef with brocoli, very soft beef and crispy broccoli which means it's not overcook. For the radish cake i prefer some sauce to be served.
Service 3.5/5.0 average service, we asked to have a seat at mezzanine level but it's not available yet.
Ambiance/location 4.5/5.0 - very clean and presentable interior, i like their design clean and transparent. For the location , the luk yuen is so easy to find . Just located near the bridgeway of landmark going to glorietta complex.
When dining ask them some promotional items, last week they offer 50% off on dimsums when you buy a congee or soup. Dont forget to try also their complimentary tea as you visit.
I'm not really a big fan of chinese food except siopao. But this one really gave me a great experience, chinese style! I and my girlfriend together with his dad went for dinner here last week. We orderd their peppercorn spareribs and beef broccoli. I was left speechles by their peppercorn spareribs. It was really flavorful inside and out plus the tendernes of its meat was superb! The price is reasonable for its taste and serving. These spareribs gave me a very nice hangover on my way home. I would really go back here again and bring my family with me!
We had our dinner here for our first night in the hotel. The staff are accommodating enough. Though you can see in their face that they are already tired because they are not really smiling and it's like about 9pm when we dined in there. I had congee and some dimsum. Their dimsum is just okay. Nothing special. My congee is good and big serving! I really love their pancits! Really tasty and not your ordinary pancit. The price is also affordable. This restaurant is something you can rely on when you're craving for affordable Chinese food.
I used to eat Luk Yuen branch in Cash & Cash because my office is few blocks away from there but this time, we're gonna try the one in Glorietta.
The verdict:
I wonder if Jade Garden Resto has something to do with Luk Yuen because it seems like they're on the same place? Well moving on...
I was happy that despite the busy hour, staff are attentive to give us seats while waiting for vacant table since we're a group of 11. It was a family dinner and my dad wants to eat in a Chinese Restaurant.
The food we ordered are the following:
Chicken and Corn Soup, Steamed Dimsum like Hakaw Shrimp Dumplings, Pork Siomai Of course! And Beef with Broccoli, Sweet & Sour Pork, Deep Fried Cuttle Fish, and Braised-beancurd with Mushroom, Stir Fried Udon with Beef. Of course Yang chow Fried Rice to complete our meal. Everything was served well but i hate it when they serve it one at a time. They should serve it one time when all our orders are ready. My favorites are the hakaw, siomai, the Stir Fried Udon with beef and beef with broccoli! :-)
What i love about Luk Yuen is that they serve free fried wanton chips (not sure with the name) and service hot tea while waiting for your order.
For the price: i think its reasonable. For a group of 10 pax prepare Php 3000 - 3500 depending on your set & orders. :-)

We celebrated the birthday of an officemate here and decided to get one of their group meals.
Wanton chips - this is a complimentary appetizer served to all diners. It was really crispy and though I am not sure, it would be better if they offer this as unlimited.
Boneless chicken in lemon sauce - the chicken was tender and surprisingly, the lemon sauce was not overpowering.
Stir-fried beef with broccoli - another yummy dish, especially that it was a combination of veggies and meat, makes it healthy in a way. Hehe :-)
Sweet and sour pork - meat was tender and I liked that the sauce was just right, just the right blend of sweet and sour.
Fried noodles with shredded pork - the "birthday noodles" for us. Big serving, yummy, and had lots of ingredients.
We were 6 in the group and surprisingly, it was just enough for us. All dishes in the group meal tasted good.
As for the service, staff were courteous and efficient. Ambience is casual and the place is ideal for groups, be it friends or families.
The place was really good and they serve really delightful meals. We tried their buttered chicken which was really tasty and would be my favorite & their beef and mushroom. The desserts are really good! We tried their mango sago and strawberry ice cream and we are not disappointed. Their siomai is a must-try!
Firstly, good and efficient service, from the staff. Even from the kuya guard--acting not only as a security guard but a frontliner, being the one giving the menu to customers, asking those waiting in line to have a seat, or calling out to customers when it's their turn to go inside. Kudos to you kuya!
Anyway, was also pleasantly surprised with the ambiance of the resto because it looked clean and fresh. One thing I usually don't like about Chinese restos is that it looks and feels dirty, sticky and crowded (ie., most Chowking chains), but not here in Luk Yuen. Hope they'll be able to sustain this.
Lastly, cheap, yummy Chinese food. Lots of options, servings are big enough for the cost efficient prices. Also like the fact that extra soup for the mami is free, upon request. Will love to go back here 😊

Just can't get enough of their peppercorn spareribs ?golden fried chicken? ..their chicken & corn soup is a great starter as well..for those with big appetites, you'll surely love their bento meals served with snow balls & house blend iced tea?☺
As their tagline proudly shouts " There's more to hot noodles ", indeed there's a whole lot of good things that can come at you when dining at Luk Yuen!
Luk Yuen had always been an exciting & satisfying go to for our oriental cravings, in fact I've had some glaring recalls of my childhood having dined at most if not all their branches. What's good about this brand is that it changes & evolves with the times from dish concepts to interiors & facade. Their old Glorietta 2 branch was my favorite chow stop then it moved to what is now Saboten at G5 & has now settled inside G4 with a an awesome new look!
I like the facelift Luk Yuen in Glorietta has undergone, from the wooden fixtures, to the seats, lighting & that legendary counter has been transformed into a bar! They have become modern but stayed true to their roots
Our recent visit led us to a fullhouse with an avg wait time of 15 mins. After securing a table, server gave a quick rundown of their bestsellers & rounded up w/ their set meals. We tried their Set Meal 1 @ P1,600 for 4-6 foodies, the combo includes Corn soup, 8 pcs of deep fried Beancurd which were crazy crunchy , The tangy Sweet & Sour Pork, Braised e fu seafood noodles - rich flavorful sauce w/ fresh leaves & plump shrimps, a bowl of Yang Chow, pitcher of Iced tea & a mean serving of Stuffed Eggplant. That was a pretty good deal!
The Mapo Tofu w/ beef (P250) had gigantic flavors, love the spicyness on the soy cubes! Of course we also took a stab at the old reliables - The Raddish cake @ P95 is a perpetual fave! The Asado Pao (P100), Shrimp Hakaw (P155), King Dao pork noodles (P180) & Fried noodles w/ shredded pork (P269) have all kept to tradition. The Spicy Beef noodles (P180) stood out for me, very typical of those great Taiwanese versions of the bowl.
Service is consistently fast, some dishes took longer to come out but quite understandable given the fullhouse. Price ranges have moved a notch higher but still reasonable w/ all the improvements in facade, interiors & food types. Luk yuen remains to be a good pick in satisfying huge oriental hunger!
This is one of my favorite childhood restaurants and I'm so happy they are now in Glorietta 2! I remember how my grandparents would take me to Luk Yuen for merienda and I will always be one delighted kid! :)
They seriously serve the best congee in the metro and I really love their dimsum selection.
Affordable, quick and really good Chinese food! ;)
Super love their Pan Fried Radish Cake and their tasty Dimsums! Wide selection of dishes on their menu. Great new location here at Glorietta!
The place is very pleasant, service crews were very helpful. We chose to dine in the second floor.
We ordered 1 C7 Halo Halo Congee 180php, it was good but I prefer the Congee with Century Egg.
1 B3 Fish Bento 295php; quail eggs siomai, vege noodles, fried rice, fish in sweet and sour sauce, snow ball dessert and Iced Tea.
I love 1 K16 Fish Taosi 270php, this is good for 2 people.
1 N50 King Dao Pork; dry noodles with king dao pork. The pork is flavorful and tender, noodles was good it would’ve been perfect but the sauce wasn't enough.
We still enjoyed it though, definitely.

I am so happy Luk Yuen reopened in a much, much bigger space. We love this restaurant. It's one of our fail-safe, fool-proof, go-to Chinese restaurant! Their Hakaw is the best. Will definitely keep coming back here. :)
If you are looking for Chinese cuisine, try Luk Yuen. Since I was a kid, our family love to eat to any outlet of Luk Yuen. Until now, we still eat in Luk Yuen. We always order Spring rolls, Seafood rolls, Braised beef dry noodles and Yangchow. After we eat, we drink their refreshing House blend tea. I recommend it because it is very affordable!
