Jamaican patty has it's pinatubo,it's my favorite.I love the spicyness and the crispy covering and it's meatiness
Lucky to find this stall at Greenbelt 1. I was rushing yet I needed something to eat and Jamaican patties seemed to be the fastest food I can grab around the area. The place has a counter style dining arrangement where up to 4 or 5 people can eat altogether. I like the beefy tomato and cheezy beef. You can feel that they didn’t skimp on the filling. From where I sat I could see the patties baked in the oven so really they are true to their claim that their patties are baked, not fried.
I’m not sure if this is their first branch but it’s been there since I was a kid. Even the lay out of the place is still the same as I’ve remembered it. They have a few seats available at the back. They have different flavors to choose from but I always go for the Cheesy Beef. I don’t usually like flaky types of bread but their pattie’s an exception. And they always serve it hot.
de Original Jamaican Pattie Shop is truly the original in the country. It started out decades ago, and there are other establishments that have tried to get into the pattie game with little to no success.
My love for Jamaican patties started out in this Greenbelt branch when I was a kid. And if I am not mistaken, this is their first branch. Also, the Pinatubo was one of the first few things in the past that started my love for spicy food.
It's been awhile since I went to this branch. There is one close to my work place in Pasig, and it's a kiosk, and that's the one I frequent most. But lunch with a friend in the area made me spot something that I have never seen.
Hungarian Sausage! Out of all the sausages in the world, the Hungarian without a doubt is my favorite. I love the slight saltiness that it has with it's bold notes of black pepper. Now in a pattie?! Even though I was super full after my lunch, seeing that made me want to try it out, along with a Pinatubo of course.
It had nice chunks of sausage. It also had some slivers of red pepper to give it that nice extra heated kick. That heat had just a light buzz that didn't over power the black pepper taste that Hungarian sausages are mainly known for.
Verdict: I loved it! Just bummed that they don't have it at the branch near work. Perhaps it's because of the kiosk just having a turbo to reheat delivered patties as opposed to having a full blown oven like in this Greenbelt branch.
The chairs at the side is a great nook to sit in. Grab that nice red hot sauce bottle, and I literally squeeeze some out on every bite.
Food: 5.0 - Love all the patties! Even the not spicy ones taste yummy.
Price: 5.0 - Around P60 it is light and filling. Nothing too heavy on the stomach or the wallet.
Service: 5.0 - Fast! The patties are just there. Point to what you want, and you got it. Stays nice and warm in the container, but having it fresh hot out of the oven is always better.
Ambience: 4.0 - The little nook at the side with 2-3 chairs only good for solo diners. Light isn't too bright, so it really isn't a place were one stays long and reads, uses wifi, meetings, etc. Really just a grab, eat and go place.
Double thumbs up! Bob Marley approved. I just wish there was something spicier than Pinatubo. They should level up their spicy game as there are now many peeps that enjoy really spicy food.

Still good after all these years. But needs to be meatier. There’s just not enough meat.
The bread is what I come back for here. It’s flaky and yummy.
My favorites are Original Beef, Cheesy Beef, and Beefy Mushroom! During Holy Week, we remember that they have Tuna. Dining space is good for passersby with a couple of high chairs, but we usually go here for takeout.
I miss the good ol' days when Jamaican Patties were still very new in Metro Manila and worth only Php25 a piece.
A quickbite favorite of mine,if I'm tired of run of the mill fast food ,de Original Jamaican PattIe is my go to place.
Those all time favorite flavors from the original beef, beef Pinatubo, beefy mushroom and chicken stew that's few of choices.Same nice piping hot pattie perfect for a budget friendly yet fulfilling meal, another plus factor of this branch is the juice bar, they have an array of fresh fruit juices ,partial with watermelon and buco flavors.
Service is friendly too, nice bar like seats too.
I love its cheesiness and spicy. Beef is generously in here and a flavorful base bread. They always serve it hot. I'd always drop by this shop at Greenbelt whenever i need some stomach feeler while at the mall and it never fail me. I'd love their spicy pinatubo and cheesy beef ^^
Jamaican Pattie is my favorite snack. I stumbled upon this years ago when I was roaming around the mall. I love their Beef Pinatubo, Cheesy Beef, and Beef and Mushroom.
Tried their original beef today. I must say that it really tastes delicious. I'm ready to try the other flavors next time! Wanna try the spicy one.
I was introduced to this place by my wife back when we started dating. I already tried them before this time but making this small place in a Greenbelt a "date place" where you sit on those clunky stools, order a couple of Pinatubos (and a couple more) and a couple more, as you talk about inconsequential stuff and (discreetly) talk about the other couple beside you and speculate why they're talking in hushed tones, with the guy looking over his shoulder a lot. Always had good memories eating in different branches of De Original. I guess the challenge in "eating in" in these branches is there is almost always no place nor surface to eat. You'd have to, the way a shark around a drowning human would, casually circle around the area, (like the one in Park Square before) without having to sit on one of those steps (and be reprimanded by a guard telling you there is no sitting on those steps), all the while maintaining a good distance from the countertop where the precious hot sauce squeeze bottle is located (I was obsessed with their hot sauce, and after asking around, found out that they use Sunshine hot sauce, yes the ones made in Malabon), and ordering one small drink, which you'd then have to sip sparingly to wash over the fire on your tongue as the budget for a larger one was nil. Yeah, Jam pat is good. So good, it brings back memories.
Up: a nice way to spend an extra P50, until you realize that that's your cab fare
Down: Difficult to get a seat sometimes, especially when there are couples dating.

I'm a big fan of Beef Pinatubo!
Insanely spicy, ultra beefy and definitely filling. Jamaican Pattie is one of those little food shops that have perfected their craft, and that is being able to offer satisfyingly great-tasting quick bites for people on-the-go. I like to eat my Beef Pinatubo when I'm sleepy and need to perk up in the afternoon. At P48 a piece, you would not think twice to grab one.
If you are looking for quick, simple and cheap yet flavourful snack to munch on while strolling around Greenbelt, this is the place to go to! I'm not really a fan of anything spicy except this one! Haha. My favorite is their Cheezy Beef! For only Php55, this food could literally make me happy! Hahaha 😛
Not really a fan of jamaican pattie. But when i gave it a try, i was hooked by its taste. Iike their chessy beef jamaican pattie. You can really taste the cheese. The ground beef filled in it is also plenty. Good light snack. Haven't tried other flavors aside from it.
My comfort food whenever I am in a rush and has no time to wait in a line nor stay in a restaurant to eat. It is so heavy on the stomach and is soooo tasty. I love that they have lessened the grease unlike before. I dig their pinatubo and cheese flavor
Everybody seems loves Jamaican Patty and I am one of those that craves for it from time to time. It is soooooo tasty and satisfying at the same time. One patty is enough to fill your empty stomach and very delicious too.
Love Jamaican Patties! Cheesy Beef Pinatubo is my favorite. My happy pill. They have a bigger Jamaican patty branch in Greenbelt 1, because mostly they only are just kiosk. They have chairs where you can sit while you wait (or eat while you wait). They also have friendly staff and they keep it clean always.
Eversince I tasted this, my taste buds always craves for it from time to time. When every fastfood chain in Greenbelt 1 is full and the line is unbearable, this little kiosk here is always there to give my favorite Pinatubo Pattie. It is just messy to eat when you are in dark place like the cinema.

I love Jamaican patties!! Especially the beef pinatubo. It was really superb. I'm really in to spicy foods plus their beef is tender and it is indeed a very good combination.
Oh I love Jamaican patties!! My all time favorite is CHEEZY BEEF! Before I go to work & before I go home, I will buy Jamaican pattie. How abt you? What is your fave? Hmmm
We were headed to Bonifacio Global City but the line to get a cab is long. We thought of buying a food that we can munch that won’t be messy while we are standing on the line. We decided to give Jamaican Pattie Shop a try. I was curious what’s that Pinatubo variant is, the seller told us it’s the spicy one. Since I like spicy foods I bought it but I wasn’t convinced it will be up to my spicy standard so I asked for an extra spicy sauce. True enough, I didn’t experience that Pinatubo explosion of spiciness even after pouring sauce in my every bite. But for a normal eaters standard I think that was spicy enough. Anyways, I still like it though
My rating for Jamaican Pattie Shop Makati:
Place: 3
Price: 4
Ambiance: 3
Food: 3.5
Service: 3
It's been there since early high school and I'm glad I still see it to this day. Please don't ever go away! When I'm in Greenbelt I make it a point that I drop by this place to buy Pinatubo. So yummy.
