Their Braised Lamb Shank, is a trully must try. The quality of the Australian lamb tastes fresh and cooked just right, I like the sauce that matches my sides of garlic-mashed potato and creamy spinach. Its a truly must try for those whose craving for some lamb shank. #ChryzhFoodies
I have been frequenting this restaurant for years. The food is what I consider my kind of comfort food. Through the years, they have been consistent and the food has been great! I always get the herb infused popcorn, pork chop, and blue cheese walnut salad.
The ambiance has improved especially after the renovation, although the mosquitoes have always been a problem.
The service is stellar. I love all the waiters; they are accommodating and friendly. Even the guard is really nice.
I would definitely go back again and again.
One of the classic go to restaurants in Salcedo. The place serves good breakfast. Servers here are well trained to provide patrons with best in class service.
Food was very pricey but worth it! They had big servings and quality meals. We also claimed 2 + 2 drinks. Grilled blue marlin and baby back ribs are a must-try. Also loved their desserts!

My friend and I went for lunch here. We love their corned beef breakfast. Place is very quiet and relaxing. Will definitely come back here soon.
Their carbonara is sooo creamy and cheesy! Love love love it! They also serve real fresh juices, not like other restaurants where they claim to offer “fresh juices” but in fact are just from cans/packs. Plus, the staff are so nice and polite! 😊
Went for breakfast on Sunday morning and was amazed by the great taste there. Ordered three egg omelette with veggies and toast, apartment 1B great breakfast which is huge with almost everything on the spread, egg Benedict and the pancakes with orange... everything was perfect and amazing taste. Even the omelette was probably the best ever eaten. And the coffee and also the chocolate Oreo shake was equally nice and complementing the food.
Recommend it hugely.
The Damage (no drinks): Php 1,200-2,000 for two
Eatery known dor their all-day brunch far but also this bistro also serves one of the better comfort food fare in the city. We recommend the Eggs Benedict and the Grilled Blue Marlin.
~~TRY😍:

Tucked in the busy streets of Makati, the vibe of the restau has that homey cozy feeling partnered with their sumptuous menu.
The staff is very professional and accommodating but just importantly, the quality of food does not disappoint
Professional staff. I always get the Eggs Ben and ask them to split it. Half goes to whoever's with me. I loooove their spiced pepper!!
Eggs Benedict (php460, 2-pc Canadian ham ) - good with ham, best with salmon
Egg Breakfast (php390, smoked bacon)
One of the best comfort foods in the Metro. Ambience is good for dates and meetings. The place is a bit small, so if it’s the peak hours - it might be packed. My dad isn’t a fan of fine dining food or anything that’s not Chinese food - but he loves this place. That’s saying something.Another underrated restaurant. It deserves more good reviews! My favorite dish from Apartment 1B would have to be their grilled samosas! Its crispy outer layer blends well with its cheesy filling. I’m also a big fan of their soups. Apartment 1B brings out the rich flavors of their ingredients. Ordered their French Onion Soup and Corn Chowder. And for the main entrees, Steak and Eggs as well as the Roasted Salmon was cooked to perfection. Gotta commend them for a job well done with the mashed potatoes that come along with the salmon. Exceptional! Would definitely come back here. And I rarely give 5 stars reviews. This is a must try! ✨
What we got:
Samosas: Love at first bite. What else can I say? The cream cheese and mushroom married together in this baked goodness was a perfect way to start the meal.
French Onion: Flavorful, sweet but not too much. It was chock full of onions and cheese.
Corn Chowder: Creamy soothy goodness. My new comfort dish especially for the rainy weather this season as of writing.
Steak & Eggs: Perfect. Good ol' steak that does not need any sauce.
Roasted Salmon: I love how the flavors come together with this dish. The salmon was crunchy on the outside with a savory sauce but soft and hot on the inside. With a delicious mashed potato mixed in with leafy vegetables (spinach or bok choy I think) mixed into the mash was a surprising pair up.
Overall: 5/5 would come back. Especially for the Samosas.
Quality, Delicious, Comfort food! Best to make a reservation for lunch. It can get quite crowded. Appetizers to sandwiches to main dishes are all good. Would love to see the ambience upgrade a notch! Breakfast and coffee also very good. Highly recommend!
Three of us planned out for a gastronomic Friday night. And Apartment 1B was a fit to our plan of having quality meals. I was with my girlfriend, Mia and her best friend, Miguel.
I somehow charmed my way in having their version of American Big Breakfast. It was a really filling plate of smokey strips of crispy bacon, English bangers, Canadian Ham, two over easy sunny side up eggs and garlic rice instead of fries and toast.
I also enjoyed Mia’s order of Vongole Pasta, it was a lightly seasoned dish of Manila clams, tomatoes, basil, white wine, olive oil and garlic.
For dessert, we had sweet Frozen Pie and an interesting take on Carrot Cake, given its addition of cheesecake in the middle.
Apartment 1B is worth your hard earned buck despite its high price range. I suggest treating yourselves here only on special occasions.
Our go- to place to get our Vongole pasta fix. Service is good. Consistent in taste and quality. Recommended for those Sunday brunch dates or mid week dinner dates.
Food is good. Ordered French Onion soup, the much-raved Frozen Pie, and the crusted (I forgot the whole name) Salmon which is part of their Cohen Diet menu.
Pros:
- The place is quiet and the staff are attentive. Not sure if it was because not too many people were in the restaurant when we ate.
- All we ordered are really good. Too bad I was not able to take a photo of the Grilled Pork Chops my boyfriend ate and the Dalandan Juice.
Cons:
- It’s really pricey. The Salmon I ordered costs 860 pesos. At first I was expecting it to cost around 500-600 only.
- They can also improve on the plating to make it more appealing.
Service is exceptional. :)
Can get crowded because of its location. You might want to get a reservation.
Food is always good. Whatever i order. It’s always good.
Price is bad. Hahaha. Quite expensive. But... well. You get what you pay for. :)
It's my first time here and they've impressed me of their interior arrangements and homy vibe. We ordered their Popcorn for our starter snd then Meatloaf and Carbonara. I also like their style of their fresh fruit juice. You can really tell it's freshness! Food is a little pricy yet they will amaze you of their food presentation with an excellent service. I like their buzzer. It's well organized with an option to ask or the bill, need extra assistance etc.. You don't have to say anything. They will just do it for you. Regarding the taste of their food, I maybe a little biase cause I don't like gourmet food that much. My partner's office is just nearby so we didn't have an issue with parking. All in all, I had a great time and definitely will be back soon.
Honestly, the food is good and the service is commendable. The staffs are very attentive and even the chef goes out of the kitchen to ask us if we want anything else and if the food is great. HAHAHA.But dam$$$ the prices of their food! Hahaha. Well, if its my money that ill be spendin its a big NO! GOOD THING ITS MY BOSS TREAT. HAHA
What we ordered:

After a whole day of doing my project, going office to office for it. I'm tired and hungry and Apartment 1b was literally in front of me while I'm walking, so I went in. The place is small, I prefer their Rockwell branch. The food was amazing and it has huge servings. But the price, eek. It's kinda overpriced for me, but i was really satisfied with my pork chops.
Aprtment 1B, Makati
Good ambience and good service staff
Sadly, at the time we went there only the breakfast menu was available. Hope they put it in their website too! Or in Zomato
1. Steak woth eggs breakfast plate- gigantic brekky! Very filling!
2. House salad- put more wallnuts of greens?! Too simole and too pricy for the serving.
3. Reuben sandwich- not bad but not good either. Wish they can use pulled beef with pulled pork. Serving though was fair for its price.
4. Breakfast plate the ones with bacon- 3.5 out of 5 stars!
5. Corned beed hash- 4 stars!
6. The chowder!- 3 stars
7. Desserts- highlight was the frozen pie!!!
@apartment1b
Last but not the least, kudos to Mel. He did try his best to assist us. Checjing with tge Chef by any chance we can get any if the mains or sandwiches... they start serving mains or other items in their menu at 10...
i was hungry and ordered prawns, fish&chips and the mussels... all tasted really good but value for money was thrown out of the window. price for the food is not that reasonable... specially the fish&chip plate.
need to do something about that darn fly buzzing above my plates...
Located at the heart of the central business district is this special restaurant that serves good food in an unpretentious set up. True to it's name, it offers dining experience in a very homey setting. Pasta dishes, all day Continental breakfast items are on the top of their list. Cap it off with their White Toblerone Cheesecake and Salted Caramel Chocolate cake. Forget your diet and savor these sweet treats!

Apartment 1B in Salcedo is the perfect place for an intimate dinner with friends or loved ones. The atmosphere is light and soothing, the food, divine. I had the grilled pork chops, perfect as usual, and the mashed potato siding was amazing. Tried sonething new, some sort of chicken fajitas and it was equally good. No wonder it's one of my go-to places for dinner.
Comfort food at its finest 👌🏼 We ordered the Pizzettas, Broiled Shrimp, Salted Caramel Chocolate Torte and have vowed to come back and try more from their enticing menu!

Bit of a gem.
I unfortunately showed up in my sandals and shorts thinking we were having a casual lunch... but when we pulled into a private estate, sat down next to a councillor and a well known businessman, I was a tad ashamed.
Everything was perfect, great food, service was amazing, atmosphere was spritely, and decor was neat and clean. Prices
Were even decent.
food is great though a bit pricey to eat everyday. nice place to unwind after you have a bad day at the office... service is great.. always prompt and polite without crowding your space. ambiance is cozy.. had the big breakfast and the ham and sausages were tasty. had to take home the bacon cos i was already full ,, but with enough space for their delicious frozen pie.. the server suggested to serve it to-share since it was huge.. would definitely come back again
Had dinner at apartment 1B, place is easy to find and there's a parking spot a block away.
Crew was very polite and attentive, plus they had devices on the table to ask for the bill or your server with the push of a button.
For the food we ordered French onion soup, roasted chicken, baby back ribs and their crepe cake for dessert. Soup was good but nothing special it served two. The chicken was huge and the gravy surely added a unique taste. The ribs were excellent and easy to eat, highly recommended. Dessert was free courtesy of booky, it was sugarless so perfect for those that are on the watch.
Overall, would come back to try their other desserts. Price wise, i would say you could have better for less.
Breakfast was fantastic the orange French toast with almond had just a hint of orange flavor that made it perfect.
The omelet was light and fluffy and loaded w/ bacon, mushroom, sausage, spinach, and cheddar cheese.
And smoked salmon egg Benedict extremely taste. And talk to the chef he was very professional answering all my questions..
Highly recommended this restaurant!!!
After a Sunday night of long talks and drinks, I woke up to a headache and a hunger like no other. I knew I needed something substantial. No! I will have none of those delicate fruit and pancake breakfasts! I needed manfood: grease to soak up the toxins in my stomach. Apartment 1B's Egg Breakfast was just the thing! Paired with English Bangers or Corned Beef Hash and excellent coffee, I was miraculously cured!
#HangoverRecovery
When eating in Apartment 1B, it's best to come early if you didn't make a reservation. The establishment is small, and because of the delicious food, many make reservations.
I was overwhelmed by the many tasty-sounding choices on the menu. I split the order with my companion.
We had Roasted Half Chicken and Grilled Blue Marlin. The chicken and mashed potatoes were good, while the Marlin was even better; not to mention the scrumptious pesto pasta it comes with. The dishes here are pricey, but they do come in big servings.
Next time around--especially when we have a higher budget (haha)--I'd try their popular pork chops and frozen pie, the braised lamb shank (P1200!), broiled prawns (P1290!), garlic shrimps (P660), and poached salmon (P980!).
Apartment 1B also has healthy alternatives such as organic pancakes, organic waffles, whole wheat spaghetti, and low sugar crepe. In addition, they have a wide selection of spirits, cocktails, and beers.
Reasons I go to Apartment 1B: (1) ambiance - cozy and chic and (2) frozen pie - vanilla ice cream, Oreo crust, walnuts, chocolate and caramel sauce. Summer is coming up and this dessert's gonna perk up my anti-humid soul and maybe other souls too as it's humongous!
We had our dinner here at apartment 1B a few blocks away from the office. Really curious as to what they have for their customers so I had to check zomato for the photos and menu list.
I ordered baby back ribs since it caught my attention. And also lemon juice. My colleagues ordered blue marline (correct me if im wrong) 😁 which tasted great. The flavor was really good. There was also salmon which was nothing special to it. I mean it didn't taste bad and good neither. Maybe that's why it has a dip so it can add on the flavour. Baby back ribs is almost the same as with rue borboun.
I have always wanted to try the food at Apartment 1B. For several reasons though, it took more than 3 years before I was able to do so. Luckily, today broke that unlucky streak when it came to Apartment 1B. Today, this greeted me for brunch.
Upon entering the place, the coziness of it is what would hit you first. You won't feel that you are in an upscale restaurant that is intent on intimidating you. Instead, you will feel that you are at home, albeit, a classy home.
My brother ordered the Croque Madame which is a a traditional Croque Monsieur served with a fried egg and a bit of Béchamel sauce spooned over the finished sandwich.
Croque Madame Php530
I on the other hand had the Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon and Spinach. It is an American breakfast dish that consists of two halves of an English muffin, topped with ham or bacon, poached eggs, and Hollandaise sauce.
Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon Php470
Our other companions had the Apartment 1B Breakfast and the Egg Breakfast respectively. By the way they finished off their plate, I'd say they loved it just as much as my brother and I loved what we ordered.
The main thing I really loved about the food there was that it tasted like a home cooked meal but with a bit of panache. It was classy but cozy. It's just the feeling that I got when I bit into the food. Oh, and the potatoes need to have their own place in the menu. Yes, it was that good.
We also ordered 4 kinds of dessert and everything was just right. The crepe gateau was velvety, the flourless cake was creamy, the cheesecake just the right hint of cheese, and the frozen pie was absolutely perfect especially with the sprinkling of walnuts.
Frozen Pie
White Toblerone CheeseCake
Flourless Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream
Crepe Gateau
It was a brunch that was very much filling. We actually stayed way past the original time we allotted to ourselves because the place just felt like you were at home, hanging out with your friends. It felt like home; one wherein they served gourmet comfort food.
Apartment 1B = Pizzetas! Served hot, thin and crisp, with lingering aroma of anchovies, mushrooms, caramelized onions, gruyere and parmesan. I marvel at the simplicity of the ingredients and how they all come together to create this wonderful pizza goodness. Must try!
Also had their arugula salad, porkchops (skip this as its a bit hard to chew and flavors do not penetrate into the meat), spaghetti tricolor pasta and gambas. They were decent but rather forgettable. Again I say go for the pizzetas! Goo
People come here for the mains, I come here for dessert. Their frozen pie is really good, and although the portion is quite big I still wouldn't share my pie. You gotta finish it fast though as the ice cream melts fast.

FRENCH ONION SOUP
I've had wonderful French onion soup at Sweet Bella before but this one was surprisingly better, and now tops my list! Yes, it did have a thick slab of Gruyere cheese but I judge how good this kind of soup is by its broth. And Apt. 1B's was the most balanced I've ever had in terms of the amount of melt-in-your-mouth caramelized onions & sweet-salty-spicy beef stock. Even when it was a bit cold (yes, I eat rather slowly to savor each moment), I was still happily slurping.
You usually want to take it easy on Monday nights, well, because Monday. We were very last minute in planning a surprise birthday gathering for my friend, Helene, that meals were not planned out. By the time we got settled with the cake, food, and drinks, my friend Hannah and I went down to get a drink at Apartment 1B. Drinks are always accompanied by food in my dictionary but we had to get out of there very quickly to go back for the surprise.
I was pretty famished since I started my day late and had something to eat at 11:00 a.m., nothing after that followed, hence I was pretty much starving at 7:00 p.m. Why am I always hungry??? I’ve never eaten in this place because, like Alice (from Wonderland) am always late and in turn just try to catch up on the lunches/dinners my friends have here, which leaves me no opportunity to eat or drink but to engage in chika. Helene’s favorite is the quesadilla P350, Hannah and I ordered it to add to the food we prepped for her. What it is is four parts of a chicken quesadilla which appear to be on a whole wheat wrap. It is also accompanied by a salsa and some sour cream on the side. I found it a little bit lacking in taste, my taste buds are just probably screwed. Hannah also ordered a mojito P240.
I had ordered something fast, crunchy and easy to prep since we were pressed for time – Fried stuffed wanton P370. What accompanied that? A dry martini for P240.00!
I looooooved the stuffed wanton!! The order has 12 pieces of fried wanton, in it are cream cheese and jalapeno sitting on a carpet of marinara sauce. The crunch of the wanton satisfies and the cream cheese is not oozing out of the wrap. The jalapeno produces just the right amount of kick for these small things. You can easily pop them in your mouth if you were hungry like me or put in on your plate and cut it in half. You just risk wasting some of the crunch from the fried wanton. The marinara sauce is such a good complement to these fried babies. I found the martini a bit dry so I had to keep eating also. By the way, I shared my food it was too filling!!!
I’d go back to try the other dishes, it’s a bit pricey but should be manageable naman.
I tried their Vongole pasta dish and I liked it because they did not scrimp on the clams that was the main sahog of the dish. The Corn Chowder is a must-try!👍 I Ioved it because it's creamy (I'm a fan of creamy types of soup) and corn. The Cucumber Mint shake was also good, not too sweet and the mint just enough (not too empowering) such that you can still taste the cucumber.
Will I go back to this place? Probably on a special occasion since they are on the pricey end.
I only get to indulge here once in a while because it is quite pricey to have the following:
1. Eggs Benedict
2. Big Breakfast
3. Vegetable Lasagna
They are worth the price though maybe just for a once a month treat. :)
09.20.15 There are already many establishments in Salcedo that offers breakfast, burger, and comfort dishes... But Apartment 1B particularly this branch remains to be the best for me.
Simple, clean and cozy ambiance. Not too crowded than their v. Corporate counterparts that makes dinning a more relaxing and enjoyable experience. Everything in their menu are good from the simplest appetizers, to their hearty breakfast, entrée.
The burger here with australian cheddar, swiss cheese and bacon is believed to be better than the new burgers today. Their braised lamb, babu back, and steak frites are all winner! A great breakfast place and one of our usual destination for a relaxed Sunday family lunch.
I believe in two marketing strategies that applies in almost all businesses and practices: its either you offer something others don't have, or offer something better. They're just better here. Particularly this branch.
This place located just across our place, but I've only been here once -- basically only because they are not very cheap. But The serving is HUGE! I had the beef pot pie, and I think it can easily be for 2. The ambiance is very cozy and warm. I loved the food and service too!
Went with my friend Friday morning. Nice staff. They were serving breakfast but I wanted some nibblers we asked for tacos and they accommodated. Although I noticed that the English bangeRs and bacon were Too oily.
Another old favorite that continues to serve reliably good food.
Went there Saturday late evening for dinner. E had the Roasted Half Chicken and the 3 Cheese Vegetable Lasagna. The chicken was very good with the flavors of herbs and lemon making this dish a hit. The mashed potato and buttered veggies were good too. The lasagna was flavorful with a good cheesy finish.
We had the salted caramel choco cake. Good but less than totally yummy.
Somewhat dissapointed with the Green Apple and Mint Shake that tasted more minty without much of an apple taste.
I'm probably one of the few people not too excited about Apartment 1B. I've had breakfast here a couple of times, and it's nothing memorable. The food is good and healthy, but for the price, it's to be expected. Ambiance is nice, a cross between fancy and cozy, the service is good and servers are really attentive. Maybe I'd come here again if on a breakfast date/meeting.
Apartment 1B is known for serving gourmet comfort food. It is a place where people can kick back, relax, and dine over good food with company and great service. Pizzetas in this restaurant is a must-try! They're just like pizzas except they're thinner, crisper and served hot. They can be topped with various ingredients like anchovies, caramelized onions, garlic, and parmesan! Other dishes like pork chops with apple saice, their Turkey burger, vegetable samosas and crispy buffalo wings are favored by a lot too. They're cozy interiors are captivating, as if you're enjoying a great home-cooked meal!
You can't go wrong with Apartment 1B. The food is great, the place has a nice casual vibe to it, and the location is awesome. They also have a pretty diverse menu. I'd love to try their breakfast one time. This is a place for those who are willing to spend a premium for great quality comfort food.
Went here on a Monday night and only two tables are occupied. It actually felt like home after we're seated because of its intimate atmosphere. I think it would be better though if their kitchen is not too exposed especially to those diners in the first floor.
I must commend their service - they're very accommodating and warm up to manong guard level! You will instantly feel at ease in this place.
For the main course, we ordered the roasted half chicken which was served with a very appetizing mashed potato. We also got grilled cheese and tomato sandwich that comes with a side salad and french fries. Nothing special on this item and I was disappointed since the bread was too toasted for my liking.
The frozen pie is the ultimate game changer - it's the result when you combine vanilla ice cream, chocolate, and caramel on an oreo crust! Really a salivating experience! Don't miss this when you try Apartment 1B. Serving size is good for 2-3 persons.
A sweet treat after a tiring day. Love the grilled blue marlin served with my ever favorite pesto pasta ?
Buffalo wings for nibbles and frozen pie for desserts. Cozy, nice service, great food.
Went to this place for brunch..Its Benedict Eggs and French Toast taste as yummy as it look. Coffee's good too..
But what really fascinated me is the interior of the resto..I am always fascinated with wood. It has such a cozy effect...The upper level is more spacious. The decoration is minimal but it's classy.
The place is perfect for meetings and rendezvous with friends so be sure to have a reservation first.:)
It's been ages since I've visited here. Quick recap, I used to take most of my clients (if not all) when my firm's just around the corner - 139 Corporate Center. Anyhow, my most recent lunch here with my sorority sister reminded me of the good times I have been missing!
For starters we had Samosa and their House Salad paired with a glass of Sangria (for me) and Dalandan Mojito for my friend. Yes, it's supposed to be a lunch date but I guess having a couple of cocktails on a Friday is okay! Don't mind the excuses. Haha! Love love love their samosas. The puffy layers were so light and thin, that it felt as if melting in your mouth with every bite. I'm not usually a fan of salads with nuts (I rarely eat nuts btw, I even take it out piece by piece whenever I eat a chocolate with nuts on it) but this one's different. I'm not quite sure but I think it's because they've used salted-caramelized walnuts tossed with romaine lettuce and crispy marble grapes. It was so simple yet amazingly good.
Since we only have 2 hours to catch up and eat, we had Osso Buco and Steak Frites as our main dishes. Given the size of the meat (s), we almost did not finish our meals. Both the veal (osso) and wagyu were cooked to perfection. Even though we were chatting non-stop for a good 45-minute, the meat were still tender and juicy. Though I had minor issues with the risotto. We've concluded that they may have used just ordinary, local rice instead of the italian one.
Overall verdict - 4.0
Staff were accommodating especially on a busy Friday lunch hour. We came without no reservations yet we were seated in no less than 5 minutes. All of our requests were entertained with a big smile on their faces, including the Manong security guard outside. I'll be dining here more often, and will be bringing my clients here again.
My view on Vongole will never ever be the same! They said nobody's perfect but the chef who did this, whoever you are, you are perfect to me! Cooked with white wine, right amount of pepper and hint of ginger to clean the clams of seafood taste, a touch of chili flakes and perfected pasta with olive oil! Excellent! If you're not a pasta person, you can try their Porkchops, super good as well!
Apart-or-Ment for Each Other?
I've been hearing raves about Apartment 1B from a couple of friends of mine for quite sometime now. So, I decided that I just have to try it soon. I went to their Salcedo Village branch, one Saturday morning, to eat brunch.
Their signage said "Gourmet Comfort Food"...this caught my attention. I just hope it lives up to what it said. I suggest that you directly request to be seated on the 2nd floor, coz it has a better vibe than the 1st. It's very cozy and comfy, you'll feel at home right away.
I ordered their Eggs Benedict paired with their cafe latte and tried their Frozen Pie for dessert.
The Eggs Benedict was awesome! Theirs was the traditional and classic one using English muffins, Canadian bacon and of course, poached eggs. Their eggs ben had a touch of florentine to it because of the spinach. So it's the best of both worlds for those who like eggs ben and eggs florentine. I also liked how they put an effort to make the dish even healthier by using wheat muffin. In addition, it came with some side greens and tomato too. It had just the right amount of hollandaise sauce which was creamy and flavorful. Using capers to add tanginess, instead of the normal lemon juice definitely added character to it. The home fries which also came with the dish was simply great! Not sure why it was called fries though as it came in cubes and it seemed like it was roasted or baked not deep fried...but I really did not mind that coz it was really delicious and at least, less sinful. By the way, for the big eaters, you can opt to order 2 pieces, you just need to top-up a certain amount. For a much healthier but more pricey option, you can choose their rendition with Salmon.
The Frozen Pie was kind of an ice cream cake. The serving was big, great for sharing. The combination of vanilla ice cream, oreo crust, walnuts, chocolate and caramel sauce was just perfect! Creamy, crunchy, sweet, chocolatey and caramelly all at once. I love how generous they were on the walnut toppings which really complemented the entire dessert. The consistency of their vanilla ice cream actually reminded me of a gelato. It was soft, creamy and had a kind of elastic texture. So, I had to ask if it was homemade...and it was! Amazing indeed!
Apartment 1B has definitely lived up to my expectations. Everything about it (maybe except for the price? Lol!) was just comforting, so I'm sure I'll visit it again.
I had their meatloaf and their white toblerone cheesecake and frozen pie. I must say that their meatloaf was the best that i ever tasted. It was really meaty and the sauce was thick and full, perfect for all meat lovers. The white toblerone cheesecake was also good. It was not that sweet and the cheesecake surprisingly blended well with the toblerone. Lastly, the frozen pie was damn good as well. It is indeed the reason why Apartment 1B is one of the best dessert place in the metro.
This is a casual fine dining restaurant. Their menu is not extensive but what they offer are delicious. No wonder that they have built a regular clientele of well to do clients, business executives and expats. The restaurant has an elegant but cozy atmosphere where you can have business meetings. The waiters are well trained and the service is impeccable. Best-sellers are the house salad, Blue marlin, tuna nicouse. Their burger is one of the best in Manila, served with tender beef patty cooked to perfection and served with potato fries, delicious even without the optional cheeses. By far their best Dessert for me is the crepe. It is very soft and only slightly sweet.
I got to try this place when my husband brought me here for our wedding anniversary celebration. The place was neat and cozy. Restaurant crew were all nice and attentive. We ordered fresh salad topped with caramelized walnut and raspberry sauce, Grilled Blue Marlin with pesto pasta and grilled vegetables, Beef Burger and Cucumber-mint Fresh Fruit Shakes. I liked everything. The fish was cooked just right and tasted fresh. Burger patty tasted fresh. Serving is just enough, not too heavy nor too light. I loved the caramelized walnut on the salad. The mint shake was refreshing and not too sweet. Overall, I enjoyed the food and will definitely dine here again.
We usually eat here once a month. I hate driving all the way to makati but in this case i have to. Its a feel of when we were in newyork those places inside the buildings gives me that kind of feeling im in newyork. Eating breakfast is really an important part specially at this place. Ambiance, service and taste they got everything. Price pretty steep for a sausage, eggs, bacon with i piece of toast. 500php. Will i recommend it? Not everyday, you might get broke by the end of the month! But quality of food is definitely there.
This restaurant has truly become a favourite, after golf, eating place for us. I would highly recommend the mussels starter and the baby back ribs from the main menu.
I am rating this restaurant based from the food i've tasted on few occasions by far, which are the : Osso buco, braised lamb shank and the poached salmon. The rest were salads and of course the desserts.
The food is a bit pricey especially the dishes i mentioned , however, the taste truly compensated for it. The lamb was perfectly cooked and the flavor is just awesome. With few visits in this restaurant, the food just amazes me each time, and it has never let me down.
The food serving is fair. I love the charm that this restaurant has.
Overall, the food, its charm, its location and almost everything about it, would make me keep coming back.
This is where i recently celebrated my birthday for this year :)
Food is really great... A must try restaurant... Sulit!
Apartment 1B is my newest favorite restaurant in the Metro. Being on the Cohen program, it's difficult for me to find a restaurant that caters specifically to our lifestyle's needs. I've been hearing good things about Apartment 1B from non-Cohenite friends for a time now, but of course, I never dared go since I am on a strict diet. However, when I got the news that they already offer Cohen-friendly dishes, with an actual Cohen menu, I immediately took the plunge and planned brunch with my friends. My first time to try it, I went to their Rockwell branch and absolutely loved it! The whole vibe of the place was very homey, but modern. It was the perfect place to chill, relax, and catch up with friends. Today, I brought my family to the Salcedo branch, and my feelings towards this place stays the same. I want to live there!!! Ha ha ha!
As for the food, I can only speak for my order, which was the Grilled Herbed Chicken with Vegetables. It was awesome value for money! I loved their perfectly grilled vegetables!
For their other food, my friends raved about it while my family did not complain! They left me drooling and tempted me to cheat (but I did not woohoo!). I will definitely come back, even after I finish my Cohen program! :)
the food is great but the airconditioning is weak and the prices are high!
I first tried Apartment 1B almost four years ago, and it's been on my go to list ever since. Serving its own brand of comfort food, Apartment 1B is definitely one place you'll keep going back to. And with a menu that has remained practically the same is a good sign.
Tucked in the middle of the Makati CBD, the place gives you sense of sanctuary, a place to shut out the hustle and bustle of the city. The interiors are cozy, even homey, just like the food they serve. Simple, yet refined. Start of with the Corn Chowder topped with parsley and freshly ground pepper. This is a half serving since we had one order split to two servings. The Roasted Half Chicken with garlic mashed potatoes, vegetables and gravy. Roasted with fresh herbs, garlic and lemon, the skin is crisp, and the meat tender and juicy, while the mashed potatoes are rich and creamy. And the vegetables are perfect, still retaining some of the crunch, with real butter, awesome.
The Grilled Pork Chops, with garlic mashed potatoes, vegetables and homemade applesauce. The chops are tender and juicy, with the applesauce providing a nice contrast. And both items remain as delicious as when I first tried it some years back, consistency, that's why I love this place. You just have to leave room for dessert. The White Toblerone Cheesecake with berry coulis, a great way to cap a great meal at Apartment 1B. Apartment 1B also has some of the best breakfasts, and more on this in a later post. Every time I walk into Apartment 1B, it always feels like coming home. And it's good to be back home again.
