I've been in this place with my husband twice in less than a week, planning to go back again before we leave the country. The food was freshly made and delicious. The staff were courteous, we were greeted with warm smiles upon entering. I highly recommend this place to anyone craving for genuine Italian dishes in the heart of Makati.

The potato chips were amazing but could be better to share it with more than 3 or 4 pax if you choose it as an appetizer. Truffle pasta was fabulous, though we waited for 45min... Other than that it was a very nice place to enjoy an Italian with ardente.

A perfect place for date night. We celebrated our anniversary here and twas lovely. Staff were also accommodating and very helpful even if we dined in almost closing time.
The food was really great! My favourite was the Alla Vongole pasta. The antipasto ciculo was also such a great spread, everything was yummy. There was nothing outstanding about their Margherita though. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. I look forward to going back however I wish that our unexpected guest wouldn’t show up again cause it’s very anti climactic . The rat 🐀 was sooo big (hence the 4 star rating) I thought I just had too much wine 😂
My go-to place for de-stressing. It has a very cozy ambiance and the food is equally great. All thumbs up to this resto. I just hope though walk-ins will be allowed on Valentine's day. (Hopeful!)
If you love pizza like others devotion to rice, Sicilian Roast is worth visiting for you. They specialize in brick oven style, distinct dough texture, and more pronounced toppings.
I got to indulge in four varieties, each one having strong features depending on the topping plus a chewy crust. I had the Amalfitana (candied tomato, black olives, capers, mozzarella, fresh basil, anchovies, garlic, parmesan cheese, oregano and lemon zest), classic Margherita (tomato sauce, mozzarella, fresh basil, parmesan and extra virgin oil), Margherita Salamino (Margherita with salami) and the real stand out, Quattro Formaggi (cream, 4 kinds of Italian cheese (gorgonzola, smoked scamorza, parmesan and mozzarella fior di latte).

We went Italian for our Monday lunch and finally get to dine here.The place was indeed nice! it's like a cafe-resto-bar in one. Beautiful ambience. nice interior. Attentive crews.They gave us complimentary bread with dunno the name of the spread😊😂✌. Good for serious meetings and not-so 😊😂✌. I ordered their Petto di Pollo (spicy) and was shookt bec it was a good for 2 serving! It was really tasty.From the mashed potato,veggies and chicken breast,so tender and really sumptous. Liked their Lemon lime too! This resto really has somethin' to offer.I'd like to try more of their top dishes...😊👍 esp. their coffee. For that day's visit,highly recommended!

The place is quite expensive than others but, food was quite good. However i am not a fan of carbonara that tasted like just having cheese haha. It's so cheesy that a plate was too much for 2 of us, so 4 star for that

Invited for dinner by an Italian friend there last night. I love the ambiance the service and the staffers are great. My host did all the ordering for us from starters, main course and dessert.

Delizioso!!! Today, I learned to say delicious in Italian after having an awesome dinner at Sicilian Roast.
Truly, everything we ordered were yummmm! We started the meal with Parmesan Truffle Potato Chips. I cannot stop eating the chips. I had to literally tell myself that we were just on appetizers.
Next, the Panna Prosciutto e Funghi pizza was very tasty and baked just right. Surprisingly, the prosciutto, mushrooms,and cream sauce worked very well. Not to garlicky too.
For the pasta, our server was kind enough to recommend a pasta not on the menu. It was a light cream sauce pasta. The noodles waa definitely al denta with just the right amount of sauce.
We finished off our dinner with panna cotta (slightly sweet and tangy) and their chocolate lava cake (bitter sweet chocolate). Woooo!!!
Interior and ambiance surely made us feel comfy and welcomed. The staff was also attentive and very helpful si ce it was our first time.
A must-go place to satisfy Italian dish cravings 😁
P.S. Their wine is not expensive at all and goos selection.

The restaurant serves excellent pizzas and salads. Gives complementary tapenade and digestive liquor. Price is also good, buy one get one and 15% discount on wine.
On the shortcomings I would day there is cocktails which are indeed reasonably priced but high in sugar and low in rhum (or gin or whatever) or at least it was my impression. Atmosphere is not bad ad such but it is more a family place than a place for romantic dinner. Finally service while polite was a little too omnipresent. Almost fast food style. To improve but not a major problem. All in all noy a bad choice.
Good food at reasonable prices, nice portions too. Family style sharing is expected. Came here during Valentine's Day and they had an excellent program with live music and roses for al the ladies.
This is a very intimate place for romantic dinners...I love the decor and the main course is good for 2 pax. They serve great authentic italian food...and the Limoncello is a must try to cap off the night 😀

Interesting Italian restaurant in Legaspi. Very good interiors and an almost fine dining experience (minus the white table cloth). Excellent service.
Ordered a glass of Codorniu Cava Brut for my partner while I had a glass of Bosco Montepulciano Italian red wine. The Cava was great with fruity notes and we ended up buying a bottle to take home. The red wine was typical Italian house wine.
Basket of complimentary bread with pesto butter and tomato salsa was good.

The eggplant parmigiano was ok. Not the scrumptious cheesy taste that I expected.
Our other appetizer, ordered on the suggestion of our server, turned out to be our main course - it was that filling! It was Trittico di fritti Napoletani or 3 types of fried treats. One was an arancino rice ball with meat ragu sauce, 2nd was potato croquet stuffed with mozzarella cheese and 3rd was puff pastry cake with Bechamel Bucatini pasta beef. Each was cut into half for sharing and came with a freshly made tomato sauce. It was a good appetizer but we missed our planned main course of truffle pasta.
The Tiramisu was quite light and good.
A relative newcomer to the Legaspi village food scene, this place is perfect for dates where you want to impress but still not burn a hole in your pocket.
The place is both boutique and restaurant, with an impressive array of Italian food products and menu offerings.
I had a basic Truffle Pasta and a Salted Caramel Macchiato, which was very satisfying. We were also given complimentary Limoncello after dinner, which made for a very nice touch.

Sicilian Roast by Giuseppe Genco is an Italian restaurant right smack in the Makati Central Business District. We were invited by hubby's friend (who is friends with the owner/s) for a dinner feast and some drinks on a weeknight.
They already started with appetizers and drinks at the bar when I reached there. I was able to taste a soft warm roll, a tomato salsa dish and some pate which were all great. Hanging out at the bar was comfortable and the lighting was perfect for photos. I also spotted a Carmen's Best freezer behind the bar.
When the group was finally complete, we transferred to a table which had a view of the brick ovens, the kitchen and the display chillers showcasing assorted cheese, cold cuts and marinated meat and seafood that you could purchase and enjoy at home. They also sell other ingredients like pasta, honey & black truffle and Himalayan Pink Salt. Shelves with books, trinkets and different travel elements served both as a divider in the main dining area and conversation starters as well. My personal favorites were the umbrella shaped lamp, the treasure chest with red lining and the Book "Never Trust a Skinny Italian Chef"
Now on to the food...
SALAD AND APPETIZERS
🔹Insalata Giuseppe - not exactly sure of the components until I read the menu. The dressing was light. I loved the cheese shavings which I made sure I had in every bite. The serving was good for sharing.
🔹Fritto Misto - the calamares and fried vegetables were ok but not outstanding. I liked the tomato dipping sauce.
🔹Eggplant Parmigiana - one of my favorites from that night. The eggplants, tomato sauce, emmental and parmesan cheese went so well together. It was a party in my mouth. The texture of one of the cheeses tricked our tastebuds into thinking that they were noodles.
🔹Prosciutto con Mango - the combination of the sweet mangoes wrapped in the salty prosciutto was just heavenly.
PIZZA AND PASTA
🔹Funghi e Prosciutto Pizza - brick oven pizza with a warm soft dough, mozzarella, tomato sauce, prosciutto and mushrooms. A very filling and satisfying pie. Loved the prosciutto and the cheese.
🔹Fusilli Truffle Sauce - a rich and creamy explosion of exquisite flavors. I love how the smell of the truffle was subtle (strong aroma turns me off) yet the flavor was really there. The pasta absorbed the flavor. Another favorite from this meal.
🔹Vongole - i must apologize for squeezing that lemon. I think I drizzled too much and we ended up not appreciating the dish.
🔹Bolognese - This was delicious but after tasting the Truffle Pasta you just had to have seconds or thirds of that.
MAIN DISHES
Since hubby's friend ordered everything, I wasn't able to catch the actual names of the dishes. I enjoyed the vegetables, mashed potatoes and pepper sauce too.
🔹Chicken - seasoned well with aromatic herbs and seasonings. This was moist and very flavorful.
🔹Steak - melt in your mouth and so juicy.
🔹Pork Ribs - Bursting with flavor and so addicting. Another favorite from this meal.
🔹Fish - I think it was the halibut. It was light, seasoned well and melted in my mouth.
Overall, an awesome dining experience with delicious food and great company. I can see myself hanging out at the bar with hubby for a few drinks or having a meal at the main dining area with my family.
P.S. Loved the folding chairs that they provided for the bags.
Sicilian Roast is one of the newer restaurants to open in Legaspi Village. Being conveniently located near Ayala Avenue makes it the perfect meeting spot.
Unfortunately, the quality of the food does not justify it's somewhat exhorbitant prices, especially if you have restaurants such as C'Italian Dining or La Grotta nearby that offers better quality dishes at the same price. For the meal, I only liked the ravioli and it's a dish i'd come back for. The steak was also nicely cooked, but there wasn't anything special with it.
To conclude, it's a bit pricey and you'd get better quality food for the same price elsewhere.

One of the better Italian restaurants to recently open in the Metro. This place is huge and oozes with a classy ambiance that on the negative side, might put off potential diners on a budget. But they only have to check the menu here to confirm that their pricing is fair, and sometimes, very cheap. My personal order of tomato soup and aglio olio pasta only set me off by P260, taxes and SC included. Now that is dirt-cheap! However, their menu has a footnote stating that it is on "soft opening prices". I guess we have to wait and see to find out what this really means in the near future
We were a fairly large group so we had a good sampling of their fare. We were served a complimentary basket of a bread variety with salsa and pate. Nice! We shared a Napoli pizza which was very cheesy and had a slightly-thick dough. However, I wanted a stronger taste of the anchovies. I suspect that they use a brick oven for their pizzas. We had a couple of risottos - porcini and pescatora. Both were so-so in my book (however, I am not a huge fan of risottos to begin with). As expected, the stars of the show were the pastas with truffle. We had the one with fusilli and the ravioli version. I liked the fusilli version a bit more as it was more coated with the truffle flavor, unlike the ravioli which seemed a bit wanting on the flavor. As mentioned earlier, my aglio olio and tomato soup were both great (I asked for extra garlic on my aglio olio for a stronger taste).
For dessert, we tried their cheese cake, pana cotta and tiramisu. I particularly liked the cheesecake and tiramisu most, both being not sweet at all.

Since in all my visits it was after a full meal and was just looking for a place to chill, I've ordered their "Salted Caramel Machiato" which was great - not too sweet and coffee tasty. I've also had their Pink Velvet cake which was a version of the well-known Red velvet cake. Seeing their servings, it's great for sharing.
Verdict
Its a must try to visit now since they're on their soft opening and prices are at a reasonable price. I'll definetly try their pasta on my next visit.
Nice relaxing restaurant along Carlos Palanca. Still on soft opening, their complimentary bread was good although the pate lacked taste, which was saved by their pink Himalayan salt grinder on the table. I don't think I ordered the right stuff so have to go back for their pizza which they make in a brick oven. I actually like the ambience enough to try other items in the menu.

Sicilian Roast is a couple of feet across the gym I go to, since I've been craving for uhmm carbs, an Italian place sounded like an amazing idea. I came in wearing my gym clothes btw, which is quite embarrassing after seeing the interiors. So I changed to normal clothes, their restroom is picturesque. You could hang out there. Clean, cool, & well if I was a little bit more introverted.. I'd eat my meal in there too hehehe it's that clean!
I ordered Crostini Misti & Acciugata Al Nero Diseppia. Told you all carbs. I actually wanted to walk out. Not because what I got was despicable but because my food looked like art. Well plated. My eyes were so happy, I actually wanted to walk out because I didn't want to touch it. I didn't want to eat it. (I'm lying. I wanted to eat it so bad.)
Kuya Edmar & Kuya Mark were chatting with me the whole time. I was the only one in the restaurant so they had time. This made my meal, YUMMIER!! After awhile, I met Edmund as well the owner of the resto. He talked about the food and a couple of things. Nice man, I really wish his first venture would pick up wind. He gave me limoncello too. Strong and yummy! Everything YUMMY, even the complimentary bread and liver pate!!!!! Btw, if you get the crostini misti uhmm one of the trio is not pleasant to the palate. I forgot which but I loved the one with pesto and the truffle paste.
Please don't do the same mistake as I did. Going to Sicilian Roast after a workout. The interior is classy. You'd instantly feel out of place. Be prepared to pay a bit of money though, the food is quite pricey.
But overall, it was a perfect experience. Take your date there or date yourself. You'd be impressed with yourself or your date with you. No bullshit.
