Me and my gf went with the sea food paella and croquets, pallea were flavourful and had nice amount of sea food, the croquets were a bit tasteless. The complimentary bread was amazing- fresh soft and warm. Atmosphere is very unique, like an hidden gem, there was also live performers passing between the tables singing classics
Pasta and white beans soup was really good, the musicians were accommodating they know how to play Spanish songs, the only thing I didn't like was the bread it was a bit hard, but the rest of the food was divine and prices are very affordable, restroom was clean, coffee was ok too

The paella pasta and caldo gallego (soup with chorizo) is quite salty. Paella valencia tastes good as usual. The zomato deal made everything so sulit! Cordon blu is big and with mashed potato. The ambiance is very classy. The servers are very helpful and gave advice on what to order. Hehe
Personally think Albs is ine of the best Spanish restaurants around. It's an institution already, they've been around for a long time.
I always enjoyed eating buffet here.
Zomato Gold cant be used for Paella so we ordered Lengua and Salpicao for that.
Their paella is meaty and has crab and other seafood. First time eating Lengua and it’s very tender and the sauce is super tasty. Salpicao isn’t too salty and mashed potato matches perfectly with it.
Ambience at the second floor is very quiet and peaceful. There are musicians that can also play for you.
Alba is one of the "go to places" to eat in Poblacion Makati.. You will experience great Spanish cuisine via their ala carte or buffet. Their salpicao, callos and paella are simply the best among others. Ambiance is cool and service is above par. I will definetely recommend this place.
For lunch, we ordered ala carte instead of the buffet. We were seated at the second floor, and one major reason why I only gave 4 stars was the service - I'm not sure if it's because most people were having the buffet anyway, but the staff weren't so attentive in terms of taking our order and so.
On the food though, we ordered paella valenciana and paella margherita, as well as baked clams, lengua, callos and beef salpicao. If you want more significantly flavored rice in the paella, then I suggest you go for the valenciana vs the margherita. My favorite was the beef salpicao, which was served with a little of mashed potato.
Beautifully decorated in Spanish style. The selection on the menu was sufficient and it was very hard to make a decision. The price was very reasonable and the portion was quite large. We ordered the seafood paella which was much more than we can eat. The food was tasty, service was quick and the ambiance was perfect. We were there at a time of day when it wasn’t busy. The location was conveniently located in a very commercial area but unfortunately, parking is not easy to find in the area. I would come back and try more dishes on the menu.
Still homey and food are still authentic and delicious. Quality never waned despite being in the business for so long. The band serenading the patrons also add to the charm.
Cochinillo is great but their tapas are the best ones. Not exactly a fan of callos but I enjoyed theirs immensely. Sangria was also good :)
Also for some reason, I enjoyed their unlimited bread so much 😂
Great for family dinners and maybe romantic dates, too.
Food is great and the ambiance is very nice. I personally love the Paella Valenciana and Paella Negra. Excellent deal with Zomato Gold as well as we were able to order more dishes to try.
We were looking for a good place to grab a bite but it was a Saturday evening and Poblacion tends to get rowdy during these time because of all the merry-making.
We found Alba and thought lesser people would come here at that hour because it was a fine dining place and most of the people would prefer going to bars or restos with booze. We were right because only a handful of people are eating so we were seated immediately.
They have a wide array of food selection, being a Spanish restaurant most of the menu items there you won’t be able to pronounce. Good thing they have descriptions below.
We ordered Salpicado de Solomillo and for the Zomato Gold membership complementary dish we chose the Lengua Sevillana. We added their famous Paella Valenciana and to finish things off we got their Canonigo.
We enjoyed all of the food choices that we made. Although without the Zomato Gold, we would have ordered less because of the pricing. The ambiance is a bit simple looking and is already old-fashioned. Over-all we still enjoyed our stay.

Took my mom out for dinner here during Valentine's Day. We weren't able to book a reservation but they still accommodated us despite them being fullybooked that evening. They let us stay at the bar area which was fine with us but since one of the reservations canceled we eventually transferred to a table. Ambiance is amazing. Really homy and cozy. We were serenaded with guitar players singing Beatles songs. Their paella was the best I've tasted in ny 21 years. But above all, their service is top-notch. Really great staff. Will definitely go back.
Made a booking via zomato and they confirmed. But when we got there, we weren’t on the reservations list. Good thing they were able to make a table for 12, last minute. The restaurant was almost full then.
Otherwise, food was good and service was well!
Zomato gold: paella and other for-sharing portioned dishes are not included in the 1+1 food promo
SERVES GREAT, QUALITY SPANISH FOOD 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 I highly recommend specially if youre craving for some paella and cochinillo! Pasta is so so but the rest is pretty solid.
Recently visited this place in Poblacion, Makati with my friends- very old school!
Had Rabas Fritas (fried squid tentacles) and Albondigas de Chorizo as starters. The star of the night was the Paella Valenciana, which we partnered with the tasteful Salpicado de Solomillo.
Of course, as we enjoyed our Sangrias, we were serenaded with beautiful songs like “She” and the classic “Besame Mucho” 😘
It was a nice experience!
Celebrated Chinese New Year with the fambam at Alba's. Not the first time I ate here, but my last visit was buffet style. Thanks to Zomato Gold's promo, we were able to order and try a lot of dishes.
Disclaimer: Paella is not included in the promo, since it's for sharing, but you have to order this one! A trip to Alba's cannot be complete without tasting this dish.
Paella Valenciana - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Flavorful rice with rich seafood. Generous portions of meat and rice. I love the toasted rice on the bottom of the pan. Definitely go here for this! Their Paella Negra is a winner too.
On the meats, we tried:
Solomilla a la Alba - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Solomilla a la Pobre - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Both steaks are cooked to perfection, meat tender, but I couldn't really tell the difference between the two except for the fact that one is topped with garlic, and the other mushrooms. Better try only one of these, in my opinion, because it tastes similar.
Cochinillo Asado - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Love this one, really crispy skin, and flavorful, fork-tender meat. Another must try here at Alba's.
Lengua Sevillana - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Really luscious and tasty. Love the gravy on this one. The mushrooms add a nice touch too. Must try this also!
Overall experience is great, along with the food. Staff is attentive and they are already aware of the promo.
Unlocked my first Zomato Gold here! Place looks amazing - very romantic. They have a band of singers serenading each table. Ambience is 5/5. Food is not great but not bad either, although I was not able to try their Paella due to Gold limitations. Maybe next time.
The food and service were great! We had tostados with cream cheese, prawns paella, grilled prawns, maja blanca and mango crepe. My 7-year old son even gave them a 10/10 rating. Definitely a must try!
I had dinner here with my friends. Everyone should visit this place at least once. The place is not that fancy but it’s private. The foods are so delicious. If you’re not familiar with Spanish cuisines, it doesn’t matter. Once you taste their foods, you’ll definitely love it and I’m sure you’ll come back.
By the way I love their paella negra. It’s so so so delicious. A must try.
Never fails to deliver a great meal with very pleasant atmosphere. Still good value; a wonderful place to enjoy good food with family and friends.
When Sunday is Family Day, make it a lil’ extra special with good serving of Paella Valenciana ❤️

Paellas are delicious and reasonably priced. We loved the lengua as well. The best lengua I’ve tasted by far. Tostados are great appetizers too
We had one of the best dinners here! Service was great. Food was remarkable! The Chorizo, Paella Valenciana and Sangria sent us to paradise. We felt like we travelled to Spain. Hopefully all the other branches serve the same experience. We can't wait to dine here again.
This is still the number 1 Spanish restaurant for me despite its outdated interiors, and after having tried a few newcomers. I love their paella negra and paella Valenciana (in that order)!
Food 5; ambience 5; service 5; price 5. My biggest fear in buffets is that they normally serve the cheapest cuts and drown them in oily sauce. But surprisingly, food tasted great. The choices aren’t many -lengua, fish fillet, paella, pasta bolognese, callos, cohinillo, lechon kawali, tendeloin tips, baby squid, and a few pica pica. Dessert is a choice of fruits, canonigo, pudding, and a few pastries. But food just tasted great despite being a buffet. Place is homey, service was great, and for p700 per person for bottomless but delicious food, it’s a steal.
My relatives have been here before and I'm so glad they brought us here! The place is a little small but has a nice home-y feel.
We all ate from the buffet and it was delightful. Some of the dishes I loved were the lengua and paella (both kinds). I can see why they are the specialties! I liked the other things too, but don't remember the names haha
Despite the great food, I knocked down star because of one incident. I was sitting on the outside in the corner table talking to my cousin who was sitting at a long table in the middle of the restaurant. Basically there was some space between us but not like we had to yell to talk. In the middle of the convo, two waiters are looking over a bill and are standing right between us. My cousin and I kind of move side to side but they don't budge. So our convo abruptly ended. How rude! I even saw the waiter look at my cousin then at me and smiled. Well then...
Besides that little mishap, everything else was great!
I did the lunch buffet on a Wednesday. Very good price for the buffet. the choices of dishes are good, not too many, just right. The callos and lengua did not disappoint. the paella Valenciana was quite good. Brought back memories of family and home, and that is always good.
Ever since I was a kid, we would go here from time to time for special occasions. I was fortunate enough to meet Señor Alba himself. A few of the waiters here have been around this place since the 90s and is still working there. That tells you that they really take care of their employees.
If you are in the mood for authentic Spanish cuisine, then this is the place to go. They use the same old recipes by Señor Alba, the recipe that made this restaurant famous.
We went and ordered our favorite from the menu, Chorizo Fritos and Paella Valenciana. The taste has not changed from the original recipe which is good. In my opinion, I think the prices in their menu is an excellent value for money. Considering all the new and hip restaurants that spawned all over metro manila that millenials go carzy about, I'm surprised they have not increased their prices.
We were also seranaded by their amazing band during our dinner. They could almost play anything on the spot and they always sound amazing.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who want a historic place to hang out and to have amazing food. Whether you are going for a date or for just for hanging out with friends, this is an ideal plafe to go.
Rich with culinary history, Alba’s truly authentic Spanish experience still stands the test of time. It is an institution that has inspired many followers in its wake: Las Paellas, Circkulo, and Bar Pintxos to name a few. The late Señor Anastacio’s dream is still alive 65 years later. Alba deserves its rating as the best Spanish eatery today, bar none. As my dad said, “This, my son, is the original.”
Buffet at Alba restaurant on Father's day celebration. For only 788/head, we get to eat unlimited suckling pig. Soft and juicy roated pork. The suckling pig was the highlight if the buffet.
True to what their identity is, the best Spanish Cuisine served by people who have mastered their craft thru the years.
The music and ambience is an added attraction but it sets the mood as if Spain is just a stone throw away.
If you're craving for good Spanish food, Alba's is the place to go. They serve buffet during lunch time and it's fairly priced. They usually have these in their buffet setup: Paella, Lengua, Callos, Cochinillo, Fish, Chicken, soup, some croquettas and tostadas. For dessert they have canonigo and some pastries.
At night they offer ala carte. Their paella is very good. Try their salpicado, it's very tender and tasty. Other items that I personally love are the croquettas, gambas, calamari, callos, lengua. Not a big fan of their Jamon Serrano though. If you're in the mood to pigout.. order the Cochinillo. End the meal with canonigo.
Alba is a good choice for Spanish food.
Spanish dinner w the amigas.
We always pass by this restaurant whenever we visit West Gate in Alabang or when we go to El Chups but since it felt like a place for "adults", I never really bothered researching about the place. True enough, the place during our visit was packed with old people and foreigners. LOL!
One friday night, I met up w my ex officemates and one suggested we eat here. We all agreed since we were all hungry and we all wanted to eat something heavy like rice or PAELLA.
Checked the reviews here just so I know what to order. Almost everyone enjoyed and liked the Paella Negra. The best according to most of the reviews. I was tempted to order that but because of my officemate's allergy, we had to order something else. Ordered the Paella Valenciana instead plus the Chorizo Fritos, and Espaguetis de la Casa.
We had to wait for 30 mins for the paella. Good thing, they serve complimentary bread & butter while we wait. The bread was just your usual bread but since it was served warm and we were hungry, we enjoyed it.
Paella Valenciana
- I have already tried Paella before but this was the first I'm trying it from a legit known restaurant and wow, the paella was really good. Overflowing with seafood toppings, like crabs, mussels, shrimps, and fish, and there's meat as well. Plus veggies. Very flavorful and with the burnt part at the buttom. The size was good enough to make the 3 of us very busog and happy.
Chorizo Fritos
- chorizo was so good! Again, so this is how a legit chorizo tastes! It was a bit toasted which made it even yummier. I liked this one but can only eat at most 3 pcs because it was too salty. I can eat more but would need rice.
Espaguetis de la Casa
- my other officemate's order. I guess she liked this one since she finished everything and didn't ask if we want to taste it! Hahaha! Well, serving size is just good for one.
Service was hmm okay? It was kind of slow.
I remember eating in Alba since I was a kid. It was one of my Grandfathers favorite my Mom and Dad also enjoyed it a lot so no surprised I do as well always had the best Spanish dishes I recommend highly
Excellent choice for traditional Spanish dishes. Their lengua with mushrooms is delicious, but the portions are small for the price. The paella valenciana is excellent value. Order it with the tutong (crispy rice sticking to the pan). Romantic spot for dinner. I hear their lunch buffets are good, and I'll definitely try it next time. Between this and Casa Armas, you have two of the best Spanish restaurants in Manila.
We tried the lunch buffet here and I love the food choices. There isn't much choices but food is flavorful so I kept coming back for my favorites. I love the tapas, lechon and paella. I lost count on how many servings I had. The desserts are so-so but I love the brazo with condensed milk on the side. My mom and dad worked at an Spanish restaurant in their younger years and I plan to bring them here next time.
Nice & good ambiance for couples on a date or simply celebrating their special occasion. We ordered calamares which is good and has the best complimentary dip with it, we also had one of their best seller which is Paella Negra & truly it is the best. You can really taste the richness of it's flavor neutralize by the rice in it. This is a full seafood dish yet it's not malansa. We had their lengua and you'd be surprise with the quantity of the amount they serve goes with the authentic taste of a spanish cuisine. Our night is complete with it's good service & good music. Two thumbs up!!!! 👍👍👍
Excellente as always. Has not lost the taste throughout the years. Still has the best valenciana among restaurants. The cochinillo was very crunchy and oozing with flavor that allows the meat to melt in your mouth
Ordered paella Negra, almondigas, paella marinara and cannonigo... All So yummy. Great food but servings a bit too small. A bit pricey too. Did not avail of the buffet coz of limited choices. May come back
I've missed out on the opportunity to have my daughter bring home some Spanish chorizo's & saffron from Barcelona and that had me craving for days. I've had a little chitchat with ine of my colleagues which made us both crave for chorizo's even more lol! 😂 We then decided to pay Alba's a visit and invited our colleagues over lunch to feast on their buffet.
The restaurant had been there for as long as I can remember, when my mom used to be a regular of then, Casa Espana, just a stones throw away. I used to order take outs from their menu and/or purchase their lovely chorizo's to prepare and feast on at home.
For starters, we had a variety of tapas, they never fail to give me a smile. I was hoping against hope that they had boquerones as part of the lunch buffet but it seems they only serve it ala cart. I'll probably just order them on my next visit.
For mains, I tried a little of most of what they had to offer. I love lengua and callos, theirs were really melt in your mouth tender, but both lacked the kick I was looking for, our family's version were way better, modesty aside. The highlight of the spread were their paella (totally loaded with seafood & chorizo's) and the cochinillo asado (suckling pig). Overall, it was a very satisfying lunch out and will be coming back soon enough 😜
My girlfriend loves their table wine. Not because it's cheap but because of its fruity and mild bitter taste that suits her palate . Best Paired with chorizo, Tostadas, and manchego

If you would like to eat food rich in flavor coupled with a warm, accomodating staff, then this place is for you! The food here is really great at a reasonable price. I've yet to try their buffet though. 👌
this is indeed a great place to feast!! i enjoyed every food they have. the place is very nice and the management and/or personnels are very accommodating. if you're on a date with someone special or with the family who would to taste the food of other nation, this is a perfect place for you!
Aside from great food, I always look for a cozy ambiance, and I found it in Alba, Polaris. Plus, I always get the value for my money. It is definitely worth it! I just love how we were entertained. I never go home without taking out their Vela de Lomo (Homemade cured pork loin).
Please take me to Spain is all I can say after having some excellent paella, callos and red wine. Please dont compromise your paella craving in other pretentious restaurants. Make the trip to Polaris St. and you wont regret it
Paella Negra highly recommended.
I love dining at Alba's even though their buffet spread is not as extensive as other buffet restaurants because I prefer quality over quantity. I love the different varieties of paella they serve, Their cochinillo is really good and I also love the lengua. They also serve hot and cold tapas like chorizos, gambas al ajillo, sardinas picantes, champignon a la plancha, etc. For dessert their canonigo is a must-try. They also serve fresh fruits. This is their main branch and service and food quality is superb.
Two thumbs up! This restaurant, by far, serves the best Paella Valenciana I have ever tasted! I'm definitely going back soon to try their other best-sellers.
Two thumbs up for a Spanish restaurant. The ambiance is cozy and the size of the place is not small and not too big. It's perfect for a family gathering.
From their buffet, I specifically like their paella, cochinillos, adobo flakes, and aglio olio. When I think about their paella, i think about rushing back their very soon. 😊
If you're craving for both Spanish cuisine and buffet, then Alba would be the perfect choice for you. This was actually the branch where I first got to try it. It was lunch time when I went here with my former boss and office colleague. We all loved the great selection of appetizers, pasta, paellas and desserts here. Canonigo is definitely a must try here when it comes to dessert!
Authentic Spanish food from years back and it still remains that way. I went back to experience their lunch buffet as I always go there for ala carte dining. Their buffet was quite worth it as it consisted of different dishes from appetizers to main course. They had tapas, salad, croquettes, lengua, fish, chicken, pork, their famous Paella and Cuchinillo.
Everything was fresh and made right on the spot. They do not bring out a lot on their chafing dish because they make sure that they bring out fresh dishes for guests to eat. Their desserts tart though was quite dry but the Canonigo saved the day. Creamy sauce with mango balls are the best ending to a Spanish meal.
Alba Is a restaurant that everyone should try.. I really enjoy their foods especially the Paella and Coca.. and its really value for money..

Knowing a restaurant is being managed well when it has not only survived but thrived over decades is one, but when you see the same frontliners providing excellent service year in & year out, you're assured that you are in a place with owners who know how to take care of their people and in turn, keep them loyal to the company.
This is exactly how I feel with Alba Makati. Each visit (I usually go there for the buffet) not only makes my tummy happy but keeps me glad to see how Alba's people have remained in the restaurant. In fact, they are part of the culture of the place. ?
And as with the people, the quality of food ranging from the appetizers, salad & soup, main dishes, carving & desserts have always been consistent in terms of freshness and taste. The place is always impeccable from the entrance, dining & buffet areas, and restroom. Even their valet service is great. :)
Below are my favorite menu items:
- Salchichas con Champignon (sausage & mushroom)
- Alcachofas con Jamon (artichokes)
- Croquetas de Pollo (chicken croquettes)
- Berenjenas al Horno (eggplant & cheeses)
- Gambas al Ajillo (shrimp)
- Tortilla Espanola
- Caldo Gallego (soup w/ chorizo, beans, sausage & cabbage)
- Paella Valenciana (chicken, pork, seafood)
- Cochinillo Asado (roasted suckling pig)
- Salpicado de Solomillo (tenderloin)
- Pato a la Naranja (roasted duck in orange sauce)
- Canonigo (meringue cake... to die for!!)
- Tarta de Chocolate Al Cointreau
(chocolate cake w/ orange liquor)
Friendly servers. Nice service. Nice place. Great food. Will definitely go back here. Will try their buffet soon, i hope sulit siya for the price.
Every time I'm into Spanish restaurant I'll order paella , either Negra or marinara and accompanying meat like dal picaro and chorizo, their excellent on those . I like the crusty paella
Ordered food from Alba for home delivery via city delivery.ph.
We tried the coca espiniacas (majorcan pie with spinach) for the first time. Nice taste with the soft spinach on top and a cutie pie below. Was somewhat bland, though.
For mains we had costillas de Vaca (beef short ribs on red wine sauce) and lengua sevilliana (ox tongue in a mushroom gravy). Both dishes were excellent in taste and texture.
Alba truly is an institution for Spanish food!
One of the all time favorites for Spanish cuisine. This restaurant serves delicious Spanish fare such as paella, tapas, cochinilla and more. Plus they also serve one of my favorite desserts which is the Canonigo. During lunch they offer a buffet package that is suitable for quick lunch meetings while during dinner you have to order from the ala carte menu.
