Place is nice and cozy. Coffee i had was good too, they have soy so it was really a plus. I can’t drink full dairy milk otherwise my stomach will go full throttle. Their selection of desserts is awesome. They also have wine and cold cuts for those looking beyond coffee. Overall, this place is a great gem to hangout in with friends and dates.
One of my favourite place and visit regularly. Great Food, Ambience and Very friendly staff. They got the best Bacon Sandwich in Makati. Thumbs Up!
If looking for a cozy brekkie place and craving for savory omelettes, hearty sandwiches, pasta and simply great coffee (but of course from Yardstick) oh and butterscotch milkshake, head to Cartel Deli in Salcedo Village.
There's variety in here you wouldn't think a deli would have. Great food. Been here thrice and I brought my family on the third time for an awesome breakfast - roast beef sandwich, four cheese sandwich, smoked salmon, carbonara and omelette w chorizo (my fav!) plus good tasting White Coffee. Plus I dig the warehouse NY-style interior! We'll be back soon!

A cozy place tucked in Salcedo Village... I love enjoying my breakfast coffee or sip Rosé for brunch in this cafe.
We got their vegetable omelettes which were perfect- fluffy and lightly seasoned. What I appreciated the most was that it was paired with sliced,toasted baguettes. Crispy on the outside and soft in the inside! 🤤
Bizcocho de Yogurt was a good pair to the black coffee that we ordered.
Service was good. Food was served right away. This is also a good place for solo dining or an after-lunch coffee date! 😉

This place is so cozy. I had a few drinks here after having a meal somewhere within the area. I had their Pedro Space Out Coffee Stout Beer and Maeloc Strawberry. The craft beer was really surprising! It had the taste of coffee and beer and I was amazed. The place was not that full but as late afternoon came, people start to come in especially they have their Happy Hour between 3 PM - 7 PM. I'd recommend this place for having talks with friends and casual business meetings.
I love everything about the place. Fancy but not overwhelming. Variety of food and drinks. It’s amazingly good. A good place to dine or chill with friends or if you just simply wants to relax on your own.

I have been here multiple times already (just a walk from my office bldg.) and they never disappoint. The food is so deli, generous serving & reasonable price. And I like the ambience. And if I’m not mistaken, food items on the menu is 25% after 8PM.

Ordered their jamon serrano & shitake mushroom omelette and chorizo bites tapas. My comment on their food is it really is good and of course their coffee because its yardstick, for the ambience it is very cozy good for solos and dining in with friends too, but for their service I agree with other comments/ reviews that I have read in various social media sites like facebook, they really have bad service. When you come in they don’t care, and when I ordered and handed my credit card out, after the cashier swiped it she didn’t hand it over but just slightly throw it making it slide on the counter table. Also when I said no salt on my omelette she made a face but overall food and quality is really good. Just bad service.
Amazing place for breakfast and chai tea latte :) a good pick me up if you want to opt for something else besides coffee

I usually spend my sunday morning cafe hopping. This time, I decided to visit Cartel Coffee and Deli in Makati. I’ve read really good reviews of their coffee and food.
PLACE- 4 OUT OF 5 STARS
The store opens at 7 am, I arrived there a couple of minutes earlier. The place was spacious and can accomodate a crowd of customers. It is well ventilated but I find the space to be a bit dark.
SERVICE - 4 out of 5 STARS
The crews greeted me with a smile on their faces. The cashier were kind enough to assist me through their menu.

Spicy Shrimp Linguine
It was my first time dining there so I played safe and ordered Capuccino and Spicy shrimp Linguine. The coffee was good but I really liked the pasta. The pasta was al dente and not that spicy, which I’m thankful because I don’t like too spicy food.
INSTAGRAMMABLE - 3 out of 5 stars
The place is instagrammable but isn’t well lit. Another problem is the color of the bulb their using, it messes up with the camera.
SERVING TIME - 4.5 out of 5 stars
They serve my coffee a couple of minutes after I ordered it, it is expected as I am their first customer. After 5 minutes after the coffee was serve, the pasta arrived at my table.

I can't wait to go back and try their meals, we already had dinner when we went here so we just had drinks to end the night.
We tried the Hot Chocolate and the Iced White. I liked both. They are both flavorful and the sugar level was just right, not too sweet, just the way I like it ✨
Always a good experience at Cartel Deli, starting with their door attendant who’s always cheerful. The cafe has a nice interior, though their chairs aren’t very comfy, maybe as intended to.
Place has a good selection of food and drinks, and diners may cross order from Pablo (sister restaurant beside Cartel Deli) if they wish.
What I Liked:
One of the nicest cafe i’ve been to. It’s really cozy, and intimate. It’s what I think of when I hear “a clean, well-lighted place”. They have a variety of food and drinks to choose from too — and healthy options on the menu is a bonus.
Nice cafe experience overall. They have great vegetable and chicken sandwiches and pizzeta. The coffee is good but the butterscotch milkshake is one of the best around it.

I’m such a morning person that I always prefer cafés that open as early as 7 AM— and Cartel happens to be one of those.
For breakfast, I would recommend their Spinach Quiche. They have lots of breads and sandwich options too (love the Grilled Three Cheese!). Pair it with any of Yardstick’s coffee. I like my coffee strong, so get the Black one.
For dinner, I suggest you order the Jamon Serrano & Shiitake Mushroom Pasta. It’s perfect with a glass of wine. Not to be biased, but Borsao Merlot would be a great choice. It’s my favorite brand of red wine :)
One time after my yoga class, I decided to eat dinner here. Little did I know that they have discounts on their breads, quiches, and salad! I order the Tuna Pasta Salad. It’s P200 at regular, but I got it with 20% discount!
Take note that the discount is only for selected items and starts only at 8 PM.
Also, Cartel has never disappointed me with their playlist. Everytime I go here, I can hear the tracks in my own playlist. Haha! Love that they have a good taste in music— Poolside, Flight Facilities, Syre, and the like.
Cartel is a good place to catch up with friends, because it’s not too noisy. The ambiance is just perfect.
Ordered the spanish omelette, ham and cheese croissant, cheese pizza and ham and cheese omelette. Everything was delicious except the pizza. Small and nice ambiance resto.
One of my favorite places in Makati. They serve coffee and tea from Yardstick, various pastries and bread, cheese, cold cuts from Txanton, and wine! Their food selections are broad, ranging from salads to tapas.
We ordered a hot black coffee, iced chai latte, and an affogato. The affogato was amazing and only costs 150, which is miles apart price-wise from other coffee shops. Was not able to taste the vanilla ice cream by itself since I was so excited to consume it already, but with the quality espresso shot and a dash of cinnamon and sea salt, it was A+.
A space which can both be a viable workplace and for intimate conversations, Cartel is an absolute gem. Plus, did I mention that they serve wine?
Excellent place to unwind after a long day at the office. We go there every Saturday morning before going to the Saturday market. The selection is very well thought and everything tastes amazing. The staff is very polite and friendly and all the productos and ingredients are of excellent quality.
Friendly staff, excellent ambiance, and many foods to choose from. I personally love the coffee here because its by Yardstick. Will definitely come back for some more! 😋

I find that Cartel's Deli is the kind of cafe, restaurant, wine and deli shop that this neighbourhood sorely needed.
It adapts itself to what people look for at different times of day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's got plenty of character. I've been there for lunch and for dinner, and when the buzz of the busy day is over, it transforms itself into a super cozy spot that's got nice music playing in the background, with quick things to eat off the menu, and then even nicer things you can pick off the shelves to take home for an excellent dinner.
By nice, I mean various sorts of Spanish cold cuts and cheese, from jamon iberico to jamon bellota, to discs of goat cheese and Manchego, which goes well with Tio Pepe sherry, thoughtfully inserted amongst bottles of Chardonnay, Riesling, and rosé. Old World Tempranillos are arranged over the cold cuts and cheese; Italian white and reds, and imported beers are there, too, to the right of the display.
There's more, of course, from Gouda and Swiss cheese to, if I'm not mistaken, locally made yogurt; then you've got fresh juices, a great selection of soft drinks and craft beer, and then real salads and sandwiches to go. For lunch. Real take out sandwiches!
And that's not to mention the dried pastas, the Spanish arroz, adlai (adlai!), and bars of chocolate in the far corner, next to a small mix of rum and gins that can be bought in case of dire emergency. Can't find Don Papa Rum anywhere? (That, actually, is sort of a problem, I found out). Well, Cartel's Deli has it. One bottle, maybe two.
Cartel's keeps prices of its dishes down to a fault, based on my off-the-top calculations. Try the Bacon Mushroom Pizzetta, or the Jamon Serrano and Mushroom (and Chili) pasta. Salads are in the 200-300 peso range. It's very good value for money.
Coffee is from Yardstick, as is the mix for their chai latte, which I really like. Scones, usually hard to find outside of the hotel afternoon tea trays, are in ample supply; there are cookies, too, and cake, and baked breads.
I wonder how they can do it all, but they certainly try. What an asset to Salcedo's lively mix of restos.
Employees are very friendly, wide variety of drinks from coffee to healthy drinks to cold brews,homemade ice cream, variety of cheap wines ❤️ awesome ambiance. Will definitely comeback ❤️

We visited Cartel post our Pilates session last Saturday looking for something light to fill our tummies & some good coffee. Cartel serves Yardstick coffee and I sort of like their cozy, woody ambience where you can purchase packaged salads / sandwiches as well as their fresh brews. We ordered the Chicken Ceasar Wrap (Php 230), Black 7oz. (Php 120) and my absolute favourite here - Black Magic (Php 150)! If you are a Starbucks fan, don’t expect the same quantity or even hospitality (they don’t make an effort to remember you / your order even if you visit regularly) but they serve real good coffee! The wrap was good too and can be shared if you are not too hungry.
Good quality ingredients overall, easily the best coffee in the area, and a lovely ambiance overall. Only criticism I have is that, while the ingredients are good, in some of the sandwiches there's a lack of contrast to make them very well rounded. They're still very good overall, just noting that there's room for improvement in their sandwiches. Otherwise, their coffee, desserts, and pastas are lovely!
Amongst a couple inauthentic coffee shops built here and there, quality coffee shops in the Metro are what I consider a real gem — and Cartel Deli is a part of that.
What the place lacks in space, it makes up for its selection of food choices, drink options, and pastry assortment.
I had a hot chai latte and a blueberry muffin for a brief stay at this café.
Seemingly conscious of the hot chai latte that I had, I can’t help but compare the taste to Toby’s Estate’s version of chai latte — whether it be iced or hot. Though Cartel Deli’s was good, I will just have to go with Toby’s! (P.S. try it if you haven’t yet!)
As for the blueberry muffin which I had them warmed, it was reminiscent of how appetizing the muffins in Dean & Deluca are for it perfectly complimented my hot drink.
I had a cup of americano and vanilla chewy while my boyfriend had a cup of mocha and some biscuits. I think that the ambiance was really nice. The vanilla chewy was good! :) i liked my coffee but my boyfriend didnt like his. He said that it tasted just like hot chocolate. I also didnt like the biscuits that he got. My cup of americano was reasonably priced at P120 but his drink was quite pricey at P180 (large), but the cup was a bit smaller than Starbucks’ tall cup, to think that that was already their large.
I would love to come back to try their other stuff on the menu :)

We had creamy pesto and chorizo jalapeño both taste so good and satisfying. For our drinks, I had black coffee and my friend had the brew of the day and it didn't disappoint. Sweet pastries are also available at the counter.

At first, I wanted to order the calamansi cherry fizz, but they said it was out of stock. Settled for the pineapple daladan, it was not bad. Paired it with a cinnamon pudding which as tasty. The ambience was relaxing n bathroom was cutesy. I'm glad they carry Pinkie's farm yogurts! Yummy!
Chill vibes, soft dim lighting and a variety of spanish wines and delis are very unusual for a cafe setting. to top the experience off with a cool glass of their pride "salcedo swing". Highly recommended. A very fruity and refreshing take on their cold brew coffee. Hope to try their delis when the price is right mehehe.
I was not expecting to find such place with great ambiance and fantastic food :) it was served quite fast too. We ate creamy pesto and salmon sandwich. Sooo good!! Obviously they use ingredients with quality which is 2 thumbs up! :) definitely will go back to try other dishes. No pictures taken since baby and me are so hangry haha It is totally worth it :)
Had a tall flat white and it was really good. This cafe knows their coffee well, however the roast beef sandwich was pitiful plus it took them 40 mins. to make. An apology for the service lapse would have been appreciated but none was given. Great coffee lousy sandwich.

After a very heavy lunch, I was looking for a place to chill out. And I saw Cartel which I never tried before and it turns out they're serving coffee from Yardstick which is one of my favorite cafes around. I ordered Vanilla Flat White and it's amazing as expected. The service is just meh nothing really spectacular probably decent I'll say. The ambiance is so classy I love the dimness and there's no much people which is good for me because I don't like full cafes.
The coffee was expertly done and the vibe was great inside. I will have to go back for food another time as well as pick up some sausages and cured meats.
This really is a good find after a pig out session at the weekend market. The Vanilla Flat White Coffee is addicting we can’t resist but to get another helping.
The price is reasonable and the place is cozy with great ambience.

Tried their milk chocolate cookie and their vanilla flat white. The cookie was fine, I don't really find anything too spectacular about it. Their flat white was good, delivers what you'd expect which is a nice mellow coffee flavor, they have a lot of other nice specialty ingredients available for sale so that's definitely a reason to come here. Would come back to go try their food
Cartel Deli has such a beautiful ambiance. Once you go inside you're greeted by an array of bread, desserts, deli meats, jams, preserves, wine and of course coffee. I went there at night and just needed something a little sweet with just the right amount of caffeine. They recommended Flat White Coffee in which i paired with Chorizo Baked Eggs. I was torn between that and Grilled Cheese and even considered ordering both (LOL). Their cookies are great too, pair it with warm milk and you're good to go.
Good food plus great place! Worth every penny, perfect place to relax and chill. Their coffee is one of a kind, with pastries that are to die for.
They have good bread and their deli has a decent selection. I like the yogurt that they sell from the deli!
I liked their pork belly sandwich and carbonara. The spanish chorizo omelet was good, but serving was a bit small.
They have a collab with Yardstick, so the coffee they serve here is from Yardstick. :)
One downside is if you eat/drink something that you bought from their deli, they charge you corkage :-/
Cartel is a Spanish-Filipino Coffee bar and Deli, snugged perfectly amidst the idyll Salcedo Village setting. I loved that I was here on a slow Sunday afternoon, I can just imagine how crowded this place may be on a normal weekday.
I had the Iced Latte and a chocolate chip muffin. Iced Latte was just okay, brewed just right with the right amount of ice cold milk.
The muffin was surprisingly very moist and tatsy. I am not a fan of muffins in general but thos one easily gets my vote (okay ill try the blueberry one next time as recommended)
As a deli they had various breads, cold cuts, and jams/spreads, wine, which are mostly imported from Spain.
Would love to be back here to catch up on some work or catch up with friends.

Place is quite small - good setup for quick meetups. It's like santi's + QSR. Their coffee is good and they serve wines and other alcoholic beverages too. Very vibrant ambiance!
I've been to a lot of Third Wave Coffee Shops but I can say that Cartel exceeded my expectations. I was told to order their Salcedo Swing it's the best!!! It smelled and tasted like wine but you're actually drinking coffee!

Love cartel! Great place for breakfast or a quick snack. Has some of the best coffee imho. First time to try their bacon and egg sandwich. Very good but I wish there was more bacon! Other than that cartel has my business.
Went for the omelette and the taste was nice. But the baguette was a little hard which quite hard for me to chew it. Hope it will get better for the baguette. While other environment and staff are amazing. Definitely will pay another visit for it.
This is one of the many hip third wave coffees in Makati and I must say this comes as one of my new favorites. I ordered iced flat white with french vanilla and it did not disappoint. I like how third wave coffee nowadays are the new trendsetters and being more open in introducing authenticity and true strong coffee brews to the public, and Cartel ( i think this place is a collab with yardstick) is one of those who shares true love for coffee to the public. The chewy vanilla cookie is a must as well. Customer service is A++! We got the chance to have a convo with the barista and we had a nice chat bout coffee. Ambiance is hip and very cool! Good for relaxing and having chats with friends. Will surely comeback!
The pastries (we ordered a scone and a muffin) and the service were really good. The staff were very upbeat and professional. I also love the decor and vibe. It's a great place to hangout if you're in the Salcedo area. However, I'd only rate the coffee (by Yardstick Coffee) a 2.5/5.
I love the vibe of this place - many options to choose from (sandwiches, soups, pastries, salad) but to stay or to take away. For me, it feels like something you'd find in Brooklyn. Coffee is delicious, drinks are creative, and my go-to breakfast on the go is to grab two of the little ham and cheese sandwiches on brioche.

When I learned that there was a counterpart to Yardstick in the Salcedo Village area, I could not pass up the opportunity to try out this place. It has really good fit outs for those who somehow love the deli style open kitchen type of setup. Plus their iced coffee is what is expected that you get in Yardstick. I would definitely be back in this place maybe after a long day moving around the Salcedo Market on a Saturday and simply having a good cup of brew here with someone. =)
I don't know how they keep the place serene despite the flood of customers. I love the place, not just the ambience but the service. People here are polite and smart. Don't forget to try the cookies!

We ordered the ham and cheese omelette and the Bacon and cheese Baguette. It was both really good! At first I thought that the prices were a bit too expensive especially since the dishes were so simple. But after tasting them, I understood why the prices were at that.
The ambiance is very chill and laid back, simple yet cozy. I went at around 10am on a Sunday and the place was already full! I suggest to go earlier or during offset hours if you want to dine in.
To cap off the week, I'm in search for best tasting coffee. I happened to be in Makati and my feet took me to Cartel.
This is an awesome place. Nice lighting, spacious, chillax music, and they got pastries, deli, and some liquors. Coffee served is is by Yardstick. ♥️♥️♥️ On a Friday they are open til 1AM.
For Coffee, I ordered White Coffee (large size for P160). Its soooo good! Bold coffee flavor. Though since its has milk foam on top, its not that hot.
Then, after 30 minutes, I still find myself looking at their menu mounted at the cashier. Their "nightcaps" caught my attention. Its coffee with Liquor. The barista recommended the Espresso Martini No 1 ( btw they got No. 2 also) its a 5 oz drink for P290. Small margarita glass, it has coffee and a taste of tequilla. Small yet there's kick!
Hope to try their sandwiches, omelettes, pastas and salad next time😊
Tip: they have a daily happy hour from 5pm-8pm, nightcaps is only P200.
Absolutely in love with the ambiance of this place.
Grabbed a quick lunch with my boyfriend here on a Sunday. It wasn't as packed and crowded as a normal place for a Sunday. They played light jazz and the lighting is also great.
I had the chicken mesclun salad with the yoghurt Ceasar dressing and he had the native mesclun salad with the vinaigrette dressing. The salads are very hearty, crisp, and fresh. We also had chorizo fried egg on the side which is the fluffiest egg I've ever had.
The show stopper here are their drinks. Their espresso is one of the best ones you can ever have around Makati! Absolutely delectable. Their Chai tea latte was good as well.
However, it's quite pricey. But then again you're paying for the quality of the food and place which is totally worth it. It's now my favorite lunch place in Makati.
It’s time to complete the deal on this. It’s time to just head here, have coffee and indulge in their offers. I like the overall elan of this deli. Since it doubles as a market, it’s nice to be surrounded with both local and international goods. But what takes centerstage here are their sandwiches and coffee. They also have egg dishes and salads that are perfect for anytime of the day.
We didn't order coffee, instead we had bottled carabao milk and yogurt which was good. My friends and I also loved the spinach quiche. The also sell organic veggies, imported beers and meat products. Prices for food and drinks is affordable.
Chill ambiance and friendly staff. Highly recommended for those who's looking for a quiet place to work/study or bond with friends. They play nice music you wouldn't want to ruin the vibe of the place. At some point you'll smell goodies baked from the kitchen..you'll love it too...
This deli made me feel like I'm off to Germany. I ordered the mint chocolate cookies and the chocolate ccroissant. Love it both! I love how chewy the cookie is! You should also try their Iced Mocha and Yardshake drink. This place is definitely worth visiting ;)
Wish they could open longer? Although it says here 11pm we stayed until beyond midnight. They have selections of your usual coffee choices plus other crafted coffee. I tried salt and pepper which tasted a little like peppermint barks that I like. They also carry and sell a lot of goods from our stores like coffee from Yardstick, jamon from txanton etc. It's almost like your little high end bodega.
A lovely coffeeshop and deli along LP Leviste Salcedo. Very stylish interiors and extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Coffee is from Yardstick and I loved my Long Black. The Adlai Salad bowl was very good with microgreens and the superfood, adlai, in a soy onion dressing.
Picked up a green cheese scone for the next day's breakfast and it tasted great. Have to visit again to try out their sandwiches and cheese. And buy the Holy Carabao products they stock here.
Only downside is they don't have wifi.
Eureka! I found you Cartel! I have been meaning to swing by this posh deli for quite sometime. The traffic is Makati is a lil daunting.
One night, we found ourselves exploring Makati by foot. The next thing i knew we were standing in front of Cartel. We decided to hang and wait for Makati traffic to die a natural death.
I was planning to get a cup of joe but the cider is giving me a sly smile. Cider it is for the Titas!
I love the overall ambience of Cartel. It screams relaxed and homey. The music they play is wicked good, nothing too loud and popular. We finished our cider while listening to chill music. Shared a couple of laughs and stories.

Cartel has upped the bar for hipster coffee shops. Cute place, I love their Salcedo Sling and black bottom muffins. Making this one of my go-to places.
One will surely love the industrial interior of Cartel. It's perfect if you're after a serene place for a quick bite after a long day at work.
The place may not be too conducive for a large group, as there's some space constraint.
The food - well, there's not too much of food choices. I've tried their Yardshake (which is a specialty of Yardstick) and their sammiches. Anyone who loves fresh and organic food have a lot to choose from.

Very happy with this new addition to Salcedo. Great place to stop for breakfast, lunch, or an evening coffee. I've tried a number of things on the menu and have not been disappointed with anything so far. The staff is friendly and inviting and the place has a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommend checking this place out .
