I love Singaporean food, and I’m so glad a restaurant like this is open because I feel like there aren’t enough places with the same local dishes.
Ordered roti prata with curry sauce, hainanese chicken, bah kut teh, and chicken satay. All were very savory and delicious!
I really love Singaporean food so my friend was quick to recommend this place (which she also raves about). Ate here out of curiosity and it did not disappoint. We got the seafood laksa, roti with curry sauce, hainanese chicken, and chicken satay. All of them were really, really good! I got a bit bitin though with the amount of laksa soup so hopefully they could add a bit more soup into it. Overall, every cent we spent here was worth it!
Ordered in Foodpanda. Cravings satisfied 😍😍😍
Especially enjoyed the roti with chicken curry and roti with caramelized bananas.
Came back just a few days after my first time eating here because I just LOVED the roti so much!!! This is my first time to write a review because I can’t get over how excited I am to have come across really good roti. It’s made fresh, served warm, perfectly flaky but chewy in each bite. The dips (I’ve tried the basic curry as well as the chicken curry) are perfect accompaniments to the roti, although I could’ve finished it on its own. Definitely going to keep coming back for this!
Also tried a couple of other things from the menu — The beef rendang was perfectly tender and flavourful, and I really enjoyed eating this as well. Not a huge fan of their seafood laksa; it’s too creamy and thick for my liking. Half a bowl will do (good thing I split with my friend!).
The restaurant itself has a very youthful and inviting atmosphere and the servers are all very attentive. Overall a great dining experience!
Best Hainanese chicken rice! ❤
The place is small but have enough seating for at least 30-40 pax! Ordered their best selling chicken rice and it’s not bad as this also comes with their famous roti and curry. The chicken is just alright, not as tender as the one in Singapore but the meal was sumptuous. A good place for something authentic and different when visiting Rockwell.
The best roti prata in town deserves..5*
The teh tarik doesn't deserve any star... Taste sucks...
Food was nice but is an acquired taste. Some may find the taste unpleasant but for me it was interesting.
Liked the phad thai and the roti with curry dip. Also the chicken satay. Not something I eat often but was nice to try once in a while.
This store is the best Singaporean resto i tried here in Manila. The menu is not a lot but the quality and service is amazing
Dishes:
1. Roti w/ chicken curry - 4/5
2. Teh Tarik - 3.5/5
3. Chicken satay: 3.5/5
4. Garlic fried chicken: 4/5
5. Haianese chicken rice: 3.5/5
It was my 2nd time here and tried their other menu items. And didn’t disappoint.
1. Wanted to get something small to eat with my gf and tried out their roti. Was pretty good and flaky, soaked up the curry so well. I would definitely come back for roti.
2. Tea was OK for me, my gf enjoyed it. I wished it had a more frothy feel to it.
3. Satay was plenty flavorful but a bit on the dry side
4. Loved the garlic fried chicken, garlic is life. Highly recommend his dish if you are a garlic lover
5. Haianese chicken was nice and game with soup and several sauces
Very closely authentic food, delicious and presented appropriately, and reasonably priced! All this is compounded by great service from a competent and friendly staff. Plus points for inviting decor! Highly recommended!
Been missing Singaporean food lately. Me and my bf have high standards with Singaporean cuisine since he stayed there for 2 years. It became our second home. Their roti made us feel like we were back in Singapore. So authentic. Add some Milo dinosaur and it feels like your home.
Excellent food and service!
New favourite! Delicious chicken satay and roti with chicken curry. Their milk tea, perfection! Even their hot sauce is good.
Really attentive wait staff, bright interiors and ❤❤❤❤ their Bowie playlist.
Lastly, very very affordable! Super value for money.
I love their Rotis. I would drive qc to makati just for their roti :)
I tried other food items as well like the hainanese chicken and the seafood laksa. --- i think they used frozen shrimp coz the shrimp was mushy. It didn't taste so fresh but the laksa was good in terms of flavor. Hainanese chicken was ok, not the best. Maybe 3.5 for the chicken.
Definitely tho, the rotis are good.
One of a kind place that is specializes in, well, ROTI. And of course other southeast asian cuisine.
The roti is served fresh and you would instantly be enticed by that sweet, buttery, warm aroma. You can order it with a small bowl of curry, lentil soup or have with cheese, onions and chili. The roti is big and can be the perfect appetizer or the meal altogether.
Was able to try their mee goreng and nasi lemak as well. The nasi lemak was your typical chicken, rice with shrimp paste and nuts. But the mee goreng had a nice spicy, seafood taste to it.
I can see myself going back here and going all "tita" and order roti with cheese and coffee. ❤
great service! loveeeeee the food!!! we ordered roti curry, hainanese chicken, beef rendang, and sticky toffee pudding...
the hainan chicken is one of the best that I have had compared to other resto...the chicken itsef was already tasty even without the condiments
beef rendang was good with right amount of spice
pudding wasnt too sweet...just right
the roti curry was awesome!!!
will definitely come back. thumbs up!
Still the best Beef Rendang since Long Grain days! Satay could be better. One of the best Roti in Metro Manila. Martabak is so so. Not bad! Would love to try other dishes.
We tried Roti Shop for the first time. I especially loved the Roti with Curry! I could eat it all by myself. The Char Kway Teow was also delicious. Loved that they adjusted the taste because we asked for. Non spicy one. The chicken satay was also veyr flavorful. Prices are also very reasonable considering we ordered a lot of food.
Definitely one of the best and affordable resto in Powerplant. We ordered Roti Prata with Curry, Seafood Laksa, Beef Rendang, and Chicken Sate. My fave among the dishes that we ordered is the Roti Prata with Curry. The curry is so flavorful. You can even pair it up with rice which I did 😂. My least fave is their Laksa. It’s good though but it’s too spicy for me. The spicyness of it actually overpowered the real flavor of the Laksa. The Rendang was good too! I mean, it’s very close to the Rendang flavor that I have tasted in Indonesia. :)
Overall, this restaurant is worth trying. ☺️
Wonderful time here. Food was full of flavor. The roti with curry sauce was divine and a must try, I guess that’s why it’s called the roti shop. Ordered the beef rendang and my wife the vegetarian laksa. Great service was well! Will definitely be back
Pleasantly surprised by how good this place is. Def satisfied my Malaysian food cravings. Excellent value for the lunch combo! Even the caramelized banana roti was excellent - like mini turons minus the deep frying. Would highly recommend and will def be coming back!!
The Hawker Chick Meal
(Malaysian Garlic Fried Chicken, Jasmine Rice, Fresh Roti, and Curry Sauce)
Garlic really added to its presentation but the chicken was a bit dry. Sweet sauce was just okay.
The Rendang & Roti Combo
(Beef Rendang, Fresh Roti, Curry Sauce, and Bean Sprouts with Soy Dressing)
Ultimately, this was my favorite dish! Beef was really tender and spice level was tolerable. Roti was super fluffy with hardly any traces of oil; more like flakes. We were almost tempted to order an extra roti!
Servers proactively and constantly refilled our service water. Wait times for food dishes, bill, and change were reasonably quick.
Located at the basement floor beside MilkyWay Cafe. Seats are a bit limited.
Mia and I finally got to visit this restaurant last night. We’ve been wondering about their food since we shop around the Power Plant Mall often.
Roti Shop serves mostly Malaysian cuisine. They also serve some Indian and Singaporean inspired dishes.
Well, you must have their specialty, Roti. We shared the Roti Prata, a crisp yet light flatbread, that’s good even without its spiced up curry or lentil dip. It’s a good value at Php 150 only.
I also loved Roti Shop’s take on Bak Kut Teh, a herbal rib soup that’s both fragrant and peppery. It’s best paired with plain white rice since its flavors are robust.
Mia almost finished her half order of Hainanese Chicken Set. It was a lot given that Roti Shop serves it all white meat. I got some too, and I can say it’s one of the best in the Metro.
We ended our little feast with Chendol; an iced dessert made up of pandan, beans, milk, and syrup. I found this too sweet. I should have requested less sugar.
Roti Shop, great start. It would be impossible for not to have another location in the nearby future.
Worth trying! We had their chicken satay, beef rendang and roti combo, and the best selling roti with caramelized bananas. So tasty!
Roti was delicious on its own. Rendang was very spicy, which I liked very much. Chicken satay and the roti were cooked just right. The dessert was heavenly. My first time eating banana roti with latik! Yummy!
You don’t need to wait for a travel fair discount or some airline to dangle ridiculously cheap airline tickets to satisfy your Singapore Hawker food craving. Roti Shop at Rockwell is as close as you can get to the actual authentic experience. It certainly gets the job done in delivering the addictive taste of hawker Cuisine at surprising reasonable prices.
In case you decide to forgo airfare bargain hunting and visit Roti Shop, Here are the Top 3 dishes I suggest you try:
1.) Hainanese Chicken - This is probably the last item I would order on such a menu but they made me fall in love with their version of this Chinese staple. Their version was superbly done, the chicken was tender and very tasty which if not done right can be bland at times. Couple with their sweet soy sauce, ginger and chili dips, this is the type of dish that can please the palate across the flavor spectrum.
2.) Roti (Cheese, Chocolate, or Caramel) - Of course I had to include what Roti Shop is known for, their Roti m, which had that melt in your mouth butter texture. You get to pick your poison whether you like it sweet (chocolate or caramel) or salty (cheese or stuffed with meat), it’s as versatile as dishes can get being that it can either be an appetizer, main or dessert.
3.) Char Kway Teow - Noodles cooked just right with that signature smoky and prawn infused flavor is what would aptly describe their version of this hawker classic. It looks like but is deceptively heavy once consumed.
Missing Singapore lately? Check out Roti Shop and their excellent take on roti! Flaky, light yet very filling, get the Roti Prata with Curry Sauce or the Breakfast Murtabak, filled with corned beef and onions, and a sunny side up egg on top! Also gorge on Hainanese Chichekn Rice that's flavorful and gingery, and the Malaysian Crispy Garlic Rice. Don't forget to enjoy their Char Kway Teo too!
Let Roti Shop transport you to the busy hawker streets of SG!

Very nice, amazing high-quality food. Arrived fast hot and crispy. I love roti for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highly recommended for indian food lovers :)
V good. Service was fast and attentive
Staff was nice and understood english well
They forgot i ordered soup however i ordered too much food so i just cancelled it anyways
I always wanted to go to Singapore but destiny never permit me to go there. (HAHA) let’s move on with this. Upon entering the restaurant, you’ll see the bright colors like Orange, green, and yellow and Maneki-nekos or lucky cats are their wall accent. also, I really like their printed floorings.
Roti is flat bread originally from India. Usually paired with curry sauce but the basic roti of roti shop was flavorful enough that even without the dip you’ll love.
We also tried the Hainanese chicken rice and the nasi lemak. The chicken was juicy but I think it’s a bit bland.

My Roti Shop experience was such an eye-opener. Why so? I never knew that I could actually enjoy Roti outside it being dipped in curry sauce.
And so, my adventure began with Roti Cheese, it was, I think, the best of all. Then we tried Murtabak (fully-loaded Roti Parta wrap). The Beef I liked and so was the Veggie (chickpeas/garbanzos, spinach and carrots). We were also served Corned Beef Onion. I didn't like it as much. Why? You see, I have this dislike for restaurants that just open a can of corned beef and serve it. Well, as expected, that was what happened. It tasted canned. Sauteed canned corned beef.
We were also served Hainanese Chicken Rice which was a stand-out. I took it as it is though it came with three dips: chili, ginger and sweet soy sauce.
Finally, we ended with Roti Chocolate or Caramel. Expect the sweet sauce to get all over your fingers which you will be licking off. Don't worry, it's all part of the fun (I say, finger-lickin' good?)
Resraurants serving Malaysian Cuisine are few and far in the philippines amidst more popular choices, so dining in one of said restaurants is a treat.
Thankfully Roti Shop is an excellent treat as well as a great place to have something different. As the name suggests they got the best roti (Malaysian/Singaporean flatbread popular in mentioned countries) that can give their counterparts a run for their money in terms of quality and value. They also offer other Malaysian dishes including Hianese Chicken Rice, Char Kuey Teow and Nasi Lemak along with their desserts as well (such is Chendol which is a shaved ice dessert akin to Halo Halo but with different toppings).
If there is one suggestion for improvement it would be adding a few other Malaysians dishes into their current offerings but overall you will not be disappointed in having a meal at Roti Shop.
Roti Shop is a Hawker-style restaurant located on the basement level of Powerplant Mall. Singaporean but not quite, they blend together a myriad of flavors to create fusion dishes that are uniquely their own— borrowed concepts from Filipino, Indian cuisine and more.
Fellow foodies and I were lucky to try out the place one Saturday afternoon. Here are the highlights of my visit there.
🧀 Roti Cheese: the Singaporean slash Malaysian flatbread gets an upgrade when they stuff it in cheese. This adds a salty, cheddar taste, and gives it a gooey, chewy consistency that pairs well with the soft roti. If you want an extra kick of flavor to it, I recommend dipping it in a bowl of their yellow curry for that spiced flavor that is slightly spicy yet at the same time creamy.
🐔 Hainanese Chicken Rice: a quintessential Hawker dish, the steamed chicken is tender and tasty, packed with flavor and quite good. It comes with your choice of spicy sauce or sticky sweet soy sauce, but I think it would be better if it had the fragrant shreds of ginger, spring onion and oil, which is a must-have for this Singaporean classic. Rice was good too— flavorful, fluffy and the good kind of oily with that burst of chicken flavor. And they used the good kind of rice here too... Jasmine!
🥡 Regular Char Kway Teow: these stir fried rice noodles come loaded with tons of veggies and seafood— plump shrimp, tofu, egg and spring onions. I love that the noodles still held its form (I hate mushy soft noodles) but wasn't too tough— just the right balance. It reminded me of Pad Thai noodles without the sweetness, as this one was more savory.
🍫 The moment they brought out this huge cone-shaped sheet of Roti, we were anticipating a bowl of curry to go with it. But joke's on us— it came with a bottle of melted chocolate and a bowl of sprinkles instead! This treat is called Roti Tisu: a dessert that is fun to decorate and eat! Squeeze gooey milk chocolate over the tissue-shaped flatbread, toss in as much sprinkles as you like, and tear at it. Roti was thin, something like a tortilla but not quite, soft on the inside yet crisp on the corners, and the chocolate is not too sweet, milky and sticky, making this a fun dessert where you can get handsy!
Here in Roti Shop, they showed us that Roti can be served in many ways, even as a dessert! For those who don't know what a roti is, roti (also known as chapati) is a round flatbread native to the Indian subcontinent made from stoneground whole meal flour, traditionally known as atta. To be honest, it reminds me of a pita bread. Roti Shop is located in G/F, Power Plant Mall in Rockwell, Makati. Their place maybe small, but it was pleasing and Instagram-worthy! You'll see several neko figurines. They also have an open-kitchen and you'll see how the chefs flip and create the Roti.
My favorite is the Roti Cheese. Each part (especially in the middle) is rich in cheese! If you find your roti lacking with cheese, I recommend dipping it on their curry sauce. They also have options for vegan or non-vegan dishes/roti. I like how they come up with Breakfast Roti (topped with fried egg, and this roti has corned beef inside) though I think, it's better to cook it the better way that the egg yolk will ooze. The Roti Tisu is thin and crispy bread. It's topped with choco or caramel syrup (tastes like latik) and sprinkled with sweets. It was fun and enjoyable to eat together with your friends as you tear it apart.

A key feature of Singapore’s foodie scene is the proliferous hawker shop. Populated by stalls selling wondrous varieties of inexpensive food, the Singapore’s hawker centers are among the first food stops for many tourists and a go-to place for good yet cheap eats for the locals. Having already closed her Southeast Asian Restaurant Wild Ginger in the Power Plant Mall, Marla Moran decided to use the space vacated to bring a hawker-style eatery to the mall. And so the Roti Shop came to be.
The Roti Shop brings in well-loved hawker-style food in the limelight focusing on the versatile roti prata.
The basic roti could be eaten with curry sauce or go for the Roti Cheese.
Try the Murtabak, fully loaded filled Roti kinda like an Asian Quesadilla. Get the Beef, Veggie ( chickpea, peas, spinach) and, my favorite, the Corned beef & egg.
Their Hainanese chicken was very good, served with Jasmine rice, soup and the 3 sauces of ginger, chili and sweet soy sauce.
Try their .....
Char Kway Teow, wok tossed rice noodles with seafood and chicken.
Roti Shop Chendol - iced dessert with pandan jelly, red beans, coconut milk and coco palm sugar syrup
Roti Tisu - cone-shaped bread drizzled with chocolate or coconut caramel syrup with candy sprinkles. The kid in you would love this!
Got the basic Roti with Curry sauce, Roti Prata with Dal, and Chicken Satay.
Roti's were nice and puffy! Sauce had good heat but could use more body.
Roti Prata maybe more caramelization on the onions would help. Chicken Satay not bad.
Great new find in this excellent mall. Am going back when I'm in the area again.
We ordered Seafood Laksa, Bah-Kut-Te and Nasi Goreng for delivery. The seafood laksa and Nasi goreng are pretty good. It would be nice if the Nasi Goreng came with sambal sauce to make it apicy though. The Bah-Kut-Te was a bit on the salty side... make sure to eat it with rice.. but not bad.
I’ve been to Malaysia a couple of times and let me tell you - this place does not disappoint!!! They achieved that ultra dynamic spicy Malay flavour! Personal favorites are the Curry Roti and Onion and Cheese Dynamite Roti 🤪 i have yet to try the dessert rotis tho! Def will be comming back!
Such a cute and cozy restaurant! They serve ROTI PRATA, the famous crispy and flaky Singaporean-Malaysian flat bread.

Excellent and on time service and they gave us good food suggestions to make it an enjoyable dining experience
It was a few days before Christmas. I decided to head off to Powerplant Rockwell and have lunch. And wow, was I surprised at how crowded the mall was. Probably the most crowded I have ever seen it over the years.
With the crowds, many restaurants were jam packed, and some even having a line outside, or waiting list. I was hungry for a light snack after walking aroubd a bit, and decided to eat at wherever there was an available seat. Roti Shop had plenty.
I love rotis. It isn't something I eat regularly, but if it's on the menu, throw one in the tandoori for me! But I have only had plain rotis with curries to dip into. Roti Shop had more than plain ones, as some were stuffed with an array of things. I was torn. The options were a plenty and all seeming to be tempting. In the end, since I couldn't make a decision for myself, I asked for an expert recommendation from the server--Roti Cheese.
The Roti Cheese was just roti filled with a nice layer of cheese. Simple, but amazing. The cheese seemeed to be thin, as to have that perfect ratio with the roti. It didn't overpower it, nor was it super melted. It's saltiness paired great with the slight crisp, char that the roti had. I really savored every bite!
Food: 5.0 - Simple and excellent.
Price: 5.0 - Definitely not breaking banks. Probably one of the most affordable places to eat in Powerplant.
Service: 5.0 - Friendly, attentive staff.
Ambience: 3.0 - I didn't get the ambience design. Things seemed scattered. I like the neon lights though, the simplicity and cleanliness with whites.
Oooh, I will surely come back and try the others. Maybe 2 types at a time. 😊❤️😋
My husband and I shared a roti with curry, laksa and the roasted hainanese chicken. Food was good! I liked their twist on the hainanese chicken. Service was quite slow, though, because it took around 30 minutes to serve our food. We would eat here again but I hope they improve on that aspect.
First time to try Roti Shop. The server was very friendly and accommodating.
We tried the Vegetarian Char Kway Teow, Tofu Peanut Salad, Malaysian Vegetable Curry and Vegetarian Murtabak.
Our favorite was the the Tofu Peanut Salad. The dressing was a delicious blend of tangy and sweet flavors with a hint of spice.
The Murtabak was tasty but it was a bit soggy when it was served.
Will definitely go back and try their other dishes.

Amazing Malaysian chicken, very friendly service, food slow to come—but super worth the wait :) the banana caramel roti is lovely—and I hate bananas
I loved this place. We decided to try this because of the very welcoming aroma plus it looked absolutely great.
The roti in itself was very good! It has nice texture. It's perfect for pairing with their equally delicious curry. 😍 we got the chicken curry and it was so good and the meat itself was very tender. 😍
The milk tea was great and mild. It wasn't overly sweet which I love.
The chendol was soooo good! It's a wonderful shaved ice dessert and it had red beans (I'm a sucker for red beans). My boyfriend enjoyed this one the most.
I would definitely come back here whenever I want a great snack. ❤
I was really skeptical in trying out this resto because the reviews were bad. Nonetheless, I gave it a try.
It was great! I had the roasted hainanese chicken rice. It came with the typical trio of sauce (ginger, hoisin, and that other sauce I never touch). The chicken was cooked perfectly throughout, even the breast part was tender and juicy. While the flavor wasn’t across the meat, I was amazed by how it was cooked so well.
The hoisin was a little bit too sweet in my opinion, but I liked it. The ginger lacked some more oil.
My friend had beef rendang. I tried it also, it was average for me. Beef was tender, flavor was a bit bland though. Nonetheless, the chicken dish was really great!
Been here twice since the business concept was revamped. Was told the best sellers from the previous menu is mostly the same.
(This place reminds me of Madam Kwan of Malaysia, taste and price wise).
I have tried their roti since moving to Manila 4 years ago...and its as good as what you get in Malaysia - ie crunchy and fluffy. Curry is pretty good too.
Nasi lemak's sambal needs more improvement, chendol's ice shld be left fluffy not packed into 2 balls and drizzel good amt of coconut milk and brown sugar. CKT is okay,> considering the noodles in Philippines is as such.
I highly recommend all the roti varieties. Although its called prata in the menu, its basically roti canai :)
This is a new restaurant in Powerplant. They replaced Wild Ginger. They offer a newer concept as they enter into the more affordable Southeast Asian cuisine offering a mix of Singaporean, Malaysian and Indonesian dishes. Most of the waitstaff was retained. The owners just saw it fit for a slight reinvention to be more current since they have been around since 2001.
We visited for dessert after dining at Mamita's. We had Roti with Banana in Caramel and Roti with Banana in Chocolate. Both were at P120 each.
The banana-chocolate combination is very popular even in my recent visits to Thailand, Cambodia and France. Though, I prefer the mix of banana and nutella over plain chocolate sauce.
I really liked the Banana caramel which was crisp and had the right sweetness of caramel to lift the banana's flavor. In fact there is a slight hint of coconut as well. Very good roti.
I would like to try their seafood laksa, nasi lemak and Hainanese Chicken when we go back.
