Love to chill here! Love the ambiance.
12/18/2019 We had our group dinner last Wednesday at Tobys estate salcedo. It’s a 15 minutes walk from the office a little far to prep your appetite 😂. The place is really cozy, not a lot of people even if it’s dinner time, compared to super crowded resto 2 blocks from toby’s. There were only 2 tables occupied when I arrived.. pretty peaceful. So if you want a relaxed dinner date, this is a great place. When I walked in I was greeted immediately by the host, very polite. I was the 1st one to arrive so while waiting I order the iced flat white. A little bitter but I like it. It’s creamy and just divine! I read couple of reviews to know what to order- seafood paella was mostly best reviewed, however this branch does not offer that... so I ordered the 2nd best which is chorizo rigatoni pasta, my friends had vongole, chicken & hash (I think), wagyu burger (not sure) and of course we tried their creme brûlée and Calamansi pie. I had a bite of vongole, it’s a little bland for me compared to the chorizo pasta. For 1st timers I recommend the chorizo pasta. I like the creme Brûlée best compare to the calamansi pie.
Overall ‘twas a pleasant dinner! I highly recommend this place.
Definitely will be back for breakfast next time!
Loved their mushroom toast for breakfast
Great ambiance! Their chai latte is now a new favorite. Will definitely come back to try their drinks. The grilled cheese sandwich was ok.
Booky currently offers a legitimate buy one take one for cold brew and cappuccino. So I tried the cold brew dark version and asked for extra syrup. It definitely gave me the much needed caffeine fix for an otherwise sleepy Friday afternoon at work.
And yes, I paired it with a Bucky’s Original which is a moist chocolate brownie slice that gave a nice balance to the bitterness of the brew.
The place looks fresh and spacious, not cramped despite a full house. And the servers were friendly too.
The coffee was so lovingly made and the cookie was soft with chunks of walnuts. If I wasn’t a dietitian I would’ve tried their chocolate chip cookie as well.
Oh well! Something to look forward to next time. 🌻
Always love going here. Cookies are served warm, coffee tastes good and their calamansi pie is amazing! Might need to up the temperature though, place is a little warm the last visit
Toby’s Estate cafe latte is our favorite and it is THE BEST latte for me. I like that there’s a right balance of coffee and milk. It’s creamy enough but coffee’s dark roast taste is still there!
The Creme Brulee that I ordered was just amazing!
Also ordered he flat white to pair the dessert and it was one hell of a coffee
Will definitely come back!
Perfect ambience and service for winding down, working or having simple conversations. Awesome food and drinks. Limited food selection and a bit pricey for me, but I guess it was worth it.
First time to try Toby’s Estate and was surprised that they offer choices of Red and White Wines for P200 a glass. I had chilled Chardonnay while my friends got Cabernet Sauvignons.
We also had some cold drinks. I got their Iced Chocolate and it was good. Not best paired with their Bruce Bogtrotter (salted caramel chocolate cake) though since sweets on sweets are not that nice a combination for me.
Nice place to hang out and chat.
You should try their risotto fritters!!! It's my comfort food. For the coffee, it's not that special. I still prefer the typical Starbucks. :)
Cozy. Maybe because of the weather and the date and time of visit which happened to be a holiday where most are out of town which is perfect to those individuals like me who are choosing to stay in the metro. As for my drink, I ordered flat white which satisfied my coffee cravings. I also ordered creme brulee that is not too sweet, just right for my taste preference.
Lastly, thumbs up to their friendly and lively staff.
Real-deal confort food, high quality service and cozy ambience. I will always love this kind of mornings. Their coffee is downright good. It is realy worth-it to kick off your day with Toby's. 😊
The best coffee in town - hands down.
Their flat white has no competition. And ice latte for cold.
And of course their food is equally good - the everything bagel and Also the chicken sandwich.
And if you love your sweets - go for their apple pie.... yummy
Toby’s Estate has the best coffees in the city and I really love it! Always recommended to friends here and abroad.
But as I’ve experienced last Wednesday (10-03-18), my routine is to always meet up a friend there. I was the first one to arrive. Going inside the place at probably past 16:00 I was welcomed with a straight face of a girl staff. I awkwardly smiled while I enter the place. The girl just smirked at me back. Probably because most of the customers doesn’t smile there (I don’t know). I wasn’t really pleased already but I just wanted to shrugged it off.
My friend came after 10-15mins. So after another 10mins we ordererd to this ponytailed hair girl and also she wasn’t smiling. I even said thank you afterwards. Like literally she gets our order and just like ‘yeah ok’ not really sure what’s happening on that day or is it their daily basis of doing that service. But as I’ve remembered the last time I was there I didn’t felt that way.
They didn’t give me a stirrer, spoon for the sugar, tissue as well..... On the other hand the guy servers are a little better he even opened the door for me while we exited the place. But still smile guys!!!! There’s no harm on smiling.
I’m not really happy on what happened that time. I can actually just don’t mind it but cmon you are in a customer service line. Who wants that kind of service? No one.
Please give them proper training for their service. I have high hopes with Toby’s!
It's been a while and I must say, after searching for "cheaper" alternatives for nightcap places, Toby's is still the best.
Really good seats, excellent coffee, and a good roster of desserts.
What we ordered:
1) Long Black (5/5)
- Not like your usual brewed coffee that sometimes tastes like water. It's very strong. Slightly acidic but that's what makes it go well with the cake I ordered.
2) Bruce Bogtrotter cake (5/5)
- I have been looking for a not-just-your-average chocolate cake and I found it here. 💛 Might be too sweet if you don't order it with coffee or tea.
3) Cold Brew (Black) (3/5)
- This was ordered by my friend and he couldn't explain why his rating of this was 3. 😂
Place is stylish and comfy. Service has degraded in quality from what I remember from my last visit. But this place still deserves a 5 rating. It just feels like one of those cafés wherein the owner really put thought into conceptializing the café.
Will come back!
Good coffee and eats is always the best options In getting through a hump day Monday. Toby Estate always provides with those options. Their coffee is always strong and bold. The food is delicious and fulfilling. Service is always on point.
I love their chai tea latte. It’s not too sweet, but not bland. Their staff is also really friendly! I love how bright the place is. It’s a great venue for meetings or just grabbing coffee with friends.

This is where I’ve first tried my Chai Chocolate. It’s a combination of the oldest ingredients to a new taste. Very frothy with a little spice from a sprinkle of cinnamon. Both do compliment each other.
Mocha is so good. Perfect blend of bitter and sweet if that sounds right . Gibraltar had the perfect balance of espresso and milk, I love it! Buckies is way too sweet though. I allowed my daughter to have 3 small bites and the rest we're taken home that we still couldn't finish after a day.
I am not a coffee drinker so I won't be able to fill you with coffee reviews. The desserts and pastries however in this place is amazing. My favorite would be their pies. You have to try their apple crumble pie. It's not too sweet yet the crust, apple filling, crumble and cream on the side compliments each other to a perfect harmony. 👌
Would recommend the iced mocha and white cold brew ☕️ The upgrade from regular to large is really worth it as it’s only 10 php. The chai tea latte is also okay but the cinnamon powder ruined the drink for me.
We ordered their off menu best seller - Gibraltar. I like it a lot. A good choice to keep you awake the whole day. Their Cappucino is good too. If you're not into coffee, they have chocolate drinks as well. Their Chai Chocolate tasted really good. I also tried their Iced Mocha but I got stomachache afterwards. I wont have this next time.
For Juice, I preffered their Lemonade. Simply refreshing!
Their sandwiches are so expensive. I don't know why. haha! We had Shrimp Salad and their best seller Patty Melt. Nothing special with Shrimp Salad but the Patty Melt... Ahhh Patty Melt is heaven 😍
For meat, don't miss their braised beef. It was so tender and tasted really deliciou.
...and don't miss Carmen's best Salted Caramel Ice Cream and Bucky. Sobrang Saraaap ♥
The service was fast and efficient.
The place is big and the ambience is great.
Among all the coffee shops I’ve tried, I can say that the coffee here is the best yet. I know Toby’s Estate to be very passionate about what they do and it really does translate into their products. They make coffee even more lovable than it already is.
Its a cool place! They have pretty good coffee as well, better than the commercial coffee places. If it were not for the coffee shop closer to me (love ya'll Single Origin) I'd be hanging out at Toby's.
Flat white and Chai Chocolate will always be my favorites, but really sad they don't have decaf version. The Pistachio Cheesecake is a must try! It's not excessively sweet and its nutty.
The place always gets crowded around 4-6pm on weekends, its still cozy even its full. Their staffs are very accommodating and friendly.
Toby’s Estate Philippines just released their Seasonal Menu items which are available until June 2018. Had the chance to have lunch at their Salcedo branch the other day to try out their latest offerings:
Braised Beef Tacos (P320)
Braised beef ricotta and sour cream topped with salsa roja
Cubano (P430)
Carnitas and forest ham with Kosher dill pickle, Dijon mustard and cheese.
Seafood Chorizo Paella (P485)
A delicious mix of shrimps, clams and chorizo with roaster peppers and aioli
Berry Crunch Smoothie Bowl (P260)
Mixed berries and tropical fruits with an extra crunch.
Although one might find the Seasonal Menu items to be on the expensive side, you get what you pay for. My personal favorites are the Braised Beef Tacos and the Smoothie Bowl. The beef on the tacos were flavorful, while the Smoothie Bowl was refreshing. If you love the chorizo on their sandwich, you’re gonna love the Paella as they use the same one. The Cubano was delicious! I was only able to finish half as I got full already.
I attended a food tasting event at Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters Salcedo Makati Branch for the launch of their Seasonal Menu.
4 different dishes were presented and paired with our favorite drink/s at Toby’s Estate. And we had the following:
☕️Seafood Chorizo Paella for Php485.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
“A delicious mix of shrimps, clams and chorizo with roaster peppers and aioli”
☕️Braised Beef Tacos for Php320.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
“Braised beef ricotta and sour cream topped with salsa roja”
☕️Cubano for Php430.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
“Carnitas and forest ham with Kosher dill pickle, Dijon mustard and cheese.”
☕️Berry Crunch Smoothie Bowl for Php260.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
“Mixed berries and tropical fruits with an extra crunch.”
All the dishes we’ve tried were really good especially the paella and smoothie. For sure I will be back again and order the Berry Crunch Smoothies Bowl, it’s lite and refreshing.
Aside from the seasonal menu, I got an Iced Long Black served with milk and syrup. It’s a good pairing with Cubano and Braised Beef Tacos.
In addition, I would like to commend the staff and crew for providing an excellent service during the launch. They were polite, courteous and alert. Keep it up!
#ilovetoeatph 😃❤️
We just our early dinner and decided to go for a coffee to chill. I ordered the Iced Mocha and a scoop of Carmen’s Best Ice cream (not so generous serving though). I have always looked forward to having coffee here. Though the taste of the coffee is all that matters, I still think that a good coffee needs to be served in an equally nice looking glass. And this is Toby’s Estate for crying out loud. :)
Nonetheless, good coffee. :)
Anyone dear to me would know how in love I am with anything pistachios. 😀 As long as it is, or has pistachios, my name is written all over it! 😍 And this pistachio cheesecake is one decadent slice of green, pistachio heaven! Creamy, rich, and very flavorful! No pretense, just pure pistachio real talk. 😂 The same could be said with the drink I got which is an artful cup of hot Chocolate Chai. It’s my first time to actually drink latte with foam art on it, and I felt guilty with every sip. 😅 I’m not a coffee-drinker, so it’s quite natural for me to look for an alternative should I need that sugar buzz throughout the day, and oftentimes it’s either cocoa, or tea, that I turn to, and this was a bright choice, as it is a genius combination. ☺️ Rich, thick cocoa, hinted with the spice of Chai latte tea. Perfection in a cup! 👌🏻🍫☕️
One of my favorite cafes. They serve flat white perfectly! My favorite place to sit back and have a good cup of coffee. Peaceful ambience too.
After a sumptuous dinner in mendokoro, this is our go to coffee to end our night! I love their coffee ☕️! It’s definitely not just foam nor sugar! Unfortunately they don’t have a near cafe in fairview, hopefully they’d consider 😋 also their buckys are a must🤤 cozy ambiance and great service!
Hands down one of the best places to have coffee. the atmosphere of it is laid back, serene and borderline relaxing. it's a small place and can get filled up with a lot of people quickly but the place doesn't feel crowded and too noisy unlike other coffee shops (im looking at you SB) They have a single comfort room that's clean. The minute my friends and I tasted their original choco brownie it was love. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Just get an espresso and their original choco brownie and that will complete your day I promise you.
What we ordered:
Nutella & Banana sandwich
Mushroom Linguine
We loved the food but found it expensive considering the sizes of their servings. Noodles for the pasta were cooked al dente and the sandwich had the right amount of sweetness to it.

Fine dining that offers casual breakfast choices.
We had their hot chocolate and their breakfast offerings of Dutch Eggs and Corned Beef both served on skillets.
The ambiance of the place calls for a fine dining experience, but it's pretty casual casual during breakfast. The staff are very friendly and patient with us.
A little pricey but will definitely come back maybe for dinner this time 😊
If you want to deviate from your normal coffee routine, this is one place that I can recommend. They have good food selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I always get the Dutch Eggs for breakfast, partnered with flat white. You should also try getting one of their chunky blonde ala mode.

Great ambience. Very nice interior. Wait staff are attentive. Must try their Pistachio Cheesecake and Flat White 💕 The only downside would be parking; street parking and you must be and experienced in parallel parking 😁
Their Chai Chocolate works every single time! Their Flat White is also good if you need that caffeine fix. Tried the Chicken and Choi and it was okay. I still think this place is a bit pricey. Ambiance was nice.
My friends and I were looking for a place to finally close out the day (it was actually my birthday). All places were already closed. Thankfully, Toby's Estate was still open at that time of the night.
Food. 4/5
We randomly ordered one of their cheesecakes because we already had a full meal before going here. It is quite difficult to justify the food because we barely ate anything.
However, we indulged in one of their wines. Maybe next time we'll try one of their dishes.
Ambiance. 4/5
The place is quite spacious and obviously well maintained. The ceiling was bit too high though. Haha. It made the place seem too open. Again, I find the minimalist interior pleasant. I guess I am more into minimalist interiors. There was plenty of lighting too, great for Instagram.
Service. 4/5
The crew was well mannered and never forced us to leave even though we stayed until their closing time (12 midnight).
Price. 3.5/5
I find it a little too pricey though. However, Toby's Estate is a great place to unwind after a long day, int the company of friends.
Date visited: July 5, 2017
Tried their Chai Chocolate, and it was pretty good, definitely a richer version of the usual chai latte. Would come back and try their other things, but have had positive experiences with Toby's thus far.
I love the woolloomooloo coffee long black and seem to keep coming back for it!!!! Great vongole pasta as well. I keep craving for this!!! :)
I always hear a lot of positive feedbacks about Toby's estate. One day, my friend and I are looking for a big delicious breakfast before getting things done in the office. Hahaha. We decided to finally try Toby's estate since it's just a few minutes walk from our office. I was so fickle minded upon seeing their menu. Everything seems to be sooo yummy. Here's my detailed review of Toby's estate:
PLACE:
The place is really nice. It has a simple yet stylish interiors. Place was kinda packed during that time but not crowded maybe because place was really spacious. There's an enough space in between the tables.
FOOD:
Dutch Eggs: I like the rustic presentation of this dish. It has two sunny side up eggs (baked not fried ✔️), Canadian bacon, hollandaise, and a thick slice of toasted bread (not sure if it's ciabatta but it looks like it). Eggs were cooked perfectly. Whites are cooked to perfection, no burnt edges (well it's baked), and no slimy undercooked egg whites. Yolk is golden and runny. You'll love how the yolk explodes upon slicing the egg. 🤤 There's an enough serving of Canadian bacon that gives you something to chew on on this dish. Bacon is not too salty nor too sweet. It has the right balance between saltiness and sweetness. I super love the eggs and the bacon! However, I was quite disappointed with the hollandaise and the bread. Hollandaise is quite runny for me. I want my hollandaise a bit thick. Their hollandaise seems to be a bit oily (maybe because of too much liquid butter?). Nevertheless, hollandaise still tastes good. Its taste really does complements the whole dish. Bread is a bit tough and bland for me.
Grilled Four Cheese with Chips: This is like a plate of chips then someone just hid his sandwich on it. Hahaha. Let's talk about the chips first, it was just okay. Chips were not that crispy but texture was still fine. The Grilled Four Cheese taste good but it doesn't seemed like it's grilled. Cheese is tasty and gooey which is great but the bread is quite disappointing. It seems like an ordinary bread (texture is quite monay-ish. Hahaha). It doesn't seemed like it's grilled nor toasted. I think it would be better and dish would be more appetizing if the bread was buttery and/ or if you can see a slight grill marks or toast on it.
PRICE:
Everything in the menu is quite pricey.
SERVICE:
Friendly and accommodating staff.
VERDICT:
Did I enjoy it? - Yes
Will I recommend it? - Yes
WillI come back? - Maybe
I ordered the skillet hash brown and corned beef with 2 sunny side up eggs and it was fantastic! I also love their flat white latte. It was strong and creamy at the same time.

Great that they're open until MN on weekdays, not sure on the weekends.
Calamansi Pie is a hit & miss. Sometimes it's too sour, sometimes it's just right.
Pistachio Cheesecake has a lot of nuts, which I like.
Bagels are cheap, cream cheese is only 30 pesos.
A friend once invited me for coffee and recommended this place. It was indeed an amazing experience, though i did not ended up with coffee, i got myself chai chocolate and bruce bogtrotter, took a bite and fell inlove! 😘
My boyfriend and I were really excited to go here because the reviews we have read were promising. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The coffee tasted...okay. I mean, we expected more because we tried the salcedo coffee bean (it was seasonal) so we thought it would be perfect but man, it was the type of coffee you could buy in a vendo machine. They used paper cups for iced coffees and that was very wrong!! The cup was too flimsy to the point that I felt it was going to break.
Moving on...the location of this coffee shop was not hard to find and it was a good place to chill. The staffs were kind, too. 😊
Chai hot chocolate was super. Will definitely come back for more. :) price is a bit high but the hot drinks they offer are indeed worth the price.
They have ine of the best flat whites in Manila. My go-to place for coffee. Food selection is good, not that many, and pricey. Ambiance is convenient for working or studying.
My favorite coffee joint has a new offering and it reeks of apples 🍎🍏🍎
I've heard nothing but praises with their apple pie so my expectations are super high. And Toby's passed with flying colors! I am not really a fan of apple pie when i was a kid but as they say one tends to gravitate towards the stuff they disliked before as they age 😂.
Anyway, Toby's Apple Pie is a treat for all ages (i guarantee that). Juicy x cinnamon flavored apples enclosed inside a tasty pastry then baked to perfection. The slice is huge and served with some whipped cream and some sort of crumbs on the side. Can i just say that it smells absolutely phenomenal, it will entice your senses. The taste??? Nothing but awesome!!! It has the perfect balance of cinnamon and sweetness. I can tell that they used fresh apples as i taste the semi sweet flavor of the fruit on each bite. And make sure to add some of the whipped cream and crumble on every spoonful!
Good job, Toby's.
I like Toby and their service is good. I like the skillet Traviata and their garlic bread is great and also the french onion soup is very good! I come here all the time for breakfast
Very nice toby's estate branch with a full on resto for sandwiches, pasta and the like. My initial experiences with toby's estate are the smaller stall type shops serving mainly coffee and pastries. One can truly appreicate what tony's has to offer at their full restos. Ordered a veggie sandwich and my usual long black. Service is top notch.

The first Toby's Estate branch (correct me if I'm wrong) and probably the best one. Every time I visit this branch, it gives me this homey vibe. I usually stay here around 2-3 hours because it's just so chill and cozy that I'm lazy to actually leave. It's a perfect place to study even tho it's always busy. Pair it up their awesome coffee and their famous buckys!
Interior's very cozy and perfect for a catch-up with friends or even a business meeting. I also like that strong coffee aroma that welcomes you once you enter the place. Aside from their famous coffee drinks, I would really recommend their iced chocolate, it tastes heavenly. It's a 10/10 for me.
It's been awhile since I catched up with a dear friend and we finally had a chance to over coffee and desserts. She's a fan of third wave coffee, a term used to coffee spots serving higher quality of coffee, artisanal in nature or serving beans from unusual sources locally and international. Toby's Estate was one of the pioneers of this global trend. It is a franchise from Australia.
She got flat white using their newest blend which they call Salcedo, named after this pioneering branch. Its bean origins are from Brazil and Sumatra. It is a seemingly mellow version of their Wooolloomooloo blend. This one has a stronger sense of sweetness from like guava, chocolate, and hazelnut flavors.
I got my go to Mocha with bold chocolatey taste, served lukewarm for a heightened taste of sweetness.
My friend and I shared three plates of desserts and we ranked each one based on top preference differently. Toby's Estate has ample sweet options and that's another reason why you should come by and try. She prefers Pistachio Cheesecake (Php 250) while I go for their original Bucky's (Php 80), a fudgy and moist brownie bar. We also got one of their best selling, Salted Caramel Cake (Php 250).
Here at Toby's, sipping coffee or forking desserts gives you an elevated experience. It's not your usual break stop, it is a destination, a place you can dubbed your second home.
First time we were here was years back, for breakfast. Now back for coffee after dinner.
The place is as good as an after work hangout before heading home and as breakfast place before heading to office or after a morning walk.
The crowd is good and the servers look preppy on their uniforms. Service is good too.
Coffee, the Americano black, is very good served in ceramic cup. The Buckys n Cream is a sweet compliment to it.
If you want such a good place- ambiance, you must go here! ( black and white theme ) ❤️ Nachos were great, di mo pagsisihan. Worth it naman for the money. But yung coffee or chocolate ata yun was too small for my sister to drink 😢
I have always been a fan of Toby's Estate. I love its Flat White coffee as I need not add sugar to make it drinkable. I still remember the first time I tried it in Century City Mall after exploring Hole in the Wall, then a new foodie place. It was love at first sip. But I never get a chance to try its other offerings such as savory dishes and desserts till last month.
coffee - 5

flat white and cafe mocha are addictive more than your typical latte. best time to get it, any time of the day!
food I tried were something you wouldn't remember, the calamansi pie was ok.

This is my favorite coffee place! Of all the places I've tried, this is the only cafe that got my coffee just right! Ambiance is very relaxing and staff are very friendly and prompt in everything you need! 👌🏻
Give a 4.5 because of their coffee! They do know how to serve a good cup of coffee. Hungry? Their salad and pasta aren't bad at all. The place is clean and neat as well
☕️ Flat white 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 First tried in Oz so just needs some consistency here in Manila. Friendly staff. Dessert is delicious. Great place to catch up with friends.
The staff are very attentive to customers' needs and polite despite the place being packed with people. Somebody from the team would approach you once in a while to refill your glass with water or to ask you how your food is or if you have any other needs, without really being intrusive. Service is fast. The team is quick to clear a table once a diner has left, offering more seats for incoming diners. Their mushroom pasta did not disappoint; serving size is reasonable. I also ordered flat white coffee, the taste of which is what I expect from a third-wave coffee shop.
The only downside of the place would be its washroom. The faucet has automatic sensor and they provide generous amounts of soap and tissue rolls, however, the smell of the washroom isn't that good what with the many customers who go in and out of it. I believe they could maintain it better by checking the cleanliness of the washroom regularly.

Wanted a chai fix in-between work hence landed up here. Since their chai latte isn't too strong, the barista gladly obliged by turning it into a dirty chai latte by adding an espresso shot. It was really different and refreshing! Do try if you are bored of the same old latte :)
Great crew and coffee! What's not to like? Your coffee is in good hands with Toby's Estate. Say goodbye to the coffeemaker-like rush service. Authentic aroma? They got it. Toby's Estate is on top on all coffeeshops.🤓
I love this place. This is the best Toby's Estate branch I've ever tried. It's far from the loud and busy parts of Makati. It's a perfect place to get your coffee fix alone, or with friends. I have tried their Machiatto, Long Black coffee and Bucky's n cream (yummy!!). Love them all!
I was supposed to drop off my fellow sup in Makati before heading back to Carmona when I suddenly felt a lil sleepy. I asked him if we could stay at Toby's estate for a while and he gladly nodded.
We both ordered a hot cup of flat white and bucky's ala mode. The flat white didn't taste strong enough but I appreciate the creaminess and it kept me awake for a couple of hours. The bucky's ala mode was just okay. It's prolly because I was already satiated from all the food I've been eating since 7am. I guess I have to go back for a second try.
We stayed for two hours and talked about the good old days. He was also my supervisor before I got promoted so it was fun reminiscing the past. We left after they started switching off their lights.
Toby's never fails to please! Good coffee, good food and friendly service.
I had a long black while my partner had the iced flat white. Both were good.
I had a Roasted Vegetables Salad with light balsamic dressing. Eggplant, carrots, onions and small jacketed potatoes all roasted to perfection.
Also had Nachos. Loved the taste of the beef and cheese on the tortilla chips.
I'd rate a 5 / 5 if Toby's offered a non-dairy alternative. I often visit their chain in Australia, so I'm wondering why soy milk is not offered in the Philippines?
Please offer non dairy alternatives to make your chain more customer friendly and accommodating
One of our favorite coffee places! No diluted, overly sweet, coffee drinks here.
The iced mocha always gives us a refreshing caffeine boost. The flat white is also good. For a unique taste (at least for me), try the chai chocolate.
For breakfast, the Dutch eggs are always a good start. I found the scramble on toast a bit bland.
The chorizo pasta is also very good, just the right amount of spiciness. Although I wish it came with a slice of bread.
The patty melt, though quite expensive, is so good! The patty is tasty on its own. The grilled cheese is also good. It would be better if they provided more of the tomato compote as it complements the taste of the sandwich very well, but is not enough. Both come with a heap of potato chips.
For the mains, highly recommend the fried chicken and biscuit. It's huge! But it's best shared as it can be "nakakaumay."
For a lighter fix, try the steak pie and sausage roll as well. The steak pie is very meaty. The sausage roll has meat that looks more like embutido. But both are yummy.
For the desserts, I recommend the Bruce bogtrotter, pistachio cheesecake and carrot cake. They're quite rich so again, are best shared.
Didn't quite see the fuss over the Bucky's bars as I found them hard and dry.
The absolute best part about this coffee shop is that they are pet-friendly! No need to stay outside in the sweltering heat as your furbabies are welcome inside. Be responsible pet parents though and make sure they behave, and not poop/pee inside.
Wish there were more places like Toby's! Please open a branch in the South. :-)
I didn't know what to expect when we went here. My friend loves their coffee so we tried if their food also tasted good. We loved their food. They were very tasty and were all for sharing which is great. You get the value of your money. Ambience was nice. What i loved most about the place is their service. They really go above and beyond to give what their customers need and you don't have to ask for it.
[Late post.]
I love everything about this place. First and foremost, I think it's only fair to admit as a disclaimer that I have a mild but completely controllable addiction towards coffee. With that said, Toby's Estate is one of my top favorite coffee shops in my list. This branch has an exceptionally gorgeous interior that is well lit and spacious, mixing rustic design with classy simplistic elements. The tables are well spaced so it would be easy to have intimate conversations or to hold discussions here. The staff is always friendly as well.
I oftentimes order their Gibraltar, as I did again tonight, and my friends got their pastry (forgot the name), and their Mocha drink. The Gibraltar never fails to give me a caffeine boost that I need while simultaneously providing a delicious tasting coffee. Their desert/pastry is definitely delicious as it is rich. A bit sweet for my taste though so I always order it only when I have someone to share it with. I will always love Toby's and am always aching to go back.
Enjoyed their Mocha (hot), coffee and chocolate kick was delicious. Thickness of coffee was perfect, served in a cup with foam design.. I love it. Warmed Chocolate Chip Cookie was the perfect combination. Beautiful ambiance, will be back.
Toby's estate has always been one of my top 3 favorite coffee shops in the Philippines. I have tried Toby's in New York and still never fails to amaze me! Though the serving size here in the Philippines is smaller, nevertheless I keep coming back for the taste! I like partnering my coffee with their Bucky's ala mode! Great combo for being a sweet tooth person! Their staff is great as well and the area itself reminds of New York :) Thanks Toby's!
Toby's Estate.
Hello, Toby's Estate Coffee Roasters!
I finally got to visit the Salcedo branch of Toby's Estate which serves savory and sweet dishes! Yay! But since we were all full from our Tsumura Sushi Bar & Restaurant lunch, we just focused on drinks and desserts.
I was planning to order Toby's Estate's popular dessert Bucky's a la mode (PHP260) but J mentioned that it is not as good as the Sticky Toffee Pudding (PHP190). I trust J's taste so I went with the latter. For beverage, I went with my favorite Flat White (PHP150) and R ordered the Iced Chocolate (PHP150, 16 oz).
First served was the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Served on a dented tin bowl, the others commented on its poor presentation. "It looked like a dog's dish!" says one of my companions. And to be honest, it does look like one. Some restaurants do the same but manage to pull it off nicely. I'm just not sure if it was the dents that made it look so sad.
But as the saying goes, do not judge a book by its cover. The dessert tastes fantastic! Moist cake, warm toffee and lovely caramel taste. It was not overly sweet so even auntie loved it!
My flat white coffee, as usual, was divine and a great drink with the dessert we ordered.
R's iced chocolate was great too! It had a rich cocoa taste mixed with a bit of milk or cream. But what I loved most about it was the powdered chocolate topping.
I must visit this place again to try its savory dishes and the talked about iced mocha!
See you again, Toby's Estate.
New way of having coffee in this very relaxing place here in makati, i like the set up and their interior design it looks like classic style cafe. Also tried their famous bucky.
Favorite place in Salcedo Village :) tea selections are amazing (yey Daude) and the Calamansi pie was to die for! :) ambiance is very laid back and it's spot in Leviste St. is perfect.
Most of the savory meals I tried however had a tad too much oil for my liking. But flavors are still very good :)

Definitely one of the best coffee place in town. They really know how to make coffee. I also try their famous bucky but for me it was too heavy and too sweet after a few bites in.
Their flat white and bucky's n cream were great! The place looks relaxing, great for hangouts with friends or if you just want to be alone and drink good coffee.
Went here for brunch.
Food & coffee was great. The place itself is super spacious. And the staffs were friendly. Too bad they don't have wifi here.
The Calamansi Pie is the winning dessert for me on a Saturday evening at Toby's Estate. The Bucky's original + Carmen's salted caramel ice cream was good but the Calamansi Pie balances the flavour with its tartness. As for the latte I had… well it was just perfect.
