We went here for some beers of course and it was a very pleasent experience. They have so many choices, so you can get really drunk if you wanna try all of them. Service was attentive too and it was a nice atmosphere. A great new place in Poblacion.
Great beer, great service, great experience overall! Love the fact that they still offer tours to their brewery even at 11pm. 10/10 would recommend.
My favorite craft beer in the Philippines. The place is chill and since its a cozy place, one gets to talk to everyone in the bar. No pretensions in this place, everyone is friendly and just want to be there to hangout and drink a fews beers. As a person you prefer pubs than clubs, this is my go to place.
We had quick drinks here, Ginger Ale and some of their tap beers. The place is very chill since it was the night of the holiday. I like how they designed the place too!
This place is a perfect paradise to have a relaxing evening while sipping some real brewed stuff! Its located in a quiet locality, so for people who love to grab their beer at peace, this place can be a good option. Tried all their varieties of brewed beers and loved all of it. If you get too confused on what to drink, you can try their samplers to begin with and then go hard on to the ones you love! Its a small place though, might get noisy and conjusted sometimes, specially on friday! 🍻🍻🍻
Circa 2013, Joe’s Brew appeared in the physical realm from a distant sci-fi steam-punk world conceptualized by Joseph Viray and co-created by artist Franco Perez. This tight bar feels more like a tasting room for the microbrewery upstairs. With ingredients imported from Germany, this proudly local under-rated craft beer is low-key making waves in your favorite bars for the past 6 years. [Read More]
A Poblacion food crawl is never complete without dropping by a bar or pub. As one of the hottest spots for a night cap, you'd be surrounded by several establishments that offer superb food, beer, cocktails and everything you need to paint the town red. And we made sure to include the popular Joe's Brew in our Poblacion food crawl last month.
I got to meet the guy behind the craft beer revolution, Joe himself. This trip was part of 4 stops on our own version of Poblacion Food Crawl. Three of those were owned by their family.
Joe’s Brew only serves their beers which they formulate and brew in the same location. There’s no food here but they do have 8 distinct varieties of craft beer. Currently they also supply to a number of restaurants in the city,
We had the pleasure of trying out as much beer as we could and figuring out in the process which ones are our top choices. We got to explore the following kinds:
Fish Rider - Pale Ale- Php 160 350ml/ Php 260 550ml; Sierra Madre - Wheat Ale- Php 160 350ml/ Php 260 550ml; Meet Joe Black - Sweet Stout- Php 200 350ml/ Php 300 550ml; 34th Pursuit- Php 200 350ml/ Php 300 550ml; Soothsayer- Php 160 350ml/ Php 260 550ml and Sunsweeper- Php 200 350ml/ Php 300 550ml.
If you fancy stronger ones, bold in taste and higher in ABV, I suggest having their Sun Sweeper or Meet Joe Black. Personally I go for the Soothsayer for its sweet character and smoothness.
Check out Joe’s Brew, a unique spot not just in Poblacion. Where else do you have a brew and a bar all casually in the same place?
The place looks plain outside but when you go inside it’s cozy and has a steam punk like motif which looks interesting! They brew their own beer so expect it to be really good! Lastly, the staff are friendly and accommodating.
I feel blessed that i live in Poblacion Makati, where I witnessed bit by bit each establishment popped up like mushrooms around me.
I feel more blessed that this place is just one somersault away from my house. If you’re into craft beer and some senti moments this is the place for you, usually a pregame bar for many, but to me this a last stop before hitting the sack. And if you get hungry holy smokes is just on other side of the wall.
Small, chilled bar, decent stable of regular craft beers with some interesting specials, plus the ability to also order the great bbq from Holy Smokes. Been here quite a few times and consistently good.
Nice craft beer there, I think their brewery is more mature than quite a lot of other breweries in Manila. Worth to come here if u r interested in craft beer
This is a great addition to the Poblacion area. The beer is great and the staff is very helpful. Added bonus: you can order food from Holy Smokes which is right next door! Give the Poblacion Common a try, you won't regret it!
