The grilled bangus was really yummy. The portion was big too. Only the service could be improved a little bit, because we waited some time but it was still okay. I have seen that they are on Zomato Gold too and maybe we will try it, because the prices are already cheap. I can recommend this restaurant.

Went here with my girlfriend the place was nice because it seemed to be a mini art gallery slash resto but medyo maalikabok so I think they can work more on their cleanliness and their staff medyo uncooperative that we needed to call them twice or thrice because nag chichismis. The food tho was good. We tried na the chicken inasal before in Iloilo and Idk if they’re ever owned by same people pero tastewise itong sa makati square was 5/5 and we ordered also kansi pata which we were rly craving at that time bcos we really miss the one we have in Iloilo. Honestly we expected it to be bland or not as close to our version but in all fairness, broth was rich and pata was legit. Yun lang the issue here is their staff they should be trained siguro with their interaction skills with the customers and wag umarte na parang sila pa yung boss namin.

Surprised that an institution like Aida's is part of Zomato Gold. We ordered beef kansi, paa and pecho. We got 1 chicken for free with ZG.
This place probably has the best inasal in the Metro. Close enough to the one I had in Bacolod. Their kansi is good. You can see the batwan in the broth. But it tastes a bit different from the kansi I had in Bacolod and in Iloilo. The soup is a bit thicker but still good.
The food is a bit expensive given the location. It's a hole in a wall restaurant in the very old Makati Square. I also find the artworks on the wall a bit odd. It seems that they also utilize the area as an art gallery?

The chicken and kansi pata are the best! You dont need to order anything else. We tried the Kangkong and gising gising but it tasted weird (probably bec its not newly cooked) but overall, these 2 dishes are legit!
Come here for these 2!!!

The chicken inasal, fried hito and pumpkin curry are among the best I have tasted. The resto is packed during lunch so you may want to come at 1pm or so. The ambience is so artsy - - makes you feel like you are dining in a gallery with the numerous paintings. I also like the customer service. They are so kind and attentive.

Truly a gem inside Makati Square! My go-to place when I’m craving for inasal. A very generous serving for an affordable price! I really love dining here not only because of the food, but also because of the place itself. It’s full of artworks! The walls are lined up with paintings, even in the cashier area. I love it!

Doesn't look that nice from outside but, the chicken legs and kansi beef shanks is why i would go back here for. I guess i have picked up filipino flavor pallette for sour soup, however unlike elsewhere the soup had other flavours instead of just pure sour profile.

Another gold mine! 🤩 Glad to have come across the best tasting Chicken Inasal in the Metro! SUPER AFFORDABLE (coz of Z Gold, of course). Location is quite ‘hole in the wall’, and hard to naturally come by. We had the Chicken Inasal which was surprisingly juicy and tasty compared to its QSR version paired it with the usual calamansi and soy sauce with chili and you’re good to go! Oh! and they do have chicken oil too! It’s a solid 4.5 for us! 🌟

Really the best chicken in Manila! ❤️ the girls didn’t know what to do really with the zomato gold though, I had to show them. They also insisted that 2 people cannot use 2 gold memberships, they had to be 1 gold membership availed per pair when that’s not the rules. But we will be back anyway and hopefully when we will return, the gold rules will be clear to them!

If you are a true blue Negrense and an Ilonggo, you'd choose this over other inasal food place in Metro Manila. Food tastes like home. :)
Downside though would be the place, kinda dark inside the restaurant. But if you love art pieces, they have several inside. If you don't wanna go to MCS, you can call them for delivery.

The restaurant serves a variety of filipino dishes. We ordered one of their bestseller: chicken inasal. grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful, it went well with the spiced vinegar/kalamansi/soy sauce dip. They also have this chicken oil that you can drizzle on top of your chicken (and rice!). The inasal meal comes with soup and an ample serving of ensaladang talong. Tip: Use your zomato gold to get 1+1 on their dishes (inasal meal included)

It's our first time to try Aida's Chicken, found out about it through Pepper.ph and the chicken inasal was sooo good!!!😍 It's not the typical Manila chicken inasal or grilled chicken, the chicken itself was already flavourful, no need for the extra chicken oil! The soup was really a 'soup' and not the usual boiled water with cubes or something. Their serving was huge as well. Will definitely go back there and it's highly recommend!!! 👍 The art work display was also 😍

Makati Cinema Square is not a favorite spot to go to and dine in.... it's dingy and grim... a ghetto in Legaspi Village.

Good thing Aida's provide some comfort food in such a dismal mall.

Inasal Manok - at Php175 (with rice, soup and a side eggplant salad), it's almost the same price as that of Bacolod Chicken Inasal but more expensive than JT's and of course Mang Inasal.

What's to like about Aida's Inasal is that the pecho was freshly grilled and juicy. It's not as flavorful as JT's but it does hit the spot when you are in the mood for inasal. The rice quality could still be improved. The eggplant salad was also good. They do have free chicken oil.

The Chicken Sinigang was also good. Freshly made with the chicken still nice and succulent. It has a chicken leg quarter part with kangkong , tomatoes and radish all in a balanced sinigang broth.

The ambience is bordering ghetto with some Negrense (I think) artworks displayed.

We noticed that Makati Cinema Square has already changed their name to Makati Central Square. The mall is already old but the restaurant has it’s own vibe because of the design and some provocative paintings on the walls. We ordered their Inasal Paa and Beef Kansi. We were still able to take home more than half of their beef kansi and my son devoured it when we got home.

Great place to satisfy my inasal cravings, specially after tasting it from Bacolod (Manokan Country branch).

The serving is large and the place is generously decorated with interesting art pieces to appreciate while waiting for the food. Notably, I love the soup and side dish that come with the inasal meal. Also, don’t forget to pair your grilled order with the toyo-chili-calamansi-suka dip to maximize your experience at Aida’s.

I used my Zomato Gold and ordered the Kansi and the spicy bangus. This all amounted to P254 (including 2 pcs rice). The Kansi had 2-3 pcs of bulalo cut meat but the soup was delicious. The Spicy bangus was tangy and very appetizing. For a budget meal, this is worth your money if you use your zomato gold. But take note that the ambiance of this restaurant is just so-so.

Finally tried Aida’s Chicken Inasal. We always visit Makati Cinema Square, so I was quite happy that I was finally able to. We ordered their executive meal of pecho chicken inasal with rice and soup. The soup was tinola and it was a good pairing with the chicken. The chicken was a bit burnt on the outside but was still very juicy inside. The sauce was a mixtuere of calamansi- spicy vinegar-toyo. Overall, the meal was great and was a value for money.

Finally tried Makati's hole in the mall chicken shop - Aida's. Know for its flavorful, Inasal chicken. They surprisingly retained their quality even on a small set up at the Makati Street Meet in Paseo De Roxas. Squeeze a whole calamansi to give it that extra sour, citrusy goodness. One can taste the rich, grilled taste on the chicken. Recommended.

For an Ilonggo like me, this place is an oasis. Aida's is one of the better known stalls at Manokan Country in Bacolod :) I am ok to pay a bit higher than what most "inasal" places in Manila would charge. Before Aida's, my go-to for kansi and inasal was JT's. But now, Aida's apart from being near my place, has more food choices.

Kansi in Aida's is made with real batwan and fresh chilis are added to the soup which gives it a more flavorful experience. And the meat is tender. You can choose between beef or pata, I tried both and would recommend beef as it has a fuller broth flavor.

The Inasal is definitely way better than the green barbecue guy claiming to be inasal. Although honestly, I find the marinade sweetened a bit. I was looking for the gingery and sinamak (local spiced vinegar) aftertaste.

My date and I took a short stroll in Makati which we haven't done for years. We visited Makati Cinema Square to check out the art exhibitions (would you believe that).

After that, we had lunch at this unassuming carinderia-style restaurant inside Makati Cinema Square named Aida's Chicken.

We ordered the Spicy Bangus with Bagoong and Okra, which was said to be good for two. We both loved it! The bangus used in this dish was "daing na bangus" (milkfish marinated in vinegar, peppercorns and crushed garlic, and then fried until golden) smothered in coconut milk, sprinkled with siling labuyo and siling haba. Okra and tomatoes were incorporated in this dish.

Ang sarrrraaappp! 👍👍👍👍👍 Mapapalaban ka sa kain dito at mapaparami ka ng tubig. We ordered three cups of rice, anyway. 😂

Nothing really tops a dish with gata and sili. I love spicy things too. Is it because I'm part-Bicolano? Or is it because of my zodiac sign (I don't believe in horoscopes, siguro nagkataon lang, but it's enjoyable to read them) who is known daw for having preference to anything spicy? Even my Bicolana Nanay doesn't like spicy foods but she makes a mean laing. 😁

Even my date liked the dish. He said he loved the gata. I had a runny nose after taking most of the chilies 😂 But it was ok! The free soup was also good.

Place was a bit dingy. Good thing the bangus was boneless (and it should be!).

The eclectic oil paintings gave the place a lot of character. So that's why this restaurant's light was a bit muted. Many museums and art galleries are illuminated that way.

Aida's Chicken, we found out, received lots of customers compared to neighboring restaurants. Most of the customers were office workers who came in for lunch. Even well-dressed people ate there, something which I never expected. But there was little wonder about it. Their food was good (if only a bit pricey to my standards).

Many say that their star dish -- the inasal -- is way better than the "mainstream" inasal. Hope to try that someday.

'Tis quite a hidden gem in Makati's foodscape.

Aida's is one of the top 3 chicken stands at Bacolod's Manokan Country.
For a quick fix of authentic, Bacolod style inasal that's on the sweetside, save yourself a trip to Bacolod and head the Makati Cinema Square. The Bacolod stand only has chicken and talaba. It's suprising that the Makati branch has a ton of other Filipino dishes. The combo plate comes with rice, chicken and eggplant ensalada that's hard to forget.

Affordable, good food and nice service. If you're into arts, you might find their place interesting. We ordered Kansi (Pata) and Chicken Inasal and a side of grilled baticolon (gizzard). Aida's Chicken is another favorite stop of mine whenever I crave chicken inasal. Hidden within Makati Cinema Square, this place is a haven for good food, good music, and... interesting artwork. Paintings and sculptures adorn the walls while one corner of the dining area is reserved for a music player and towers of CDs. On a good day they play soothing jazz and bossa nova, which helps to drown out the noise from the other diners, as the place is usually packed with them.

The food itself is composed of Visayan favorites, but I come for the chicken inasal. There are two varieties: regular or meal. The meal version has the chicken, a choice of plain or garlic rice, and a salad of eggplant, tomato, red onion, and sliced salted egg.

I love to drizzle the whole thing generously with chicken oil. The oil complements the smoky flavor of the chicken and brings more flavor to its juices. The salad is earthy in flavor, thanks to the eggplant. I prefer to put a bit of it onto my rice to contrast the crunchy garlic flakes in it. And there are a lot of garlic flakes on it. This place gets plus points already!

On some days I also order the Ilonggo Squash in Curry. It is tender squash pieces in coconut milk, along with peeled shrimp, chicken, and sitaw. On some days the sitaw is chopped into tiny pieces, and in others it is tied into a knot. I usually end up staring at the know and wonder how and why the cooks bother doing that. But hey, it only makes me all the more interested to eat it.

While ginataang kalabasa is nothing new, this dish is a treat due to the curry flavor. It is not like the sauces used in local versions of curry. This stuff is tangy but not spicy. I recommend it as a good alternative to a classic dish.

We did not order dessert this time, but I have tried their Frozen Brazo before, which is said to be an original recipe from Silay. I recommend trying it as it is not too sweet, but it is creamy and delicious.

No need to wait for piso fare just to taste the Best Chicken Inasal from Bacolod! Have inasal cravings here in Aida's located inside Makati Cinema Square.

FOOD:
Inasal Pecho (Php 175) **no picture** - grilled to perfection and very tasty chicken. Be ready for extra garlic rice to complete your Inasal cravings.
Kansi Pata/Beef (Php 185 / Php 280) - Ilonggo version of Bacolod's bulalo. Light broth best partnered with your chicken inasal. Serving size is good for sharing.
Stuffed Calamari/Squid (Php 210) - I liked the freshness of their squid dish. They are crispy yet smooth inside. Very generous in their squid stuffing. Serving size is also good for sharing.

SERVICE & PLACE: Accommodating staff. The place have an artistic vibe with unique paintings and wall color combinations. Place is very casual. They have rest room inside but very small.

VERDICT: Will comeback to taste other quirky Pinoy dishes that I am not familiar with. I am surprised how they are nestled quietly inside MCS. The place is a must try for those Chicken Inasal lovers!

I love Chicken Inasal. A friend of mine whose wife is from Bacolod suggested this place as the best inasal in town, and I agree. Unlike Mang Inasal (the ubiquitous food chain), the chicken here isn't as sweet; you can really taste the flavours of the chicken and the grill, which is how it should be done. Order it with garlic rice and a side of kansi (sour soup) and you're all set. It's in a really sad-looking mall, and the atmosphere is quite dark, but the food is EXCELLENT. Worth the trip to Makati Cinema Square.

This is hands down the best chicken inasal in Manila. Most chicken inasals in town are dry but this one is the most moist and flavorful of them all. I also like their kansi, which had the sourness of the batwan seeds. They have a variety of other dishes from their menu to choose from as well

In the basement of Makati Cinema Square. Not the most attractive venue, but if you want real Bacolod inasal, Aida's is the place. The portions are a little small, and the last time we were there we were extra hungry, so we got two orders each. The chicken broth served ahead of the meal was hot and flavorful and didnt have an oil slick for its surface. Our inasal na manok was excellent - even the breast portion was tender and juicy. I wish the talong & tomato salad portion was bigger, but then again, I wish the chicken was bigger, too. I always mix kalamansi, soy sauce, suka and sili for dipping. Oh, and be sure to get the oil to drizzle over your rice - makes all the difference.

Aida's Chicken Inasal at Makati Cinema Square

Aida's is popular in Manukan Country in Bacolod City. They have a branch in Makati Cinema Square in Makati City.

The place has an eclectic art deco which appears to be done by local artists. There was only 1 waitress when we got there but since the place isn't packed, it doesn't seem to matter. She received our orders and after a 10 to 15-minute wait, our orders arrived and they were not the chicken inasal part we ordered. So after taking it away and waiting another 10 to 15 minutes, they served our correct orders.

The chicken inasal was heavy on the garlic and just a little shy of actually tasting like the Aida's in Bacolod. I would know since I'm from Bacolod. Nevertheless, the chicken was juicy and, though slightly too charred, grilled all the way through.

All the desserts on the menu were not available as of our visit.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

Not a bad place to be when craving for a little slice of home.

I would definitely come back when the craving strikes. Hopefully, the desserts would be available next time.

Don't be deceived by the carinderia exterior and muebles, because once you taste the food, you have only one word to say : #NAMIT! ( that means that the FOOD IS OH-SO-GOOD! and that's the only Ilonggo word that I retained after I fell in love with #Bacolod.) The #Inasal that we savored didn't last to be captured in a picture, heck, we didn't even bother asking for the chicken oil and the Bacolod vinegar that should have been great with it. So, I will instead share the picture of their Kasim (soup) and their ginataang sigarillas (sautéed). It was my first time to taste the Kasim which is like Pork Sinigang but better. Both of these menu items are a #MustTry! Again and again. What they lack in ambiance is well compensated in the quality of their Namit home-made cooking.

This place is definitely no turo-turo because each entrée is freshly cooked and served by their small staff of 4 who are friendly and attentive. You'll forget that you're eating at a basement of an old mall because of the relaxing music from a good sound system and the art that keeps the patrons company. I'm really looking forward to eat at this resto again.

Rightfully so, the best chicken inasal in Manila. They also hold the same reputation in Bacolod, so they say. Their other fare is also tops like the illongo express and their deep fried tilapia, among others. Very cheap. You won't be disappointed.

Best, IMO!  Juicy, never pre cooked inasal.  Liver on skewers are good too, generous servings.  Kani has good taste to it but I'd prefer better quality of meat. Reasonably priced so I guess, you get what you pay  for. Basic set up, no nonsense good nasal.  A family favourite!!

Our family has developed a love for chicken inasal developed by many meals at JT’s Manukan and more so during our trip to Bacolod. There we had both Aida’s Chicken and Nena Beth’s, both located in Manokan Country. We’ve been hearing about the a branch of Aida’s Chicken right here in Metro Manila more specifically in Makati Cinema Square (MCS). What prompted us to finally give the place a try was a discussion with Chef Ariel Manuel of Lolo Dad’s about a superb vegetable dish at Aida’s.

MCS is one of those outdated malls of yesteryears, I can’t even remember the last time I went there. We decided to finally go there during one of our shopping trips at Kitayama Meat Shop. Going inside MCS feels like getting in a time warp, it’s like everything was stuck in the past. Look at that facade of Aida’s Chicken, looks so retro.

The interiors are pretty basic too with monobloc chairs partnered with wooden tables. The only sense of decor are the paintings hung on the wall.

Lauren loves Chicken Tinola (P175) so we got one order. Her fine taste buds detected that the tinola at Aida’s Chicken did not use native chicken so it was not up to snuff. Irene and I just enjoyed it ourselves, light and clear with a strong ginger taste.

We each got an order of Chicken Inasal Pecho (P165) Executive Meal, which comes with rice and soup. A little bit of eggplant and salted egg salad was served on the side. The meal comes with plain rice only but I wanted their house garlic rice which entailed an add on price. The taste was spot on, juicy and flavorful to the bone, exactly like the ones from Bacolod. My only complaint was that it was a bit too charred as you can see.

We got the Illonggo Express (P170) as this came highly recommended. The dish definitely lived up to the hype, it was so good I’d gladly come back for this alone. Wing beans, twisted string beans with a some sliced meat cooked in coconut milk and bagoong.

We all enjoyed our meal that we are already planning a return trip, Lauren for the chicken and us for the vegetable. If you want a taste of real chicken inasal straight from Bacolod, then a trip to Aida’s Chicken is a must.

In Makati, Aida's is called Aida's Chicken House and is hidden in the basement of Makati Cinema Square. The ambiance is nothing like its original Manokan Country branch, which has a bahay kubo-style. This one is more like a canteen (with plastic chairs) but with art surrounding you.

The restaurant is also an alternative exhibit space for artists. Here, you still get the best of Bacolod's condiments -- Sinamak with Soy Sauce and Kalamansi. The set meals are served with hot chicken soup.

Chicken Inasal - Leg with rice and soup - You have to wait for a while when you order your inasal, which is a good sign because it means they don't precook their chicken. The inasal they serve here is as juicy as the ones found in Manokan Country.

Ilonggo Express - In the Makati Branch, they serve other hot dishes. We like this Ilonggo-style Bicol Express with knotted baguio beans and sigarillas.

Chicken Inasal - Breast with rice and soup - Besides the soup, the set meals are served with eggplant ensalada and salted eggs. You'll get yummy, authentic chicken inasal. :)

Really good, authentic chicken inasal for a good price and artsy ambiance! Remember, don't settle for anything less than the authentic because it's such a waste of calories if you eat mediocre inasal.
