Happy dance coz they now deliver their lunch set during this community quarantine!
Food - Tried their Makunouchi lunch set this time which includes grilled salmon, ebi and fish tempura and sashimi (tuna, mackerel, crab sticks). The set also includes stir fried veggies (we always enjoy this) and miso soup. Iced coffee and spicy tuna were sadly not included on the set. Still a super sulit set! Really enjoyed the Mackerel!
We also ordered the usual fav spicy tuna and discovered that we looove uni and unagi! Can't wait to have these again! Butabara and gyu kushi were also both good.
Delivery - Ordered directly. Was really satisfied with their delivery system - it was quick and easy! I just had to pay extra 140php though for the containers of each dish, 20php/container.
Sobrang sarap at sulit ng Spicy Salmon Sashimi! Ang dami ng serving, kahit pati yung crunchy na tempura hindi tinipid! Masarap din ang Soft Shell Crab na wala sa menu. Malaki rin ang serving kaya good for sharing.
I don't think I know anyone who doesn't love kikufuji. They have affordable and delicious lunch sets. Aside from that, they have the best spicy tuna sashimi.
GO-TO PLACE WHENEVER I CRAVE FOR JAPANESE FOOD!! I love their spicy salmon sashimi. Super yummy and sulit for it’s price. I also enjoy their wagyu cubes. You should try it with some chili powder and ask for teriyaki sauce. It gives the wagyu cubes a little something extra. During our last visit, we also ordered some beef gyudon. It took quite a while before it got served but it’s still worth the wait!! Dont forget to ask for free beer coupons after paying for your bill ❤️👍🏻🍺🍺
The best Japanese restaurant in town!
You must try Shake, Spicy Salmon Sashimi, Spicy Tuna Sashimi, Ebi Tempura, Katsudon, and if you are in a group of 4 or more try the special california maki. Miso soup is great and staff are friendly specially Ms. Riza. If you will be dining for lunch, be there by 11:00am.
A usual lunch spot for many regulars, and I can see why. It's very cosy and the food is served fast. The atmosphere is very authentic and the taste is fresh. We came with a party of 6 for lunch and got a long table (no wait). We ordered a bunch of different dishes and rolls, the favorites were the cold soba, spicy tuna, and the regular tempura. The only downside would be that the tea and water service is very slow and very small. all in all, highly recommend it!
Accomodating staff. Great food options. Salmon sashimi. 🙈❤️👍👏
Pricey but definitely worth it. Best Japanese Restaurant i’ve tasted in PH.
I was overwhelmed when I got my tonkatsu lunch set! Look at the pic! The serving size was so generous. The pork tonkatsu was okay but the tenderness of the pork was a plus! I also like the wasabi paste that comes with it; it was not pure wasabi, and whatever they mixed it with, it gave the wasabi paste a new distinct flavor (milder if I may say). The side dishes taste good, but the spicy tuna stood out for me (I have a little bias on tuna though hehe). It has iced coffee too! Overall experience, it was great and surprising coz it was my first time. I had a lot for a very reasonable price. Although I had to wait coz there's a lot of people during lunch but it's worth the queue 😉 Though I have to say the service was meh.
The place is legendary. But I think it more for the value that you get for the price you pay.
There serving is big.
If you plan to go there on a Sunday which we did, be there at the opening at 11 am. Lime stats to pick up fast at 11:30 onwards.
Food is really nothing exceptional.
This is my go to place for gindara. Its price increased through the years but for me it's still worth it. Going for lunch is a better deal because you get free sides, including their spicy tuna.
But I am just giving 4 stars because I waited for more than hour before the gindara was served. I was warned that it will take some time but 1 hour seems to long for a grilled fish. It did not take that long when I was dining here years ago.
Also, go early (before 11 am) or late (past 1pm). The restaurant is always packed.
One of the best sashimi places in the metro. Their wagyu beef cubes were affordable and a must try. Definitely passing on the spicy maguro instead, try their special california maki. Too many repetitive stuff on their menu but nevertheless, still a legit japanese place to go to. To add, the service was awful. It took at least 30 mins just to get the bill. Their crew seems to be inattentive and carefree. Prepare for long queues or book a reservation weeks before.
Value for money and it's so worth it. They have big servings and their tofu and sushis are so good. Will definitely go back again
Always always solid and authentic jap food! They never fail and the servers and owner are very accommodating. Definitely a regular!
Go to place when you are craving for japanese food. Their 'Spicy Shake' is a must try and must order every time you visit. Although their seaweed seems a little old and chewy, overall their sushi is 👌👌👌. I suggest to eat the tempura ahead since the crunchiness will subside once it gets cold. Better try it now rather than reading reviews 😂 Orders: - Spicy Shake Sashimi - Nigiri Nami (assorted local sushi) - Ika Tempura (squid)
Best lunch ever! Best value for money. Always order the shake (grilled salmon) set. And add an order of kyushu for the ultimate lunch experience. 😁👍🏻
Be prepared for the long waiting list so better to come early.
It is a good place to eat. With good price for the quality of the food. Sadly, its small for the volume of people that eat there. And the people rush in to wait for available tables, that it becames slightly unnerving when they stare at you while you eat.
The Special California Maki and Gindara are my must-order items at Kikufuji! For those who aren’t afraid of fat, go for the Wagyu cubes.
Try to come at off-peak hours to avoid lines and difficulty parking.
My first time to to finally try Kikufuji. They have been famous for the good Japanese food and the extra long lines - which made me not want to visit them before. I suggest you go there earlier to line up like 10:30am for their 11am opening time. When I arrived, i was already at #17 in their queue and thank god they have a lot of tables inside.
Must try their Gindara, Spicy Tuna, Katsudon, Wagyu sticks, and Special California Roll!
Servers were kinda not too friendly but the good food compensated for it!!!
I'm more than willing to wait in line for their food! With Kikufuji's fresh sashimi and massive sushi rolls, I can nearly taste Japan :) Can eat this every day!
Although yung waitress nila medj maldits buti na lang masarap yung food!

Excellent food + Affordable price point = BEST JAP RESTO.
If able, reserve your seats in advance especially if eating during lunch or dinner.
Personal faves: Spicy tuna roll, Spicy salmon sashimi, Spicy tuna sashimi, Gyoza, Special California Maki.
Each roll has 8 large pieces. The spicy varieties can be a bit more than a normal person can handle.
If eating alone, you can easily get a seat. For groups of 5 or more, better reserve in advance (2-3 days. Not kidding). Either you go here right when it opens or late at night.
One of my friend is a frequent customer of kikufuji thus it came as no surprise when he just drives us all to dine here. Surprisingly, even at weekday lunch time place was jampacked and we had a hard time parking. Upon checking their menu, their lunch specials were a steal. It wasn't as expensive as I was expecting. In fact, my katsu set was less than 300pesos with one refillable rice and side dishes. Aside from the katsu, we had salmon sashimi, tuna crunch and another maki that I forgot the name. Everything we had was so good and so fresh. Now I know why my friend loves it here.
Good food, good people. Some foods need to be ordered in advanced tho, as they take some time to cook. Otherwise, excellent service. A place you can come back to!
Been eating for years. Best food, worst staff.
Always a pleasure going here. The food is always amazing, the staff, not so much. However, it is understandable considering the amount of diners that go here everyday.
Our go-to place for authentic sushi! Super worth the commute. Our favourites are the Special California Maki, Gyudon and Spicy Tuna Sashimi.
One of the best Japanese restaurants that I’ve tried. I suggest you try their lunch sets! It’s very affordable and I wasn’t expecting na ganon kadami ang serving nila. We orders Ebi tempura, beef teppanyaki and calif maki. Every lunch set includes soup, sautéd veggies and their best spicy salmon 💕
The food is really good, we arrived at there before 1PM and we got our table already. Downside of thw restaurant are the servers, parang di nila gusto trabaho nila or what ☹️😅
Love their Maki and Sashimi! One of the best Japanese restaurants in Manila. Highly recommended especially to those who love Japanese food! 😊

If you're willing to wait for a good 30 mins just to be seated, then you're in the right place. This restaurant is always packed and they have good reasons!
The food is always worth the wait. Especially the lunch sets!
We went to this restaurant before their opening as we didn't have reservation. To our surprise, there was already a long queue outside the restaurant. There's a lot in their menu and somewhat pricy. We ordered Spicy Maguro, Special California Maki, Wagyu stick and Uni. These are all delicious. Will try other items in their menu in our next visit.
We queued for around 20minutes because I guess it was Saturday dinner. Ladies at the front desk were not that accomodating (maybe because they were too busy but still, I think proper customer assistance would be nice especially if you're always a jam-packed restaurant.) We had to find our own seats when our number was called, because no one was there to point out which table should we sit in. The server taking orders was too conceited, it's like she doesn't like what she's doing and was forced to take orders. Although, we already had a heads up that lady servers here were not that nice but we just really wanted to try their food.
My review on their food:
Super love their Spicy Tuna! It was mild spicy.
California Maki with Spicy Tuna, Sliced Mangoes and Roe tastes so delish! Although the spicy tuna was too spicy. Their Beef Teppan was sweet and salty at the same time cooked together with vegetables. Their Dons were delicious, we ordered Ten Don and Curry Don. Yakisobra is your typical pancit canton with vegetables and the Tonkatsu was a little pricey for it's taste (there's cheese inside tho! But nothing special.) Menu has many dishes to choose from, food is a little bit pricey but it is worth the try. :)
This place is definitely one of those where you can get the bang out of your buck. Their prices are in the mid-range for Japanese food, and their quality and serving size are definitely five stars! The layout of the restaurant, however, sometimes hinder the service of their people, as the guests may not easily see the or be seen by the servers.
Got here at 5pm. The restaurant is not open yet until 5:30pm. So we have to wait. Because Im intrigued. The food is nice. Service was good. It's just that the environment is not so good. Might come back in the future with friends.
The waiting line is long but it was a peak time so I get it.So we ordered beef teppanyaki, aburi wagyu, ebi tempura, and sashimi. They’re all equally delish. Especially the aburi wagyu. Its melt-in-the-mouth goodness is hard to forget.Looking forward for my next visit!
I ate here again and we got the wagyu again which is A+, potato salad 5/5, ebi tempura 4/5, chicken karaage 3.5/5, and asparabacon 5/5. If craving for authentic jap food, there really isn’t like Kiku. Also the price is very cheap for such quality food!
My friend and I decided to eat here during Sat lunch. They open at 11AM, at that time we arrived around 11:30am. It was already full and we’re 9th at the waiting list. Since we’re open to sharing tables, we waited only for 10 minutes. It was my first time here and I really like the ambience. We ordered Gindara lunch menu set (seaweed soup, gohan rice, sashimi and coffee), Spicy Tuna Sashimi, Wagyu, Spicy Shake Maki and Kimuchi Nabe. We were told that Gindara takes 30-45 min to be served but it actually only took 15 minutes. It was really good and tender. I also enjoyed the spicy tuna sashimi. The iced coffee is like Vietnamese coffee because of its bitterness and sweetness level. Kimuchi Nabe is like kimchi soup. It’s not that spicy but it’s also good and has some pork slices. I think the place is really good and I plan to visit again to try other dishes!
Always a treat going to this particular Izakaya, nothing great but the food is up to par with what you would normally expect from an Izakaya in Japan also.
Best Japanese food you can ask for! Go during lunch time and order from their lunch menu. It comes with salad, tuna tartare and drink or dessert. Sulit!
I've been eating here eversince I was in highschool and this place never gets old. They are the best when it comes to their spicy shake and sushi plates. A slight issue with servers not attending to your needs but over all when it comes to japanese food, its the best.
Kikufuji is my go-to Japanese restaurant! I always order the special california maki (comes with spicy tuna and extra mangoes on top), spicy salmon sashimi, and wagyu cubes (gyu kushi).
Their lunch sets are also great - comes with spicy tuna sashimi, miso soup, other sides, and coffee/dessert. The chirashi bowl is one of my favorites.
On the other hand, do not expect stellar service. But food is worth your while.
One of the OG Japanese restaurants that's still relevant today. We have ordered the ff:
*Salmon sashimi (pictured) - has good thick slices and that fresh fatty feel I always look for in good sashimi
*Special California Maki (pictured) - large rolls of California Maki topped with lots of sashimi tossed in mayo, thick ebiko and fish eggs/roe, and finished off with thick slices of mango. This by far was the winning dish out of all the rolls we've tried.
*Go Ten Mori - five kinds of sashimi
*Spicy tuna sashimi
*Bacon wrapped asparagus and enoki mushrooms
*Wagyu cubes
All of the food we've tried so far are all so good. Definitely recommended. I shall be back for more 🥰
Always my favorite.
Kikufuji has always been one of my favorite Japanese restaurants since 2017.
Tonight, I had my favorites- spicy tuna, california maki, and gyudon. I am not a fan of raw (fish) meat but I take an exception with Kikufuji's spicy tuna. There is no fishy taste in it and the spicy flavor combined with the flakes make it top of my list of what-to-order.
I've always loved gyudon. I order for it at any Japanese resto. There is nothing that really sets Kikufuji's gyudon's from other gyudons. For purposes of review, however, let me tell you that Kikifuji's gyudon sweetness is just right.
The california maki is also good. The mango makes it even more delicious.
It's my first time to have currydon (not in the photos) and takoyaki. There were only a few chicken bits (maybe less than 10 little slices) in the currydon. Good thing, the curry sauce tasted great esp when mixed with the hot Japanese rice. Took home the leftover sauce for tomorrow's breakfast.
I also had takoyaki which we ordered from their sister restaurant. Nothing special in it but worth the try.
All in all, the food is great coupled with excellent service!
This is our go-to restaurant whenever we are craving for Japanese food. We never miss to order their Spicy Tuna Sashimi and Gyu kushi! Lunch meals are much more affordable
Our go-to restaurant after a stressful and tiring day at school. Their spicy tuna would always be our favorite! We often eat here during lunch. Avoid coming here at around 12-12:30 pm tho, it gets really crowded and you’re gonna have to wait too long to be seated. But it would be worth it 😉
always a favorite!!! Go lunch time so you get the lunch set with tuna salad, soup and desert 😊 we were seated as soon as we arrived, i always call the day before.
i keep coming back for their wagyu cubes and spicy salmon sashimi ! Place is always cramped and noisy but they must be serving real good authentic japanese food as there are plenty of japanese nationals dining there. Now i’m craving for that wagyu beef cubes again. :0
Ordered spicy salmon maki and enoki mushrooms wrapped in bacon. Enoki was a little bit burnt so i couldnt feel the real flavour. Spicy salmon maki was a bit different from what i am used to, but nice. I would change the size of the roll, as it is difficult to chew.

We ordered:
Spicy Tuna Salad ⭐️
Salmon Sushi ⭐️⭐️
Edamame
Enoki Bacon
Ebi Tempura
Beed Curry Don - Very few meat pieces
Chicken Teriyaki - A bit bland for me
Oyako Don ⭐️
Reaaaalllyyy good authentic Japanese food but finding a parking is really hard. Also there's usually a long line before you get to eat and there's no reservation as well. But the food is all worth it!
DON'T LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING WAGYU CUBES!
Excellent food!! Very satisfied with all the food we ordered. Generous serving and quality is superb.
However, some of the food will arrive late so you can’t fully enjoy the experience like eat-wait for food-eat-wait-eat eat-follow up-eat.
You have to bring a lot of patience and don’t go if you are hungry or in a hurry. There is a long line, a lot of people, and staff would be so busy that sometimes they will forget some of your requests.
Place is simple. Eat and Go type of restaurant. Parking space is a challenge.
Gindara Php495
Wagyu sticks (4cubes) 125
Spicy tuna salad 380
Rice 65
Spicy Shake Maki (Salmon) 240
All are worth it hihi 💛
Good food - one of the best!
Good price
Not-so-great service (they won’t forget your order but they’re certainly not warm and cheerful)
Facilities - old but the quality of food vs. price makes it acceptable
Parking - ALWAYS a challenge
Overall, if you just want good Japanese food and fair price, and don’t care about facilities, Kikufuji is a must!
