One of the best filipino fast food we always go to. The food is superb. The serving is juz right . The staff attentive and friendly . Its home cooked meal away from home. The desserts are really good too.

We tried the Halo-Halo.

The pinipig is crunchy and yummy even when wet. Ube ice cream is very creamy and not artificial tasting. Beans are soft and not super earthy. All the other things are a nice chewy jelly texture. The banana is a bit hard for me. Small for the price of P225. But overall was yummy.

I’ve always loved the canteen/turo-turo type establishments. Milky Way has been a personal fave but we seldom get to eat here because they used to be just cash basis and hubby and I are super lazy to carry cash and always us credit cards. Happy that they now accept credit card transactions.

It’s the 23rd of Dec and there are lots of people here at Rockwell. Hubby and I were super hungry already and we agreed to just eat where there are no long waitlist lines. Saw that Milky Way has some vacant seats so we were happy to dine already. People started coming in and we’re immediately full in a few minutes.

Love the food, giving you the home cooked feels. Though pricey (a small bowl serving is around P300-P450), taste is great and servers were nice and accommodating.

THIS PLACE SCREAMS PINOY DISHES.
Although pricey, the real winner here was their Kare Kare. It almost tasted as good as my Lola's kare kare. A good stop for your favourite Pinoy dishes!

Located in ground flr of powerplant mall
Beside tokyo milkcheese factory and lavatory/restroom area
For me their dinuguan is a top notch since it’s a dinuguang tagalog hehe plus the chicken galantina. Altho the Pork spareribs is “slightly” not tender..
Service is good as well :)
Thumbs up!

Milky Way Halo-Halo is fairly good with a delicious scoop of ube (purple yam) on top. It's not the best I've tried and I find it overpriced on many levels. Just share it to make it feel less painful.

We (the family) usually just go here for their halo-halo because it is really good and you can't do any wrong with a classic one. Sometimes, we do order their Palabok, it is also pretty good.

During my surgery, my son bought these meals for the whole family (4 of us). Very filling! Home-cooked taste (at par with my Mom's). Quite pricey, though.

The pesang ulo ng isda came with a miso side dish, this brought me to my childhood meal with our family, one of my Dad's fave meals being cooked by my Mom. Sadly, no one from the family inherited her cooking skills.

The other dish (forgive me for not remembering the name, didn't find it also in their menu here), was so tender, laglag sa bones talaga.

Happy tummy!

Must try: dinuguan, adobong pusit, lechon paksiw and sinigang na baboy! Service is also great! They have enough people to attend to all their customers. Fast service!👌👌👌

Note: late review

After tasting Milkway's halo-halo a couple of months back. I decided to bring Grams here. She has a sweet tooth and likes Filipino desserts.

Suffice to say that she forgot about Razon's after the first taste. She raved about the Ube Ice Cream. This will not be the last time we're gonna dine at Milkyway. This is the first of many visits. I'll try their savory dishes next time

Guaranteed one of the best places to go to if you're craving for authentic Filipino food. Their dishes are flavorful, well-seasoned, properly portioned, and reasonably priced. I love to buy their bagoong, taba ng talangka, and adobong mani as pasalubong. The avocado ice cream here is heavenly but a bit pricey.

Love this place for its fuss free service yet quality dishes offered. You can take the dishes to go to be enjoyed at home or you can have it to dine in which is what I mostly do. Love the pork ribs for the amount of serving you get as well as the sweet and savory flavor of it all. I usually like to consume this with soup, so their sinigang is usually something that i also order. Being here usually means that I will have 2 servings of rice.

Milky Way serves the best traditional Filipino food in my list. They stick to the tried and tested formula and for them it works very well. I love their Pochero, Lechong Kawali and Adobong Pusit. They also serve various fish dishes which are also pretty good. My only complaint is that they are a bit pricey, so I can't eat there too often.

Our Japanese friend wanted to try some authentic Filipino cuisine and Milk Way Restaurant was the first one that came to my mind. We ordered their Crispy Hito and US Pork Adobo. The Crispy Hito was so huge that it barely fit the plate. It was crispy, flavorful, and well-seasoned. The US Pork Adobo was superb! It's probably one of the best adobos I have tried.

My friends and I love the ribs and the ox tongue. The quality of the food is nice but it is on the pricey side. I don’t actually get the concept of the place since it also sells bottled food. But if ever you go there prepare to shell out around 500 bucks.

Milkyway is a pleasant surprise. I never really gave it any attention passing by it in rockwell, cause it looks like an ice cream stall. Really, with its design and furnishings - you would really mistake it for one easily, if not for the many people eating platters of food on the tables right infront of it. My boss took us here one time for a lunch treat, and was it amazing.

The best thing about this restaurant is it feels like a very good homecooked meal. Like an upscale carinderia, excuse my ghetto metaphor, this restaurant has quite a variation of dishes - filipino, american, spanish, italian... it's confusing but one thing is common, they're GOOOOOOD.

The Beef Caldereta is tender and tastes like it was cooked with love and hardwork. I'm biased to the caldereta because it's a personal favorite, but the Chicken pastel, Ox Tongue Asado, Pastel de Lengua were all great. It feels like mom's homecooked meal, and the best is they are sold per plate and per platter.

This is perfect because in Rockwell, which is a fairly progressive business area, mom's cooking is always a welcome break in the day. Also, for busy working moms, ordering from Mily Way allows you to take home something easy to cook for the family.

Tip: Milkyway also has great frozen foods, such as bbq spare ribs and beef morcon, which is a good and easy packed lunch for the kids.

This one I would really recommend for the Hungry Jack who is looking for a restaurant to enjoy a good hearty meal. Order their Pastel de Lengua, Pork Binagoongan and Embotido. Have two cups of Rice to back it up. Enjoy. I haven't tried their Ice cream though they say its also good. I guess there is just not enough space left in the tummy. Then for take home, buy the bottled pickled mangoes. Its perfect when your home and while enjoying a good tele- novela with wifey. Eat, eat, eat!
