I have yet to have a bad experience at this unassuming shop and restaurant just feet from greenbelt. The cheese and charcuterie selections offered are always nice and the wine selection is excellent in quality and represents a really nice range of prices. Mallory and all of the other owners and staff are always kind and warm upon entering the shop. I'm looking forward to their new chef and dining here more often of my frequent shopping!

We like our Fridays or any days we can get our day off, to be quiet and chill and just reflect on the activities we’ve had. And we’re fortunate enough to have stumbled on Wine Club – just the perfect club to end a hectic week. Started as a retail store and eventually have grown into one of the most sought-after restaurants, the Wine Club gives you the vibe as if you’re living the F.R.I.E.N.D.S or How I Met Your Mother usual hangout place because it has this hip and cozy aura designed to of course, bring a group of friends together through wine.

Friday is just in a few hours. Are you planning to spend some quality time with your loved ones or just a simple get together with your friends? Why not spend it here at The Wine Club? 🙂. I have been planning this wine night with my good friends. It has been years in the making. Hahaha. Blame it on our schedules but it has something to do too with the perfect venue to get wasted in a classy way. We can’t just simply go to a bar, and down ourselves with their select wines. Good thing this invitation to try this resto out came along. It’s the perfect choice to achieve that “goal”. Most of their wines are from California but there are select wines from France and Australia. With over 300 wines, you are assured of great tasting wines as the owner personally tastes it before serving it. Talk about having a personal touch, and good quality control! As a starter, we first got a taste of this sparkling white wine (which I had fun taking photos of).

The Wine Club is a hip, neighbourhood winebar situated in one of the quieter streets in Makati. It's a good place to spend a night tasting over 300 wines from California, France, and Australia, and enjoy pairing them with the delectable bistro food available. Wagyu salpicao strips P595. The wagyu beef salpicao was different from what I expected a "salpicao" to be, and in a good way. The dish tasted like a yakiniku, especially with the beef strips and the sweet and salty marinade. Best paired with: Dado Cabernet Sauvigmon

What to Eat PH (May de Guzman) organized a bloggers dinner at The Wine Club. Thanks May for the invite 🍾🍾🍾

They are an importer/distributor of california wines and has been here for 10 years now. They just opened their dining space 2 years ago. They offer affordable/ good value wines- that is approachable, food forward and easy to understand. And of course best paired with meat (steaks, porkchops, barbeque, etc)

Overall experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

1 Grilled sausage platter P750 best paired with cline - 3 different sausage flavors

2 Wagyu salpicao strips P595 best paired with dado cabernet sauvignon- i love this so much! i can't stop eating this

3 Pepperoni flat bread P550 best paired with bogle- it was okay

4 Milanesa napolitana P850 best paired with esser- it was okay as wel

5 Grilled wagyu flat iron steak P850 best paired with bogle- i love this! Perfect doness/ cooked meat

and for dessert we were given vanilla with chocolate wine and it was just perfect!

So... if you are looking for a quiet place- a perfect date place ( something private and intimate) or a reunion with your good friends... this is the place to go!

It was a good learning experience and I enjoyed the food and the wine so much ❤️

Good place to hang-out after work or during the weekends.  I guess I'm getting older since I prefer places like these where you can sit down, have a nice conversation with friends over food an wine. Their have a wide variety and their wines and these are not the ones found in your local grocery stores (according to the staff, they supply wines to hotels and restaurants).

Location wise, its in Legaspi village along Aguierre and there's street parking available in front.

Ambience wise, I like that you're surrounded by their wines. The place is a little dated (or dated) but still has a nice cozy feel. The place has limited seating as well. Since they have their wines stored around the restaurant, don't expect any windows (its a little dark inside).

Staff is nice and helpful.

We didn't try their main entrees and just got their platter to go with the 2 bottles of Rose wine that we had.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon (around 4PM, yes we were day drinking, hahaha) and we had the place to ourselves but as we approached the evening, that place started to fill-up.

The Wine Club is a wine lounge where you can have a memorable night out. At the same time, it’s a distributor that offers a wide range of collectible Napa Valley and Sonoma wines to many distinguished hotels and restaurant chains nationwide. Their food menu is not extensive but quality of dishes is pretty solid.

Topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, and minced beef, the flatbread (PhP 500) comprised of a good balance of salt, spice, and a little spike of acidity. Mildly bouncy, the pepperoni had a meaty chew and the textural differences with the rest of the components were satisfactory. The crust was amply topped with cheese that added salt and a more depth of flavor to the pie.

Fresh Basil and Pistachio Nut Pesto Pasta (PhP 490) was rich, appetizing, and deeply flavorful. The pistachio nut mixture was finely granular yet still contributing to its nutty, herbaceous, and lemony profile. Adding cheese would certainly make a savory topping.

Presented with a deep, sweet, crisply charred crust, Grilled Tiger Prawn Sautee (PhP 590) was a hit. The shrimps were juicy and tender with a crunchy pop, and the layered flavors wonderfully burst with a decisive snap in our mouth.

Cabernet Braised Kitayama Wagyu Shank (PhP 880) hit all the beefiness and represented a perfect bite of food. We’re happy that it didn’t fall short of our expectation. The beef shanks were luxuriantly rich, moist, and juicy with intramuscular fat.

For our wine fix, we chose Long Barn Chardonnay 2014 (PhP 250/glass) and Bogle Merlot 2014 (PhP 280/glass) to pair with meat, seafood, pizza, and pasta. Long Barn Chardonnay 2014 is citrus, well-balanced, and almost full in the mouth. The palate is coated with notes along with hints of apricot, apple, balanced aromas of pear and vanilla, and an oak taste on the finish. On the other hand, Bogle Merlot 2014 tasted fresh with plum and fruity flavors with a touch of earth. Texture was smooth and lightly tannic. Overall, this medium-bodied red wine is great for sipping with food.

The event was a huge success with all the tables filled. People having the time of their life while chatting and enjoying glasses and glasses of wine. But I believe what makes this event such a success is the superb customer service by the waitstaff and the excellent engagement and interaction provided by the owner himself. He was very hands on, friendly and super approachable.

In this post: Rosso di Ca' Momi, Meat Lover Flatbread, Four Cheese Flatbread

The name itself is a giveaway that this place is for wine enthusiasts. But more than just a place for good wines, The Wine Club is also exclusively importing premium and ultra-premium wines from California. Given that alone, you might now have an idea on the quality of wines they are serving. The place is small yet cozy and serves more of a wine showroom than a restaurant. Look around and you'll find the walls are covered with shelves and cellars filled with various wine selections. Despite having a small space, the place managed to provide a rustic Italian ambiance perfect for that quiet private moment alone or with friends.

Was able to purchase a good deal from Deal Grocer and sample what they had to offer.

Included in their set menu for this steal are:
Fresh salad with crutons and dressing
300 grams premium rib eye steak
Red wine

Enjoyed every bit of it! Also ordered their mix cheese and ham platter which was the best part!

The Wine Club is the fourth stop of our Makati Food Crawl.  What better way to wash down all the food than by a glass of red.

I've never heard of Wine Club till now.  Good thing,  Mike gave us a brief background on how The Wine Club came to be.  This is a family run business and they are a decade old.  They are importers and distributors of California Wine.  The bistro  concept started two years ago,  patrons can buy the wine at retail price,  drink a glass or two and pair it with some of their savory dishes

Grub.

Mike mentioned that the pizza they offer is hands down the best paired with red.  Let's find out,  shall we?

| Meatlovers (Php 500).  Thin crust pizza topped with homemade Italian sausage.  This is mediocre as there is not enough meat to merit the name and the price tag

| Four Cheese Pizza (Php 490).  A beautiful concoction of blue cheese,  mozza,  parmesan and goat cheese.  Cheese is best paired with red,  personal preference.  I much on ungodly amounts of goat cheese and a drink countless glasses of red at home.  This pizza is the shiz!  The thin x chewy crust topped with generous amounts of cheese is love at first bite.  I

Bottle of Red.

Rosso di ca'momi hails from Napa Valley.  The wine was born out of the barrel,  thanks to a couple Italians who came to California and they decided to ferment some grapes.  This a freestyle wine comprised of Cabernet Sauvignion,  Zinfandel,  Merlot and Petite Sirah.

This is the first time I've tried California wine (my usual pick is Chile,  Romania and Aussie) and i was impressed.  A wonderful concoction of fruity with subtle hints of spice.  I loved every sip!

My rating is just for the wine.  Four stars,  baby!

A nice wine bar tucked away in a quiet Legaspi street. We had the place to ourselves on a Friday evening - which means either nobody knows about this place or wine is not the choice brew for after-work drinks in Makati.

Since we were in the mood for Sparkling Wine, we ordered a Michel Olivier tete de cuvee. It was balanced and flavorful and pretty good for a low-priced wine with bubbles.

Since we were in the mood for some Salpicao and there was none on the menu, the waiter suggested that he could ask the chef to convert Beef Tenderloin into Salpicao. This was promptly done and tasted quite good.

We could play music of our choice - so we chose Django Reinhardt 's gypsy jazz.

Head out here folks for a wine drinking session.

California wines are King in The Wine Club.

From Napa to Sonoma Valleys to even some Russian River Valley, The Wine Club surely is a wine enthusiasts' alcoholic heaven.

Tucked in Aguirre Street away from the pedestrian Greenbelt, this quaint shop offers wine bottle as low as Php700sh. Reasonably priced even if you drink it there with a 10% service charge.

Why not pair your wine choice with some tapas or pizza aka Flat Breads. The four cheese should be good with a Chardonnay and the meat pizza (pepperoni, Italian sausage and minced meat) with a more robust red Rosso Di Ca' Mom! (Php820/bottle). This red wine was a fantastic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel and Petit Sirah that was bursting with berry flavors, spices and wonderful finish.

Love that wine!

The fourth stop in the Epic Dining by Visa food crawl took us to this quaint little wine place in Aguirre St. in Legaspi Village.  The Wine Club specializes in California Wines and they really offer an extensive list of these selections.  They even served some decent pizza selections of  Four Cheese and Meat lovers. The food may be quite expensive but the wine is something you can look forward to as some can be sold at a bargain.

I like the rustic simple and winery ambiance feel. Had a great dinner date with the wifey😊. Both the white and red wine complemented the juicy and flavorful medium rare steak. A must go place for a dinner date. Will definitely be coming back.

The ambiance is so nice. Quaint and intimate. I'm not a wine drinker but I enjoyed the sparkling rosé. Loved the steak! Very tender and flavorful but not too salty. Will definitely go back to try their charcuterie.

This is definitely my club! Why there's no Wine Club in BGC? We need more wine restaurants in the world! Especially this one!!! They serve good food and the ambiance is so perfect! The service is fast and the restaurant is really clean. I love this hole-in-a-wall place!!!
