Went there with my family, all the way from Cavite, ..food is good, prices very reasonable, big servings too and good customer service. For me it's a great restaurant and great food ���
The reason why I keep on coming back here is because of the people. They're very warm and accomodating. It's really nice to eat with a happy heart. The food is well-presented and highly pleasant as always. It's also reasonably priced for average earners like me.

First time I dined in here sobrang I loved talaga that I came back again for a second time. Price is reasonable and the food serving is a lot. Sulit talaga siya and the food is really tasty. Thank god my assumption of this place was wrong at masarap talaga dito. Servers are also nice and attentive.
Surprisingly, for a relatively small restaurant they do have a lot of items in their menu. And if you compare it to other Japanese restaurants, the price range is not bad. For dinner we ordered the following:
Tantanmen ramen
-I personally thought the broth is too peanuty thick. It’s like a subtle combination of kare-kare sauce and curry. But it works. However tonight, the winner for me is my husband’s order which is —
Gyokai tsukemen ramen
-The broth tastes like the ramen we’ve had in Japan. This is a great choice.
Salmon teriyaki maki
-This is another good choice tonight!
Overall we paid only 590 pesos. The staff were friendly and the food did not disappoint. Plus, it’s nice to listen to Filipino pop songs sung in Japanese.
I must say we’ve found a hidden gem in SM Southmall.
The foods we ordered weren't as tasty as expected but the affordability of all the dishes in the Tetsu Japanese Ramen menu is something to celebrate. The quality matches the price so it’s good enough. They also have large servings and nice plating. A bowl of ramen can be shared by two already. We only paid P950 for this set.

Always a good experience dining at Tetsu. We always eat the ramen. There are quite a selection for the ramen as well as other Japanese food on the menu like maki and tempura.
I had cravings and Tetsu didn’t disappoint. Tastes good for an affordable price. I didn’t get to take photo of the teppanyaki we got but i tried it, I would go back for it. 😋
Place is quite nice, it resembles a simple Japanese ramen place but a bit small to accommodate under 50 pax simultaneously.
Service was okay, waiting time was about 10-15mins for a 2 ramens, 1sushi sampler and 1 set meal of tempura.
Food is surprisingly good for an affordable price. You should try their shoyu and tonkotsu ramen for 140.0 per bowl its not bad!

Spent Mothers' Day dinner here. Truly value for money. We ordered the tenderloin meal set, mixed seafood meal set (meal sets include rice, iced tea, dessert, curry sampler), ramen and cheese sticks (just refer to the menu for their japanese names haha) plus excellent service despite being jampacked being today is Mothers Day - all these for only 1030 pesos! PLUS, for the occasion, moms were given a long-stem rose, not one but two bottles of Kikkoman soy sauce (the other is "less salt"), at may pa-photobooth pa, san ka pa! Just lovely to cap my moms day celebration.

Tetsu has a wide array of ramen to choose from and my favorite is Gyokai Tsukumen.
I also love the Bento dishes they are really worth the price.

We had our post valentines date here. So many varieties and cheaper food compare to other japanese restaurants. Ambiance is just okay, maybe they can improve for a little. Overall I recommend this place.
The highlight of our meal was the dashi maki (egg omelette roll) its so soft and tasty and its not cold like some japs resto. They have big portions of their food and its affordable we only paid less than 1000 so its a good deal. Also the staff is very attentive to our needs. Over all i will come back again 😋

Good food and great value for money. If you’re a Japanese food lover and has a big appetite, Tetsu is for you. Staff are nice and accommodating as well. We tried Tetsu Ramen and Bento. Huge serving, nice plating, and taste wise, satisfying.
In my opinion the best Japanese option at Southmall. Their California Fried maki is fab!... the potato croquet is a must have for a starter. Only regret their sashimi options were limited both times I went... wanted to try their sea urchin... no luck yet!

Tried their tempura meal , hiroshima or they also called it " cold ramen" it has two kind of dipping soup the spicy with sesame seed and sweet & sour ( spiciness level is okay don't worry if you're thinking sobrang spicy nya because of redness ng dipping soup). Tetsu Ramen it has many toppings ( meat, veggie and hard boil egg). Pakomen Ramen grabe wow ung meat serving sa ramen na to it's big, you can eat it with rice you may add spicy powder to add some taste.

Whenever I’m feeling tired and stressed due to work, this will always be my “redemption food”. Their ramen is so affordable yet so yummy. Their salmon sushi is good as well. I’m always satisfied with their serving and their beef, so juicy and tender! Hayys, I can’t wait for another visit here.

Quite surprised that their tsukemen is good! I'd say it's kinda close to what you can get from Ramen Yushoken. Although the service took a little bit longer, the taste of the food brought redemption to this place. The 50% off is an additional bonus. Although it's not that important when you're looking for delicious tsukemen ramen around the metro.
PS. Please remove the vegetables covering the noodles.
It was our first time to taste authentic ramen (authentic meaning not the instant noodle type of dish) and the experience definitely did not disappoint. First, tetsu slashed their ramen prices from 280 pesos to 140 pesos. Next, upon tasting the dish, the broth was very tasty and the pork was so soft and mild in flavor. The noodles soaked up the umami-tasting broth and the soft-boiled egg made the dish even more delectable. But other than the yummy food we noticed how fast the service was and how courteous the staff were. Will definitely recommend this resto for ramen lovers who wouldn't want to spend an arm and a leg for a delicious bowl of noodles.
This place is a family favorite. Service is great, food is delicious (with effort at presentation), and choices are good, despite the sad lack of tofu dishes. One of the few places here that serves okonomiyaki, which is good though might be a bit too full of ginger for some people.
Me and my family always dine here. It's my moms favorite aswell. I can tell that the sashimi are fresh. And all the foods are great. For us, Tetsu is an authentic Japanese Restaurant.
I’ve been to SM Southmall so many times and never thought about trying Tetsu, until I saw how cheap the ramen was. I was surprised with the quality of the ramen bowl I had. The broth tasted good, the tonkatsu was nice, the noodles were of good quality and for only 180 pesos. I also had a side dish of potato croquettes. The potato would’ve been better if it was mashed inside, not cubed. But it was okay. I also took out a portion of Katsu pork (Tonkatsu) with katsu sauce to have at home later. The meat and coating were very good. I would go back to Tetsu again.

tried their cold ramen as this is my first time to eat a cold ramen. it is really good! the staff are all polite and helpful! highly recommended. also, they have regular promos like 50% off on ramen.
They have a really affordable japanese meals. I really liked their kani salad! The taste of their ramen were also okay (i think the taste are just worth its price). And i really commend their accommodating staff (plus they are also knowledgable about their menu/ dishes). They also have a good store ambiance that can make you experience a real japanese resto.
We ate here once on a whim and was surprised that the food is really good and all the servers were attentive. The menu is extensive so there’s something for everyone. Their ramen tastes good for a resto that doesn’t specialise in ramen. We came back a second time and the food and service is consistent. The presentation of the food is great as well and the price won’t break your budget. Will surely eat here again.

Came back two more times this month and the food is still yummy and service is awesome! I recommend to try all the flavors of their ramen, which is currently on special at only P140 per bowl!
This Japanese restaurant in Southmall intrigued me with the low price of their ramen. It is incredibly cheaper as compared to the more known ones. To my surprise, cheaper doesn’t mean the taste is any lesser. In fact, the broth, the noodles, and the meat were satisfactory! The ambience was good as well! Go check this out!
We ordered ramen and gyoza. The tantamen ramen was great, while the gyoza was not so good and a bit too rubbery in texture. I only recommend ordering the ramen here.
The food and experience is always worth it when everytime I eat here. Specially the food because you can see how is it prepared. I recommend for new customers to eat their sushi first before the main meal.

Maki was ok. Nothing special about it but good nonetheless. The wife didn’t like the sauce though but for me again was ok. Salmon sashimi was thickly sliced and was fresh so definitely good. I also liked their ramen. I found the broth to be light yet tasty plus the right amount of spicy.

Service is top notch. They were even lind enough to give is an extra helping of free takoyaki and in typical jap resto vibe the whole resto greets you as come in. The only minor thing I’d recommend to get 5* is a little more attentiveness when water is running low or when the condiments aren’t complete. When I asked though it was served promptly and with all smiles.

If you want a nice comfortable place where you can get some good japanese food this place gets the job done. Not the best I’ve had for the price but is ok. It’s a little noisy though since it’s in a mall but if you don’t mind that then by all means give this place a go.

This place had a certain “fast food” vibe to it but technically, this is not a fast food resto (just making sure I clarified it).
The moment we were seated, they gave us a complimentary, freshly made, 4 piece takoyaki. Yes it was good but not the best i’ve tasted.
When I opened their menu, I noticed that it was a bit pricey, but after the food we ordered were placed on our table, I finally realized why- most of the food they served was for sharing.
Their crunchy california maki was a good starter. My daughter enjoyed the cheese sticks. We had some Tantanmen Ramen (had an earthy taste to it and the broth was very thick). Their Japanese fried rice may serve as a stand alone meal, because of the veggies and meat chunks (yes it was good!). We ordered the cheesy katsu style (we brought this home and ate it anyway). Also tried their chicken teriyaki (not the rice bowl one).. it was served with salad on the side.
Service: 5/5 (servers and the rest of the restaurant crew were very very attentive. Love it!)

Been there more than a handful already, been ordering their Ramen ever since, tasted most of it actually. They cater to all of my family's preferences which is a big plus. Considering that all of us (our parents, me and my 4 younger brothers) have different likes.
To be honest, The Ramen is the main reason I go there. Tastes good, better than most. Affordable price without sacrificing the amount of serving and the taste. And the staff are really amazing. They've been very accommodating and nice ever since our first try.
Give it a try, there's nothing to lose.

I've been turning down my aunt every time she asks if I want to try Tetsu because of a few reviews I've seen before but today I gave in.
We ordered the Hiroshima Shoyu Ramen, Tonkotsu Plain Ramen, Tsukemen and the crispy california maki. I was surprised at how good their food is for the price. My tonkotsu ramen had such a rich broth that you'd want to add rice to it after having the noodles, the pork slices were so tender and the noodles had a soft, chewy texture. The crispy california maki was very good as well, even my sister who wasn't a big fan of sushi liked it.
For dessert we had the taiyaki, which was a fish shaped japanese pancake with red bean paste inside served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We were a bit disappointed because the taiyaki had a dense texture and it felt very dry. Hope they improve that.
Their staff were all very accommodating and had good knowledge of their food. They all had smiles on their faces while serving us as well.
Now I wonder why some people gave them such low ratings and poor comments. We will surely come back to try their other food.
We love the Tantanmen ramen and we always order it every time. I personally love the Salmon maki and it's really good. I find their food cheap compared to other japanese restaurants.
Attentive service. Almost always packed when we come by since they opened their Php140 ramen promo. Not much difference between the different ramen offered but I personally think it's great value for your money. Their gyoza is without reproach. Been here almost twice a month this year. I love their iced tea, too!

My first ever visit was last sept. 16, 2014, the food price was very expensive back then. Service was prompt, servers were accommodating and attentive.
I remember the time that I don't have enough cash and I asked them if I can pay using my card, and unfortunately my card was not accepted because of some issues with their machine, I was worried and I got really shy but they assisted me and said it's fine and everything was alright and help me to get to nearest ATM . 😇 Back to the restaurant they still served me well and even got me a free dessert. 💗👍🏻
Now, I usually come and dine when I crave for Japanese food. Also, I'm not sure what happened to that expensive restaurant but thank God they're now affordable. 👌🏻

If you are up for some quality Japanese dishes then I strongly recommend Tetsu. I instantly fell inlove with their Okonomiyaki. Their Ramen and Bento's exquisite taste makes everything on point! I'm from Japan and I must say, This resto is not so away from home. Kudos to their Cheery Manager and Japanese Chef for their hardwork!

Gyokai Tsukemen - seafood based broth but the noodles is serve separately. It's my first time trying it and yes, it was really good!
Yakiniku is my fave, it has this sweet sauce that is better than the ones I've tried before.

I don't know why this resto has a very low rating. I'm giving them a 3.5 because of the serving and price. Maybe they didn't capture the taste of the Filipino's? Some ramen houses who claims to be authentic only captured the taste of the Filipino's but disregarded authenticity.
We went for dinner on a Thursday and the place was packed. The ramen was good and very cheap at a promo price of Php.140.00/bowl. But their tonkatsu broth was really tasty compared to other ramens I tasted in other japanese restos. The owner was there all the time attending to the customer's needs, btw he is Japanese.
I think you should try it first before judging it by its low rating and bad reviews. I think you'll have a different perception after tasting. Happy Eating!

When I heard my friend exclaimed about the promo as we passed by, I had misgivings about the kind, quality and taste of ramen they are serving, but as my friend said, how would we know if we don't try? So in we went, the nice young lady sat us, and as my friend was looking at the menu, the wait staff went through the whole specialty and promos, but just as soon as she stopped for a breath, I asked if they serve cold noodles (my ramen addiction at the moment) and she said they do, I said I'll just have that.
Surprise! Surprise! Our orders were good! I mean for a promo, my expectations were not very far from the bottom, but this place just proved me wrong. Okey, servings may be small - like snack small- but the taste more than made up for that! It was so good that my friend spooned every last drop of her ramen soup! She doesn't do that ever, except in here. As for my cold ramen, they call it Tokyo Tsukemen, it was strange in a good way because this was the first time I ate the cold noodles dipped in a warm soup. I asked what it was and I was told that the main component was a pig back fat. It didn't taste like a pig fat though, which was why I didn't recognise it. As for the Kani Salad, nothing special there. They do serve house tea in hot or cold, you just have to request for it.
This for sure was a surprising ramen experience!
By the way, they offer 20% off on all their main courses, and looking at their prices, I think it's a good deal :)
