Nice place. Many to choose from. Worth the price. Deliciously different 👍🏻😍 By the way this was taken in Feb.15,2020 (late review)
We went to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Food is good, so is the service. Will definitely go back.
First option for birthdays. Everything i love is here.
My family loves to eat here especially the tempura and sashimi. We are always celebrating our birthday here. Great food good service! We will be back here soon!
Their sushi and sashimi section are great! Their Western food options are not though. That's what's preventing me from rating them a full 5 stars. Hopefully now nagimprove sila. I haven't gone back since.
One of my son's favorite corner. The restaurant is very child-friendly. Children can choose whatever they want to eat as long as they would finish them all. We love the food also. And the staffs are very polite. Thumbs up!
Its a family tradition to celebrate birthday in sambo because the celebrants are free of charge. Aside from that we enjoy the food most especially the takoyaki and tempura.
My favorite eat-all-you-can place! It’s worth the price! The food is good and the servers are accommodating and attentive! Chocolate fondue fountain is the best! Will definitely come back again!

Sambo is love! for someone like me who loves buffet and love japanese and korean food this resto is so perfect. It’s like you’ve met your first love and your one true love at the same time. I could never ask for a better place to chow down great variety of food but here. It may be quite pricey but who cares they serve good food. 😆
Update! I appreciate the branch's improvement after a year. But I still wish the salmon sashimi and sushi were better hahaha. I celebrated my birthday here and unlike last year na mejo di ko na vibe yung staff, this time they're friendly and accommodating. Definitely enjoyed dining here this time. 💖
I like the Black Sesame Ice cream and all their Maki rolls that comes in different flavors :-) The food choices were overwhelming. Ambiance was great and staffs were helpful.
One of the most famous buffet in Metro! They offer mostly Japanese food. I really love their Matcha ice cream!! I keep coming back for more 😆 Dont get takoyaki 🤢👎🏻
This is one of my fave buffet restaurants in the metro.
Sambo Kojin offers Japanese and Korean dishes, including sushi and sashimi, seafood and various meats for grilling. I love the wide variety of food and overall taste & quality.
My picks: lechon and roast beef in the carving station, creamy noodle dish, creamy chicken salad, spicy tofu soup. Cakes here are also good which is a plus point because dessert tables in other buffets tend to be just so-so.
Overall, I'm very happy with this buffet restaurant.
My second favorite eat-all-you-can place. I am in love with their frozen yogurt plus Japanese cheesecake combo! Of all my years of eating here, I've experienced both their highs and lows. Thankfully their food stays consistent, as 2 years ago I liked nothing from their menu. I've come back recently and loved it again.
#superb grabe ang sarap wala akong masabe , sa staff medyo mabagal sila pag patak ng 12 pm i dont know pero kailangan pa namin mag follow 3x sa inorder namin na mango shake ..un lang pero sa food. The best talaga as in and sambo thank you sa birthday cake love it 🥰

This must be the best value for money buffet in south. The chocolate fondue fountain is a delight. It takes some time to replenish the marshmallows which is understandable since it's always in demand. The food is good. Servers are attentive.
Literally a diner's dream, especially when you want quantity. Lots of Japanese dishes that you want to try out, I almost forgot our table is full. There's also a lot of desserts and beverages. They have different promos as well (for birthdays and graduations).
I recommend sambo since my husband and I loves to eat samgyupsal or korean cuisine and steaks too, will come back again soon! I love how kind your waiters and servers are

Celebrated two birthdays.. nice foods and highly recommended for family bam treat, friendly staff... enjoy muchh and super loaded after our buffet treat❤️😬👍🎂😃
Our family's go-to buffet restaurant for special occasions. Their meat quality remains consistently good throughout the years. The also have a good sushi and maki selection versus competitors.
~My "go to" buffet restaurant. The price might be a bit higher than the other buffet restaurants but its worth every penny because of the variety of dishes that they offer.
~hope you can improve the ventillation system.
Korean and Japanese Food are my favorites. And they serve the food just the way I like it.
For the price, You really get what you paid for. Will highly recommend this!! :D
Best buffet restaurant if you want to have more than just korean barbecue since they have wide range of food choices. Try the roast beef from the carving station, too. Takoyaki is also delicious.
Food 5/5. Ambiance 5/5. Staff 4/5
Must be the best buffet restaurant I've been to. Birthday promos and other discounts are available year round. Loved it
Nice large and spacious setting. Amazing range of food. Only dare venture if you have a serious appetite. Has a fun dinner with the kids ... the Korean BBQ was a first for me!
Great experience here. Altho there are more japanese varieties than korean, majority tasted really good. Roast beef carving and galbi jjim are very tender, tempura had a light crunch. Korean bbq beef is expectedly tasty with the gochuang sauce. Udon carbonara pleasantly suprised me with its mild creaminess that's quite indulgent. I would order it ala carte if it wasn't a buffet service.
The okonomiyaki and takoyaki were a letdown tho - super starchy and not much filling inside. But the sushi had excellent quality for a buffet. Helped myself to 2 rounds of big scoop ice cream which provided the right sweet to cap off a satisfying lunch. Price is justified at 900+ for weekend with no time limit. Service is very good - attentive and courteous. Place has ample size. Hope to be back soon.
.
Best Yakiniku buffet place in the south. They use quality meats and they refill the food fast. The service is good too. Be ready to wait if you weren’t able to reserve seats. It’s worth it anyway.
I'm not really a big fan of buffets but when the company you're working for decided to celebrate a holiday in a buffet restaurant, how could you resist? Besides, it's a great opportunity for me to improve my palate and spend good time with my colleagues. Sambo Kojin was chosen by our company since travel time is a breeze from the office provided there's no traffic jam.
Sambo Kojin in SM Southmall is spacious enough to accomodate a department's company event. The glass wall allows the sunlight to come in thus, giving a nice lit ambience to the restaurant. I also like their matte black plates, it is simple yet sophisticated. Since we are already booked, getting in is a breeze. We didn't occupy the restaurant for the whole day and I can see diners are on waiting queue outside. I love how cheerful and attentive the staff is. Their dance number is something to look forward to. It's very entertaining! I love their food especially the Yakiniku grilling experience. I'm going to share my memorable dishes below.
My favorites (in no particular order) are:
● Mini Cake Slice Dessert in Coconut Dacquoise
● Premium Ice Cream Selection especially the Black Sesame and Strawberry flavors
● All of their colorful and yummy Sushi
● Fruit Shakes especialy the Yellow or Ripe Mango Shake and the Cucumber Lemonade
● Tempura even those with Veggies
● The spicy Kimchi Rice
● Grilling Fun! Japanese Yakiniku and Korean Barbeque. Personal favorites: shrimp, beef rolls and enoki bacon rolls.
To wrap it up, Sambo Kojin is one best of the buffet restaurants I have dine in catering Japanese and Korean cuisines. Make sure to make reservation coz they are always jampacked!

We went here to celebrate my birthday last September. It was morning so the queue was not that long and we were immediately shown to our table. The food quality was very good especially the salmon sashimi. I just wish that they refill the foods faster next time bec of their many customers. The ambiance was okay as well bec the restaurant was clean and organised. Their servers were somewhat attentive even though there are many customers.
This is my go-to restaurant every time na gusto ko mag-buffet. It's worth the price din naman because of so many food varieties; the beef, pork, chicken and the drinks and desserts! Will never get tired of this resto.
It's my 5th visit here in Sambo SM Southmall and been my favorite buffet restaurant. I always love their sashimi and shrimp of course. Their dressing was awesome too. Love their orange ice cream and espresso. However, their cakes were not as good as before. Most of them were dry maybe because they're exposed for far too long. They're tough, and maybe it's just me but they taste the same. Love that they have juice dispenser now, aside from that you can also have few choices of fresh fruit shakes. It's always a good experience here.
Staffs are polite and friendly. I would just recommend that please let the customers who called for reservations get in first before entertaining walk-ins or have someone to assist them to avoid misunderstanding.
I would love to give 5 stars but maybe next time when the desserts are better.

Sulit na sulit pera ko dito👌 meat heaven for me. Their tempura is being served diligently and the chef was kind enough to guide me with the best sauce that I should consider. Thank you!
I love Sambo kojin! The food was excellent so much selection. And you can also cook your own selection. Fruit shakes is available. Tempura was on point. Sorry 🍺 beer lovers none available. But meat lovers tons of it here. Good place to throw a birthday party. They dance through the day and night I believe. Referring about the staff.
I've been here for a lot of times already and I can say that this is my favorite buffet restaurant ever. I love the yakiniku and all. Maybe that's the reason why we keeo on coming back:) The only thing is that the holding time of reservations is only 30 minutes so you shoulde be there on time.
This is my favorite buffet restaurant. The quality of food is always fresh. I love their new flavor of korea section. Waiters are very helpful and would always smile. Make sure to have a reservation before going here because this place is always packed even on a weekday.
my first time here with my crazy friends and cannot imagine we start from 430PM to 9PM waaaahhh #pigout to the highest level hahahaha.. walang humpay na kwentuhan kasabay nang walang humpay na pagkain... super like ang choices of food lalo na ang korean BBQ and super daming choices nang sushi .. carving section the best din... what makes it all so yummy and unforgettable is that you have a crazy friends with you #nodiet LOL
PS: medyo turn off lang ang cr nila, sa laki ng place at dami nang tao, dapat ng effort sila expand restroom nila just like Vikings
This is my one of my happiest place on earth. Haha. Quality beef choices, that creamcheese cake and the watermelon shake. Although sometimes the quality of shrimp is questionable.
Meat heaven!!! Bagay na bagay to sa mga Ketogenics. Dmeng beef ha. Alta! Eh kse medjo Alta dn ang presyo pero sulit. Medjo di ako natuwa sa di libreng kape. Maryosep nmn kayo. Maliit na bagay eh. Beef libre Kape wit?! Nalungkot ako. Babooooo

Love the food. wide variety of choices with food and drinks. Service was great. Very clean place. Would definitely go back and recommend it to my friends.
We dine in here during my birthday. And i loved it aside from we only pay one pax. Haha coz its my birthday! I loved it!!! Lovin’ there fresh fruit shakes. Typical fresh fruits not powdered shakes! Promise! And the California maki and the fresh dishes uugghh everything! Delicious! Looking forward for my next bday.. haha.. i will come back here.. i think this is the best buffet. You guys should make reservation before headin’ in.
The meats for the grill are great, it's nice that they have expanded the korean meats. However the cooked viands and carving station meats are quite cold. 🙁 desserts are good too, they should have added a coffee drink option.
We celebrated my friend's birthday here at sambo. I definitely like the food especially the dessertssssss! Looking forward to eat here with fam.
4th time dining here in Sambo Kojin aka my fave buffet resto in the metro. Me and my family usually go here during fridays and or weekends and during these days the place tends to be crowded and also you would be required to be on queue just to get a seat unless you have made a reservation beforehand. What I love most about Sambokojin is that there are a lot of food choices and also they are all fresh. Customer service is really good... couldn’t wait to go back!!
We always eat here because of the good service, kind staff and delicious food. I love their variety of food per per lane and staff are very accommodating.
I ate here with my family and we were satisfied with the food that is served with quality. I liked how the restaurant maintained its cleanliness.
Celebrated my mom's birthday! Food and place was great 💖 We were in food comma after haha. The crew are also very accomodating. It's my first time to eat in a buffet and the experience was great.
I'd pick this buffet place over Vikings on a good day because their ebi tempura almost never runs out. Salmon sashimi is juicy and fresh. The addition of their roast beef, lechon belly, and lamb offerings made the price go higher, but I think it's still worth coming back to Sambo Kojin. Don't expect the desserts to be wondrous though. The crepes are okay, the ice cream is nice, the cakes....mousses... are a wholly different and unfortunate story.
Really not a fan of Asian cuisine but loved all the cuisines especially the korean foods. And ofcourse, the dessert!!! All in all, sambokojin was sulit! Will definitely comeback!
Also, the staff were very approachable. 😊

The dilemma in eating at buffets is that everything almost tastes the same — but that’s not the case at Sambokojin. I love how every grilled dish is flavored differently.
Sambokojin for me is the safest and cheapest when it comes to taste.. hehe been here a couple if times! What i like the most was the grilled meats and the pork rib bulgogi super soft as in!! It would melt in your mouth.. tempura was okay.. sushi not really mas madami rice kesa sa topping 😂 but the over all experience was satisfactory

The food is great, but the the place is a bit cramped. The tuna, and salmon sashimi are good, same goes for the temaki. The roast beef will drive you to get for seconds, and the tempura section has a lot of choices. The real winner is premium ice cream section, the black sesame, avocado, and real strawberry flavors are amazing.
If you are planning to dine here, make sure to have your reservation as waiting game for walk-in is real. However, despite the long queue, ambiance and quality of foods are worth the wait. I just hope that they improve their selection of desserts.
Food: Variety of dishes was good, but, honestly, there's nothing special about the taste. There's nothing that you'll really crave and go back for. Probably the only good thing about their food is really just the variety, especially the meat and seafood section.
Service: I think this is Sambokijin Southmall's best asset. Servers were very accommodating and do your requests no matter how repetitive. We went here with a child, so we really needed an extra hand and patience from the staff.
Price: Hmmm.. Given the variety and service, I think the price was justified. If you have celebrations for people with big appetite, this is a good place to go to. However, if you're looking for a special dish that'll keep you craving and going back, there's nothing ( at least for me) like that here.
We travel all the way from Batangas to Sm Southmall just to eat at Sambo Kojin! And it was worth it! I love the selection of Japanese and Korean dishes. The staff are friendly and always ready to assist your every need! I always enjoy dining here because the food is great, the place is clean and the staff are all so accommodating.
Great ambiance, wide food selection and very accomodating staff at a very affordable price! Only downside is, it's quite hard to make a reservation because it's difficult to reach them through FB messages , sms and calls and we end up waiting in the walk in queue. But once you're in, you'll never want to go out.
My mom and I went to Sambo Kojin for my 21st birthday (advance celebration). Since it is our first time to eat in a buffet restaurant, I'm not able to compare it with buffet restaurants within the price range of 888 pesos. Here is my review
Food:
Meat and seafood: The food is fresh and so yummy! Luckily, there are times that I am the first person to pick when they refilled the foods for grilling. However with the Rosuto (the pork one), we noticed a foul odor.
Dessert: There are wide selection of desserts you can choose from but the desserts served in ramekins are not refilled once it is consumed.
Drinks: We enjoyed the watermelon and mango shake also the cucumber lemonade.
Service: Very friendly staff! Always smiling! They refill the sauces for every table like you don't need to approach them to refill the sauces in your table. Also since it is my birthday, I don't have a governmemt issued I.D. yet so I presented my school I.D. and my original birth certificate and they granted my Free Birthday Buffet. Their cellphone number shown in the contacts of SM Southmall branch is unresponsive.
Ambiance: We arrived at Sambo Kojin around 3:00 p.m. so the number of people eating are not causing Sambo Kojin to be crowded even though it was Saturday. The ambiance is good and the restaurant is spacious.
Awesome foods! We definitely coming back 👌suchi are great, the ramen are soo good! Thank you for yhe birthday treat, it was all worth it. Staff are accommodating, korean and japanese food are one of the best serves here.

Go to place for an empty stomach with a lightweight budget. Maybe think of new things to add on the buffet. To sum it up, top player sa buffet game. Good job.
Bbqs, cakes, fry, korean foods, japanese foods, smoothies, ice cream. Pero di ko makakalimutan yung watermelon shake nila 😭😭😭 naka 7glass ako ng watermelon shake, ending inubo ako. Will come back for more 😊
I love their roast beef and lamb. They were so juicy and tender and melts in your mouth. I love their Okonomiyaki and their Korean dishes, too. Their sushi were just okay, as well as their salmon and tuna slices. The only good thing about their dessert station was their crepe. But most of their cakes were so devastating. I hope they could improve their desserts. Their service is great, too. The restaurant may be a bit crowded but it's alright.
It's my mother's birthday and we decided to celebrate at Sambokojin Southmall.
It was my first time eating at Sambokojin, despite my near residency to SM Southmall. I was always curious how the food tasted because the place was always crowded especially on the weekends. Good thing about this place is they have table reservation. Since it was a Friday, we have already booked our table even before leaving the house, so we didn't have to wait so long until we were called from the waiting list.
I'm an avid fan of Japanese and Korean food; Buffets... not so much. What I loved in Sambokojin was mainly the Japanese dishes: Sushi, Miso soup, Tempura, and so on. I wasn't that impressed with the Korean food like the Kimchi, Chapche (Too bland), Bulgogi (Too oily for me). But for the Korean Barbecue stuff, a must try also. For the deserts, Matcha lovers, go celebrate. Matcha flavored ice cream is available and it is superb. 💚
Being stuffed to the brim, I wanted to wash it all down with a nice cup of tea. But to my surprise it is not inclusive of the buffet price. Pretty disappointed too because they did not sing Happy Birthday for my mother.
Having said all this, I have rated Sambokojin Southmall a 4, aside from the good tasting Japanese food, I would like to commend their good customer service. Very friendly. Thank you to the wonderful staff working there. Good job to you all!
I just can't resist to keep coming back here. Foods are awesome! Highly recommended to oriental food lovers. Hands down to your service. Jolo is an example of a good waiter, he keeps on smiling even though he carries heavy plates. Kudos to everyone! 😊😊😊

One word to describe myself - "Practical".
I don't spend a lot of money in clothes, make ups, and other luxurious stuff. But in this buffet restaurant, an 888pesos per meal is totally worth it.
The atmosphere is awesome, the food is undoubtedly delicious, the place is well ventilated, the air-conditioned is great, and most importantly, the staff is incredibly nice and well mannered. Everything in this restaurant is superb. It was surely an amazing experience.
I've been here many times and they have never disappoint me. If you're having a second thought on coming here just because of the price, I'll tell you now, it was 100% percent worth the price. 😊
P.S. I won't recommend any food suggestions because every dish in this restaurant is a must-try 😊💜
Definitely better than other mid-priced buffet places. Although they only focus on Japanese-Korean food, they have a lot of options available. Korean food selections are good (I like the fried chicken), Japanese selections are just OK. I like availing the birthday treat here (since its a generous promo). Best to eat here weekdays lunch since weekends are always packed.
They have wide selection of food, worth it for the price. I love the ambience and the crew are very accommodating. This is what comes to my mind first when i feel like eating a loot! Lol!
The place was huge and the ambience is really nice. A lot of food to choose from especially the raw meats that we like to grill. The japanese food selection is also one of my most favorite. All the raw fishes like salmon and tuna are served fresh all the time. The tempura are served hot and crispy. There are also a lot of selection for the drinks, you can either go for a lemonade, a fruit juice, or a fresh fruit shake. The dessert table is also my favorite especially the chocolate fountain with the marshmallows and the ice cream station. The carving station is quite nice though I haven't tried it yet, maybe next time. :) The price is quite high but it is really worth it. The service is also good. I will definitely go back.
Totally enjoyed my time. I usually come here with family or even alone!!! For some "me time". The staff here are welcoming.the managers are very maasikaso especially whenever I dine alone by myself. Asikaso to the max.para kang hindi mag isa kakain.lol! Pati shrimp mo ipagbabalat ka pa!thanks guys!
Food is great! Wide selection. Just make sure mauna ka palagi pagkabukas ng resto para madami food and wont wait for the refill. Number 1 sa pila ika nga.haha
Will keep coming back. Thats a promise!hehe
The food was great!! Place are clean and the services is fine. I suggest before you dine there you must reserve a day before.... very long line for waiting people...
You know how much I like this? to the point I might even have my bday here! :D the beef bulgogi was so good. It's like a fresh escape from the bothersome things school throws at us. Writing this review and I'm already hungry for more sambokojin.
For my birthday, like any unoriginal 20 year old adult, i demanded for buffet. Since southmall is nearby, i opted for sambo kojin.
Ambiance: pretty solid. Clean as well considering the time we got there.
Service: not very fast since there were a lot of people at the time. Not annoyingly slow either.
Food:
We started off with the things we could grill. The selection for meat was impressive but seafood was somewhat lacking. I loved the different tempura they had on display and the korean chicken. The sashimi was also good. The takoyaki was not the best i've had, there was barely any filling.
There were also a lot of sushi to choose from and even if i liked sushi best, i ate it last because i wanted to avoid rice and noodles so i can eat more without feeling like crap.
The drinks available were also good. There were a lot of desserts to choose from. I wanted smores pie but the crust was too hard and i couldn't get a slice out. It looked so good but that's probably why it was still whole. Bummer. Others were good though. They also had fresh fruits.
Also, their free birthday cake was tiny and the bland and the film where they printed the birthday message was (???) idk.
Still. Recommended.
ang saya, ang sulit pa!
my dad's very last birthday buffet on earth spent here:(
spent P3500 only for 7 pax because of 2 birthday celebrants get to eat for free (tama ba?) and the 2 other senior citizens in the group get the discounts. we had different food preferences so this buffet was a good choice. the triathletes were happy with the fish, the ones with allergies got to pick what they could eat and everyone had fun grilling stuff.
My FAVORITE buffet place ever. Always spent my birthdays and anniversaries here. Complete with my favorites from sashimi to ssamgyupsal. Forever a fan of Sambokojin
Waaaaaaaaaaay better than Yakimix, about a hundred times better. Has a wide variety of dishes, always fresh and always hot. Budget is on the spot, given the wide selection, taste, and quality.
But you really have to queue up early if you and your companions want to get a table or too, on a regular day or on special occasions, they sell em quickly than you can say "May available seats pa?"
My favorite buffet and branch of sambokojin...tried other buffet restaurant like dads and vikings but i didn't crave for their food like i crave for sambokojin. Never there was a time sambokojin failed my expectations 👍👍👍
If your into Korean and Japanese food this is the right place for you! California maki's are a must try. Definitely going back to this place!
I am always a fan of buffet and for me, Sambokujin is a buffet where you and your family can enjoy. Aside from the wide variation of foods served at the buffet table, you will also enjoy cooking your own meals.

I like to eat here. Accesible from my place. Service is great, food are delish. You can choose from many choices. It's also fun to celebrate here.
For buffet me have always been a fan buffet and the first thing that comes to our mind is sambokojin! :D Since we love meat and love to eat shrimps I thought Sambokojin was the perfect venue to celebrate my 27th birthday ahahaha.. our experience in SM southmall branch was fantastic I do not have any complaints Food was awesome the staff were great and desserts were just yummy. The drinks were also good :) I love their watermelon shake! the buffet food was really awesome we never had any "ay ubus na po" moment :) So I am giving it a 4.5 star rate!
This was my second Sambo Kojin encounter and this branch finally didn't disappoint. SM Southmall branch is way spacious than in West Ave. Good thing that I had to take a few paces before I get to reach the buffet area so it took a long time for me to get full easily. Stressing as it may seem to accommodate a lot of hungry customers but I'm glad that their staff members are friendly and alert. It is truly a satisfying service for 900 bucks per head. The sushi area will always be my favorite section.
